Bart thought it was going to be a good day, too. This morning when he awoke the seas were serene, and the sky bleed beautiful shades of crimson and pink. It was now roughly the afternoon, and the sun was blocked out by the thick storm clouds that gloomed over the water. The feeble fishing vessel he had "scavenged" from Sandi-Garius had already been plagued with leaks but before the storm Bart was able to keep them at bay.

Like Neptune's own volley of arrows, the rain poured hard. The water constantly flowed over both his eyes, forcing him to use the magic of his eye patch to see. Through chaos he could vaguely make out a large Galleon with tattered sails. As Bart got pushed closer by the viscous waves he could see the ship's name "The Phantom on the Horizon', painted on it's side in large letters. The pirate Captain grabbed the nearest rope he could find and began to climb....

"This is a nice boat...a very nice boat..."

Wrath reveled in the storm around him. He reveled in the thunder, the rain, the blood, and the bodies. He lifted his broadsword and ran his hand over it, cleaning some of the more stubborn bits of human flesh that didn't wash off from the rain. "Today's been a good day," he growled while staring at the sword.

Wrath, bored one day in hell, decided to go up to earth. He decided to swim the ocean, knowing that there are many mortals that travel by ship nowadays, it would be a good way to trap many of them in a confined space and have his way with them. He loved that there was a storm to go along with this slaughter. It made it more dramatic.

Wrath turned his attention to the last mortal on the ship he had let live. He was a young one, probably not anywhere over eighteen years of age. He was hanging on a hook from the handrail that was placed on the captains deck. The hook was placed on his cheek...like a fish. Wrath laughed once again at the irony and thought himself clever for choosing a fisherman to die like a fish. He walked over to the mortal and ran his finger down the blade of his broadsword. "Now that all of your shipmates are dead, I'll take care of you now..." He walked closer to the mortal, the boards underneath him creaked at his weight. "What do you fishermen do after catch a fish?" The young fisherman only responded in a whimper, Wrath grabbed his neck. "It will end faster if you just tell me." he said, the smile fading from his face. He hated mortals that didn't cooperate. "W-we-...we impale the head...killing the fish quickly." The mortal stuttered. Wrath's frowned more "How boring." He said in an unsatisfied voice as he let go of the fishermans neck. "I have a better idea," the smile went back into his face as he lifted his broadsword and, with a stab, opened the mortals stomach.

He smiled more as the contents of his stomach emptied out and screams filled the ship. Wrath watched him for around 2 minutes until he bled out. That's what was bad about mortals...they bled out. Wrath sighed as he rested the bloody broadsword on his shoulder and watched the ocean off the side of the boat. -but wait- he saw a speck off in the distance. It was a boat for sure, but a small one. He squinted his eyes, and saw another mortal in the boat, struggling against the waves. Wrath laughed in joy "More meat!" he shouted to himself as he waited for the human to get closer so he could...play with him.

"Bloody hell, what a stench?" Bart had climbed the various rope ladders, to the corpse littered deck. The crew didn't stand a chance against the onslaught. The bodies were stacked into piles staining the wooden boards scarlet, as the blood began to run off into the ocean. The expressions of fear and desperation seemed to be chiseled onto their faces for eternity. As horrific as this all was Bart had seen worse.

Once the Captain took notice of the hulking beast whose mass was enough to for the floorboards to bend under the stress. "Oi, tubby. For exterminating the soon to be nuisance of a crew I am in your dying gratitude although I must apologize to inform you that I'll be commandeering this ere pretty boat."

He spoke with charisma with a slight flourish to every syllable, and at the last word he pulled one of pistols out from out of his sleeve and aimed it at the brute. The pistol held six shots, and he had another hidden on his person; twelve shots in all before he had to reload. "Now get off my boat."

Wrath laughed a big, demeaning laugh at this mortal and the gun that he was pointing. It looked like a toy compared to Wrath's massive bulk. "No, mortal," he said simply "I was planning on burning this wooden eyesore." He sheathed his sword, he didn't need it to win over this human "I'll try to keep you alive so you can burn with it." With that, Wrath took one bound forward on the boat and swiped with an open hand at the pirate. As he landed, the wooden boards moaned, and some even splintered.

With his off hand Bart drew his cutlass, jumping backwards out of the way of the brute's large hand. The hurricane caused the ship to moan under stress, and if Bart didn't get things under control quickly the ship would likely go to the depths. Seeing a rope tied tightly to one of the rails, he cut it free and used it to swing his way to the brute's flank.

As he flew in a sort of wide semi-circle he fired three shots at the brutes head and torso, hoping one of the bullets hit home. He than let go of the rope putting him in a battle stance facing his opponent's back.

As the bullets hit Wrath in the head and torso, he lost his balance more from the force of the bullets than the pain. He fell to the side after the mortal had landed. When he hit the floor, with a final moan, then floor splintered then gave in, creating a hole in the deck of the ship.

