Overall Plot

Ours is a more privileged Earth than we could ever imagine. What so few of us realize is that beyond the world we know, the human imagination has created an innumerable amount of parallel universes from ours separated by time and space, one for every story or inspiration produced by the thoughts of man throughout history. However, despite the relative ignorance of humans to their own achievements, the massive energies exerted to accomplish this feat have not gone entirely unfelt by the people of Earth.

Since the beginning of time, these energies have occasionally swept through parts of Earth, altering the people it comes into contact with. These gifted peoples, who hail from all corners of the world, have been called many things over the years - heroes, witches, aliens - but the wiser among them call themselves Celestians. These Celestians are well aware of the many realms beyond Earth, because in addition to a variety of other special abilities, the Celestians possess one universal power that sets them apart from the humans: the ability to pass unharmed through the void between realms and enter any realm they wish. But fortunately, despite their extraordinary talents they possess similar moral fiber to humans, both good and evil. For this reason, good and evil for both races have served to balance each other, and all worlds have maintained a sort of relative peace throughout history.

But of course, such power could not be kept under wraps for long. Soon some Celestians began to grow resentful of their "common" status among the humans. They knew that the realms were all made by the people of Earth, and they came to believe that this meant that all the realms, and indeed all of Earth, rightfully belonged to the Celestians. Coming together under the leadership of the mysterious Sygma, these Celestians comprise the Nation of Aridor, and are bent on conquering the realms they feel they deserve to rule, determined to crush any and all opposition to this goal. Though their obvious goals are clear, the true roots of Aridor's ambitions are not, and it is rumored that deep within Aridor lies an even darker power waiting to rise to the surface.

However, Celestians are morally no different than humans, and some among them came to oppose the radical goals of Aridor. These Celestians came together to form an organization known as the United Virtue, led by seven individuals known as the Domini, the quintessential opposites of the Sygma. Unlike the Aridorrans, these Celestians believe that all realms were meant to coexist freely, and they work to maintain the natural harmony that the realms have enjoyed since the beginning. While the humans remain still unaware, the United Virtue and the Nation of Aridor have clashed against each other for several years, with neither side quite able to gain the upper hand, leaving all of the realms hopelessly entangled in the fight for their freedom.

More recently, the United Virtue has received unexpected aid in the form of an enigmatic order of Celestians known as the Sylvan Heralds. During many centuries of hiding and observation, the Heralds have watched the brewing war very closely, and have now come forward with a new prophecy that could very well tip the scales in the United Virtue's favor. Years prior to now, five of the order's foremost members succeeded in harnessing the massive energies of the five Domains - the five aspects that comprise life in all realms - and bringing them to Earth in the form of five chakras. These chakras were then released on Earth, and the Heralds' prophecy revealed that they found their way to five individual Celestians, dubbed the Chakra Knights, who were chosen by the Domains themselves to rise against all threats to peace and restore the sacred balance in all worlds. Naturally, Aridor did not take kindly to this news, and have sent raids to Earth in search of the Chakra Knights in a bid to eliminate the threat they posed to the Sygma's plans, leaving all kinds of chaos and destruction in their wake.

Can the United Virtue prevail in this conflict? Will Aridor claim the power it feels that it so richly deserves? Will the prophecy of the Sylvan Heralds come to pass, and summon the five Chakra Knights to bring a final end to this war? Or do the Aridorrans still have a secret weapon of their own? In the fight for the freedom of the universe, where do you stand?

SHORT SUMMARY: This RP is slightly similar to Kingdom Hearts in that there is one realm for every story ever written on Earth (Such as Harry Potter, Mega Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.) and among the humans on Earth are a race of people called Celestians who can teleport to the other realms, and who have various special powers within the realms. Some Celestians believe that they deserve to rule over all the realms; these comprise the Nation of Aridor. Aridor starts trying to take over the realms by force, but some other Celestians oppose this; these came together to form the United Virtue. Both groups clash for several years until a previously-neutral group called the Sylvan Heralds harness the power of the five domain chakras in a bid to stop Aridor's thirst for power, and they release the Chakras on Earth. The chakras bond to five Celestians prior to birth, and these five become the Chakra Knights, whom the Sylvan Heralds and United Virtue both believe have the potential to restore the balance in the realms. Aridor doesn't like this, so they send raiding parties to Earth in search of the Knights, and the war goes on.

Rules

Godmoding or Powerplaying

This should go without saying but, godmoding or powerplaying will not be allowed. For those out there who don't know what this means, godmoding is effectively making a character invincible to all damage or having them dodge all attacks for no adequately explained reason. Likewise, powerplaying (or autohitting) is automatically hitting another character with your character(s)' attacks without giving them a reasonable chance to dodge it. These are very unfair and annoying, for obvious reasons, and should be avoided.

Cybering and Other Such Content

Yet another concept that I shouldn't even need to mention. The Internet has a wide variety of places where total strangers are allowed to discuss someone's private parts, but this thread is NOT one of them. RPA's rules specifically forbid it, I don't want it, and I will not hesitate to report you for it.

Literacy

Please be at least semi-literate. Don't get me wrong; I don't expect perfect grammar, spelling, and punctuation at all times, but if I can't understand anything you're saying, we have a problem. Likewise, I do ask you to put some effort into your posts instead of just posting one or two words out of laziness. I'm not asking for a full blown novel with every post, but a few decent paragraphs should be fine.

Canon Character Rules

Canon characters may be used as NPC's unless someone has specifically asked to play a character. They must, however, be played in character. For example, you would never see Jack Sparrow in a proper business suit and tie or disgusted by the sight of rum, nor would you ever see Batman suddenly crying like a baby and running away from the Joker because he's too scared to fight. I will inevitably do some research prior to entering a realm in order to avoid this.

Original Character Rules

Here are some general rules for other characters.

First of all, Celestians may have no more than two natural powers, unless they fall under a specific exception, such as the Sygma, Domini, or the Chakra Knights or Sages. This may sound a tad stringent, but Celestians may also possess a special weapon that may be powerful in nature, which would make them too powerful overall. Therefore, I will accept only two natural powers and one superpowered weapon for each conventional character.

Secondly, bear in mind that non-human races cannot use their powers on Earth! Yes, this includes Celestians and all other races, and yes, this also includes our four special categories (Sygma, Domini, Chakra Knights, Chakra Sages). On that note, technology not of Earthly origin can only work on Earth if it operates on something that can be readily found on Earth. For example, Jack Sparrow's pistol or Batman's batarangs will both work on Earth without a problem, but Harry Potter's wand or Luke Skywalker's lightsaber will not.

Finally, bear in mind that they are called Original characters for a reason. Mary Sues and other such characters can get very annoying regardless of the type of RP you do. Cliche, overpowered, or excessively unoriginal characters will need to be fixed before they can be accepted. If in doubt, don't be afraid to PM me, and I will be happy to help you.

Activity

Be as active as you can in this RP, that's all I ask. I understand that we all have our own lives and responsibilities that far outrank this RP, but please notify me or Yamimoon if you will be absent for too long.

This is a very broad universe, so it is very important to state where you are in any given post. To this end, in every post please clearly state the realm and/or the location of each character in your post at the time of the post. Similarly, if you move your character to a different location at any time, please write out:

Glossary of Terms

Think of this as a specialized dictionary for this RP; all important, RP-specific terms will be posted here in alphabetical order, and this page will be updated regularly. Please be sure to read this glossary before you start RPing, because otherwise you may not understand what the other characters are talking about.

Aridor, Nation Of: A group of Celestians who believe that because all realms were created by the people of Earth, it is therefore the birthright of all Celestians to rule over every realm in existence. To this end, their vast armies have worked for many years toward conquering the other realms, although most Aridorrans will provide less direct support to the movement as citizens of the realm of the same name. Nonetheless, it is not uncommon for an Aridorran civilian to own slaves captured from other realms.

Apex: A host whose prime force, for one reason or another, has become physically unstable to the point where the prime force is in danger of splitting apart to form another prime force. Though rare, such an event is extremely painful and possibly even fatal to the Apex unless careful precautions are made to separate the two prime forces harmlessly. See Schism.

BEL Scanner: A recent invention on part of Nightshade Alexa Petrova, designed to compute a person's blood energy level by drawing a steady blood sample through a retractable needle. The scanner is still in the prototype stages.

