SCAR: The Rise of Yog-Sothoth


1953 One of Stalin s last official acts before his death, was the creation of a paranormal research division. Occult and spiritual rituals take place.

1954 President Eisenhower and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill sign a pact to create a new joint clandestine group, called JPIA. Division falls under the jurisdiction of the CIA and MI5.

1957 The CIA and MI5 begin seeking out “gifted” individuals and train them as soldiers. These soldiers are used to combat the supernatural threat

1960 Day before a raid on a mobile Soviet research facility, the entire staff and convoy inexplicably disappear.

1962 Paranormal activity declines significantly. Gifted soldiers are used as specialty troops in Laos and Cambodia

1963 Although there is no proof. It is believed by some that a gifted individual played a part in the assassination of President Kennedy. It is the only logical explanation for the magic bullet.

1970 JPIA dissolves. United States forms a new division for their paranormal soldiers and researchers.

1972 Project SCAR commences

1974 SCAR is officially formed, using remnants of JPIA and Soviet defectors.

1979 Three Mile Island disaster

1980 Mt St Helens erupts. Paranormal activity starts to rise again.

1981 Secret clean up of Three Mile Island reactor site. CIA makes this the base of operations for their paranormal division.

1987 More research expeditions take place in Europe, notably the island of Malta and inside of Rome. German tar pits scanned and searched for any angelic bodies or artefacts to be uncovered. Only holy texts are found.

1988 Holy Grail uncovered along with the once lost fortune of the Templar Knights. Many artefacts are uncovered, including the sacred armour and shield of the Holy Crusader. Many of the jewellery and artefacts are found to hold paranormal potential.

1991 Fall of the Soviet Union. Russian Premier Boris Yeltsin signs pact with the US and Britain to combine all information on paranormal research. Russia and Britain officially take part in SCAR.

1995 Tokyo nerve gas attack. Supreme truth cult credited with two subsequent attacks in popular Tokyo transit systems. Spike in paranormal activity in the region. SCAR investigates, finds Supreme Truth cult. Eight members were on the team, only two made it back.

1999 Scar team dispatched to San Diego to investigate Heaven’s gate cult. Seven members were on the team, four made it back.

2007 Spear of Destiny found in mausoleum.

2008 A group of ten SCAR operatives conduct a mission to investigate a government research facility that has gone silent. Only three come back out.

2010 Now


So I guess by now you are asking, what is SCAR? Either that or you have left. If you are still here, SCAR stands for Supernatural Combat Assault and Recon.. The members of the SCAR teams are combat trained, gifted individuals. Now by combat trained I mean that they know how to use weapons and are very good at. A member of a SCAR team is elite. When I say gifted I am referring to supernatural and psychic abilities. Members of SCAR teams usually investigate paranormal activity and are basically monster hunters.

The world the story takes place in is one where the supernatural things from movies and literature are real. The creatures of the night do exist. There is a Bogeyman. Vampires, demons, lycanthropes ,zombies, ghouls, mummies, witches whatever. It exists in this world. Most people don’t believe in such things and rumours of ghosts are usually dismissed as nothing more than urban legend.

So now I wish to take a moment to tell you of the inspiration for this RP. If you haven’t realised it by now I love horror movies and literature. This is a continuation of an RP a friend of mine created, that one was based on FEAR and Resident Evil. This one will be based on something else. Now I actually do have a few ideas for SCAR missions and would have no trouble turning this into a series if people wanted it. For now I am going to focus on the writings of a specific author.

This will be a tribute to the writings of H.P. Lovecraft and the movies they inspired. Chainsaw hand anyone? Now first and foremost I have to say that my writing can tend to be a little over the top. But hey, it’s action horror. Over the top can be good at times. The RP created by my friend was quite successful and I think it can continue in a grand fashion. Now since I mentioned the movies, I should say that I don’t want anyone to borrow any of the lines form the movie, or go out of their way to get a chainsaw hand. I would love it if you could find ways to throw in something comical, but want you to be original. I guess you would consider this a fan fiction style RP. I will borrow things form movies and literature, but I am doing it as a tribute to works I really love.

Disclaimer(statement made to save one’s own ass): This RP is a work of fiction. The SCAR team and world setting was inspired by the Blade Trilogy, Supernatural, and Vampire; the Masquerade, and virtually any other horror fiction you can name. The story for this episode was inspired by The works of H.P. Lovecraft, The Evil Dead Trilogy, John Carpenter’s In The Mouth of Madness. This is meant to be a tribute to these works and I do not own any of the aforementioned properties.

To participate in this RP you need to be able to write descriptively. I can forgive short posts as long as you are descriptive and put effort into them. Punctuation and grammar errors I tend to forgive, since my ability is suspect at times. I want you to post everything your characters experience. Their thoughts, emotions, whatever.

I think that covers about everything. Anything else I have excluded shall be deemed included.

Now for some details. It is the year 2010. The world is one where the paranormal and normal exist along side one another. You were recruited by SCAR one year ago and put into The Program. In The Program you honed your fighting skills and psychic ability for use as a SCAR operative. You have just graduated The Program at the top of the class and have been summoned for a special assignment.. Now it is common knowledge, among recruits and officers, that when a special assignment comes along, it is usually something where the fate of the world hangs in the balance and not all of the operatives survive.

About character abilities. Instead of saying what powers I specifically do not want to see, I will say keep it …well….realistic??? Okay, not the right word, but I don’t really think that believable is the right word either. Just remember to keep your abilities in the supernatural and paranormal realm. Generally if one of the X-Men has the power, it would not fit here. As an example, my character is empathic. She can read and control the emotions of others. Of course the power has a few limitations. Although she can read the emotions of a group, she is only allowed to control one being at a time. Also in the case of more powerful beings, there is a chance she can be consumed by their emotions and may turn on her companions, The few people in the world who have abilities were normally born with them. Some would have manifested early and others may have come later in life, triggered by an event. It is possible that you gained your powers through a supernatural occurrence, though this is extremely rare.

I will also not allow characters to use magic. Any magic in this world is evil and SCAR fights against evil. As for magic there are two kinds. Necromancy and blood magic.

Characters must also be human. Although all the monsters exist, and a very small few work for SCAR, I will not allow characters to play as anything other than human. Things may change down the road, but for now you are human

SCAR divisions:


Division 1: Research and Development. Researches the different anomalies and effects of paranormal and occult activities. Also develops new weapons, gadgets, and armour for the SCAR operatives.


Division 2: Medical and Paranormal Experimentation (MPE) Helps the operatives to recover from all physical wounds, though specialize in paranormal and other worldly ailments. Also experiment with new drugs and methods of inoculation.


Division 3: SCAR Clandestine. SCAR Operatives


Division 4: SCAR Command and Intelligence Center. Highest on the command structure, gather and deliver intelligence from around the globe, and facilitate the actions of all other divisions.


The Program: A high intensity training program where the individuals are subjected to almost cruel training methods. The perspective operatives are pushed to their limits both physically and psychologically. Considering that some of the recruits may already have mental issues because of their power’s effect, this training can sometimes cause psychological damage to the recruit. All recruits in the Program are given a knowledge of previous SCAR missions and enemies that they will encounter.


Security Clearances:


Level 5: Basic Clearance. Paranormal training and basic education are given. Most SCAR records are available for use, as well as fully detailed missions.

Level 4: Operative Status. Finished training, fully initiated into SCAR. At this level custom made and personal equipment are given. Given access to once secret records, most notably the original Mayan ritual texts, and accounts of all paranormal creatures.

Level 3: Leadership Status. Officer training and basic tactics training given. Access to full medical, drugs, and experimental weapons. Given access to all of the SCAR records, though no access is given to Section Three of the records. Access to fully detailed accounts of every mission, but not always given the location or purpose.

Level 2: Intelligence status. Given access to Section three records, and trained in all possible ancient languages and glyphs. Given access to SCAR's mainframe and every known base in the world. High priority.

Level 1: Barely ever spoken of. Only the highest priority individuals are ever given this security clearance.

Monster Manual.: Basically, the major things SCAR fights against, and how to kill them. Please note that just because it appears in the manual, it doesn’t mean you will encounter it on this mission. This is information any SCAR member would have.

Vampires: (Worldwide) Vampires can be killed by sunlight, silver, UV light, fire and beheading. A wooden stake through the heart will only paralyze a vampire. Garlic will overwhelm a vampire’s senses temporarily. And in the words of Whistler, “Crosses don’t do shit.”

Werewolves (Worldwide) Werewolves are usually not found in big cities, preferring to keep to more wooded areas. Werewolves change form during the cycle of the full moon, though older werewolves can change at will. As well, the werewolf retains memories during the transformation.

The werewolf is affected only by weapons of silver. The only way to kill a werewolf in wolf form is to behead it. Even though silver weapons will harm it, they will only slow down the werewolf. One SCAR operative was quoted as saying, “It’s like a supernatural Mack truck.” It is highly recommended that teams of less than four operatives do not attempt to engage a single werewolf.

Demons: (Worldwide) Demons tend to exist more in large cities. Demon’s try to stay hidden and manipulate the world to their own agenda. Demons will possess a body and control it. The only way to tell, for sure that a demon is possessing someone is if their eyes turn black. This will only happen if the demon chooses it to.(note: the effect of eyes turning black has also been noted as a side effect for gifted individuals.)

As of yet there is no known way to kill a demon. The body of the host can only be killed using sanctified weapons, in which case the demon will leave the body, appearing as a cloud of black smoke. No living SCAR operative has ever seen a demon in it’s true form.

Ghosts (Worldwide) Ghosts are basically the spirits of the dead. Ghosts come in all shapes and sizes. Not all spirits are evil. The manner of the ghost is usually determined by the circumstances of how the person died and became a ghost.

Evil spirits, when attacking, will generally stay invisible and dissolve into a person, tearing apart their soul. Other spirits such as the poltergeist, can interact with their environment.

Only certain gifted individuals have the ability to see a ghost, though scientific means are available for detection.

Ghosts can be killed with silver.

Shadows: (Worldwide - limited to places experiencing paranormal activity) These things are only described as dark moving masses that can kill you easily. They have no average figure as the shadows differ between who's shadow it is. They normally travel in pairs and are very likely to be angered massively if you kill it's other half. With lighting reflexes they'll dodge most things thrown at them.

Shadows can only be killed through the use of electromagnetic energy. Though it is unsure if this actually kills them, or just disperses them.

