Taylor

Taylor closes the art room door behind her hearing the click of the lock, her bag full of supplies and some projects shes bringing home on her shoulder she walks down the school halls. The halls are so empty and silent it is slightly eerie but she is used to it from working late in the studio most days. Taylor steps out of the preppy private school she has been attending since she was young. She takes a look back as she begins to walk away and thinks about all the things the people at her school stand for. She has never been happy with the ideals and morals that seem to be part of all the wealthier families in this city but her parents pay for her education so she can't help but go along with enough of it to keep them happy. Taylor takes a deep breath in of her city's air and smiles slightly, apart from all the bull shit that seems to come along with living here she is in love with this city. As she walks Taylor runs her fingers through her dark brown hair and takes it all in.

Link woke up at about three in the afternoon holding a roll of toilet paper in one hand and a plant in the other.
Maybe is was time to get out more.
Link dragged himself into the hotel bathroom and took a long shower. When he finished he got dress and stared at himself in the mirror. With a satisfied smile, Link locked up his hotel room and headed towards the elevator.

The river was flowing way faster than it had the last time Link had seen it, or maybe he had just never stopped to look at it. The Hudson was moving along swiftly. Link was tempted to jump in but he figured he wouldn't get himself wet yet.
He stared around at the giant buildings that made up his city. When he was little Link had always wanted to live atop one of the tallest buildings in New York City. Now, with his money supply shriveling he had one of the lowest hotel rooms.
Link was wandering about when he saw a school girl. Link couldn't even remember the last time he had spoken to a girl so he ran to catch up to her. He stopped a few feet away from her and ran a pale white hand through his blonde hair. His grey eyes gazed at her hair from behind.
Link ran up to her until his pace was the same as hers. "Hey there," he said, flashing his perfect grin. "Need an escort?"

Turning to face the voice which came from a guy who had just approached her Taylor gave him a perfect smile "I guess it wouldn't hurt" she said softly. She took in his grey eyes which looked like her own bright blue ones would on a cloudy day and his white blonde hair which perfectly contrasted her own dark brown. He was cute no doubt and although Taylor was unsure if she even wanted a boy at this point he could always turn out to be fun. "So what are you doing walking around here at this time?" she asked the boy softly. She could see something special about this guy but she couldn't quite figure it out.

"Just trying to get some fresh air," Link smiled. His eyes stared down at her clothes. She had undoubtedly just come from school; she had that schoolgirl look to her.
"How about yourself? Just walking home from a long day at school?"
Link had been homeschooled all his life so he didn't know what real schools were like. From all the TV shows he had watched about them and all the games that contained schools made it sound like a living hell.
Glancing at the girl, Link didn't think they could be that bad. "What's your name?" he asked with another grin.
He never gave his name out first. Maybe it was because he always thought one of them would come to kill him if they ever knew his whereabouts.

Taylor

"Yea I go to Dalton" she says softly, "I was just finishing up in the studio" she continues as she gestures to the bag on her shoulder. Taylor could see the guy glancing up and down her body as they walk side by side, perfectly in time. Immediately after responding with the name of her school she regrets it, she doesn't want to be labelled as a dalton kid or classified as the same as all the kids who do go to her school. She had made it clear to many people that there are places she would rather be and people she would rather spend her time with. "Taylor" she responds sweetly while still keeping her mind on ways in which she could prove she was not like them "what about yours?" she asks in a curious tone. It seemed to Taylor that she was always trying to prove herself even to people she didn't know, just because of the social class she was brought up in.

"Dalton?" Link asked, feigning curiosity. "I hear it's a pretty good school."
Actually, Link hadn't heard a thing about Dalton. He didn't care either and he really didn't want to get into it anyway. "I go by Linkon to those who wish to address me formally. Otherwise, I'm Link." His eyes peered at her face. Link was easily taller than the girl, he was pretty tall for a boy his age. Her eyes were so beautiful. They reminded him of a character in one of his Xbox games...
This is why you have no social life, Link scolded his own thoughts.
"Taylor," he said, trying the name on his tongue. "Anything you liked to be called for short?"

Taylor
08-31-2011, 06:13 AM
"yea its alright" she says very unenthusiastically despite the fact that it was arguably the best school in the city she didn't want to get into it. "I don't think I will be addressing you formally, so link it is" she says with a faint smile, "my friends call me Tay if you prefer that" she says. As they walk she keeps stealing glances at him, his looks are just so striking, the light skin, hair and insanely grey eyes. "So question for you Link, what brought you to come talk to me?" she asks with a cute smile, looking at him with her bright blue eyes.

"I figured it was time to stop waking up with weapons in my hands," Link said jokingly. "Nothing dangerous, mind you, but in my sleep I guess I just grab the thing closest to me for protection." Link gave a soft laugh. "I also figured you needed someone to talk to. No young girl in their right mind would walk through this city alone."
Link's eyes brushed the road they were walking on. It must have been recently paved.
He saw a sign in the distance that read, "Littering Fine: $300." He didn't remember it there.
How long was I hibernating?

Taylor
09-01-2011, 01:36 AM
"I am glad you decided now would be a good time for that, I'm not quite sure we would still be talking if you were carrying some sort of weapon with you" she said with a slight smirk. She looked at him innocently with her bright blue eyes "I always seem to be walking alone, especially home from school" she said softly. "It is not like many people would be worried if I didn't come home for a few days, that is as long as my parents weren't throwing some party I would need to make an appearance at", Taylor's face seemed to drop a little as she said this and her mind wandered onto the concept of her going missing and no one caring. Although it was quite true that her parents would not give a second thought to it and she prefers it that way, she still would like them to care for her in the slightest. Taylor snapped back out of her own little thought bubble and smiled a faint smile and Link "so what are your plans for the rest of this lovely day?" she asked sweetly as she looked up at the sky which was quite blue and then looked back down at him.

Link looked down at Taylor with a sympathetic gaze. He wrapped his arm around her and gave her shoulder a little squeeze so she wouldn't feel so unwanted. He knew what it was like to not be wanted.
Hell, he knew what it was like to have his parent try and put a knife through his chest.
Link's face twisted in memory.
"When are you going to do something with your life dammit!"
"I don't need to do something with my life. I have all I could ever want."
His father glared at him. "How long do you think I'm going to support your ass, Linkon? Stop living in Lala Land and go to school. Go get a job. You don't got anything by next week you're out of my house."
Link stared at his father solemnly. He didn't have all he ever wanted thanks to his father. His father hadn't given him anything in life except half his body's make up. Link kept quiet, knowing his father would never understand him.
Or would he?
"Hey dad, watch this." Link used his magic to make a bouquet appear. His father stared at the roses, wide eyed.
"My son's a freak." Grabbing a knife, he repeated, "My son is a fucking freak."

Link snapped back into the present when he heard Taylor's voice. "So what are your plans for the rest of this lovely day?" she had asked.
"Hopefully something involving you," Link replied, only half-present.

Taylor saw Link drift off somewhere similar to what she had just done she let him drift for a little knowing he would snap back. His response to her question came relatively quickly but he still seemed far off although his words were sweet. "How can you be sure you would like to spend it with me" she asked with a slight smirk, she managed to remain somewhat focused on their conversation though she was wondering where his mind had went just a few moments before that had held his attention. Taylor knew nothing of this boy but she was beyond intrigued and was willing to give up what would have been an afternoon painting and a dinner alone, prepared by her personal chefs to learn more about this guy.

Link stared as his wrist at a scar that he had left there. Sure he could probably heal it effortlessly but he couldn't. When someone saw a slit wrist they usually stayed away; usually that's what Link wanted. It didn't matter he didn't cause the scar.
Link stared up again, realising he was in a conversation. He hadn't heard a word Taylor said and silently scolded himself. "So dinner on me?" he said in a tone a bit too cheery. "That sounds great. Where would you like to go?"
He offered a smile, hoping Taylor hadn't said anything too important.

Taylor
09-01-2011, 02:17 AM
"You didn't answer my question" she said with a smirk, "I asked why you thought you wanted to spend it with me". Taylor contemplated what he had said though, she thought about spending a dinner with this guy then her mind, as always drifted to the fact that she looked disgusting, wearing clothes she had changed into so she wouldn't mess up her uniform in the studio. Before bringing up the subject that she was in no way dressed for dinner she waited for him to answer her question.

"Oh," Link said to himself. "Cause I could use some company. And you look pretty."
Link caught himself. He was about to say pretty beautiful but he didn't want to go there. They had just met after all.
"Do you have something else to do?" he asked, a streak of disappointment crossing his face and dimming his pale eyes. "I guess that would be alright. I won't force you to do anything."

Taylor
09-01-2011, 02:37 AM
"Thank you" Taylor responded softly with a slight blush coming to her cheeks, she turned her face away from him for a moment to hide it. Taylor could hear the disappointment in Link's voice and she could see it creep into his face "I have nothing else to do, I was just going to paint" she responds with a cute smile hoping to see the light return to his eyes. She bit her lower lip and then looked into his eyes "I am not exactly dressed for dinner Link" she said softly.

Link kept his face expressionless as he stared down at Taylor's body. His eyes lingered at her chest a moment too long and Link looked away, embarrassed. "Neither am I," he said simply. "We could always go somewhere less formal. Perhaps you would like some coffee?"
Link paused, caught on one word. "Wait, you paint?" Link smiled. "So do I. I prefer pencil and paper though. I love to scribble up some comics. When I was little I used to draw The Legend of Zelda cartoons all the time. I loved drawing Toon Link. I mean, it was like a self-portrait. I've got his blonde hair, when I'm mad my eyes can get black like his. Sometimes I used to grab a knife from the kitchen and walk around proclaiming I was Guardian of the Forest. I always had this-"
Link stopped, embarrassed. "Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go on and on."
He looked away. "What do you paint?"

Taylor
09-01-2011, 03:09 AM
Taylor saw Link look her body over after she commented on how she was dressed, she seemed to miss where his eyes had lingered on her tiny frame. Taylor liked his coffee suggestion, she honestly felt more comfortable going for coffee at this moment in time, not because of who she was going with but because of her attire. "Coffee sounds perfect" she said sweetly with a cute smile as she looked up at him. When he brought up her painting she blushed slightly, her art wasn't something she always shared with people "yea I do" she said softly before he continued on a long story of what he used to do when he was little. As like went on to tell his story Taylor worked hard to keep herself from laughing although the story was quite adorable, once he was finished talking it was quite clear he was embarrassed for having shared that with her but it was kind of a good sign that he felt comfortable with her. "It's okay" she said with an adorable smirk while looking up at him with her bright blue eyes "and I usually paint landscapes but I have done the occasional portrait but I mostly do portraits in charcoal."

Link still wasn't looking at her. "To the Coffee House it is. Wherever that may be." Link laughed and then faced one direction. "I believe it's over this way."
His eyes stared past the buildings lining the streets of New York. With his excellent vision paired with his supernatural power he spotted the coffee house immediately. "Landscapes are nice. I used to draw landscapes when-"
Link cleared his throat. "I used to draw landscapes."
He had met the girl not ten minutes ago and already she probably thought he never shut up.

Taylor
09-01-2011, 03:30 AM
Taylor was dying for this guy to look at her, as much as she knew he already liked her she liked to have the confirmation of him keeping his eyes on her. Taylor followed Link not offering her knowledge of the area up to him despite the fact that she knew exactly where the Coffee House was. "I like them, only artists really understand how much emotion you can truly put into a landscape and that you can truly convey an entire story through a single image". Taylor noticed that he began to go off on another story of his past but stopped himself "go ahead" she said softly and she wrapped her arm around his as they walked. Although the sun was shining and the sky was blue there was a distinct chill in the air.

"I agree," Link said as his gaze turned to their hands. "Only an artist can really make a picture say a thousand words."
Link was keeping his pace the same as Taylor's until she told him to continue his story. His face turned red and his pace got a bit faster. Ignoring her request, he said, "Maybe you could show me a doodle of yours sometime. I'd love to see what you can do."
A smile allayed across his face as he saw the coffee place come into view. "There," he said. "There it is."

Taylor
09-01-2011, 04:06 AM
Taylor smiled sweetly at him until he turned red from her asking him to go on, she giggled a little as he sped up and ignored her. "why won't you tell me your story Link?" she said with a fake frown that she had to work to maintain. When he asked to see some of her work she blushed to match him and then shrugged, she then said something she never would expect herself to say "I mean I have some of it right here", the words came out in an incredibly soft, shy tone but she was sure he heard them loud and clear. She looked at him become elated from simply finding the coffee shop and that made her smile softly, she wasn't sure why but she liked that something so simple could make him smile.

Link held the door open for Taylor. Once they were both inside the Coffee House Link turned to her. "Ol' Linkon has a lot of stories. If I were to tell you all of them you'd die of old age."
He sat down at one of the booths. Leaning over the table, he said, "Great, let's see them. I would show you something of mine but it was all...lost in the move.
Let's go with that.

Taylor
09-01-2011, 04:23 AM
Taylor walked in and sat down in a booth and smiled at Link as he sat down across from her, his eagerness to see her art kind of scared her. Taylor looked at him and saw his grey eyes looking at her seeming full of excitement and she couldn't help but nervously take out the rolled up canvases and papers in her bag. She flattened out the first canvas which was covered with stunning reds and oranges and yellows of a sunset, it had detailed black silhouettes of trees and bushes over the gorgeous colors. She looked at his reaction and quickly added "its not finished".

Link stared down at Taylor's artwork, his eyes shining. "Wow," he breathed. "This is amazing. Have you ever taken lessons before?"
He was tempted to reach out and run his hands down the beautiful scene bit then she told him it wasn't finished. It looked finished.
"Have you got anymore?" Link asked, still not finished admiring her first work. Sure he could pull something like this with both hands tied behind his back but for a human to draw like this? It astounded him.

Taylor
09-01-2011, 04:34 AM
Taylor blushed at Link's reaction, it was not what she had expected, he was genuinely impressed with her artwork which was a far cry from the fake 'oh that's lovely' she expected from everyone who manages to see it. Taylor nodded slightly as she unrolled the next piece, this was a moodier scene with muddled grays and blues forming a pond which was reflecting a stormy sky above, 2 beautiful swans took up a portion of the pond, a little bit of serenity surrounded by chaos. She loved this one, it was very special to her as far as the meaning of it went and so it was particularly difficult to share.

Ashen
09-01-2011, 04:41 AM
Link stared in awe at the next painting Taylor brought out. It was such a depressing picture, but right in the middle were two beautiful swans. He let out a sigh. Thenpainting was saying one thing; Anything is possible. The most beautiful bird can come to the most depressing place and automatically lighten the mood of the art.
"This is awe inspiring," he said softly. Link was always a big fan of art and judging by her paintings Link could tell they'd make great friends.