Blood Energy Level (BEL): A measure of the natural energy given off by a living organism, with certain races having higher BEL's than others. In practice, BEL is commonly used by Aridor to identify hosts, who will tend to have higher BEL's than most of their kind.

Celestian: A race of humans who are able to teleport between realms. They are also gifted with unique powers, but each Celestian tends to have no more than two. Their true origins are not known as of yet. Like all superpowered beings, they cannot use their powers on Earth.

Chakra Knights: Five individuals each bestowed with the essence of one of the five Domains prior to birth. They are believed to be vital to the downfall of Aridor, and as such are highly sought after both by Aridor and by the United Virtue. As of now the knights are still relatively inexperienced with their powers.

Chakra Sages: Five of the most powerful members of the Sylvan Heralds. They are best known as the five who successfully harnessed the essences of the five Domains, before releasing them on Earth and thereby imbuing them into the Chakra Knights. They have nonetheless managed to retain a slightly smaller portion of the essences they released, and they now act as guardians and mentors to their Knight counterparts.

Domains, The: In the Sylvan Heralds' philosophy, the Domains are the very aspects of human existence, each playing a crucial part in our daily lives and personalities. There are five domains in all: Body, Mind, Spirit, Heart, and Soul.

Domini, The: The leaders of United Virtue, these seven are the direct rivals of the Sygma. Each is named for one of the Seven Holy Virtues, and it is they who first declared war against Aridor and all for which it stood.

Herald Guardians, The: A small elite team affiliated with the Sylvan Heralds. Handpicked by the Chakra Sages themselves, they have been appointed the task of searching for and protecting the Chakra Knights as they approach their destinies. The Herald Guardians currently include Uriel, Lucian Kiar, and Ace Cooper.

Host: One to whom a prime force is bonded, usually (but not always) someone influential in their native realm. They are heavily dependent on their prime force, and if it is ever stolen from them, they are reduced to a state of immobility and a very limited degree of consciousness. Most prime forces are fiercely loyal to their hosts, although over the years there have been some exceptions. If a host dies, the prime force must find a new host. It is unclear what may happen to a realm or the prime force itself if they do not, or if all hosts of a particular realm die.

Nightshade: An elite class among Aridor's armies. Nightshades are highly trained in a variety of fields, ranging from espionage and diplomacy to armed and unarmed combat. Typically they are assigned as spies in various realms, personally tasked with taking the prime force of each realm to allow for a relatively swift takeover soon after.

Prime Force: The origins of these unearthly beings are a mystery, but it is well-known that they make their homes in whatever realm they choose to settle in, typically by bonding to a host native to the realm in question. More often than not, they tend to act as internal guardians within the realm they inhabit, maintaining the natural order to ensure stability in the realm, and as such they are able to control energy and alter their form when outside of the host's body. Their bond with their respective host is crucial to their purpose; if they are separated for whatever reason, the Prime Force will become progressively weaker and more vulnerable to attack.

Psylon: A rare type of Celestian that is always produced from two Celestian parents, and is more likely if one or both parents are also Psylons. In addition to the two natural powers typical of a Celestian, Psylons also possess strong telepathic and remote viewing abilities. They are revered by most Celestians, and blood purity (the number of psylons in a Celestian's bloodline) is often prized among Celestians.

Realm: A single universe. With the sole exception of Earth, all realms will each invariably possess it's own prime force, which may sometimes be divided into shards. See also, World.

Schism: A chaotic phenomena in which a prime force spontaneously "breaks" to form another prime force in addition to the original; hosts who undergo or are prone to this phenomena are called Apexes. It is possible, albeit rare, to delay a schism temporarily if the two prime forces can coexist peacefully. However, the separation of the prime forces during a schism is excruciatingly painful to the host, and may be fatal if they are not removed and separated safely outside the host's body. Often the new prime force will require a host of its own after removal.

Sygma, The: The leaders of Aridor, and the direct rivals of the Domini. Each named for one of the Seven Deadly Sins, they are the brains behind every move on part of their subordinates, although it is no secret that they each have their own agendas as well.

Sylvan Heralds, The: The members of this pacifistic order believe strongly in the unity and equality of all realms. Previously neutral in the conflict between Aridor and the United Virtue, the Heralds have realized the threat that Aridor poses to the delicate balance of the realms, and have recently allied themselves with the United Virtue. The Chakra Sages also hail from this order.

United Virtue, The: The first united front against Aridor. The group is mostly consisted of Celestians, but it is not unheard of for humans and other races to offer their services as well.

Nation of Aridor

These Celestians differ from their own race primarily due to their philosophy. While most Celestians are content with exploring the many realms and coexisting peacefully with their inhabitants, the Aridorrans are much more ruthless. They believe that all of the other realms were created by the people of Earth, and therefore the Celestians deserve to rule over all other races. Though their loyalties lie with the Sygma, they will tolerate other races so long as they don't get in their way.

Status: Nightshade, Technician
Powers: Technopathy and Electrical Manipulation
Weapons: A pair of metal tonfa, each of which includes a built-in sonic rifle. The tonfa also feature a series of compartments where Alexa stores many of her and her father's inventions over the years.
In places or situations where carrying overt weapons is out of the question, Alexa will forego these tonfa in favor of a more concealable arsenal that she typically adjusts for each specific mission. This arsenal can potentially include a ballistic knife, shoe knives, or concealed tasers.

Personality: Practical and concise, with a somewhat manipulative streak. She continuously trains herself not to rely on anyone but herself, but will not hesitate to make use of the connections she has. For this reason her personal friends aside from her own family are few, making her especially defensive of friends and family and extremely vengeful toward any real or perceived wrongs against them.
Affiliations: Aridor
Bio: Alexa's parents were born in Russia in the midst of the Cold War, and her father Ivan, a respected scientist, was drafted into the service of the KGB. Initially Ivan, having been raised amidst propaganda, was thrilled to accept the position, serving them loyally as one of their top technicians. But as the years passed he inadvertently stumbled upon one of their closest guarded experiments. The KGB, as he discovered, had learned of a new "superbreed" of humans who reportedly could transport themselves to alternate dimensions and held power beyond imagination, and thousands of Russian Celestians had been kidnapped for the KGB's private experiments under the belief that their abilities could turn the tide in the war.
Horrified, Ivan refused to let this operation continue, and took to secretly sabotaging the experiments by smuggling out the Celestian captives. This continued for a number of months before he was discovered, and in retaliation his superiors arranged the kidnapping of his then-pregnant wife Ludmila, having learned that she was also a Celestian. However, one of the Celestians Ivan had rescued turned out to be a captain in Aridor's military, and in gratitude he returned with an army and raided the base where Ludmila was being held, successfully rescuing her and the remainder of the captives just as her child, Alexa, was born. The reunited family left with their newfound allies to Aridor, where Ivan gladly offered his services to the Aridorrans' cause, and Alexa would grow up to become another of their top technicians in her own right.

Age: 18
Realm of Origin: Earth
Race: Celestian
Status: Nightshade, Musician
Powers: She can use her music to gain a limited control over the mind of a victim, allowing her to alter their mood or even induce vivid hallucinations, and can also transform herself into a fog-like form at will.
Weapons: Ordinarily she uses no weapons, preferring to turn her opponents against themselves or against each other, but she will make use of anything she can get her hands on.

Personality: Chantal's frivolous and bubbly persona conceals a deep-seated insecurity with those around her. As a result, she prefers to keep as many friends as possible and is especially protective of the friendships she has, and tends to treat her encounters with enemies like a simple game.
Affiliation: Nation of Aridor
Bio: Growing up in a single-parent household in New Orleans, Chantal knew virtually nothing about her mother for most of her life, and her father, a mayoral hopeful, had very little time to actually spend with her aside from public appearances. Though disappointed with this circumstance, Chantal found herself a comfortable outlet in her daily music lessons, which her father had thought would give her a "good girl" image with the local press to help further his campaign. But as she grew older, her music took on a darker, less proper tone that frightened her teachers, many of whom quit after a week or so of her newfound taste.
Ultimately, only one of her music instructors was not scared away: a young lady by the name of Alexa. Alexa had in fact come to enjoy hearing her play, and the two grew very close even after Chantal came of age. This led to a string of rumors surrounding the two, enough so that Chantal's father had forbidden her to see Alexa anymore in a bid to restore the family's reputation. Neither Chantal nor Alexa took kindly to this news, and began talking together in secret, and it was during one of these chats that Alexa revealed her true reasons for entering Chantal's life so earnestly. Alexa, as it turned out, was a nightshade in Aridor's elite force, and had been informed that Chantal was a Celestian. She offered Chantal a chance to leave her father behind and join Aridor, but Chantal only accepted her offer to a limited extent. Deciding that her earthly connections were necessary for Aridor's mission, Chantal chose to remain by her father's side on Earth and keep her allegiance to Aridor secret, while recording her songs in Aridor using her powers and reaching celebrity status on Earth not long after.