Zombies (Rare) If there is a zombie in the area, it is a good bet that there is a necromancer close by. Zombies are essentially, the animated dead, and are often used by necromancers. The only way to kill a zombie, short of killing the necromancer which created it, is to sever the top of the spinal column or massive trauma to the brain. As one SCAR operative put it, “Shoot them in the head.”

There have been reports of viral infections causing people to be turned into zombies.

Lickers: (Encountered on last major SCAR mission) They have large grotesque figures. With no skin, their massive muscles and tendons are really quite visible. Their brains are visible and cover the eyes. Their mouths are filled with razor sharp teeth and a long tongue protrudes from it . Their feet and hands end in long sharp claws and they walk on all fours. The creatures are able to climb walls and use them to get an edge on their enemies.

Can be killed by conventional weapons. Should be noted that lickers are extremely fast.

Necromancers (Worldwide -Exercise extreme caution) Necromancers are human mages with control over the dead. Their use of magic makes them extremely difficult opponents. Some necromancers are rumoured to have lived for centuries through their use of blood magic.

The Unnameable: (Never encountered) The unnameable are related to the necronomicon. Supposedly the spawn of Cthulu, the unnameable have never been seen by anyone alive on the planet. It is suspected that one of Cthulu’s spawn would appear as a grotesque, disfigured, human with tentacles.

The Armour: The pictures in the links are just a guideline. The armour may be customized any way you see fit, within reason.


Heavy Armour: Generally as the armour is named, it is heavy! It's able to take mass amounts of shots, but is rather bulky over the wearer minimizing the ability to duck and weave. All the armours are different in small ways, with soldiers adding markings of their own to the armour. Such as bands upon the shoulders, insignia's on the breast-plate and even their own names.

The helmet is the ultimate in protection tech for the cranial area, especially against paranormal threats. Wearing this armour you can feel safe, just don't get hit too many times.

Light Armour:

Generally as the armour is named, it is light! It's not really durable against shots, but it makes up for this with being able to give the wearer manoeuvrability. All armour’s are different, the same as Heavy armour, the wearer changes the armour’s look to match their personality.

Ability: Empathic(Claire can read the emotions of others and sense emotional echoes left behind in places and objects. She can use her ability to control emotions as well. Claire is only able to Control the emotions of one being at a time. She can read emotions from multiple beings at one time and in combat, she can use these emotions to anticipate attacks. If she is not careful strong emotions, or those emanating from more powerful beings, can cause her to behave erratically)

Skills: Field medicine, martial arts weaponry, archery. Extremely agile.

Armour: Light(no helmet) Claire’s armour is jet black and made from an experimental polymer. The chest has been reinforced with a light Kevlar material. On her right arm are eight red lines which are jagged and resemble scars. The lines start at her shoulder and run down her arm each about an inch apart.

Weapons: Two katanas with 26” silver blades in sheaths on her back. Two silver sais sheathed on her belt. Hanging from her belt, on her left side, is a collapsible bow. Pressing a button on the side extends it to it’s full size or retracts it, as is needed. The arrows are in a quiver on her back over top of the sheaths. There are twenty-one arrows modified as follows. Seven with EM heads(an explosion of electro-magnetic energy on impact) Seven with UV heads(explodes in a burst of ultraviolet light) Seven with explosive heads (Explosive force of a hand grenade.

Miscellaneous items: Claire carries medical supplies in a small pack. Included are, scalpel, penlight, gauze bandages, 2 syringes, two vials of adrenaline, two vials, of morphine, two vials of penicillin, needle, surgical thread. She also has a barrette in her pocket.

Personality: Will be explained in bio.

Bio: Claire and her brother, Andrew were raised by their parents who were SCAR scientists, and were also gifted. Her mother was Mexican while her father was American. Though her brother developed powers at an early age, Claire showed no signs of being anything more than ordinary. Because of her parents involvement with SCAR, Claire spent most of her younger years at Three Mile Island, and received a large portion of her schooling there. Claire showed an aptitude for medicine, and started to work toward becoming a doctor. When Claire was seventeen, her parents and brother were sent on a mission for SCAR. Her parents were killed in action and Andrew disappeared. Claire moved into SCAR and spent all her time in the lab to hide form her grief. When she was eighteen, Claire’s power manifested itself. Claire went to see a friend who had just lost both her parents. The feeling of sorrow and loss, washed over Claire and her ability manifested. Claire left the friend’s house and went back to SCAR, still feeling the sorrow of her friend. She went into the kitchen, to get a knife, and started to slash her wrists. Fortunately one of the cooks was on duty at the time, so Claire’s life was saved.

She began to train in martial arts weaponry, devoting all her free time to training and meditation, tools which she used to control her psychic ability. Claire considered the ability to be a curse. Because of it, she could not live a normal life and allow herself to have feelings. Although she was well trained at combat and a skilled medic, she was not sent on missions because of the possibility of her ability overtaking her. At twenty-seven, thinking her brother was long since dead, Claire left SCAR and went into seclusion.

When Claire was twenty-nine, SCAR agents found her and asked her to go on a mission for them. Claire agreed, it was hard for her to say no to the people who had been like a family to her. The mission was to discover what had happened to a Division Two facility in the New Mexico desert that had gone silent. A previous team was sent to investigate and only one member returned. The events at the facility were life changing for Claire. When she arrived at headquarters she discovered that her brother was still alive and leading the mission. Claire was the only survivor of this mission, though not the only member of the team to leave the facility.

In the facility Claire faced her darkest nightmares, and found an experimental drug that allowed her to gain some control over her power and allow her to truly experience her own emotions, after having not being able to feel for so long. Claire had to face emotions, she hadn’t felt for years, as if it was the first time. Although it is a year later Claire still has a hard time dealing with her own emotions, as such, the emotions of others, can overwhelm her at times. Claire is a caring individual, and often times her feelings for others can cause her to lose control.



I would like to note that Fancois Lachon(the original creator of SCAR), will be reprising his role as Claire’s brother Andrew. A spot is also reserved for Stream, who will be co-running this with me(Stream played in the original SCAR, but will not be reprising his character) Some characters may die in this RP, if your character is killed you may make a new one depending on how far into the story we are. I would also like to mention that if this is successful, there will be more missions down the road. To that end, some of the characters will be chosen for something. These characters will not know who they are, though the player controlling them will.

Characters:

Stream: Deceased. Shot after being possessd by a demon. Name: Daniel Crandall

Age: 29

Note: Daniel is Claire's superior, sent from Harrisburg to oversee her mission and gather data. He has a level 2 security clearance, and access to all of your files.

Ability: Able to convert to a poltergeist form, allowing quick transportation, transparency, and the ability to move through solid objects. While in this state, he is not able to make physical contact with most things, though can do simple things, such as press buttons. While in this state, radios turn to white noise, and most electrical equipment malfunctions. SCAR equipment is immune to such EMP.

Skills: Historical intelligence, great memory, parkour, artifacts, ancient languages.

Armour: Wears a variation of the stealth armor. It is a tight rubber body suit with a gray rain coat covering it. Able to reflect a minor amount of kinetic energy.

Weapons:

- Two light, balanced throwing knives that are only used in melee combat.

- Two .45 M1911 Pistols made from a prototype alloy, light enough for them to deteriorate in poltergeist form. Trained to handle most handguns and is decent with a rifle.

Miscellaneous Items: Small holographic tapes and a recorder/camera used to collect data. A GPS/PDA device used to keep in contact with SCAR.

Personality: Not a hero by any means. Never likes to put himself in danger, and would rather run than make a last stand. Pretentious to his peers, correcting them on what they do wrong and berating them for stupid decisions. Though his remarks are meant as sarcasm, most people don't share his sense of humor. Morals are not something he holds in high regard. Honesty and respect, however, are very important to him.

Bio: Daniel was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. At this time he began to experiment with and abuse his power, mostly by stealing small things without being seen. At the age of ten moved to Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, on the outskirts on Philadelphia.

Stayed home schooled his entire life and never had much social contact. Did, however, attend a local private school to complete the final years of High School. His final years at this school began to instill the sense of honesty and respect he has today.

Developed the love for books he has today from his time spent with his bibliophile father, the Professor of Linguistics at West Chester University. His hunger for words is nearly insatiable, something that would come in handy during his later years at SCAR Command & Intelligence.

Attended the University of Maryland while working as an intern at the CIA offices in Langley, VA. Though he was shooting to become a director of intelligence communications, his initial physical and health exams showed something much more. Visited the Capitol many times, sparking a huge interest in ancient history and conspiracy theories.

Once his powers were discovered, he was whisked away to SCAR HQ to train as an operative and Intelligence officer. Only having ran a minimal amount of missions and seeing barely any combat, his readings of the SCAR records and intelligence database have made him an expert on the artifacts and things teams encounter in the field.

Worked in the Harrisburg, PA HQ for the first 5 years of his time at SCAR, and for the past 3 years he has been running archaeological and intelligence missions all over Europe and in North Africa. Helped set up a communications post between the Rome outpost and Harrisburg HQ.

Currently called to oversee a relatively new team leader's work in the field, and record the data and anything else they find while working.

Has an irrational fear of water and spiders. Intense sleep problems.

ShadowStrike: Deceased(killed by werewolves) Name: Seamus O'Connor.

Age: 27

Height: 6'7.

Weight: 194 Lbs.

Description: Dark redish brown hair, slight beard. Brown eyes. Handsome to most. Normal face, though slightly larger nose. Eyes are within normal size and length from each other

Ability: Quick reflexes. As in, his perception of time can slow, while he moves at normal speed. Can only be used in combat, as its triggered by mass amounts of adrenaline. Drawback: After use, he is paralyzed for three minutes. Body is limp, not frozen in place. Fully conscience at time. After being paralyzed, body is quite limber, too much, awkward walking, in ability to handle melee weapons. Lasts about two more minutes.

Skills: Rifle Handling, art of the fist, small knife etiquette.

Armour: Heavy Armour, painted on clovers all over it. On the back it reads "Don't mess with an Irishmen."

Weapons: Mossberg Shotgun, modified electrical shells, 44. Magnum, modified silver rounds, four Molotov Cocktails, for those pesky vampires. Small, razor sharp bowie knife.

Miscellaneous Items: Five Cigarettes, bottle of Whiskey. 40 clips of rifle ammo, walkie-talkie, GPS unit. Shoulder-mounted flashlight.

