Howard couldn’t be sure what annoyed him more at this moment. That he felt he was being treated as little more than a lackey due to Manhattan telling him to relay a message and get the Fantastic force together. Or the fact that he had run out of cigars. Most likely, it was the latter, especially after having a conversation with Manhattan, whom he found to be rather cryptic at times; something which annoyed Howard to no end.

Often Howard had to remind himself of the reasons he was here. It wasn’t so much due to him being pulled through time and space to land on a world full of naked apes. After all, this was something he had no control over. And despite numerous efforts to get back to Duck World, he had finally come to grips with the fact that this world was his home now; though not by his own choice.

Of course though, it was thanks to Bev and Winda that he was content to be here. He could keep them safe and being a part of the Fantastic Force made this all the more easy. It was for them, his friends, that he had joined up and became registered. Mind you, he felt that registering was a little silly given that he was the only walking, talking duck on this world that he knew of. Still he understood the reasoning behind it and was happy, for the most part, to do his part.

The events at Stanford had been a tragedy and Howard knew that war was inevitable, at least that was Supes had told him before he had to go off world. The only thing he didn’t understand why Manhattan had wanted him to brief the others. Surely he would have been more qualified to do it, but as it was, Howard thought it better to just do what he was told.

As Howard exited the elevator and entered the lunge, the craving for a nice stogie hit him hard and he sighed as he sat down in front of the intercom.

‘Hey everybody,” Howard’s voice echoed through the halls of Stark Tower. “Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge. And could somebody bring me a cigar?”

"Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge."

Red Hood lingered in the ornate atrium of Stark Towers. He considered leaving. It'd be easy enough. All he had to do was step right back out and go back into hiding, forget all of this registration nonsense.

But he didn't. Part of him wanted to go through with this. Maybe it was the Robin mantle that made him or maybe it was because he felt the registration act had it's merits. Perhaps it really was time to start reeling in all of the would-be heroes--especially the superhumans--and start a systematic cleansing of all the scum.

This, of course, like all other attempts to create lasting peace, was only an idealistic pipe dream. At any rate, it'd probably be best to ride this out while it lasted. If nothing else, he'd see some action.

Red Hood pushed his way through the security check point, barging his way past a guard manning the metal detector.

Hey! You can-t-

He turned on his heel and in a flash had both sidearms pointed in the guard's face. "Don't be stupid, you know why im here." Christ, you'd think the RED MASK would have clued him in. He turned around, reholstering the weapons in a single motion and took a step foward. Then he jerked to a stop and glanced back. "Oh! Where's the lounge?"

The man gingerly pointed the direction with a shakey finger.

"Thanks."

Rorschach’s Journal, November 2012:

The end is nigh. Watch city from large window in new prison. Unchanging human wreckage walk the streets, waiting for Armageddon in total apathy. Civil war looms on horizon and scum fills every crevice of this awful city. No one cares. Too concerned with pornographic costumes and attention seeking tactics. Too busy fighting one another.

Forced into registration after arrest. Very bad. New prison one of decadence and false hope. Liberals and whores dressed in tight clothing, obsessed with regaining past glory. Costumed heroes holding vendettas against other costumed heroes. Stupid. Petty. None concerned with inner decay of the city. Must use own tactics to fight the human cockroaches. Must find way to regain anonymity. I will not compromise in this.

“Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge. And could somebody bring me a cigar?”

“Hehn…” Rorschach grunted, closing his journal with a snap. He didn’t appreciate being called on like a prostitute any time the Stark Tower elite felt it necessary. Instead, he would have rather been out walking the filthy streets, finding the information he needed by mingling with the city bottom-feeders. The smallest finger on a person’s hand was all one needed to gain some insight.

The majority of the group however, too soft to get their hands dirty in seedy bars and alleyways, preferred long meetings with plenty of talking and not so much action. It seemed like a publicity stunt at best, an ego stroking seminar at worst.

Rising from his desk, he pushed aside the various dirty dishes and empty cans to place the journal down next to his pen. With a minor adjustment to his hat and gloves, Rorschach left his room and headed towards the lounge area, his mood dark.

Tanya Sealy, or Mamba, as she preferred to be called, was deep in thought, or rather reminiscense, almost meditating under the warm, incessant flow of the shower when she heard the announcement loudly and clearly over the intercom.

" “Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge. And could somebody bring me a cigar?”

The tall, dark haired woman rolled her eyes at the casual order, and cut the water off, grabbing a towel from the rack nearby as she stepped out from the cubicle. She dressed quickly, donning the tight-fitting, black and green body suit she was known for. What was the point in dressing like a normal, when everybody knew exactly who you were anyway? She had always preferred the super side of herself, and now she had no reason to be anyone else.

Leaving her quarters on the 99th floor, the Black Mamba made her way quickly along the corridors, reaching the lounge before anyone else had done so. Only Howard, who had requested their presence, was already seated in the room, and she sat solitary on a chair a few feet from the desk where he was sitting.

Though she had been working alongside the Fantastic Force for some time now, there were still a few members who retained their suspicious, not all friendly attitude toward her, so she did not strike a conversation, merely sat and waited for the rest of them to arrive.
Besides that, no matter how many encounters she had with him, she just couldn't take Howard seriously.
He was a duck, for chrissakes.

“Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge. And could someone bring me a cigar?"

Selina looked around her room and put on her Catwoman suite.
These days Catwoman was becoming more and more dominant than her and... well, Selina liked it. Being a good girl her whole life hadn't gotten her anywhere, now that she had a bad side, everything seemed to be going in her favor.

As she zipped up the leather suit she grinned. She put on her mask and put her make-up on as though it was a fallen art. After she was ready she looked herself in the mirror and purred softly, with satisfaction. She opened the top left drawer and pulled out a Cuban cigar for Howard.

She grabbed her whip then headed down to the lounge. She placed the cigar in her mouth as she rolled up the whip to attach it to her belt. She walked up the security and winked at the men running it. "Hello, boys." She grinned with the cigar still placed between her lips.

She walked through the metal detector, as the alarm went off the two men smiled, "We'll need to search you." One said. Catwoman laughed and turned to him. "In your dreams. The only lethal weapon on me is my temper." She grinned and turned to keep walking, keeping the cigar safe for her... whatever he was to her. She was not so fond of the thought of taking orders from a duck.

Oh look at this! These boxes allow me to throw in text whenever I want! How... quaint *cough cough* I guess I should let the rest of this post appear to you readers in 3rd person. Wouldn't wanna let too much cat out of the bag! Not yet at least!

As inviting and open Stark Tower's lobby was, there was a tight security to make sure not just anyone off the streets could wonder in the base which held the likes of Superman, Dr. Manhattan, and many other well known heroic heros of heroism. So one can only imagine the suspicion aroused by the entrance of a certain figure completely hidden by a trench coat and hat.

As the suspicious figure approached the security metal detector, he was immediately stopped.

"Sir, what's your business here..." the security guard asked sternly, putting his hand to stop the character in his tracks.

The suspicious character took a sliding step back while pointing upwards, "Gotta appointment with a... Duck?" he muffled, his voice being blocked by the neck of his trench coat.

"Could you please remove your coat sir?" the guard asked, holding his arm out to take hold of the character's coat.

Taking yet another step back to avoid being touched by the security guard, he flipped his arms up to his neck, as if he was getting ready to put on a fashion show. After 2 seconds of posing, he whipped off his trench coat, throwing it on the floor only to reveal... ANOTHER trench coat.

The security guard had ran out of patience, and signalled to his fellow guards behind the character to forcefully remove the character's second coat. Forcefully grabbing the character from behind, they were able to slip his second coat off, which also knocked off his hat to reveal who he was.

"... Christ" the guard muttered as The Mask stood in front of everyone in a bright yellow zoot suit.

The Mask grinned, "Awwwww, is THAT the way to greet your newest employee?" he slid around towards the two security guards who removed his jacket, "Or perhaps you were just trying to give me a great. big. hug!"

As the two guards stepped away from the Mask, the original security boss man pointed at The Mask, "Alright Mask... just step through this metal detector and you'll be on your way."

The Mask flipped around once again and began to casually walk through the archway that was the metal detector. As the mask walked through, the metal detector suddenly began to smoke before suddenly exploding.

"Ugh..." The Mask sighed while reaching into his pocket, "I knew I should have checked these nail clippers... HAHA OH WELL!" He quickly waved goodbye to his now frantic team of security guards before sliding his way into the elevator.

Stopping at the appropriate floor, he jumped out of the elevator while bidding his terrified fellow elevator occupants "adieu" before hatefully walking towards the lounge. It was then when he spotted a rather womanly figure in a tight leather costume wearing a Cat mask. She had a cuban cigar in her mouth, this was the jackpot.

He quickly zipped towards her, instead of his yellow zoot suit he was now wearing a very stereotypical french outfit which consisted of a french beret, black and white striped shirt, red scarf and tight black pants. He grabbed Catwoman and knelt her down as if they were posing for a badly written romance film poster.

"Bonjour ma petite chatte!" he grinned, waiting for Catwoman's response... which will most likely involve getting a claw in the face.

Catwoman hissed looking at the Mask. She decided to have fun with this one. "Well, well. It's been a long time since a man was able to sweep me off my feet." She grinned and ran a single claw down his face gently. "The name's Catwoman, monsieur." She wrapped her arms around him and tossed him over her head then took out her whip and smiled. "And might I suggest that you don't do that again!" She hissed again. She picked up the fallen cigar and winked at the Mask before continuing to the lounge.

The Mask grinned widely as Catwoman teased him by gliding her claw down his face, only to be met with some sort of suplex. He was thrown overtop and crashed into a wall, making somewhat of a large hole. Stretching and pulling himself out of the hole in the wall, he quickly dusted himself off before returning to the feet of Catwoman.

"But ma petite chaufleur!" he replied, kneeling, in a french accent, "I cannot contain ze lust de mon coeur!" while whipping out a rose and clutching in his teeth. "Madame, ve shall DANSE!"

