The Story So Far

Here is where the tale truly begins, in one of many small kingdoms that dotted the English countryside during the medieval period. In the time of King Leuric, the land of Devonshire knew peace and prosperity over the course of his reign: a happiness only recently challenged with the loss of his beloved queen to pleurisy. Burdened and vulnerable after the queen's death, the king ultimately sought comfort in a foolish love with the enigmatic Lady Estrelda of Wulfric, a powerful sorceress born to a long line of Wulfric witches. But unknown to King Leuric, the love he thought he felt for the lady was in fact the result of a spell, a ploy by the ambitious Lady Wulfric to seduce the king so as to become queen herself.

As time passed the king became progressively more withdrawn, barely spending any of his time with anyone other than Lady Wulfric. His children, Princess Maeve and Prince Oswyn, grew particularly worried by this change in their father, and at their insistence a faithful servant was sent to spy on Lady Wulfric to uncover her true intentions. What the servant discovered shocked him thoroughly; not only did Lady Wulfric take a lover of her own, having only sought out King Leuric for his political power, but the lover had also divulged to her a secret formula for a potion that would bestow unimaginable power upon the drinker. With the power granted them by regular doses of the formula, Lady Wulfric and her lover would go on to become the world's first supervillains, and between them a conspiracy arose to overwhelm and conquer Devonshire once and for all.

Determined to maintain hope in spite of this terrible news, the servant stole some of the lovers' potion before returning to the castle, consuming some of it for himself and giving doses of it to the prince and princess as well; the three of them became the first superheroes. Not long after this, the royal siblings revealed Lady Wulfric's treachery to the king, who furiously banished her from Devonshire. Livid over her exile and shocked at the theft of her formula, Lady Wulfric vowed to see the heroes dead at her feet, and with the aid of her lover she proceeded to gather an army in order to accomplish this. Doses of her lover's formula were given to the most loyal of those gathered, with whom she would lead the charge against Devonshire.

Meanwhile, the royal mages of Devonshire worked tirelessly to break down the elements of the strange potion. It was a slow success, but eventually they managed to duplicate the recipe which, at the king's request, was never given or disclosed to anyone without his direct approval. Years passed, with villains and heroes alike gradually increasing in number as the ensuing war between them raged on.

Eventually the time came for Prince Oswyn to marry, and at his bride's request he agreed to give her a share of the mysterious potion after their wedding. They worked especially well together, with the new princess slowly but surely earning herself a place among the first heroes, and not a single person in Devonshire did not attend the ceremony when she bore her and Oswyn's first child: a young boy who was revealed to have powers of his own!

This, incidentally, would mark the start of an end to the war on Devonshire. When news of Prince Oswyn's child reached Lady Wulfric, she and her lover did not hesitate to interrupt the celebration upon arrival, immobilizing the prince and his wife before setting upon the boy in his cradle. In desperation, Princess Maeve fought off both of them herself, and she died protecting the child as the entire court looked on in terror. Enraged, Prince Oswyn tore free of his bonds and slew Lady Wulfric's lover in the following duel, while the king ordered the other heroes to close in on Lady Wulfric, who knelt weeping beside her lover's body.

Through her tears, Lady Wulfric shouted one final curse at Prince Oswyn, before then using her lover's sword to take her own life:

I and my allies will rise again
To claim the power we crave
When one who mixes your blood with mine
Shall call us from the grave...

Nearly 1,000 years have passed since the threats of old; without Lady Wulfric or her lover to lead them, the remaining First Villains were eradicated in short order, and virtually all knowledge of the original formula has long since faded with time. But its ultimate effect on the world has not faded, as both heroes and villains continue to flourish in the modern era, most notably with the aid of the fabled Sky High school for superheroes.

Most importantly it is now, as Will Stronghold and his friends are entering their sophomore year at Sky High, that a select few of these modern villains are preparing to fulfill Lady Wulfric's curse by commencing a search for the descendant of both her bloodline and that of Prince Oswyn: the one whom Lady Wulfric foretold would call her and the other First Villains from the grave and unleash their evil conquest on the world once again...

Rules of the RP

++ As far as rating is concerned, I'm hoping for a rating as close to PG as possible, primarily because that was the rating of the original movie, but my absolute limit is PG-13. Any content at a higher level than PG-13 will not be tolerated, so plan accordingly.

++ This should go without saying but, godmoding and powerplaying are also big fat no-no's here. Even Superman is not invincible, so don't try to pretend that you are by unrealistically avoiding damage. Likewise, to automatically hit or otherwise influence someone else's character without the owner's permission and/or without giving them a reasonable chance to avoid it is unfair to the player in question, and as such will not be allowed.

++ Seeing how this is a fan-based RP, I must emphasize the importance of keeping canons in-character. Do research if you must, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions whatsoever, but don't claim a canon just to toss their characterization out the proverbial window. To enforce this, anyone wishing to join as a canon MUST send me an RP sample for that canon, and said sample shall be no less than one paragraph long.

