Shádí Demir
Shah-dee Deh-meer

Female.

Mid- to late-twenties.

Turkish-American.

A darker tone of hair that flows down to her lower back; somewhat murky, honey-shade eyes set on a smooth, round face along with thin but rosy lips. A fit and curvy body, standing at a solid 5’7”. Hardly ever seen without a cigarette between her fingers.

Snapshot (http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv122/TR-Alice/Tuba_Buyukustun_by_paradox1299.jpg).

A gentle, but authoritative voice with a slight Turkish accent nearly impossible to distinguish.

Although being a woman, Shadi never gave much thought to the latest fashion, glamour, nor any such thing. Flappers and boas were neglected by her, and pants chosen over dresses for any occasion. Her general attire consisted of a top with tight-fitting but comfortable slacks, boots barely reaching her knees, and a beige parka (http://www.sterlingmotorcycles.com/images/parka%20lady%20555_big.jpg) usually worn unbuttoned.

Colt M1911, trench knife (http://www.extremeblades.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/trench-knife.jpg) with hand guard knuckles.

An ill habit of smoking doesn’t permit the female to leave the house without a pack of cigarettes. Other than that, a notebook with a writing utensil, a wallet, a pocket watch and a water flask sum up her equipment.

Although born in Turkey, it would be proper to say that most of the female’s life was spent in the US. She was brought up and raised in the states until adulthood, which, in her case, arrived at an early age. Never content to stay in one location for too long, she traveled as much as her finances allowed, teaching as a professor wherever her current home was. By the time she was capable of comprehending the exact concepts of war, though, the first World War had already been brought to a conclusion.
Being a professor, she specializes in cultural landmarks, capital/important cities, and of the like. Her teaching mostly rotates around sharing information about the most valuable places in the world with her students.
Upon receiving the letter from Cavendish, Shadi herself cannot fathom what exactly brought her to accept the invitation. Sure, most of the destinations are included in her area of expertise, but maybe it was the hint of adventure, exploration, or fame… Who knows.

Other: Her order of actions usually include a definite, “I-know-what-I’m-doing” aura about them.

A soft sigh, a turn of the head.

She clasped the smooth, cold fountain pen in her right hand and moved in a brisk manner to sign the several documents. Upon completion, she handed them to the student in front of her wordlessly. The student turned on his heel, as if meaning to leave the room, then turned back around.

“Ms. Demir, I apologize, it slipped my mind. This envelope came for you several days ago,” he said. The envelope was slipped out of his pocket and handed to the professor at her desk.

Shadi took a drag of smoke, the cigarette in her left hand, before reaching to take the envelope. She gave it once-over before looking up and nodding. “Thanks.”
The boy left the room.

Upon opening the seal, she skimmed through the letter, then dropped it on her desk. Venture for fame, fortune, and intrigue…? The last sentence in the letter was read more than a few times. Why would she abandon everything she had so far accomplished to go on a fool’s adventure for fame?

Another drag of smoke, a few more minutes. Then, the female rose from the desk chair, left the envelope on the desk, and walked out of the room… to pack.

Michelle Moreau

Twenty-two.

Photograph (http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2009/359/1/b/Frozen_V__by_Sirxlem.jpg).

Speaking has never been a preferred activity of the female…
Arrogant, cold, neglectful - have at it. Depict the woman in a single word and wait in anticipation for her to be that. Don’t waste your time. It will never happen.
To compress the being of Michelle Moreau into one word, one simple phrase, would be an act worth rewarding. Not many people have the ability to read her, to figure her out. The few persons that have found a way have great talent. Constant perplexing thoughts, a cold nature, and few revelations about her being all lead to Michelle being a very… unique person, dare I say?

Student.

Corresponding to her persona, her history is veiled with a rare exception of a few glimpses. Brought to light somewhere in Europe, she‘s in the US for education - to attend the university.
The hidden riches were slow to grab her attention, but the danger, the mystery, the promise of adventure seemed very appealing at the time she heard about the Manor. Now that the date's so near, Michelle is having doubts about her decision, to say the least.
Was all this really a good idea?