The Mask shot to his feet with much confidence before clapping to trigger the music. Where the music came from, no one really knew...

Le Masque twirled towards Catwoman before lustfully grabbing her. He then proceeded to dance the waltz with Catwoman towards the lounge

"Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge, and could someone bring me a cigar?"

The Duck, who went by the name of Howard, had spoken, and thus Eddie Brock stood from reading the day's newspaper and threw it on the nearby side-table. He then walked up to the guards, only to laugh at what had happened. The Mask was certainly a character, and what he did had caused Eddie to look up from his paper and smile. He might be a good guy now, but watching the guards receive daily amounts of hell still made Eddie smile with delight.

"Hey boys," said Eddie with his sarcastic tone of voice as one of the guards came up to him and patted him down. He then motioned that Eddie could continue on his way as Eddie proceeded anyways, not really caring at this point. He might hear about it later, but meh, he didn't care. The Fantastic Force needed him. He didn't them. He could have gone to the Secret Defenders easily, but since he was registered, he didn't have much of a choice. Plus, the Fantastic Force had the funds and the government on their side. That, if anything, should make anyone join up. Surprisingly, that wasn't the case.

"A new beginning, that was what I really wanted," said Eddie to no one but himself, well him and something else...

"Do you really want that? Are you sure? I mean, everyone remembers you for-"

"Be quiet."

"Fine. Just remember what they know you for."

"I know Venom. I know," said Eddie to the being that spoke inside his head only. The being is the symbiote that gives Eddie his powers. Ths was what made Eddie into the Lethal Protector, Venom. Eventually, Eddie stopped in his tracks when he heard... Music. Or rather a poor excuse for it. He kept walking until he found The Mask in a very bad French outfit dancing with Catwoman...

"I really don't want to know how this happened, but I don't know how everyone else react to this rather tasteless choice in music."

That was all needed to be said as Eddie just walked past and to the lounge, taking a seat close to the door.

"Eddie Brock, reporting."

Catwoman got angry this time and was not ready to play this game. She slapped him, making sure her claws did a good amount of damage to him. "Romeo, that was your warning. Next time, I won't be as nice." She shoved away from him and walked to Howard, handing him a cigar. "There you go." She smiled then walked to an empty seat, making sure there was no room for The Mask.

An explosion rang out from the training room as Zatanna caused one of the robots in the training session to explode. She had pointed her wand at the unsuspecting robot and had spoken the word "edolpxe" causing a ribbon of sparks to shoot from the tip of the wand. The other four robots simply looked at her and charged up their particle beam cannons. A smile crossed Zatanna's face.

She was rather enjoying taking apart the robots Tony Stark had supplied her with, in fact the entire Stark Tower was a rather comfortable base of operations.

"Tcelfer," she said waving her wand casually. The particle beams hit a wall of reflective energy and bounced back at the robots, causing them to shatter into millions of small pieces. She turned her attention to the last few robots and was about to finish them off when a familiar voice rang out over the intercom.

"Hey everybody,” Howard’s voice echoed in the training room. “Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge. And could somebody bring me a cigar?”

Zatanna turned her attention away from the robots and placed her wand in a holster on her waist. She scurried out of the training session, but not before disengaging the simulation she had been a part of. She could only wonder what Howard wanted, but she had no reason to suspect anything as she strutted down the halls of stark tower heading toward the lounge. As she walked, her hair bounced freely and her waist swayed back and forth with the rhythm of her walk. As she strutted, she noticed Catwoman and the Mask waltzing towards the lounge. She rather disliked the Mask as he seemed to be the type that never took anything seriously and for goodness sake his face was just hideous. It made her smile to see Catwoman slap the taste out of the Mask's mouth and walk into the lounge.

She followed behind and entered into the lounge. She noticed Mamba sitting, waiting for them it seemed and noticed Catwoman taking her seat as well. She remembered that Mamba didn't receive an all too kind welcome from all of the members of the Fantastic Force when she joined, but Zatanna showed no hatred towards her and in fact considered her an ally.

She strutted in and smiled at Mamba and Catwoman.

"Buenas señoras por la noche," Zatanna said nodding in Catwoman and Mamba's direction. She looked in Harold's direction, "¿cómo estás?"

She enjoyed speaking in different languages from time to time, it kept her up on her skills. She sat down in an empty seat a few feet from the desk and crossed her legs as she waited.

As soon as Catwoman's claws came into contact with his face, the music suddenly stopped at The Mask painfully grasped his face in pain.

"GRAAAAAAA!!!!! AAAAGGGGH... AGGh...agh... Gah.. GAAAAAHH OH... OH GOD... OH GOD OF GODS... GAHHH... GAHAHAHAHA... GAWAHWAHWAHWAH!" he shouted, obviously milking everything for what it was worth. Evidentially no one gave a damn for The Mask's well being, and probably for good reason.

As The Mask entered the meeting room, people could see he returned to his original yellow zoot suit. His entire face was wrapped in what appeared to be thick bandages, but there was way too much, and the bandages covered his entire face which almost prevents one to breathe.

"MhmmmmhmmmmMMmmMmmrrhrmrmmmmrhm!" The Mask stated as he sat down, obviously his bandages obstructing his ability to speak properly.

As he sat down, he reached into his pocket to pull out what appeared to be a Brazilian Cigar. He shoved the cigar between the small gaps of his bandages so he could hold it in his mouth. As of now, The Masked looked like a mummified gangster with a cigar in his mouth, which looked quite ridiculous.

"Mmmmfffmphfffmmmphmm!!" The Masked asked as he leaned towards Howard... of course no one understood what he actually said.

Red Hood walked into the room just in time to see the tuft between Selina and...whoever he was. Then he laid eyes on the one who apparently called them up. A duck and fighting children....

"Are you fucking kidding me? This is a fucking circus." He laughed out loud as he made his way to the farthest corner of the room. He was almost offended that his time would be wasted in such a manner. This, however, was far too amusing to get upset at. "I was actually contemplating leaving! I can't now! Barnum and Baily is in town."

He pulled his seat to the back wall, realizing he wasn't alone in his sentiment to be far from the craziness.

"Nice mask." Trippy.

Tony Stark leaned back in the chair of his office, placed his feet on the desk and closed his eyes. He had just started to doze off when a voice came over the intercom.

"‘Hey everybody,” he heard Howard say. “Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge. And could somebody bring me a cigar?”

He jumped in his seat and rolled his eyes as he took his feet off the desk and stood up. He walked to an elevator and pressed the button to go down. He paced in front of the elevator doors for what seemed like an eternity, as the elevator was nowhere near the floor that he was on.

Maybe I shoul install some elevators that only go up to certain levels. One or two could go from the lobby to an upper floor, then one or two others going from that floor to the top floor. Then one elevator going from the lobby to the lower floors.

By now, the elevator had reached his floor, and Tony stepped in and pressed one of the buttons to take him to the lounge. The doors closed and the elevator began to go down. After a few moments, the elevator stopped and the doors opened, and he stepped out.

He walked down the hall and found the lounge. Tony walked in and sat down, looking around at the seated members of the Fantastic Force. He looked around one more time then leaned back in the chair as he waited for the rest of the members to arrive.

Rorschach entered the room, only to see....the duck creature. "Ridiculous," he muttered to himself, leaning against the back wall. Dealing with Dr. Manhattan made him slightly immune to oddities, but he just couldn't take this one seriously. Whatever this meeting was about would hopefully be over quickly and without much argument. He was eager to walk the streets that night, do the dirty work no one else would. This was just a waste of time.

He scanned the room and peevishly noted the presence of the obnoxious green creature, several women, and the owner of the building. There was also a man sitting next to him, loudly complaining about their circumstances. His brazen attitude reminded Rorschach of the Comedian, someone he had always admired even while his soft friends were appalled by his moral lapses.

"Nice mask."

"HEY!" He called out loud. "When is this freak show gonna get started!? I don't have all fucking century! Oh I'm sorry.....Quack quack, quackity, quack!!"

Wonder Woman landed on top of the roof fluidly despite of the pouring rain. She was soaked, but regardless, she wanted the fresh air. Security guards greeted her with a smile as they opened the door for her, knowing well she meant no harm to the people at Stark Tower. She walked inside the elevator and went down to the lounging area.

Water droplets from the ends of her cape splashed on the floor, leading a minor trail to her room. When she entered inside, she unclasped the metal pendant and let the cape fall. She hung it to dry and grabbed a towel to wrap her hair with. Just as she finished, she heard the announcement:

‘Hey everybody,” Howard’s voice echoed through the halls of Stark Tower. “Could I get all of you to assemble in the lounge. And could somebody bring me a cigar?”

She sighed and unwrapped the towel from her hair. Howard was a nice individual, but… “I’m just not sure about that duck,” she said to herself as she quickly dried up. She was positive that others felt the same about Howard, who could take an animal seriously? A duck out of all things?

And why would Howard want a cigar? Since when did ducks smoke? Wonder Woman wondered these questions often, but alas, even with her own wisdom—she did not know. Once she was presentable, she left her quarters and proceeded to go to the lounge.

When she entered, almost everyone was there. She knew Rorschach was there; she didn’t even have to look at him. His stench gave himself away. Her nose twitched at the unpleasant odor, but she remained nonchalant about it. His lack of hygiene was something everyone had grown accustom too.

Ignoring the chaos and the immaturity, Wonder Woman smiled, “Hello everyone.”

Mamba smiled back at Zatanna as she entered and threw a greeting to catwoman and herself, though with her limited knowledge of Spanish her rough translation of the words ended up something like 'the good women at night,' she guessed a greeting was what it was.
The dark haired woman greeted the duck also, and sat down, followed closely by the Mask, whose' face was completely swathed in bandages. The fool gestured wildly toward Howard, asking for a lighter, Tanya guessed from the cigar that protruded from his bandaged mouth. A man Mamba had never seen before entered, his face also covered but here with a tight fitting red mask that completely covered his head, and sat near her, at the back of the room.
Wonder Woman swooped into the room with her usual collected greeting amidst the tomfoolery of the group, and that almost completed their little gathering.
Mamba said nothing, remaining silently in wait for the reason behind their meeting to be revealed.