Race: Celestian Psylon
Status: Elite Nightshade
Power: He has the ability to control fire, as well as summon his servant: a demon that fights with him, and serves him in any way that he wishes.
Weapons: Sword
Appearance: (His demon is the black haired man in the picture.)

Personality: Is a cruel person and loves to play mind games with his opponents. He hates humans with every fiber of his being, and will do anything to get rid of the ‘garbage‘.
Affiliation: Aridorran
Bio: He is the youngest of the Hikari siblings, and has always resented his brother and his parents. He came into his powers at a young age, and he learned how to use them faster than his brother. But he never like just existing with the humans and treating them as equals. This is when he found out about Aridor, and their cause. He joined them, and to prove his loyalty he took his parents to a realm, and burned them alive. He then disappeared. He now works to help his new found family, in finding the Chakra Knights that will hinder them in their plans. He also takes care of anything that his master Pride needs him to. He is currently attacking certain targets on Earth.

Realm of Origin: Earth
Race: Celestian Psylon
Status: Elite Nightshade
Powers: Healing. Can also cut a person internally with his fingers, without leaving a single trace of the cut on the skin.
Weapons: A pair of long daggers.

Personality: He loves to smile, and causing pain to others is fun for him. It is easy to rattle him, but that might be a mistake to do. You never know what he is truly thinking.
Affiliation: Aridorran
Bio: He was visiting a different realm when he was approached by a member of the Aridoerans he didn’t say his name. At the time Tomas was unaware that there was more than one of them in the vicinity. The man asked him if he would like to join his group, and bring the realms under a signal rule. Tomas quickly said no. He didn’t want to be a part of the blood shed that would ensue. As soon as he turned his back the Aridorans attacked him. The next thing he remembered he was in what looked like a dungeon, filled with books. A man introduced him self as Virgil, and then he started to do something to him. When all was said and done Tomas was now a member of the Aridorran ranks. He has no memory of who he was before he woke up. He was renamed Cross, and they use him as an interrogator, as well as an assassin.

Age: 27
Realm of Origin: Earth
Race: Celestian
Status: Elite Nightshade
Powers: She has the ability to control the body and mind of anyone that she kisses, they can’t disobey any of her orders. There is a way that they can fight her power, but they have to find that on there own. She also has the ability to mimic or copy a person, down to their blood type, personality, powers and mannerisms. This accomplished by just touching the person she wishes to copy.
Weapons: She uses a rapier as her primary weapon she also uses others to fight with her in battle, or the fighting style and weapon of the one that she is copying.

Personality: She is a cunning, and loves to play the part of spy. She doesn’t mind fighting, but would prefer to use others to fight for her.

Bio: Camille was left at an orphanage when she was only five years old. She was told that she was a child born of wedlock, and was not wanted. She lived in the orphanage until she was adopted by a man that had seen that she was a Celestian. He was a member of Aridore, and was looking for recruits. Camille was at the age of twelve at the time of the adoption, and was willing to do anything to be free from that place. She was trained in fighting, and how to use her powers. Now she has worked her way up in rank. She is now an Elite Nightshade, and is sent to different realm to help with taking them over, as well as eliminating any resistance that may fallow.

Each representing one of the seven deadly sins, they possess powers befitting their respective sin, each of which contributes in its own right to Aridor's goals. Though Sygma Pride, being Aridor's original founder, is considered the leader of the Sygma, it is no secret that each of the Sygma have agendas of their own.

The sin of self-indulgence, sexual or otherwise, pursuing one's own pleasure without sympathy for anyone who is abused or otherwise harmed in the process. She holds power over a wide variety of potent pheromones, allowing her a limited degree of mental control over unsuspecting victims. In the event of a battle, she makes use of a set of simple throwing daggers, each of which is coated in a unique venom that she makes using her pheromones. (Rival Virtue: Chastity)

Personality: Though vain and extravagant on the surface, her primary defining trait is her desire for complete control over a given situation at all times, whether openly or discreetly. To this end, she uses whatever means are at her disposal to dominate her targets, especially her male victims, in any way she can, and she takes a sadistic pleasure in physically and mentally tormenting those who do manage to resist her.

Bio:Growing up in the city of Herat in Afghanistan during the Taliban regime, Jaleela was never fully accustomed to the cruelty toward women in her native country. Her father, a former Taliban supporter who converted when Jaleela was born, resolved to educate her and her mother as best he could in the privacy of their own home. However, when she was 16, they were spotted by a neighbor and promptly betrayed to the government. That same day, officers of the Taliban stormed into their home and murdered both of her parents. But as they were preparing to kill Jaleela as well, a man named Christopher Xander intervened. He had learned of Jaleela's budding Celestian powers and had arrived to try and recruit her, but arrived just in time to see the Taliban enforcers attacking her. Needless to say, the human raiders were no match for the trained Celestian, and were all promptly slain. A grateful Jaleela agreed to join the ranks of Aridor as a nightshade, taking a distinct, almost sadistic, pleasure in seducing and dominating the opposite sex as the men in her country had tried to do with her. Her natural talent in this respect impressed Christopher, now calling himself Lord Pride of the Sygma, and years later she was accepted into the company of the Sygma, the seven leaders of the Nation of Aridor, earning the title of Lady Lust and leadership over Aridor's rapidly-growing spy network.

The sin of excess, constantly consuming more of any one thing (food, money, etc.) than what they actually need, without concern for others who truly are in need of it. Within his throat exists a small pocket dimension into which he can absorb large amounts of matter and "vomit" it out as needed. His second power is his most monstrous, as he can create zombie-like slaves by grafting pieces of their own skin onto living subjects, and can retain control over the slave until the grafted skin is removed. His weapon is a patu (club) as used by the Maori people. (Rival Virtue: Temperance)

Personality: Tristan is often very irritable coming from years of always being hungry or thirsty, and often tries to grab the attention of others. In so doing this they often overlook him because he constantly (annoyingly so at times) is vying for more attention. He is a perfectionist by nature and is never satisfied with what he does.
Affiliations: Nation of Aridor
Bio: Tristan was born and raised in Waterloo Ontario where his powers began to show early on which resulted into huge problems for young Tristan. The pocket dimension that resided in his throat prevented Tristan from getting any nourishment from what he ate. The many Celestian specialists only resolved to use IV to give Tristan any form of sustenance. Despite this 'disability' as many labeled it Tristan drove himself to become successful and more than just some average Joe in the world. Eventually he broke out into the world with the creation of a huge social networking site becoming a multimillionaire.
It was not long after that that Tristan was visited by Christopher Xander. The two shared much of the same views on where Celestians should be and it took hardly any effort to convince Tristan to join the nation of Aridor. He has effectively found his role among the Sygma as the one of Gluttony gaining the power of skin graft control, which he has used rather unsparingly effectively creating a vast group of zombie like puppets. Using the ring masks his first power allowing him to enjoy foods and eat for sustenance. When Greed and other ambassadors fail to convince those in other realms to join with Aridor, Tristan often follows after and uses a more direct approach of convincing realms to join Aridor flexing the real power of Celestians. He currently resides in New Zeland and works out of there.

The sin of materialism, desiring more than what they have, often to the point of intentionally robbing others of their rightful possessions regardless of whatever harm is caused to the other person. She is able to absorb energy in all forms into herself (including a person's life force) and later expel this energy, either to create energy blasts or to store the energy elsewhere. Her favorite weapon is a golden chain whip that she keeps tied around her waist as a belt when not in use; this chain whip can shoot fireballs when used in conjunction with her powers. Powers: She is able to absorb energy in all forms into herself (including a person's life force) and later expel this energy, either to create energy blasts or to store the energy elsewhere. Also, she has a relatively natural gift in voodoo magic, particularly the New Orleans variation, which is rumored by some to have been taught to her by a supernatural source.
Weapons: A golden chain whip that can shoot fireballs when used in conjunction with her powers. The whip is often tied around her waist as a belt when not in use.

