Late Show Garden (Kisetsu vs James/Spice vs Innkeeper)

[Aeolus]

The stars were unusually bright, night sky so oddly clear in the middle of such a polluted city. There was no smoke, no smog, only the clear, full moon shining red.

Tonight was a night of destiny, a night that sung of encounter...

A night that cried for blood.

She stood there, dressed in lacy blues and whites, staring at that red moon, eyes fixated upon it as the the wind blew, causing loose petals to fly about her. The garden was beautiful, full of flowers that mixed well and arranged gracefully, from red roses to purple hydrangeas to pale lilys to lotus floating along the square pool in the middle, but all paled in comparison to the being that stood at the very center.

The wind picked up again, and her gaze fell from the moon back down to the earth, and slowly, a soft snow began to fall.

[Koti~]

James looked across at the building adjacent to the one he now sat on, curious at had started to snow there. He stood up and looked over, feeling a cool breeze to ruffle his hair. He looked over to see a woman standing in a center of a pond, giving the area a serene grace to it, yet a deadly feeling to the area. He looked up to see a full red moon hanging over head.

'We should go introduce ourselves' Enza said in his head, making him question her motive. He could feel her quiver with excitement, and desire to see who this person was, and he felt the same.

Nodding in agreement, James charged a small amount of lightning into his feet, and ran towards the edge of the building he was on. Once at the edge, he released the energy in a small burst of lightning to propel himself over the gap and land on the roof top of the other building, rolling a bit to lessen the impact.

Standing up and brushing off some of the snow and dust off his body, he looked at the girl again, who seemed to have no real interest in what was going on, yet seemed to be looking for something.

"Hey.. what are you doing on my rooftops?" James asked, his voice calm and emotionless.

[Aeolus]

Someone came. Was this the encounter the moon fortold? Or was this
Person simply a irrevelant detail in the weave of fate and magic?

Faced with this, she was not quite sure what to do.

"...Child harboring infernal sin of Lied Helvka, I ask you only once as the form of Winter... Where is the gate?" She asked, eyes trailing towards the boy, finally landing on him halfway through her words. A chill permenated the air, and slowly, the water she stood on began to freeze.

This demon and child, perhaps, were the encounters. Perhaps they were not. But they were in her way.

[Koti~]

James' eyes narrowed as she spoke, asking for the gate. He tightened his left right hand into a fist, shifting his left foot forward. A chill wind permeated the air, causing the hair on the nape of his neck to stand up. Enza seemed to shiver as well, but now with energy to fight. She took control of the body and flexed his left hand.

"An ally to the angels, huh? Sorry Icy, but you'll have to give up on that, for I won't be telling you" James said, his voice giving off a slight vibe of energy. He looked down to see that the water had started to freeze around her feet, and could already tell that who ever she was, she was not one of the angels, which made her smile.

"So if you think you can take me on, try it" James said, the hair blowing out of his face to show off the demonic eye, the red iris alight with energy and light from the red moon.

[Aeolus]

"..."

Very well, then. He was in her way, now, and she must remove him.

"Farewell, child of Lied Helvka. Shiraiki." And then a sword materialized behind her, softly glowing with a strange power. She grabbed it, eyes oddly unmoved. "Toumin."

And then she attacked, surprisingly light on her feet as she struck forward with a piercing thrust, so graceful she almost seemed to be inviting him for a dance.

[Koti~]

James smiled lightly as the girl dashed forward, a sword having formed in her hand from magic. He knew that this would be an interesting fight and she would provide a great workout, especially with what seemed to be ice magic.

"So, you take the first step. Then let the dance begin" James said, Enza's mind kicking into over drive. He waited until the last second and ducked, resting his weight on his hands. He spun quickly, swinging his feet out towards the girl as the blade passed over his head.

[Aeolus]

A light tap with her free hand on the out stretched leg, and she vaulted herself over the man, high in the air as she watched the demon take over.

"Kajikamu."

The sword shimmered, then turned into pure light as it wrapped itself around her arm. Soon it solidified into a gauntlet, and Kisetsu was plummeting down towards the demon child.

James felt the light touch on his leg, and watched as the woman flipped into the air over his head. He was stunned a bit as the weapon glowed with light and she plummeted towards him

"Shit" James swore internally. He pulled his legs together, and burst to the side as she landed just where he was standing. He looked at where she stood in the rubble, and could see a sizable dent in the ground there.