Taylor
09-01-2011, 04:47 AM
Taylor smiled again at his reaction "you are bullshitting me hun" she said softly as her smile shifted to a smirk. She began to unravel a few more of her pieces, a few portraits of beautiful women done in charcoal and a few more landscapes painted in the largest array of colors and tones. "I have a lot more than this but not with me" she said softly as her eyes ran over all her work, as she looked at it all she automatically critiqued it all and found flaws in every piece, it was the fact that she was such and extreme perfectionist that would be her downfall, it even held her back from letting her emotions just flow into her work at points. Just then a waitress approached the table asking for their orders, Taylor smiled softly and looked from her to her own artwork, it bothered her that this random woman was seeing it all so she quickly ordered a latte in order to have the woman leave.

Link stared up into Taylor's icy eyes. "No, I'm not. I've never seen paintings like this. These are amazing."
He heard the waitress approach but he was too busy staring at Taylor's works. "I'll take a coffee with milk, please," he said without looking up.
Link's pale hands reached for one of the paintings. "You know, you can get better strokes for hair if you tilt the brush at a one-hundred fifty degree angle. At first it looks pretty sloppy but once you get used to it you get fantastic results."
He stared up. "I mean, what you're doing with the twenty degree angle looks great." He offered a lopsided smile.
Way to bring your superhuman intelligence into things.

Taylor
09-01-2011, 05:04 AM
"Thank you" Taylor said, taking the compliment which she rarely does, she watched as he continued to stare at her paintings. Then he began to get technical, he went on to discuss angles of her brush strokes and such "I thought I was the perfectionist, my work is the only thing I remotely let go in and now you are telling me I need to alter my angles" she said, she offered him a soft smile as she did to lighten what she was saying. She truly was not dead serious but in some ways she meant what she said. She began to gather up her artwork before the coffee came because she didn't want her work to get destroyed.

Ashen
09-01-2011, 05:10 AM
Link searched his brain for the right words. "You know what? Don't listen to a thing I say. Your art looks great just that way it is. Forget angles and such."
He shook his head slowly, scolding himself repetitively. Way to go, idiot.
Link looked up as their drinks were laid down. "Thank you," he said to the waitress as she scurried back to the kitchen.
"So Taylor," Link said, trying to fill the silence. "What are you studying to be?"

Taylor
09-02-2011, 02:14 AM
Taylor smiled softly and nodded, she smiled gratefully at the waitress who has just laid down their drinks, she said a soft thank you before looking back at Link. Her eyes had turned a little grayer and were now more similar to his "I will be going to business school this coming fall and 'wasting' all my electives on art courses... at least that is how my parents describe it" she said softly. "What are you in school for?" she asked, innocently assuming he was older than her but she could tell he was not much older.

Ashen
09-02-2011, 02:26 AM
Link's mouth straightened as she asked about his education. "I uh, I don't go to school. I dropped out of high school."
Dropped out. Right.
"Business," Link said in a better tone, trying to keep the conversation away from him. "That sounds fun. Do you have any selected business you wanted to run or are you the entrepreneur type of girl?"
He took a sip of his coffee. It was warm. He shouldn't be drinking it. He pushed it away and looked up at Taylor.

Taylor
09-02-2011, 02:33 AM
Taylor was so unused to people not going to university it sort of shocked her when he first said it but that only lasted for a split second she then smiled softly, she was honestly okay with that as long as she could hold a conversation with the guy. Not everyone needed to be educated to be stimulating and he seemed to keep her talking so far. "More like the entrepreneur, as much as my parents love the fact that I chose business school, I did it for me I really find it so interesting." she said. Taylor took another sip of her coffee and smiled at Link "you know, it's rare that I meet someone that I can tell they have very cool eyes, normally I get that comment" she said with a little smirk.

Ashen
09-02-2011, 02:39 AM
Link smirked. "My eyes are a weird shade, I know. I like them that way. It's harder to forget them."
He stared at Taylor's latte. It looked empty, unlike his very full cup. He didn't want to drink anything too hot. The last thing he needed was to set the place on fire by getting his body temperature too high.
"Are you ready to go?" he asked her. "Maybe you can show me your drawings at your house."
His smile soon turned, then Link added, "If that's okay with you..."

Taylor
09-02-2011, 02:46 AM
Taylor disregarded his comment about his eyes being unforgettable despite the fact that she thoroughly agreed with it. Taylor's heart tightened a little when he asked to come back to her house, its not that she would mind it but imagine her parents were home, it would not end well. "Umm, what about your place Link" she said in a sweet yet nervous tone, she knew she could eventually convince him that his place was a much better choice but she hoped it would not take much. She flashed him a stunning smile as she got up, bringing her bag along with her "come" she said, this time far more confidently, hoping to play it off like she didn't require an answer.

Ashen
09-02-2011, 02:53 AM
Link rose from the booth. He searched his pockets to find them empty. Closing his eyes, he chanted a short mantra. He payed the bill with his teleported money and walked up o Taylor.
"That's why I suggested your place," Link replied. "I don't have a place. Not yet anyway. I'm working on it."
He showed another lopsided grin. "Or maybe if you just want to come home alone I could always...call you tomorrow."

Taylor
09-02-2011, 03:10 AM
Taylor looked at him with a slight frown "my parents would freak out love" she said softly, she looked at him with her blue eyes which appeared very sad "I don't want you to go just yet though" she said. They were standing fairly close together and she was looking up at him due to the fact that she was only 5'3", she smiled a faint smile but her eyes were still sad.

Ashen
09-02-2011, 03:20 AM
Link looked down at her eyes, a magnificent colour. "I know how parents can be," he sighed. "Annoying, misconstrued, stupid. It's fine. We could go to Central Park if you want."
He started walking towards Central Park, assuming Taylor would follow. Many thoughts were crossing his mind. Maybe he could take Taylor to his hotel. It wasn't that bad.
"Have you ever stargazed at the dead of night? The stars always seem to be brightest at midnight, even though not scientifically proven."
Link was trying to get Taylor to stay up with him and he didn't know how well he was doing.

Taylor
09-02-2011, 03:25 AM
Taylor nodded with a sweet smile, she loved that he was willing to stay out with her tonight and she loved the idea of central park. Taylor began to follow Link towards the park, they managed to keep pace with each other very well, they just seemed to fit. Taylor listened as Link spoke of the stars at midnight, it had been so long since she had seen the stars over this city that she wouldn't mind staying out with him if they could see them. "I haven't seen stars in a long time, and even then they were so bright" she said softly as she glanced up at him and then at the sky which had gotten quite dark while they were at the coffee shop.

Ashen

"The thing about New York City," Link said with a straight line for a mouth, "the city smog really blocks out the light from those gaseous balls. The ones you can see in the NYC are the really bright ones. You have to marvel at how bright they are; able to shine through all of those lightyears of space."
He turned to face her, his blonde hair falling over his eyebrows. "Am I ranting again? I apologize; I haven't actually spoken to a girl in a long time."
I haven't actually spoken to anyone in a long time.

Taylor
09-02-2011, 03:45 AM
"I know, I don't like that we miss out on the stars, they truly are so beautiful" she said sweetly. She saw Link turn to face her and she looked into his eyes through his blonde hair, "you are talking a lot but not ranting, and I don't mind it" she said with a cute smile "and what is a long while love?" she asked innocently. Taylor knew it was a bad idea to ask him but he seemed to be so secretive about so many things and she didn't like it... or maybe it made her like him that much more.

Ashen
09-02-2011, 03:55 AM
Link looked away from Taylor's gaze. "Just a long time," he replied, ending that subject.
He didn't actually have a reply for that. All Link knew was that his dad tried to murder him so he ran away. After falling asleep for God knows how long he awoke with strange objects in his hands.
Link's eyes showed he was faraway, going to a place called Memory Lane. "Like months," he answered, ignoring his own wish to end that subject. "Maybe somewhere around there. I'm not sure. Last I remember there was snow on the ground."

Taylor
09-02-2011, 04:24 AM
Taylor decided to drop the subject after his first comment but then Link's mind seemed to leave where they were at the moment and travel somewhere else. He broke their gaze and began to continue on, telling her that the last thing he remembered was snow on the ground, this sort of freaked Taylor out. She became very quiet and just walked in step with him but she did not speak or look at him, she let him visit where ever he was at that moment in time.

Link blinked, taking in his surroundings.
Normal people don't hibernate you dumbass.
He sighed and turned to Taylor. "I'm sorry, I just need to get out more. I uh, let's talk about something you want to talk about." Link smiled sweetly.
He could tell he was making her feel uncomfortable. He needed to stop drifting into the past.
Bygones will be bygones.

Taylor
09-02-2011, 04:57 AM
Taylor nodded and then forced a smile "I like talking about the stars and I still want to hear about you, like real things about what you like to do and such" she said obviously clueless to the fact that he wanted to get off the topic of him. She was either clueless or just so curious she ignored all the signs that he wanted to get the topics off him and onto her, but she had already told him a lot. They could just walk in silence if he would like, once again she slipped her arm around his as they walked and moved in close to cut the chill of the wind.

"Alright," Link said slowly, removing his hand from Taylor's and offering it to shake. "My name is Linkon K. Hyrix. That's Linkon with a K. My birthday is November eighth, 1992. I'm an only child, or at least last time I checked I was. I draw cartoons in my free time and I'm a freak of nature. Anything else you want to know?"
Link didn't like talking about himself but not because it made him feel embarrassed. His life was just so boring.
At least the part he could tell people was. His voice was a bit harsh and he thought he might want to fix that but he couldn't take back his words.

Taylor
09-02-2011, 05:26 AM
"freak of nature?" she asked softly as she looked up at him as he shook her hand, she desperately wanted him to kiss her right now and she didn't know why. She just looked up at him and nodded, he seemed to be talking in a very harsh tone yet somehow it didn't offend her like it would if someone else had used that tone with her, she just wanted him to explain what he had just said to her, she was to damn curious about this boy.

Link froze, caught. "Did I say that?" he asked nervously. "It was a uh, joke." He laughed, a shaky uneven laugh. "I meant I'm just plain weird. I could probably name you every creature in Pokemon and every gun in Call of Duty. I could also tell you the tangen angle of any triangle just by looking at it. Yes, I am a freak of nature. An incredibly intelligent and good looking one at that."
Link smirked at Taylor. "Now don't go spreading that around. I am just a high school drop out."

Taylor nodded, she was now sure that Link had so much more to tell her and she knew she would get it out of him eventually. She listened to his weak excuse for the 'freak of nature' comment although all the things he just told her were probably true, and made her like him just a little bit more she knew he was just covering his ass and there was so much more to this guy. She loved the way he smirked at her "oh that is true, that means you are absolutely worthless" she said with a smirk to match his as she began to walk ahead of him and away from him quickly.

"Hey!" Link called after Taylor. "Where you going?"
He jogged ahead and stared at her eyes. He kept her pace which was nothing compared to what he could get to. "Why are you running off? I thought you were enjoying yourself."
His eyes hid his thoughts well. Does she suspect my powers? Of course not.
Still, Link knew he had to be more careful around this girl now.

Taylor looked up at him with a smile "you are just a high school drop out" she said in a joking tone. Taylor bit her lower lip and looked at him for a moment longer with her stunningly blue eyes before turning and continuing to walk, turning back and smiling at him every so often. She hoped he would pick up on the fact that she was completely kidding but she became slightly worries he thought she was serious about all of this.

No, I'm not.
Link wanted to tell her so badly that leaving high school wasn't his choice but his father's. He wanted to tell her about his classes and how he was so disappointed in leaving them.
But what was the point in staying in school when you knew everything they taught?
Link remembered his days in math class. He could finish a word problem before half the class was finished reading it so he'd draw in the margins of his copybook. One day he was caught and his teacher laughed. "Wow Linkon," he had said. "I'm surprised. Your ninja is holding five stars, the longest side of the trapezoid. He's dodging eight, for each of the small sides. And from his left are two stars. Have you ever decided to take up an art class?"
Link stayed silent, not knowing if Taylor was joking or not.

Taylor turned around once more and looked at him, he was standing there silently and looking somewhat sad. She began to walk towards him and once she reached him she slipped her arms around his neck "I am only kidding Link, do you think I am that superficial?" she said with a soft smile. Their bodies were just barely touching as they stood, her arms still around his neck and her looking up at him innocently.

"I know," Link lied. He smiled and pulled Taylor into a hug. When he realised what he was doing he pusher away. "I'm sorry," he said automatically. "I didn't mean... Let's go sit down."
Link walked towards a bench and sat down. You're getting too close too fast, Link warned himself. You'll make her uncomfortable.
Link stared up at a water fountain behind him. He concentrated on the statue in the middle, a nude woman.
"Her face doesn't have enough volume," he murmured.

Taylor

Taylor liked the feeling when Link hugged her in close they seemed to fit together well and when he pulled away a frown appeared on her face. He walked away muttering about how he was sorry and he didn't mean to. She followed him to the bench and looked at him sadly for a moment before sitting down, not directly beside him but a little away. She saw him looking off at some statue instead of at her and it honestly stung, she usually didn't get treated like this when she was offering herself so blatantly to a boy.

Link stared at Taylor, a frown across his face. Taylor didn't look at him, it hurt him. "I'm sorry," he repeated. "It won't happen again. I was just not thinking and I don't know what came over me. I can drop off the face of the earth if you want me to."
His eyes were a soft grey and he stared at Taylor. He too noticed they fit together perfectly. He knew Taylor was mad but he still hoped she'd ask him to stay.

Taylor
09-03-2011, 04:12 AM
Taylor did not look at him as he apologized to her, why would he have pulled away like that if he didn't want to, to her it was clear he was uninterested in her. Taylor at this point had curled up at one end of the bench while he was sitting on the other, she glanced at him and saw how pale his eyes had become and how he was frowning. "Don't leave" she said softly but she made no effort to move towards him, if he wished to do so she would let him but she certainly was not going to be so open anymore, if he wanted her he would have to work for it.

Link's smile returned; Taylor wanted him. "Thank you," he murmured. "I didn't really want to leave anyway. You're far more interesting than anything I have back at my hotel."
He showed his teeth, hoping it would get Taylor to sit up. He didn't mean to hug her, but he still didn't understand why Taylor was so upset.
It was an accident after all.

Taylor
09-03-2011, 04:23 AM
"So you do have a place you are staying" she said softly as she glanced at him with her icy blue eyes. She saw the somewhat false smile come across his face, showing his teeth like he hadn't before "you don't get why I am being like this do you?" she asked him straight up. She didn't know how he couldn't have picked up on the fact that he totally rejected her just a few moments before.

"Oh, well, yeah," Link replied. "Crappy apartment for one though. I can't live there for long. I need to move out."
He stared at her as she asked her next question. "What do you mean, Taylor? Aren't you mad because I hugged you? I really didn't mean to. I'm sorry."
Link's mouth turned into a straight line. I'm right, aren't I?
Link used his mind reading to figure out what Taylor was thinking, he hated using his mind reading; his eyes always flashed a vibrant yellow just before the person's thoughts entered his mind.
His eyes twinkled yellow and then he realised he was so wrong.