Wrath fell at least ten feet through multiple floors of the boat. Splinters forced their way into his skin and his mortal body began bleeding heavily. When he hit the bottom deck, Wrath lay on the floor for two minutes, regaining his composure. The splinters didn't hurt, the stickiness of the blood they were producing was annoying though. He got up and started getting angry, how could a mere mortal do this to him!? He was sin! He gritted his teeth, drew his broadsword and began looking around for some way to get back up so he could impale that damnable human.

All Wrath was able to see at the bottom of the ship was a bunch of support beams. He smiled, "you're not getting your ship you sonofabitch." he growled as he lifted his sword and destroyed one support beam, then another, then another. The entirety of the ship began the creak and groan with each blow to the support beams, the structure was ready to cave in.

"Bollocks!" The floorboards began to fall apart before him as the brute toppled the pillars below. Bart danced from board to board in order to keep his momentum, until he could finally manage a finessed dive into the mid-section of the ship. The ship was missing some of it's deck and rooms, but it was far from unusable. This meant Bart couldn't quit.

He fell to the ground in a roll, in order to avoid any puncturing from the many wooden splinters around him instead brushing them off with his coat. "Stop that! Stop that right this instant you detestable cretin!"

"Fu** you!" Wrath shouted up at the mortal as he concentrated his power into his hands. His hands bursted into flame and he began picking up bodies and pieces of debris, lighting them afire, then tossing them up at the pirate. "Burn!" He yelled up as he threw these makeshift missiles, attempting to hit his opponent but also trying to light the wood around him on fire.

After throwing three bodies and four large planks of wood, Wrath went right back to slicing apart the support beams around him with his broadsword.

Bart dodged the flaming material as much as he could, but failed to avoid the last burning body that hit right in the side. A black mark covered his arm where he was singed. He dropped his sword the ground, and held his arm with his other hand still clenching his pistol.

"Bollocks", Bart said under his breath as he dashed through the chaos evading the splintering pillars and the brute's wild arms. He gave two good shots, and once again circled towards the creature's flank.

Wrath grumbled and stopped destroying the beams, this mortal was way too agile and slippery...like a lizard. He once again sheathed his broadsword and concentrated.

He kneeled down on one knee and put his hand to the floor of the boat and a black portal appeared where his hand was. The portal expanded slowly throughout the boat until everything was enveloped in darkness. The sounds of the sea faded and the objects around them disappeared in the darkness. The two floated in space.

The silence was soon replaced with the screams in pain of the damned. The air smelled like it would in a swamp and the colors of the black space they were in began to take shape.

The two landed in a puddle of mud, dead bodies, and live bodies of the damned fighting one another. The brown swamp went on for miles without an end in sight.

Wrath landed on the bog, his feet crushing several of the damned that were still alive. "Welcome to my domain," he said to his opponent.

Bart was dazed when he found himself in the swamp. His feet sank into the mud, covering his waist down in dark brown. His wet toes started to become slightly uncomfortable as water filled his boots. He was disgusted by this place.

"Hey! I stole these boots from the king! THE KING!"

He was a bit annoyed, not just for the fact that he was in some strange hellish dimension, but more because he was being inconvenienced He saw the damned fight each other in a never ending war, but stayed at a distance in order to remain unharmed. Not that he could move very much while being stuck in the muck.

Wrath quickly drew his sword and began running toward his opponent, making great strides and crushing a large area of the damned with his massive feet. When he got up to his opponent, he made a heavy, horizontal swing toward him. After the swing, Wrath's feet slid across the slippery bog mud. He made a full spin around, his sword still stretched out in front of him, then his feet flew up in the air and he crashed onto his back. As he fell, he roared in anger and his sword flew up toward the sky.

"Bloody Hell!", Bart searched for anything he could use to get out of the muck as he watched the beast ravage his way to him. At last he found some roots growing from the nearby tree. He slowly strained his way towards the muddy shores, but it was far too late.

The tip of Wrath's sword managed to clip Bart's arm sending him reeling into the swamp water. The pirate laid at the bottom of the thick mud, his wound causing him great pain, but he still managed to hold his breath. Despite not having the use of his right arm, he carefully crawled hidden under the mud. He attempted to distance himself from the brute, so he could take some shots. He had already taken five shots, so that meant he had seven left.

Wrath stood and steadied himself on the slippery mud and looked for his opponent. Somehow the slippery bastard had hid himself. He sheathed his sword and searched in a circle around him, no hiding places. He searched around the nearby tree, he wasn't there. He looked at the mud, the mortal could have dug himself in there.

Wrath readied himself by planting his feet firmly into the mud, crushing multiple damned in the process. He began concentrating.

The mud below him slowly began heating, some bubbles appeared at the surface and the damned right below him began screaming as the mud started to get searing hot underneath him. "This should get him out."

Bart managed to crawl to a nearby island, which hosted a torn tree trunk. As he got out of the now boiling mud, he shot a damned straight between the eyes before getting to safety. When he planted his feet on the ground he noticed that his boots were now steaming, and he was covered in brown mud from head to toe. There was no time to clean himself up however, the Captain took aim.

The pain in his arm was almost overbearing, causing his vision to blur and his pistol to waver. He pulled the trigger three times, three loud bangs making his ears ring. He than fell to his knees, trying to at least recuperate some of his lost strength.
