A Man I'd Hate To Meet

If ever a man I'd hate to meet
in any given place or time
A I proceed on down the street
he'd be a poet, one that rhymes...

When I wave at them, they always frown
and in fact, I've devised a campaign
I'll run those heathens out of town
and the streets will be mine once again!

As well, they're self-obsessed;
they take 'conceited' to a new degree
Incompetent fools! They think they're the best
but they'll never be better than me!

They run amok constantly, acting perverse
my God, and they're all such prudes!
And as dinner companions, they couldn't be worse
I mean, come on, they're just plain rude!

And they smell; when I'm standing a mile away
I detect a slight change in the air
It's as though when they near, plant life starts to decay
I at least think about washing my hair!

So if you see a poet near
simply turn in another direction and run
Those fellows are pompous and awfully queer
it's such a relief that I'll never be one!

I'll update again relatively soon.

Bravo!!!!

I'm actually jealous of how you master rhythm. I'm trying my hardest to write poetry but it ends up coming out in nonrhythmic blobs. It doesn't help that my username reminds me that I'm so fail. xDDDDDD

Bravado, actually(ouch!).

Haha, thanks. All of my poems end up having the same rhythm, though. I'm a prisoner to old ways, I suppose. Some parts of it are definitely bumpy as well. XD Have you posted any writing?

And oh gosh no, not here at least. I've literally just given up on writing. But keep posting! You inspire me!