As she sat there listening to all the complaining and disappointment that Red Mask voiced, she couldn't help but get annoyed. He hadn't even given the talking duck chance to inform them of the reason for their gathering. She shook her head and continued to listen until it became overbearing to her nerves. Finally, she spoke in a calm unnerving manner.

"If you don't mind Red Hood, I would love to know WHY we have been called here. I swear your immaturity level is so high it's staggering. If you'd just shut up and let the creature tell us why he's assembled us here it would ease my nerves," Zatanna stated having turned her attention fully on Red Hood. He was another who worked her nerves just as the Mask did, only thing different was that she didn't find Red Hood repulsive.

After getting her point across with her piercing ice blue eyes, she turned her attention back to Howard and recrossed her legs.

Eddie had turned to the various poeple in the room as they came in, smirking whenever one made a joke or whatnot. He then looked over at the group and sighed, finally taking the seriousness of this situation in. He then looked around and cleared his throat before speaking.

"Shut your damn mouths! Now please Howard, can we find out what it is we're doing here? Some of us have other things to do, such as work. I got an interview with several government officials here soon."

With his piece said, Eddie sat back in his chair again, taking out a cigarette and lighting it, slowly taking puffs out of it as he waited.

Daredevil, as he was now known. Was sitting in his room, on his bed, stark naked when the call for the meeting came over the intercom. He shook his head. It was a wonder to him that Howard was a literal talking duck. Of course, when one lived in the world of Supers, just about anything was possible. Getting up from his seat, he pulled on some flexible under armor before stepping into and zipping up his suit. To this day, he still missed the sensation of sight, but not so much that he would wish his new abilities away.

Opening the door, and walking down to the elevator, he contemplated what his life was like these days. Evading the CIA for so long had been difficult, even if he was a hero. As a matter of fact, being a hero was probably the only thing keeping him alive. In his past, he hadn't even been a hero. He had been in the gray, always tiptoeing the line. Now he did this as a job of sorts. It paid the bills so to speak.

Reaching the elevator, he punched the button and rode it up to the meeting place. Upon walking out of the elevator, he set about identifying the people in the room. Of course, there was Howard the Duck. Daredevil could hear his feathers rustle. Wonder Woman was obvious. She simply put off a powerful presence. Zatanna.... was more difficult. He had to rely on his radio wave sense for that one. The mask was identifiable by the sheer stupidity of the noises he was making. The Red Mask was being an ass. Tony Stark was talking when he came into the room. Catwoman put off a pleasing aroma, one which Daredevil liked. Rorschach ... bothered Daredevil. His stench assaulted his nose and made him cringe. Mamba Daredevil knew would be attending,

Nodding to the various people in the room, he leaned against the wall and waited.

"Mphhmmmmmrrphpmmmph!" The Mask replied with delight as he pulled what appeared to be a bazooka from his jacket pocket. "MPhhmmphmpmmmm PHMPHMMMPMPMMM" he warned to the others as he pointed the rather large artillery weaponry towards the end of his unlit cigar.

"Mph..." one

"PHoo" two

"PHmmmm!" THREE!

*click*

A small dull flame clicked out of the enormous barrel of the Bazooka, lighting the tip of his cigar in result. Puffing on the flame's heat, smoke began to leak from the small gaps in The Mask's bandages, almost making it look as if his head was burning from within. He discarded the bazooka once his cigar was fully lit. It fell with a loud thud, making a small but noticeable dent in the marble flooring.

"Mmmmmm*cough*MPMHMMM!" The Mask expressed his delight

"Oh, boo hoo! Cry some more."

Red hood taunted as he fished a breathing apparatus from his belt. The small breathing mask vaporized a substance from a small canister screwed into it. He pressed the device over his nose and mouth and inhaled sharply the Ether within.

Ether. It was an enhancement he developed himself using Venom as a base compound. It did enhance strength, but nothing like Venom did; that was only a secondary side effect. It's true purpose was increasing the effectiveness of synaptic response to outside stimuli. It chemically enhances the speed and intensity of the reflex arc. The end result made him quicker, more agile, and shot his reflexes through the roof among other things.

Red Hood unscrewed the used canister and chucked the small metal capsule with all his might. The entire trajectory of the small projectile passed several people quite close, but touched no one. It rebounded off a wall, bounced off the table, and landed right in the trash can. Bulls Eye.

Catwoman looked around the room, Tony Stark caught her attention first. He was attractive and from what she had heard, was a bit of a bad boy, which was right up her ally. Next was Daredevil, he looked as though he was a mischievous one, also up her ally. Lastly, was the Red Hood, his looks and attitude drew her in more.

Looking at The Mask, she rolled her eyes. Now that one, he had guts. He had to give him credit for that, but he was on her nerves. The other women in the room were... well, there. She didn't have much interest in friends. But Selina, she wanted a semi normal life after her tragic accident and she was wanting some girl friends to talk to, like any other woman.

As the stragglers walked in, Rorschach sized up his new "allies" with scrutiny. Already there was argument and inanity amongst them, and he knew that this would probably end in chaotic disaster. Large groups like that always did. It happened before, and history had a way of repeating itself.

Lechery was apparent in several of the members, specifically the feline woman and the Mask, who was so ridiculous Rorschach barely took the time to acknowledge him. The air hung heavy with ego and overconfidence, another major flaw in the group dynamic. And he would never trust past villains looking for a clean slate. Being soft on criminals was something he was highly against - all evil deserved retribution, no matter what the circumstances.

His thoughts were interrupted by the presence of several more people, Wonder Woman included. He despised her whoreish outfit, but at least she didn't reek of unwarranted self importance. Nodding in response to her greeting, he wondered how much longer they would have to wait.

"Bout goddamn time..." Howard grunted as everyone entered and was accounted for. He hated waiting on people while doing other people's bidding. "So you're all probably wondering why I've gathered you all here... Well its-"

Howard was interrupted with the sudden presence of Superman entering the meeting room.

"Howard..." Superman interjected, wondering if he made it on time before Howard briefed the members yet. "Good, I've arrived on time!"

"You're the Goddamn Superman..." Howard sighed as he puffed on his cigar, "I'd be worried if you were late for anything. Anyways, mind explaining why you've interrupted me?"

The man of steel revealed a brown envelope and gave it to Howard as he approached the Duck. Howard opened the envelope and read the documents that was held within.

"Heh.." he chuckled after he finished reading them, "Well duck-haters, I've been reassigned to another mission. Thank God, not sure if I enjoy hanging out with a group like this..." he jeered, then gave a glare towards Red Hood.

As the Duck left the room, Superman stayed and explained. "Sorry for the delay, we've just received new intel that changes the missions a bit. We'll be sending someone down to explain your mission. I'm sure Mr. Stark will show you the proper facilities while you wait..."

Giving one last nod of encouragment to the group, the Man of Steel made his exit.

"IMA EAT THAT DUCK!" The Mask screamed just as Superman left, bursting out of his bandages. Unfortuantely when he did so, he found no duck to eat.

"Ugh... bummer! Well good thing I brought a spare!" he grinned as he pulled out a fully cooked duck from his pocket and placed it in the middle of the table. The Mask now looked like an enormous muscular viking with rediculous braids and horned helmet.

"MY COMRADES! WE DINE.. IN... A VERY NICE SETTING! I NAME THIS DUCK AFTER OUR FALLEN COMRADE HOWARD!" He chanted before ducking in the roasted duck.

"Someone in here finally did something useful."

And just when he was beginning to consider some form of explosive solution. He silently scolded himself for his lack of initiative and took another hit of Ether.

"But now this means more waiting." Red hood sighed. At least the duck was gone.

Catwoman let out a slight chuckle as Mask ate the duck but it vanished as quickly as it appeared.

"Someone in here finally did something useful."

"I agree." Catwoman didn't have a lot of patience and she was itching for some entertainment. She looked down at her claws and began to play with them, getting bits of Mask off of them.

"Sorry for the delay, we've just received new intel that changes the missions a bit. We'll be sending someone down to explain your mission. I'm sure Mr. Stark will show you the proper facilities while you wait..."

Zatanna sighed, but smiled and nodded as Superman exited the room. Soon after, the Mask spoke of eating poor Howard.

At first she was surprised by the actions of the Mask. She didn't know how to take him wanting to eat Howard. It was both funny and concerning. One could only wonder why the Mask would eat Howard being that the talking duck was such an oddity it had to be one of Ripley's best showcases, nevertheless, Zatanna simply shook her head and crossed her arms. After accessing the events at hand, she began to laugh softly. She didn't know who was going to inform them of the reason for their being called to the lounge. Whoever delivered the message, she hoped it wasn't another animal.

"No thank you Mask, I'd rather not eat duck at this point and time," Zatanna stated giggling a bit. As much as she wouldn't admit it, Zatanna was itching for some action. The robots in the training room weren't enough. She wanted to get her hands dirty, flex her muscles and round up some unregistered. She wanted to get out of the freaking tower and do what she joined the Fantastic Force to do.

"Noisivelet." The word slipped out of her mouth in an eerie fashion. Suddenly, smoke began to fill the room and mass in front of Zatanna. After a moment the smoke solidified into a television. She smiled and held out her hand as popcorn fell into it. A movie began to play on the television screen as she waited for the informant to arrive. She munched on the delicious popcorn and did it with seduction as she winked at the men in the room excluding the Mask as he repulsed her to no end.

The Sorcerer Supreme floated into the lunge where the others were waiting. He hasn’t intended to actually attend the meeting. Instead, he watched through the Orb of Agamotto, observing the events and the treatment which Howard received. And the more he watched, the more his disappointment grew. These were supposed to be heroes, and from what he had seen thus far, he was beginning to doubt if they had what it took to truly protect anyone. To him, for the most part, it was like watching a classroom full of unruly children, too self absorbed with their own egos to actually care for any lesser being.