Personality: Seamus is mostly rude to people, rude as in insensitive, not mean. This by all means doesn't mean he doesn't care. If his teammates are in trouble, he'll go out of his way to help. He is often a womanizer, to others in his team, and outside of it. Times he can be very angry, for appealingly no reason. Protective of himself and friends, angered when he or friends are disrespected, talk lowly of, or insulted.

Bio: Seamus was raised outside of Dublin, Ireland. His family was well enough off, but still struggled at times. His father, a mill worker, was often friendly and caring, even in bad times. School life was hard on him, as bullies would often target him. He came home crying most days.

While one particularly large bullies was antagonizing him, he blacked-out. He he awoke, the bullies was lying on the ground, bleeding out his nose and mouth. His first experience with his hyper reflex. Then on, most left his alone, as they were quite scared.

Later, during his teens, he became a boxer. using his hyper reflex helped him win almost every match. His moniker was "The blood-red Shamrock." He was discovered by a retired SCAR member during his championship match.

He had been made the offer to join. He thought it over, and joined happily. He would fight creatures that could actually take punches. He was trained in close combat. Combat with his fists and knives were his favorite, with Shotguns close behind.

He is now stationed with his current squad, his favorite by far. Well trained soldiers, most of them with great education, overpowering his own. He was in no means dumb, but these people were smarter. He just hoped they could handle themselves in a fight, he can't save everyone's ass.

StormWolf: Name: Malcolm Maverick; Mal
Age: 28
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 210 lbs of muscle
Description: Malcolm

Note: When a light is shone on Malcolm, one will see his shadow with massive feathered wings.

Ability: Purgery: Mal uses his experience from his time in the clergy to use the power of God to purge someone of their evil. This rips it from someone and turns their sins against them, driving them completely and utterly mad. Mal must be in physical contact with the individual(s). He can Purge two people at max, and that will leave him with a headache, a nosebleed, and temporarily impared vision. Purgery can be used to Exorcise demons. The stronger the demon, the bigger the strain on Mal. Likewise, his Ability makes him immune to demonic possession. When he uses his Ability, his eyes roll up in his head and they emit a dim glow.
Skills: Trained in the United States Marine Chaplan Corps. His stellar performance in Basic Training earned him several special dockets in which he joined Special Forces training and Navy SEAL demolitions and recon school. This leaves him superbly schooled in almost all forms of infantry weaponry and specialty explosives.

Armour: Heavy; no helmet but he wears a black soldier beret with a templar cross badge on the front. One the right shoulder plate of his armor, he has a white hand print painted on to resemble where he was touched by an angel. His knee guards have crosses painted on them. On the armored plate covering the back of his hand "Repent" is stamped on in white paint.

Weapons:
- M4 short barrel carbine with an enhanced capacity 60 round mag housing .223 calibur bullets. The M4 has a barrel mounted grenade launcher with infared laser sight and UV combat light. ACOG scope replaces the traditional iron sights. The stock has recoil dampers to reduce recoil and increase accuracy. Also has a silencer barrel to for more covert operations. He carries two sets of magazines with him; traditional rounds and silver rounds.

Personality: Not the most social man in the world, still being used to the Clergy or working silently on recon-infiltration missions. Very religeous, if you wish to keep your physical and mental state as it is, do not blaspheme more than three times in his presence. Most times he will seem solemn, subdued, and withdrawn. He has literally been to Hell and back. He spent three weeks as a dead man, that is roughtly thirteen years in Hell. He doesn't really believe anymore, he knows. There is a God and there is a Devil.

Bio: Malcolm served three tours in Iraq, coming back healthy and hearty two of those times. He reached the rank on Gunnery Sergeant over the course of his career in the War on Terror, earning the Medal of Honor, the Marine Corps Medal, the Presidentail Medal of Valor, the purple heart three times and the silver star two times.

On his third tour, Malcolm and his unit were ambushed during a night raid in a small town near Baghdad. Mal sustained multible gun wounds to his torso, several of his major organs were desistated beyond repair. In his last moments of life, Malcolm prayed for deliverence and salvation. He passed through the Veil with his crucifix in hand.

Gunnery Sergeant Malcolm Jefferson Maverick was declared legally dead and had an autopsy performed to remove the bullets from his corpse. Three weeks passed before he jolted awake in his coffin. Busting out, he looked about him, panicked, feverishly looking for any kind of enemy. The medics and surgeons didn't know what to say. They signed him off as dead and he was dead for three weeks. Someone simply doesn't come back. It is impossible, plain and simple. When the surgeon general looked Mal over, he had none of his past scars or wounds, not even the stitching from the Y-incision made during the autopsy. The only mark he had upon his body was a pink burn scar of a hand print on his right shoulder. That scar was never there before. One of the tests involved scanning Mal in various light spectrums. The more intense the frequency, the more strange the Sergeants case became. In the highest frequency, the scar on his shoulder glowed blinding white and he seemed to have translucent, ghostly wings of an angel.

X-rays showed that Malcolm's bones were engraved in a laguage never even documented, but engraved on his sternum was a crusaider cross woven within a pentagram. Finally beind released form study after the surgeon general declared Malcolm's status a miracle, the Sergeant volunteered to be put back in active duty as a Chaplain. Before he could start his next tour, SCAR picked him up. They told him that an angel pulled him from Hell, putting him back on the world of the living for a reason. Malcolm did not doubt what the SCAR representatives said, and signed up to serve in a different kind of war.

Personality: Ethan is an overall angry person, who also doesn't verbally fight very well. He's smart, but not as smart as others. His temper is easily lost.

Bio: Ethan was born in an extremely small town called Grapeview, in Washington state. His father worked at the nearby government base, and his mother was a waitress at a diner in the closest city.

The doctors claimed he could never see, because he was born with an unknown problem. He spent the first seventeen years of his life being "The Blind Kid", until some jerk got too into picking on "The Blind Kid."

Ethan verbally attacked him, and the bully replied with a punch. But Ethan could suddenly sense the fist coming his way, and he dodges with quick retaliation. Ever since then, his "eyesight" has enhances greatly.

He started to see ghostly things that no one else could, and started to turn to the local police. The situation became known by SCAR, and they instantly went to his location.

Finally being useful, Ethan joined without questions, having no idea what he had gotten himself into.
Francois Lachon: Name: Andrew Hannon

Description: Deep dark brown eyes, smooth chin with absolutely not even a breath of a beard upon it, black hair that runs down to his shoulders-almost seems slick and oily.

Ability: Andrew used to have the ability to almost slow time down to a crawl, but due to acts within the Facility and things that have happened this has been dampened beyond recognition. He cannot grasp his ability of slowing time as well as he could, although this has been quite well balanced with an adept eyesight for short periods of time.

Skills: Very adept with weapons of all kinds, ready to make snap decisions at all times, tends to know how to think around most situations.

Miscellaneous Items: A few random tidbits from his past, including a letter from his parents, two rolled up bandages, pencil and paper.
Personality: Explained in Bio.

Bio: Andrew had a harsh life as a child, realising what he had for his powers he was quite quickly up and moved to a different life. He went from being a normal child like he'd hoped to becoming a trained killer, he spent most of his younger life training and preparing. During his first combat tests it was determined that he would be good at his job when he grew up, this was proven as well.

At the age of 22, he was sent out on a dangerous mission to guard a certain convoy moving over a high threat paranormal route. Of course, a threat came down and managed to take out the entire convoy, also demolishing most of the guards that were there. Andrew was one of the lucky two survivors, who managed to take down the threat that managed to take out the shipment.

Unfortunately, the other person convinced Andrew to stay out of SCAR's hair for a while, instead opting to go off on his own. For years he continued trekking across America as a free man, until many years later he was contacted by SCAR unexpectedly. Unfortunately, they wanted him back for a special assignment. Of course, knowing that they'd found him, he couldn't find a way to refuse them.

He was glad he went back though, as he got reunited with his sister; but all this came crashing down not long after. The place that they had to clear took it's toll upon everyone over time, eventually killing everyone in the group; including Andrew. Fortunately, his spirit managed to live on past this terrible incident, Scientists at SCAR were guessing it was because he had a bond to his Sister.

Either way, however his spirit survived, the brains at SCAR figured out a way to bond his soul to a synthetic body. Although, this came at a terrible price, as his soul was bonded to the body; it turned out that it became heavily imprinted upon it. This means that if Andrew's current body is destroyed, he would be dead for good this time, as his Soul relies on the body now.

This would be hard though, as the Scientists know that they wanted to keep Andrew alive as he was an important asset. His skin is tougher than normal all over his body, but covering important areas such as his heart, lungs and brain are covered with extremely tough polymer. It's tougher than normal skin, but not tough enough to hold against most things that SCAR go up against.

Andrew's ready to fight to the death for this mission, he's already given his body for SCAR's sake... He's prepared to do it again this time. The Facility where Andrew 'died' took a massive toll upon Andrew's mind and wellbeing. Now he looks upon everything with a dark cover, it's as though the world almost deserves everything that happens to them in his eyes now...

Personality: One of those people that loves to be on the wrong side of people, but also one of the ones you would want on your side any day because of his dog like loyalty and determination. He looks sad and is a natural cynic.
Bio:A Werewolf pack decimated my home town, and the local riff-raff and leftovers decided to form a militia to hunt them down. An old Hunter lead the hunt and the pack was found. Unforutantely some of the group were trigger happy and started shooting. The mob was slaughtered, and I was hanging on by a thin tread because the old Hunter attempted resessitation even as he died. I was blacking out as SCAR teams rushed threw.

I woke up in a cryotank with tubes attached to me to keep me alive. Someone in a whitecoat asked me "Do you want to live no matter what?
Do you want to repay the life that saved you?" He nooded his head; because, only an idiot would try to speak in a liquid, and he did not have the strength to do so anyway.

Govannon: Name: Patrick Gad

Description: Short, messy brown hair and bright green eyes. Patrick is skinnier than most military personnel, more lithe then stocky. He also has a small scar on his chin, a relic from a fight in his childhood.

Ability: Understanding: Patrick is able to look at extrapolate from information he already has. This can range from the mundane processes of where the best possible position would be to shoot from, to how creatures will react under pressure. This process takes so much mental power that all other processes, besides basic life support functions, are shut down for the duration. Simple tasks may take only minutes, whereas more complex assignments could take days to perform. The more information Patrick has to use, the easier the task becomes.

