Múspellsheimr is a land of intrigue and constant threat. Lying upon on the ruins of the once powerful Stygian empire it contains a myriad of races. All of which are quite hostile to one another in what is mostly considered territorial disputes. The most prominent races are the dragons and the fire giants who are in a constant rivalry.

The Fire Giant Tribes live within the mountains to the north, and even make homes in some of the volcanoes. They are an aggressive people, which make crossing the mountain range near impossible. They attack and raid all other races, even going as far as proclaiming that they are superior to all others.

Black Hounds are otherwise known as black dogs, yeth, gwyllgi, or barguists are said to be wandering spirits who have not passed on to the afterlife. Although Múspell is host to many sightings of such a creature, Black Hounds are known to sprout up all over Ashahiem.

-I shall finish this up later.

Name of Race: Lohikäärme, or what they are more commonly referred to as Dragons.
Physical Traits: Although they are famous for being reptilian due to having a scaly epidermis and reproduction through eggs, due to both their biology and behavior they more closely resemble felines, especially large cats such as lions and panthers. At the very least their posture, bone structure, movements are similar. Other similarities between the draconian and feline creatures are that they are both warm blooded and nearly the same eye composition. The color of their scales can range to nearly any shade on the spectrum including metallic colors like gold and silver. A dragons wingspan depends on on it's environment and it's actual need to fly for some dragons don't fly at all. Dragons vary in size but almost always at least larger than your average sized house. Often they are born with unique combinations of fins and horns, which can be used to distinguish two dragons of the same color. Dragons are famous for their powerful magic, and often use it to polymorph themselves into other sentient races in order to mingle among them. Usually it's to further ulterior motives, but on occasion dragons will actually enjoy being who they deceiving everyone to believe and will remain in their polymorphed form for years, decades, and perhaps even centuries.

Homeland: It is said that they originated in Niflheim, but it has yet to be proven. They are however known frequent both Niflheim, and Múspellsheimr sometimes even Asthlare and the Draca Isles although not many.

Racial Strengths: Sheer power. They are symbols of power within nearly every realm, and know it. A dragons size, and strength would be enough to kill you strongest warriors but that added to their breath weapon and inherent ability to take flight makes them nearly impossible to kill even with an entire army at your back. For this reason any who slay dragon will forever be celebrated as a great hero and warrior. Aside from their combat prowess they are also calculating and intelligent, often plotting and fiddling into the affairs of mortals. Some of the more powerful dragons can cast spells, and speak in many different languages other than Draconian.

Racial Weaknesses: Due to their extremely long lifespans which almost borders on immortality, many dragons have found themselves bored. This makes them very curious creatures to anything that is even remotely interesting. This could be used to trick a dragon, but be aware that in no way is a dragon stupid and if your found out be prepared to meet an untimely doom.

Cultural Practices: Despite occasionally being apart of clans, they still remain a very ungregarious people often intentionally creating their lairs leagues away from each other. They are highly territorial and will destroy entire landscapes to drive away any supposed invaders including other dragons. Dragons like any predator has very acute senses that only get better with age save for their sense of touch which diminishes as their scales get thicker. Depending on the dragon in question their actually tastes can be especially different from one another for while some may prefer flesh others prefer stone and other minerals. They have even been rumors of dragons who are entirely herbivores.

History: Not much is actually known about the species other than what can be studies through "friendly" dragons, and already dead dragons. It has concluded however that their origin had something to do with gods themselves.

Muspellian dragons usually make their lairs within the caverns of the old Stygian city, and come out every so often to feed. Some dragons will stay cool by either digging themselves in the sand, or by swimming in the ocean. Most Muspellian dragons host darker colors for their scales ranging from browns to black although a few red dragons are known to make lairs in the Alnar mountains to north to the constant annoyance of all the fire giant tribes. It has been known for the Muspellian dragons to live as humans, and sometime even dark elves often doing so out of curiosity for the younger species.
