Pokémon World League (OOC/Now open!)

You're sitting home watching television when suddenly an advertisement that caught your eyes starts.
You see a Charizard using Fireblast, then the camera changes on Feraligatr that uses Hydro Pump to extinguish the Fireblast. Then as the steam is formed Sceptile jumps from it and charges down readying its Leaf Blade, and then camera changes to Infernape who jumps up and blocks the Leaf Blade with Fire Punch. As Leaf Blade and Fire Punch clashed, the explosion creates and suddenly a logo appears with a voice saying:

"Pokémon World League!"

And the voice continues to talk: "Each year one of the Leagues in one region is held for trainers to participate in Pokémon battles. Kanto League, Johto League, Hoenn League and Sinnoh League! But, after each of this Leagues are held, a greater one starts: Pokémon World League; where trainers from all over the world go to participate."
Then four people on four screens appear on TV. They are professor Oak, professor Elm, professor Birch and professor Rowan. Then the voice continues, "From each region we have each professor to say something to you trainers."

Oak: "Pokémon World League is the ultimate test for all the new and old trainers in Pokémon battles."

Elm: "This will test out how trully good you trained your Pokémons."

Rowan: "And will also show how bonded you are with your Pokémons."

Birch: "But thats not all. For all the new Trainers, each of us professors will give out, not three starter Pokémons, but twelve! Three from each region."

Oak: "They are, of Kanto: Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander."

Elm: "Of Johto: Chikorita, Totodile and Cyndaquil."

Birch: "Of Hoenn: Treecko, Mudkip and Torchic."

Rowan: "And of Sinnoh: Turtwig, Piplup and Chimchar."

The screen fades black and now it shows a shower of badges. Voice saying: "To participate in World Tournament you'll also have to gather badges. But its different this time: You must gather 2 badges from Kanto, 2 badges from Johto, 2 badges from Hoenn and two badges from Sinnoh. After you do, only thing you need to do is show all 8 badges to a officer Jenny who will then tell you where the Tournament is held.
See you at the championship, Trainer."
And the advertisement ends.

All the regular rules of Roleplaying are applied, and also some other ones to keep the whole RP clean:

1. Your characters cannot swear. Much like they don't swear in anime and games, lets keep it like that too.

2. If you suddenly disappear and can't post, I'll give you a week to reappear. If you don't, your character will mysteriously disappear too.

3. You can only Roleplay trainers.

4. It would be very appreaciated if you all start out with 12 starter Pokémons listed (this is rule recently added)

When she did outlast past the doctors expectations she was christened "Thyme". Because she's been so closely guarded for her delicate health most of her life Thyme is terrified of the outside world. However she's grown up around Pokemon most of her life and has only just decided she wants to be a trainer. That news didn't go over well with her parents.

She can seem cold at times, but only because winning is a very high priority for her. She is also something of a wildlife girl, a heeder of the survival of the fittest rule.

Brief Biography: Ever since very little, Linda has been wanting to become a Pokémon trainer. More specificly a Pokémon master, but trainer is a required step on the way. Having grown up in Lilycove City-Hoenn, Linda has at times had the fortune of coming across Professor Birch during one of his many tours outdoors. He is a man that has ended up peaking Linda's interest in the monsters all across the world.

At home, she has piles of books and massive computer files with data on Pokémon and is at the same time a significant member of the Pokémon Trainer Fan Club, a leader role to some. Brief Biography: Ever since she was little she has loved water pokemon and her favorite pokemon ever is a Milotic and her dream is to get one someday. She lives in the Sinnoh region and works at a Pokemart.

Personality: His personality ranged from very hyperactive when outside of a battle to a clumsy dolt in battle. He spent most of his life studying Pokemon and watching battles, but when actually in a stressful situation he tends to freeze up.

Brief Biography: Sayl grew up in the Sinnoh reason in the city of Veilstone and quickly gained the habit of spending his free time inside of the gym watching various trainers battle. Throughout his childhood he wanted nothing more than to eventually become a trainer and beat Maylene's Lucario in a battle.

Name:Joseph "Joe" Burns

Gender:Male

Appearance: Shoulder length red hair. Eyes of amber which can chill a man to his bones because it seems like nothing can hide from them. He wears a black long-sleeve school uniform with a white t-shirt underneath to hide his life's scars and battles to gain the strength he presently has. He wears unassuming and comfortable blue shoes with white socks for those long journeys.

Personality: An all around good guy. Ambitious, strong, and passionate. If you are not useful to him, then you are thrown away like weak old trash. However, as long as you are useful you are taken care of with the best of his ability.

Brief Biography: No real home to speak of. Because he was taken from it at a very young age. He had traveled around the world to find it and his family. When he did find his family, he saw the strength his father wielded. He found a desire to become stronger than his father was, at near to all costs. He felt he needed to show, prove something to him and himself. He left a note on his father's desk saying "Next we meet. I will be stronger than you."

Name: Alexander (Alex) Philips

Personality: Excited and smart young man, always cheerful and friendly with both Pokémons and human beings. Although in the heat of the certain things he'd get pretty rash.