Personality: At first glance she can appear flighty and inconsistent, but little can actually be determined of her private persona, as she tends to keep her true secrets to herself. Often her motives in a given situation can seem unclear to others, and she has been known to seemingly change her mind about something on a whim, though this is usually part of her own personal agenda.

Bio: Not much is known of Jacqueline's past, apart from what she herself chooses to reveal. She has claimed on occasion to be a descendant of voodoo priestess Marie Laveau, and although this claim has never been substantially proven, it was this belief that first attracted her to the concept of magic as a teenager. It is currently unknown as to who taught her the arts of voodoo witchcraft, but her seemingly natural talent in such fields, along with her natural Celestian abilities, soon drew the attention of Sygma Pride, and she eagerly joined Aridor's mission. Not being very inclined toward a life of battle, she instead chose to take up diplomacy on Aridor's behalf, often seeking out potential allies in different realms in order to weaken the realm's natural defenses. Over the years she proved to be quite effective in this respect, and before long she earned herself a place among the Sygma, representing the sin of Greed, and thus serving as Aridor's chief ambassador.

The sin of apathy, purposefully neglecting the needs of others even without self-gratification. Appropriately, he has the ability to control the effects of gravity on an object or person, allowing him to either trap his victims on the ground with their own weight or leave them levitating helplessly in the air. In addition, he can also walk on walls and ceilings by gravitating his own limbs to a surface. He is the only one among the Sygma who does not carry any personal weapons, preferring to use only his powers in battle. (Rival Virtue: Diligence)

Bio: He was raised by a poor Celestian family that was just trying to get by. One day he returned from doing some errands for his father, finding both of them lying dead on the floor. After that he was unable to take care of himself, so he resorted to stealing to get by. When he found out about his powers he used them to get away from his pursuers many times. One day a group of thieves out for his life ambushed him, starting to beat him severely. Through the commotion he barley heard some one say that ‘They were in his way‘. One of the men grabbed the stranger, but there was another man behind him. Suddenly the thief was on the ground screaming, as a line of red liquid ran down one of the stranger’s swords. The others saw what had happened and ran from them. The man with the sword cleaned off his blade with a white cloth he pulled from his belt. While the other approached the young man with an offer. He accepted the offer becoming known as Sloth. He never goes to Earth unless he is forced.

Bio: He was raised by the Lord of the province, after the lord made his parents commit seppuku. The lord instructed several of the samurai under his command to start training the boy. After ten years of training he was a force to be reckoned within his father’s army. He was sent out on his first fight at the age of six-teen, returning from the fight with out a scratch. He had developed the countries first double sword fighting style. After a wile he grew tiered of his father just sitting in his home, giving all the samurai the orders to fight. Not once did his father dirty his hands, so one day when he returned from an assignment. He slaughtered the entire estate, down to the women and children that were there. After that he earned the title of Oni of the blood, and many people were sent out to kill him. One day a man approached him with an offer, he agreed leaving his old life behind, and fallowing the one known as Pride. He became Wrath of the Sygma. He is now helping him new master with the task of finding the Chakra Knights, and stopping them before they get into their true powers.

The sin of jealousy, the unfounded desire of what another person possesses usually to the point of unprovoked hatred. Be wary of this Sygma's touch; he can spread disease and decay into any object or person that touches his bare hands. The most recent addition to the Sygma, he fights using a chain blade that can connect the pieces of the whip like blade to make a sword. (Rival Virtue: Mercy)

Personality: Reclusive and stern. It is rare to see him truly angry, but when he is, he can become a force to be reckoned with. Though he is a man of his word, he loathes treachery from his allies and takes every possible measure to avoid it. For this same reason, he will not hesitate to destroy anyone who betrays him or the cause of Aridor.

Bio: Christopher Xander was born to a working-class Celestian family in London, England, and lived a relatively quiet life with his humble parents until, when he was 17, he discovered an ancient stone tablet buried beneath their house. Curious, he took the tablet to a local museum and asked the curator to translate it. The curator was shocked by what he discovered; the tablet spoke of innumerable other worlds being spawned by the people of Earth, and that among the humans were those who could transcend the boundaries between these worlds and harness the power granted them by the creation of each new world. A week after the discovery, Christopher grew into his Celestian powers, and came to believe that he was among the people that the tablet described.
Resenting that he had lived as a commoner for so long despite being so blessed, Christopher confronted his family that night, telling them about the tablet and urging them to leave Earth and live as kings in the other realms. However, Christopher's father asserted that he had long known of his powers as well as those of his wife, but both of them had chosen not to abuse the other realms or their own powers by simply taking over.
But Christopher was not convinced. Realizing that his parents would not seize such an opportunity, he ran away from home and fled to a distant realm, but not before stealing back the tablet from the museum. Keeping the tablet as a reminder of his vision for the future, he took to extensively training and researching in all manner of fighting styles and battle strategies, frequently traveling between Earth and the realms over the coming years. It was through these exploits that he eventually secured the loyalty and respect of a handful of Celestians, which would eventually grow to such a large following that he dubbed them a full-fledged nation. In this way, Christopher went on to become the original founder of the Nation of Aridor and the leader of the Sygma, representing the sin of Pride.

United Virtue

This group was the first to rise against Aridor's ruthless conquest of the realms, and to this day it stands as the primary resistance force. They believe that all realms should remain free, as they have been since the beginning, and that no single person, group, or race has the right to dominate over the realms: a belief that has brought them into conflict with Aridor for many years. Though this group consists mostly of Celestians, it is not unheard of for humans and other races to join their ranks as well.

The Domini: The leaders of the United Virtue, and the direct rivals of the Sygma. Each representing one of the Seven Holy Virtues, they are gifted with powers befitting their respective virtue. They are led by Humility, although each of them nonetheless maintain leadership of the United Virtue in their own right.

The virtue of purity, a willful desire for freedom from any and all corrupt influences and temptations. The waters of the realms obey his every whim, including ice and steam, as well as the natural moisture in the air and in all living things. He wields the Ensui sword, which can absorb water to form its blade. (Rival Sin: Lust)

Personality: Is a kind-hearted man with great knowledge.
Affiliation: United Virtue
Bio: He is a member of the Domini, and knows one knows his past. Some say that he had a family once but no one knows for sure. He is one of the United Virtue's members that don’t indulge in his past. What he says when he was ever asked is, “What is in the past can’t be changed, but the future is unwritten.” In truth he wishes that what happen to him didn’t. He was betrayed by one of his children, and barley survived the incident. Only thanks to a mysterious man that helped him after the fact did he truly survive. Then he meets Humility, and found out about his son. So he abandoned his old life, and joined the United Virtue. Now he hopes that he will be able to stop his son, and the rest of the Aridorrans from reaching their goals.

The virtue of moderation, consuming only what is necessary and avoiding waste of anything whenever possible. They are able to temporarily negate all supernatural powers of any single being. (Rival Sin: Gluttony)

The virtue of generosity, a willingness to give of oneself to others for its own sake, without expecting payment. They can directly convert impure forms of energy (fire, life force, etc.) into force fields and projectile blasts. (Rival Sin: Greed)

The virtue of ethics, a willingness to contribute to one's community and beyond to the best of one's ability. His is a distinctive power, able to bring all manner of inanimate objects and substances to life. His weapon is a living sword; a katana born from his power, which goes by the name Umbra. (Rival Sin: Sloth)

Powers: Can bring all types of inanimate objects to life. As well as has a sword that allows him to controls shadows.

Personality: Is extremely loyal, and is a strong willed man.
Affiliation: United Virtue
Bio: When Carl was ten years old his parents died of natural causes, and he was adopted by his godfather Val Graves. He was raised in the home of the sorcerer, and had no talent in casting spells. So his godfather made him a katana that allows him to control shadows. Then one day some Clestians attacked his home realm, and he was unable to help defend it. Not too long after his realm was destroyed he was forced to join the ranks of Aridor, and found out what he truly was. He doesn’t revel his true powers to them for he didn’t want to use them to kill. He was then placed as an Elite Nightshade, for his ability to control shadows and was given the name Shadow. Then one day he was sent on a mission to a realm with a couple of lower level Nightshades. There they were attacked by Humility and the United Virtue, but for some reason they only killed the other Nightshades. As they approached him and were getting ready to kill Carl he threw down his sword and surrendered to them. Humility then decided to talk to Carl for several hours. After hearing what Humility had to say Carl agreed with his philosophy. So he joined the Domini as Diligence. From that day forth Diligence has served the Domini as a spy in the Aridorran ranks.