A pack of cigarettes are her only companions.

Kori Gliozzi
Z's as in "Nazi"

Twenty-three.

Lime green eyes, a darker shade of red hair, and a lip ring right in the middle of her lower lip are distinct characteristics of Kori Gliozzi.

Snapshot (http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/041/a/7/Rock_girl_by_ShadowsOfTheDay.jpg).

Civilian.

A Raven Arms .25 (http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:yVBW0TXpOKSTzM:http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq5/SgtSchutzen/DSC00936.jpg&t=1) is a gun that’s always by her side. All that was needed of her to obtain it was knock down some mental pedo gangster who mistook her for a whore. There's occasionally a knife or two.

Kori has a yearning to change, to improve, to make a difference. Certainly, it may seem absurd to even have such hopes in the times that everyone’s presently living in. But, no matter how disastrous things may get, hope still resides in the girl. It’s practically why she’s still alive to this day. Sure, she cheats, steals, fights, lies, and even kills, like everyone else, but.. she’s not doing it out of choice. She ought to survive somehow, right?

The female also has a talent for hiding her feelings, her self, who she truly is. Anyone who’s had the pleasure of being in her presence assumes that she’s just an outgoing rebel who’s making an effort to live, when in reality, there‘s a softy inside of her.

Now, when it comes to drugs, well… She tried it. Then tried again. And again. And again. Just one more time, it won’t kill me, is a constant thought in her mind. She’s attempted to stay away. It worked for a day or two…
Also, alcohol&sarcasm are favorites out of the things that are ruining her life.

Speaking of her life.. When she needs a place to crash, her destination is a friend’s or a place of someone she knows. When she needs to eat, whatever she can get a hold of is her meal. Her day goes by in a blur of wandering and wanting.
Basically, she was just abandoned by her family after WWIII, so she was forced to learn to survive.

The Thief

Alexander “Alex” Rennes

Twenty-one.

Male.

Image (http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/218/2/c/Garrett_by_ForestGirl.jpg), except in black attire.

Arrogant, sarcastic, neglectful. Alex's over-confidence has led him many troublesome paths, and even if he has managed to escape having to deal with harsh consequences every single time, he has learned nothing from his many near-death experiences. He disregards rules, disobeys elders, and lives his life as a thieving rogue.

When he was offered a share of the royal kingdom in exchange for the princess, he was quick to accept. Only when he had accepted and in verge of setting off to find the princess did the sorceress notify him of the consequence in case of failure. From that point on, there was no returning without the princess, which he understood very clearly. Fortunately for him, finding the female had been an easy task.

That is, whom he thought to be the princess.

Diane Karlen

Twenty.

Female.

Photograph (http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lhn14x9hb01qcii64o1_400.jpg).

Responsible, studious, authoritative. For Diane, her future is of most importance to her at the moment. She's a very responsible and honest female who loves to write and read. At times, she delves so deep into her studies that other things such as family and friends appear as mere side-notes.

Telekinesis - ability to manipulate and control objects with the mind, often in ways not visible to the naked eye.

These "powers", these "abilities" - she despises them, no matter their use. She never requested nor wanted them. So far, they've been doing a fabulous job of ruining her life. They're for fairy-tales and fiction books, they don't belong in the real world. Alas, Diane didn't have a choice. For some.. unexplainable reason that she cannot even begin to fathom, the powers have run in her family for generations. She's heard of other people who are "abnormal", but has never met anyone. Hell, maybe she has, there's no way of telling.

In an attempt to lead a regular life, Diane neglects and hides her powers as much as possible. She holds a job as a professor in a community college and gets by without saying anything to anyone about telekinesis.

After the incident in NYC - her home - the option of staying was no longer available. So, she boarded a train to Virginia as soon as the secret was out. Virginia, because she has relatives there.
