Sycane, the Wasteland
Sycane earned its name, because the oldest people in Sycane are the Sycanese, otherwise known as the Mechanists. They originally occupied the Sycane Plains which was once a habitat for all manner of creatures. The Sycanese built the Mechanist City (Sycansinium) in the desert which is now known as the Badlands. Historically the Sycanese people famously built many keeps and defenses underground. These defenses consisted of cogs, gears, springs which powered traps and sometimes weaponry. The Sycanese soon paid the price for experimenting with the Arcane magic. In under a century the life drained out of Sycane. The Badlands became inhospitable, the Sycanese Emperor however, remained firm, whilst some of his people fled west and later occupied the Dregen Mountains.
It was around this time that Vanchar was founded by a group of humans had finally found a source of life. The Nivern River. The Varcharian people later built cities such as Elangor and Vectad. The army you could say vaguely seemed like the roman forces of our world. Disciplined, formiddable, and with unbreakable resolve. When Vanchar extended its borders the first other civilisation it found was Baltirek. Barbarians who had captured somehow, an ancient city. The Baltirese and Syria lived in relative harmony with eachother, and it was until the rise of Magna would they start to want power. The Road to war is long, but it has an end.
Another ancient city emerged from the dirt or rather hiberation. The lizard people Y'tan Grul, had lizard bodies, which were incredibly thick, they had retractable claws, wings, and even tendrils, on their arms they had strange curved gauntlets which were capable of slicing through flesh. Their weapons were unusual, in that some were made of stone, and others unknown steels.
The Magnan Divide, happened when Syen Grunth of the Magnan Empire was overthrown. About a year later, the Magnan Magnallion had estabilished himself as ruler, and had gradually marched on the Nivern River. His forces had also been dealt a blow by the Sycanese. The Y'tan who lived in the middle of the Wasteland, had built up a force, and its city which rested inside the hills became almost impervious. The Y'tan had also begun expanding a little, and unfortunately for the Blood Burners they would be annihilated by this invisible beast of an enemy.
The Black Dragon loyal were occupants of the Dragnin, living in exile had left them little but no choice in the matter. They first goal was to trade with those on the Dregen Mountains. The Black Dragon Legions had out of this built an alliance. Of course it had allies in Vanchar but knowing the Sycanese were willing to help made things easier for Magniek.
This my failed attempt at making a map
Note: Baltirek is the small empire into between Y'tan Grul and the Badlands
