Name: Decimus Blackhawk

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Build: Muscular, but not too big. Decimus is tall, around 6 feet.

Hair: Short, cropped black hair.

Eyes: Hazel, almost green.

Clothes: Decimus wears dark armour consisting of a black tabard, chainmail shirt, plate helm, gauntlets, and boots.

Equpiment: Decimus weilds a longsword called Hellbane. Its hilt is black and the bottom of the hilt ends in a carving of a demonic figure. The blade develops and orange glow whenever it fights an undead or demonic creature and any wounds he leaves on the these enemies sizzle and burn. On the other arm he holds a wickedly bladed shield. Along the edges of the shield are thick blades that could just as easily slash an opponent as block them. Decimus occasionally can use a crossbow, but only if he feels its necesarry

Abilities: Shadow's Gift- Decimus can draw upon dark energies to give him a major boost in strength and endurance. He can only use it once.

Burning Grasp- If Decimus grabs his opponent, he can burn them with his hands. Takes three turns to recharge.

Flamethrower: Decimus can shoot a stream of fire that reaches 20m in front of him. Takes two turns to recharge.

Other Attributes: During the night, Decimus also gets slightly stronger and faster.

Personality: Decimus is a serious person who doesn't say much, and only talks when necesarry. Those who have travelled with him or fought alongside him say he is a great leader however, using his stoic, indomitable presence as a beacon during battles.

Background: Not much is known of Decimus' youth, except that he enlisted with a band of mercenaries at the age of nineteen. He served as a common officer with them until he was twenty-two, when a tragic expedition wiped out most of the group, making him the leader. He lead the group through a prosperous, if short, campaign afterwards until they were eventually wiped out by a rival band. One of the few survivors of the band, Decimus made several dark deals with otherworldly powers in exhange for strength. He went on to avenge his band and now travels alone, occasionally picking up companions. His only goal now is to achieve forgiveness and redemption with his gods for the dark mistakes he made in the past. And he is willing to go through anything the reach this goal.

Race: Human

Build: Lean and short. Marius stands around 5'4.

Hair: Marius has shoulder length dirty-blonde hair. He usually just lets it hang loose from his head without doing anything with it.

Eyes: Crystal Blue

Distinctive Features: Marius has a grizzled look about him, and he has a small scar on his left cheek.

Clothes: When he is prepared for battle, Marius wears dark blue tunic along with a magic amulet.

Weapons: Marius weilds an enchanted staff. It is made of white wood with a blue orb at its head. This staff is unnaturally resilient and is as sturdy as steel. Other than that, Marius has an assortment of spells at his disposal.

Abilities: Fireball- Marius briefly charges up before shooting a small ball of fire from his hands. Takes two turns to recharge.

Lightning Bolt- Marius channels the energy around him for a short period of time before releasing it in a concentrated bolt of electricity. Takes two turns to recharge.

Shockwave- Marius slams his staff into the ground, creating a wall of force and electricity to move out in a wave and smash away anything in its path. Takes four turns to recharge.

Enchanted Amulet- Marius' amulet allows him to generate a force-field like shield in front of him for a few seconds. People can go through it, but projectiles and spells are blocked. Takes five turns to recharge.

Personality: Marius is grumpy and rude almost all the time. The only time he's happy is when he's drunk.

Background: Marius Skystorm used to serve as a wizard for an imperial army during his younger years. After seeing his friends killed and wounded, he retired from the military to study and practice magic more. Relatively young compared to most great magic-users, Marius feels he still has something to prove to the world.

Race: Human

Build: Muscular, stands around 5'10.

Hair: Arrel has short brown hair.

Eyes: Red

Distinctive Features: Arrel has a long scar that wraps all the way around his neck, and sometimes during battle his teeth began to get more canine characteristics.

Clothes: Arrel wears full dark leather armor.

Weapons: Arrel weilds a two handed sword called Redfang. It has a faint red aura eminating from it and the blade itself is red. The hilt is dark black with a figurine of a talon holding a red orb at the bottom. Whenever Arrel slays or draws blood from a foe, the sword gains energy from it and transfers it to him.