Taylor
09-03-2011, 04:36 AM
"First of all Link, I don't care what your apartment is like as long as its not my place with all the staff and my parents, second of all you are the most clueless guy ever because I am not mad that you hugged me, I am mad that you pulled away, you rejected me Link and I am usually much more tactful about letting people know how I feel but honestly with you, you just don't seem to get it so I have to be straight up" she said quickly till she was out of breath when she finished. As she said all of this she was staring into Link's eyes and then for a split second his eyes turned yellow, she seemed so sure that they had changed but she felt crazy for thinking that. Her mind was now focused on his eyes and what had happened, suddenly what he had said before about freak of nature drifted back into her mind but she stopped herself from saying anything, at least for now, she wanted to know what he thought of what she had just said.

Link waited until Taylor was done until he spoke. "You are beautiful," he said, the best way to distract a lady's mind. "So pretty that I didn't want to push away. I just forgot what it was like to hold someone close. I forgot what it's like when someone wants you. I thought it was so wrong, to want a girl I had just met. Taylor, I don't understand you. But I'd like to."
Link's face didn't show any expression or emotion. He just stared into her cold eyes.
"I haven't been able to trust anyone for a long time. But Taylor, I'd like to start with you."

Taylor
09-03-2011, 05:03 AM
Taylor listened silently as Link spoke just as he had listened to her, she tried to fight back a smile at what he was saying but she proved somewhat unsuccessful. Taylor gazed at him as he spoke, it surprised her that his face seemed so emotionless, it made her hesitant to believe what he was saying. She let her legs drop down from under her so she was no longer curled up on the bench, she paused for a moment before getting up. Once she was on her feet she looked at him, she was not ready to just give into whatever he was saying at this moment but she wouldn't give up on him "I wanna see this crappy apartment Link" she said softly as she looked down at him with a slightly softer look than she had previously been using.

Link got up and stood next to Taylor. "It's only forty bucks, shows how great it is. I'm telling you, it's nothing."
Still, Link grabbed Taylor's hand and started walking home. "I didn't clean up. I wouldn't be surprised if an intrusion of cockroaches started living there. Don't blame me for it. Also, my drawings will probably be everywhere. Don't mind them. I've been meaning to throw them out anyway."

Taylor walked hand in hand with Link "stop apologizing for your place, I don't care what it is like, I am not some snob like everyone else with money in this city" she said forcefully. She liked that he took charge and took her hand as he lead her to his place, once again her hand felt right in his. "Besides... I want to see your drawings" she said softly to Link as she glanced at him quickly.

Link walked in silence until his hotel came into view. "Alright, well here it is. Not technically an apartment but it acts as one."
He stepped in the elevator and punched in a button. The doors closed and the elevator pushed up. When it stopped on the second floor he walked out, still hand-in-hand with Taylor. He released her to get his key from the plant by the door. "I really should start carrying my own key," he said to himself as he opened the door.
Inside was a pretty small hotel room. It had a living room and a kitchenette and then had a bedroom. It was no penthouse room but it was better than nothing.
The walls were a welcoming blue and the carpet was a royal shade of blue. Everything was neatly in place. "So... How is it? My bedroom is the real disaster zone."

Taylor
09-03-2011, 05:42 AM
Taylor gripped his hand a little tighter while in the elevator as her claustrophobia kicked in but released it when he went to get his key "it's all good, now I know your secret hiding spot" she said with a smirk. Once he let her in she looked around and rolled her eyes, he had made it seem so bad when it really wasn't. She ignored his question as she stepped inside and then began to walk around the room, trailing her fingers over the furniture as she walked "I like it" she said softly as she smirked and moved into his bedroom. Inside was nearly as neat as outside with the exception of a few clothes scattered around and the bed unmade. Taylor dropped herself down on the unmade bed and smiled at him through the doorway "comfy bed" she said before laying back so just her legs were hanging off the bed.

Link followed Taylor into his room. He picked up a shirt that was on the ground and threw it into an open drawer. "Um, thanks. Tempurpedic? Actually I have no idea what that is."
He walked over to his desk and started shoving all of his scribbles into drawers and folders. He put his pencils and markers in a mug and turned towards his twin size bed. "Alright, so what shall we do? There isn't much here, which is why I didn't really want you here."

Taylor watched as he filed his artwork away in front of her, she really did want to see it but she didn't want to push him tonight. Taylor stayed on her back with her hands folded gently on her stomach "whatever you want Link, I am easily entertained" she said with a cute smile. She looked at him from her place on his bed and saw he seemed slightly nervous to have her there, on his bed, with (in his mind) no way of entertaining her.

"Okay," Link said slowly. He turned to face the door and walked out of his bedroom. When he came back the sounds of popcorn popping in the microwave echoed through his house. "Do you like movies? We could watch one. Here." Link tossed Taylor the remote. "There aren't many channels but it's better than nothing."
He took a seat next to her on the bed and stared up at the TV that hung on the wall. "Channel 57 has some good movies, usually."

Taylor
09-04-2011, 03:01 AM
Taylor nodded slightly and sat up, moving to the back of the bed against the wall and laying down once again. Taylor took the remote and turned on the tv, she pressed 57 and watched at the image on the screen changed. She watched for a bit, trying to figure out what the movie was, she lay her head gently on his shoulder as she listened to the combination of popping sounds of popcorn she would not be eating and of the movie she was only half watching.

Link stared up at the screen as it showed an array of dead bodies. "Oh, this movie sucks," he said. "Uhh, try anything in the hundreds. I'll be right back."
He got up and went back into his kitchen. Link looked trough all of his cupboards until he came across a plastic bowl. He poured the popcorn in and returned to his room. "I hope you like the extra butter. I mean, who doesn't?"
He sat down beside Taylor and looked up at the screen. "What's this?"

Taylor
09-06-2011, 01:56 AM
Taylor picked up the remote once again and started to flick through the hundreds she settled on something that looked like a romantic comedy but she couldn't tell which one. She could smell the popcorn Link had made for them and the smell made her sick and hungry at the same time. Once he returned with a big bowl of it she smiled weakly as he mentioned it was extra butter, that made her stomach turn even more. Taylor lay her head back on his shoulder where it had been before and responded softly "I am not sure, some romantic comedy".

Ashen

"Sounds good to me," Link replied and lay the bowl on his lap. He grabbed a handful of popcorn and stuffed it into his mouth. "Here," he said, motioning towards the bowl. "I didn't make it for myself."
He swallowed and stared up at the TV. "So," he said slowly. "What are we planning on doing tonight? Don't you have school?"

Taylor
09-06-2011, 02:09 AM
"No thanks" she said softly before snuggling into him a little more "and well, I do have school tomorrow but I don't exactly feel like dealing with my parents tonight". As she said this she glanced from the movie up to him and smiled softly. She knew she couldn't exactly spend the night at this guys apartment but she wasn't lying when she said she didn't want to deal with her parents, maybe she could just head home late so they would be asleep by the time she got home.

Link stared at the clock on the bedside table. That would give them roughly two hours until Taylor had to go home.
He wrapped his arm around Taylor and placed the popcorn on the table next to his bed.

Taylor
09-06-2011, 02:22 AM
"I know, I wasn't planning on sleeping here Link, and 10 sounds okay... they should be sleeping by then, and just for the record they wouldn't give a damn if I slept here" she said matter of factly. Taylor liked the way that Link's arm felt around her small frame, pulling her in closer to his body. She watched as Link placed the bowl on the table and she smiled softly because frankly seeing the popcorn was making her quite sick.

"I'm sure they would," Link protested. "A parent doesn't bring life into this world, make sure she gets the best education possible, and just neglect her. Your parents love you very much Taylor; stop saying otherwise."
His spine straightened a bit. His father brought him into this world.
And he threated to take him out of it.
Link shook the thoughts away; Taylor's parents hadn't tried to kill her. He stayed quiet and stared up at the screen.

Taylor
09-06-2011, 02:36 AM
"my parents would not care, they send me to that school because they would not fit in with their crowd if they did anything else, they only use to me to impress their friends, if no one is around they don't give a shit." she said in a very frustrated tone, she was exasperated. Taylor was frustrated that Link would argue otherwise considering he didn't know her parents or the situation.

Ashen

"I'm sure that's not true," Link said, not about to give in. "There's always gonna be someone worse then you, alright?"
He got up and walked towards the door. "You don't think your parents love you? Mine tried to kill me. Mine hated me so much he tried to put a knife through my chest. But I can't say I hate my dad. I can't say I would have done the same under those circumstances, but I definitely cannot say I hate him."
Link turned and walk out of the room.

Taylor
09-06-2011, 03:07 AM
"yea my parents are just not capable of seeing that, they see no redeeming qualities in me unless they need to find things to brag about to their friends" Taylor said before Link rose to his feet. Once Link was at the door she looked at him with a confused look, then he spoke, "I am sorry" she whispered before he left the room. Taylor paused for a moment and allowed what Link had just said to sink in and make sense in her mind... it could never. She got to her feet and followed after him, she wasn't sure that is what he would have chosen her to do but she needed to "Link, I am sorry I will shut up" she said softly before crossing the room to where he was standing and pausing for a second before wrapping her arms around him.

Link froze as Taylor hugged him. He lightly pushed her off and sighed. "Be grateful for what you have," he murmured quietly. "Because it won't be there forever."
He faced his back to Taylor. "Every single day of my life since my dad kicked me out I've been thinking how things could have gone differently. I wonder, all the time, that if it were Mom would she have done the same?"
Link shook his head. "We'd better get you home," Link said, even though it was only 8:30. "Your parents are waiting for you."

Taylor
09-06-2011, 03:17 AM
Taylor hated being pushed off of Link but she understood, it pained her when he turned his back to her but she listened patiently as he spoke. Taylor nodded slightly when he told her she better get home though she strongly disagreed she was in no position to fight him on this "at least take my number Link" she said softly. She so desperately wanted to reach out and place a comforting hand on his back or to turn him around and hug him and kiss him but she knew it would be so wrong if she did.

With a sigh Link wrote Taylor's number down on a piece of paper. He didn't offer his number-he didn't have one.
Link walked out of his room, expecting Taylor to follow. He locked up behind him and started for the elevator.
He was deep in thought of his dysfunctional family. His mother had died before he had turned one so Link had always wondered if she had been a reject like he was. Did it run in the family? Would his kids get it?
Did Dad know Mom was a gifted?
He punched the buttons in the elevator and waited for it to take him to the lobby, where he'd begin a silent walk to wherever Taylor lived.

Taylor
09-10-2011, 01:28 AM
Taylor watched as Link copied her number down and she sighed, she paused for a moment after he began to walk but then she followed as anyone could have guessed she would. Taylor felt in no position to argue with this boy at the moment, she felt stupid enough for playing with him before like she had. The silent walk down his hallway to the silent ride down the elevator was upsetting to her, Taylor hated this sort of silence and chewed her lip nervously to try and ease her stress. She could see in the way that Link punched the buttons that he was frustrated with how the night had ended... or maybe just frustrated with her, either way it was painful and she wished she could make it all better. As they began their walk to her place Taylor kept racking her mind for something to say to Link but she kept drawing a blank, it was impossible to talk after something like that.

09-10-2011, 01:54 AM
Link walked under the dark sky. He was waiting for Taylor to say something but she didn't.
Was she mad too?
Link felt kind of bad for blowing up on her. She was only being a child after all; she was used to taking things for granted. Still, Link hated when people complained about their parents, the thing he wished he had the most.
Technically he had a parent, he just wasn't sure how he was doing or where he was. There was part of Link that wanted to hate him for his attempted murder, but he was his father after all. He was supposed to love him.
Link blinked back into the present world and stared at Taylor. He was about to say something when he remembered she didn't want to be talked to.
Or was he the one who didn't want to talk?
He kept walking, waiting for Taylor to tell him where they would stop.

Taylor
09-10-2011, 02:03 AM
Taylor kept stealing glances at Link as they walked, he seemed as uncomfortable as she did and for that she felt incredibly bad, in fact she felt bed for everything that had occurred back at his place. Maybe Link wanted her to say something, but on the other hand maybe he didn't because if he wanted to talk wouldn't he say something. They were drawing nearer to the building in which her family occupied the penthouse and he heart was pounding. Taylor was well aware that if she wanted to talk to him she would have to initiate it and she would have to do it now because it seemed like the were growing so much nearer every second. Taylor looked up at him again, she moved in front of him and placed her hand gently on his chest "Link please, I am sorry" she said very softly, looking down for a long moment before looking up to meet his eyes.

09-10-2011, 02:11 AM
Link paused as Taylor came in front of him. He didn't say anything at first; he didn't know what to say.
He could be a jerk and shove her off.
Or he could be the guy he usually was, the guy he wanted to be.
Link sighed. "It is so hard to see the little five-year-olds telling their mom to fuck off or the preteens locking themselves in their rooms because their parents were looking out for them. It's hard to see the adults joking about their dead parents or the teenagers plotting their revenge on their parents: death."
Link looked away, his grey eyes shining a pale colour. "And it is extremely difficult to stare at the people who think their parents hate them. I can be sensitive. I'm sorry."
Link still wasn't staring at her when he side stepped her and started walking again.

Taylor
09-10-2011, 02:20 AM
Taylor felt a sharp pain ring through her body as he told her it was hard for him to look at her because of what she had said, the truth was her parent's truly could be better parents but she was sure they loved her in their own way. "Link please don't do this" she called after him before she walked briskly to reach him she so desperately wanted to reach out and grab his arm but she knew it would not end well if she made the decision to. "If you plan on never speaking to me again, spare me more pain and just let me walk home alone Link" she said much softer than she had been speaking before. She was sincere in her feeling for him and in her statement because it would only hurt her more for him to leave her at the door and never speak to her again then if he would just walk away from her now.

Link paused. Never want to talk to her again?
He shook his head, clearing the words from existence. "Taylor, we all have our moments. We all recover from them as well. I'd love to talk to you again."
Link sighed. This girl was hard to read and he wasn't going to use his powers to figure her out. That'd be cheating, but since when were they rules?
He wanted to learn about this girl, but what if he screwed it up before he had the chance?
"Are we here?" Link asked, staring up at the large house before him.
Nice place.

09-10-2011, 02:49 AM
Taylor stopped and looked up at the large skyscraper "yes, this is me... well the penthouse is at least", the doorman greeted her with a gentle nod and a 'good evening miss Hayes' as was his typical greeting. "I want to talk to you again too Link" she said softly, looking up at him with her blue eyes shining, slightly wet from tears. She desperately wanted everything to be back to how it was before he freaked out and told her about his father and his past, her heart truly hurt from his story and she was unsure why she felt such a connection to the guy. Taylor was one who could normally brush off a guy easily even after a few dates but somehow Link was different to her, she just could feel it.

