Undquivocally

She knows the complexities
and embraces this duality

the need for balance
between mind and spirit;

body and soul...

to feel complete
and be in control

to have all inner
inhibitions released
a soul contending

in eternal quest of peace....

She listens to my voice
and hears my plea;

I am not her
she is not me

but still,
she knows me......

She is there

somewhere

yet remains
beyond my gaze
and she too,
has run this race
through this maze

of life.

I’ve shared her pain
along with her fears
her heart in unison beating
I hear

I have been her
and she
has been me…

We have stood wishing upon
the very same star

wanting, and wondering
of places afar

remembering journeys
through the noir of night ,
recalling paths taken

beseeching the light

bringing us
to where we now are

She has fought those battles,
and has healed the same scars

we are individual, yet similar
held in the common bond
of striving, and surviving

we are strong

I am her
and she is me.........

a woman understanding

unequivocally....

I love this poem. Much better then what I can do. You're a splendid writer. I'm really enjoying this poem. Are you published? I can imagine you getting published.

Thank you very much. ~peace~

I've not had my own book published yet, but I've had a few items published in a few different poetry anthologys. I've been doing poetry for a long time, but haven't written anything new in ages ...and then I found role-playing and gained a new outlet for my creative writing ventures. LOL.

Beautiful as always, Mysti! Somehow you always find a way to awaken such feelings within me, no matter what I'm feeling the second before I read your work. If that makes sense...

Anyways... Loved it!

Maybe this would have been more appropriate to have posted this in the ladies lounge, but I thought nah, better to post it here.

And you make perfect sense....and any of the sistahs would understand....;)

This shell, opaque
encompasses my
fragility
while containing
fragments
of all that
is left of me

I feel the suns
rays of golden
trying to warm
the cold edges of

this chilling sigh,

and I can hear
the rush of life

swirling by.

With fists clenched
I hammer away
trying to break free...

my screams
fall into silence,

passers by
cannot hear
my cry of please....

This shell
now hardened
will not easily break
but still;

I scratch and claw
trying to create
a fissure
that would allow
my soul escape

from this cocoon
of emotions
that have bound
themselves
too tightly around me

suffocating
the fantast

I used to be....

Morning skies awaken
in amber hues
where God cradles
the quiet of calm

in his palms

It is then,
when thoughts drift in wish
of finding lost moments

where fingertips touched the dawn

with hands clasped
dreams were shared

{I can't erase the memories held there}

Night arrived too quickly
along with the
ditheistic nature
slowly burning,

turning you into
that sometimes stranger
unknown, yet known.

Blackness entwined
with rays of light
and I tried

to keep you
from slipping
to rise above
but darkness
overpowered

the power
of my love

now only reflections
linger at the edge
of what once was

where my heart lies

ever still.

You bless me with your comments, truly, that made me smile.

Each writer is so special in their own way and I learn each day from every single one of them. Poetry breaths not within me anymore, that is why I am SO glad that I have been introduced to rp'ing. It really helps me to continue writing.

Thank you!!

You remain in the midst of yesterday
clinging to that which gives you peace
at times timid in facing the future
fearing life's sweetest release.

Softly your voice is calling
touching the strings of heart
missing those that you love
but yet never to be apart.

Behind a beautiful smile
lies within so much pain
look closely, see the trace of tears
that have softly fallen like the rain.

I watch you growing every day
gaining strength, ready for flight
You've reached inside of yourself
and you shine from inner light

Do not be afraid
for you too will learn to fly....
we all must live in the cocoon
before we can become
