You're an adventurer, a gentleman of fortune traveling the world in search for adventures, fortune and glory. You are currently in South America, in a small town where you've been living for the last few days looking for work. Work has been scarce, though - there's not exactly an abundance of work around for adventurers. You are thinking you may have to travel north soon, to see if you can find work there instead.

Life has a strange way of yanking one's life when one least expect it, though. When you are on your way to the bar to grab a drink one evening, your attention is caught by a notice on a wall outside the bar. It is a small note, but the words are enough to make a grin spread across your face as you read it.

Experienced treasure hunters wanted for archaeological expedition!

Archaeological education meritous. Bring your own equipment. No payment, but percentage of profits upon success is given to every participant. Come to Pub Villa in Porto Villa, Mato Grosso on the 7th, if interested. Only a limited number of applicants will be hired on. Do not bring friends, or friends of friends.

Only a week later, on the 7th, you find yourself in the shady city of Porto Villa, on the banks of one of the countless rivers leading into the Pantanal region of Brazil. Your next adventure has begun.

Personality: Has a lot of attitude. He is cynical, ruthless against his enemies, somewhat greedy, and not least, has a smart mouth.

Profession: Calls himself an adventurer (De-facto mercenary)

Current employment: Private security contractor, illegal mining operation, Brazil.

Biography: Rowe Breen spent his youth with his uncle, Ben Breen, a businessman trading in arms in the Middle-East. Because of this, he and Rowe lived in many Middle-Eastern countries, such as Egypt, UAE, Bahrain and Israel. This allowed Rowe to learn Arabic at a young age, which would later aid him when he turned eighteen. At that time, Rowe joined the British Army, initially to serve in the role of airborne infantry.

Only three years into his life in the Army, Rowe was recruited to the Special Reconnaissance Regient, a covert military intelligence operations unit that carried out intelligence- and counter-terrorist operations all over the world. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan with the unit, being decorated for heroism once, and wounded twice, though he got away with minor scrapes and burns on both occasions. He marked himself as a cold and calculating soldier who didn't hesitate to get his hands dirty if necessary to get the job done. He was bright, ruthless, and skilled; a perfect combination for a soldier that worked the shadowy world of intelligence.

His career with the SRR, however, ended at the age of 28, when he was discharged from the Army for an accidental shooting with taliban forces in Afghanistan, where several civilians were killed. Though it was never proven that the killing bullets came from Breen's rifle, he was chosen to take the fall when the Ministry of Defense needed a scapegoat. This left Breen somewhat of a cynic. A few weeks after his discharge, he disappeared in South America, where he, after his disappearance, began to work as a mercenary.

It was at this time that he first came into contact with Professor Jorge Guevara, who would later drag him with him on many of his adventures. He grew more and more displeased with the professor, however, and in time, cut all ties with him, to begin working for a Brazilian crime lord who ran illegal diamond mining operations on indian territory in Brazile.

Personality:Emerson is a street-wise individual with a streak of recklessness, prone to ill-advised one-man forays into the jungles in between charters. Around most others, he tends to come off as a cocky, somewhat self-centered but for the most part friendly thrill-seeker.

There are very few things he opposes outside of the prospect of incarceration, and would much prefer the death penalty over prison in any situation. Thus far, he's been lucky enough to not do anything drastic enough that his employer couldn't buy him out of it.

He's also a habitual gambler when not on the job, and while he usually wins, the odd loss can often leave him stranded somewhere for weeks, though he usually makes it all back bu picking up a high-profile job.

Profession:Pilot and Driver, Specializing in unregistered forays into virtually unmapped territory.

Current employment:Having lost his personal Cessna in a poker game, Emerson is essentially stranded in Porto Villa trying to pick up work.

Appearance:Mid-height and slim, with an unkempt mane of brown hair and dull grey-green eyes. He looks very much plain, and clothing wise generally dresses in mismatched military apparel, for utility if nothing else.

Biography: Born in Italy, but moved with his father to Boston, in the united states when he was only four years old, Emerson learned to be street-smart early on. He didn't bother with his education until late into high school when he decided to become a pilot.

At 18 he flew back to Italy and enlisted in the Italian Air Force, which he stayed in for four years before receiving a dishonorable discharge for taking a prototype fighter jet out for a joyride.

Being broke after his discharge due to gambling debys, Emerson took his first real job, that being an unregistered flight across the Atlantic to Mexico for a millionaire needing to disappear for a time.

With the payout, he purchased himself a Four-seater Cessna and flew down to south America, where he had been jumping people from place to place for as long as he can remember, everything from guns into the US to Drugs out of Brazil. He's smart enough to only take Dead-Drops for illegal cargo so he isn't part of the witness clean up.

Lately he's realized that his luck won't hold and only takes passenger jobs, but recently he lost the Cessna in a gamble, and is hedging this latest job as his only chance for a payout, having already attained on loan an Ex-Russian MIlitary Six-Seater AN-2 Hydroplane (http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$%28KGrHqZ,!jgE1uYT6qBnBNnrdLZ%28Zw~~_3.JPG) for the job, and hoping for one last big payout before he skips out of the country.

Personality: Catherine is an optimistic and strong woman, always looking for ways to push forward and defeat whatever opposition steps in front of her. She is a problem solver, never letting a tough situation get the better of her. Catherine is one of those people who is never satisfied. Silences bother her and slacking bothers her more. She has to keep herself busy with whatever she can find at hand or else she feels she is betraying her ideals of always pushing forward. Her opinions are well grounded with her being a realist, so she always knows what the boundaries are in situations and relationships. If something is a lost cause, she'll know it and try to find a way around it. If there are no ways, defeat is the only other option. Catherine has failed many times in the past, but now she works harder than ever to commend herself for those mistakes.

Profession: Archaelogy.

Current employment: Freelance mercenary/explorer/archaologist.

Equipment: She has a Jericho 941 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_941) semi-automatic pistol and a Remington scoped bolt action rifle.

Appearance: Appearance: Catherine has light and fair skin that is generally undamaged despite all the years of struggle she has been put through. She has brown hair tied back into a ponytail, a few gray hairs starting to show up. Catherine is about 5'10 in height and has a relatively thin frame. She wears a dark, short sleeved shirt with a tactical vest over-top; worn jeans, and combat boots on her feet. On her hip she has a holster for her Jericho 941 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_941) semi-automatic pistol. Along with that she has a bolt-action Remington rifle with a scope attached and a strap for easier carrying.

Biography: Catherine was born in Moscow, Russia, living in a lower class family. Life was tough at first, giving Catherine many challenges that she'd have to face at an earlier age. She had to learn how to take care of herself, make good choices, and know how to work hard right from the start. Growing up Catherine wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life. She wasn't interested in any of the subjects presented in the classrooms, so she was forced to look elsewhere for inspiration.

Catherine eventually just decided to leave her home and explore the world. It seemed like a foolish idea, but truthfully she wasn't sure what else to do with her life. On her treks she went through various forests and clearings, learning a lot about the environment. Eventually she found a profession that dealt a lot with exploration: archaelogy. She learned as much as she could about archaelogy in schools and joined a small group of archaelogists known for their dangerous escapades.

Their journeys took place all over the place, especially in the countries of Africa, where countless artifacts of legend were stored. Of course, this sort of thing became dangerous after a while, so Catherine eventually got herself a pistol for protection, as occasionally there were troublesome mercenary groups to deal with.

Years later, Catherine is now working freelance and finding work all over the world. Now she finds herself in South America, venturing in a little town called Porto Villa, drawn in by a mysterious message that promised adventure.