“Life is series of tests and challenges,” Strange spoke calmly as he floated in the doorway with his legs crossed in front of him. “But the biggest challenges come from within ourselves. If we cannot control ourselves, how do we expect to control life and improve on it.” He floated over to where Howard had been sitting and hung in the air as he looked over each of the assembled members.

“Civil war is upon us,” Strange began. “Due to the events at Stanford, events I’m sure some of you are already aware of, the government has called for the registration of those who have super powers. Now while I do not agree with the government’s decision, I do understand their reasoning behind it.” Strange put his feet on the floor and placed his palms flat on the desk, looking at the group.

“The first order of business is for us to assist SHIELD in apprehending the remaining gangs in New York. We can expect resistance from them of course but I am confident that with the abilities each of you possess, there shouldn’t be too much of a problem with catching all of them.” When Strange finished speaking, he sat down and held out his hand. After a moment, a folder appeared, which he then opened and began to read. Once he was finished, he looked back to the group.

“The fugitive Nitro is to be considered of the highest priority,” Strange gave the group a serious look. “Although we don’t know his exact location we do know that he and his gang are in New York. Whomever should encounter him is to take him alive. We are confident that if we can take Nitro alive and bring him to justice for the crime committed at Stanford, it will do much to sway the public to our side.” Strange closed the folder and placed it on the table in front of him.

“Now are there any questions?”

Civil war?

Lost of trust?!

Government action!?!?

Need to work with SHIELD?!?!?!??!

Capture all gangs that are currently loose?!??!?!!?!??!?!?

All very serious issues at hand, and everyone in the room would be effected by whichever outcome arises in the next few days. Future generations were counting on the actions of these gathered here today, the very future of civilization required their victory. History has shown us that time and time again there has been great periods of turmoil and strife. Periods where all seemed dark, and there was little to hope for. However... with the combined efforts of The Fantastic Force and SHIELD, all of these dark and evil challenges shall be overcome! No rock shall be unturned! No sewer unchecked! No bar unvisited! No street undriven! No skyscraper unposed on! No dramatic entrance not taken! No one-liners not told! No rocket ship unflown! No moon unexploded! No finger unbroken! No-

Catwoman absorbed the information. She wasn't even happy that she was working with these so called heroes. Now she had to play nice with a whole new set of them? As annoyed as she was with this she thought it's be in her best interest to just grin and bare it. But she had no questions.

Hmph. While this man's message rang true, he wasn't brought here to be nice. Red Hood wouldn't be here without self-control, nor without those inner challenges of which he spoke.

Being brought back from the dead was the biggest shock, the most overwhelming trauma anyone could never imagine. Just to not be driven insane by the staggering mental effects of the Lazarus Pit's restorative powers, Red Hood had locked himself up in an abandoned Gotham building basement for a week and meditated without any food and very little water. Then he resurfaced in Gotham leading to a decrease in the gun population and gang activity to a point lower than it's ever been. And he didn't do it by being nice. He did it by killing all of Black Mask's generals and enforcers and taking over his territories.

Red Hood spoke up. "I can mobilize the New York chapter of my gang to start quieting the other gangs. It's smaller than the Gotham unit but they're some of my better soldiers." He was the leader of a crime organization that, while they still resorted to criminal activities, did so for the ultimate goal of keeping the amount of guns and drugs on the street low. He recruited guys who just wanted to fuck shit up. They had his code of rules to follow and those rules helped lead to cleaner streets. Those who deviated from his mission knew the consequences.

"As for Nitro: Where was he last seen? Who are his known associates? Who are his contacts; if he has a posse they gotta get their weapons from somewhere."

"Hrmm..." Rorschach stepped forward in response to Red Hood's questions. "Can hit up some old contacts. Squeeze people. Probably well known in local scum hang outs." No matter how loyal a henchman could be, a few broken appendages and they would be talking in no time. Not to mention he had made a reputation for himself in places known for their suspicious activities. Most people would sell out one of their own just to avoid a "discussion" with Rorschach.

"More gangs taken in, better chance of finding target." Pulling his face up just above his mouth and nose, he began to chew on a small, white sugar cube. Letting the wrapper drop to the floor, he replaced his mask and checked the time on his left wrist.

Young Billy Batson was nearly out of breath. Running as fast as he can, the young boy was finding his way through the corridors and the people. When all of the heroes had a call, the boy was still sleeping. He merely had time to put some clothes on while brushing his teeth and putting his shoes. He busted out of his room in the Stark Towers. This building was not new to him and he knew his way through it. With a “sorry” there and an “excuse me” over there, the young boy was hitting some people and making his way into the lounge. Midway, he realized how stupid he was. He could have just transform himself into his counterpart and get there really fast. But it was too late now. By the time he’d find an open space or a balcony somewhere and call upon the lightning, he would already get to the lounge as Billy Batson with both his teenage foot.

When he finally got to the lounge, breathing very heavily, he couldn’t go anywhere. There were people all around him and all he could see was people’s backs. Billy tried to catch his breath and relaxed, while looking for a way through the crowd. As he couldn’t find one, he started jumping to see what was happening but of course, he couldn’t see much. The boy wearing the red sweater took his courage in both hands as always and entered the crowd. He could hear Doctor Strange’s voice somewhere up front but was too occupied trying to find his way to be able to pay attention at what he was saying. Then he stopped talking and the grown-ups started asking questions and talking among themselves. Young Billy finally stopped and founded himself stuck. The good news was that now he had a better view of what was happening and as he was looking around him, he realized only now that right next to him was standing a fellow friend of his. He poked her twice on her back since that was as far as his arm could go. When Wonder Woman turned around and looked down, he smiled and greeted her.

"Hey Diana, what’s going on? Why is the Doctor talking?"

She felt almost humiliated to be part of a group whose heros egos were more powerful than their own abilities. She sighed with disappointment, it was best to ignore them and let them meddle in their petty disputes.

Though, she couldn't help but grin as Howard left; as much as she respected him, there was something so strange about listening to a duck. When Doctor Strange entered the room, she listened to his words carefully. Luckily, Red Hood had connections and Rorschach always found a way to get information. Wonder Woman nodded her head understandably; it truly seemed like the best way to find answers on this Nitro person.

'Now, we're thinking like a team,' she thought…she hoped.

When she felt the small tap on her back, she turned around to see who it was only to look down to see Billy. "Oh!" She smiled, "Hello Billy," she whispered to him.

"Hey Diana, what’s going on? Why is the Doctor talking?"

When he was talking loud, she placed an index finger on her lips to tell him to keep it down while the others were speaking. "We are discussing our first assignment," she responded to him in a soft tone, "Seems we are after a fugitive by the name of Nitro."

The name striked him as lightning often does. The name that was responsible for their situation. The name who made it all happen. The name that allowed these villains to make a big move against the superheroes. The name that discredited them. If it wasn't for him, they could still do justice the way they wanted, they would still be heroes and not some very special law officer. He did blamed him for what he did. Billy thought about the awful consequences of the incident. He remembered being at these funerals as a young boy, for superheroes were not welcomed that day. He pretented to be a friend of one of the school kids who had passed away. He remembered that day because he was all suit up. He had to ask Miss Dandy, her next door neighbour for help because he needed a suit and he needed to be clean and adjust the suit. But he also remembered that day because he saw so much sadness. He felt so much sadness. The families of the deceased decided to have one big funeral for all the kids. And on every single one of the family members faces, he saw mourning faces. He could have been any one of them, any one of these kids.

As far as he knew at the time, he was the only hero in disguise there. But Billy was sure there must have been other heroes in civilian clothes. After the new laws had passed concerning their identities, he knew who was there and who wasn't. And he knew the day of the funeral was the day an era was ending. Since that day, he became a public face. No more anonimity, no more hiding. Instead, he was a subject of controversy. As a boy, was he allowed to be a superhero and make life and death decisions concerning fellow Americans? They were all looking at the boy, and not the superhero. He was treated as a young boy who didn't know better. It was as all they did before did not count at all. It was easy to point fingers. On the other side, Billy found the other superhero quite supportive. They were drawn closer to each other, they were finally bound to work together to make things better. As they were doing just now.

Billy removed the hand he had previously put in front of his mouth when Wonder Woman told him to keep it down and whispered:

"Nitro...he's the bad guy from the Stanford incident. Finally, we are taking action to get him!"

Someone cleared his throat and looked straight down at him. Billy looked up and saw a set of insistant eyes laying down on him. He smiled, a little bit ashamed and apologized quietly. Then he turned his attention to Diana again and laughed a bit before saying to her with a really soft voice:

"We'll talk later, ok?"

So, Billy tried to focus more on the discussion, looking over shoulders and heads.

As she munched on her delicious butter popcorn and watched the show on television. She hadn't even noticed Doctor Strange when he floated ever so casually into the room, that is until he began to speak and she looked up. She felt embarrassed. Doctor Strange was one of her many idols, he was indeed a practitioner of magic just as she was and she was pretty sure he'd be willing to divulge some secrets to her if she ever needed some insight. Sighing at how embarrassed she felt, she quickly clapped her hands together causing the television and popcorn to vanish.

“Civil war is upon us,” Strange began. “Due to the events at Stanford, events I’m sure some of you are already aware of, the government has called for the registration of those who have super powers. Now while I do not agree with the government’s decision, I do understand their reasoning behind it.” Doctor Strange discontinued his eerie floating and allowed his feet to touch the ground. He then proceeded to place his palms on the hard wooden desk and looked up at them.

After a moment or so, a folder appeared in his hand. He opened it and studied it before reading. When he finished reading, he looked up at the group.