Link stared at the doorman. He turned his gaze back to Taylor. "Until next time, Miss Hayes," Link said, although no smile tugged at his lips.
He turned around to head back to his hotel but he was suddenly exhausted. Link ran past Taylor's penthouse and through some bushes until he was completely hidden from view. He put his two diners together and pulled them apart, releasing a portal.
Link looked around him and, upon finding the coast to be clear, he stepped into the swirls of purple light and was immediately on his bed. "God I hate doing that," he murmured, but he wasn't sure what he was talking about.

Taylor
09-10-2011, 03:05 AM
Taylor watched Link for a moment before turning to head into her building, the doorman gave her a slight smile as they had quite a good relationship, he had watched her grow up after all. Taylor walked to the elevator and the headed up to her stunning penthouse suite, walking in it looked like it was out of a design magazine with the exception of her mother sitting there alone, in the dark, staring at her as she walked in. "Hi" Taylor said softly before trying to escape to her bedroom, she knew how the argument would go, she would be questioned about where she was and even before she could answer she would be yelled at about how she represents her family and she can't be out with people her parents do not approve of, projecting a vulgar image of herself. How her being out with a boy projects a vulgar image (it's not like she is sleeping with the boys) she could never understand but she probably would not even have the strength to argue tonight... and well... maybe she shouldn't given what had happened tonight.

Link woke with a start. He stared all around him but everything was blurry. He blinked twice until the world came into focus. He stared at a clock on the wall. The small hand pointed to halfway between the twelve and the one. "Why do I keep sleeping so much?" Link asked himself. He stared at his hand to find it empty but his wrist had a red line running down his vein. "What the hell?"
He traced his finger down the underside of his arm and wiped away the blood. Paired with the scar his father had given him, Link's scars now formed the letter L.
Link sighed. This was just another reason for people to believe he was depressed.
Which he probably should have been.

Taylor manged to get to her room without an argument for once and she quickly changed and got into bed, wanting this day to end already. Taylor rolled over in her bed which was heaped with overstuffed pillows and cushy blankets, despite the fact that Taylor liked it to be cold when she slept she also liked it to be very cozy. Taylor slowly opened her eyes and she was instantly hit with the bright sunlight which was coming in through her big picture windows and with the reality of how last night had ended. Pushing her blankets off her and sitting herself up against all the pillows Taylor took a deep breath in, she grabbed her cell phone just to make sure she hadn't missed a call from Link, which she clearly hadn't. Forcing herself to get out of bed she headed to the bathroom where she took a quick shower and then she finished washing up before doing her hair and makeup. Once Taylor had finished up in the washroom she went over to her closet and grabbed out her uniform which consisted of a skirt, a button down white shirt, a tie, knee socks, and she also grabbed a sweater to throw over top. Once she was dressed Taylor grabbed her phone before heading out of her room and straight out of her home, with a quick stop by the door to grab her school bag.

After Link had run piping hot water over his arm he leaned his head against his bathroom mirror and sighed. His arm was red from the heat of the water but Link didn't care.
Sure it hurt, but so did everything else in the world.
Taylor's face drifted into Link's mind and Link straightened himself. He remembered what had been said the previous night and muttered a swear.
He hoped Taylor wasn't still mad at him. But then again, girls could always hold grudges for insanely long periods of time.
Link grabbed his keys and walked out of the door. He had time before Taylor got out of school. Maybe he'd get some flowers of chocolates for her. Then he'd go escort her home and make sure everything was all right between them.
Link prayed it was.

Taylor reached school after a calm walk through the city which was quite rare, she had managed somehow to block out everyone around her even if it meant her constantly replaying last night and thinking about the amazing guy she felt like she ruined things with. Taylor suffered through her English class, painted her heart out in her art class and managed her way through both her math courses, her day seemed impossibly long but at the same time it had gone by quite quickly. Taylor rose from her seat in front of Jake, the typical hot jock of the school, gave him a quick weak smile, as he had spent the entire class trying to talk with her which she usually suffered through solely to maintain her social group which he happened to be in, and left. She walked through the crowded halls ignoring her friends who would not leave her alone about where she was last night since she hadn't responded to any of their texts. Finally reaching her locker she threw her books in a grabbed her bag before pushing her way out of school into the big garden which posed as a front to the school.

Link stared at his striped caranation, a flower bought especially for Taylor.
It means I'm sorry, the florist had said although he doubted Taylor would know that. To him, a flower was a flower.
Maybe Taylor was different. Link didn't know, and he wasn't sure if he wanted that. If she did know her colour/flower coordinations then she'd get that he was sorry, but what if she wasn't mad?
Link shook his head and proceeded to take the remaining steps to Taylor's school. "Welcome to Dalton," a sign read. It was way too old and looked like it had lived through a fire. Link shrugged and his eyes scanned all of the kids that came piling out of the doors.
All the kids seemed to file out, but there was no sign of Taylor. He sighed and closed his eyes. "Where are you where are you, you can't have gone far. Show me your whereabouts, you can't be far."
Link didn't like spells, they made him feel like a reject of Hogwarts. Spells had no visible effects on him though-like eyes changing colours, mainly-so he used them when in public.
A picture of Taylor flashed in his mind, she was in a garden. Link opened his eyes and scanned the school until he saw a garden. A pillar had been blocking his view of it, so he smiled and trotted over. The white and purple flower was held firm. "Taylor!"

Taylor made her way through the garden slowly, she was doing what she had done on her walk to school and was managing quite well at blocking out everyone around her. The flowers were blooming slowly in the garden and it was quite pretty and very calming for her so she felt it was a good choice to take her time. All of the sudden Taylor was broken out of her soothed state but someone calling her name, it stood out from how her friends would have called her and she instantly looked towards the voice. Across the garden and a sea of people leaving school she saw Link's face, she held back a smile but was sure her joy was evident all across her face. Taylor walked quickly towards him and once she reached him her smile was clear on her face, she wanted to hug him so desperately but she also did not want to draw any more attention to the situation. Taylor knew her friends would soon find her and if she was with Link, standing like this, so close, him with a gorgeous flower in his hand she was sure they would freak out and scare him.

Taylor nearly ran over to him, her face was bright with visible glee. "Hi," he said with a smile.
Link stood, frozen in place, until he took it all in. Taylor was over her grudge; that was a good sign. Link remembered the flower in his hand and handed it to her. "It's a carnation," he said in case she didn't know. The flower looks like cotton, except for the purple drizzle that circled the carnation.
Link didn't know what else to say. He smiled, the sun reflecting off of his grey eyes. His hair appeared a near gold in this kind of lighting. "Want a walk home?" Link asked. He then remembered how Taylor felt about her parents. "Or if you want to go somewhere?"

Taylor smiled at him, she liked that he had come just to see her "Hi" she said softly to him while looking up at him with her eyes which seemed incredibly blue on a sunny day like this. Taylor took the flower "Thank you and I know" she said with a cute smirk she was wondering why exactly he had come but she for sure wasn't complaining, he looked amazing in this lighting and she could feel everyone staring at the two of them who seemed to be radiating some sort of golden light in the middle of the school's front. Taylor knew she looked incredibly cute in her little uniform but she was unsure she wanted to go out in it, "One second" she said quickly to him. Taylor slipped off her sweater, her tie, unbuttoned her shirt to just above her bust and untucked it from her skirt "okay now we can go somewhere" she said with a sweet and a little bit sexy smile while she stuffed her clothing in her bag.

Link blusher just a bit when Taylor removed her clothes. He looked around the school grounds, trying to keep his eyes distracted so he wouldn't have to look at her...body.
Her glorious body.
"Okay then, Taylor," he said, trying to look at her eyes. "Where to?"
Link was having too much trouble keeping focoused; he was a male teenager after all. "Taylor," he said slowly, but instead of hurting her he just faced his back to her.
Just think of her as a zucchini.
Link turned around but his idea didn't work. He placed a shaky hand to her chest and did a button. "I'm sorry," he murmured as his eyes stayed at the button. "Too much."

Taylor smiled sweetly "anywhere you want, I suck at deciding things" she said softly to Link, it was true when it came to her making decisions about where to go she could never decide. When he turned her back to her Taylor was ready to turn him around and ask him why he came if he was going to turn his back to her. She was about to say something when Link turned back around and did up a button of her shirt, murmuring about how it was too much,Taylor didn't think she had anything showing and she felt incredibly covered up right now but she didn't want to make him uncomfortable. "Okay" Taylor said softly even though she wasn't happy with it, "so Link, where to love?" she asked softly, looking at him innocently.

Link's eyes didn't remove from her button. "One thing you should know," he said, his eyes finally moving north. "My mother died early in my life. I was raised by my father, and he taught me to look at a girl the uh, 'right way'." Link added air quotes with his fingers. "Unless you want me to suffer, please."
He gave her a smile but he knew that was never something easy to hear. "Well on a higher note, maybe we should go to the movies. Or if you prefer, we can hang out where you usually hang out, wherever that is."
A thought crossed Link's mind and he straightened a bit.
What about her friends?
He looked down and said, "Unless you'd like to hang out with some friends. It doesn't really matter to me; I can go...draw, I guess."
Link didn't really want to draw, he wanted to hang out with Taylor. But he knew you never did get what you wanted.

Taylor

Taylor nodded slightly and accepted his explanation for making her cover up more although she did not exactly like it. Taylor was definitely not what one would define as an 'easy girl' but she did like to dress in a way that he may perceive as too provocative. Taylor smiled weakly at Link and then turned her attention to his question "I don't really care to go to a movie right now but I am not sure where we should hang out" she said softly but then Link suggested she go hang out with her friends without him "no" she responded very quickly "I want to hang out with you" she said softly and a little embarrassed. Taylor looked up at Link "how about we go uh... not for coffee again but that is what I usually do after school, you choose please" she said, the end sounding like a beg.

Link was a little surprised when Taylor said no so quickly to hanging out with friends. Was it possible she didn't have any?
He left the idea alone and thought of someplace else to hang out. He thought of the woods and hesitated before mentioning it.
Sure it was a nice place to view the Hudson and if you were lucky you could spot a deer or even a bear.
It was also a famous place for crimes such as rapes.
Link smiled a little and said quietly, "Do you want to hang out in the forest? The sights there are pretty nice."
His muscles tensed a little as he waited for her answer.
She probably thinks I don't want to hang out with her for the right reasons, Link thought to himself.

Taylor looked at Link hesitantly for a second she knew the forest had a bad reputation as well as being known for a great view. Taylor had only known this guy for a day and he had come to her in a very forward way, she somehow trusted him a great deal which was difficult for her but this seemed to scream bad idea. Taylor took a deep breath and worked a smile onto her face "We can go to the forest", Taylor had worked it into her mind that she would be able to defend herself but she just seemed to trust Link.

The hesitation before she agreed, Link didn't let it go. He simply turned towards the woods and started walking. "You ever go into the woods?" he asked, his eyes focusing on what was in front of him. "I know its rep is pretty bad but all in all it's a great place. If anything happens I'll protect you."
Link would protect her. It wouldn't be hard, not with what he could do. His only worry was that something would happen and he'd have to use his powers.
That would mean Taylor would have to see his abilities and she'd probably think he was the weirdest thing in the world. She'd run away, right out of his life.
Just like everyone else.

Taylor

Taylor didn't like how Link was walking, in front of her, it seemed as though he was almost walking away from her. He was going on about the forest's reputation and how he would protect her but she was barely listening. Taylor reached out and grabbed Link's hand, stopping him from walking any further "what is wrong Link, why are you acting like this towards me?" she asked sounding very hurt, not mad, just hurt. Taylor looked up at him with her blue eyes looking incredibly sad and she just waited for his response, she just didn't get why he was so hot and cold, one minute he can't keep his eyes off her to the point where he made her cover up and now he won't even look at her. This guy had the strange power over her that he could actually get to her, how he treated her mattered to her.

Link stopped as Taylor held onto his hand. His eyes stared into her ice ones, an unreadable look on them.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I mean, I'm so used to people running away from me. You, you actually want to be with me. I'm just waiting for you to be taken away. Too good to be true."
He shook his head and looked away. "I'm really trying-I reall am enjoying your company Taylor. But I'm so unused to it I don't know what to do."
He locked eyes with her. "If that made any sense whatsoever." He offered a small smile and awkwardly started walking again.
He couldn't shake the fear that Taylor would be taken from him. They'd never be able to find him, not here, but he was still worried.
What if, impossibly, they found him?
What if Taylor ran away when she saw them?
What if he was left alone, again?
What if?

Taylor listened as Link spoke, he seemed so unsure of himself and what he was saying and it confused her, she usually could read people well but Link was special and she could see it. Taylor heard him talk about people leaving him and how she was different because she wanted to be with him "of course I want to be with you Link, I wouldn't waste my time and get upset when you do these things if I didn't want to be with you" she said incredibly sweetly to him. "Just, be with me, it doesn't matter what exactly you do as long as you are with me love" she continued in the same sweet tone, she just wanted him to feel comfortable with her but he just didn't seem to be able to. In truth Taylor wanted more than him to just be comfortable but she would settle with that for now.

It doesn't matter what exactly you do, Taylor had said, the only real words Link had frowned at. He didn't know how true these words were.
After all, Taylor had never met someone who could sculpt themselves into a dinosaur.
"Taylor, I have to tell you something." Link's words surprised himself. He turned and faced Taylor, his eyes an undecided grey. "I don't know how to say this," he muttered, his eyes drifting to the ground.
Don't tell her Link.
Go ahead, tell her.
He was having a fight with his conscience, something he thought had disappeared a long time ago.
"Taylor, I am not an average..." He couldn't take this. "I love you," he said instead.
Chicken shit.
His hands went numb as he thought of how Taylor would take the false news.

Taylor
09-18-2011, 01:06 AM
Taylor looked at him confused as he said he had to tell her something, she was interested, maybe she would learn why she couldn't figure this guy out like every other one. Taylor looked into his grey eyes which seemed so uncertain as if he wasn't sure he would actually tell her what he was about to, Taylor listened patiently as Link struggled to get his words out. When Link finally got out what he was trying to say Taylor was shocked and she didn't believe it for a second "Link you do not love me so don't say that, tell me what you truly wanted to say to me, I can handle it" she said softly. It hurt her that he would say that when it evidently wasn't true, it toyed with how she felt about him and she didn't like it.

