Eden Academy

Eden Academy for the Gifted caters for all the needs of the chosen few from all over the world to be given a free and rare education. Each Child is chosen from a small list of candidates and the Academy only accepts those with "Talents" although anyone can sign up to be considered a candidate only the best and the brightest are chosen to be flown all the way to our secluded grounds in an undisclosed location away from the prying eyes of the public.

On the Plane...
Please fashion your seat belts the plane will land shortly. In the short time before we land I would like to explain to you young men and women what you are see from your windows." The Eden Academy sits upon the most extreme example of a phenomenon known in the geological community as a Sinkhole. Now there's no need to be scared the land below the earth has fallen as far as it could possibly go. Evidently this massive sinkhole occurred thousands of years ago and its unique position, has allowed unique climate conditions that have turned into a paradise. The sinkhole is 11 miles long and 11 miles wide the cliffs surrounding it reach a height of 2000 feet, it boasts a community of Academy Employees on the eastern side next to an artificial lake created by the Academy's founder, Miss Evangeline Wilton. The environment boasts a large variety of flora and fauna. If you look out of the other windows in the plane you will notice that we are directly over the Dorm Town a small community fashioned to meet your needs during breaks from school life it is located on the northern wall and has a plenty of things to occupy your time.

You will feel a strange sensation upon landing please just ignore it. It is harmless. You will be greeted by a guide who will show you around. You have two weeks to become accustomed to the Eden Academy before classes start. Have a nice, safe stay.

Eden Academy
Eden Academy is a large complex that is the center for all education for its students. Students go to Eden Academy for 10 years then return home to be politicians, business men and women, scientists, and so much more. Their education is absolutely free but only the best are accepted. The complex sits directly in the middle of Eden Lake and resembles a large Castle town. There are currently 785 students studying at Eden Academy

Chron Village
The village of chron lives on the edge of an artificially created lake that was created by tapping into a flooded cave system. the lake itself is rather deep and is fished for an assortment of creatures ranging from crabs to tuna. The village itself has its own school which the villagers send their kids to Occasionally Students will be transfered to Eden Academy. About twice the size of Dorm Town and supporting a unique architecture style of buildings built into the cliff's surrounding Eden. Chron's inhabitants help keep Eden running smoothly. Announcements can be heard on the outskirts of the town only.

Eden lake
Eden lake was created when a tapped cave system flooded with water unleashed itself into the deepest part of Eden. It is rumored to be at least 3 miles deep, except for an island in the middle.

Dorm Town
The "playground" of Eden Academy. Every week each student is given an allowance to spend on all them items from shops in the Dorm Town. It also holds the dormitories of course. Dorm Town was built in order to make sure every student has the comfort of the modern world away from the modern world. Dorm town has a shopping center and dormitories that are made up of three high rise buildings with apartments. Students with numerous accomplishments under their belt live in condos on the edge of Eden lake.

Ramora Moor
A large Moor a Mile and a half south of Dorm Town it is almost always shrouded in a veil of thick fog. It is forbidden for students to explore the Moor. There is a magnificent view of the Moor from the Highrise its said that on the night of a full moon during the summer you can see ruins through the fog. But thats just a silly rumor. Announcements cannot be heard here.

Jacob's Forest
Jacob's forest is a beautiful forest that surrounds Dorm Town. In the summer Eden academy opens it up for walks and recreational activity but for the rest of the year any travel through it is forbidden except with the presence of an escort along the pre-mapped routes.

The Sandy Pond
A secret spot known only to a few students located far from any of the Eden facilities. It is dangerously close to the Cave waterfall that drains into the lake. The sandy pond is about ten feet deep at its center and is almost always in direct sunlight during the summer. so its almost always very warm. The water is crystal clear and fresh. deep beneath the sand at the bottom lies a geothermic spring that bubbles up through the sandy bottom. Making it relatively nice in the winter. Announcements cannot be heard here.

A Legacy is a special power given to student when they arrive at Eden Academy. No character knows they have a legacy until it activates. A Legacy can range from the ability to fly to the ability to turn in visible. Each Legacy has a downside however this downside can range from being able to use it only a limited amount of times or getting slight headaches after use. The final thing about Legacy's is that they can be given to other people provided you have met certain requirements first.