Abilities: Warp Blast- If Redfang builds up enough energy, Arrel can release it in the form of a concentrated blast that shoots out from the sword.

Minor Regeneration- If Redfang draws enough energy, Arrel can choose to bring it into himself rather than shoot it as an attack. If he does this than he can regenerate small cuts and slashes, or he can just gain power from it if he is uninjured.

Personality: Arrel is sinister and sneaky. While a loyal companion to those he considers friends, everyone else is just an obstacle to him, another pin he might need to knock down eventually. He doesn't show this on the outside, however, and often appears friendly and charming to everyone he meets. Excpet towards gnomes and any other race smaller than dwarves; He hates little people.

Background: Arrel was a mercenary in the same band as Decimus. During the raid that finally destroyed the band, Arrel was grievously wounded. He enetered a coma and was eventually nursed back to health by a nearby town. Arrel was not motivated by revenge as his old partner Decimus was, however, and he set off in pursuit of a treasure the locals of the village talked about. He tracked it to a forgotten crypt at the base of an old keep and journeyed through it until he reached the lowest level of the catacombs.

It was there he found the sword Redfang lying on an ancient altar. After picking it up, he drove him mad and tainted him, causing his eyes to turn red. Arrel returned to the town that nursed him and slaughtered everyone. Later, when his rage was subdued, he was so greif stricken that he attempted to hang himself. It was not long afterwards that he was found by Decimus and cut down. Arrel tried to explain to him about what happened, about how he had been corrupted and tainted by the sword's power. Decimus only nodded knowingly and told him to join him. From that day onward, Arrel has been fighting to control the urges of Redfang. It is a battle he has been slowly losing.

Name: Kerizan Ishmarael

Build: He's built muscular, but not bulky. He stands at 7' feet.

Clothes: Kerizan has a suit of spiked dark armor that he wears almost all the time. He also has an enchanted emerald that gives him some of his unnatural strength and speed, which is socketed in his armor.

Weapons: Kerizan weilds a massive sword called Warpfire. It can be weilded like a regular two-handed sword, but also has a handle in the middle of the blade, allowing it become a more effective blocking weapon. Warpfire is also enchanted with various runes running across the balde, giving it almost unnatural sharpness and causes whatever wounds it creates to burn and become resistant to magical healing. (Does not mean totally resistant.)

Ability: Hellfire- Kerizan lets out a jet of dark green flames from his hand that reaches about 20 meters.

Burning Grasp- Kerizan's hands are temporarily engulfed in green fire and will burn anything he touches.

Demonic Wall: Kerizan can create a translucent black barrier in front of him that stops projectiles and magical attacks.

Warpslash: Kerizan swings Warpfire in a large arc in front of him. The sword, meanwhile, shoots forth green fire that continues on for another 10 meters.

Personality: Kerizan is evil. He is ruthless and determined to achieve his goals and, unfortunately, loves going out of his way to cause as much mayhem and pain along the way. He lies and schemes, and any alliance with him will usually end up with a knife in your back, if for no other reason than for him to eliminate a possible challenge in the future.

Background: Kerizan Ishmarael was born over four hundred years ago in a turbulent land and with a different name; Darius. He was the son of a king, and was given the best education, both in common knowledge and in miltary tactics, and was given the best fighting training. But, despite having excellent teachers and mentors, he had little else. His father's kingdom was in chaos, and Darius had to grow up fast. When he was 17, rebellion spread across his father's land, and he was soon out on the battlefield, fighting for his king.

It quickly became apparent that the prince was an excellent fighter and tactician, and soon battles were beginning to turn in the king's favor. But then, Darius made a deal with the rebellion. With his help, they would overthrow the king, and Darius would become the new king. Would become a better king.

All went according to plan. The king's armies faltered as Darius lead them purposely to ruin, and his father was executed. But Darius never upheld his part of the bargain. He slew all of the rebellion's leaders one night, and became the king. And he had no one to answer to.