++ For the sake of simplicity, please write your posts in third-person story format. On that note, I do ask for some degree of literacy. Don't get me wrong; a few typos or misspelled words here and there are not usually problematic, but make sure that other readers can understand what you're writing. (Chatspeak is also generally discouraged for this reason.)

++ Be as active as you can, that's all I ask for in the activity department. If something comes up in real life or wherever and you can't post, please let us know as soon as possible.

++ At the bottom of this post is a spoiler with a password in it. PM me your profile(s) and/or your chosen canon(s) with that password as the subject, so I'll know you read the rules.

Power(s): Lady Wulfric is said to have commanded great magical powers even before drinking her lover's potion. Her magic was greatly enhanced through regular dosage of the formula, and she is said to have harnessed power over wind and lightning as a result. Whether or not she developed any other powers is unknown.

Personality: Ruthless, ambitious, and vengeful toward real and perceived slights alike. She is known to have only shown genuine care and respect toward her beloved, whose death at Prince Oswyn's hand reportedly drove her to madness.

Other Notes: The location of Lady Wulfric's remains, as well as those of her lover, remains a mystery. It is said King Leuric had both of their bodies quartered as punishment for their crimes against Devonshire, but investigations into the supposed burial sites have yielded nothing.

Personality: Monica keeps to herself most of the time unless approached by someone else; she's not necessarily shy, but she simply sees no purpose in approaching others for no reason. Once she opens up, however, she can be very friendly and easygoing, and she is also quite fond of reading.

Small Bio: As a child, Monica was frequently sent on small vacations to her grandmother's home in Devon, England, particularly while her parents and their allies were away battling evils in unknown dimensions. During these visits, her grandmother used to tell her stories of Prince Oswyn and his exploits in the kingdom of Devonshire, which she originally dismissed as fairy tales and nothing more. When she was nine years old, however, she saw for herself the ruins of an old castle during a drive through the countryside, which bore a striking resemblance to the one in which the prince supposedly lived. Excited, she then asked her grandmother to take her there, unaware of the structure's past. Her grandmother hesitated, but agreed to take her to visit the castle, but not before instructing Monica never to tell anyone of the castle's location or anything she might find there.
Once they were safely alone together in the castle, Monica's grandmother freely explained to her that the stories of Prince Oswyn were all true; her grandmother's sapphire pendant, she also learned, had King Leuric's coat of arms engraved on the back. This discovery both thrilled and terrified Monica, as it also meant that Lady Wulfric, the villainess in most of her grandmother's stories, was also real. Because of this, she kept her word never to disclose this secret to anyone, and in turn her grandmother agreed to teach her as much as she could about the magical arts.
As Monica grew into her own powers, however, her grandmother came to realize that the magic lessons would not be enough to prepare Monica for what she might need to face, and at her request Monica's parents enrolled her at Sky High.

Other Notes: Monica also has a pet kitten, Wiseguy (http://www.thecutereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/white-kitten.jpg), who has a bad habit of sneaking into Monica's backpack, traveling with her to school, and exploring the school on his own while she attends her classes. Luckily for her he's usually smart enough to stay hidden during these little escapades, but he has been caught on a few occasions over the years, much to the annoyance of some and the amusement of others.
She is a descendant of the royal family of Devonshire, but this is a well-guarded secret between her and her grandmother.

Appearance: Max stand at 5'91/4" and weighs aroung 200 pounds all muscle. His hair is brown and always in a buzz cut, he hates his any longer than that. His eyes are a bright blue and he keeps his face clean shaven. His body is well toned after years of training to make up for his lack of offensive powers. Max's skin has a healthy tan. His apperal is ususally dark jeans. With jeans he wears t-shirts andsometimes a dress shirt and a skinny tie with a fedora. Often seen on him are chains and spiked bracelets and leather armbands. On his chest above his heart is a bar code tattoo with 0117983452 below it.

Personality: Max has a strong will and a large chip on his shoulder. He's angry because of the class he was put into. He looks down on people in the hero class because he know he could do more than they ever could without having the ability to fly, throw cars and all that. But that doesn't mean he's not friendly. Max is actually pretty funny and is known for his jokes and pop-culture references. Some find him annoying but the others find him hilarious.