Ashley is a very strange personality as she seems to have some version of multiple personality disorder, based on how completely different she can act in various situations. Normally she is a bright, bubbly girl with a happy-go-lucky personality and she can be very kind to everyone she meets. She refers to almost everyone as a 'friend she just hasn't met' and so when she does meet them she gives off a warm impression, smiling and touching them a lot, especially on the arm. She has a good understanding of human psychology as she understands that people are actually more likely to be friendly to people who approach them from their right-hand side, and she also understands various other things about people in that respect. She is very adept at manipulating people to like her more, and while she acts so friendly and kind she doesn't always actually trust them. In fact she has almost no liking for anybody deep down - while she does treat some people as actual friends there are very very few people that she truly trusts deep down inside. She does trust people over the short-term very often, especially other students, but only within-classes. It is very hard to earn her complete trust.

She rarely lies either, and she is a very nice person overall, which may have been clear by now but that's not enough to know how kind. She is very charitable and gives money to the poor or those she finds whom are less fortunate almost daily, be it a small or large amount. She has no care for money or material goods but she is still just a young 15-year-old girl in spirit as well. As a result she has a large base of innocence as well as her apparent intelligence; so basically she's a super smart child like the one she grew up with, but she has almost no social experience since her life has been very much about serious matters or dealing with them from home. She finds it hard to understand why other children are able to play and have fun all around her while she simply is forced to suffer through their jubilance. She tries as hard as she can to join in and experience mindless fun but she is much more comfortable with adults than with other teenagers. However she is a very internally depressed girl despite how bubbly and kind she appears to be on the outside, and while she laughs and skips along all the time, inside she is crying almost constantly, even though when she does cry she continues to smile.

However she does have a dark side, the side that those whom have 'sinned' in her mind see and experience in it's full horror. The thing is she always smiles and that is the only marker people have to know when she's shifted from "bright small girl" to "smiling, justice-obsessed sociopath". Her smile takes on a dark cast, her eyes sparkling with suppressed malice rather than bright exuberance, and the biggest indicator of this is the fact that, when she's happy she doesn't smile with her teeth, but when she's angry she does.

Legacy:
Name: The Legacy of Pain
Abilities: The Legacy of Pain allows you to heal others by taking the injury onto yourself. healing a person with a cut on their leg will transfer the cut to your leg. The other side of this Legacy is that you are also able to transfer the cut to anyone else. (Note) Restoring life to a dead person will kill you.
Cost: This Legacy will transfer the pain (mental and physical) and injuries to you if you touch anyone regardless of whether you wish it to or not after you use it a total of 13 times.
Activation Requirement: 13 hours from the time you get off the plane.

Personality- Devin is an energetic guy, always found with some type of machine in his hand, usually in parts or being reconstructed. When not working with some type of machine, he is usually found doodling on a scratch sheet of paper, or reading books. He also practices fighting to a slightly extent, to keep his body in shape, viewing himself as a fully functioning machine.

He is at times though forgetful when focused on objects. He will usually forget to eat or sleep when working on personal projects, which has caused him to have very little developed social skills when interacting with others. Most of the time, he just falls asleep next to the machine he might be working on, so he has trained himself to turn off machines in his sleep on instinct.

As well, Devin is somewhat of a klutz, scraping knees and giving himself cuts, which he often times ignores. When around machines though, he had great skill and balance, able to walk around machinery without falling or stepping on any important machinery, able to tell the placement of material without having to look once.

He is mostly interested in weaponry and vehicles. Since he could remeber, he would always be working near a garage, helping take apart cars and the internal machines in them, to simpler stuff, like guns and lazer pointers. Always interesting in how things tick, he spent most of his earning on motorized scooters and areosoft guns, taking great care to keep track of the parts he had gutted. Instead of playing with the stuff with others, he would take them apart and piece them back together, only to do it all over again to marvel at the inner mechanisms and workings of the machine or weapon

After all the pain and neglect, she has become resentful and secluded. She doesn't believe in coincidences nor luck, believing that everything is based off the moves you make. She was forced to win everything she applied in, and the few things she has failed, she has special scars marking each of her failures. While she seems unapproachable, and hateful, the few things she holds dear is the sight of nature, animals, and the black King Chess piece she stole after losing her first Chess competition. While rich, she was only given the things that would help her succeed, and the non-prep school clothes she talked her father into.