The virtue of forgiveness, a conscious effort to avoid conflict and also to forgive and repair the damage done by others, without violence. This person's blood carries elements that render them immune to even the most lethal of conventional poisons and diseases, and they are capable of healing the afflicted by mingling their blood. (Rival Sin: Wrath)

The virtue of kindness, a desire to avoid conflict with others, and to do good for others for its own sake and without discrimination. She can temporarily intensify the effect of all powers of a given person, and in battle her weapon of choice is a single rose, which she can change into a thorn-studded whip at any time. (Rival Sin: Envy)

The virtue of selflessness, a willingness to do good for others without unfairly glorifying oneself, and without condemning any person as unworthy or inferior. All manner of weather and storms are at his command, and his weaponry of choice is a twin pair of swords. (Rival Sin: Pride)

Personality: Is a kind man, but has a serious side to him as well. He is a true leader, so he is able to make decisions that will help in his cause.

Bio: Ryan's family moved to a different realm right before he was born, and he came into his powers at a young age. He loved to visit all of the different realms, and converse with the many different people. He grew to love all the realms in their entirety. One day a group of Celestians from Aridor came to the realm killing any of the residents that resisted their advancements. In turn they eliminated over half of the populace including his parents. He was captured by the Celestians, and was tortured when he refused to join them. He was seriously wounded and left for dead in the wake of their take over, but fortunately one of the survivors took him in and treated his wounds. He then heard that they had moved on, and left a small band of them to watch over the realm. When he was strong enough to move he went and confronted them, and using his powers eliminated them, freeing the realm. Later he found out that this was not the only realm that was affected by Aridor. He then left the realm in search of a legend that his parents told him about. After finding what he was looking for he started the United Virtue: a group dedicated to the destruction of the Aridorans, and their leaders the Sygma. As well as to ensure the stability, and unity of all realms. Ryan then changed his name to Humility when he learned more about the Sygma known as Pride. None of the others in the Domini know of his past, and he would like to keep it that way.

Sylvan Heralds

This mysterious order has existed for as long as most Celestians can remember, acting as observers and silent guardians of the realms. At first they cared little about the brewing war, as the realms themselves initially suffered no real damage. But now that Aridor's conquest has threatened the stability of the realms, the Heralds have emerged from hiding to aid the United Virtue. The Chakra Sages hail from this order, and it is they who granted the powers of the Chakra Knights.

Race: Human Magic-User
Status: Herald Guardian
Powers: Ace has a natural affinity for magic, but the full extent of his power is unclear since he has lately had to relearn his magic from scratch. Currently the only abilities he can fully control are telekinesis and illusionary magic.
Weapons: A simple staff, shaped to look like an ordinary cane, which actually serves to channel his magic.

Personality: A gentleman in every sense of the word, and has a distinct fondness for performing onstage. Ace holds a great deal of respect for the Sylvan Heralds, particularly his mentor Uriel.
Affiliations: Sylvan Heralds
Bio: Ace knows nothing of his own past, save for a series of recurring dreams of living in a grand, futuristic metropolis, and often of performing on a stage surrounded by flashing cameras and cheering crowds. Invariably, however, these dreams are soon accompanied by visions of a massive swirling vortex, roaring flames, and strange men clad in black, with only one figure at the source of all the chaos: a sinister black-haired young man with a cross emblazoned in red on his back. At times Ace even sees himself trying to fight the man, to stop the surrounding onslaught, but the final outcome of this battle is never shown.
The earliest real memory Ace has is of waking up on a soft feather bed in a small tent by a fire, his clothing torn nearly to shreds and his wounds expertly bandaged, with a fair-skinned man smiling down on him. This man was Uriel, one of a native tribe that lived in the area, among whom Ace was viewed as little more than an unwelcome outsider. Uriel, however, thought differently, and despite just barely avoiding punishment for bringing Ace to their lands, it was at his strong insistence that the others tended to Ace's injuries. Little else is known of Ace's time among the tribe, but he was contacted by the Sylvan Heralds not long after his recovery and soon joined their ranks, some time after the five domain chakras were first released on Earth. Soon the time came for the Chakra Sages to reveal this act openly, and Ace was one of three members selected to be Herald Guardians, tasked with seeking out and protecting the young Chakra Knights when they came of age.

Personality: He is completely calm, and rarely let’s his emotions get in the way of his mission.
Affiliation: He does what needs to be done.
Bio: Uriel is a member of an otherworldly tribe unknown to most others, who watch over the realms, and protect the balance of the realms. As well as protecting the barriers between the realms. He is appointed this task for an event in the past that he personally attended. So he was assigned this task. As he was attending to this task he witnessed an event in another realm that shook him. He rescued the host of that realm, a young man named Ace Cooper, from the invading force, and took him to the tribe. This was looked down on by the rest of Uriel's kind, as it was against the laws of the tribe to bring outsiders to their lands. Uriel had done some first aid, but Ace's injuries needed the hands of a master healer, so he immediately took Ace to the healer of the tribe, only to be detained by the chief shortly after arrival. The chief had called a meeting to discuss his fate and that of the man, but for reasons unknown to him he was set free, and Ace's life was spared. Uriel was then given the task of watching over Ace, and was able to be the first face he saw, but Ace had unfortunately lost his memories of himself and his native world during the takeover of his realm. This troubled Uriel, but he couldn’t bring himself to tell him what happened. He knows one day that Ace will remember, and possibly resent Uriel. As he and Ace were preparing to depart, the chief walked up to Uriel giving him another assignment, telling him in their language so that Ace could not understand. He doesn’t tell Ace what was told, but he carries out his mission wile helping Ace in his appointed duty of protecting the knights. Chakra Knights

Believed to play a crucial role in the war with Aridor, these five young Celestians have been imbued with the powers of each of the five Domains, as part of the Sylvan Heralds' first act in the war. Though the Chakra Knights are the best tangible hope for the Sylvan Heralds and the United Virtue, they are also viewed as the worst of all obstacles for Aridor's plans, and in their desperation both sides of the war have searched the Earth for the Knights. Aridor in particular has sent innumerable raids to Earth in their search, leaving all kinds of chaos and destruction in their wake.

There are five domains, and therefore five knights. A brief description of each domain and the powers of its respective knight are shown below.

The domain of physical form, as well as one's most basic instincts. Appropriately, he possess strength, speed, flexibility, and endurance far beyond that of the average human. Though in practicality he typically fights unarmed, whenever possible he carries a taiaha spear-staff (http://www.kiwitreasure.com/Prodimages/AA01/Size-Hand-Carved-Taiaha-Maori-Spear.jpg) with which he can create powerful gusts of wind by sweeping the taiaha outward.

Status: High School Student, Surfing Champion
Powers: Superhuman Speed, Strength, Flexibility, and Endurance.

Personality: Outspoken, strong-willed, at times cocky and impulsive. Despite this, he does have a strong sense of honor and loyalty, especially with family and friends, although he does tend to have a relatively sensitive pride when challenged or following a failure on his part.

Bio: Born in Rotorua, New Zealand, Kyle grew up since infancy in a local slum under the control of a powerful street gang: enforcers for a widespread drug empire led by kingpin Tane Mahora. Kyle's father and uncle, both police officers, tried desperately to protect him and his older cousin Shawn from Mahora's increasing control in their community, and to this end both boys were consistently instructed in their Maori heritage. Their people, his father would always say, were proud warriors through and through, never backing down no matter how bleak the situation seemed, and Kyle took this philosophy very seriously growing up.
When Kyle was 13, his father was brutally murdered in the line of duty by Mahora's men, after which he was sent to live with his uncle. Unknown to him, Shawn, distraught by the killing, had secretly joined Mahora's gang in a bid to protect his family from further attacks by Mahora, serving as one of their lesser enforcers for the following four years. But eventually, Mahora learned from one of his spies that Kyle and Shawn evidently had some form of special powers, and demanded that Shawn bring Kyle to him to be recruited into the gang. When Shawn refused, Mahora ordered that the Tangaroa family be exterminated, leading Kyle's uncle and the Auckland police to offer Shawn protection and full immunity in exchange for Shawn's cooperation in the case against Mahora. As a result, the family moved to a coastal suburb in Auckland and attempted to put the entire affair behind them, while Kyle began to take up surfing as a hobby and occasionally entered a few local tournaments to earn some extra money.