Link's eyes pinched shut as he took ragged breaths. "I know I've only known you since yesterday but God Taylor I love you so much."
For a second Link couldn't believe himself. He was proud for telling the biggest secret of his life but now that he had chickened out he had to spin this tale.
His body was getting hot with anger at himself. He didn't like that he had to keep his powers a secret. That was probably why he had no friends.
That, and everyone he did tell turned out like his dad.
Link felt a spark at his fingers, fire. He opened his eyes immediately just in time to see a flame eating at his fingers.
He was too hot. Fire always came when he was too hot.
"Oh shit," Link muttered as he patted his finger against his pants. The small ember died out and Link looked up into Taylor's eyes. "Uh," he said, not finding an explanation to what had just happened.

Taylor

Taylor could tell Link was freaking out a bit just from his intense facial expressions and difficulty breathing but she sensed something even deeper that was causing this reaction. Taylor listened as Link lied his way through this little moment but she wasn't buying it at all "Link, I wish it was true that you loved me but it isn't so please tell me what is going on in your mind" she said gently. Taylor took one of his hands gently in hers and looked into his face sympathetically though his eyes were closed. Then Taylor felt heat by her body, Link eyes opened quickly and he killed the fire on his pants. Taylor took as step away, dropping his other hand which she had been holding, Link couldn't find words for what had just happened but Taylor had a feeling this wasn't news to him that he could do this "Link please just tell me, I am not running away from you, that should prove something" Taylor knew instinctively that this is what he must have been struggling with the entire time they have been together.

Link sighed, defeated. He couldn't hide it anymore. "Look, Taylor, I know you're just going to run away. I don't blame you. But I can do these...things."
Link's eyes flashed a red hue. He didn't notice though, but he looked away. "Since the day I was born I've been different. I'm like Superman, only I'm more powerful. I can do a lot more than he can. I understand if you don't believe me Taylor but..."
Link looked up and sighed. He looked up and in seconds he was gone. He reappered moments later in the same spot. "I can make myself invisible, among other things."
Link braced himself. He knew Taylor was going to run away. They all did.
He also waited for them to come and slash him to shreads.

"Link I am still standing here" she said softly, her heart and mind were racing but she managed to appear calm to him and she was at least satisfied with that. Taylor listened silently as Link spoke and then she watched silently as he disappeared and reappeared before her eyes, he continued to explain to her what he could do and Taylor just stood, silently biting her lower lip. Taylor recognized he was finished and was waiting for a reaction from her "well you are certainly the most interesting guy I have ever met" she said innocently before looking up at him and smiling. "Link, I told you I wouldn't run and I will not so please just take a deep breath".

Link's eyes flickered a deep blue before they returned to their grey colour. Taylor was still there. She wasn't leaving.
Not yet.
Link smiled and wrapped his arms around Taylor. "Oh thank you," he said into her ear. "Thank you thank you thank you."
He pushed away as a pain ripped through his stomach. The pain crippled him, sending him to his knees. "Oh dammit," he muttered. "I knew this would happen. Fuck."
Link stared up at Taylor. "Hang on tight." He held her hand tightly and pinched his eyes shut. In seconds they were back in his bedroom. His veins glowed a vibrant purple before returning to normal. Link opened his eyes and looked around. "I am so sorry," Link murmured as he saw his veins. He held up his hand, knowing Taulor had caught it to. "When I use my...magic, let's say, my appearance changes. It's usually my eyes or skin but I've had stranger ones. It only avoids the change if I use a spell, but I hate those things."
Link's head started thumping. He held it in pain. "What the hell?" he moaned. "I shouldn't have done this."

Taylor

Taylor stared at Links eyes as they changed before her, she found that unbelievably cool, even more so than anything else he could do, lets just say she had a thing for really sick eyes. Taylor loved the feeling of Link's arms around her so she just stood there and let him hug her as she smiled like an idiot. Taylor heart dropped as she saw Link pull away and drop to his knees in pain, "What is going on, why are you in so much pain" she said in a very panicked voice while staring at him with a look of deep concern. The next second Taylor and Link were suddenly back at his place in her bedroom where she was last night "Link what is going on?" Taylor screamed as she watched his body change, then she glanced down and saw her own body begin to change. "Link why don't you just use spells" she said still freaking out before he moaned in pain, Taylor didn't understand why she wasn't in pain as well, then it hit her body crushing pain "oh god" she screamed as she fell onto his bed, holding her body in pain.

Link glanced up as Taylor complained. "Leave her alone you sick bastards!" he hollered. He forced himself to his feet and placed his hands in front of him. "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack cure Taylor for she is sick."
He pinched his eyes shut, waiting for the spell to work its wonders and cure Taylor of any pain she had.
"I'm sorry Taylor. These sick assholes are-" Bis voice cracked as more pain ripped through him. "These beautifully gorgeous gentlemen," Link corrected, "think I shouldn't have told you my little secret."
He fell onto his bed. "Look, just because you have a friend that can rid you of pain does not mean you can do whatever you want, okay?" Link sighed softly. "I can cure you. But I hate using my magic. And when I do, they can find me. And do not let them find me."
He looked away, showing he didn't want to explain who they were. "And do not make me use spells. All it needs to do is rhyme for it to work but...I hate them. It makes me feel like a wizard reject."

09-20-2011, 01:56 AM
Taylor felt as if the pain drained slowly out of her body from the top to the bottom and out into the floor, she caught her breath and looked at him. Taylor couldn't stand to watch as he suffered in such intense pain "I won't tell anyone I swear, you can trust me Link" she said intensely worried. "I won't go around doing stupid shit, don't worry I won't let you be at risk" she said sincerely before moving towards Link and gently placed one of her hands on is forehead and one on his chest "I won't do anything you don't want me to" she whispered as she gently slipped her fingers through his hair hoping to let his breathe just a bit.

Link sighed, trying to calm himself down. He was still feeling the pain, but he wouldn't let Taylor know. "Hey," he murmured. "Don't worry about me, okay? I can just fix myself."
It was a lie; Link was immune to most healing spells. He didn't want Taylor to worry so he left this out.
Link gulped and let his eyes drift shut. "Eighteen years of that nonsense and you pretty much learn how to deal with it."
Link had never had pain so severe before. The only people he tried to tell never really believed him.
So since he felt pain, that must mean Taylor believed him. He pulled her into a hug, pushing her hair away from her face. "I'll try to prevent that from happening again. I promise."

"I will worry Link and I am surprised you don't know that" she said softly Taylor smiled gently at him before he pulled her into him. "I don't like you hurting... it scares me" she whispered gently to him as she looked into his eyes, this was her heaven to be close to him like this but she didn't like the circumstances. "Link, why couldn't you have made this easy and just have loved me?" she asked with a cute smirk, she wanted to just make him feel better. Taylor could feel Link struggling against the pain under her and she bit her lower lip trying to control her emotions.

"I am sorry I scared you," Link said, actually meaning it. He leaned into her, listening to her heart.
When Taylor gave him a small tease Link smirked. "Who says I don't" he asked, but he didn't mean it.
Or did he?
Link couldn't tell. He didn't want to answer the question anyway. "Alright, so I guess this means no secrets from this point?" Link asked. He stared into Taylor's blue eyes. "Let me start. I am scared of Mickey Mouse. He reminds me of a pedophile."
Link laughed, finally able to change the subject.

Taylor laughed for what seemed like the first time in a very long time "you are really going to play that game with me?" she asked with a smile. No lying... this was a hard agreement for Taylor she wasn't ready to share completely with Link as much as she felt connected to him. Taylor looked at Link innocently and contemplated whether she could handle telling him or not, then again he had just shared his biggest secret with her even though it meant serious pain for him. Taylor laughed as Link told her about his Mickey Mouse fear but this laugh was far less genuine than her laugh before.

Link straightened as he didn't get an answer from Taylor. She was probably waiting for the just the right time to leave without breaking his heart.
His eyes stared into hers, a sad look played on them. "My favourite animal is a Tyrannasaurous Rex. Don't go telling me they aren't real because I've seen one before."
Link let out a little laugh, just trying to keep the conversation moving. "I've even been one before. I'm telling you: when you're taller than the tallest building in New York City it's time to get a life and stop playing with yourself."
He smiled, recalling his childhood days. Of course he had acted up. He had been a child after all.
"My favourite colour is grey. Don't ask. It's my natural colour. I hate when my eyes change."

Taylor looked into Link's eyes as he spoke, she managed to push her secret out of her mind for the moment and just listened to him talk. Taylor laughed and ran her fingers through Link's hair as he spoke of his childhood and his favorite animal. "I don't have one" she said with a smile, "I really do love all animals, except for spiders and such because they are just freaky." Taylor liked when she saw a genuine smile cross Link's face, it seemed to bright, so full of life and it somehow made her happy too. As Link moved on to talking about his eyes and how he hates how they change and that grey is his natural color Taylor just stared at him, she was thinking... then she took a deep breath and leaned into Link their lips almost touching but not yet, she wanted his to move that last little bit to confirm it is what he wants.

Taylor didn't like spiders. In that way she was just a normal girl.
But she was anything but.
The way she laughed, it made Link want to smile. He felt her press closer until she looked like she was about to kiss him. Link froze, until he realised she had stopped.
Had she changed her mind?
Link sat, petrified. He opened his mouth to say something but no words came out. His eyes dropped to his hands.
He could turn a freaking county into flames. But at this moment he didn't know what to do.
Link closed his eyes and slowly finished what Taylor had started.

Taylor waited for a moment, not breathing as Link sat there unmoving, for a moment she thought she had made a mistake but then his lips met hers and she kissed him back gently. Taylor had been so worried in that moment that he didn't move to kiss her and it made her realize just how much she liked this guy. Taylor allowed everything that had gone on today just slip her mind as she had let her secret fall to the back of her mind earlier. Taylor kissed him for only a moment more before breaking the kiss, pulling away gently to look into his eyes and smile softly.

Link stilled as Taylor pushed away. When he opened his eyes she was staring back at him.
Link's face coloured slightly. He wouldn't have been surprised if his eyes had turned the shade of red his cheeks now were-his eyes sometimes worked as mood indicators. He looked away and, upon staring into a mirror, was satisfied to find them a dull grey.
Link looked back at Taylor and tried to smile. He didnt know what to do now; he had never had a kiss like that.
He had never had a kiss period.
Link's eyes fell to his hands again. "Um," he started but he couldn't even start a sentence.

Taylor saw a blush start in Link's cheeks and seem to spread across his entire face, it made her smile even more that he had reacted like that. Taylor saw him look back to take a glance in the mirror behind them in which she could see herself, her hair was all messed and her face was flushed like his but her eyes were intensely blue. Taylor watched as link's eyes dropped to his hands and she slipped her fingers back into his hair, sliding them through to the back of his neck and ran her fingers along it gently. She wanted to make him look back up at her and kiss her again, she didn't want to have to be in control she wanted him to step up and show how he felt.

Link didn't know what to make of Taylor's actions. Her fingers were just brushing his blonde hair along his neck after running through the top. "I'm not really sure what you want me to do," Link admitted. His eyes seemed to form grey clouds that spiraled around his irises. Link didn't notice-otherwise he found have made his eyes normal. "I was an only child and I was raised by my dad. I don't have experience with girls." His eyes fell to Taylor's cleavage and he cleared his throat. "Women."
Link was trying to come up with a spell just in case Taylor was trying to do something stupid. He couldn't find any rhymes and silently cursed himself.

Taylor smiled softly "it's okay" said said gently "just... I want you to kiss me, take control" she continued "I mean, that is if you want to" she finished quickly. She saw Link's eyes roam over her body and she blushed slightly, she was so unsure of herself although she outwardly appeared confident. Taylor simply wanted Link to take her in his arms tightly and do whatever he chose to with her. It is not as if she had so much experience with guys, she was completely uninterested in the guys at her school who thought that just because they were football stars every girl just wanted them desperately. Taylor was not that girl she was the friendly, bubbly, outgoing girl but inside she was quiet, and so unsure of herself.

Link was no fool; he did exactly as he was told. He kissed Taylor shyly and quickly and tried to smile. "I've known you for two days and already you know what I can do. My dad knew me for years before I told him and he was the man who raised me. There's something about you."
He smiled and looked away. Link slowly eased off the bed and walked to the door. "I'll be back."
He walked into his bathroom and locked the door. Link stared at himself in the mirror.
What he would normally consider acceptable now looked a mess. His hair was going in every direction; luckily it was a solid sandy colour and that didn't show. His eyes looked tired, although he wouldn't have noticed before. His facial hair had started to grow out although Link knew his beard never really grew. He closed his eyes and shook his head.
The first person he talked to in who knows how long has already shared two kisses with him, as well as caused him to double over in pain.
At this rate, he was screwed.

The kiss when Link kissed Taylor was very different from when she had kissed him just moments before, it seemed rushed and less gentle. Taylor smiled at his comment but she sensed something was wrong and it was confirmed when he rose and said he would be back. Taylor lay down on his bed but moved to where the pillows were at the head, she stared up at the ceiling and wondered what she had done wrong. She took her hands and slid up her shirt to expose her entire stomach and she began feeling it, she moved her hands across it, pushing down as she did. Taylor then slid her hands down to feel her hip bones which were quite prominent but she felt they could show just a bit more. Taylor then reached her hands up and undid a button of her shirt and then began to feel her collarbones, this was her ritual every day in bed and she could not believe she dared to do this when he could just walk in. Taylor would normally sit up and inspect her legs but instead she reached back down and felt each of her ribs, as she did she counted each of them. Taylor liked feeling her bones but she felt guilty sometimes and she was never satisfied, she always felt they could show just a bit more and she always managed to find some fat on her tiny frame.

After using the bathroom and wiping away his sweat Link wrapped his fingers around the doorknob. He stared at the door, deep in his thoughts about Taylor.
He wondered if this was what all girls were like. He knew Mother Teresa was dead and no one acte like her anymore, but it's not like everyone was like Emma Stone from that movie Easy A. Maybe Taylor just really liked him, and she wanted him to like her back.
In the midst of Link's confusion he felt the doorknob start to get really warm. He stared down and noticed his fingers were a fiery red.
"Stop that," Link scolded. His fingers slowly resumed their pale colour. He turned the knob and took in a breath before entering his room. Taylor was splayed across his bed, but she looked like she was undressing.
Oh God, Link thought before pressing his back against the wall and string away from Taylor.

Taylor looked up from her stomach and saw Link had walked in the room and now was completely freaked out, she pulled her shirt down as quickly as she could and mumbled "sorry". Taylor looked at him innocently, trying to find words for what she was doing but she could find no explanation that didn't require her telling him all about her or doing something sexual with him which she did not want at the moment. She sat up slowly and buttoned up the button she had undone "I really am sorry" she said softly. Taylor was unsure of what to say after that so she just sat there, silently staring at him hoping he would say something, in some ways she wanted him to ask what she was doing just to get it off her chest.

