Mr Gale is not seen by anyone until the play starts if you are in the show then you have been hired by one of his servant or requiters he sends out to find the best preformers in the world.

As he grew older he continued street performing but now adding to his list of sleight of hand tricks with feats of daring and extravagant pyrotechnic displays. Eventually he became known as a well regarded magician famous for his flamboyant and extravagant shows

Description: Tall and slender he has close cropped black hair and an angular though not unhandsome face and a thin curving moustache. Wears a black tailcoat custom designed to hold a dark purple cap and short tophat.

That would make it lose its charm because women are naturally more enticing than men. If the Nightingale were a woman, she wouldn't need an amazing voice, but she would need an amazing body.

Yes on both of those questions! As for the plot I mean it to be slightly horror inclined. Also it should end with someone finnaly defeating the Nightingale. BTW The Nightingale takes power form both men and women so he is not particaully inclined gender wise.(sorry if there are a huge number of tipos my spell check is broken and I am mildly dyslextic)

But what they might not know - he's also a thief, par excellence! So why's he here?: Lately, it's all been too easy. Wickets tumble without him even having to raise sweat. Stealing from the unsuspecting rich is getting boring. Vanentine was looking for a new challenge, and he thinks he's found it. His aim? To expose fake mediums, magicians, tricksters and charlatans. He's already, by dubious means, penetrated the secret devices of some of England's top illusionists and fake mediums, and written anonymous letters to "The Times" pointing out just how their occult tricks were faked.

But now, he's wangled an invitation here, and he's going for the ultimate. Any prestidigitator here who can really call up occult forces is in no danger. But if you're faking it - expect considerable loss of (pun intended) prestige!!

OK, there's Reffler's final post. Hopefully, it brings the story to a nice conclusion, with a kind of envoi that will give the reader fuel for thought.

I would like to thank all of my fellow players for the effort they put into this - and the way they let Reffler, originally a minor character, take over the RP and become its (reluctant) hero. Far more proficient writers than me stood back, and gave me my head as if I were a frenzied stallion, and I can only thank their indulgence.

I mean the best endings leave the reader with questions, is the nightingale truly gone? what happened to those other characters? I say we leave those questions up in the air and maybe answer them in the potential sequel?