The domain of conscious thought, logic, and reasoning, and how one applies these in daily life. As such, her powers manifest most often through the mind, and they include telekinesis, telepathy, and limited hypnotic abilities. Unlike most of her fellow knights she carries no weapons, believing her powers to be sufficient in a fight.

Personality: Alinä lives by the quote from our beloved Dr. Suess "Those who mind don't matter and those you matter don't mind". And doesn't give a shiz about what other people think about her, mostly because she knows what other people think about her, and after suffering 12 years of public schooling...she has learned to just not care. Being able to read minds, she gets her opinion of people within the first 2 seconds of knowing them, and will treat you accordingly. If you are a good person, she'll be nice. If you aren't, she'll be a bitch. Simple as that.

Bio: Alinä was never a popular girl growing up, mostly because she could see through everyone and wasn't afraid to tell you what she thought. She didn't even have many boyfriends. Sure she was pretty enough to be sought after, but she could tell exactly what they really wanted, and knew if they were cheating or not. Put that together with her love for education...she was a regular outcast. She was okay with that, she promoted the alienation, the constant hum of other people and the occasional flying book when she got mad...made for getting easily irritated and having a lot of explaining to do. Her grandmother was a Celestian, so she learned most of what she knows from her, and she is by far the closest to her. Her parents are in the know, but don't approve of her sneaking off to realms, they don't really understand what it's like.

The domain of ambition, courage, and the strength of will to actively change one's world or community, for better or for worse. True to the nature of this domain, this knight controls all forms of energy, able to conjure vast amounts of it as force fields and projectile blasts. He is also skilled with the katana, the dagger, and with a bow and arrows.

Status: Chakra knight
Powers: He controls all forms of energy, able to conjure vast amounts of it as force fields and projectile blasts.

Personality: He is a kind man, but it is not shown. He is usually quiet, and to himself, but will speak when spoken to or needs to speak. He has the ability to change, but right now he is more reclusive after being betrayed.
Affiliations: Chakra knight, street punk, Ex-Aridoran
Bio: Jace was one of these weird cases, that his parents didn’t want him, so they took him to the realm of Togainu no Chi leaving him there to fend for himself at the age of five years old. He was taken in by Akira and Shiki. Thought Shiki didn’t take an interest in the child till he got older, and was able to hold his own against him. He was raised in the world of Igura, and was taught how to fight. He grew up not knowing what he is, but he knew that he was different because he could use different kinds of energy to help him in his fights. He became a skilled fighter, and he also became a rogue in the fights, not really wanting the prize just for the thrill of putting his life on the line in a fight.. He uses knives as well as swords when he fights He was later found by Cross and was convinced to come to Aridore and talk to Pride. He was told what he was, and that there were people that wish for them to serve the realms, but they wished to rule over them. Jace was tempted by the words of Pride, and agreed with it. He helped in the fight against the realms, as well as the search fro the knights that would ruin their plans. The technologies department worked with him and made him weapons that would turn into energy, and enter his body, becoming a part of him. So they made him a sword, a knife, as well as a bow that he did learn how to use proficiently. But one day he was tested by a man that he didn’t know and was found to be one of the knights. He was instantly incarcerated in their prisons where he was unable to use his powers. He was now waiting to be executed in the name of Aridore.

The domain of emotions and intuition: the direct reflections of one's subconscious. This knight is a powerful healer, and she also possesses the ability to transmute all kinds of nonliving matter into different structures and forms. In combat she wields a relatively unassuming pair of emei piercers, each of which can create short, powerful bursts of energy.

Personality: Optimistic and outspoken; sometimes she has a bit of a mischievous/sarcastic streak, but she always means well by it. She tends to lash out at any perceived injustice and, on that note, she does tend to be overly sensitive to insults or outbursts, especially if she feels that it was undeserved. Typically she avoids arguing for exactly this reason, and in general prefers to act as something of a peacemaker.

Bio: Born to a long line of Celestians, Amanda grew into her powers when she was five years old, and her excited parents, immigrants from China, were eager to teach her how to use those powers. Over the years the use of her powers has been minimal, often to create small, simple gifts or play minor pranks. As a freshman she was accepted into her school's cheerleading squad, albeit becoming a relative misfit among the older girls in some aspects, and she is almost always seen helping the occasional hopefuls train before tryouts.

The domain of spirituality and the subconscious, which silently shapes one's conscious persona. This knight's powers are well-suited to such a domain, and they include invisibility, passage through solid objects, and astral projection. In battle, he makes use of a pair of gloves that can produce a living wire from the fingertips.

Personality: Is a kind hearted person that thinks before he acts. This is the main reason that he is in control of a multi million dollar company. His parents had left for him. He also makes friends easily, and is always willing to help people, in any way that he can.
Affiliation: Chakra Knights, Crystalline Enterprises
Bio: He is the son of a wealthy Celestian family that has existed for ages. He and his brother were raised to respect humans, and to live as one of them. When his parents were killed in a mysterious fire, that was in another realm, they never found the remains of either his father or his brother, but his mother was found, and buried in the family cemetery. Dante was then made head of the family, and is now running things. He is also looking for his younger brother that has gone missing after the fire. He is still looking for his parents killers, but his main concern is the company. So he lets a close family friend run the family business as he goes looking. He returns to Earth a lot so he can keep tabs on how everything is going. He still hasn’t found his brother, nor the people responsible for his family death. He is now home taking care of some problems with people trashing stores that his company owns.

Chakra Sages

Though not necessarily leaders of the Sylvan Heralds, these five Celestians have earned themselves a place among the order's most prominent members, and it was at their suggestion that the Heralds first intervened in the escalating war. It was they who successfully gathered the essences of the Domains into the five chakras and released them on Earth, thereby imbuing the Chakra Knights with their powers. The Sages nonetheless retained some traces of the energies they harnessed, and although not as powerful as their Knight counterparts, their experience has allowed them to unlock certain abilities that the Knights have yet to access.

NOTE: The Chakra Sages have all the powers of their Knight counterparts, plus one or two extra powers. In the profile sections that follow, only the extra powers will be listed.

Represents that which can be seen by the naked eye, as well as humanity's most basic instincts. Somewhat appropriately, this sage is able to convert energy into any physical matter of their choosing through contact with the energy form in question.

This domain involves knowledge and insight, and mankind's constant pursuit of it. This sage is a masterful illusionist, able to confuse or block the minds of other beings or even produce vivid hallucinations.

This domain represents mankind's strong will, passion, and ambition: the driving force behind an ever-changing universe. Given sufficient power and concentration, this sage can in effect transform themselves into energy, albeit temporarily.

This domain deals with love, compassion, and selflessness, and the very real capacity for all three in all living things. He can heal mental and astral injuries as well as physical, and can produce intense degrees of light for varying effects. He wields a sword in battle.

Personality: Is very kind hearted, and caring. But during battle he shows no mercy to the enemy.

Bio: Dean was raised by a poor Celestian family, but he was content with that life. Yea he wanted more from life, but he loved his family too much to care. One day a man came to his family’s home and, killed everyone off except for him. The man told him that if he wanted to get revenge seeks him out, but instead Dean just wandered around in a state of shock from loosing his whole family. One day he was found by a man named Ren Hunter, He was a Celestian that knew his family. He took him in and raised him till he reached the age of nineteen. Then Dean decided to travel between realms to find his true place amongst them. He fond Saiya, and joined the Sylvan Heralds. He wishes to use them to find his family’s killer.

The more mysterious of the five domains, the Soul Domain deals primarily with faith and the spiritual sphere: that which cannot be seen by the naked eye. A shapeshifter, this sage has also attained full mastery over astral energies, and she manifests these energies as projectiles, force fields, etc. She uses a simple pair of gloves that, like those of her knight, can produce a living wire from the fingertips, and also uses a dagger for close combat.