Link was breathing hard. There was only ever one explanation for getting undressed on a man's bed. He didn't want to believe it, but what else could she be doing? She muttered an apology but Link couldn't tell if it was forced.
He was a virgin of course; he had no idea what he would do. For a second Link felt like going back in time to the point where he walked up to Taylor and prevented it. Time traveling always screwed things up though. Link always remembered things from the future that never happened and it's hard to tell wether things happened or didn't when he time traveled.
Link faced Taylor, his eyes stone. "Taylor," he said slowly. "What are you doing?"
He tried to keep eye contact with her.

Taylor looked at him innocently "feeling my bones" she whispered, "it calms me" she added gently. She waited for the reaction which was inevitable, either he would freak out because he knew what it meant or he would ask her why that calmed her. Maybe calming wasn't the correct term, it did give her some anxiety about her weight and the fat which covered her bones but it also made her feel good to feel them protruding. Taylor bit her lower lip and stared at Link silently hoping he would surprise her and remain calm but she knew it was unlikely.

Feeling my bones.
Link just stared at Taylor with a blank expression. His eyes then sparked with realisation as he stared down at Taylor's stomach. His eyes went to her arms, her thighs, anywhere fat should have been.
Link had seen a show about anorexia before. Anyone who had it avoided food because they thought they were fat. They'd stop eating all together until their body started to eat itself. Some people became sixty pounds.
Others died.
Link scanned Taylor's face, a now worried look in his eyes. What other explanation could there be? If she was making things up, that'd probably provide a bit of comfort to Link.
But why would she lie if Link just placed so much trust in her?
"Why?" Link murmured, a single syllable that could mean anything.

Taylor looked down, at her own body and then back up at Link, his simple question why said so much about who he was but at the same time it could mean anything. Taylor took it for what she wanted it to mean and answered what she chose to answer, she wanted to believe that he understood and that he was concerned. "Because I am sick" she said softly, she wanted him not to hate her for this realization but at the same time she had never really told anyone, her parents certainly didn't know and neither did her best friends. Taylor had this odd concept in her mind that she was not skinny enough to be sick and therefore if she told anyone that they wouldn't believe her. Taylor just stared at her own stomach for fear of looking into Link's unbelievable grey eyes despite the fact that she could not stand the sight of her body.

"You are sick," Link repeated, a look of disgust in his eyes. He closed his eyes and suddenly his hair stood on end, a jet black. It returned to the colour of sand as he opened his eyes and stared at the Taylor he had just crafted.
The skinny girl before him was now at least two-hundred pounds. Her rolls protruded from her extremely tight shirt.
"Whether you look like this," Link murmured, then closed his eyes once again. There was no visible sign that Link had preformed his magic until Taylor began to shrink back to her normal self. "Or this," Link said, staring at her eyes. "It would not matter."
His arms crossed over his chest. "Sick is not self-inflicted. Anorexia is self-inflicted. Cut it out."

Taylor looked at Link silently for a moment before standing up, she crossed the room and brushed past Link quickly, their bodies barely touching as she did. In seconds Taylor was out in the hall and heading down it quickly, the tears were slowly coming to her eyes as she broke into a run towards the elevators. Taylor hit the button violently and waited, her heart racing, for the damn slow elevator to come, she fell against the wall and completely broke down in tears. Link was the only person she had ever told about this and she got the reaction she had feared the most, disgust and blame, this disease was not a choice and so many people did not understand this. After what seemed like hours Taylor heard the ding of the elevator hit her floor and she stepped in.

Link shook his head and with superhuman speed ran into the elevator. "You cannot run from me," he pointed as the doors began to close. "I can run faster than any car on this earth, remember? Now."
He looked down at Taylor. His eyes rested at her stomach. Link shook his head again. "I'm going to help you," he decided as his eyes found their way back to Taylor's. "You will not die because of something so stupid. We are going to McDonald's and you are getting a Big Mac. You will eat the enitre thing. Got it?"
He was acting bossy now, but Link had to. Taylor was the only one who actually knew about him.
He couldn't let her die. Not like this.
The elevator doors began to open but Link didn't worry about that. He held a force field around the elevator, waiting for Taylor's answer. She wasn't going anywhere. Not with Link Hyrix guarding her.

Taylor looked up at him with tear filled eyes "I can't... this is self inflicted, you are wrong about this and I hate you for thinking that. Educate yourself and then you can see me, till then, let me go" she said much stronger than she had imagined she could. Taylor was holding her breath to stop her from breaking down more in front of Link, she just wanted to push him away and leave but he wasn't letting that happen so easily and she knew that. She just stood there, her tiny frame looking weak and helpless as she stared at him silently.

Link shook his head sadly. He grabbed Taylor's hand harder than he probably should have and pinched his eyes shut. Once he opened them they were at a hospital.
There was a girl in a hospital bed. Her eyes were shut and her hair was a dark cloud around her head. She had no meat in her. Next to her was an EKG that was making a single, long beep.
The girl on the bed, a skinnier version of Taylor, was dead.
Link stared at the real Taylor with cold eyes. "Do you want this to happen to yourself, Taylor? Do you want to lay here, in this cold place, completely alone as you take your last breath?"
In seconds the setting changed back to the elevator. Link moved out of the way, the forcefield now gone. "Because if you do, you can leave now."

"I don't want to be sick but I love when I am because it means I am doing it, I am committed and I will be skinny" Taylor screams in the elevator so loud she wouldn't be surprised if everyone heard it in their apartments. "I am fucked up so why don't you just leave me like everyone else does, you are the only person who knows the real me and you are disgusted, proves I am always fucking right" she continued to scream before she started bawling. She was on the floor very soon, her knees to her chest and her arms wrapped around them and her head buried in them. Taylor was soon hyperventilating, she didn't cry in front of people, she cried alone in her room as she dug her nails into her skin nothing about what was going on right now was okay.

Link sighed and helped Taylor to her feet. He forced her to stare into his eyes, which by now had softened. "Why do you care what I think?" Link asked with a smirk. "I am just a high school drop out."
He recalled the first day they had met, not long ago at all. Link wasn't sure of the current time, but it couldn't have been more than twenty-four hours ago. He had told Taylor he was a high scool drop out, and she had jokingly made a big deal about it.
So why not continue the joke?
Link placed a steady hand on Taylor's shoulder. "I can help you," he said calmly. "But only if you'll let me try."

Taylor looked at him with bright blue eyes which were now red from crying and her soft skin was streaked with tears. Taylor smiled softly at his little joke from the first day they had met but it was mostly a forced smile. Link offered his help with her disorder but she wasn't sure she wanted it, she was happy living in this illness, she was getting skinny so it was okay she would reach her goal and then magically she would be okay, she was not like those other girls lying in hospitals, those girls were weak, getting help was weak, she was strong, she can do this on her own, get skinny and be happy. Taylor let herself fall into Link's strong chest, this was in no way her acceptance of his help but she just needed someone to support her.

Link patted Taylor's back as she fell into his arms. He let a smile play on his face. Anorexia wasn't something he could poof away like, say, cancer. Anorexia was a choice at first, until it became so real.
Until you did it so well your body started believing you didn't need food.
It looked like Taylor's body was already screwed up, but that shouldn't be hard to fix. "I am buying you a Big Mac," Link said in a voice that showed no other option was available. "And don't you dare throw it up because Taylor I will just buy you another one."
Link didn't exactly have money so he was hoping Taylor would just eat the thing, but something told her she wouldn't be able to.

"Link, I cannot it will get thrown up even if I don't want to, I haven't eaten in a couple days now, not more than coffee, water or an apple" she said softly through her tears. Taylor was still breathing rapidly but it had begun to slow down so that Link could understand her words now. Why couldn't he understand it, he was supposed to be smart and superhuman why couldn't he get that she had fallen so deep she was unsaveable and she didn't want to be saved, not now... maybe not ever. Until now Taylor had been content being alone with her disease, it comforted her and it was her friend. Taylor was in control... at least she pretended to be, in reality this disease controlled her. Taylor was strong... or she seemed it to other people till she went to her room and cried at 2 in the morning. Taylor was sick.

Link shook his head. "Then so be it." He knew that even if Taylor threw every single sandwich he got her up she wouldn't like it. Acid burned as it came up your throat. Taylor's throat would hurt so bad she'd force the bile to stay inside of her.
"Come on," he said as he headed for the door. "Just trust me on this one, okay?" He shook his head, not really wanting to trust himself. Taylor had fallen so far.
How could Link pull her back without letting himself fall far beneath the cracks?
No, he wouldn't magically become anorexic.
He already was.

"I have never had a big mac Link, I don't eat beef, please don't make me do this..." she pleaded with him as she followed him towards the door. Taylor grabbed his arm and stopped him, she looked up at him "I must look insane" she said as she tried to wipe her eyes which no doubt were ringed in runny black makeup. Taylor was doing everything she could to delay her torture, she hated to throw up and she never made herself do so but if she at mcdonalds and did not automatically throw up she would have to force it. Even before she became sick Taylor had never had a big mac, she didn't eat hamburgers much less crap ones like that. She had no doubt that she would not be able to hold that down especially when her body was so empty she didn't even feel the hunger anymore it was just part of her, normal everyday pain.

Link stared at her. He didn't move a single muscle until he spoke. "I thought we established this. I don't care how you look. Stop making this difficult, Taylor."
He grabbed her hand forcefully and wrapped his fingers around her wrist. It probably hurt, but Link wasn't going to let go.
Not until Taylor had that disgustingly unhealthy sandwich in her system.
Link tugged her along until they were outside. He knew dragging her all the way to a McDonald's would be a pain so he just closed his eyes.
The setting changed to the McDonald's parking lot and Link hesitated before opening his eyes. No one had seen them-thankfully-put that didn't stop them from giving Link a forceful jab through his stomach. It felt like a sword had pierced through his torso.
Link didn't dare release Taylor from his grasp. He had time to feel the pain later. For now, he was going to help Taylor.
Even if it was the last thing he'd be able to do before he dropped dead from them.

"I care Link! why don't you understand me!" she screamed at him but it was no use, he was dragging her and he was far stronger than her tiny body. His grip was painful on her wrist but there was no use in complaining to him she could see it in his eyes, she had gone from being perfect in his eyes to being this broken thing he was determined to fix even though she was unfixable until she wanted to be fixed. In a split second they were in the McDonald's parking lot and he was still gripping her, the fear truly sunk in now that they were here, there was that cold fine sweat that covered her body and her weak heart was pounding quick, she began to struggle in his grip, she would do anything to get away from this place.

Link dragged Taylor inside of the red roofed building that gave him the creeps.
That Ronald McDonald was definitely a pedophile, and his food wasn't exactly the healthiest. Link shook this off and walked up to the counter. "Give me a Big Mac and a large soda," he said as he dug into his pocket and slammed down a credit card.
Using a credit card at McDonald's was sad enough, but the credit card wasn't even his.
The teenager behind the counter gave Link a weird look but Link's eyes, a near blue, told him he'd better just give him his meal. The teenager's eyes fell to the teenager but Link was far too intimidating right now to say anything. "Anything else?"
Link shook his head, his hair falling over his eyes. He looked at Taylor as the next person was called. "That card is not mine. Either you eat this or you risk my good record."

Taylor continued to fight Link as he dragged her in and ordered her that disgusting food, the smell of the place alone was vile and put her on the edge of vomiting right there. Taylor bit her lower lip trying to hold it down and she tried to calm herself but breathing deeply was not an option, Taylor's free hand moved to her collarbone which was protruding from the rest of her body. Taylor did not even hear Link's comment, she was busy running her fingers across her collarbone trying to gain control of her body and mind. Taylor once again tried to rip her wrist from Link's grip hoping that now that they were inside and ordered he would release her. Taylor wondered that if she was to throw up right now which was likely would he let go of her but Taylor was working her hardest to keep it down, she really did hate throwing up.

Link grabbed the sandwich and brought Taylor to a table. He shoved her into a seat and sat so that he was blocking her exit.
He pulled the sandwich out of the box, finally releasing her from his grasp. "Eat," he ordered.
He placed his elbows on the table and held his head so that he saw only Taylor.
It figures he'd fall for someone who had an eating disorder.
Not that he had much room to talk.
Link's hand twitched, causing his elbow to fall off the table. He stared at his hand as it moved again.
What do you want? Link asked them through telepathy. Leave me alone.
Leave her alone, came a voice that was so loud Link couldn't hear for a few seconds afterwards. He looked around and noticed no one else had heard.
He stared at Taylor and swallowed.

Taylor stared at the sandwich before her, she was now released from his grip and that would have calmed her before, but now it was in front of her and she was being forced to eat it. Taylor's heart had sped up even more and she knew it was coming, she knew she couldn't hold it down much longer, bile, only bile, there was nothing else in her. Taylor's whole body began to shake, she couldn't even get the words out for Link to let her go. This wasn't about the food anymore, she had worked herself up and this was the result, it wouldn't have mattered if it was a salad in front of her dressed with lemon juice and vinegar she was in her own world. Taylor no longer saw or smelled the disgusting 'food' set in front of her she only saw herself as 120 pounds something she could not go back to. She couldn't do it anymore, Taylor let go and it came.

He got up to go order another but he was crippled. He couldn't move.
Get away, came a voice dripped with poison.
Link looked up at Taylor. He couldn't take it anymore.
His pride set aside, Link closed his eyes and disappeared. He knew bystanders would be shocked, but that didn't matter.
They already had him beat.
Link dropped to his knees in pain. Before him, in his large black robes and jet black hair, stood the one person he wanted to see the least.
"Linkon," he said, his voice echoing though there were no walls, only darkness. "You have been warned."
Link's eyes were still shut. All he saw was Taylor, and he couldn't remove her from his head.
Hope you're happy now.

Taylor shook her head no as Link told her she would be getting another big mac, Taylor barely had time to protest anymore before Link disappeared in front of her. Taylor looked around and all eyes were on her, she and Link had created too much of a scene and she needed to get out of here before she was recognized and it somehow got back to her family. Taylor stood up and ran out of the building, she didn't even glance back and she left the parking lot in a sprint heading towards her home which was only 5 blocks away. She knew that is where she needed to be right now, alone in her bedroom so she could cry in private like she had always cried before. Taylor's heart and lungs were giving out, she was used to pushing exercise when she had no food but it had been too long without food and she was about to collapse. Taylor stopped sprinting, she was already a 'safe' distance from the building, as if the building itself was out to get her. She had no idea where Link had gone but judging by the pain on his face before he disappeared she guess that 'they' had taken him. She knew this couldn't be good but what he had done to her wasn't fair and she resented him for it. Taylor began to walk quickly down the city streets and soon she was staring at her building, so tall she couldn't even see the penthouse from where she was standing. The doorman greeted her and she silently walked through the door but she saw the look he had given her as she did so. Taylor headed straight up to her home and walked through the penthouse to her bedroom where she stripped, stood in front of the mirror and began to cry.

