Erik sat outside, watching the sunrise from atop of the roof. He ran his fingers through his red hair and wondered if his adopted sister was awake yet. He laid back and sighed softly, as soon it would be time to go to the high school. It was his last year there this year, and all the fond memories would be what they were, only memories. He adored his adopted sister, and though he would never admit it, had fallen in love with her. He remembered the day that she had been adopted.

The day she had been adopted, there was still a father in the picture. They had been standing outside to great her and when she walked up with an orphanage worker. Her face had been all dirty, and her face streaked with tears. Erik had been hiding behind his mother's back. He had only been 8 years old at the time and he was a shy boy. He remembered the day so well even though it had been 10 years ago. His mother had told him, ' Love her like a sister, you are her brother now...'

Those words still rang in his mind, even now, as they had grown up and she became a beautiful young lady. He still treated her with kindness even though his father had been killed saving her life. It had not been easy, but it was his duty as an older brother. As time went along they became playmates, and when at home they were almost inseperable. Yet now, they were teenagers, going through awkward phases, and noticing things they never thought about before. They were of the opposite sex...
