Plot Synopsis

One year ago, from the massacre which occurred at the Gray Plains to the unjust burning of the humble town of Ool, these crimes against humanity only served to fuel the fires which spawned a new nation. Central Ishtaria. Tristan Cyril, or who is better known as Tristan the Betrayer, was at the center of this revelation. It was clear not only to him and his peers, but to the people of this land that the war that had been fought by the Empire and Colonies wasn't going to end soon by themselves.

Central Ishtaria has already gained many supporters and is currently launching a campaign against both opposing nations, but in its foothold of Byzanthea it's nobles ignoring the reason for their cause in the first place fight over who should be king over this new regime.

Meanwhile, in the background a cult that has only been revealed as the Black Friars put sinister plots into motion that somehow have a connection with the war that had started nearly nine years ago. All that is known however that their members are powerful to say the least. This Gabriel Lok, a vampire who had possessed the body of the Holy Arch-Bishop Biaggio, still sends shivers down the spines of those who had witnessed his horrors and all in the name of one only known as "Master."

Existence began with the Flames of Creation, whose magical spark had spawned the first, and mightiest of all the gods, Ae. Extinguishing the flames, Ae used their power to create the Sea of Yggdrasil, where he began to create his vast universe one plane of existence at a time.

There are quite literally hundreds perhaps even thousands of deities over the different realms but the most widely worshiped religion within the Material Plane is the Heavenly Pantheon. The Church constantly travels to other regions ranking in converts. Despite this many regions have their deities which seem to thrive well enough



Ae- (http://img.booru.org/Grognard//images/20/6024095ab3af416a05a2ef4d805b70f1034f31ae.jpg) He was among the first to spawn from the Flames of Creation and he had also been the one to craft the Material Plane by sacrificing the iris within his right eye. He than created the original Heavenly Pantheon, although throughout the coarse of history the Pantheon has not only gained members but lost some as well.

After creating the known universe, Ae kept to his throne within the first sphere of heaven. He has become a bit of a recluse and will only allow council with certain gods, the more neutrally affiliated gods to be particular. Although respected there is a very little percentage of mortals in the world, aside from cults and The Church, who actually pay any tribute at all to him for he has made a point to not get involved mortals.

Thanatos (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Thanatos-1.jpg?t=1306791038) - Long ago when the Material Plane had first been created all life lived forever, until several became angry because they thought themselves far superior to Ae's lesser creations. Several of the gods banded together and created death, and so in order to regulate the souls of the newly dead Thanatos was given the task.

He was sent to reside within the border between Stygia and Elysia. When Thanatos had finally seen the endless amount of dead souls he cried a single tear to mourn them. For this reason he is often referred to as the Sad-God.

Baldur - A calm and collective blind warrior he guards the door to the First Sphere of Heaven where Ae lies in seclusion. On the mortal world he represents vigilance and duty.

Patronus- (http://img.booru.org/Grognard//images/21/dfcbbb31863f7375ab93e40220c0804b7024a733.png) Mortal born, he is the God of the Moon, and Magic. In his youth as a young prodigy in the arcane arts he attempted to ascend to god-hood by murdering the old God of Magic. He succeeded in this by using the cursed sword, Oyn's Tooth and his subsequent ascension caused a cataclysm, which caused a war between the Gods and the Devils for over a millenia. Most of the other gods, especially the older ones despise him. He is also the only god in heaven to have arcane power instead of divine.

The Watcher Helios- He represents the sun, the sky and the heavens themselves. He watches over the world as a guardian would. The angels of Elysium follow his command constantly in an eternal battle with the Daemons and Devils of the hells.

Makhai- (http://img.booru.org/Grognard//images/14/f2ade204d814d3a8b747a85065222f7452da0b9b.jpg) The God of Destruction usually toils with the wars that happen in the world. He revels in the slaughter that comes from battles, and he is the most savage of the heavenly gods.

Minerva- Despite her brother, Makhai's, savagery, Minerva on the hand is as wise as any sage could hope to be. She relishes the magic and all natural things in the world. She is one of the only Gods to befriend Patronus.






After the Heavenly Pantheon was created there was an ambitious god who didn't wish to share power, and so he sought other sources of power. Maddened by his ambitions he created Stygia a nightmarish realm of chaos that countered the peace of Elysia, and within this realm he created daemons, along with the original Nine Devils. It wasn't too long however until his twisted creations overcame him, and locked him away in the frozen realm of Cania. His name is forever to be considered taboo among gods, devils, and mortals.

The Nine Devils rule over Stygia, and seek nothing more than to conquer Elysia and the gods. The almost eternal war that has been waged between the devils and the angels is known through out the universe as the Great Astral War.