Bio: Saiya was born to a Gypsy clan. Her mother died during birth, and he father was already dead. She discovered that she was a Celestian at the age of six. She continued living her life as a Gypsy, and playing with her powers when the others were asleep. One day she had to abandon her Gypsy family in order to keep them safe. She found that she was being hunted, so she fled to a different realm. She was found by one of the members of the Sylvan Heralds, and agreed to help them. She is now looking for her knight so that she will be able to stop Aridors advances.

Not everyone is involved in the raging conflicts in the realms, and indeed some people on Earth, including a few Celestians, remain blissfully unaware of the war surrounding them. Most humans will be considered neutral, but exceptions have been made by both sides on occasion.

Power: He is able to predict what is going to happen, for a signal moment it time. He is also able to control wind.

Bio: He was never told how to live by his family, and was allowed to make his own decisions since he grew into his powers. He one day by chance meet Qiang Yao wile he was fishing down at a river. They started seeing another, and eventual got married. This was the happiest day of his life. But before long, China's communist regime made life far less tolerable for Celestians in that country, so Hyuga made arrangements for his family to move to America.
A wile after they moved their first child was borne, and his wife wanted to name her with an American name. He agreed so the child was named Amanda. As she grew into her powers he was so proud of her. Hyuga had gone to school, and trained to save peoples live. So now he works as a Paramedic.

Status: Science teacher at Amanda’s school
Powers: He has the power of Necromancy, and thus is able to control the souls of the dead as well as create then new bodies. He is also able to place his soul into another’s living body, but the circumstances have to be just right.

Personality: He is a kind hearted person that knows how to manipulate people. He is also cruel, and fallows his own ambitions. He is loyal to only one man.

Bio: All that is known about this man is that he is a teacher at Amanda’s school. He stays mostly to himself when he is away from school. But when he is in school he helps his students, and has some kind of attachment to Amanda.

Realm of Origin: Earth
Race: Celestian Psylon
Status: Veterinarian
Powers: Qiang is an omnilinguist, meaning that she can learn any given language - human or otherwise - by listening to and/or observing the language for a varying period of time. She can also control all forms of plant life, and has become a skilled herbalist for this reason.
Weapons: A can of pepperspray, purely for self-defense.

Personality: Calm and motherly. She is highly protective of her allies and especially so of her family.
Affiliations: Wildlife Conservation Society
Bio: Descended from the Lin family, one of a rare few pure-blooded Psylon families, Qiang's parents sought to keep their bloodline as "pure" as possible, and shunned humans as inferior beings. This made them more than a little disappointed at Qiang's more tolerant views, but they were nonetheless pleased that she chose to marry Hyuga Yao, another psylon from a pure bloodline. Before long, China's communist regime made life far less tolerable for Celestians in that country, and Hyuga and Qiang were among the several of them to immigrate to America.
Some years after the journey the couple had their first child, and Qiang opted to give their daughter an American name, Amanda, in honor of their new life. They would go on to lead a peaceful life, made all the more joyful as Amanda grew into her own powers. Qiang herself managed to secure employment as a resident veterinarian at the Central Park Zoo, and unknown to her employers she has often secretly used her powers to help in her work.

Personality: Serious and down-to-earth. He is fiercely protective of his family and friends, often making careless mistakes when one of them is threatened, but it is also this resolve that helps him to persevere through whatever circumstance he happens upon.

Bio: Growing up with most of his family in Rotorua, New Zealand, Shawn was especially close to his younger cousin, Kyle, while Tane Mahora's drug empire was just beginning to close in on their community. Through the efforts of his father and uncle, both police officers, Shawn found a sense of pride in his Maori heritage, eagerly learning their fighting styles and particularly the kotiate, whereas Kyle was mainly partial to the taiaha. Per the advice of his father, who sought a life for the family unaffected by Mahora's growing power, Shawn took up motocross, and soon became a popular figure in his community. Ironically, his talent also caught Mahora's eye, although he initially refused job offers from Mahora over the years.
This quickly changed when Shawn's uncle - Kyle's father - was brutally murdered in the line of duty by Mahora's men, and Kyle was effectively adopted by Shawn and his father. Desperate to protect his family, Shawn secretly agreed to serve Mahora as one of his lesser enforcers, acting with a bitter loyalty on his behalf for the following four years, until Mahora learned from one of his spies that Kyle and Shawn evidently had some form of special powers. When Mahora demanded that Shawn bring Kyle to him to be recruited into his empire, Shawn refused, unwilling to drag Kyle into a criminal lifestyle. Enraged, Mahora ordered that the Tangaroa family be exterminated, forcing Shawn to reveal his ties to the Mahora drug ring to his father and the rest of the local police. Determined to leave Mahora's gang for good, Shawn agreed to work with the police against him in exchange for protection and full immunity, and at his suggestion the family moved to a higher-class suburb in Auckland in a bid to put the ordeal behind them.

Otherworldly Races

Beyond our Earth are a vast number of realms, and equally many races populate these realms. Their freedom hangs in the balance in the midst of this war, and while most of them are unaware of the fight for their future, those who are aware are another matter. It is a common tactic of Aridor to secure alliances with known enemies of a particular host in order to take over the host's realm, although these impromptu allies are subject to careful scrutiny. On the other hand, most other non-Earth beings will tend to favor the United Virtue and/or the Sylvan Heralds, unwilling to submit to the conquest of Aridor, and these beings can make invaluable allies.

Below are listed the profiles for non-Earth beings who are not directly affiliated with any of the particular groups described earlier. Those who do belong to any given group will be listed in their respective group's section.

This is where locations exclusive to this RP will be listed and described in brief detail.

Earth: The green and blue planet is home to humans and celestians alike, and all other realms originated from here. It is known by most races that supernatural powers and technology are somehow neutralized on Earth, which continues to confuse and amaze celestians. For this same reason, Earth is often used as a neutral battleground, as this property allows for a relatively fair fight.

Machia: The primary base of operations of the Sylvan Heralds, this massive temple was constructed in a very small realm created from the remnants of fallen realms. The temple's location is known only to the Heralds, but that hasn't stopped their enemies from trying to change that.

Aridor: The base of operations for the Nation of the same name, this "realm" is actually a collective term for the many realms overtaken by Aridor. Their conquest does not generally sit well with the realms' native residents, so uprisings in this region are relatively common.

Yet another feature from the original subforum. Here members can vote on what realm they would like to move the storyline to next. This way everyone has a say in the RP and the direction they want to take it. Just be sure to check the procedure below and follow the instructions there, and let your voice be heard!

Step 1: Members may nominate a realm of their choice for this RP by filling out the Nomination Form (see the spoiler below this one) and then PM the completed form to me (Lady Celeste). Nominators will remain anonymous, and there is no limit to how many realms you can nominate.

Step 2: Nominated realms will be featured in the Current Choices section. Once we get enough nominations, I will create a poll with the nominated realms. To avoid the hassle of re-voting, realms nominated after the poll is created will be recycled for the next voting period.

Step 3: Once the poll goes up, members may vote in the poll for the realm/arc they would like to see played out next. Non-members may nominate and/or vote as well if they so choose, but their votes may or may not count in the final tally. (SEE STEP 4.)

Step 4: When the arc currently running ends, or once all members have voted, the realm/arc with the most votes will be used as the next arc in the storyline. (If, and only if, there is a tie for the most votes, only members' votes will be counted.) If the storyline permits, the runner-up may also run concurrently with the winning realm.

Step 5: Nominations not used in one voting period will be recycled for the next voting period, and the process starts all over again.

Realm Nominated: (The name of the realm you would like to see. Any work of fiction is acceptable.)
Background Information: (Give us some information on the realm you want to nominate, or show us where to find information. This way, anyone not familiar with a particular realm can still RP in it.)
Possible Arcs: (Briefly describe one or more potential storylines that you would like to be used for this realm, relative to the overall RP. Other members may nominate alternative arcs for a realm already nominated, if they so choose.)

Reason: (Briefly explain why you chose to nominate this realm. Give us good reasons for this nomination to be added; just saying "bcuz ((CHARACTER)) is soo hawtz n i wan 2 c him/her kik ((OTHER CHARACTER))'s azz!!111!1eleventyone!" is grounds for immediate rejection of your nomination. This section will not be shown in the Current Choices spoiler.)