Skills: Plays a sniper/reconnaissance roll in most of the operation he takes part in. If you don't mind waiting until the battle has actually started, he can be an excellent tactician.
Armour: Light armour with a specially modified helmet. Advanced audio and optics have been put in, allowing Patrick to see and hear in more detail from a distance.

Personality: Patrick has the personality of a much younger man. To the average person he tends to come off as quite intelligent, always knowing exactly what to say to get the response he wants. He has, however, promised not to use his ability on any of his team members, allowing them so see his true trickster personality. Laughing and joking, Patrick never really seems to take anything too seriously. How much of this personality is real and how much is a shield is not known even to Patrick himself.

Bio: Throughout the entire beginning of his life, Patrick was thought of as an idiot. His powers were still forming, still getting stronger, and as a result required much longer to process any piece of information. Things like simple math problems or difficult choices in conversation simply shut Patrick down. He struggled through school, unsure of his place, pulling in pathetic grades and generally being a social outcast. Eventually, he joined the army at 18 and that was where he came into his own. Patrick's powers suddenly bloomed, he knew what to say, how to act, where to move and where to shoot. He quickly became one of the most popular men on base, but nobody in power really took notice of him. That was changed when Patrick became the only survivor of a building collapse. The only other member of the squad that survived the initial crash spoke of Patrick dancing through the falling debris, not being hit by any of it. The military brass thought that it was just the raving of a dying man, but SCAR thought differently.

They brought Patrick in for questioning and learned about his abilities and recruited him before he had even left the base. He wasn't to be assigned to active duty, they had a better use for him. A Question. A Question that, for whatever reason, SCAR needed answered. Patrick listened, he thought and, ten years later, he woke up. And he had an answer. SCAR seemed happy with what the answer was, thanked Patrick for his time, and reassigned him to active duty.

Patrick bore no grudge, the pay was more than enough for 10 years, and he had known the risks before hand. SCAR had even taken pretty decent care of his body while he was asleep. Now, he's about to go out on his first mission after 10 long years. And he's looking forward to it.

Ability: His power lets him change anythings temperature. It can go to extremes like freezing or burning. His skin becomes more flushed (Red) when he's raising the temperature and paler (almost white) when he lowers the temperature. The drawbacks are that when he uses his power on an object his body feels some of the effect (So when he freezes something his body also becomes colder.) and when he uses the power on something bigger more of his body feels the effect (If it's a small object about the size of his hand then his hand starts getting colder/ warmer and once the object becomes bigger than him then the effect on his body is intensified, up until he feels the exact same thing.) He's also prone to outbursts of energy if he doesn't use his power for a while.

Skills: Skilled in Capoeira and Tae-kwon-do, Adept with pistols and some bladed weapons,

Armour: All black Light armor - No helmet, has a red spade painted on the right shoulder, the back, and on the back of his gloves,

Weapons: Two Beretta M-9's one with a UV light attached to the bottom and the other is modified to shoot out water as well as bullets (He either freezes the water as it comes out so it becomes a fast moving projectile or he uses it to help him freeze a target easier), Silver blades in the soles of his boots that are activated when his leg muscles flare up in a certain way (kicking), two Napalm grenades and two water “grenades”.

Personality: Solitary, doesn't like to get close to people, barely shows emotion.

Bio: Claude was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, his parents were considered middle class and he lived a good life during his childhood years. During the third year of high school, Claude was walking around the mall with his friends when he began to feel a feel intense pain all over his body, his arms began getting colder while his legs began to feel as if they were on fire. After a few seconds he passed out.

When he woke up he was in a jail cell with officers looking over him. They interrogated him for days, trying to find out how he did that to all those people. They told him that most of the people surrounding him had either burn wounds or an intense level of frostbite, some of them even had to get parts amputated and he was the only one that was relatively unscathed.

Claude continued to tell them that he didn't do any of it until the trial day eventually came. He was accused guilty and was put into jail for a sentence of ten years.

After serving a few after the first day of his sentence Claude had another outburst of energy. The guards then moved him into solitary confinement while they tried to figure out what to do with him. The next he was visited by some members of SCAR. They told him that they would get him out of jail if he would join them. They explained to him that they were an organization that helped people like him control their powers and use them for good.
Claude agreed and they quickly shipped him off for training. Once there he was given small guns and martial arts training as well as trying to help him control his powers. He was just recently promoted to Clearance level four and is ready for any mission.

Personality: Obnoxious at times, tough outside, but friendly to those close. Loyal to superiors, but only by the "salute the badge, not the face" principle.

Bio: Kristy grew up in Oregon with her mother, her father had filed a divorce before she was born. She grew up not seeing her mother-due to her working to support the family-much and being the youngest in her family, her two older brothers were computer whizzes. Earning full ride scholarships to Yale, Kristy wasn't as gifted as her two brothers, but she did alright in school. In high school she began to run track and was on her way to winning a scholarship to Oregon State running the 800 meter and 100 meter, but luck was not on her side. Three days before her final race she caught a sickness that put her in a hospital for a month. She also began to develop an odd ability to move things through a lot of focus, but she tried to not use the ability after she almost killed herself using it. She tried to lift herself from her hospital bed, but the stress from so much concentration made her comatose for several weeks.

With her future in ruins she took what money she had and enlisted with the Marines; Kristy kept her ability a secret throughout her training to avoid being dropped from the program or put in some lab for studies, and to avoid killing herself. When Kristy was in training she shot below average with a rifle, but she made up for that with her level of fitness and her almost natural ability to fly helicopters and vehicles. She passed those tests with top scores of her class. With that she was almost immediately shipped off for a tour in Iraq. When Kristy got back she choose to serve in Afghanistan a few months later. When she returned from this tour she was left a little more shaken, she had witnessed more than a few deaths of her fellow soldiers. She requested to be put on active reserve. The request was granted and she was stationed in Massachusetts.

Better image of his clothes. Lyrico doesn't exactly look military grade. He ends seeming to look more like a teenager or a child. He tends to like create doodles under his eyes, his favorite design is the line with the dots. It seems so teenager if you really think about it. Only teenagers put eyeliner down their cheeks and wear the clothes he wears. He tends to wear flexible leather pants and sweaters for he complains about it being cold even in the summer months. He complains a lot about temperature.
He has pale skin and odd blue eyes. They aren't hazel because it seems like the splash of green doesn't mix at all with the blue. It tends to be green around the pupil and bright blue as the rest. You could simply say he has blue eyes. Like the pictures his hair is black and medium length. He seems youthful for his age. And he tends to wear combat boots. His usual wardrobe consist of neutral colors blacks, whites, browns, and grays.
The pictures I'm using for the description are like normal pictures. So in a sense, all I did was add color to the image of what he looks like.

Ability: EPG- Emotion Psychic Guardian. The ability to have his emotion force harm on his enemies. Usually with invisible psychic like hands that rip whatever body part he chooses. They are naturally much stronger then human strength by 5 times. And the stronger his emotions are the strength rises by one. The downside to this ability, is that him himself doesn't have any physical strength. All his strength comes from his mental and emotional stability. And even then his power will falter if his mental and emotional states aren't stable.

Skills: Because he hasn't much life experience he can't become a karate master and he actually doesn't know much about computers. His biggest skill is his intuition. He seems more able to sense that something will go wrong or if there is something dangerous about to happen. He even has a better understanding of psychic residue left over by psychic soldiers.
It all has to do with him having to control his emotions. In that sense he has he has to feel when he's getting out of control. He can bring this knowledge to almost anything.

Armour: Light: Just sorta likes wearing bullet proof vest and stuff. He says to much gets him hot.

Weapons: Flamethrower Shotgun- A shotgun with a flamethrower bottom. It can shoot burst explosions of flames from it's flamethrower side. As well as empty explosive rounds for those quick get out of their situations. It's modified to fit his rather peculiar situation. Image of Shotgun Flamethrower

Pistol- There comes in a time when you need a quicker weapon with less heavy duty power. That's where the pistol comes in. It usually just chucks out silver bullets. But he also has some modified energy absorbing bullets. Basically a psychic has to draw out power to perform a psychic ability. The bullets stop this from happening. They act as a cushion enabling uncontrolled burst. This makes them susceptible to the other group attacks.

Miscellaneous Items: Lighter, he has some fantasies of burning and the smell of fire. He likes keeping a lighter in his pockets, just to smell it and sometimes to fantasize about the flames licking and burning a building or even a person.

Personality: He has turn himself off. Mute, no emotions. He tends to rather be callous and cold hearted. But that's because he has been taught that to control his powers he has to shut off his mind or he'll lose it.
Despite it, you'd think a 25 year old be well more mature. And in the end he ends up being a little less then mature. He's rebellious and doesn't like to be given orders. Though being SARC has allowed him to mature a little more. When he does have the capabilities of showing his emotions it as watching someone go through a rainbow of emotions in 7 seconds flat. He has to think long and hard to control everything or everything just ends up getting out of control. To out of control.

Bio: Lyrico has regressed a lot of his past. He knows he had grown into a nice and quiet home. Good family. And he knows he had abilities even then when he was young. It never seemed that hard when he was a kid. Since the innocence of a child was that he didn't want to harm anyone. It began to get harder in middle school, since by then you have a sense of individualism and more personal worth. By the end of middle school and high school it got worse. The anger and every other emotion just sort of got out of hand. Every student who had ever caused him any harm turned into just a bloody pool of bits and pieces. Instead of confessing to it, he was the kid who was caught with his hand in the cookie drawer. They labeled in his freshman years mentally unstable. And he was locked away for quite some time. From about 15 to about 22. From there it only seemed to get harder. It wasn't like the medicine they forced down his throat stopped him from feeling anything. And it turned out to be more of a hassle. He guess this place SCAR found out about his abilities. And they began to help lead somewhat of a normal and better future. At first it seemed hard, but after a while like all things it became easier.
He still needs some work, but he's better now. And seems to live somewhat comfortably. He'll probably never contact his past again. Assuming that they probably wouldn't want to see him again after all that he had done.

Ability: Can “See” what is coming in his direction by sensing the things presence, which creates a makes a picture in his mind that shows the shape of what it is. He cannot tell exactly who it is, but the images, after a while, become clearer and can tell some small details.

The problem though, is that he cannot control this, and happens with everyone. This can cause his mind to black out if too many people approach him from the same direction. When his mind is sorting out the details he becomes very vulnerable, as his mind focuses on just that, and not much in thinking about his safety.