It is split up into thousands of many layers which form a chaotic maze, although the largest of these layers are controlled by the Nine Devils.






Mephistopheles (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Mephistopheles.jpg) Supreme Ruler over Hell. Lord of Ambition. God of Sin. Being the ruling Emperor of Stygia, he is the most powerful of the Nine. His realm of Cania is the center of Stygia, and is as cold as his cruel heart. Master of plots, he plans every move millinia before they even happen. He has spies in every plane, constantly feeding him information so he can stay to date. Besides his cunning, he also has devastating fire magic that could melt the flesh off the bones of a seasoned army with one sweep.

Lucifer (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Lucifer.jpg) - He proudly holds the title Prince of all Demons, and there is without any doubt among both the Gods and the Devils that he is the greatest warrior in Stygia. He has been known to slaughter entire armies of angels, and on occasion opposing demons. It is said that when he fights his twin swords actually sing along with his movements. Many of the other Devils hold contempt for him, due to his title and power but most aren't willing to risk their lives to do anything about it.

Baal (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Baal.jpg) - The Lord of Murder, he has been plotting to kill Mephistopheles for several millenia but never really seizing any opportunity. He is the third most powerful and dwells in his twisted land of blood, and nightmarish horrors. When angered he will turn into a unrelenting personification of death and destruction.

Jezebeth (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Jezebeth.jpg) - Duchess over Prophecies, she can foretell the future, but is often unwilling to divulge the entire truth to those who want it. She also has powerful psionics that allows to enslave most lesser demons.

Belial (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Belial.jpg)- Since he was once a lesser demon who had managed to overthrow his Devil tyrant he is one of the more civil of the other Nine. He is polite, but will strike hard when the need arises. His power manifests itself as a powerful guardian spirit that never truly leaves him.

Beezlebub (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Beezlebub.jpg) - The Lord of the Flies. Master of plots within plots. He has the ability to see through any conspiracy, and is able to foretell the persons motive allowing him to take measures against such things.

Deumos (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Deumos.jpg) - The Queen of lies. She governs over the succubi, and incubi. She has strong seductive charms that even the most strong willed will find difficult to resist.

Azrael (http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/awean8/Azrael.jpg)- Lord of Fear. He represents nightmares, and within his abhorrent realm lies some of the strangest frightening creatures to ever walk the planes.

Name: Liaman Russvik
Age: 38
Occupation: Ranger and General [badass]

Armor: Liaman has forsaken his Inquisitor plate for armor a little less durable but much more flexible. He wears a padded wool shirt and dark leather slacks beneath his armor. His shirt acts as a gambeson and protects him from damaged rings in his steel scale male shirt. Over his scale male he wears a brigandine of thick, boiled leather with thick plates of steel sewn and bolted in to pockets in his armor. The tails of his brigandine reach down to his knees. On his right arm he wears thick steel plate from collar to wrist. On his left he wears a steel plate gauntlet. He still wears his favorite black boots with rosy brown knee toppers, but now he sports the addition of steel grieves.

Appearance: He stands as a very intimidating sight, the scars from his battle at the cathedral mark him deeper than the flesh, and that is evident. He appears to bear a heavier burden on his shoulders now, but even with his shoulders slumped, he towers over most.

Personality: While his temperament towards Mages has greatly improved, Liaman has become less of a people person than he was before. His faith has been crushed with the events of the past year. He has renounced his faith and joined Tristan in seceding from the Empire. He views the Empire as a kingdom of lies to be slain to the last and he sees the Colonials in not much of a better light. With the loss of his ability to heal, Liaman finds himself helpless much of the time, and drowns his sorrows in drink. Now more than ever, his family is all that he really holds on to. Liaman remains distraught over the shattering of his beloved greatsword, Ice. The broken sword lies in arranged pieces in Liaman's manse, on a black-and-gold fabric covering what was once the grand alter in his home.

Bio:
Sired by the high born family of Russvik in the city of Byzanthaia, Liaman was treated differently than other children of his stature. Liaman was a bastard child, though the fact was kept tightly guarded within the walls of the Russvik manse. The Rissvik's always played the part of the zealot for the Imperium, donatign gold to line the coffers of the church and even seeing a few of the young men of the Russvik line join the ranks of the Inquisition. Liaman was to follow such a path.

