In the year of 10,999 a political miracle has occurred. The once warring nations of Earth all united to usher in an era of piece in the year 10, 800. Now, as the new millennium approaches, new organizations are popping up in major national areas. The most prominent and most watched is the United Empire that has appeared in central Florida. The military group started as a special military school for misguided and delinquent children. Built over the ruins of an old college, the Imperial Military Academy is these days a place that attracts all kinds of people seeking a military career or seeking to find direction. However, there are reports that the Academy is actively seeking out children that they believe to have abilities beyond those of normal humans. Though these reports are not sound, certain military branches within the United Republic Nation, the power that controls nearly the entirety of North America, are keeping watch on the Imperial Military Academy.
At around the same time as the peace talks ended, a change was beginning in some newborn children. Certain children had been to possess higher mental function and what even some would call psychic powers. Thanks to some wealthier families allowing their children to be observed by the URN Science Directorate, the reason behind why the children were different was discovered to be a genetic anomaly that formed in certain children shortly after birth and matured at puberty. Such children, hailed by some scientific minds as the next step in human evolution, were dubbed Newtypes.
The first generation of Newtypes showed basic psychic abilities such as telekinesis and limited mind reading and manipulation. Second generation Newtypes had these powers developed further and could use them more effectively. The second generation’s stronger powers garnered fear from the public eye and Newtypes became almost like second-class citizens. The third, and current, Newtype generation has not helped that. Third generation Newtypes have even stronger powers and developed second abilities most have called “magical” once the Newtype Gene matured. Third generation Newtypes are also the most different from humans so far. Along with the higher brain function all Newtypes have, third gens have a stronger bone structure, a better immune system that can adapt and eliminate any known disease, and they are overall naturally physically superior to humans. Because of this, Newtype discrimination increased to the point of violence. While they could have used their abilities to fight back, Newtypes feared that would lead to even greater violence against their kind.
To keep the Newtypes safe and ease the minds of the public, world leaders agreed to build special sectors for Newtypes, dubbed N-Areas. The N-Areas would allow Newtypes to live among themselves away from the violence inflicted upon them by humans.
As the new millennium nears, the world is beginning to change. N-Areas within the URN have begun to suffer under new governors. Newtypes are beginning to feel oppression even within N-Areas since the URN government cannot watch every N-Area at once due to near constant meetings with the leaders of the United Empire and the governing body of Europe, the Vatican State.
With the URN distracted by politics, and the Vatican State not much friendlier to New types (they allow Newtypes to live outside the N-Areas, but said Newtypes are required to wear special rings that allow the State to keep an eye on them) they turn to the United Empire. The Empire has proven itself to be the most progressive in terms of Newtype-human interaction. The UE has no N-Areas and no instances of UE citizens attacking Newtypes. Unfortunately, the UE’s territory is not big enough to house a large Newtype population.
With Newtype oppression back on the rise and murmurs of big political change in the air, the eyes of the world watch to see what the URN, Vatican State, and United Empire have planned for the new millennium. And as the New Year draws closer, the Republic Nation, the United Empire, and the Vatican state prepare secret plans to change the world in the new millennium.
United Republic Nation: This government wants to keep the piece that has been achieved on Earth. They have eyes and ears everywhere and posses some of the most advanced magical technology on the planet. They claim to have good intentions
United Empire: A rising power within the North American continent. The academy they set up in Florida not only provides shelter and education for children, but also acts as a recruitment center. The Empire seeks to expand it’s influence and research into psychic/magical arts and biotechnology.
IMPORTANT STUFF
Vatican State: The Vatican now controls all of Europe. They use specially trained soldiers and assassins to keep the peace and ensure their dominance. Though they put on a friendly face when dealing with the Republic and the Empire, it is no secret that the Pope wants to stamp them both out and make the Vatican State the ruling party of the world.
Newtypes: Newtypes are people that are born with psychic and “magical” abilities. They are observed closely by all political groups and have even been called the next evolutionary step. Whether or not this is true has yet to be seen.
Bloodbath Triad: A nickname given to the special forces groups of the Republic, Empire, and Vatican State after several incidents in which agents from each group met, fought, and violently killed one another.
N-Areas: Designated areas around the world specifically meant for Newtypes to live normal lives away from the oppression and dislike of humans. However, in recent months, the Republic have started asserting their authority within these independent states and it is stirring up bad feelings within Newtypes the world over.
The Heavens: A secret project being developed by the Vatican State to create massive floating cities. But, what would be the purpose of such things?

Appearance: A pale young man with black hair and eyes. His body is kept fit and thin with black, runic tattoos cover his body and head. Anything he wears is solid black. He usually wears a black variant of the academy uniform for males. However, he can also be seen wearing a black variant of the Imperial Military uniform.
Personality: Atrum is an outgoing and cheerful individual. He possesses a high level of intelligence, even among fellow Newtypes. He’s an affable individual who keeps a calm air with a bit of “I’m-smarter-than-the-rest-and-know-it” dashed in and has a deep loyalty to his friends. However, deep down underneath his cheery air, he detests humanity.

There he was educated in all the basic subjects throughout his elementary and high school years. Due to his high intellect and physical ability he joined the Imperial Military training program at fifteen and was made an officer at eighteen. He also discovered his Newtype powers at the Academy. Not only is he a captain within the military, he is also a member of the student council.