Possible Arcs: Aided by the villainous Royal Pain, the forces of Aridor set their sights on the young hero Will Stronghold, as well as the prime force he holds within. The Chakra Knights learn of a mole planted at Sky High following a narrowly-thwarted ambush at the Stronghold home, and with Principal Powers' help the knights go undercover to stop the spy.
Reason: I think it would be interesting to see the Chakra Knights together in a typical school setting without really needing to hide their powers.

Possible Arcs: Having Nero already captured by Aridore, and Dante Fighting to get him back. They arrive to see the realm already in discord, and Dante fighting some demons that are attacking him. Or something along those lines!

Possible Arcs: They arrive with the realm already in chaos, and Riou hiding right outside of the castle that Aridor had built to secure the land. Jowy is already their pawn, and is the one in charge of hunting down Riou to bring him in.

Possible Arcs: Late into a darkening gray night, Bella and Edward Cullen decided to visit their respective families in Forks one last time before settling into their new life together. It would be the last time anyone saw or heard from the pair, and the remainder of the Cullen family immediately suspected foul play when only the young Renesmee was found the next morning, lying unconscious amid the bloodstained snow. On that day, Aridor left its mark on Twilight, and secretly they conquered the entire realm almost immediately afterward.
Recognizing a potential asset in the Twilight vampires' strange immunity to sunlight, the Aridorrans immediately set their sights on the vampires. Every day, more and more vampires have been abducted for their experiments, all in a bid to harness this immunity to create an army of day-walking Celestian vampires in Aridor's service. To save their kind from the dangers posed by Aridor, the vampires have forged a desperate alliance with their mortal enemies, the werewolves and shape-shifters, who fear that their kind may be targeted next. Together, they wage a secret war on this common threat but continue to sustain heavy losses, due to an unnatural power in Aridor's possession. Possible Arcs: The Children (James Sirius, Albus Severus, Lily Luna, Rose, Hugo, etc..) of our heroes Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger realize that the family of the former Death Eaters are making a come back and even involving the Sygma, and the Chakra Knights would help the wizards and witches solve the problem.

Possible Arcs: The fall of the Mortal Kombat universe into Aridor's hands was not a gentle one; ever since the untimely demise of champion Liu Kang, the near-conquest of the Dragon King Onaga, and the unanticipated hastening of Armageddon through the energy of Blaze, the overwhelming carnage of the unending war has threatened to tear the realm as a whole to shreds. With Liu Kang mortally dead and his physical remains enslaved by a horribly corrupted Raiden, the recently host-less Prime Force of Mortal Kombat has since been driven mad with grief and panic and fled into unknown regions, leaving the entire MK universe highly unstable and vulnerable to the troubles to come.
Prudently taking advantage of the widespread disarray, Aridor found a solid ally in the inhabitants of Seido, whose desire for unyielding order compelled them to place their trust in this highly organized force. The Sygma have also gone on to form more uneasy alliances with key figures among the Forces of Darkness, most notably Shao Kahn, and through these connections Aridor secretly seized power for themselves in all worlds within Mortal Kombat and overwhelmed nearly all primary bases of the Forces of Light, most notably via the capture of the Special Forces headquarters and the Lin Kuei temple. In the midst of this battleground, it now falls to the United Virtue and their allies to fend off the Aridorran invaders, find the lost Prime Force, and restore some degree of balance to this widespread realm.
Other Notes: This arc would be a prequel of sorts to the uppcoming Mortal Kombat game set for release in 2011. Therefore, it is set immediately after MK Armageddon.

Oh, and Blue, just so we're clear on this, non-human races (including Celestians) cannot use their powers on Earth. The sole exception to this rule thus far is a Psylon's inherent telepathy and remote-viewing abilities, and although they might be able to hear the thoughts of others, they cannot speak telepathically on Earth except to other Celestians. So don't worry, because there's nothing wrong with your profile or your post whatsoever, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of these limitations.

Beautiful, I love it! But after seeing some of your previous work, I'm not surprised. This is definitely going in my siggy!

Only bad news is that the person who plays Clive (second guy from the left on your banner) hasn't posted in well over a month, and unless he shows up before the other knights all get together, we might have to reopen his spot. If that happens then that would make his picture in the banner out-of-date, but still, great job all the same!

Well just to be fair, I've sent Vinyl a one-week notice. If he doesn't post within the next week or give some kind of notification as to why he's not posting, I'll drop his characters and reopen the Spirit Knight position. If that happens, either Yami or I would most likely end up claiming the spot, assuming you don't want it Blue. Either way, we'll probably end up with all of the Knight spots filled soon enough.

Oh BTW, since none of the knights' weapons have been introduced yet, I took the liberty of switching out Amanda's weaponry because, thinking about it, the discus would most likely be too big and clunky, whereas Amanda is more speed than strength in terms of combat. Her new weapons are essentially laser-firing Emei piercers.

SMALL UPDATE:

Some of our more recent prospective members have voiced concerns about their characters being too Mary Sue-ish for one reason or another. For now, in order to put everybody's mind at ease with regard to the dreaded Sue, I would recommend (but not require) the Writer's Mary Sue Test at the link below as a good starting point to avoid your typical Sue-isms.

I recently discovered this test myself, and have run some of my own characters through it without any failures or red flags thus far. Instructions and background information for the test are in the spoiler below; if you have any questions, or if you would like to improve your score in any way, do not hesitate to ask me.

The test is split into six main pages, each of which covers a general source of Sue-ish traits, or conversely, the unnecessary lack thereof:

Prelude: The rules (which are relatively short) are shown here, and this is also where you give your character's name and gender. This does not affect your score or the other questions in any way; it's only used to plug in your character's name and/or gender in all the other questions to make the test refer specifically to that character.

Mirror Mirror: How similar is your character to yourself? Questions here ask exactly that, mainly testing how many physical or characteristic traits you and your character share. This is a good section to check for and avoid the self-insert trap.

Beware the Monks of Cool: Questions here test for "cool" attributes typically assigned to characters and Mary Sues to make them more popular/badass/what-have-you. Good for balancing your character without making them too nerdy or unattractive.

Cower, Common Mortals: Similar to Beware the Monks of Cool, except instead of testing for literally cool traits, this section tests your character's special powers, origins, and other quirks that most Mary Sues tend to overexaggerate or idealize. Like the section before it, this is good for keeping characters in check without turning them into the wimpiest laughingstocks in the known universe.

Oh The Trauma: This section covers your character's past, or more specifically, all the tragic, genuinely traumatizing aspects of it. Depending on your character, a dramatic event in his/her past may or may not be in order, but keep in mind that Mary Sues tend to abuse these traumas in writing in a poor attempt to gain sympathy from readers. That said, this section helps to keep your character's tear-inducing history at a realistic level relative to said character.

Momma Loves Me Best: The last section focuses on how much preferential treatment you give to your character in general. Obviously, Mary Sues get TONS of preferential treatment from their creators, but on the other hand, I've never once seen a character played well if the creator gave them no rewards at all. Good for fostering a healthy extent of TLC for your character.

Once the test is over, you will be given a detailed description of your character's strong and weak points based on your results, and below this summary you will be shown your character's scores for each of the sections of the test (in order) as well as the character's total score. These results will be color-coded depending on the score in question, as explained below:

BLUE :: This score is unusually low. A few more points in this department won't usually hurt your character in terms of Sue-ness, but since character results are often subjective it would be wise to consult another RPer/writer to determine first if any improvement is needed.

GREEN :: This is almost always the ideal score range for any given section. A score at this level is perfectly fine, and improvement is rarely needed in these cases.

YELLOW :: This is not necessarily a bad score to be at, but depending on your results some degree of improvement may be in order. Further consultation is recommended.

RED :: This score is too high to be ignored, and typically indicates Mary Sue traits in your character. Improvement is strongly needed at this level, and a red Total Score may call for discarding the character altogether and starting over.

Sorry about the late reply!! Yes you can leave the barrier. It is for stopping external attacks. Not for keeping the one on the inside from leaving, but when you do get out the barrier it will shater, and you might get wet.

Do you remember that Uriel's power it to seal living beings into objects! Well when he gave Alinair the cross, there was someone sealed up inside of it. Have you heard of the anime Towa no Quon! Well the Creatur ( http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r186/yami_sakura_1983/Uriel/4758-2035307072.png ) is Quon, in his transformed state. I will attach a picture the word! You will see what I meant.