He squired for the Inquisitors at the age of eight, caring for their armor and horses while being trained in the ways of sword and taught in the ways of the church. Discipline was always swift and harsh, and the lash of the church's whips flayed the youthful joy of Liaman at a premature age, turning the boy stoic and coarse at the ripe age of ten. He became a man at the age of twelve, by the seductive coersions of a woman who fleets his memory. That very day, he was to join his master on a Purge of a nearby village.

Liaman was annointed to the rank of Inquisitor and annointed with the Five Oils, the mark of the faith forever branded in to his sword arm; Liaman as ninteen that day. That very year, he wed a nobles daughter, Catalyn. They were happy together, and she was the one constant thing in his life that could make him smile, even after the countless horrors he had seen in his line of duty. Liaman and Catalyn sired five children before a stillborn took the beautiful Catalyn to an eary grave. The physician was dumbfounded at the trajedy, expecting a completely healthy delivery. Sickness was not rampant in the High Born district of the city. Many said that it was the will of the gods that Catalyn be taken, but Liaman refused to settle for the bullshit that was fate. Everything happened because of something or someone.

Sure enough, poison was laced in Catalyn's drinking water. The poision was very distinctive, bearing many herbal extacts from the realm of Shahid. Liaman knew of one person who employed assassins and facilitated such subtle and acute poisons. Liaman's master, High Inquisitor Bran, the very man that Liaman named his first son after, was behind Catalyn's death. Bran said that she was a distraction that needed to be removed. Such fanatical and absurd claims drove Liaman in to a frenzy, and hacked his own master to pieces in a fit of rage. With Bran dead and accused of heresy and treason, Liaman was elevated to he rank of High Inquisitor.

To represent his station, the church had a greatsword forged for Liaman out of the finest steel, folded over a hundred times for peerless durability and craftsmanship. The Russvik direwolf head adorned the pommel, carved in silver. The Russvik family mantra, "Non Dormio" - I Never Rest - was engraved on to the blade. Liaman named the blade Ice. The blade and its wielder are both highly regarded and feared. The Russvik house crest bears a snarling direwolf on the hunt - this has earned Liaman Russvik the nick-name of "Dread-Wolf of the Church".

Liaman has broken off from the church along with the rest of the Empire with Tristan for really no other reason than to keep his family protected and to repay the debts he owes those he has wronged. With the founding of Tristan's Central state, Liaman became a general to help ready Central Ishtaria for impending attacks form both the Colonials and the Empire. His anger has a new outlet on the troops and on the field of battle, retaining his reputation as 'the Dread-Wolf', but now he is the 'Dread-Wolf of Ishtaria'.

His body has been improved greater than it was before, his tireless fighting and self-exertion in the past year has made him stronger. However, even with his new responsibilities, he makes more time for his family than he was ever able to before. That was his condition to help Tristan with his foolish coupe - that for the first time in seventeen years, he may be allowed to be real father to his children, that they will be safe and comfortable.

Catalyn Bashere Russvik - wife - died at 28

Age: 18
Occupation: student at Byzanthaia War Academy and squire to his father
Armor: He wears armor very much like that of his father. Bran wears a steel-and-leather brigandine over scale mail with plate armor on both his arms. He also wears a steel helmet and grieves in to combat.

Personality: Naive and idealistic, Bran believes that he alone can change the world with as little fighting as possible. He still believes that war will be like in the tales - the heroes slaughtering the enemy armies with a single swing of their swords. He has taken on more responsibility around the house and has started looking for a wife.

Bio: Raised in great comfort in Byzanthaia by his father and loyal House Staff, Bran sees his father as more than a man, seeing the gods in Liaman and aspiring to be just like his father, much to Liaman's chagrin. Bran joined the War Academy his father started, determined to become the best. Sadly, it is not as easy as Bran anticipated, and he is starting to see the truth of things.

Occupation: student apothecary, though she steals away at her fathers military notes and books when he is away.

Bio: Lara, unlike the rest of her siblings, fears her father. She had the misfortune of seeing him interrogate a man accused of sorcery. Never before had she seen her Lord Father act so cruel. The revelation as to what her father does for a living terrified her, especially when she learned that Rosalyn had a touch of magic in her. She has been apprenticing under the greatest physicians and apothecaries for a couple years now, nearing readiness to open her own practice.

Personality: Childish and jovial, Leman enjoys fun and games as much as he can and abhors hard, honest work as much as any child his age. He is smarter than the average boy his age and he knows it, which gives the boy a bit of an ego.
Bio: Leman has been receiving tutors from the best maesters in Byzanthaia for two years. The greatest scholastic minds in the city come to teach Bran three times a week, and from day one he could beat them all at chess. He has always had an affinity for details and being able to pick opponents apart by studying their behavior. Liaman has taken note of his son's talents and is moulding the boy to be a general.