Small Bio: Max was a orphan for six years, he had the classic cliche left on the doorstep story. The only item with him was a silver armband, clearly to small for him at the time, in the center was a strange crest and it had strange markings around it. He was adopted by Dr. Wilson. Wilson was looking for recruits for his super soldier mercenary program, a team of heros called S.W.A.A.T. which stands for Speacil Weapons and Abilities Team. But Max didn't have powers, just like his other recruits. So Max underwent genetic manipulation, that worked though only partially. He got super healing like the others like he was supposed to but not the ability to control earth, which would've been his super power. Either way Dr. Wilson decided to keep Max and offically adopt him. He was given the codename Immortal. He joined Rose, whose real name was Maria, a Latin woman who could turn invisible. Zero, real name John, a Native Amaerican who was super strong. Highlander, real name Graham, a Scottish telekinetic. Yin and Yang, Yuki and Yumi twin Asian sisters, who could teleport and command fire respectively. And finally 30k, real name Jack, who was an African American who controlled Lightning. Max was jealous of his family, they had powers and he didn't, so he trained himself harder than the others, mastered forms of martial arts such as CQC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_quarters_combat), Ninjutsu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninjutsu), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_Jiu-Jitsu) and Muy Tai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muy_Thai), improving his markmenship and blade skills to cover for his fault. He also studied Parkour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour) and Free Running (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_running). Because of his healing factor he bulked up quickly because his muscles were healing as soon as they broke apart. At seventeen he could lift up to as much as 500 pounds, though that was no where near as super as other hero's. Screwing up a mission when he was thirteen prompted his enrollment in Sky High and he was put in the Sidekick class, because he could only heal himself.

Potentiality: A power that is near useless too him personally it allows him to unlock the true hidden potential of any individual or object he has time to use this ability on. He does not need their willing co-operation in order to unlock their hidden potentials. Since he cannot do this to himself he prefers to use special objects and artefacts that he taps into.

Weapon(s):
Fists of the Primal Power: Special metal gauntlets he uses to fight with, they don't give him super strength as the name would suggest, instead with each hit he lands he takes away a targets reasoning abilities and overall intellect. The effect however is limited and wears off after a short while.

Civilian Occupation: Works through a museum as a historian, despite having little real interest in actual history he uses this as a means of hopefully procuring more powerful items to make himself more powerful than he is now.

Appearance: Terrance is an unassuming man with short wavy black hair and a clean shaven face. He has brown eyes with flecks of green in them. He stands at 5'9 and is slim, nearly gaunt looking. During his civilian time he looks like a history proffessor straight out of the books with light brown casual pants with a small black belt and a cream turtlekneck sweater over a white shirt. He wears glasses, but they are just for show since he has uncomprimised vision.

As scourge however he wears a black cloak over a simple black fabric costume. Wears a black masquerade mask under the cloak.

Personality: Reserved, intelligent and not without a bit of charm and wit. Generally speaking gets along well with his peers, but more as a way to maintain his identity as the boring and normal Terrance.

Bio: Terrance grew up in a wealthy household that dealt in history mostly, so it surprised no one when he expressed an interest in a career in history. He had a loving upbringing with his parents remaining ignorant of his abilities and their dark lineage. He maintains a good relationship with his parents but insists on keeping his independence from them as important to himself. During his schooling years he came into his powers when he musing over an old artifact, and watched as it sprung to life in his hands. he kept this a secret, but checked to make sure it wasn't a once off event or that something else had caused it. As the years went on and he found himself comfortable in his career in this field he begun to discover his own dark history and that he was in danger due to this fact. He spent his time constructing his new persona as Scourge, promising to himself that any who threatened him would face a scourge they had not counted on. He holds no illusions that what he does in stealing artifacts and breaking into restricted areas in a pursuit of personal power is just, but he holds the firm belief that it must be done.

Other Notes: He is a descendant of Lady Estrelda, and among his collection he has a bracer with the family crest on it as proof of his lineage.

Personality: Friendly but cautious. Mischievous at times.

Small Bio: From the moment she was born it was apparent that she would not be leading a normal life. She was born with no pigment in her skin or hair, otherwise known as an albino, but this was the least of her issues. It was readily noticed that she was non-responsive to visual stimuli. Unable to bear the condition of their child, her parents left her with an orphanage at six months of age. She grew up within the orphanage not making many friends, again due to her "defective" condition. This never deterred her spirit though and she was a cheerful young girl who quickly adapted to her blindness. By the age of eight she was reading as many books as the orphanage could manage to find in braille and showed an eagerness for learning. At the age of ten her world changed, latent neurons within her mind started to awaken. Her psionic abilities slowly emerged and she managed to keep them to herself already feeling like an outcast among the other children at the orphanage. By the age of fourteen her abilities were fully developed and she found the she was able to see the world in a whole new way. She could see people, but not in a visual way. She could not tell what they looked like physically, but could tell each the other children and adults apart by using her own mind. This excited her and she began to explore what else her mind could do in the privacy of her room each night.
For four years she kept her abilities secret, training herself the best she could. Now at the age of eighteen she was being forced to leave the orphanage. As she was making arrangements to find a place to live on her own, one of the caretakers approached her and informed her that they knew about her abilities. They had seen her practicing various abilities in her room two years back during a routine room check at night. They informed her about Sky High and though she was already eighteen, they might be willing to take her in as a senior - under the pretense of transferring from a normal high school - and thereby help give her a direction she could travel in now that she couldn't stay at the orphanage any longer. With that she set off for Sky High.

They rushed Tag and one grabbed him and held him down. His power then activated and he teleported to the other side of the room. He was suprised. The group of theives ran out of the house freaked about what they saw. Jack told Armon about the experience when he returned. Ever since he had trained with his powers, and when he was 15 he went to Sky high because Armon wanted him to.