"Seems like we are going to have to play for keeps today huh? Void fist" James ended off, his hands glowing with energy. The only noticeable difference was it looked like the gloves that covered his hands were now full to the finger tips. He dashed forward, holding his left hand in front of him and the right low and to his side, hand curled into a fist and pointing upwards.

[Aeolus]

As expected, he dodged. He summoned a pale comparison of darkness into his fist, which almost made her want to sigh as she ducked beneath the blow, sending a powerful punch to his stomach. Regardless of whether it hit or not, she jumped back and summoned three small orbs of cold, all floating about her. She paused to take one orb and transform it into six needles, throwing them in the man's direction.

"Muhyo."

The gauntlet shifted and turned to light once again, taking the form of a fan with a field of white flowers that moved as if animated. She held it up to her face, hiding her lips as she stared at the child with half lidded eyes.

James swore as the woman slide under his punch, her eyes cold and uncaring, almost looking annoyed. He quickly side stepped, the punch attack just barely scrapping the side of his shirt and left a small red scratch on his side. The woman jumped back and summoned three orbs, converting them into needles.

"Karma is a pain. Terminal void." James said, ending the void fist spell and activating the two small portals on his hand. He moved his left hand into the path of the needles, pointing his right hand at her. He managed to catch the needles and send it flying back to her, as he noted that she had summoned a giant fan. His smile faltered some, already telling that this fight was going to be a pain

[Aeolus]

He threw them back at her, using more pale imitations. She caught them with her free hand and threw them back at him. She then did something odd.

She smiled.

Suddenly, there was a power about her, a faint glow to her body as her eyes glowed with an odd light. "Fuyu Fukashi."

And then the world was enveloped in white. Everything was ice and snow, the flowers, the stone, the entire rooftop a winter wonderland. She sent the two remaining bolts of ice at the man, honing in on him like heat seeking missles, suddenly more power than there was earlier as she waved the fan, causing ice spikes to shoot up from the ground at his feet.

"Oh shit" James swore, watching as the world shimmered white, blinding his vision for a few seconds. Responding on instinct, he rolled backwards, the ice needles flying over his head and the ice sparks missed his feet by seconds. James stood up, dusting the snow off of his body. Enza was pissed now, and was running on through scenarios after scenarios in her head, not having fought against many ice wielders.

"I think I'm going to give you a crash course in my three step fighting program" James said, holding out his hands and ending the terminal spell. He flexed lightly and summoned the reapers scythe. Spinning it a few times, he allowed his body to roll and relax as the scythe flashed around his body, as he activated the void blade spells on his scythe. He then built up the lightning in his fist, and blasted forward, using the icy terrain to slide towards her. He jumped slightly, letting his feet land in front of him as he swung his scythe at her, his old smile back on his face.

[Aeolus]

A scythe. Really.

Fuyuri looked mildly irritated, reminded of the Summer spirit, and simply stepped forward, past the scythe's blade and grabbing the pole, frowning at the slight pain from the impact. Ice began to spread along it as she frowned at the demon child. "Kajikamu. Don't move." Again, it turned into the gauntlet, and she tugged the scythe to bring him towards her and aimed a punch at his face.

After that, she fell back and switched back to the fan, summoning ten of the shoukans. She then fell into a defensive position, sighing as she felt her mana run low. Damn human shell. Regardless, she began to focus, a shimmering light in her eyes half lidded as she activated Touji to recover lost mana.

James was slightly thrown off guard as the woman grabbed his staff, making it start to freeze. She pulled him in, which he responded by raising his feet and releasing a surge of lightning from his feet as she punched, allowing him to fly back and flip in the air, which made him take notice of two bolts of ice that passed by his head by mere centimeters. He landed on his feet and slammed his scythe blade into the ground, releasing a surge of energy to melt the ice from the scythe.

"Seems like you are slightly more interesting" James said, swinging his scythe as he hit the two bolts with the scythe, the void blade repulsing the bolts of ice exploding into snow. He spun the blade in his hands, relaxing his whole body with the spinning blade.

"First lesson, Never overestimate or underestimate your opponent" James said, taking a defensive position.