Skills: Very good intelligence of Nature. Can pick out what is seen before him efficiently and quickly.

Armor: Heavy armor with red DNA like shapes strewn across it. No helmet.

Weapons: Semi – Automatic M4 Carbine with 2X removable scope. It is modified to add liquid silver to the bullet if added via container.

Miscellaneous: Multiple clips of ammunition, Holy Cross hidden in his boot. Small flashlight with high power.

Personality: Yakim is not at all serious, often using humor in situations. A small grin is always on his face, as if happy with everything he sees. He is also very religious, and prays every so often.

Bio: Yakim came from a moderate family in Poland, always having free time to himself as a child. He loved to play sports with others, but at the age of eleven he noticed that he always fainted during large team sports. This seemed just a problem with maybe being tired from all the running he did, but his family kept watching and noticed this happening outside of sports and other activities.

After taking multiple tests, he was considered a “freak”. His parents did not want him and an operative from the SCAR agency took him in. There he trained most of his life, being tested on what he could do.

More than once has he skipped training to experience beyond the Walls of SCAR’S European agency. He enjoys being outside, feeling fresh air blow against him and the green look of the plants and trees.

He constantly dwells back to his childhood, wishing he could be a normal boy in Poland. This does not stop him from making the best of things though, and he loves to find ways to make others feel better.

While in this state, he is not able to make physical contact with most things, though can do simple things, such as press buttons. While in this state, radios turn to white noise, and most electrical equipment malfunctions. SCAR equipment is immune to such EMP.

Armour: Wears a variation of the stealth armor. It is a tight rubber body suit with a gray rain coat covering it. Able to reflect a minor amount of kinetic energy.

- Two light, balanced throwing knives that are only used in melee combat.

- Two .45 M1911 Pistols made from a prototype alloy, light enough for them to deteriorate in poltergeist form. Trained to handle most handguns and is decent with a rifle.

Miscellaneous Items: Small holographic tapes and a recorder/camera used to collect data. A GPS/PDA device used to keep in contact with SCAR.

Personality: Not a hero by any means. Never likes to put himself in danger, and would rather run than make a last stand. Pretentious to his peers, correcting them on what they do wrong and berating them for stupid decisions. Though his remarks are meant as sarcasm, most people don't share his sense of humor. Morals are not something he holds in high regard. Honesty and respect, however, are very important to him.

Bio: Daniel was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. At this time he began to experiment with and abuse his power, mostly by stealing small things without being seen. At the age of ten moved to Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, on the outskirts on Philadelphia.

Stayed home schooled his entire life and never had much social contact. Did, however, attend a local private school to complete the final years of High School. His final years at this school began to instill the sense of honesty and respect he has today.

Developed the love for books he has today from his time spent with his bibliophile father, the Professor of Linguistics at West Chester University. His hunger for words is nearly insatiable, something that would come in handy during his later years at SCAR Command & Intelligence.

Attended the University of Maryland while working as an intern at the CIA offices in Langley, VA. Though he was shooting to become a director of intelligence communications, his initial physical and health exams showed something much more. Visited the Capitol many times, sparking a huge interest in ancient history and conspiracy theories.

Once his powers were discovered, he was whisked away to SCAR HQ to train as an operative and Intelligence officer. Only having ran a minimal amount of missions and seeing barely any combat, his readings of the SCAR records and intelligence database have made him an expert on the artifacts and things teams encounter in the field.

Worked in the Harrisburg, PA HQ for the first 5 years of his time at SCAR, and for the past 3 years he has been running archaeological and intelligence missions all over Europe and in North Africa. Helped set up a communications post between the Rome outpost and Harrisburg HQ.

Currently called to oversee a relatively new team leader's work in the field, and record the data and anything else they find while working.

Has an irrational fear of water and spiders. Intense sleep problems.

Ability: Quick reflexes. As in, his perception of time can slow, while he moves at normal speed. Can only be used in combat, as its triggered by mass amounts of adrenaline. Drawback: After use, he is paralyzed for three minutes. Body is limp, not frozen in place. Fully conscience at time. After being paralyzed, body is quite limber, too much, awkward walking, in ability to handle melee weapons. Lasts about two more minutes.

Skills: Rifle Handling, art of the fist, small knife etiquette.

Armour: Heavy Armour, painted on clovers all over it. On the back it reads "Don't mess with an Irishmen."

Weapons: Mossberg Shotgun, modified electrical shells, 44. Magnum, modified silver rounds, four Molotov Cocktails, for those pesky vampires. Small, razor sharp bowie knife.

Miscellaneous Items: Five Cigarettes, bottle of Whiskey. 40 clips of rifle ammo, walkie-talkie, GPS unit. Shoulder-mounted flashlight.

Personality: Seamus is mostly rude to people, rude as in insensitive, not mean. This by all means doesn't mean he doesn't care. If his teammates are in trouble, he'll go out of his way to help. He is often a womanizer, to others in his team, and outside of it. Times he can be very angry, for appealingly no reason. Protective of himself and friends, angered when he or friends are disrespected, talk lowly of, or insulted.

Bio: Seamus was raised outside of Dublin, Ireland. His family was well enough off, but still struggled at times. His father, a mill worker, was often friendly and caring, even in bad times. School life was hard on him, as bullies would often target him. He came home crying most days.

While one particularly large bullies was antagonizing him, he blacked-out. He he awoke, the bullies was lying on the ground, bleeding out his nose and mouth. His first experience with his hyper reflex. Then on, most left his alone, as they were quite scared.

Later, during his teens, he became a boxer. using his hyper reflex helped him win almost every match. His moniker was "The blood-red Shamrock." He was discovered by a retired SCAR member during his championship match.

He had been made the offer to join. He thought it over, and joined happily. He would fight creatures that could actually take punches. He was trained in close combat. Combat with his fists and knives were his favorite, with Shotguns close behind.

He is now stationed with his current squad, his favorite by far. Well trained soldiers, most of them with great education, overpowering his own. He was in no means dumb, but these people were smarter. He just hoped they could handle themselves in a fight, he can't save everyone's ass.

Ability: Purgery: Mal uses his experience from his time in the clergy to use the power of God to purge someone of their evil. This rips it from someone and turns their sins against them, driving them completely and utterly mad. Mal must be in physical contact with the individual(s). He can Purge two people at max, and that will leave him with a headache, a nosebleed, and temporarily impared vision. Purgery can be used to Exorcise demons. The stronger the demon, the bigger the strain on Mal. Likewise, his Ability makes him immune to demonic possession. When he uses his Ability, his eyes roll up in his head and they emit a dim glow.
Skills: Trained in the United States Marine Chaplan Corps. His stellar performance in Basic Training earned him several special dockets in which he joined Special Forces training and Navy SEAL demolitions and recon school. This leaves him superbly schooled in almost all forms of infantry weaponry and specialty explosives.

Armour: Heavy; no helmet but he wears a black soldier beret with a templar cross badge on the front. One the right shoulder plate of his armor, he has a white hand print painted on to resemble where he was touched by an angel. His knee guards have crosses painted on them. On the armored plate covering the back of his hand "Repent" is stamped on in white paint.

Weapons:
- M4 short barrel carbine with an enhanced capacity 60 round mag housing .223 calibur bullets. The M4 has a barrel mounted grenade launcher with infared laser sight and UV combat light. ACOG scope replaces the traditional iron sights. The stock has recoil dampers to reduce recoil and increase accuracy. Also has a silencer barrel to for more covert operations. He carries two sets of magazines with him; traditional rounds and silver rounds.

-Desert Eagle .50 calibur combat pistol with an increased capacity 12 round magazine. Barrel mounted red dot sight and UV combat light rigged on the pistol. Carries two sets of ammunition; silver and traditional.

- Berretta 9mm automatic combat pistol with increased capacity 18 round magazines. Infared laser sights and the same two sets of mags.

-Ballistic knife with iron and silver blades.

Personality: Not the most social man in the world, still being used to the Clergy or working silently on recon-infiltration missions. Very religeous, if you wish to keep your physical and mental state as it is, do not blaspheme more than three times in his presence. Most times he will seem solemn, subdued, and withdrawn. He has literally been to Hell and back. He spent three weeks as a dead man, that is roughtly thirteen years in Hell. He doesn't really believe anymore, he knows. There is a God and there is a Devil.

Bio: Malcolm served three tours in Iraq, coming back healthy and hearty two of those times. He reached the rank on Gunnery Sergeant over the course of his career in the War on Terror, earning the Medal of Honor, the Marine Corps Medal, the Presidentail Medal of Valor, the purple heart three times and the silver star two times.

On his third tour, Malcolm and his unit were ambushed during a night raid in a small town near Baghdad. Mal sustained multible gun wounds to his torso, several of his major organs were desistated beyond repair. In his last moments of life, Malcolm prayed for deliverence and salvation. He passed through the Veil with his crucifix in hand.

Gunnery Sergeant Malcolm Jefferson Maverick was declared legally dead and had an autopsy performed to remove the bullets from his corpse. Three weeks passed before he jolted awake in his coffin. Busting out, he looked about him, panicked, feverishly looking for any kind of enemy. The medics and surgeons didn't know what to say. They signed him off as dead and he was dead for three weeks. Someone simply doesn't come back. It is impossible, plain and simple. When the surgeon general looked Mal over, he had none of his past scars or wounds, not even the stitching from the Y-incision made during the autopsy. The only mark he had upon his body was a pink burn scar of a hand print on his right shoulder. That scar was never there before. One of the tests involved scanning Mal in various light spectrums. The more intense the frequency, the more strange the Sergeants case became. In the highest frequency, the scar on his shoulder glowed blinding white and he seemed to have translucent, ghostly wings of an angel.

X-rays showed that Malcolm's bones were engraved in a laguage never even documented, but engraved on his sternum was a crusaider cross woven within a pentagram. Finally beind released form study after the surgeon general declared Malcolm's status a miracle, the Sergeant volunteered to be put back in active duty as a Chaplain. Before he could start his next tour, SCAR picked him up. They told him that an angel pulled him from Hell, putting him back on the world of the living for a reason. Malcolm did not doubt what the SCAR representatives said, and signed up to serve in a different kind of war.

The doctors claimed he could never see, because he was born with an unknown problem. He spent the first seventeen years of his life being "The Blind Kid", until some jerk got too into picking on "The Blind Kid."

