------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has been two years since the traumatic destruction of Tokyo by Sagi Tsukiko's imagined warrior Shounen Bat, Lil Slugger. Buildings half demolished, people killed, minds lost. Now that the city is rebuilt and functional again people have put the Shounen Bat case and the Maromi hype behind them and have continued their old lives as if nothing had ever happened. But not all is well. With the death of the Sage, there is only one Seer left...the man formerly known as Maniwa Mitsuhiro, Radar Man. Being treated for a psychotic breakdown and various injuries in the same hospital all of Shounen Bat's victims were committed to, this new Sage picks up where the old one left off, scribbling complex equations that only lead to visions. And this vision is more troubling than the first.
A new threat arrives in Tokyo, targeting several specific people. This time around the threat is focusing on people with crippling fear instead of acute paranoia. Those who succumb to their fears must face Harimoya, the Needle Mist. It isn't clear from victim reports exactly what Harimoya looks like. It seems when one is frozen with mortal terror a strange mist appears, engulfing them. The world around them vanishes, leaving nothing but a white haze. Some reports state a black shadow approaches them, others a young girl, between the ages of fifteen and nineteen, wielding a syringe. Then nothing. All the victims were found lying face down with their torsos and faces covered in tiny pinpricks, like those received from being stabbed with thousands of needles. All the victims were found not breathing but alive. After an exact three-day coma all the victims woke up in excellent physical and mental health, telling their experience to police and returning home the next day. This bizarre phenomenon has been occurring for four weeks, one victim per week, almost like clockwork. The only ones who seem to know what is going on are Maniwa Mitsuhiro and Sagi Tsukiko but the former speaks only in nonsense and the latter has refused to take any part in the investigation, leaving this event to the new team of detectives and victims.