Anti-authoritarian, rebellious, she still manages to score high on the academic charts, if she bothers trying. Secretive with personal effects and emotional when no one is around, she has been known to inflict pain onto herself for the things she cannot change in her life. Hardly perfect, she was known back in her school to use prescribed medicine for ADHD people, though stopped after staying awake 72 hours, and still suffers from insomnia half the time.

Abilities: This Legacy gives you the power to become a ghost-like entity capable of flying, phasing through walls, and invisibility. Note: while in this ghost state no-one can see or hear you.
Cost: This Legacy can only be used 13 times after that the effect the Legacy produces become permanent but another ability is gained (I will announce this)

1. No not everyone gets a Legacy only a select few are given a Legacy. They are called legacy's for a reason.....

2.only a select few know about legacy's and most prefer to keep it a secret. Some of them never reached their Release Requirement.

3. I was just thinking about this. When someone uses a Legacy for the first time the Pupil of the eye expand until it turns the eye black then it contracts and changes the inner color of the eye a luminescent gold. most people can't see the difference but Legacy's users can spot it easily.

Jack is one of the most care free people you will meet because almost anything that happens he just brushes it off. He also is a person who loves to get as many friends as he can so he can always be on everyones good side. He usually surrounds himself with friends so he can show off that he can be with anyone he wants to.He also wants to be on everybody's good side because he will use them to his advantage in anything he can. Jack is also obsessed with the fact that he thinks that god hates him. Jack usually sticks to neutral colors and never wears anything to bright. At first site people think he is gothic, but once they get to know him he is actually pretty sane, and calm. He is obsessed with fighting and always has been since he was eight. His parents would find him outside fighting kids just so he could show off how much stronger he was than them.

On the inside Jack is a person some people fear, because he has ideas that some people never think of and he looks to good to be true. He hates religion and if someone asks him he will state it openly and not feel sorry for it. Jack also has another voice in his head that sometimes influences Jack. Jack usually keeps this person locked in a mental box. Jack will often find himself messing with fire and whenever someone sees him he always has an excuse. Jack isn't the bandwagon type or a person pushed into doing drugs, but he usually smokes cigarettes, and cigars. He doesn't let people know, but he would tell someone if they asked. Jack is also very flirtatious with women. Jack also is a pyromaniac who was the cause of his parents old burnt down house. Jack has always been attracted to the brilliant hues of fire since he was little and always got lost looking into the flame, this is the cause of his parents burnt down house because they had a gas stove and Jack turned it on. When the phone rang he went and answered it leaving the stove on. The house caught flame and Jack ran outside watching the house burn. Noone ever thought of the incident as arson so his parents were able to get their money back.

Jack is one of the most care free people you will meet because almost anything that happens he just brushes it off. He also is a person who loves to get as many friends as he can so he can always be on everyones good side. He usually surrounds himself with friends so he can show off that he can be with anyone he wants to.He also wants to be on everybody's good side because he will use them to his advantage in anything he can. Jack is also obsessed with the fact that he thinks that god hates him. Jack usually sticks to neutral colors and never wears anything to bright. At first site people think he is gothic, but once they get to know him he is actually pretty sane, and calm. He is obsessed with fighting and always has been since he was eight. His parents would find him outside fighting kids just so he could show off how much stronger he was than them.

On the inside Jack is a person some people fear, because he has ideas that some people never think of and he looks to good to be true. He hates religion and if someone asks him he will state it openly and not feel sorry for it. Jack also has another voice in his head that sometimes influences Jack. Jack usually keeps this person locked in a mental box. Jack will often find himself messing with fire and whenever someone sees him he always has an excuse. Jack isn't the bandwagon type or a person pushed into doing drugs, but he usually smokes cigarettes, and cigars. He doesn't let people know, but he would tell someone if they asked. Jack is also very flirtatious with women. Jack also is a pyromaniac who was the cause of his parents old burnt down house. Jack has always been attracted to the brilliant hues of fire since he was little and always got lost looking into the flame, this is the cause of his parents burnt down house because they had a gas stove and Jack turned it on. When the phone rang he went and answered it leaving the stove on. The house caught flame and Jack ran outside watching the house burn. Noone ever thought of the incident as arson so his parents were able to get their money back.