“The fugitive Nitro is to be considered of the highest priority,” Strange gave the group a serious look. “Although we don’t know his exact location we do know that he and his gang are in New York. Whomever should encounter him is to take him alive. We are confident that if we can take Nitro alive and bring him to justice for the crime committed at Stanford, it will do much to sway the public to our side.” Doctor Strange then closed the folder that had appeared in his hands moments before and placed it silently on the desk.

“Now are there any questions?”

Zatanna could have been giddy with excitement, but she held her composure and simply stared at Doctor Strange. If it had not been for his age she would have been totally attracted to him, but sadly she didn't feel a spark between them and simply sat there with her arms and legs crossed hoping someone else had a question.

Finally, the Mask spoke, but Zatanna knew he'd be the first to say something. What he said made her eye twitch with agony at attempting to fathom WHY in particular he joined the Fantastic Force to begin with. Catwoman had no questions it seemed, but the Red Hood broke the awkward silence that came after the Mask's ridiculous question. Of course Rorschach spoke after Red Hood. His awful smell caused Zatanna to scrounge up her nose every now and then but he seemed to have an awful distaste for women which could only lead to her wondering if he was homosexual. She'd find out later.

Smiling she shook her head and sat back in her seat before a boy walked in. She noticed him right away as he was the smallest thing in the room. He started talking to Diana or Wonder Woman as they called her, but Zatanna had to admit that his timing was extremely off. Zatanna smiled at little Billy. He was so small yet so eager to help and she'd protect him like a paternal mother would, just as she was sure Wonder Woman would, even though Young Billy probably didn't need any protecting.

She smiled at Billy and nodded before turning her attention back to Doctor Strange. He had questions to answer and she wanted to hear him answer them.

Tony sat and watched and listened to everything that was going on in the meeting. He forced himself to not sigh when Dr. Strange told them about their mission.

I guess I'll have to cancel my date, he thought with disappointment. Maybe I can reschedule it to after this mission is complete, whenever that may be. He looked around again and wondered if anyone was planning on saying anything else.

Daredevil thought about the events currently going on, and shook his head. It was somewhat obvious to him that somehow, the worst and the best of all aspects that super heroism could offer was thrown together in this group. Looking over the conglomerate, he studied each member. Each of them had their ups and downs, save for the mask. Lord only knew how that idiot had joined. More than likely, it was simply to keep him under check as could best be done, by those who could take him out. Taking the duck from The Mask, he tossed it down the garbage disposal before returning to his spot.

Wonderwoman.... and her general attitude, made Daredevil mentally flinch, as did Superman. Both were of the 'Old Gen', as some newer Supers would call it. This was the general category of first wave modern super heroes. The generational order was not a strict timeline per say, but more of a combination of how the Supers regarded life in general. Most of those under the Old Gen classification held an elitist attitude on the world in Daredevil's opinion. They were heroes born, not made. In general, at least in Daredevil's eyes, they were not bad people, but simply could not function in a changing world. All rocks could be worn away, even the indomitable Super Man and Woman.

When Billy entered the room, Daredevil turned on a mental dime. Having never met the boy before, he was surprised to see him at all. He was... an odd fellow to Daredevil. Daredevil’s first impression was 'willing and eager to prove him'. Of course, Daredevil didn’t show any of this on his face. Otherwise named, ‘Captain Marvel’, he was a younger superhero. While he didn’t look like much, Daredevil reserved judgment until another time. ‘Give the boy some time to prove himself,’ he thought.

Returning his mind to the matter at hand, he continued watching the others in the room. He didn’t approve of Rorschach’s and Red Mask’s methods. Stepping away from the wall, he said, “Now, while I do consent that certain… illicit characters may be able to provide assistance in the way of information, I won’t have your men whacking off the others Red Hood. Don’t look at me like I’m self righteous, I know what you’re thinking, regardless, its murder; punishable by the law, no matter if it’s to our benefit. Otherwise, I agree with your questions.”

Rather than even acknowledge that Mask had spoken, and resisting the urge to put a silence spell on him, Strange turned to the Red Hood.

“This is not a criminal operation,” he spoke calmly. “As such we will not have any need for your colleagues. Mr. Murdoch is right. Murder will not be condoned. All of the gangs, and their leaders, are to be taken alive.” Strange looked at the table and made a small motion with his hand. Instantly, a glass of water appeared, from which he promptly took a sip and cleared his throat.

“As for Nitro’s exact whereabouts,” Strange sighed. “He has gone deep underground. All of our efforts to locate him have thus far, failed. Both the Eye and Orb of Agomotto have been unable to locate him. As well, SHIELD’s satellites, and my own informants, have also been unsuccessful.” Strange glanced at Rorschach “I think for this we’re going to need a little bit of luck.” Strange cringed slightly as he said the word. Luck was never something he had based his life upon. Yet he did find it strange how often the element of chance seemed to intrude on the events around him.

“You all need to understand one thing,” Strange’s expression became more serious. “We need public favour on our side. And leaving a trail of bodies and committing crimes ourselves will not help our position. We need to prove that we are better than those who would kill and cause destruction.”

“As such we will not have any need for your colleagues. Mr. Murdoch is right. Murder will not be condoned. All of the gangs, and their leaders, are to be taken alive.”

"Understood."

“I think for this we’re going to need a little bit of luck.”

Red Hood stood abruptly in response to this statement. "There is no such thing as LUCK or CHANCE." He growled. "Those are just words. Words we give an event because we can't comprehend the complex chain of causes that concieve the effect." If anything was going to get done, they'd have to do it themselves; they need to stir things up. Red Hood left the room in the middle of Dr. Strange's lecture about public favor.

Red Hood walked away from the lounge and entered the nearest bathroom. It was empty. He raised his forearm and flipped up a metal flap on his gauntlet. A face filled the tiny screen.

"Sir?"

"Start mobilizing your men. Expand our territory into all other gang turf and capture all leaders and other high ranking members alive. Do whatever it takes."

"And everyone else,sir?"

"I don't care what you do with them. Just get it done. Keep me updated. Out."

Red Hood barged back into the room when he was done with his call and sat back down in his seat. He looked at the smelly man with the interesting mask.

"How well do you know your way around this city?"

AngelicAsylum

The look of disgust and disdain on Rorschach's face would have been obvious if not for the ever changing pattern of his skin. Keeping public favor? Nonsense. The public was full of vile rodents, scampering through the filth looking for their next meal. They were far too stupid, cowardly, and weak for him to care about their favor. Many were just as corrupt as those they were hunting, with what their impure thoughts and actions. No... he would not compromise himself just so that the scum and creeps would feel a sense of satisfaction.

He also did not trust S.H.I.E.L.D. or their satellites. Sitting at a computer watching a screen did nothing. Until he was able to do his own work his way, he felt vaguely anxious and dissatisfied. If this organization intended on holding him back from retribution, he would have to find a way out sooner than he was intending.

"How well do you know your way around this city?"

Rorschach turned to see the man in the red mask had returned from his absence. He could clearly see the majority of the group disliked this individual for his outspokenness, with the exception of a select few. Typical. Many seemed quick to anger when confronted with the truth. That was why the Comedian was so unpopular with so many.

"Better than most. Walked many streets, many times."

The seriousness of the matter was more then apparent to The Mask. Unfortunately, The Mask is rarely able to take anything seriously. The lack of any punishment for anything he does makes him a relentless tormenter.

"So we have to keep a good "public opinion" in the streets eh?" he grinned. "I must admit..." The Mask leaned against his chair, puffing on his cigar "I'm not the 'best' when it comes to public relations."

It was strange, seeing The Mask responding maturely and honestly.

leaning in to tap the ashes of his cigar in a small tray on the table, his expression lost it's smile and fell into a depth of a serious expose.

"I have an idea to fix that if an 'accident' were to happen." he reached into his pocket. "BALLOON ANIMALS!" he shouted as he pulled out what looked like a giraffe ballon animal, now back to sporting his signature maddening grin.

"I can make anything!" he declaired as he sat up from his chair. "You! Mr. Stark!" he pointed. "How would you like..." he pulled several red, silver and gold balloons from his pocket before violently twisting them into some sort of pattern. "A BALLOON IRONMAN SUIT!" he grinned as he presented a rather impressive 'Iron Man' balloon replica.

"It even has a flame thrower!" he shouted as large flames shot upwards from the small wrists of the balloon Iron Man.

Red Hood left the room once again when his communicator vibrated. He flipped it open.

"Yeah.."

"Sir, we've taken down a group of grunts. The gang calls themselves 'The Family'. Nothing too useful, but they say if we're to find anyone of importance to check out Di'Angelo's Italian Garden."

It was to any surprise why no one immediately stopped him incase he caused any structural damage to the room, or accidentally sets of the fire sprinklers. It was during that time when Red Hood returned into the meeting room. It seemed as if he had some sort of plan.

He pointed to Rorschach. "You. Come with me." He turned, looked at the Mask and hesitated. "...You,too."

Halting his actions with the Balloon Ironman flamethrower, he marched towards Tony Stark and handed him the Balloon replica of himself. "There ya go sonneh! You behave yerself ya hear!"

After ruffling Mr. Starks hair like an eager six year old, he headed towards Red Hood sporting his traditional zoot suit once again.

Rorschach didn't like being commanded like a puppet, but his only other option would be to sit with the softened costumed heroes and listen to them talk about keeping public favor. If he left at least there would be action rather than just idle chitchat, even with the Mask, irritating and boisterous as he may be.

Without a word, he stopped leaning against the back wall and took a few steps towards the odd duo, making it clear that he would be willing to pool his efforts with them.

"Yes..something very fun." Red Hood said to the Mask as he left the room with the two in tow. He didn't bother to tell anyone else what he was up to and spoke only when he was sure these two were the only ones listening.

"My boys beat the location of a high ranking member of The Family out of some thugs. I was gonna go alone, but a little back up never hurt anyone. Plus, I don't know my way around this city very well. Also, I don't need those softies wetting their panties when I break someone's arm for an answer."

