This looks to be fun, and i need to jump in and get involved with the site somehow, so I figured why not start somewhere I have experience with and won't be disturbing anybody else? Hope to fight you soon. *stormwolf*

Name: Veman Quartztongue
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Race: Goliath
Appearance: Veman is an impressive figure even among the most amazing people around, standing at 7'4 and weighing 310 pounds, only the bravest dare to challenge him. His grey skin is dotted by brownish-black markings, most of them are 10 centimeters or so long while waving. His arms are covered in small pebble like growths made of bone, as is his chest. His burly muscles seem capable of ripping a man in half with little effort. His bald head has no eyebrows, instead having a bony ridge over each small, pupiless blue glowing, eye.
Attire: Veman loves to wear a variety of clothes, but his main outfit is a brilliant, Crimson Red, V-neck, vest. And a pair of black pants. In hot weather he often wears a White Bandana around his head.
Battle Attire: Veman changes out his pants for a pair of white shorts, and, though he loves his vest dearly, often fights without wearing a shirt at all.
Personality: Veman is a very loud and confident man, He loves competition in all its forms (a common trait amongst Goliaths) and hates losing. Despite this though he is generally an incredibly friendly fellow and loves making new friends.
First Impressions: If you don't run in terror at the towering behemoth of a man approaching, you may realize he's a very nice guy.
Strength: Growing up in the mountains, Veman is incredibly strong, able to pick up fully grown men and throw them almost 15 feet with little effort (His Record is 27!)
Speed: Speed is the only thing Veman really lacks in, It's not that he is slow, but he weighs so much and is used to living in very difficult terrain where a single misstep would send you hurtling to your death, making him move at a slower pace then he could.
Reflexes: Veman posseses very good reflexes, able to shift his weight and adjust to shifts in balance with very little difficulty. But with his size moving his body quickly is harder, and with his tougher body he often doesn't react to bodily damage.
Endurance: As a member of a Nomadic tribe, Veman is used to long walks and climbs through harsh mountains for days on end. His lack of formal training means he is not so great at taking hits effectively, but even a blow that would probably knock out a smaller human, would wind him at best.
Fighting style: Veman loves to grapple with individuals, His long arms, strength, and great weight, giving him the clear advantage. Sometimes he finds this too easy or unfair and loves to punch and kick (usually aiming for the legs or arms so as not to "Seriously" injure an enemy). When in a life or death battle though he will show his skill with a bastard sword to devastating effect.
Weapon: A glorious double edged blade known as Baneguard, it is 4 feet long, with an additional handle length of 9 inches. It's 3 inches from blade to blade, and almost half an inch thick. The blade is perfectly designed for Veman, as it was custom made by an old dwarven friend of his, with a griffin design along each side of the blade. The sword allows Veman to detect undead within a 500 ft radius.
Armor: Armor is for the weak.
Abilities: Veman has a few abilities he has developed over the years and one he was born with.
Stone's Endurance: His skin becomes as hard as stone for a few seconds, blocking nearly any blades. (Usable once per fight, Instantaneous, but strenous)
Lithoderm shot: The lithoderms (Small pebble like growths) on Veman's arms shoot off at very high speeds, These are painful to be hit by, but is incredibly painful for him too. (Can be shot once per arm, Take a week to regrow)
Powerful shout: With a mighty bellow enemies are (Depending on their weight) 1. Knocked off their feet, 2. Pushed Back, or 3. Have their ears go deaf for a brief time. (Can't be underattack, Leaves Veman out of breath,)
Earth Breaker: With a powerful Jump or Stomp, Veman can make the earth shatter into splinters, These can come off at high speeds and hurt a persons legs. Also if done near a person it is hard to keep balance. (Can't be used on soft ground, Can only be used 2x a fight.)
History: Veman was actually born with no last name growing up in a community where such things had no purpose. Living the nomadic life of the mountain dwelling goliaths, he grew strong and skilled at hunting and climbing. When he turned to the age of 16 he decided he wanted more out of life and left his tribe.
Soon after leaving the mountains Veman truly appreciated the scope of the world, Often wandering about with no direction in particular, People unfamiliar with his kind sometimes called him a monster, others thought he was some type of stone giant, But most just ignored him. After observing the tradition of last name's he started calling himself Quartztongue, hoping to bring his tribe glory in his own little way.
Wandering from city he eventually signed up for the simple job of caravan guarding, He became an even better fighter through many hard journeys, until he ended up in the Dwarven city of Adamantine Corridors, where some brave and brash dwarf (The King in Disguise) challenged him to a wrestling contest.
Against all odds Veman lost, and the two became good friends, The King actually created the blade Veman wields, with such skill, that people say it was his masterpiece. Veman still returns to the city often.
Continuing on his tour of the world Veman once got into a bar brawl, People were so impressed that they never even charged him, and begged and pleaded with him to join the local arena. So he did, hoping for a challenge.
He became a great gladiator and eventually moved to a larger city, and now waits for any opponent brave (or stupid?) enough to face him.