Personality: Carefree of the world's troubles, Valerya tends to get lost in her own little creative world, contenting herself with sitting quietly or humming a song while she draws in her sketchbooks with pastels and charcoals. She has made many pieces, most of which are dedicated to her father. She is waiting to give a piece worthy of her father's praise when she is skilled enough to make such a piece of art.
Bio: Easily the most eccentric of the Russvik children, Valerya has made a habit of acting out of the norm. She does not desire attention or respect from strangers - all she wants is to create and to be loved by her family. So far, she has never been let down. She always sees the bright side of life, believing in all of the 'fairytale nonsense' that her father disregards so quickly.

Personality: Ever since her kidnapping, Rosalyn has been short on trust, barely leaving her father's side. She still does not remember all that happened, but she sees repressed parts of that night in the form of nightmares. She is a scared child who does not fully understand the magic in her blood.
Bio: Rosalyn was always Liaman's baby, though she could not understand why. Liaman knew that she had magic from when she was very young. Liaman could never bring himself to hurt his own daughter, so he kept her hidden away from the most of Byzanthaia, hoping that the Inquisition would never find her.

After the incident with her kidnapping, she has become very withdrawn, afraid to be by herself in even the most secure of locations. Her memories of the incident are scattered, but she is constantly haunted by nightmares of what her subconscious mind was able to remember.

Personality: Val has refined herself in the past year, no longer able to support her reckless a chaotic lifestyle. However this is only a cosmetic change inside her soul is as cold black and hollow as it ever was
Bio: Despite having very little to do with the events that transpired Val gained when the others in the ragtag group of theirs lost so much. With the Death of Biaggio Val assumed immediate power over the affair of much of the city. The power she gained allowed her to take full control over the City's Criminal Underground. Armor: Haruko wears magically enchanted garments, made for him by Magi around the world, to withstand blades and the elements. He wears no armor, but can constantly be seen in his casual garments.

This beautiful crafted blade was made with a combination of magic and metal. A forge worked alongside a Magi for many years forging this particular weapon. The blade of the Dragon Naginata can be detached from the staff, but only by the wielder. The entire weapon is enchanted from top to bottom. It can resist magic, as well as dispel it to a certain extent. This was the weapon Haruko was given after mastering the tantō. He keeps the blade holstered against his back, usually opting not to use it unless absolutely necessary. He constantly carries the staff either with him or in a specially made bag. The blade and the staff can be used as separate weapons. The blade can operate as a broad sword, while the staff can be used as a pole-arm. The staff is approximately 6 feet in length and the blade is approximately 20 inches in length, 26 inches including the handle.

Extended training with each tantō has caused Haruko to become an expert in wielding them. These two weapons were the first he has ever received. Measuring in at a lovely 16 inches in length each, these blades are more than capable of delivering deadly blows. These blades are so sharp that they could slice through a tree limb with force as well as decapitate with slight force. Each tantō has magic resistant properties. They can deflect magic as well as dispurse magic. He uses these weapons on assassination missions as well as during battle, usually opting to use them instead of his Naginata. He can move very fast with them and is quite the deadly warrior. These weapons can withstand a strike from any type of weapon. They can be found sheathed on Haruko's back. His speed when using these weapons is quite legendary. He can strike many foes in the blink of an eye gaining him the codename "silver wind".
Casual Wear: Haruko will normally wear elegant clothing that shows his high stature in society. His boots are usually custom made, and are usually made of fine materials such as leather. They come up his leg and stop directly beneath his knees. His robes aren't loose fitting, they are tight and form fitting, making for quick and easy movement. He normally lets his hair hang at his shoulders but sometimes he will pin it up in a ponytail. His pants are tailored to fit him and allow for easy maneuverability.
Other Items: Being a ninja/assassin means that Haruko carries various throwing knives, smoke bombs and other accessories to get the job done.

Personality: Though Haruko is as kind as they come, and will do all he can to help an individual; he can be a bit headstrong and stubborn. He can be quite spontaneous as well, and has a degree of respect for authority. He isn't as rebellious as others his age, but he is very strong willed and determined. When he sets his mind to something, it would take the gods themselves to stop him from accomplishing it. Haruko can be a little sarcastic at times and is quite the optimistic young lad. He sees the glass as half full rather than half empty. Don't cross him and expect him not to react. Though he has some degree of respect for authority, he won't be pushed around by anyone.

During battle or a mission, Haruko is very deadly and calculative. He is fierce and seemingly bloodthirsty. He takes his time to wheedle out his opponent’s weakness and once the gash is open, he will repeatedly attack the weakness. He is rather calm during a battle or mission and knows how to keep a level head.

