Ancient Elysium was home to many cultural offshoots of the Elysian people. Many ruins and old temples still stand in the great jungles and ancient races of animals and hostile monsters still live. The beasts of the Frozen Waste, known to the Elysians as Cocytus, are some of the most deadly encountered in Elysium
The Cyclops clans dwell deep within the jungles, making their homes mostly around the deep fissures and deep cave systems. They are normally a passive people known to the Elysians as great smiths. They are most commonly encountered by Elysian hunters.
The Giants are spread all over Elysium in both the jungles and the wastes. They are a hostile and aggressive people. This makes traversing their territories dangerous, even more so when they make camps near common trade routes. The Frost Giants are a constant threat to the Elysians of Cocytus.
Cerberus is one of the great old beasts of Elysium. The massive, three-headed hound guards the entrance to Tartarus, the fortress of the Millennium King. He allows any with peaceful intent to enter and leave at their leisure. No hostile force has broken past the dread hound.
Gorgons are some of the deadliest monsters dwelling in the ancient jungles. Their navigation of the jungle is unmatched, making them able to hunt an quarry with ease. It is said that each Gorgon has her own collection of victim statues in her lair.