"How many times must we tell you that our powers must be kept secret you jackass?"
The voice thundered although Link assumed it was only his head aching that intesified the noise. "I am sorry," he said simply.
The man walked up to Link and shoved at him. "Sorry," he mimicked. "Well sorry isn't going to protect us, now is it?"
"Why can't you just use the mind wiper?" Link asked, his voice cracking.
"Why don't you just use the mind wiper?" the man mocked. He gave a laugh. "Because, Linkon, it'd be much more fun watching you suffer. Look at me when I'm talking to you."
Another pain bit at Link which caused his eyes to open. He stared up at the man, his eyes a black.
"Oh look at your eyes, Linkon. Black as the night sky." Another laugh came from his as Link's eyes changed to a yellow. "Hope you like electricity," he cooed as he sent electric bolts through Link's body.
"Giovanni!" Link screeched as he fell to his side.
The man stopped. "You know very well you never use my name you fool."
Link's eyes pinched shut. "What do I have to do?"
Giovanni stepped up to Link. Without touching him, he lifted him off the ground and cupped his hand around his ear. "You will kill her, or I will kill you both."

Taylor stood there naked, staring, bawling, running her fingers over her bones which were protruding a great deal. She was so far from perfect she could not even understand it, why her? why could some girls just look perfect without any willpower? She had all the ambition in the world but she just couldn't be perfect, maybe she was just weak, weaker than those beautiful skinny girls, she could not compete with that sort of perfection. Taylor was still crying when she turned to look at the washroom, there was a razor in there that would make it so easy but she promised herself she would never do that... she was too scared. Instead she brought her hand to her left shoulder and dug her fingernails into the skin, this was her spot, it was covered in little semicircle marks from her nails digging in. Look what she had done, she had embarrassed herself in public and worse than that she shared her darkest secret and it caused her to lose someone she was beginning to love. Where was he even? He had just disappeared as quickly as he had appeared in her life. Truth was... as much as she may have hated him at the moment, she still missed him.

Giovanni released his grasp on Link, letting him fall to the floor.
Link was shaking from Giovanni's power. He hated being a lesser all-around.
"You can't do that," Link muttered with a shaky breath.
Giovanni stifled a laugh. "You know very well I can do whatever I want."
"It's not fair," Link barked.
"No shit. Life's not fair. Get over it, lesser."
Link wanted to tell Giovanni he shouldn't call him that but it wouldn't have mattered. Giovanni smirked. "You'll kill her by placing a sword through her heart."
Link was up in seconds. "Never!" He was thrown to the ground by Giovanni's dark purple glow. "How am I...to get a...sword?" Link was in too much pain to speak correctly.
Giovanni smiled and in seconds a platinum sword levitated over his palms. "Use this. It will be inivisible to the human eye. You can carry it in this."
Link suddenly had a sword holder around his body. It was pure gold with diamond studs and wrapped around his chest. Link placed the sword in the back of his carrier. "You are a cruel man," Link muttered under his breath.
"No, my dear Linkon, I am a poweful man."

Link was teleported to the front of Taylor's penthouse. He knew she was in there thanks to Giovanni's powers. He just didn't know how she'd react.
He kept looking at his back, staring at the glimmering sword carrier at his back. Giovanni's power was so strong he could make it invisible without even trying.
That much power shouldn't have been allowed.
Link braced himself before teleporting himself outside of Taylor's room. He knocked on the door. "Taylor?"

Taylor heard a knock at the door just as the pain in her shoulder reached a peak, she had drawn blood already and could feel it dripping down her back. Taylor panicked and grabbed a blanket off her bed and loosely wrapped it around her body, Taylor couldn't decipher whose voice it was at her door but somehow she had a feeling it was him. She walked to the door and opened it slowly to see him standing there in front of her, alive, well... maybe he could have looked better but she could imagine what hell he had been through even if he wasn't ready to tell her where he had gone. She resented him for his controlling attitude towards her, she had not seen that side of him until then and it scared her. As much as Taylor knew in her mind that he was trying to help he needed to understand that she could not be better until she wanted to be. So she stood there in front of him, her eyes red and puffy from crying so hard and blood dripping down her back from little semicircle cuts.

Link's eyes widened as he saw Taylor open the door. She looked do pathetic standing there.
Have I done this?
Link fingered the gold strap along his chest, a strap he knew Taylor could not see. "I'm sorry," he muttered quietly, not able to make eye contact with Taylor. "I'm anorexic too. Probably not for the same reasons you are, but still, I only eat whenever I feel faint and that's not nearly enough. I'll stop being a hypocrite and if you want I'll step out of your life right now."
Link couldn't even look at Taylor. His eyes were fixed on the ground. He didn't want to be here right now.
Not having to do what he had to.
Link waved his hand and a picture appeared. It was small, yet it still had a silver frame. The picture was one of Taylor. She was severely underweight. "If you want this I will make it happen now."
He stared at the picture before handing it to her.
In her eyes, she may never be pretty. But Link could still try before he was forced to kill her.

Taylor was shocked at the fact that he was anorexic too, in some ways she understood more why he was so bent on helping her, if he couldn't help himself at least he could help her. Still in some ways Taylor did not get how he didn't understand it if he had the same issue. Taylor stared at the picture... being that small, it was what she wanted but if she was that small then she would have to get better and she didn't want to do that. Taylor shook her head at the picture, "no, I don't want that" she said softly. She stared at him sadly for a moment "why are you here Link" she asked softly, she wanted to go into her room and not stand at the door anymore but she didn't want to turn and let him see her bloody back.

In a second the picture disappeared, replaced by a cloud of link smoke. "Why am I here?" Link repeated. He hand started to shake. "Because I want to be with you Taylor."
What the fuck? Giovanni's voice echoed in Link's mind.
Don't worry, Link assured through telepathy, it's an act.

Link stared behind Taylor and gulped. "Can I come in?" he asked awkwardly. He didn't want to come in.
Finding a girl dead was bad enough but in her own room?
Link closed his eyes as he tried to figure out what to do. He hated Giovanni for forcing this on him, but Link knew he was defenseless.
Giovanni was an all-around greater.
Link was an all-around lesser. There was only one person in the world that had more power than Link.
And it just had to be Gio.

Taylor stared at him silently for a moment before answering "uhh, okay" she said softly before turning around, allowing him to see her back. She walked into her room still holding the blanket around her loosely and she went and sat on her bed. She glanced over to the mirror and then the bathroom before curling her legs under her and looking at him innocently. Link's word which she had ignored were still booming in her head, "I want to be with you", how could she believe that when all he had done the entire time she had known him is to make her cover up and kiss her back with a lack of emotion. She didn't fully believe him but she did believe he cared about her a great deal. Link seemed quite awkward at the moment although this was not something new for her, he just seemed off.

He took a seat beside Taylor and sat there awkwardly. "I'm sorry about everything," he said, an apology for what had happened and what had yet to come. He wrapped his arms around her and couldn't stop himself before pecking her on the lips. He stared into her crystalised eyes. "Can you ever forgive me?"
Link knew one mistake could severely ruin him right here. He had to play it cool, in case Taylor suspected anything.
"I'm not the best guy in the world," Link said as he turned. He drew Taylor's name in the air and suddenly a rainbow appeared before them. "But maybe I can be your best guy."

Taylor looked at Link as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her with a great lack of emotion, she slipped out of his arms and got up off the bed. She walked across the room and glanced at the mirror before reaching the window and staring out it silently. After a moment she turned around and looked at him, all his words had left her mind, "go away Link" she said with a shaky voice. She wanted to be emotionless but she is not as strong as Link is, quite honestly Taylor could barely believe she was saying this to him. Taylor really cared for Link, but he did not feel the same way about her and she knew it, she was not about to be played like she had in the past.

Link's entire face fell when Taylor spoke, her words cutting him like a saw. He didn't know what he had done wrong this time.
"You don't know what I'm giving up to be here right now," Link barked as he rose. "Do you know why I get migranes and abdominal cramps? Because the one person in this enitre world that has more power then me likes to make a fool of me. And you know what?" Link pulled out his platinum sword, the blade shining in the sun. Taylor probably couldn't see it, not that mattered.
"I'm holding a one and a half foot sword made entirely from platinum. And my boss wants me to stick it through your heart."
Link's eyes rolled back into his head as his skin turned pure black. The sword, instead of dropping out of his hands, levitated in the air, no longer veiled from Taylor's view.
"You're next, Taylor."

Taylor just stood and shook her head at Link, he was not risking shit all by being here with her, he wouldn't risk everything for her, Taylor knew he cared but not in that way. When Link told her of the sword he was holding her eyes widened, somehow she did not doubt him in any way "Link... no" she whispered. Then as if by magic... it really was Link was gone... or at least he looked it, his skin had turned black, a dark hellish black. Taylor stood silently in shock as she stared at him, she went to kneel beside him when the sword he had described appeared before her with an terrifying voice threatening her. She wanted to scream but nothing came out, she wanted to run but her legs seemed nailed to the ground... she had never feared death, she had even contemplated it on several occasions but now the prospect of death sent shivers down her spine and formed a cold, fine sweat all over her body.

Link could see the entire scene as if he weren't even there on the floor. Taylor was terrified, and she had every right to be.
He was on the floor, but there was nothing normal about his appearance. The black and purple power was only a power Giovanni could make.
It was the power of pure evil.
His hair was starting to turn the black his skin now was and Link struggled to move. If this power were to take over his body, he'd die.
"Run," Link moaned, although he wasn't talking to Taylor. If she actually were to run it'd only be easier for Giovanni to catch her. "Run, walk, just say still.." Link was having trouble speaking since the evil force was nearly controlling him. "Temporary force field...before we are killed..."
Even his rhyming was off, but the spell still worked. A blue light made a forcefield around them.
Link knew they were safe, but not for long.

The black power was in the bubble with them, and Link was slowly drifting out of consciousness. "Taylor," he moaned. "He is defenseless against..." Link had to stop himself. His hair was now a pitch black.
All he had were his eyes before he was consumed.

The black seemed to be spreading further across Link's body but Taylor's eyes were not on him but instead on the blade which was levitating in front of her, the one which is meant to kill her. Taylor heard Link muttering but she couldn't make out his words and her heart was pounding so hard and loud that she could barely hear them even if he was speaking clearly. All of the sudden there was a blue light which had formed all around them, Link was moaning her name and she dropped to her knees to hear him, he said something about this evil thing being defenseless about something but he couldn't manage to get it all out. Taylor saw the very tips of his hair turn black and all that was left of him were those amazing eyes... what had she done?. The blue light was fading around them and Taylor's breathing began to quicken along with her heart beat. She looked around to the the blade which was now behind her but still pointed at her, Taylor just stared it helplessly.

Link opened his eyes faintly, showing his already black irises. "Sunlight," Link muttered. "He can't work in the sun. Get him outside before he kills us both."
Link's fingers curled into a fist which he wanted to throw at Giovanni. He closed his eyes and muttered a mantra.
Suddenly, Link's body fell and he was completely lifeless. He didn't move at all; his chest had no rise, no fall.
"Taylor!" his voice rang through her ears. "I'm a spirit. As long as I'm in this state he can't kill me. I feel no pain. I float on air."
There was a pause, then, "I need you to get Giovanni outside. He cannot work in the day time, which is prefect for us right now. As long as you can get him out there I could probably take it from there. With any luck that power will disappear and my body will be free again."
There was a movement in front of Taylor's face. "Can you see me? Hold on."
Suddenly a pale blue dot appeared. It had no features, it was only a blue speck of light. "Here I am. I can't stay this way for long. Work fast."
Link's forcefield shattered like glass, and Link's light disappeared behind Taylor. "Good luck."

Taylor nodded and wished she lived in one of those buildings with a fire escape but her parents had always found them unsightly and so here she was in the penthouse with only 2 ways down, flight after flight of stairs or an obscenely slow elevator. Taylor watching for a moment as Link's body became lifeless, but then his voice, his strong voice which she loved was in her head. Taylor paused for a moment but then took off running through her home, she knew the building well and knew he best bet was the back staircase which would likely be empty. Taylor ran, ripped open the door to her home and was out in the hall in seconds, she worked her way towards the stairwell and pushed her way through that door as well. Taylor ran down the first flight of stairs with ease but as she made her way down her breathing sped up and she began to trip. He was following her alright but she was unsure of how to lure him out into the sunlight with her, she knew he wouldn't be stupid about it. She would have to make herself incredibly vulnerable, make him believe he could have her easily and then get back out of the sun. Finally Taylor had reached the final flight of stairs and was nearly ready to collapse. She pushed her way through the final door which was in her way and out of the shade of the building, down the street so she was fully in the sun. Taylor fell to her knees feigning exhaustion which she was unable to overcome and took several exaggerated breaths. Taylor was sick which meant she exercised obsessively, Taylor was tired but she was not that tired.

Link's light moved about, following Taylor and circling her when she would stop. He didn't know if this would ever work. Giovanni was a smart man; he wouldn't walk outside knowing it was the only weakness he had.
Link didn't know what would happen if he did step outside. He'd never seen Giovanni fall weak before, but he hoped it'd be quick. Link would need to get back to his body to preform a binding spell, which would act as a muzzle for Giovanni.
As long as that muzzle was in place, Giovanni had no chance.

Giovanni wanted to reach out for Taylor but he knew better. Instead he picked up Link's body by his shirt's collar and laughed. "Look like Linkon thinks he's a faerie," Giovanni teased, referring to the light he knew Link had assumed.
When he noticed Taylor had fallen, Giovanni thought for a moment. He shoved Link to the ground and walked towards the door.
It would only be for a few seconds...
He ran out the building and ran to Taylor, and that's when Link raced to his body. When he was finally in, Link tried to pick himseld up and rose his hands to Giovanni.
He needed time.
"Taylor!" he called weakly. "Distract him!"

Taylor looked up, at this point she had completely regained her energy but she rose to her feet slowly, she knew if she began to run right away Giovanni would simply retreat to the shade. Only once he was close enough to touch Taylor did she take off running down the street. This run would be a lot more difficult than the one down the stairs, Taylor was agile though and was capable of dodging the people who crowded the streets up of the Upper East Side. Taylor paid no attention to the evident stares she was getting from those who knew her name and were evidently sending pictures into the papers she just focused on running. Taylor began to slow as she glanced behind her, she wanted to ensure this guy thought he had a chance of catching her quickly.

Giovanni stopped and did not run after Taylor. Instead he started a prayer that would cripple her and stop her from getting any further away.
Link was murmuring his own spell but he couldn't seem to find any rhymes. "Screw this," he muttered as he snapped his eyes shut.
"Long live the kind of greatness good. Kill the king where that man stood. Murder him with a bolt from the sky, shoot it straight into his eye."
Link stared at Giovanni and pointed to where he stood, as if showing his magic where to go.
It started pouring heavily, but the sun was still shining brightly. Giovanni turned around and saw Link and was about to kill him went lightning shot across the sky.
The thunder roared only seconds afterwards, pronouncing an evil ruler's death.
Link fell to the ground, his body still a dark black. He'd recover.
He just wished he could tell Taylor.