Ethan verbally attacked him, and the bully replied with a punch. But Ethan could suddenly sense the fist coming his way, and he dodges with quick retaliation. Ever since then, his "eyesight" has enhances greatly.

He started to see ghostly things that no one else could, and started to turn to the local police. The situation became known by SCAR, and they instantly went to his location.

Finally being useful, Ethan joined without questions, having no idea what he had gotten himself into.

Personality: Explained in Bio.

Bio: Andrew had a harsh life as a child, realising what he had for his powers he was quite quickly up and moved to a different life. He went from being a normal child like he'd hoped to becoming a trained killer, he spent most of his younger life training and preparing. During his first combat tests it was determined that he would be good at his job when he grew up, this was proven as well.

At the age of 22, he was sent out on a dangerous mission to guard a certain convoy moving over a high threat paranormal route. Of course, a threat came down and managed to take out the entire convoy, also demolishing most of the guards that were there. Andrew was one of the lucky two survivors, who managed to take down the threat that managed to take out the shipment.

Unfortunately, the other person convinced Andrew to stay out of SCAR's hair for a while, instead opting to go off on his own. For years he continued trekking across America as a free man, until many years later he was contacted by SCAR unexpectedly. Unfortunately, they wanted him back for a special assignment. Of course, knowing that they'd found him, he couldn't find a way to refuse them.

He was glad he went back though, as he got reunited with his sister; but all this came crashing down not long after. The place that they had to clear took it's toll upon everyone over time, eventually killing everyone in the group; including Andrew. Fortunately, his spirit managed to live on past this terrible incident, Scientists at SCAR were guessing it was because he had a bond to his Sister.

Either way, however his spirit survived, the brains at SCAR figured out a way to bond his soul to a synthetic body. Although, this came at a terrible price, as his soul was bonded to the body; it turned out that it became heavily imprinted upon it. This means that if Andrew's current body is destroyed, he would be dead for good this time, as his Soul relies on the body now.

This would be hard though, as the Scientists know that they wanted to keep Andrew alive as he was an important asset. His skin is tougher than normal all over his body, but covering important areas such as his heart, lungs and brain are covered with extremely tough polymer. It's tougher than normal skin, but not tough enough to hold against most things that SCAR go up against.

Andrew's ready to fight to the death for this mission, he's already given his body for SCAR's sake... He's prepared to do it again this time. The Facility where Andrew 'died' took a massive toll upon Andrew's mind and wellbeing. Now he looks upon everything with a dark cover, it's as though the world almost deserves everything that happens to them in his eyes now...

Bio:A Werewolf pack decimated my home town, and the local riff-raff and leftovers decided to form a militia to hunt them down. An old Hunter lead the hunt and the pack was found. Unforutantely some of the group were trigger happy and started shooting. The mob was slaughtered, and I was hanging on by a thin tread because the old Hunter attempted resessitation even as he died. I was blacking out as SCAR teams rushed threw.

I woke up in a cryotank with tubes attached to me to keep me alive. Someone in a whitecoat asked me "Do you want to live no matter what?
Do you want to repay the life that saved you?" He nooded his head; because, only an idiot would try to speak in a liquid, and he did not have the strength to do so anyway.

Description: Short, messy brown hair and bright green eyes. Patrick is skinnier than most military personnel, more lithe then stocky. He also has a small scar on his chin, a relic from a fight in his childhood.

Ability: Understanding: Patrick is able to look at extrapolate from information he already has. This can range from the mundane processes of where the best possible position would be to shoot from, to how creatures will react under pressure. This process takes so much mental power that all other processes, besides basic life support functions, are shut down for the duration. Simple tasks may take only minutes, whereas more complex assignments could take days to perform. The more information Patrick has to use, the easier the task becomes.

Skills: Plays a sniper/reconnaissance roll in most of the operation he takes part in. If you don't mind waiting until the battle has actually started, he can be an excellent tactician.
Armour: Light armour with a specially modified helmet. Advanced audio and optics have been put in, allowing Patrick to see and hear in more detail from a distance.
Weapons:
Barrett XM109 Rifle with incendiary, armour piercing and standard rounds (sometimes, you just need to make big holes...)
13mm Jackal Pistol (Created more or less from the ground up. This is what you get when you give a Hellsing geek access to a weapons lab...)

Razor Wire
A variety of sensor equipment and cameras.

Personality: Patrick has the personality of a much younger man. To the average person he tends to come off as quite intelligent, always knowing exactly what to say to get the response he wants. He has, however, promised not to use his ability on any of his team members, allowing them so see his true trickster personality. Laughing and joking, Patrick never really seems to take anything too seriously. How much of this personality is real and how much is a shield is not known even to Patrick himself.

Bio: Throughout the entire beginning of his life, Patrick was thought of as an idiot. His powers were still forming, still getting stronger, and as a result required much longer to process any piece of information. Things like simple math problems or difficult choices in conversation simply shut Patrick down. He struggled through school, unsure of his place, pulling in pathetic grades and generally being a social outcast. Eventually, he joined the army at 18 and that was where he came into his own. Patrick's powers suddenly bloomed, he knew what to say, how to act, where to move and where to shoot. He quickly became one of the most popular men on base, but nobody in power really took notice of him. That was changed when Patrick became the only survivor of a building collapse. The only other member of the squad that survived the initial crash spoke of Patrick dancing through the falling debris, not being hit by any of it. The military brass thought that it was just the raving of a dying man, but SCAR thought differently.

They brought Patrick in for questioning and learned about his abilities and recruited him before he had even left the base. He wasn't to be assigned to active duty, they had a better use for him. A Question. A Question that, for whatever reason, SCAR needed answered. Patrick listened, he thought and, ten years later, he woke up. And he had an answer. SCAR seemed happy with what the answer was, thanked Patrick for his time, and reassigned him to active duty.

Patrick bore no grudge, the pay was more than enough for 10 years, and he had known the risks before hand. SCAR had even taken pretty decent care of his body while he was asleep. Now, he's about to go out on his first mission after 10 long years. And he's looking forward to it.

There is just one thing I would like changed. This is your first mission for SCAR. You can keep the question. I'm going to have fun coming up with something for that.(if you have something in mind, i'd love to hear it) Change that one thing and you're in. I will work your character in, in my next post.

Alright, the post is changed. I have a couple ideas for the question that I'm bouncing around in my head, but nothing set in stone. When I get anything I'm happy with I'll let you know VIA PM. I think about 2 M of wire and shears would work well enough. My basic idea was just to have enough to trap a few doorways. Just out of curiosity, how were you going to introduce me? I just don't really want to screw with your plans.

Ability: His power lets him change anythings temperature. It can go to extremes like freezing or burning. His skin becomes more flushed (Red) when he's raising the temperature and paler (almost white) when he lowers the temperature. The drawbacks are that when he uses his power on an object his body feels some of the effect (So when he freezes something his body also becomes colder.) and when he uses the power on something bigger more of his body feels the effect (If it's a small object about the size of his hand then his hand starts getting colder/ warmer and once the object becomes bigger than him then the effect on his body is intensified, up until he feels the exact same thing.) He's also prone to outbursts of energy if he doesn't use his power for a while.

Skills: Skilled in Capoeira and Tae-kwon-do, Adept with pistols and some bladed weapons,

Armour: All black Light armor - No helmet, has a red spade painted on the right shoulder, the back, and on the back of his gloves,

Personality: Solitary, doesn't like to get close to people, barely shows emotion.

Bio: Claude was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, his parents were considered middle class and he lived a good life during his childhood years. During the third year of high school, Claude was walking around the mall with his friends when he began to feel a feel intense pain all over his body, his arms began getting colder while his legs began to feel as if they were on fire. After a few seconds he passed out.

When he woke up he was in a jail cell with officers looking over him. They interrogated him for days, trying to find out how he did that to all those people. They told him that most of the people surrounding him had either burn wounds or an intense level of frostbite, some of them even had to get parts amputated and he was the only one that was relatively unscathed.

Claude continued to tell them that he didn't do any of it until the trial day eventually came. He was accused guilty and was put into jail for a sentence of ten years.

After serving a few after the first day of his sentence Claude had another outburst of energy. The guards then moved him into solitary confinement while they tried to figure out what to do with him. The next he was visited by some members of SCAR. They told him that they would get him out of jail if he would join them. They explained to him that they were an organization that helped people like him control their powers and use them for good.
Claude agreed and they quickly shipped him off for training. Once there he was given small guns and martial arts training as well as trying to help him control his powers. He was just recently promoted to Clearance level four and is ready for any mission.

Better image of his clothes (http://i45.tinypic.com/xe1lpc.jpg). Lyrico doesn't exactly look military grade. He ends seeming to look more like a teenager or a child. He tends to like create doodles under his eyes, his favorite design is the line with the dots. It seems so teenager if you really think about it. Only teenagers put eyeliner down their cheeks and wear the clothes he wears. He tends to wear flexible leather pants and sweaters for he complains about it being cold even in the summer months. He complains a lot about temperature.
He has pale skin and odd blue eyes. They aren't hazel because it seems like the splash of green doesn't mix at all with the blue. It tends to be green around the pupil and bright blue as the rest. You could simply say he has blue eyes. Like the pictures his hair is black and medium length. He seems youthful for his age. And he tends to wear combat boots. His usual wardrobe consist of neutral colors blacks, whites, browns, and grays.
The pictures I'm using for the description are like normal pictures. So in a sense, all I did was add color to the image of what he looks like.

Ability: EPG- Emotion Psychic Guardian. The ability to have his emotion force harm on his enemies. Usually with invisible psychic like hands that rip whatever body part he chooses. They are naturally much stronger then human strength by 5 times. And the stronger his emotions are the strength rises by one. The downside to this ability, is that him himself doesn't have any physical strength. All his strength comes from his mental and emotional stability. And even then his power will falter if his mental and emotional states aren't stable.

Skills: Because he hasn't much life experience he can't become a karate master and he actually doesn't know much about computers. His biggest skill is his intuition. He seems more able to sense that something will go wrong or if there is something dangerous about to happen. He even has a better understanding of psychic residue left over by psychic soldiers.
It all has to do with him having to control his emotions. In that sense he has he has to feel when he's getting out of control. He can bring this knowledge to almost anything.

Armour: Light: Just sorta likes wearing bullet proof vest and stuff. He says to much gets him hot.