He led them outside to an all black moving van and opened the back. Guns lined the walls and various other weapons and gadgets filled up the storage space. This, of course, was only a fraction of what he had access to. "Take what you like, and then we'll be on our way to Di'Angelo's Italian Garden."

Marching along side both Red Hood and Rorschach gave The Mask a vibe of excitement. He hung out with a wide variety of hero-folk, but never with the likes of these two. Red Hood was very vocal in the meeting room, giving any sane person a vibe of arrogance and over-confidence while Rorschach mostly kept his thoughts to himself, but smelled awful. Neither of these traits seemed to be important to The Mask, just the simple fact that these two aren't in protest against hurting 'bad-guys'.

Giggling silently to himself as he pictured what silly and horrific things he'll do to obtain whatever information they required. It really was left to anything his imagination could muster... which was The Mask's deadliest weapon by far.

Following the Red Mask outside of the Stark Tower, the group approached the black van.

"Black van. Excellent choice, very cool... I like your style." The Mask grinned as he placed some very dark sunglasses on his face. He then proceeded brush his zoot suit with his hands as if he were dusting it off. As he did this, the yellow on his suit was visably coming off, leaving the suit in a jet black colour. "Gotta blend in ya'know!" he coughed as he accidentally inhaled some of the yellow dust which came from his now black zoot suit.

"Take what you like, and then we'll be on our way to Di'Angelo's Italian Garden."

"Thanks, but no thanks..." he answered, patting his pockets, "I'll arm myself when the time calls..."

He stepped in the van and took a seat. His playful grin now twisting itself into something more... psychotic.

She had watched the Red Hood walk in and out of the lounge for some reason, though she had a feeling he was doing something that involved guns and violence, he was after all a vigilante. Sighing, she stood up from her seat and looked at Red Hood as he, the Mask and Rorschach left out of the lounge. He had something planned that much was sure, but his methods of getting answers and capturing someone was not ideal for the public. Public favor would go out of the window with those three rummaging about. She decided to tag him secretly, to make sure that he didn't do anything overly ridiculous, after all they did want to apprehend these men without harm befalling them. She could only imagine the look on Red Hood's face when he attempted to break the arm of one of the men only to be repelled back by one of her spells.

She would be the anti-crime angel, hidden from view, unnoticed by them as she watched over their actions, making sure that the criminals committed the crimes and not Fantastic Force members. Silently, she performed a spell that transformed her into a shadow. She then slipped out of the room and merged with the shadow of Red Hood. She would go unnoticed for the time being, until she felt that her presence should be needed.

"Take what you like, and then we'll be on our way to Di'Angelo's Italian Garden."

The van's items were impressive, yet suspicious. True, his past partner had a wide variety of gadgets and weaponry to aid in their fight against crime, but something told Rorschach that such a spread was not all for the pursuit of good and the punishment of evil. He would have to do his own investigation on Red Hood privately. Until then, there wasn't much else to do but continue their plans for interrogation. If Red Hood was a part of any... unsavory hobbies on the side, Rorschach would know soon enough.

"No need. Fine like this," he pulled his own weapon - a grappling gun, gas powered and strong enough to lift up to 300 lbs. It was also proven to do some damage when fired at another person. Specifically, it would kill them. Truthfully, Rorschach was more of an improviser than a gunslinger, and worked with his environment. His odd, green skinned partner also refused; judging by that demented grin, he didn't need any more help doing his job.

It was then, as the Mask was speaking, that he noticed something odd at the corner of his eye. He couldn't quite place it; it happened so quickly that he wondered if it was just his imagination. Still, instincts were instincts. "Suggest hurrying. Suspicious of surroundings. Feel like we're being watched."

Red Hood leaned into the van, and used a magnetic key fob to pop open the lock of a complicated rectangular metal box. Given the predominance of sorcery and other strange mystic mumbo-jumbo, he'd made it a point to get his hands on this weapon.

He hefted out an nth metal mace. This weaponry was rare, but they were floating around the black market since an attempted Thanagarian invasion. The impressive metal bestowed anti-magic properties and the mace itself activated to generate an electric current. He strapped it to his belt; having it around would be useful against magic and it's effects directed at them. Hell, it'd be useful against anything.

( http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Nth_Metal ) In the TV series, Nth metal is transuranic iron with an atomic number of 676, possessess innate anti-magical properties, is hyperconductive and is able to invert mesons and gravitons.

The Thanagarians had used the Nth metal to drive off Icthultu, a Lovecraftian entity that had dominated Thanagar for generations. Also, Hawkgirl was able to use her Nth metal mace to deflect the spells of Doctor Fate, and her mace was the only weapon that could put down a rampaging Solomon Grundy that was under the influence of chaos magic.

The Mace:

"Rorschach. You drive." He slammed the back doors, leaving The Mask to sit in the cramped quarters and took the passenger seat. "Strange. Zatanna....Whoever it is." He called out loud, just in case someone was listening. "I suggest you leave it be."

Red Hood put the vaporizer to his face and took yet another inhalation of Ether. He didn't have any intention of fighting anyone in the team, but he would if any of them pissed him off enough...He didn't like when people got in the way of results; he was, after all, only trying to help.

The power of Nth Metal was known by all magic users. It was known for it's anti-magic properties, being able to deflect MAGIC. It was an item of the Thanagar, but how Red Hood got his hands on it was anyone's guess. She flipped through the pages of the book she had read in her mind on Nth Metal.

Nth Metal has the ability to negate gravity, allowing a person wearing an object, such as a belt, made of Nth Metal to fly. In addition, Nth metal also protects the wearer from the elements and speeds the healing of wounds, increases their strength, and protects them from extremes in temperature.

Her spell had been weakened by this metal. She had to find a hiding place in the van before her cover was blown. She could no longer hold the shape of a shadow and quickly transformed into the size of an ant as she hid under the seats of the van, in the back, away from the Nth Metal.

"Cursed Thanagar metal," she said softly as she sat down in her tiny ant sized form. She'd have to meditate in order to keep this form, but she was sure her cover hadn't completely been blown by that god awful metal. She was glad she knew her magic, otherwise she would have reverted back into her normal size which would have meant landing in Red Hood's lap, and she'd hate to tease the man. Sighing, she began to meditate, closing her eyes and allowing her surroundings to vanish. Being the size of an ant allowed for great maneuverability but it also had its downside. Bugs were nasty critters and were quite the nuisance in this form. She was glad she didn't choose the size of a micron, as she'd then have to deal with germs and they were quite the troublesome bunch. For now, she'd ride along hidden in the back of the van, an ant size version of herself.

When The Mask had made a balloon replica of his Iron Man suit, a large smile crossed Tony's face and the smile grew bigger when it was revealed that the balloon Iron Man even had a flame thrower. He laughed at the sound effects that The Mask made as he showed off the flamethrower.

As he laughed, Tony saw that Red Hood was saying something to The Mask and he forced himself to stop laughing. He couldn't hear what was being said, but it seemed a little suspicious. Without warning, The Mask had stopped playing with the flamethrower and had walked over and given the balloon version of himself to him, ruffling his hair and saying "There ya go sonneh! You behave yerself ya hear!"

Tony smiled and took the balloon Iron Man, looking at it for a few seconds before he glanced up and saw that Red Hood, The Mask, and Rorschach had left the room. A moment later, he saw Zatanna slipping out of the room, possibly to follow the group that had left.

Hmm..., he wondered, before he stood up and addressed the remaining members of the Fantastic Force.

"Is it me, or does it seem like something suspicious is going on? We've had four members just get up and leave with no explaination. I personally think that something is up."

When he was done speaking, he sat down and waited for someone else to speak.

Strange watched silently as the four of them left the room. He had a feeling this would happen and wasn’t about to stop try and stop them, not that he thought they would have listened anyway. He just hoped that innocents wouldn’t pay a price should things get out of control. He turned to respond to Tony when a voice entered his mind.

“Master, I have the information you requested,” the voice echoed in Strange’s mind.

“Thank you Wong,” Strange responded telepathically and listened. Once he had heard it all, he looked over the group.

“We now have the locations of the gangs we need to stop, and their leaders,” Strange smiled. “Or at least some of them, Hopefully Red Hood’s contacts can find out more. But what we know so far is that The Black Mask has set up shop in Washington Heights. We know that Zhaz and his gang have taken over Gramercy and Chelsea. As well, Rhino and his gang have been spotted in the Upper East Side. Also, Jackie Estacado and the Franchetti family are attempting to tighten their grip on Midtown Manhattan. And lastly, Sabertooth is attempting a takeover in Fort George and Inwood .” Once he had finished, Strange cleared his throat and took another sip of water.

“Specific information on each of the gangs should be coming in shortly. But I would like to remind you once again that our goal here is to capture these gangs and their leaders alive.” Strange took on a more serious expression.

“While I understand that this may not always be possible, I urge each of you to make capture your top priority. We are not murderers.” Strange sighed in his mind as he said it. How ironic that the ones he felt most needed to be reminded of this, had now gone off on their own.

"Stop here." Rorschach pulled the van into a parking garage he pointed out four blocks away from the restaurant. Red Hood stepped out and nodded to the guy who would drive this van into the elevator that took it to one of the many parking levels.

Hey boss. The henchman said as he closed the garage gates behind them. This was one of his money laundering spots, so it was a legitimate business most of the time. But while he was here, it was most certainly closed to the public.

Red hood then went to the back of the van and flung open the doors. He pulled out the nth metal mace and began waving it around the storage area of the van. He was taking no chances.

As the van came to a stop, The Mask gave a small stretch to all four limbs before hopping out the back of the van Red Hood opened the trunk.

"I'm both ready and excited..." he declared, waiting for any further instructions from Red Hood since he was the man with the plan at the moment.

Zatanna felt the vehicle ease to a stop, and she felt that it was at this time that she should slip out of the van and watch the others from afar. When the doors opened, she slipped out and rushed over to a shadow that was cast from one of the concrete beams that held the garage up. She watched from afar as Red Hood swung the Nth Metal Mace, causing her to shake her head. It seemed that he was quite the paranoid one, and didn't trust his magic wielding team mates, still she was a safe distance away from the Nth Metal in order not to be affected by it.