Haruko can be as gentle as a puppy, but as fierce as a lion. Complicated like a maze and ever fueled with the desire to become a great warrior magus. Haruko has a lot to learn, but he is determined to learn, and it is that internal drive that allows him to push forward even in the midst of a storm. He has a motto that he goes by. Treat others the way in which you want to be treated. He doesn't look down on others and sees everyone with a degree of equality. Because of his extensive training in various homeland fighting arts as well as the arcane and mystic arts, he can often be found searching for knowledge.

Bio: Born in the land where people worship dragons, a land in the Far East. He was abandoned at a very young age, approximately 5 years of age. He had no siblings, the streets of the Far East settlements were his home; however, he was eventually taken in by a wealthy gentleman who saw him as a slave rather than a son. He was taught to clean, cook and serve. He became submissive to the one man he considered his father. Eventually he began to develop mixed feelings towards his "father" mostly due in part to the abuse he had be receiving whenever he did something wrong. At the age of 8 he ran away, back to the streets where he found fighting to be his only friend. He had to fight to survive, and fight he did. As he ducked and dodged the many men sent to find him, he eventually stumbled onto a dojo. He master swordsman there took him in because he saw promise within the young man. When Haruko began his training, the sword master gave him two tantō. He informed Haruko that once he had mastered them, he'd receive another weapon as well as respect from his peers. Haruko was picked on and picked out by everyone at the dojo, except one person. As time went on he formed a brotherly bond with the boy who had been there many years before him. He began to consider the boy a brother. His brother helped him master the tantō and upon mastering the blades, was given the Naginata to master. Haruko gained the respect of his peers and began training with the Naginata. Haruko, though trained in the arts of weilding a Naginata, opted not to use it. Haruko and Mugen became inseparable, that is until the sword master separated them due to their training.

He barely had time for his brother, but truth be told his brother was the one who kept him inspired to reach the limit and beyond with his training. At the age of 18 he was fully accepted into the Attila Clan, and used his skills for their purpose. He was at the top of his class, the fastest they'd ever seen, and by far the lethalist mercenary aside from their earlier graduate Mugen. He would assassinate those the clan thought of as trouble, and would do so without even shedding a tear. When he graduated, it was then that he realized that his brother had just as much respect for him as he did. As the years went on, his brother eventually met a woman and Haruko began spending time with a wealthy gentleman whom had a bounty on his head, but Haruko never collected it. This wealthy man in fact began to consider Haruko his own son with the time they spent together. Finally he had found a father figure as well as an older brother. Life for him was perfect in a sense. Haruko never accepted the woman his brother started dating, and saw her as a threat to their relationship. It was he who informed the clan of his brother’s relationship, but what happened next was unexpected. When his brother went on a killing spree, Haruko stood back and watched. He was both shocked and amazed by what his brother could do. Even though they had been trained in the same arts, he still felt that his brother would surely kill him if he knew what he had done. When his brother left on his adventures, Haruko left as well. When news reached him that his old friend had passed on, he was very much surprised by the gifts left to him. He, at first, felt that he was unworthy, but he soon began to realize that he had been too hard on himself for far too long and it was time to enjoy life. Haruko gained the rich man's entire estate.

After the death of his old friend, and the acquisition of such vast wealth, he decided to stop his old ways. Eventually he was contacted by his brother. He decided to travel with his brother around the world. During their travels around the world, he separated from his brother and started hanging around the Colonies. While in the Colonies, he met Akira, a high level mage who showed him a great many things, and taught him a few tricks before vanishing suddenly. Eventually he met back up with his brother who was now serving a young lad named Tristan. Haruko immediately offered his blades and skills to help.

Facially, he has retained his sharp features and cold, blue-grey eyes. However, he has gained a series of glowing runes about his cheeks and forehead since taking on his new role.

Personality: Garret remains the determined and courageous man he was. His new found role in life has given him a slightly broader perspective of the world, but he remains a rough-edged, blunt man who still has a good heart underneath a slightly spiky exterior. With his ties to country and family severed, he looks to his position to give him renewed purpose and vigor in all parts of life.

Bio: Born to a family with a rich history of military and religious service, Garret was introduced into the arts of battle once he was able to walk and talk. It was clear to him early on that his path would either take him to the Cathedral or the battlefield. A young Garret chose military life over that of a priest, even though his younger brother would go on to become an Inquisitor. His natural talents for fighting and willingness to follow orders saw Garret become an officer by the time he was twenty-eight.