He quickly began to outpace his father in cruel deeds and harsh laws, and even began to torture people, a practice that had never been done in his father's land. Soon, dark strangers began to flock to Darius' court, and his kingdom began to slowly take on a solemn, shadowy aspect to it.

After Darius began to collect dark wizards and evil leaders into his council, he began to use them as leaders in his army, and he soon put this army to use. His kingdom began to grow in power as he conquered and ravaged more and more lands. But the natural power he had in his control was not enough.

He gathered all of the arcane practitioners under his command and set up a ritual. In the middle of the throne room, a ritual pattern was drawn on the floor and in the middle stood Darius. But Darius' ritual involved a demon, and this demon had other plans for such a wicked man. When the demon was summoned from hell, it simply laughed and grabbed Darius. Horror filled Darius as he realized his wizards had betrayed him, and the demon dragged him down to hell.

10 years passed, and the land had a new dark ruler. But one day, the ritual pattern reappeared where it had once been drawn ten years ago, and the portal to hell reopened. As the new ruler watched in awe, a figure in dark armor stepped out from the portal. He said not a word, but simply walked up and slew the king where he sat. After taking his place on the throne, he looked out at the people before him and claimed the kingdom as his own again.

After he stepped out of the portal though, it didn't close. Demons began to emerge almost immediately, and they commenced in slaughtering most of everyone in the kingdom. A few they kept as slaves, and the demons soon opened up more portals and began erecting massive spires and dark structures out of a demonic metal that they brought through the portals.

Darius' old kingdom is a darker place now, clustered with demonic spires and swarming with legions of demonic creatures. It has a new leader too. The king insists that whoever 'Darius' was died long ago. Now, Kerizan is the king.

Clothes: Marr wears leather armor and boots along with his enchanted gauntlet which he wears on his left hand.

Equipment: Marr carries two long kama on his back which are called Sun and Moon. These enchanted weapons, when weilded together, embody the elements of light and darkness and allow the weilder to draw the power of either the sun or the moon into themselves, depending on which one is overhead at the time. Marr also has a magical gauntlet called The Naga's Claw. This artifact can manipulate fire and allow the wearer of the guantlet to shape and control it.

Abilities: Martial Arts- Marr is a master at hand to hand combat; even without his kama he is still a deadly warrior. His complete expertise allows him to do extraordinary things like punch through the thickest solid objects and land multiple attacks while in the air.

Sun and Moon- Depending on which one is overhead, Marr gains a specific bonus:
Moon- When the moon is out, Marr develops surreal reflexes and speed.
Sun- In the daylight, Marr becomes stronger and very resistant to magic.

Manipulate Fire- As long as Marr is wearing The Naga's Claw, he can control fire anywhere nearby. This even includes wresting the control away from another if they are using fire in a magical manner.

Levitation- Through extremely concentrated training, Marr has learned of the ancient monk talent of levitation. This allows him to jump farther and higher and practically float back to the surface.

Regeneration- Over the course of his lifetime, Marr has become so in tune with his body that he can literally control every inch of his muscle and frame. If he receives a wound, he can compel his muscles and skin to reform back to it's previous condition.

Other Attributes: Marr is a dark elf, so he has enhanced hearing and vision that is better than the average human's.

Personality: Marr is very solemn; rumor has it that he has not smiled once in the past century. He has a strict moral code and has dedicated his life to the perfection of his martial skills.

Background: Marr grew up in a monk's monastary. Orphaned before he even knew his parents, the monk's martial lifestyle was the only thing he's ever known. He was always completely dedicated to the monastary's goals and eventually became a highly respected member of the monk's order. Marr eventually became a teacher at the monastary.
But as time went on, he became restless. After his 100th year at the monastary, Marr finally left his home and set out into the world. He has spent his years roaming the world and seeing all the wonders it has to offer. He's visited other monastaries along the way, and has become a true master of martial combat. Marr is unrivaled across the world, and he will eagerly prove it to anyone who disagrees.
