The story follows the conflict between Chaos and Cosmos and their allies, drawn from the main series games of Final Fantasy. Backstory for the various characters are also given in "Reports", which are divided into Cosmos Reports and Chaos Reports. Within the history of Dissidia, Chaos and Cosmos have been at war with each other for an eternity, but thus far neither side has emerged victorious. As the game begins, it seems Chaos has finally gained the upper hand. The Warrior of Light finds Cosmos mortally wounded from a battle with Chaos. With the forces of light in peril, Cosmos appears before the other nine heroes and entrusts them with the task of recovering the Crystals, which can save their worlds.

Though they do not fully understand the quest Cosmos sets before them, the heroes set out to retrieve the Crystals in the hopes they can end the war. Each of the ten heroes has a storyline following their journey to recover their respective Crystal. Each storyline also parallels to a certain extent the events, or at least the spirit, of the storyline in the hero's original game.




1. I like OC but for this RP I only accept Canon Characters.
2. Canon Characters can be ANYONE from the Final Fantasy Universe; from FF 1 until FF 12 or more if there are.
3. You can apply for two-three characters. One main character, and the others minor character. You cannot apply for two main characters. It is ok to apply for two-three minor characters.
4. When we post in IC, please write your character's name as header before the contents, it will make it easier to read because sometimes I read in the middle of the night and sometimes I forgot who plays as who (specially in large community) and it makes me a bit hard to understand the contents.
5. If you can, when you apply for two characters; please take from different series. I mean it would be funny if you play as Tidus and Yuna at the same time; it's like you're RP'ing with yourself xD. Isn't it better if you take Tidus and Tifa or Cloud and Yuna ?
6. The dead characters; i.e Zack Fair (Final Fantasy VII); I won't revive them back to alive.. because I'm not interested in zombies (j/k), but you CAN apply them and play as them watching/talking from the heaven; the lifestream; or whatever it was. The main heroes and main villains already revived.

So is this a redeux of the 13th cycle? Because the last dissidia was suppose to be the last cycle...so I'm guessing it must be a redeux. Not sure how much back story you are looking for either but I can give you the whole of it if you require it all.

Backstory : A SEED that saved the world from Ultimecia. During his journey he changed from the lone wolf to a caring person falling in love in the process, although he still will go at things alone trying not to rely on others too heavily.

The reason why you apply for this character : He is the most epic emo in the whole FF series hahaha. There was another rp awhile ago and I played Squall but it never got far.

I got a question. Would characters such a Genesis Rhapsodos from FFVII Crisis Core be able to be played? Genesis is... well, we're not exactly sure if he's dead or alive. There have been hints that Genesis isn't dead. So... yeah. XD He's one of my favourites.

Hey Dea, Dissidia is awesome, and I have had my eyes on the sequal for a while now... As for this RP, I would absolutely love to play as Jecht, despite my lack of skill with him in the game he is one of the more entertaining and lively characters in the cast.

Back story: Jecht was an arrogant man who drank too much, believed himself to be the best Blitzballer in existence, and when he wasn't neglecting his son he was antagonizing him. He eventually found himself lost in the world of Spira, vanishing from Zanarkand. There he became the guardian to the summoner Braska who defeated Sin. However what wasn't known was that in becoming the final Aoen and defeating Sin he became the shell of the new Sin. He was eventually defeated by his son Tidus and old comrade and friend, Auron along with the rest of the group.

However in the realm of Cosmos and Chaos he serves on the side of Chaos, despite having little interest in working for Chaos. He has a dream involving his son that is a mystery, and has encounters with Tidus where he tries to allow him the chance to settle their grudge and prove himself. In the past he himself used to fight as a member on Cosmos' side.

I thought we weren't able to have two characters from the same game. Genesis and Sephiroth were once best friends. Wouldn't the example of Yuna and Tidus talking to each other be the same as Sephiroth and Genesis talking to each other? Just pointing out the rules the GM made.

Well, the game kind of left it so that Genesis appeared dead. Sephiroth could never know that Genesis is still alive, therefore leaving that problem out. But, Genesis is kind of twisted, so he would probably end up on Chaos' side. =S Well, I wouldn't mind switching Sephiroth (I like Genesis too much. XD). I have a few ideas, but that would mess up Genesis' personality, so... =S I think I'll just switch. I can be really forgetful, so I kind of forgot about that rule when I signed up. DX I'll go switch Sephiroth.

Rydia made her way slowly throughout the stone caverns, moving in through tiny passageways, that only led to more passages. She held her gloved hand out infront of her as the lights from the outside no longer reached this particular area, before a wisp-looking ball of flame rose up from her fingertips, and hovered freely within Rydia's radius.
The sound of her heels echoed throughout the new area, as she carefully made her way to a larger cave, within the cave itself.

A little taken back by how easy it was to travel inside the cave, she was hesitant to continue forward, seeing as a good explorer knows their surroundings, then again.. This was her first time here, perhaps she was wrong, perhaps the rumors of Toroia are more fact than fiction.
Rydia pushed forward, coming to a set of stairs, with a set of steel doors at the bottom of them. Her eyes widened slightly at the elegant patterns the doors had designed on them, before pushing one of them open, with surprising ease.
Rydia stepped into a gigantic crystal room, with plenty of old bookcases, chairs, tables, barrels, and empty treasure chests. Behind the pile of books, Rydia discovered a group of teenage boys, with creepy [poorly manufactured], dark elf costume.
Rydia then placed her hands on her slender hips, and narrowed her eyes toward the boys as they stared back up at her; wide-eyed, with fear deep within their tiny little hearts.
The reason why you apply for this character: IV was the first FF, that I was able to play by myself, And I'm attached to Rydia the most, ever since <3

Sample RP: Mustadio held his pistol tight, as he hid just around the corner from a his pursuers. He stayed close to the wall as one of the men ran by, unaware of Mustadio's ditch in the pursuit. Another of the men slowed down to catch a breath, but glanced at Mustadio through the corner of his eye.
"H-Hey!" the man called out, but before he could get any other words in, Mustadio aimed his gun toward the foot of the man, and fired.
Before the man had the chance to fall over, Mustadio shot the other foot, with such perfect precision. The commotion brought the attention of the first stalkers, but by the time he made it back to his painful comrade, their target was already long gone.

Also, are 'generic' canon characters acceptable? Like Warrior of Light and Onion Knight? Cause if they are, I was wondering if I could apply for Red Mage from FFI :3 I think Almost Blue wants White Mage if I can do Red.

Edit: Yes, I know Wiegraf is dead, but... well, realistically if you're going to disallow /every/ dead 'villain' aside from the mains, then that's basically all that's left, since generally all the villains are dead at the end, and even if he wasn't the MAIN villain, Wiegraf was pretty important and did last pretty long into the story.

And yes, even though I'm applying for both Rydia, and Mustadio, taking on a third character is still within Dea's rules~
Also I'm fully capable of taking on three characters at a time..in fact it's preferred. xD