After the massacre at the Grey Plains and the turmoil of Byzanthea, Garret vanished for half a year. His visions and dreams grew stronger, leading him to the ancestral burial grounds of the Lucina family. Within the great crypt, he found what the stranger in his dreams had once spoken of: the choice to help the world or set it ablaze. Not being one to take an easy path, Garret chose what was to him the only right path. He claimed both the Armor of Contempt, the ancient black iron armor of The Guardian, and the Fury Sword, a black iron sword wielded by long-dead Servants of Chaos.

He took the Guardian’s Oath, severing his ties to his nation and family in order to serve the greater good of the world. He diligently trained to master both the armor and sword, finding that the armor granted him several old defensive spells and a collection of arcane projectile spells. He discovered that the Fury Sword only truly came to life in battle, glowing with an inner flame and almost guiding his arm to killing blows.

When he returned home, he discovered Tristan’s Ishtaria. Still feeling torn between Guardian and Chaos Servant, Garret made the choice to join his former companions after reasoning that Ishtaria may be the best hope to save the land from the corruption of the Empire and distrustful nature of the Colonies.

Narissa has long flowing flaxen hair that hangs to her waist on her five feet seven inch frame and is often times tied back in a braid. Her eyes shine like emeralds in the sunlight and her comely face is adorned with full luscious lips.

Personality: Narissa is a good hearted woman although within lies the heart of a true warrior. Narissa’s loyalty to those whom she deems worthy of her friendship and to those whom she loves is as fierce as her temper is known to be at times. She takes her work very seriously, continuing to train with all types of weaponry to hone her skills along with practicing the art of stealth in her spare time, but her time is now dedicated to the art of healing others and learning about new medicines and medicinal techniques.

Bio: Narissa was born into a family with a long Rogue history. Having been born into such a family, it would have been expected of her to follow in the footsteps of those who had gone before. From a young age she began to train with her parents, honing and sharpening her skills until would come the day when they would be needed. For a brief period of time in her life she had come to doubt if that kind of life was what she wanted for herself, even going as far as to take up medicine and healing, but as she trained more as a rogue, as she became aware of how much she enjoyed the thrill that came with being a spy her interests turned back towards the rogue way of life. She came to realize how good she was at the art of deception and being able to obtain privileged information as her comely features had afforded her that luxury and in the line of duty she was not afraid to use any of her given talents.

The only thing that had been missing in Narissa’s life was children. In her younger years before she had became widowed, her and her husband although they had tried never had been blessed with children, Rissa assuming that it was she who had been barren of baring children. She turned her pain inward and dedicated her life to her profession.

As time passed and the need for rogues diminished and the need for peaceful healers increased, Rissa turned her attentions back to medicine. Becoming a healer helped her to feel as she were redeeming herself of past evil deeds and acts.

It's exact properties are still unknown but according to the vampire, Gabriel Lok, it contains immense power despite its meager appearance and because of this the Black Friars are after it. Personality: He seems to have recovered from the shock of battle, and the loss of his friend bringing him back to the cheerful optimistic young man that he used to be. Tristan is the type of person to laugh off a bad situation than to linger upon it in a bad light. He's intelligent, and strategical but at the same time idealistic and sometimes even foolish.

Growing in the sheltered city of Anglicion he was naive to the cruel world outside until he battled at the Gray Plains and slowly realized the injustices and misery that the land was in. He still doesn't understand a whole a lot, but he tries his best.

Bio: After the death of Prince Kastor Tristan was condemned as a traitor to quell the mobs who were angry over the death of their beloved prince. In the year since he has been busy gathering supporters for Central Ishtaria, and trying his best to keep the nobles from fighting over who should rule.

The year that he had spent in the safety of Byzanthea was rather peaceful actually. When he wasn't dealing with political matters he spent his time training, and when he wasn't doing that he was out causing mischief with Isaac and Claudia. He also managed to find time to send letters to his other companions who he had wished to keep in touch with. However, every night he would write and send a letter out to his dear mother in Anglicion only to receive nothing in return. Perhaps, his letters were being intercepted, perhaps she was angry at her traitor of a son, or worse perhaps she was dead.

Personality: Since the actions that took place at Byzanthea he had changed to most. His happy and jovial personality had become a rarity to most involved unless he felt completely comfortable around that person, such as his love. Around those that know him personally, he’s still good friend that can change the mood of a room with one smile.

Bio: Born and raised to consider everything the Colonies stood for right and everything the Empire preached wrong, he now wonders where everything lies. After the massacre at the plains followed by being taken prisoner and never sent for in Byzanthea, he’s left to wonder if anything he was every taught was right or meaningful or just brainwashing to the highest degree.

