Titan. A word that, in the modern age, means different things to different regions. But, in ancient times, the name referred to great entities that lived beyond the realm of mortals. Creatures with no true form in their own realm. The Elysians knew of them and of the great power they possessed. It was from these Titans that they learned the art of magic.

It was also by the hands of these Titans that Elysium was nearly destroyed.

The first to be summoned was Erakel, later named the Storm Lord. It manifested in Elysium as a great flying Manta Ray. With him, Erakel brought great storms down upon the enemies of her summoners. It was Erakel who revealed the truth of her kind’s intentions and it was she who turned part of Elysium into a frozen waste.

Next was Kozek, the Butcher. Manifesting as a massive creature of iron, Kozek brought ruin to cities with ease. When the revealing came, Kozek was the first to be targeted by the Elysian mages. He crushed the first Harbinger of Life between his hands before his iron shell was split open.

Eldred, the Perverter of Thought, manifested as a huge humanoid torso attached to a splitting snake body. After the revealing, he corrupted many Elysians and twisted them into his own drones and mindless warriors. When he was banished, his minions were locked deep beneath the earth.

Caelec, the Great Beast. Manifesting as a serpentine leviathan, Caelec was an even greater destructive force than the Butcher. In insatiable creature of rage, Caelec was the hardest to fight. In fact, Caelec was not able to be banished back to the Titan’s realm. Instead, she was put into a great slumber and sealed beneath the ice of Elysium. Still, she sleeps.

It was always the hope that the rift between the realm of mortals and the timeless abyss of the Titans would remain sealed. But, such violent and forceful openings like the one’s used to banish the Titans were bound to have a weakening effect.

It is still hoped that the Titans never return to Ashaheim. If they did, who could say what ruin they would visit upon the realms?
