A small sigh of frustration escaped the lips of the dark haired-teenage as she landed on the bare earth. Note to self; jumping out of trees wasn't quite her thing. As she dusted herself off the princess known as Soquira Valisari grimaced as she took a look around. While it was true that she was traveling through a forest hoping to find her way to a town soon, the ground that was covered by dense trees appeared lifeless otherwise. The ground was barren and the sparse patches of grass were dry and brown. She couldn't quite see how this could be however rather than questioning it she chose to simply ignore this fact and concentrate on getting out of the forest.

It had been a little over two months since had left home and she now found herself in Japan, farther home than she had ever expected to wind up. The girl did indeed still feel rather guilty for leaving so suddenly but she had hinted at her departure a number of times to her twin brother. She was amazed that nobody from S'Vell had come looking for her yet but then again maybe someone had. After all, her father had never been inclined to let his daughter roam around alone, she had always been lucky to even walk down a hallway in the family's home without an escort.

Her mother had been less protective at the very least. Before she had died she had kept a close eye on her children, and trusted the older twin to care for his sister rather than have the two tailed by guards constantly. Soquira remembered her mother Akiko well another considering it had been ten years since the woman's death. She had tried hard to forget that day, but her attempts were in vain as she still had nightmares from it.

The demon attack on the village had been completely and utterly unexpected. The village did indeed have it's share of slayers, yes but they had been completely unprepared. There had been little warning and the demons had wreaked their havoc. Multiple people had been killed and so many more injured. Their homes had been ruined and everyone lost something. In Soquira's case, her mother and one of her best friends, Ikari. She still didn't know why the demons had attacked or if it was possible somebody had sent them but still that was one of the reasons she was now traveling.

Stopping herself from thinking of this, Soquira pushed these thoughts aside and quickened her pace as she spied light about a mere half mile away. The sun was completely blocked out by trees and she guessed it at around noon. It didn't take long for her to emerge from the forest and as she spied a small stream she approached it and sat down at the edge.

Staring at her reflection she shook her head and allowed a small sigh to escape her lips once more as she watched her reflection. There was no doubt in her mind that she was pretty with her waist-length blue-ish black hair and emerald colored eyes. Though she was short in comparison with others she knew, only 5'5," or so she did at least have a decent figure and she dressed to emphasize this fact. She wore a simple light blue V-neck silk long sleeved dress though the sleeves were too long and she often had to roll them up to use her hands. She was barefoot however this fact didn't seem to bother much.

She carried only a few items in a silk bag she had made herself before leaving; a brush, a few dresses, and a variety of food that would last her about a week longer.

Standing up she yawned as she made her way toward the village ahead of her. Hopefully she'd be able to rest there for the night. She despised sleeping on the ground