After splitting from the rest of the rag-tag group he traveled with, Mace lives on the outskirts of Byzanthea at the behest of the only person that means anything to him anymore, Alexis. He realized that she gave up a lot to be with him and felt it wasn’t fair to her to force her to leave this place knowing how she felt about both the city and a few people in it.

He still doesn’t care for the Empire, not anymore than he ever did which is to say he never did to begin with although now he feels the same way towards the Colonies.

Although, there’s one person who’s stayed on his mind throughout everything, one person that he feels he has unfinished business with… A certain ex-Inquisitor…

The first part makes sense, but it wouldn't really make sense for her to try to control the whole city during a campaign. Btw, in case I haven't informed you I've decided to take away the whole Homefront idea in favor keeping us slightly together.

Maybe once we're actually back in Byzanthea, Val can slap a few noblemen around.

I plan on Akira being in temporary NPC status until....

Yeah, it was good I liked the "little secret" that he kept from Mugen. Just a couple things to correct that noticed. If you're going to make him an assassin/ninja/samurai I'd prefer that you got a rid of the bit where he knows magic. I don't really want you to have both.

Another thing is that his last night name should probably be Attila if he was an orphan and had joined the clan. I'm unsure, but I don't think orphans tend to have last names, so it would make sense if he just adopted the name like Mugen did. It'll also emphasize their brotherly relationship. :D

He was fine before as an assassin, and I had asked you to remove the magic part to keep you from god-modding which you obviously have a problem with.

and this is why I rarely play magic-wielding characters. Besides, it is more fun writing a character punching a baddie's head in to the ground than writing about a spell blowing him up (IMHO).

Val wears a casual red dress with a long tail, its shoulders are bare. Under the ruffles Val stores numerous throwing knives. The Ruffles can be separated from the dress to make a fancy short skirt and rather fashionable scarf.

Val wears a necklace with a small Vial attached to it. The Vial was given to her by the Witch It contains an extremely valuable substance taken from the the River of Styx. The liquid inside can heal any injury. Val often contemplates on the notion of destroying it.

Val has refined herself in the past year, no longer able to support her reckless a chaotic lifestyle. However this is only a cosmetic change inside her soul is as cold black and hollow as it ever was. Val is one of the most feared people in Byzanthaia. Despite having very little to do with the events that transpired Val gained when the others in the ragtag group of theirs lost so much. Thanks Mysti, it was horrible, and even though there is residual pain, it is nothing compared to how I felt Frday and Saturday. I'm sure I will be 100% before the RP starts, after all I don't want to give anything less than my best in roleplaying from now on.

Which reminds me, I would like to publicly apologize to anyone I may have angered or annoyed. I understand I can be a bit dramatic at times and can go overboard sometimes. I sincerely apologize and hope that we can move on from past events and head towards an awesome future. Personality: Malicious, and calculating this man is capable of destroying the strongest of men. In order to keep his immortality from fading he must constantly devour the flesh of other humans, which after decades of doing has caused him to ascertain a certain taste for it. Anything else concerning this vampire is an enigma.

Bio: The horrific events that transgressed in the Byzanthean Church a year ago is still drawn in the minds of those involved, especially the once foreboding Liaman Russvik. For nearly a decade this man had possessed the Arch-Bishop Biaggio and had engineered a plot to summon the avatar of Baal, the Lord of Blood. After putting on the Relic Ring his body was destroyed leaving his true form free to roam the realms, likely to return to finish the work he had started. It is still unknown what connections he has with the Black Friars but considering his character it can be inferred that the other members will be less than heroic.

Personality: Naturally, he has a knack for getting into various sorts of mischief whether it's finding himself in the bed of the local lord's daughter, or stealing the purse of the most frugal merchant with pride. Although surely one of the more stupid souls you'll ever meet he us without doubt one of the more cunning, and will do whatever it takes to survive.
Bio: He was once the son of an extremely wealthy merchant who had classically began his life with nothing therefore he cherished the gold he earned more than anything in the world, even his own family. There came a time when Diego's mother had fallen ill, and when the choice came about to choose his father chose to work instead of taking care of her in the thinking that money could heal her. She died, and ever since Diego has held it against him even going so far as becoming something like a vagabond who survives on music and thievery alone just to spite him.

Recently, he can be found with his long time companion and fellow bard, Yossarian the Imp, and even more recently he has enlisted into the Central Ishtarian army in the hopes being able to write his new epic on it.