Weapons: Flamethrower Shotgun- A shotgun with a flamethrower bottom. It can shoot burst explosions of flames from it's flamethrower side. As well as empty explosive rounds for those quick get out of their situations. It's modified to fit his rather peculiar situation. Pistol- There comes in a time when you need a quicker weapon with less heavy duty power. That's where the pistol comes in. It usually just chucks out silver bullets. But he also has some modified energy absorbing bullets. Basically a psychic has to draw out power to perform a psychic ability. The bullets stop this from happening. They act as a cushion enabling uncontrolled burst. This makes them susceptible to the other group attacks.

Miscellaneous Items: Lighter, he has some fantasies of burning and the smell of fire. He likes keeping a lighter in his pockets, just to smell it and sometimes to fantasize about the flames licking and burning a building or even a person.

Personality: He has turn himself off. Mute, no emotions. He tends to rather be callous and cold hearted. But that's because he has been taught that to control his powers he has to shut off his mind or he'll lose it.
Despite it, you'd think a 25 year old be well more mature. And in the end he ends up being a little less then mature. He's rebellious and doesn't like to be given orders. Though being SARC has allowed him to mature a little more. When he does have the capabilities of showing his emotions it as watching someone go through a rainbow of emotions in 7 seconds flat. He has to think long and hard to control everything or everything just ends up getting out of control. To out of control.

Bio: Lyrico has regressed a lot of his past. He knows he had grown into a nice and quiet home. Good family. And he knows he had abilities even then when he was young. It never seemed that hard when he was a kid. Since the innocence of a child was that he didn't want to harm anyone. It began to get harder in middle school, since by then you have a sense of individualism and more personal worth. By the end of middle school and high school it got worse. The anger and every other emotion just sort of got out of hand. Every student who had ever caused him any harm turned into just a bloody pool of bits and pieces. Instead of confessing to it, he was the kid who was caught with his hand in the cookie drawer. They labeled in his freshman years mentally unstable. And he was locked away for quite some time. From about 15 to about 22. From there it only seemed to get harder. It wasn't like the medicine they forced down his throat stopped him from feeling anything. And it turned out to be more of a hassle. He guess this place SCAR found out about his abilities. And they began to help lead somewhat of a normal and better future. At first it seemed hard, but after a while like all things it became easier.
He still needs some work, but he's better now. And seems to live somewhat comfortably. He'll probably never contact his past again. Assuming that they probably wouldn't want to see him again after all that he had done.

Ability: Can “See” what is coming in his direction by sensing the things presence, which creates a makes a picture in his mind that shows the shape of what it is. He cannot tell exactly who it is, but the images, after a while, become clearer and can tell some small details.

The problem though, is that he cannot control this, and happens with everyone. This can cause his mind to black out if too many people approach him from the same direction. When his mind is sorting out the details he becomes very vulnerable, as his mind focuses on just that, and not much in thinking about his safety.

Skills: Very good intelligence of Nature. Can pick out what is seen before him efficiently and quickly.

Armor: Heavy armor with red DNA like shapes strewn across it. No helmet.

Weapons: Semi – Automatic M4 Carbine with 2X removable scope. It is modified to add liquid silver to the bullet if added via container.

Miscellaneous: Multiple clips of ammunition, Holy Cross hidden in his boot. Small flashlight with high power.

Personality: Yakim is not at all serious, often using humor in situations. A small grin is always on his face, as if happy with everything he sees. He is also very religious, and prays every so often.

Bio: Yakim came from a moderate family in Poland, always having free time to himself as a child. He loved to play sports with others, but at the age of eleven he noticed that he always fainted during large team sports. This seemed just a problem with maybe being tired from all the running he did, but his family kept watching and noticed this happening outside of sports and other activities.

After taking multiple tests, he was considered a “freak”. His parents did not want him and an operative from the SCAR agency took him in. There he trained most of his life, being tested on what he could do.

More than once has he skipped training to experience beyond the Walls of SCAR’S European agency. He enjoys being outside, feeling fresh air blow against him and the green look of the plants and trees.

He constantly dwells back to his childhood, wishing he could be a normal boy in Poland. This does not stop him from making the best of things though, and he loves to find ways to make others feel better.

Bio: Kristy grew up in Oregon with her mother, her father had filed a divorce before she was born. She grew up not seeing her mother-due to her working to support the family-much and being the youngest in her family, her two older brothers were computer whizzes. Earning full ride scholarships to Yale, Kristy wasn't as gifted as her two brothers, but she did alright in school. In high school she began to run track and was on her way to winning a scholarship to Oregon State running the 800 meter and 100 meter, but luck was not on her side. Three days before her final race she caught a sickness that put her in a hospital for a month. She also began to develop an odd ability to move things through a lot of focus, but she tried to not use the ability after she almost killed herself using it. She tried to lift herself from her hospital bed, but the stress from so much concentration made her comatose for several weeks.

With her future in ruins she took what money she had and enlisted with the Marines; Kristy kept her ability a secret throughout her training to avoid being dropped from the program or put in some lab for studies, and to avoid killing herself. When Kristy was in training she shot below average with a rifle, but she made up for that with her level of fitness and her almost natural ability to fly helicopters and vehicles. She passed those tests with top scores of her class. With that she was almost immediately shipped off for a tour in Iraq. When Kristy got back she choose to serve in Afghanistan a few months later. When she returned from this tour she was left a little more shaken, she had witnessed more than a few deaths of her fellow soldiers. She requested to be put on active reserve. The request was granted and she was stationed in Massachusetts.

I just wanted to apologize to everyone for the way this has been put on hold. We have a couple of players who have major problems in their life. Now while I know that one of them is improving, I can't say for sure what is going on with the other. But I do intend to keep this going. Ability: Pryomancer. Shane can create fire at will but her drawback is that if she uses her abilities to her fullest level she could potentially incinerate herself or those around her.

Skills: Level headed, quick thinking showing extreme grace under fire, well versed in the use of fire arms and switchblade knives.

Armor: Shane chooses light armor as anything else she considers to be too heavy to wear. She can be seen wearing jackets and matching pants or a full length drover coat. Usually it will be the latter that she is wearing over top of whatever she has chosen to wear that day. Both wardrobes contain multiple pockets and are made of a special Kevlar blend for protection purposes. All of Shanes clothing is completely fire retardant.

Weapons: Shane has little use for weapons since she can control fire but she does carry for more inconspicuous reasons a Glock 26 9mm subcompact with regular rounds/silver nitrate rounds. Shane uses a Honey Comb which is precision manufactured at great expense. Hiding it in a sleeve pocket it has the innocuous appearance of a simple hairbrush, but the fully functional brush also acts as a sheath that conceals a highly effective stiletto dagger made of steel.

Miscellaneous Items: In her various pockets she carries extra ammo, cell phone, various hair ties, mini flashlight, a cross necklace that was her mothers, pen and paper and always has at least one bottle of water on her.

Personality: Shane appears to the common eye to be a fun loving type of person but has a serious side. She considers everyone to be an acquaintance but yet considers very few people to be a true friend. When she is on task she is extremely focused and little can deter her from her agenda.


Bio: Shane is a true army brat which she always found to be both a blessing and a curse. Having had to move from place to place afforded her the gift of being able to travel and see new places. It also provided her with an abundance of time that was often spent alone as she never really had time to make friends. For Shane, this suited her well because she considers few people to be trust worthy or close friends. Only a select few people in her life have ever garnered the title of “friend.”

The downside of being an army brat was the consistently having to move. It wasn’t the fact that Shane had to leave people behind, or homes behind as they meant little to her. It was just the damned constant process of packing and unpacking that had always gotten under her skin.

Shane’s mother Leahna Adaire passed away when Shane was seventeen years old. She was a loving and kind woman who gave her all to her children and husband. Shane’s father was military all the way but he loved his family with a fierceness of a lion who wanted nothing more than to protect his family and to be sure that his family could protect themselves. He accomplished this by making sure that when his wife passed away he taught his children how to defend themselves instructing them in firearms and various means of self defense.

Shane only has one sibling still alive. Her younger sister “Kara” which is short for Karilea was born fiver years after Shane. Even though they are both now on their own and parentless Shane can still be overprotective of her younger sister. Her older brother Michael was killed in a tragic car accident when he was only seventeen years old.

During the time that the family spent being transferred from army post to army post Kara spent most of her time playing with the other children while Shannon herself spent most of her time alone. It was during this time that she had by accident one day realized her capabilities to create and manipulate fire at will when working on a report that she found to be difficult. Balling the paper up and throwing it into the trash can she had been thinking to herself how she wished she could burn the whole damn report and within seconds the pages caught on fire. Grabbing the report and throwing it into a metal trash can Shane was stunned but yet amazed at what had happened, not to mention pissed off because she had to start the report over completely. Trying her hand at creating fire at will again she eventually over time learned to control her gift with more precision but never did she allow her family to become aware of her condition.

After their father Charles passed away and Kara had settled down to marry Shane herself decided to travel and finally settled down after having landed a job in Baltimore, MD. It was close enough to VA to still be able to visit her sister and still provide her with a location that gave her a good paying job with a steady source of income.

One night while Shane was out with a fellow co-worker for a very random night on the town Shane had been walking home after having just left her friend at her doorsteps. Shane’s own apartment was only a few blocks away. On the way there however Shane noticed another woman being attacked and drug into an alleyway. Without thinking twice Shane had raced into the alley way and had used the defense training to attack the attackers which gave the other woman time to flee. However unknown to Shane the attacker had accomplices waiting in the alley. When Shane had found herself outnumbered she was forced to call upon her pyromancer powers to ward off the criminals but as a result of her actions an innocent patron who had heard the skirmish and was coming to her aide was burned severely in the incident. Having intended to hit one of the assailants with the fire ball they had managed to dodge it and the bystander instead had been hit. The gang had made their escape and Shane was left to call for the police and stay with the injured party until the police and ambulance arrived.

When the police arrived the young injured incoherent woman who was badly burned kept repeating that Shane had done it. Shane tried to tell the police that the woman was in shock and didn’t know what she was saying. The police having been under the impression that Shane had assaulted the woman had taken her into custody. Word spread quickly throughout the town via the gang members who couldn’t believe what they had seen. Down at police headquarters Shane was locked up.

Before Shane knew what was going to happen or even had time to call her sister or a lawyer some men arrived at the police station. Shane was immediately released into their custody. Shane never did know how they managed to get her out or what lies they had told the police to get her out, she only knew that it was the beginning of a new world for her. It was her introduction into the world of S.C.A.R.