Taylor fell to her knees as if by magic (of course it was magic) and stared behind Giovanni as Link seemed to be attempting to conjure up some sort of spell. Taylor wished Link would hurry as Giovanni was approaching her fast and she was completely unable to move. Then Taylor felt drops falling fast on her, it was raining quite hard but the sky was still so bright with the sun, Taylor smiled as she knew this was Link's work. Taylor saw a bolt of lightning strike Giovanni where he stood and then she felt the pressure that had previously consumed her body release. A roar of thunder overhead seemed to signify that it was all over, Taylor rose to her feet and ran towards Link, his body was black and she simply keeled over him and began to cry. Taylor ran her fingers through his blackened hair and leaned over to kiss his forehead but in the last second she moved to kiss his lips. Somehow Taylor felt like she was in some messed up fairytale where she needed to kiss him to wake him, at least she hoped it would do something. After Taylor kissed him she shook her head at herself, how dumb could she be, this was real life and dead was dead.

Link struggled to move but he couldn't. He just stayed, motionless, in Taylor's arms.
If only she would open his eyes, she could see his stone grey irises. Link's hair slowly turned to the shade of East Coast sand and even though it took some time he skin turned white, two shades too pale, but white nonetheless.
After agonizingly slow minutes, Link's eyes finally opened. He stared at Taylor and saw that she was crying. He pressed his finger to her cheek and wiped away the tear that was rolling to the ground. "Don't cry," he murmured quietly. "We won."

Link sat up and looked at Giovanni. He had been running away from that fool for years, and now he was dead.
He walked up to Giovanni's corpse and just stared at it. He was beginning to decompose, but not at all like a human's body would. His skin was turning to sand, his hair poisonous grass, his eyes purple puddles of acid.
Link smiled to himself and held out his hands. He picked up a handful of Giovanni's black sand and let it fall through his fingers. He picked up another handful and blew it away. The grains flew on the wind, and with a bit of magic, kept going until they were out of Link's sight, out of New York, away from Earth.
The rest of Giovanni's body disappeared and Link couldn't contain his smile.

Taylor's eyes were squeezed shut as she attempted to control her emotions but she was failing more than usual. Her sobs were becoming louder instead of quieter but then she felt a finger on her cheek wiping away her tear. Taylor opened her eyes and stared down into Link's now open eyes which had returned to their perfect grey and she broke into a smile as he whispered to her that they had won, those words rang through her head and she repeated them softly to him "we won".

Taylor trailed after Link as he walked over to Giovanni's dead body, it seemed as if everyone in the city was just walking around it ignoring it... or maybe they were to caught up in their own lives to see it. Soon it didn't matter as it had turned into something unexpected but not noticeable to those around them Taylor looked up at Link's face which had broke out into a smile. Taylor took his face gently in her hands and smiled back at him "kiss me" she whispered as she stared up into his eyes which just poured out his elation at the moment.

Link nodded at Taylor and smacked his lips against hers. He kissed her hungrily, as if he could never have enough of her. When he pushed away he could still taste her, sweet on his lips.
"I suppose this calls for an explanation, huh?" he said quietly. "Well here goes nothing."

Link gazed right into Taylor's eyes. "There are a handful of let's say, different people in the world. These people are usually reffered to as gifteds. There are many different kinds of gifteds. Some of us are like Avatar: The Last Air Bender. We can control one element, usually fire, water, earth, or air. Those are the single-gifteds. Others have an array of powers, but cannot use any very well. These are the lesser gifteds. Some of us, like me, can use just about anything try want flawlessly. We're unstoppable."
Link looked to the spot Giovanni was in before he disappeared. "I am classified as a greater gifted, and I've never met anyone else like me. I don't know why I was born with so much power. Well anyway, then there's Giovanni. Truthfully, no one knows what the hell he is."
His eyes held Taylor's gaze once again. "We think he is-er, was-a greater gifted because he was the only one more powerful than me. But there was something different about Giovanni. He could only use his powers for evil."
Link smiled now as he realised, with Giovanni gone, he was the strongest thing on earth.

Taylor smiled at Link when he pulled away "you kissed me" she whispered, although they had kissed he had never really kissed her back. She loved the way he tasted and the way he kissed, rough yet sweetly but Taylor let it fade from her mind from a moment as she prepared for Link's explanation.

Taylor listened carefully as Link explained of the levels of gifteds and how he was a greater gifted and how he had never met anyone more powerful then him. She listened to his explanation of the being which had tried to kill her and nearly had killed Link and she just nodded as he spoke. At points his eyes lit up while he spoke, especially when he spoke of what he could do but when the subject turned to Giovanni his grey eyes darkened and she could tell it was something that he had carried with him for a long wile, telling no one. The light quickly returned to Link's eyes as he finished speaking of Giovanni and Taylor just wanted to kiss him again but she knew she couldn't just do that, he had just shared with her a huge part of his life. "You are safe now right, no more people are going to come and try to kill us right" she asked with a little bit of a smirk.

Link laughed a little as Taylor asked him if anyone else would come after them. Before he could stop himself he laid his hands flat against Taylor's chest and pushed her downwards so that he wad on top. He kissed her ever so gently, until it turned into a vigorous kiss that left him wanting more.
When Link lifted himself and realised the position he was in. He looked t Taylor's eyes and knew that she wouldn't mind it very much. "Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?" Link asked as he rested his chin in the bend of her shoulder.

Taylor could not believe herself, she was lying on the sidewalk of the Upper East Side and she was enjoying it, simply because she was kissing the most amazing guy she had ever met. Taylor had kissed many guys but none of them seemed to kiss her the way Link did, none of them would have her lying on the sidewalk with them. When Link stopped kissing her, Taylor felt her lips begging for more but she just smiled at him. "No one" she whispered as she began to run her fingers through his hair, "Has anyone every told you that you should lay down your coat before laying a woman down on the street" she said jokingly while looking into his eyes. Taylor loved the feeling of Link's weight on her and she just wanted to lay like this, snuggling with him forever.

"Surprisingly," Link answered, "no."
He looked around and, upon noticing where they were, grabbed Taylor's shirt and closed his eyes. When he opened they were on his bed, Link smiling down at Taylor. His eyes turned a radiant white but they stayed that way. Link didn't noticed and just kissed Taylor again. "Is this better?" he asked as he wrapped his finger with Taylor's hair.
Link knew that he could stay this way for the rest of eternity.
He had defeated Giovanni and he was actually in love.
It doesn't get better than this.

Taylor giggled a little and then Link grabbed her shirt and she knew what was coming, in a moment they were back in his bed in the same position. Taylor stared into Link's eyes and they changed from a strong grey to a pearly white, but then Link kissed her and so she simply kissed him back because it felt so right. "Much better" she whispered before kissing him again, she just wanted to keep kissing him and stay in this bed all day, all night, forever. Taylor slid her hands down from Link's hair to his back, she gently ran her fingers up and down his back slowly as the kissed.

Link opened his eyes as he pushed away. He felt Taylor's hands pushing into his back and he rolled into a sitting position beside her. "Where is this going?" he asked in a way that said he already knew. He didn't know what to do past this point.
He had never made it this far in a relationship.
He had never made it far in a relationship.
Link turned to a mirror to check himself out. His eyes were white, which he normally would have been mad about but right now he didn't care. It was close enough to grey anyway.
His hair, for once, looked perfectly groomed although he had no recollection of combing it. He turned back to Taylor. With a smile he made a single rose appear and placed it in her hair. The bright red petals contrasted the dark shine of Taylor's hair so that she looked beautiful, although Taylor didn't need a rose for that.

"I am not sure, depends where you want this to go Link" she said slightly caught off guard by his question, she had assumed it was going exactly where both of them wanted it to be. Taylor watched as Link stared at himself in the mirror and the she smirked "you look perfect" she said softly before he turned back to her. Then in front of her a beautiful red rose appeared, it was as flawless as if it had just been picked from the most magnificent garden in the world. Link placed it gently in her hair and she smiled at him sweetly before bringing back his previous question "you have me worried, where do you want this to go" she asked softly.

Link only smiled at Taylor's question. He watched her eyes cloud with the smallest hint of worry. Link held Taylor's jaw in his hand and gently kissed her again. "It's going to a marvelous stage," Link whispered quietly. He closed his eyes and thought of the past two days thoroughly.
Taylor had brought to him in two days a feeling he could not arouse with anyone else in eighteen years. He wanted this relationshipt to go far, but at this point he wasn't sure what far was, or how far too far could be.
If there ever was a too far.
"Where do you want this to go?" Link asked Taylor gently. "I'll take it there, if not further."

Taylor loved the way Link smiled at her question and the worry in her tone, in fact she seemed to love everything about him. The was he told her it was going to be marvelous and kissed her ever so gently before asking her what she wanted. "I want you to be mine" she whispered softly before leaning in to kiss him once again, she wanted more than him to just be hers, she wanted him to love her with all his heart and kiss her with all that love, she wanted him to be a boyfriend who would understand where she came from and what she wanted to be, how she felt about society and she wanted him to love her for it. She kissed him again before pulling away and smiling.

"I'm yours," Link assured as he closed his eyes. He quietly hummed the tune to Jason Mraz's song. Eventually, he added his words.
"It cannot wait, I'm yours."
His voice was soft but it still sounded strong. He smiled down at Taylor. "Name anything you want, dear, and it's yours. Anything."
He pressed his forhead to Taylor's and hummed his song. He really did mean what the song was saying; he'd be Taylor's for as long as she wanted. He'd be beside her forever, if it was what she wished.

Taylor smiled at link as he said those perfect words and then began to hum, she just stared at him in love as he began to add words. He sung so sweetly and she loved it, when he asked her to name what she wanted nothing came to mind, honestly she wanted for nothing but this moment to go on. In some ways Taylor hated herself for being so lovey dovey with this boy but she couldn't help how she felt. Taylor felt Link press his forehead into hers and she was tempted to kiss him but she liked hearing him hum so she just stared into his perfect eyes and bit her lower lip. Taylor slipped her arms gently around his neck and played with the hair at the back of it as he hummed to her.

Link noticed Taylor didn't answer, but he didn't mind. He didn't need to peek into her mind to know that she wanted the exact same thing he did: for this moment to last forever.
Link became quiet and his fingers grew stiff. They relaxed as they wrapped around a picture.
The picture was hand-drawn, Link's own work. It was an image of he and Taylor, drawn just now, without the need for pencil or paper. He smiled as he showed Taylor the drawing that seemed to catch her eyes perfectly. "Pictures last longer than memories," Link muttered as he lay the picture beside them. "And besides. Now when you're away I can still look at your beautiful face."

Taylor stared at the picture of Link and herself that he had created, it seemed to capture the moment through the pencil strokes, all of the emotion in the room and the love between them was radiating out of the picture. She liked the way Link put it when he said pictures last longer than memories but she didn't intend on this moment ending so it would never be a distant memory. Taylor smiled softly when Link said he could still look at her when she was away "who said I am ever leaving this?" she asked softly before kissing his lips gently. As she kissed him there was still the hint of a smile on her lips and as she tasted him the smile grew a little bigger.

"True," Link said. "But I have a reason. You have school. And you live with your parents." At this realisation, Link rose and hopped off the bed. He glanced at a clock. "It's dinnertime. Maybe we should get you home."
Link knew Taylor didn't like being home, and he didn't want to leave her either, but he knew he couldn't keep her forever. He was eighteen; it could still be kidnapping of a minor.
Although was it kidnapping when she wanted to go?
Link shook his head. "Maybe we can go somewhere to eat," he suggested. He walked over to a drawer and looked for some money. Upon finding none he sighed in aggravation and turned his attention back to Taylor.

Taylor frowned as Link spoke of her having school and having to go to her parents, she pulled away from him and lay on her back with her head on his pillow. When Link mentioned her having to go home for dinner she was about to break out in loud protest about how she never had family dinners and they wouldn't miss her when Link suggested they go out just them two. Taylor sat up and looked at Link where he stood at the dresser "please lets go, I really don't want to go home" she said softly before Link sighed in aggravation of evidently not finding what he was looking for. Taylor clued in after a moment "you don't need money baby I am not eating" she said softly waiting for Link to freak out at her.

Link turned his back towards Taylor after her statement. The fact that she had called him baby did not lessen her other words. "Of course you aren't," Link sighed.
Without another word he walked out of his room and into his kitchen. It was clear he didn't want Taylor to follow him.
For a long while, Link just stared at his oven. His fingers traced the grills on the stove, wiping away some dust as he did so.
After about ten minutes Link walked into his bedroom and laid down the tray he was holding. On the tray was some fried chicken, coated in oil.
"You want to know why I was anorexic?" Link as, not looking up from the chicken. Link brought his wrist up, showing off the two scars that formed an L, neither of which he had made. "Because it was an attempt at suicide. I knew I couldn't kill myself the normal way. I could never bleed out. My blood is magical and it just doesn't work that way. With starvation, I figured I would just die from lack of food. It wasn't very well thought-out, but I have come to nearly fainting a few times over the years. It was the only way I could think of to leave this world, without letting Giovanni have his satisfaction. He's been after me for years. He knew I was the only one that would have the audacity to face him."
Link closed his eyes, not wanting to look at the poultry before him. "Then I met you," he murmured. "And now the last thing I want to do is leave this world, knowing you'd be left behind."
Link finally looked at Taylor's eyes, his a near midnight black. "I'm willing to eat this," Link said as he lifted a chicken leg. "But you have to do it with me."

Taylor sat dead silent as Link walked out of the room seemingly frustrated with her, she should not have expected any different considering how he reacted before but it still hurt her. After a few minutes Link had returned and along with him he had brought a strong smell of deep fried batter and a plate of chicken which was coated in it. Taylor stared at the platter still silent but she swallowed deeply and listened as Link spoke. When he stopped speaking Taylor looked into his eyes, hers filled with tears and while not breathing took a piece of chicken and began to pick off the coating. She would not binge but she could simply eat some chicken, it would not kill her and she loved him enough to do it, plus she had not eaten for a few days now so it was okay. Once all the skin and coating was meticulously picked off of the chicken Taylor ripped off a piece of the chicken delicately. Taylor did not breathe as she brought it to her mouth and she stared at him as it passed through her lips.

Link watched Taylor carefully as she picked off the chicken's skin. He didn't think she would eat it but was proved wrong when she delicately placed it in her mouth. Thank you, he thought as he grabbed his own piece of chicken.
Link turned it over in his hands, watching it as if it would move. "One small bite," Link mused to himself. "Was that so hard?"
He brought his own chicken up in a toast to Taylor. "Together, we can do this. Together, we can do anything we want."
With a smile, Link bit off a piece of his chicken and swallowed hard, as if it would crawl up his throat. "And that is a promise."