Name: Isaac Espere

Age: 20

Occupation: Commander of the Mage Division of the Rebel Army, Scholar, Mage

Armor: Isaac wears a combination of robes and armor to battle. His robes are colored blue with intricate black designs woven throughout the fabric. The cloth sash belt going around the waist of the robe has many different containers hanging off of it for Isaac to hold his many magical odds and ends in.

The armor fitted over the robe is brilliant, polished silver; made by Byzanthea’s best blacksmith to be decorated with beautiful, swirling patterns. It only consists of a helmet, shoulder guards, forearm guards, and a breastplate, there is also leg armor fitted underneath his robe. Although it offers minimal protection, the armor, like all mage armor, is meant to keep Isaac comfortable and clear of mind, while keeping him as safe as possible.

Weapons: An oak enchanted battlestaff with a dragonhead whittled at the top. As opposed to a mage channeling using his own body, and therefore having to cast spells, limiting the energy output to that which the body can handle, a staff is much safer, quicker, and easier to use when dealing with spells requiring a lot of energy.
Casual Wear: When studying, Isaac will wear a different array of robes, depending on the day. These robes don’t have any special designs or patterns on them, maybe just a black design or stitching pattern. When not studying, he wears average, every day clothes usual for citizens of Byzanthea.


Other items:
Book of Infinite Knowledge – A powerful book created by the great wizard Aze’moth. The mage was always considered to be a bit of loner, but little did most people know was that he had a secret lab that he often hid away in. This book not only contains many notes and anecdotes made by the wizard during his studies, but is also a gateway to his secret lab along with his many servants.

Isaac has a special over-the-shoulder bag made for the Book of Infinite Knowledge, he carries it with him almost all the time, sometimes even into battle.

Appearance: Drawing Isaac has proved too difficult -.- maybe in the next chapter. I’m just going to repost the Isaac from last time. Appearances don’t change much in a year, do they?

Personality: A sensitive, good-natured, although somewhat naive person, Isaac has grown more mature after the events of Chapter 1, but manages to keep the youthful recklessness that had almost killed him numerous times before, these combine to create a kind of "eccentric" personality. He’ll usually be working on deciphering the Book of Infinite Knowledge, almost to the point of obsession. He’ll be in his house for days at a time when he figures something out about the book, and wants to experiment on it. No one knows what he does in his house during these bouts, and no one had gone in to check because of a note that Isaac posts on his door saying “Please don’t knock on the door, I could be working with a volatile spell and I’d be terribly sad if half of Byzanthea exploded as a result of your desire to chat with me.”

Bio: Isaac, after the Battle for Byzanthea, took up his studies in the magical arts using money allowed to him by the city. Being one of the leaders of the rebel movement, he was given enough money to buy a fairly descent house. Instead, he settled on buying a small, wooden house on the more modest side of the city, he found it much more relaxing. The extra money that Isaac doesn’t spend on his studies usually goes to buying food for the poor of Byzanthea.

Eager to begin studies alongside the fabled Akira Harishima, Isaac was saddened to see that soon after settling in his small house, the archmage had disappeared with Orian, the Imperial inventor, without a word. Isaac knows that he has his reasons, though, and began studies by himself, which, without a teacher, were filled with errors and mistakes. Once, an energy ball went horribly wrong, and rocketed out of his roof, then arched through the sky and blew up an entire section of South Byzanthea, luckily, no one sustained any injuries that an inquisitor’s divine magic couldn’t heal.

As Isaac became greater of a mage and a respected, well-known scholar, Byzanthea offered him to be the captain and trainer of the Mage Division of the Rebel Army. He accepted, but only on the condition that he would still be allowed time to engage in his studies.

Isaac changed his last name from "Aspere" to "Espere" so his parents of the name "Aspere" aren't chastised in the Colonies for being the parents of a dissenter in case he's heard about.

Personality: Despite his obviously troubled life he seems to keep a optimistic yet realistic point of view. He is what he is after all. He is in fact a dwarf, and will accept the scorn of those who would reject him. Due to his small stature he tends to rely heavily on other characteristics other than strength and skill, such as intelligence, charisma, and wisdom. He often be found reading when not in the company of his companion, Diego.
Bio: Born with dwarfism he has always been an outcast in the eyes of everyone. Being the son of noble was probably the only thing that saved him from being thrown out as a newborn, and this also where had the luxury of learning how to read, write and play violin.

When he came of age he sought to live on his on the road, and had done so although barely for roughly a year before he was found starving by Diego in an almost hapless situation. They have been friends ever since. He accompanies Diego on his quest to write the epic concerning Central Ishtaria's involvement in the war, he actually being the one to be doing all the writing.