Abilities: Anybody you touch and hold onto has all their physical abilites doubled in strength. Including yours. The more people you are linked to increase the strength. For example, if you are holding one person both of your physical abilities are doubled in strength, if that person is holding onto another person then each persons physical abilites are tripled, 4 people then quadrupled and so on and so on.
Cost: Anybody you touch loses their memory of you permanently.

The only other things of note are her love and protectiveness of children and a small necklace she always has on her. Though she rarely shows these to others they all stem from her childhood. Her parents died young and she took care of her sister. She had to act like the parent, the big sister who tried her hardest. It didn't work out though and she lost her sister years ago. She sees her sister in children and absolutely adores small children. The necklace is a family heirloom and something she hold dearer than her life.

Cost: Anybody you touch loses their memory of you permanently.
Legacy Activation time: 14 posts after getting off the plane.

Abilities: This legacy allows you control the Clouds.
Cost: After its been used at least 26 times you will be unable to walk and you will become crippled

what if one day it was rainy and terrible outside and you wished it was nice outside. then suddenly the clouds parted and it became bright and sunny? that would be a little wierd wouldn't it or perhaps you make an off handed comment about a tornado and poof tornado that would be crazy.

treats people who hurt her friends with either a cold exterior or burning rage
incredibly beautiful but not vain about it yet people still hate her because she's so beautiful

there are lots of things you need to fix make her more human
perhaps she proud of her lean and toned figure that she has honed in track and field this makes her fast yet also weak in terms of physical strength
her endurance allows her to stand up for what she believes in even if it gets her hurt
the lean toned look about her has made her beautiful but that fact that she doesn't respects artificial beauty has made her many enemies who don't have a desire to try their hardest at making their body perfect like she has.

the thing about her either been calm and collected and cold to those who hurt those her loves
has to be by itself

She knows jokes and such, but her mind goes blank whenever she’s around too many people. She doesn’t mind being watched during sports but if she’s expected to talk in the spotlight, she freezes up. Despite her outer exterior to people who don’t know her (Note: she would like stuck up imo) she’s easily embarrassed. But like I said, she doesn’t have to much experience, so when someone makes a joke that seems funny to others, she just doesn’t get it.
One of her favorite pastimes when she’s not being all athletic, is just lie down in the grass, listen to music, and just think or let her mind wander. She found out a long time ago that trying to interact with others has proved fruitless, so she tends to ignore people unless they start a conversation with her first.
She’s never had a true friend before, only people who wished to reinforce their reps by saying “Hey look! I made friends with Terra!” She has great pride in her athleticism and will punch out anyone who makes fun of her for it. This pride also allows her to defend her family. Despite her outer exterior to people who don’t know her (Note: she would like stuck up imo) she’s easily embarrassed. But like I said, she doesn’t have to much experience, so when someone makes a joke that seems funny to others, she just doesn’t get it.
One of her favorite pastimes when she’s not being all athletic, is just lie down in the grass, listen to music, and just think or let her mind wander. She found out a long time ago that trying to interact with others has proved fruitless, so she tends to ignore people unless they start a conversation with her first.
She’s never had a true friend before, only people who wished to reinforce their reps by saying “Hey look! I made friends with Terra!” She has great pride in her athleticism and will punch out anyone who makes fun of her for it. This pride also allows her to defend her family. Even though she hates them, she will never allow anyone to make fun of her family. She allows herself to occasionally speak her mind, but it comes as a surprise if anyone responds. Everyone thinks her comments are too rude to reply to.

I'm thinking of ending the prologue very soon so I can take my time during the summer to make all those changes i said i would
I give it about 2-3 more updates then the RP will go on hiatus until i finish remodeling it
in the meantime i will finish half of this update right now and half tomorrow
