The universe is not only comprised of humans of coarse. There are many creatures and races. Strange and beautiful. Horrifying but graceful. Predators, and prey. Some are animalistic, while others are quite sentient and even far surpassing the intelligence of man. The pages of the Bestiary is one full of wonder as we ponder over the lives that breathes life into this world.

Note: Due to my personal beliefs that dwarves, gnomes, and halfings are all redundant races they shall not be permitted. Sorry, but I think a regular human with dwarfism would fit the bill just fine while also adding a bit more realism to the role.

They have a caste system in their society built up of three parts. The Ruling Caste. The Warrior Caste. The Temple Caste. The ruling caste is made up of primarily elder females and the warrior caste is made up of primarily elder males. the Temple caste is made up of younger males and females. They are still widely depicted in legend and thought of as legendary beings by the Mainland nations except by the nations of the Azure sea. Who respect them as equals and often offer trade for their expert weather forecasting.

However, there has been one instance where there was a King of Gobs who turned out to be rather intelligent and was able to organize the tribes for a massive war against the humans of the north. This was to be known as the Gob War, which lasted eleven years before the King of Gobs was slain along with his tribes scattered.

Name: Devils

Plane: Stygia

Appearance: Contrary to popular belief they are actually quite human-like in structure save maybe a few monstrous qualities such as horns, and scales. The appearance usually varies although generally they appear elegant yet knowledgeably deadly. It is common for Devils to have forked tongues.

Diet: The most part they are carnivores, and often even cannibals.

History:After the Heavenly Pantheon was created there was an ambitious god who didn't wish to share power, and so he sought other sources of power. Maddened by his ambitions he created Stygia a nightmarish realm of chaos that countered the peace of Elysia, and within this realm he created daemons, along with the original Nine Devils. It wasn't too long however until his twisted creations overcame him, and locked him away in the frozen realm of Cania. His name is forever to be considered taboo among gods, devils, and mortals.

The Nine Devils rule over Stygia, and seek nothing more than to conquer Elysia and the gods, but all invasions have been met with failure due to in fighting.

Name: The Ljósálfar, or Light Elves

Plane: Álfheimr (Home Plane) - Elysia - Material

Appearance: They are slightly shorter and thinner than average humans. They are famous through out the known universe for being both beautiful, and graceful. In general their features are angular and defined with almond-shaped eyes. Usually, they have light skin with green eyes and dark hair. They are best known for they're distinctive pointy ears. Elves cease to age after they have reached maturity.

General Behavior: They are a very serene, peaceful race. Their eternal calm can almost be confused as the same thing as emotionless although their are exceptions. They are commonly moved by forms of art and as such most of which that is produced by elves ends up being beautiful, or at least for beauty. This creativity is also what sometimes spurns a rather unexpected chaotic nature within them.

Despite, not particularly being a very warlike race they have however developed a warrior class and are in constantly at war with their counter-parts the Dökkálfar, or the dark elves. Light Elves are well-known for their talented marksmen, and magic users.

The leaders of the Elves are known as members of the Elder Council.

Abilities: Due, to their connection to the Inter-Planar Sea of Stars they actually have the ability to feel the life force of those around them, although ever so lightly. There is current theory among researchers that this is the exact reason why small tribes of Elves have settled deep within forests in the Material Plane in order to enhance this sensation. It is this same reason that allows them to keep themselves from aging.

They can alter their eyes to switch between the normal spectrum of light, and infra-vision. This allows them to see in the dark, unless it is darkness of a magical design. In addition they also have strikingly better vision than humans.

Diet: Elves can subsist on any food palatable to humans, although slightly more graceful and vegetarian in nature. They are opposed to most types of heavy foods such as beef. Their diet mostly consists of wine, berries, mushrooms, apples, among other preferred fruits/vegetables.

History: The home plane for Light Elves is Álfheimr, and is a beautiful plane of white citadels and gold suns. They are famous for being rather social throughout the other planes, even to the point where some groups of elves have become nomads who constantly sail across the Sea of Stars to other planes. Due to their rather social nature, they have become rather excellent merchants and have trade routes all through out the universe even to Elysia itself.

Elves were said to have been the creations of Sariel, an Angel of Death who is a high-commander in Ae's army.

Misc. Info: They are constantly at war with the Dark Elves among other related evil creatures that hail from Svartálfaheimr.

Name: Dökkálfr (Dark Elves)

Plane: Svartálfaheimr

Appearance: They are strikingly similar to their elven counterparts except for usually being a foot taller, and with more of a muscular build. They have angular facial features and almond shaped eyes along with their distinctive pointy ears. They have dark skin ranging from a deep blue to black to sometimes even purple. The color of their eyes can usually range from red to purple, and their hair is either silver or white.

General Behavior: They are a bloodthirsty and traitorous race that would stab nearly anyone in the back if it meant that they would benefit. Chaotic, but not anarchists. They follow loosely the structure and customs of their own culture but for the sole reason to further their own goals.

Dark Elf culture is a matriarchal society where men have been breed specifically to either be warriors, wizards, or sex slaves. Males have little to no actual power in politics. The Queen, Matrons, and Priestesses carry the most power and will often try to overthrow one another through assassination, among other types of treachery.

Abilities: Due, to their connection to the Inter-Planar Sea of Yggdrasil they actually have the ability to feel the life force of those around them, although ever so lightly. Unlike their lighter counterparts who relish that connection the dark elves care not, and even actually gain pleasure from snuffing life out.

They can alter their eyes to switch between the normal spectrum of light, and infra-vision. This allows them to see in the dark, unless it is darkness of a magical design. In addition they also have strikingly better vision than humans.

Diet: Anything that is in Svartálfaheimr. Dark elves are known to feast on giant spiders, and is held as an almost religious food.

History: The home plane of the Dark Elves is Svartálfaheimr, a dark almost abyssal realm, where the most nightmarish creatures crawl out from Stygia and swim within the Deep Waters, an ocean that goes so deep it reaches Azrael's layer of Stygia. They create their vast cities within the maze of caverns, and sometimes floating on the water where they conduct trade with the other planes.

The existence of both the Ljósálfar, (Light Elves), and Dökkálfr, (Dark Elves), dates back to the birth of the Elven gods themselves. The original Divine Twins, Illasere (The Sun), and Lezolith (The Moon) once ruled the Elves of Álfheimr in complete balance. Tension grew into open war between two radical religious factions dedicated to each deities. The war was known as the Sky Crusades, and it ravaged Álfheimr until finally in a effort to cease the fighting Lezolith brought his chosen few to the sunless plane of Svartálfaheimr where over the course of many millennia the elves began to lose all sanity.

General Behavior: The Damned Man only appears to those that are about to die of exposure, thirst, bloodloss, and/or hunger. Often as a figure in the distance. History: Noone is quite sure Where the Damned Man came from but various obscure folk tales speak of a man who wandered a wasteland after a bloody battle. The Man cursed Ae for his predicament and made a pact with the devils for immortality. However there was a catch he could only maintain his eternal body by draining the life force from Mortals, but in his eternally weakened state he could only drain it from the dying and half dead.
Misc. Info: There is only ever One Damned Man. Once it dies another will rise from the body of any of its victims.