Ability: Pseudo-precognitive senses - the "spidey-sense." Technically, Vee doesn't sense things before they happen, she just reacts to them so quickly it seems that she does. This has been linked to an over-active adrenal gland, and as a result she suffers from intense insomnia, occassional hallucinations, paranoia, and mood swings. She is also usually unaware of any injuries she might sustain.

Skills: Vee is adept with guns. She is ambidextrious, quick and agile. She is an accomplished gymnast and runner, but her small size limits her badly in hand to hand combat. Her sharp shooting is top notch, though.

Armour: Light, no helmet.

Weapons: Usually, a pair of Glock 39s, but Vee is very adaptable with her weaponry. She tends to favor high caliber pistols or sniper rifles, but can do some significant damage with a shotgun or rifle.

Miscellaneous Items: Vee wears a dog tag chain with five tags on it, each one with a roman numeral from I to V.

Personality: Vee is cheerful, bubbly, and generally happy to be around people. She is eager to please and quick to blame herself. She believes herself to be not particularly bright, and she indeed forgetful and sometimes quite socially awkward. She makes up for it by sheer force of will. She never stops smiling and is quick to dismiss her own problems to aid another. She is, though, slightly neurotic and prone to having hallucinations, so she has a lot of difficulty know what's real and what's not.

Bio: Vee was born to a military family that promoted physical activity before academics. Her small size and boyish figure and difficulty in academics kept her from much acceptance in school, but she never got into any fights... she never had a problem dodging punches.

Her father was emotionally distant but still involved in her life, and was very proud when his daughter joined the military police. In basic training, she was subject to a litany of "accidents" as other soldiers attempted to harass her. Again, she got into no fights. It was until Vee actually dodged an accidental misfire that her superiors started to note her unusual reaction time.

During her training for SCAR, her adrenal gland suddenly kicked into overdrive. She immediately stopped sleeping, became paranoid, and was plunged into a world where she was rarely in control of herself and could never tell what was real and what was not.

Vee was involved in a number of operations around the world, and never talks about any of them. Her dog tags are the only proof they ever happened. She usually just dismisses any questions about them with a smile and a hallucination.

Ability: Sound Wave Manipulation- The ability to take sound waves an manipulate them for two desires affects in which give off different reactions. High Pitch sounds, such as moving your finger around the rim of the cup causes explosions, such as enemies head exploding. Lower Pitch Sounds, such as low dirty bass from rap cause enemies ears to bleed and disrupt functions such as regular heartbeat.
He also has a bit of a sonar like ability, this comes in handy when the visor doesn't work

The setback of such ability is the slow down of cells. It comes from the Sound Wave Energy Law. When sound is produce it comes from an outlet. Because he is disrupting the sound, the sound must now come through him. The cells are then destroyed within his body because people aren't allowed to carry that much energy within their bodies. The destruction of these cells means he has lower stamina rate, and gets fatigued easier. Processes such as healing would take him longer then the average person.

I would first like to apologize to the people who were alredy participating in this. I had more planned, but it seems we may have lost some people and felt it better to introduce some new chacrters. As such I moved things ahead.

Personality: As a socially awkward person, Chase is unable to have a hold a conversation for any length of time. Of course, Chase is unable to do anything for a length of time without freaking out. He has a habit of touching people and things with no regard for personal space. Of course touching him will result in Chase freaking out again. However, Chase isn't completely lost to the world. Due to years of therapy with his personal doctor, Chase is able to preform normal task with little issues.

Talking with Chase is tricky. Depending on his mood, Chase will ramble on about the smallest details or will stare at you blankly. There is no real way to know what he is talking about. Chase spends many of his therapy sessions talking in great detail about shaving. It can be extremely disturbing. But he always tries his best to help, and fight against his own disturbed and broken mind just to prove his worth to SCAR.
Bio: ChaseThe following are the gathered details of one Chase Holdsfield.
Chase was born in Greenwood, Indiana to Jerry and Amy Holdsfield. They raised him until the age of 14. Both Jerry an Amy where killed by a drunk driver. He was soon adopted by his uncle, Fred Smith. A year later, at a parent teacher meeting, Fred was informed that Chase had perfect scores on all of his test in every class. Due to this Chase was given the opportunity to start taking collage courses. He quickly started mastering the courses. In four years time Chase had gathered enough credits to acquire a masters degree in mathematics and applied science.

It was at this point that Chase was approached by SCAR. They told him of their special program and asked if he would like to join. Chase was quick to jump aboard. He quickly became the top of his class. During his training, Chase's power was documented. He appeared to be able to notice every detail of everything. And he remembered it perfectly. This skill allowed him to create a gap between himself and the other trainees. During weapons training, Chase was extremely accurate and quick. Thought where he really excelled was knife training. He was more deadly with the knives than most people where with guns. Due to his extremely high marks, Chase was elected to join a group of high ranking SCAR operatives. His first mission was scheduled for a one week from graduation.
Hello. I am Doctor Beverly Crusher. I have been asked to record the results of my sessions with one Chase Holdsfeild.

I have been told almost nothing about this man I am suppose to be helping. So far the only thing I have been told is that he suffered a traumatic event. How am I suppose to help him if I don't know what happened? This is ridicules. I mean right when I entered the room it was quite clear that the patient was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. I have been told he has been in a catatonic state for three months now. It wasn't a good sign. But if I don't know what happened... I'm talking in circles.

Let me start over.

Thanks to basic access of his files, I have conformed that Chase seems to retain all his normal basic skills such as eating, bathing, and the other necessary human actions. Beyond that all I see is an empty shell. From the notes, I appears he has calmed a lot from the incident. It took almost a week for him to let anyone near him without nearly killing them.

Side note: It appears that Chase's power has evolved some. He can seem to project his thoughts into others. A daunting thing when you have been through what he has. But it appears that he holds it back quite well. He had no desire to use it on me.


Back to the main point. As I spoke to Chase, I noticed that he just stared into space. But when I leaned in close so give him a reassuring hand on his shoulder, he reached up and grabbed my hand. He looked at me for a second before releasing and then he went back to his robotic state.

I am going to have to find out what happened. Tonight I will try to talk some sense into the man who out me on this job. See if he will actually let me do it right.

That pigheaded man, who is probably watching this right now, just wont give me the information I need. It is becoming infuriating. I think I may back out of this one. The kid seems like a lost cause. On top of that I finally learned why they aren't using a telepathic person to help him. Apparently the last guy who tried to dive into Chase's mind clawed his own eyes out screaming, "It is going to devour us!" There was more said, but of course, they won't tell me.

Doctor Crusher, signing off.Today was... different. I am not sure what changed, but I got a response out of Chase today. When I went in the room, he sat there like normal. I sat down beside him and waited for his to touch my face, as is his retinue. But after he touched me something new happened. He pulled his hand away and turned to me. Has my presence made him happy? Or has he just adapted to me normally being there? Either way, this is progress. Maybe now you guys will let me know what is going on with him. Hm? Yeah. The cards are in my court now! I am not sure what to do about this. Should I try to engage him more, or continue the pattern and see what he does?

The biggest breakthrough was today. He spoke to me. I know, I know. He spoke to me a few times before over the last two months. But this was different. Before he would just give short simple answers to questions I asked him. But today, when I was about to leave, Chase grabbed my wrist and told me thank you.

You have no idea how good it feels to see him responsive. Maybe now I can get somewhere with him. Don't you think you should fill me in now?I learned a few new things today. First, I learned that Chase is able to see all my memories when he touches me. It's odd to think about. Everything I have ever done is in his head. I makes me feel so... well normal. It doesn't seem to bother me. I don't know why. But I am glade he is happy with me.

The second thing I learned was much more difficult to take. They decided to let me know why Chase is this way. I am not allowed to speak of it normally, but due to my recordings being level 1 security, I think I'm safe. It appears that on Chase's first mission, his team was ambushed by a demon. But this wasn't just a possession. The demon was in it's true form. It mutilated all of his teammates and tried to kill Chase. No one is sure why, but it left him alone.

Chase is the only known person to ever see a demon's true form. But if that is true, and Chase can't truly confirm this, how do we know. It was a freaking helmet camera. But the problem is, we can't see the demon on the camera. Only a black mass appears on the recording. But even seeing that sent chills down my spine. I don't think I can look at it again.

You did nothing wrong in my eyes. Like I have said, do whatever you want. Personally I loved it. But Claire might not be too impressed.

Just to make this clear to everybody, it's a free rein RP for the most part, if anything gets too far away form the story, whch would be near impossible to do, i will steer it back on track. If anyone is unsure if an action they want to do would be a bad thing, feel free to post in the OOC or PM me. I will never say that you can't do something. But I may advise against it Whether you heed that advice, is up to you. Just remember, actions may have consequences.

To put it bluntly, if you chooses to do something, I don't have a problem with it. I will adapt to anything you throw out. If you want to throw out an ambush, go ahead. I like players to be creative. And I also like surprises.

Oh, and of course don't kill another character. That would be bad.

It's fine. I would say that the feeling would be similar. Both entites have great power and are evil to the nth degree. But the thing in the woods was summoned by the Necronomicon. The thing in the facility wasn't. But as they are similar in a lot of ways, Ethan wouldn't really be able to tell the difference

With the opening of this most recent portal, all abilities will now do basically the reverse of their normal effect. Example. If Claire tries to control the emotions of something, it can now easilly take her over. In the case of offensive powers, they will backfire. If you need help to determine the reverse efefect for your power, please contact me and I will gladly help.

Gypsy's post was a co-op post with me.

And I think that's everyone. Okay all, here's the deal. I have worked it out that I can finish this in four more posts. mere has told me he will post tonite. Kirra will post after him. For the sake of moving this along, I will puppet all remaining chacrters through the portal.

About the next episode; SCAR The Beginning The End will be mostly about character development. There will be some combat, it is SCAR after all, but it will be a very small fraction of the RP.

If by chance anyone changes their mind about doing it, any open spots will be filled by invitation, if possible. I do have a couple of people in mind. But in all honesty, I hope no one dropes. Good bunch of writer's here, and I will be honoured to have all of you continue.

I just want to say thank you to all of you. You have all been an amazing bunch of players and it has been my honour to RP wiht each and every one of you. Yes I am getting a little ahead of myself here, but I feel stoked. This will be the first RP that I have ever been a part of that has actually completed. Thanks guys and gals.