[Aeolus]

"That makes no sense what so ever." She felt the need to comment, raising a brow. It was literally impossible to know what the opponent did exactly, so she could only think he was a punk that spouted a bunch of smart sounding shit.

...She was starting to think like Akira now. Crap. Well, trolling the kid sounded alright, but would she really bring herself to Akira's level?

...Nah, it could wait till she recharged.

James finished rolling his body and charged lightning magic into his feet. He blasted forward, this time keeping the blade parallel to his body and just resting behind his back. He charged fire energy into his fist, black flames leaping into life around his left hand.

"You think you have a lead on me, but don't count your win just yet." James said, sliding towards her on the ice, aiming a punch with the hand while pulling back on the scythe.

[Aeolus]

She sighed, now feeling visibly irate, reminded of Natsuo when particularly whiny. She canceled the Touji, feeling recharged enough, and shifted to Kajikamu. When the child was roughly a foot away, she ducked, punching the ground while doing so, causing the ice underneath to shatter and reveal they were on the pond... And the kid was going down.

She stayed atop the pond, frost delicately webbed out beneath her feet, holding her up above the surface. She all but skated back to solid ground as she made the pond freeze once again.

"Fubuki."

The gauntlet turned to light once again, and took the form of a long staff, which she positioned herself into a defensive stance.

"...You are far out of your league. Tell me the location of the gate."

James' smile grew wider, watching the woman aim a punch into the ice, shattering it like frail glass. The ice spider web cracked before completely fading into the pond above them. Enza had been keeping track of the area since the beginning, even with the frozen land, and was planning for this.

"Lesson two, always use your surroundings!" James said, quickly slamming the scythe into the pond, the scythe blade sliding into the water like a heated blade through butter. Pressing off the end, he released a built up surge in his foot, flying high and into the air. He cast the void fist spell, allowing it to coat hands. He again build up a second charge, both with lightning and fire, and slammed into the ground behind the woman, creating a large cloud of dust and steam. He quickly spun around, kicking out with both leg while pushing up and away with his hands, the scythe long having since faded from the lake.

[Aeolus]

"That's a rather pointless lesson, since I just used my surroundings." Fuyuri stated, moving out of the way, as she saw him coming when he was in the air. When he started spinning, she raised a brow and jabbed forward with a well aimed hit to his balls. she then pulled back as quickly as she struck, moving back to sweep his hands beneath him in a graceful low twirl.

She was starting to get tired of this.

James closed his legs together as the staff came close, allowing the attack to just barely miss, making him breath a high sight of relief. He opened the legs as the woman's staff was pulled back, and he slide back some on the ice still left on the ground.

"Heh, you are a quick study." James said, standing and brushing off his clothes happily. He was getting into this fight, and so was Enza. He took a fighting stance and smiled at her.

"Third rule, always remember your surrounding." James said, watching her movements.

[Aeolus]

"Again, pointless. Such a rule would be required to follow rule two, thus cannot be rule three. In short, you're an idiot."

She switched back to Muhyo, deciding to end it all now. She summoned 10 shoukans, using two to keep him occupied briefly as they sped towards him like missiles as she focused on a different type of spell.

Six of the remaining shoukans fanned out, circling the man as one was directly over him. "I tire of this. Daikan." And energy quickly began to spread around the orbs in formation, spreading to each other quickly as they began to spin and create a dome. Once the dome completely closed, nothing was able to escape, and within began a raging blizzard of frost.

She kept the remaining two shoukans beside her as she watched carefully, knowing that her opponent, while having little time to escape, did still have the opportunity to have done so.

James watched the two ice bolts fly towards him, raising his arms in prepared defense, but was slightly shocked as the bolts missed him, making him close his eyes for a second. When next he opened his eyes, a larger amount of those bolts had circled him in a dome. He looked up and saw one of the ice bolts floating above him.

'James, get out!' Enza shouted to him, just in time. He jumped back, yet not fast enough. A cold blast of energy slammed into his back, making him hollow in pain. Rolling across the ground to try and alleviate the icy numbness on his back.

"Alrighty then... I think it's about time to end this" James said, panting some. He summoned his scythe and cast the void blades on it, the purple haze flowing freely around the scythe. Charging his energy again, he surrounded his body in pure lightning, blue sparks crackling around his body freely. He shifted his feet and looked at this woman, who had already tried to kill him already, but now he needed to end this.