"He's quite the clever hunk, I suppose keeping my distance will work to my advantage, but he'll never get rid of me until the job is done," she said softly to herself. None of them would be able to hear her, as she was so tiny, it would take a high level microphone to even pick up her voice. A smile crept across her face as she watched and waited. She should have hexed him for bringing such a weapon, but in doing so would completely give away her cover.

Rorschach exited the van, observing his surroundings with a vague sense of discomfort. The more and more he looked around, the more it seemed like Red Hood was involved in illegal activities. Nevertheless, he kept his mind on the mission at hand. No matter what, there would be scum to deal with, and that was more important.

He was not used to driving. True, getting his license was part of the whole "normal member of society" program he had to partake in as a boy, but it was not something he did often. Nevertheless, he made sure to follow all the rules of the road to an exactness that made some of his passengers sigh in frustration. No matter. They were there in one piece.

Making his way next to Red Hood, he stuffed his hands in his pockets and watched coolly. "Any form of a plan?" Rorschach thought it would be best to know before they barged in.

"Plan? We dispatch all of the bodyguards while not getting shot." He was already leading them out of the garage and into the streets. They walked the short distance without incident. He saw right away that there was a small alley off to the side of the restaurant.

"According to my sources, the bodyguards are dressed in black suits. The man we want is an old Italian mobster by the name of Little Jimmy. His name, as one would expect, is not entirely accurate. He's fat as a blimp." He pointed to the alley. "Rorschach, you go in through the kitchen in the side alley. Me and Mask will go in the front. Our man will be in a private booth in the back, not far from the kitchen. They'll be distracted by us, leaving you, Rorschach, with the element of surprise."

((Edit: When it comes to it, I'll also RP the gang boss [as well as the gun-toting bodyguards] since I know the info. Unless Naz wants to do it [although, it'd probably take for ever were that the case :P] ))

"I just hope they don't get themselves killed," she said softly as she debated on who to follow. Finally, she decided it best to follow Rorschach since he wasn't the one with the Nth Metal Mace. She'd do better with Rorschach anyways, he upheld some type of decency even though he smelled, and she was sure he'd not push the boundaries too far. When the time came, she'd reveal herself to them, but only when the time came, till then she'd stay hidden in her tiny form, making sure that they didn't kill anyone.

Red Hood strode across the street, The Mask right behind him, Rorschach headed to the kitchen entrance at the side of the restaurant. He was the first to enter the double doors of the cozy, tasty-smelling establishment. The black-clad guards on either side of him, who had been posted at the doors, only needed a glimpse of his red mask before they were already drawing their guns. He was quicker. Red Hoods twin suppressed Colt 1911s were out in a flash, each arm extended. He double tapped the guards on his left and right, and they fell in a heap.

"Dinner's over! Get the fuck out!" He screamed while shattering the storefront windows with two well placed shots. It was chaos as innocent diners began to scramble out of the place through where the windows once were. In the chaos, he hid behind a booth leaving the Mask to make his entrance as the last of the people swarmed out. A suit wearing thug stepped out the back room and pointed an RPG at the front entrance.

Listening to the sounds of chaos as Red Hood made his subtle entrance, The Mask grinned with anticipation of what he might do. Listing off everything while counting the ideas with his fingers, he casually entered the restaurant, strolling in without a care in the world void of any sort of cover.

Red Hood had already done his damage to some thugs, but he took the liberty to duck behind a booth while another thug aimed his RPG launcher directly at the main entrance... right where The Mask was standing. After the thug shouted something that sounded one-liner like, the rocket barrelled towards The Mask at full speed, apt on destroying whatever stood in front of it.

*GULP*

The Mask ate the rocket. His mouth opening unrealistically large and swallowed the entire thing whole. After his face warped back to it's "regular" size, he added another idea to his 13th finger.

"'Cuse me sir!" he coughed, "I think this belongs to you!" he grinned as his mouth shot open and re-launched the rocket back at the confused, and soon to be dead thug.

*BOOM*

Confetti.

The explosion of non-leathal confetti both startled and relieved the thug, who had fallen on his arse in previous terror. The Mask skipped to the confused man and gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"I may be crazy, but I'm not cruel..." he laughed, "HAHA Just kiddin..." He grabbed the thug by the collar and flung him through a window outside into the alley.

Zatanna had followed Rorschach and was sure she'd made the right choice, but when she heard the breaking of glass and the use of curse words, she glared in the direction of Red Hood and the Mask. Though she couldn't see them, she knew things were already getting heated. When she heard the explosion, she quickly resumed her normal human size, shape and form. She looked at Rorschach and glared.

"Well, this is awkward, but I'm sure you aren't going to sit idly by and let them have all the fun now are you?"

At the sudden appearance of Zatanna, Rorschach literally recoiled in grotesque shock. Perhaps it was because of her surprising entrance or maybe her pornographic costume. Either way, he expressed his displeasure by totally ignoring her and making his way into the kitchen.

He shoved open the door with such force it slammed against the wall, alerting the kitchen staff of his presence. Being well known in New York City for his illegal vigilantism, several people gasped in shock. He was supposed to still be in prison, after all. "Oh no..." One of them muttered, clearly aware of what was about to happen.

"Oh yes," he replied, making his way through the busy kitchen. "Good to be back. Suggest leaving." They didn't need to be told twice (especially once gunshots began to ring out in the dining room), and immediately flooded out the back entrance, letting all sorts of pots and pans go unattended. As he swiftly walked past the rows and rows of cookware, he grabbed the first heavy thing he could find - a skillet full of hot oil and vegetables.

Once he entered the restaurant, he pressed against the wall to avoid being seen by the guards. They were preoccupied, shooting at Red Hood who was hiding behind a booth, managing to hold his own for the time being. Finally glancing at Zatanna (while still holding the hot skillet), he grunted. "Make yourself useful."

Calmly walking up behind one of the attackers, he cleared his throat and swung the skillet directly at him, the hot oil and vegetables coating the mans face. Hurm. Reminded him of prison. Rorschach still gave him a kick to the groin, just for good measure. As the guard screamed in pain, he used the skillet to hit the next enemy, who went down with a loud "thud", a red burn mark imprinted on his cheek.

Red Hood was on the move as soon as the shooting ceased. He darted across the room and leveled his guns at the two guards nearest the private dining room. They both had set their sights on Rorschach. Another double tap from each gun rendered them harmless.

Red Hood pressed his back against the wall, off to the side of the closed door. He reached out, turned knob and let the door creak open. Immediately shots began to pepper the door. He responded by producing a small canister and rolling it into the room. The deafening pop of the flash bang resounded throughout the restaurant. The pained shouts of the now blinded, deafened, and disoriented guards within the room followed.

Meanwhile, behind the Mask, outside of the restaurant, two black Lincoln Navigators screeched up to the front. Both were packed with more men in suits. "Mask, Zatanna! Cover the front! Don't let them overwhelm us!" He demanded.

Watching Rorschach slap the man with the heated pan made Zatanna smirk. The action was already starting and she was going to have herself a little fun with these men. She strutted pass Rorschach and sighed.

"I'll be more useful than chocolate in a brownie," Zatanna stated as she blasted one of the thugs with energy. The thug hit the wall with a loud thud and fell to the floor. She was having such a wonderful time blasting the guards, tossing their bodies here and there, showing the three men she came with that she was more than just beauty, that she was more than a woman, she was a fighter, a warrior, someone not to be messed with. She held a guard up by his collar and planted her knee in his groin. The pained expression on the man's face made her smirk as she tossed him aside and listened to Red Hood's command.

"As you wish handsome," she stated feeling more alive than she had ever felt in this moment. Her eyes glowed a beautiful vibrant color as energy wrapped around her hands.

"Mask, got any tricks up those deviant sleeves of yours?" She asked as she thrust her hands forwards. An orb began to form in front of her as she stood beside the Mask, doing her job as the orb rocketed forth hitting one of the Lincoln Navigators causing it to explode and causing some of the men in suits to be thrown to the ground. A smile crossed her face as she readied another orb. The men who had hit the ground were starting to get back up and Zatanna shook her head.

"Men, they never learn."

"Mask, Zatanna! Cover the front! Don't let them overwhelm us!" Red Hood ordered from the far end of the dining room.

The Mask made his way towards the front entrance as he spotted Zatanna who made it to the front before he did. With a large grin on his face (like always), he immediately changed his appearance as the two vehicles pulled up.

"Ah... whadda have 'ere?" he sneered while wearing a white collar brown pants with suspenders, acting like a used car salesman. "Those are some pretty spiffy rides you got there! Ever think about upgradin'?" he leaned up against the window of the driver, who looked somewhat confused and was wondering if this was the right place.

"Uh..." he voiced through the rolled down window with his passengers peering out to see who he was talking to.

"These babies you got here look real spiffy! However they have a nasty habit of explodin'!" he patted the hood just as Zatanna threw her orb and blew up one of the Lincoln Navigators. "Ye see! Nasty buggers these rides can be!"

As the thugs from the second car quickly got out of their vehicle, The Mask lifted one of the gangsters from the exploded car to his feet. "Instead of driving that blown up ol' thing, how would you like to see yourself in THIS baby right here!" he raised his hand down the alleyway where a spotlight (from where? We don't know) lit a brand new armoured black tinted Hummer.

"He...Hey! Philson! Check out that ride!" the gangster said while tapping his other friends to observe this car. "H.How much?" he asked The Mask.

"W'hell slooowwww down champ!" The Mask answered, "That's our oldest model! Ye interested in our NEWEST ride? Just came in today!"

The Gangster nodded with excitement as the rest began to group around him.

The Mask marched down the opposite end of the alleyway to reveal the next car. "Fest your eyes on a brand new MONSTER TRUCK!" The spotlight lit the vehicle, an enormous truck on gigantic tires. A large painted snarling mouth decorated the front of the truck. "Careful, she bites..." The Mask grinned. Suddenly the painted snarling mouth began to move before unleashing a defining roar.