Brief Biography: A city kid born in Hearthome City. Much of his life he spent learning about Pokémons rather than having a practice with them. Reason to that is that in his household Pokémons are forbidden, but even he doesn't know why. His wish is to become a Pokémon Trainer just because of his love for Pokémons, and he'll do anything to become one. Even if he needs to run away from home.

Benefits you'll have as a Pokémon Trainer:

- You can catch a Pokémon in any circumstances: normally by battling it and catching it when its weak, befriend it to join your team, etc.

- Not only will you control your Trainer, you'll also control every Pokémon you catch. Which means you can add any kind of personality to that Pokémon.

- Much like in anime Pokémons can learn various moves under certain conditions:
--By training it hard to learn it
--By under some circumstances (losing a battle, emotional circumstances, etc. although don't overuse this)

- Your Pokémon can learn moves according to games (Level-Up moves and TM/HM compatible moves). To check those moves check this site (http://www.psypokes.com/dex/index.php) and search for any Pokémon. And be sure to check it TM moves for all generations.

- Wild Pokémons not necessarily have to know only 'Level-Up' moves. You can encounter a Zubat that knows Hidden Power or Mankey that knows Ice Punch. Although don't make them know super moves like Blizzard, Flame Wheel, Hyper Beam,...

- Occasional side-plots are allowed.

Personality: Mindy loves her pokemon, she would do anything for them and trains them relentlessly. During battle she will often ask her pokemon what ability they want to use but don't be fooled, she is an expert and will usually win the battle. She has a laid-back personality and doesn't get angered easily, she's always up for a challenge though and is very competitive. A quirk about Mindy though is that she never speaks unless absolutely necessary, she communicates to her pokemon through hand signals and she almost never speaks to other people unless they speak first. Most think she's mute but she really just doesn't care to talk.

Brief Biography: Mindy grew up in a average family, her family owns the local pokemart in Sandgem town so she grew up around pokemon and saw pokemon that visited from nearly everywhere. Her favorite pokemon ever though is a Milotic, that she saw battling with a Gyarados one day and was immediately stricken with it. Because of that she has taken a liking to water pokemon but is planning on getting pokemon of all types.

Yeah, you'll get to choose one once the RP starts. Think of it as you really do start up a Pokémon journey, though doesn't mean you'd have to start as a total newbie with Pokémons.

Well Mudkip is technically a water type but when it evolves its a water-ground type, and most of it's moves are throwing mud and tackling, though it does have hydro-pump *looks at pokemon handbook* but anyway I might've made this decision without my sister around...but we worked it out *gestures to tied up sister* And we both agree that since this is mostly my character, and her favorite pokemon's going to be Milotic (also my fav XD) that she should be mostly water type. but we are going to add some fire and physic in there somewhere

Appearance: Shoulder length red hair. Eyes of amber which can chill a man to his bones because it seems like nothing can hide from them. He wears a black long-sleeve school uniform with a white t-shirt underneath to hide his life's scars and battles to gain the strength he presently has. He wears unassuming and comfortable blue shoes with white socks for those long journeys.

Personality: An all around good guy. Ambitious, strong, and passionate. If you are not useful to him, then you are thrown away like weak old trash. However, as long as you are useful you are taken care of with the best of his ability.

Brief Biography: No real home to speak of. Because he was taken from it at a very young age. He had traveled around the world to find it and his family. When he did find his family, he saw the strength his father wielded. He found a desire to become stronger than his father was, at near to all costs. He felt he needed to show, prove something to him and himself. He left a note on his father's desk saying "Next we meet. I will be stronger than you."



My list of faves would be Squirtle, Charmander, Chikorita, Totodile,Torchic, Trecko, Chimchar, and Turtwig. Empoleon can bite me.

Fun Factoid: When I was like 5-ish I got pokemon and Dora the Explorer mixed up. so when me and my dad were having a "battle" He would say something like "I choose pikachu (or mew 2 which was the best pokemon way back when) and I would say "Backpack, I choose you!" XD

Well, thats why you don't have to attend all the Gyms. You can get a badge from Violet City gym, skip through some gym and then next one in Olivine City before setting to new region. Or however would you like.

Personality: Excited and smart young man, always cheerful and friendly with both Pokémons and human beings. Although in the heat of the certain things he'd get pretty rash.

Brief Biography: A city kid born in Hearthome City. Much of his life he spent learning about Pokémons rather than having a practice with them. Reason to that is that in his household Pokémons are forbidden, but even he doesn't know why. His wish is to become a Pokémon Trainer just because of his love for Pokémons, and he'll do anything to become one. Even if he needs to run away from home.

ummm we are allowed to pick pokemon from other regions( Kanto, Johto, Heonn, Sinnoh) ...right? just as long as they are in the right locations(Mountains, rocky areas/ rough terrain, caves, forests, urban areas, grasslands, shallow water/ beach, the sea/lake).

Yes they do, you can have them learn basic moves like Mud Slap or Water Gun.

And yes you can, you can get any Pokémon from the list I shown in my latest IC post (those are for Route 202 only). There will be no special conditions for them like in games. -che-