Like some kind of animal, the monster truck charged towards the terrified gangsters and began to devour them whole. Havoc cried from the front of the restaurant, followed by cries of terror from the gangsters attempting to escape.

Taking his cue from the flash bang, Rorschach quickly moved into the private room, easily taking out the nearest guard who was still trying to regain his senses. A quick head bash against the table rendered him unconscious and bleeding on the floor from a broken nose. Half kneeling on the ground next the thug, Rorschach undid his tie and set his sights on the remaining scum.

The last guard (Jimmy's personal body guard no doubt) could just barely see a dark figure moving about the room. Fumbling with his gun, he managed to shoot in the right direction, the gun barely making a sound over the ringing in his ears. In his disorientated state his aim was terrible and he missed his target, still, however managing to graze Rorschach's right arm. Ignoring the pain, he took down the guard by first disarming him and then punching him in the face with such force one could hear the crack of his jaw. Knocked out cold. That's what he got for ripping his coat.

"Hrm. One left," he muttered to himself, making his way to the back of the room. Flinging a chair out of the way, he looked upon the revolting creature on the floor, blindly searching about for his weapon. Kicking the gun on the floor out of the way, Rorschach knelt down and grabbed the mob boss by the collar, pulling him up as best he could. There was a certain amount of difficulty to that; fat didn't even partially describe his girth.

Propping him up against the heavy table, he took the tie from the first guard and bound his hands against the iron leg tightly. "Interesting turn of events," he mused, kneeling in front of Jimmy. "Not usually one tied up, correct? Heh."

Zatanna watched the Mask with much interest as he comically showed the men the first armored vehicle. She only placed a hand on her forehead as she could only imagine what the Mask had in store for the poor men. When the light shined on the monster truck, Zatanna's eyes twinkled as she had a feeling that the monster truck would be just that, a monster. Her feelings were correct as the truck began to chase the men, consuming them whole. Zatanna could have fell over with laughter, but she was there to make sure they didn't kill anyone.

"Llaw," she muttered as a wall surged from the ground in front of the monster truck and the remaining guards. The men hit the wall with a thud, while the monster truck struck the wall with an intense blow, causing the front teeth of the grill to crumble. The face of the monster truck was smashed in as it backed up and rushed away whimpering, ejecting the men it had consumed. Zatanna covered her mouth to keep from laughing at the poor thing, but she managed to gather up the unconscious men and piled them up in front of the store. After she finished, she waited for Red Hood and Rorschach to bring forth the boss.

Meanwhile, she walked over to the Mask and smiled.

"You've no idea who you're FUCKING WITH!" Big Jimmy spat has Rorschach hoisted his helpless girth. His eyes widened in outrage as the Red Hood walked in, and casually executed the guards who were left alive.

"You're going to give up all your gang associates, or we'll keep you alive. Just barely. Rorschach? Show him what we mean."

There wasn't much encouragement needed. Ignoring the threats and protests of their informant, Rorschach calmly and systematically held down one bulging leg with his left hand. Taking a moment to decide on his next course of action, he then used his right hand to push the mobsters foot swiftly to left and down. The unnatural angle and heavy force would break his ankle, the bones snapping in protest. His inability to walk paired with his girth would render him incapacitated.

The screaming that followed was of course obnoxious, but then again it always was. "Hypocrite. Done worse to others, sure of it," he muttered as he moved onto the other foot. She wandered through the building, noticing four bodies that hadn't moved. She had noticed other bodies that had been put down who were crawling away from the scene, but these particular bodies weren't making any effort to escape. She hovered a hand over them and felt no spirit within, this meant that one of the three men had disobeyed orders of no killing from the higher ups. Sighing, she knew this would have to be covered up somehow and decided it would be best to erase the memories of the guards, civilians and staff of the restaurant. Her eyes glowed tremendously inside the dark building. She locked her magic onto the minds of the surviving guards, civilians and staff members. In a quick utterance of words, their minds were wiped clean of any memory of the event.

She watched as the surviving guards began to wake from their stupor. She greeted them and told them that they had gotten into a car accident. She informed them that there was nothing to worry about and that everything would be taken care of. She had placed false memories into the men's minds as well as any bystanders and had covered their tracks like any expert would. The men smiled and jumped into the remaining Lincoln Navigator before speeding off down the road. They had not the memory of the events at hand, but were returning to their lives as free men. Meanwhile, using her magic, she fixed what was broken, cleaning the entire scene and making it seem as if they had never been there.

She blasted the burned carcass of the other Navigator and watched as it vanished. Silently, she strutted back inside the restaurant. It was at this time that she heard Red Hood ask for her services.

"Alright, but I want to speak with you when this is over," she stated as her hands glowed and she maneuvered them in a circle. A beautiful circle appeared on the floor of the building and stretched out to all corner of the property before vanishing. The spell was in place, none could enter nor exit without Zatanna allowing them to. Those remaining inside were put into a magic induced slumber and would awake once Zatanna and the three men left. She walked into the room where two more bodies were found slain on the floor with Rorschach breaking the ankle of the boss they had been sent to retrieve information from.

"Red Hood," she growled as the doors of the room slammed shut. Her cold soul piercing stare was locked on Red Hood. It didn't matter if he had the Nth Metal mace, she'd make sure he understood the severity of killing these men.

"You knew what our objective was, luckily I can fix it, but I'll make sure the higher ups know about your blatant disregard for orders," she said as she looked at Little Jimmy and shook her head. She walked over to him and looked at Rorschach, his hand wrapped around the mod boss's big toe.

"That won't be necessary," she stated as she ran a hand through the man's hair. She put on her charm, her beautiful mascaraed as she looked into his eyes. They began to twinkle beautifully as she continued to stroke his hair.

"Now now," she said as she thrust his head into her bosom, "won't you please give us the information we require, I can make the pain go away, I can make it all stop, but you have to give us the information, please" She was pouring on her charm, her provocativeness, her sexual nature as she attempted to get the mob boss to spill the information. She was using her most sensual of voices as she did so. Of course she could have put a spell on him that forced him to spill, or she could have simply searched his mind for the information, but where was the fun in that?

"Please, please! Don't let them hurt me any more. The fat man clung to Zatanna and began to sob.

"Oh for fucks sake!" Red Hood growled and pushed Zatanna aside. He pointed the gun and fired it into the man's kneecap. Fatty's cry of pain pierced the room. Red Hood then pressed the burning hot barrel of the silenced weapon against his forehead. "You have five seconds."

Okay, okay! Two-Face and his Crime Syndicate are on the Upper West Side, Jigsaw's “Beauts” are in Harlem, and Pyro and his “Arsonists” are in Morningside Heights. I swear that's all I know! Fat Jimmy said through screams and sobs.

Red hood withdrew the gun and holstered it. "I'm done with you. Your fate is in Rorschach's hands."

"Zatanna...Good job with the clean up. Get us the hell out of here..." He assumed she had a teleport spell handy.

Fat Jimmy looked up hopefully at Rorschach. It scared him that his face could not be read. "You're gonna let me go right? You're the good guys! Right..?" His eyes were pleading.

"You? Let go? Hrm..." He seemed amused by the thought. "Mercy not your strong suit. Neither is mine."

The man was whining, begging for his life in such a weak manner that Rorschach couldn't help but sneer under his second skin. No mercy for criminals, especially not scum so pathetic and cowardly. Jimmy was one of the more ruthless crime lords, his torture and disgusting sexual proclivities not only limited to other mobsters, but to innocent men and women as well. To erase his existence from the tainted city streets would be a vast improvement.

With a low grunt, Rorschach ignored the screams of the hysterical mob boss and gripped his fleshy head with both hands. In one swift movement, he snapped the man's neck, the loud sickening crack echoing in the now silent room. It was more than he deserved, but they didn't have time for a long drawn out production. He was absolutely sure that Jimmy had a second in command, waiting to take over in case of his death. Rorschach would be ready for the replacement, and take down the entire organization. But until then....

"Finished here. More work to be done. Lets go."

A look of disgust plagued her face as she looked at Rorschach and Red Hood. They had went against orders and had killed the overly fat mob boss, showing absolutely no mercy. She knew this was bad, she knew that there would be consequences and repercussions for their actions, and she'd have to suffer with them, because she had not attempted to stop the deaths, but had partook in the takeover of the restaurant. Sighing, she waited until everyone was in place before she began her spell. Though she hated being a part of such travesty, she was still a member of the team and would stand by them regardless of the consequences. She had made a mental note to transform Rorschach into a cockroach when they returned to the base and turn Red Hood into a mantis and have the two chase after each other, but that would have to wait.

"Espíritos antigos ouvir a minha voz, nos transportar para o local de nossa escolha," she stated as wind began to blow heavily in the room. The containment spell was broken and the individuals who had been caught in the spell began to awake. Energy wrapped around each of them. Flashes of light filled the room, and thunder and lightening began to boom. Ghoulish howls could be heard before the four of them vanished unheard.

Zatanna soon appeared within Stark Tower, landing in the meeting room that she had left moments earlier. She landed softly on her feet and looked around.

"Where the hell are they?" she questioned, but realized that because of the Nth Metal Mace, they could be anywhere. It wasn't her fault, Red Hood shouldn't have brung the damned device with him. Sighing, she wondered what the punishment would be for their actions, but there was no time to find out, she had a mission to finish and she'd worry about Red Hood, Mask and Rorschach later. She couldn't help but think about what Fat Jimmy had stated upon being interrogated so ruthlessly by Red Hood.

"Two-Face and his Crime Syndicate are on the Upper West Side, Jigsaw's “Beauts” are in Harlem, and Pyro and his “Arsonists” are in Morningside Heights," she recalled as she scurried to her room to gather her things for this mission. This could be quite the dangerous mission for an individual person, regardless of their abilities.
