Okay everyone, the IC (http://role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?p=123347#post123347) is up.

Overview
You are a student at Humika High. Today a new game has been released and you've just recently bought it. The game is using a new type of technology that transfers the player's consciousness into the body of an avatar. The developers are calling it Jantiva online.

How it Works- Explanation from the developers

The game works by using a small console unit that transforms your consciousness into bytes of data that can be transferred into an avatar. This is a very safe process.

Even if there were to be any type of power outage, the servers that store your consciousness are hidden in an undisclosed location, with it's own backup power that can last months.

The antivirus system is also very state of the art, nothing can get past it. This means you can play without worrying about anything, you're safe in our hands.


Game setting- Shown on box

This game is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing game) This means you can enter the game world and play with any of your friends that have the game!

The game is set in the land of Jantiva, a medieval like setting with swords and magic. Although it does have a transportation system, trains!

Game Features- Shown on Box

Jantiva has many features, including but not limited to:

1. The ability for your avatar appearance to differ from your Real life appearance

2. The ability to use magic.

3. A realistic world where every action has a consequence.

4. Computer "AI" for NPC's (Not really 100%)

It also has many safety features like stopping your consciousness from full integrating with the avatar meaning:

1. You will feel no pain

2. You will also feel no fatigue (Unless you use a move that consumes Stamina/Mana)

3. Death is not possible

And there are also various safe zones for players, like major cities. Upon entering these zones your equipment will be teleported to a location unreachable to players until they leave the zone.

Faolan: These fiery red animals come from wolves; they are bigger though because their bones need to be three times thicker. These animals run faster than any other in the area, but they are weak from any distance, seeing as only a couple of hits bring it down.

Haldii: These monsters range from six feet long to ten feet long. They’re hard to take down because they approach from underground, you can sense them because when they go to attack, the ground shakes right were they are about to come from. The only way to kill them is to hit them when they surface.
Kaori: These reptilians come from alligators and are very dangerous. They will attack when their area is breached and they can run quite fast. Their sales are very hard to penetrate; with normal weapons it's almost impossible. Magic and enchanted weapons are the only thing that can bring these down.

Xexilia: These come from the bat family and look almost exactly the same, but Xexilia are bigger and they fly faster. They can strip the meat of a human in seconds and while killing one isn't too bad, they attack in swarms and it's impossible to kill them all once they surround you.

Kabira: These monsters are few, but extremely dangerous. They are descended from elephants, but are much bigger; they reach heights that tower over houses and buildings. Their tusks can slice with blinding speed and cut through armor, like it was made of rice paper. Their hide is extremely tough and it takes quite a bit of fire power to pierce. These aren't recommended to kill. Only people in large groups are recommend.

Biography:
David has always be obersted with the next big game, so when he heard about Jantiva he had to have it. Being one of the first to get it he explored all the class and found the best combination for him. Though still not not having a crew, his sailing is limited to the shore and small seas and rivers.

Her dress consists of short skirts in an array of colors along with vest-like matching tops, always having buckles, straps, ribbons or lace corseting. The material either kid leather or a soft cotton. Aside from the hair she also posses in the game a long fleshy tail with a tuff of pink hair its base. Two small horns also protrude near her hairline on her forehead and behind her lips are lower and upper pair of sharp teeth.

Talents: Specialisation in Rapier, First Aid, good scavaging and mending abilities. She can go into a rage, converting all pain dealt to her back to her enemy in damage, without feeling it. However, after the rage ends, the damage she should of sustained is dealt to her body. This ability uses up half her mana.

Talents: Stealth, blending with the environment to avoid detection. Is extremely talented with fist and short weapons, like katars, daggers and short swords. Can find his enemies weaknesses and use them to his advantage. Can create and use various poisons.

*New skill - Assassination: Combining the Stealth skill and the Find Weakness skill the assassin is able to deal a deadly blow from the shadows, dealing massive damage to the target. This attack forces the assassin out of stealth.

Avatar Weapons: Mainly fist weapons like katars, but is able to use daggers and short swords as well.
Avatar misc items: A few vials of poison, health potions, and a book where he writes information on creatures, items and areas.

Biography: Seth has not had an easy childhood. Being orphaned at birth he was sent to a foster family who treated him like dirt for several years. When child services found out he was placed in a different foster home, this time being treated a bit better, but not much. He was never allowed to go out, and the only education, except for being taught how to read, he got frin the books and magazines laying around the house.

When he was 14 he began acting out, getting in to as much trouble as he possibly could, even running away from his foster parents on several occasions. Nothing seemed to work, and he was sent back to the house, being punished severely every time. His time at the house ended when a fall down the stairs broke his back in three places, paralyzing him from the waist down. The doctors found injuries that couldn't be from the fall and reported it to the police. The foster parents were charged and convicted of child abuse, and was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.

Seth was is now being taken care of by one of the doctors that treated him at the hospital, she took him in since nobody else did. Since he can't move his legs anymore, and the doctor has to work most of the time, she decided to buy him the new game Jantiva Online to allow him to once again run with his own two feet and maybe be able to make a few friends. This game is his second chance at a real life.

Biography:

Lisa was always the one to be pushed around because she was too shy and timid to say no. She had very little friends because she wouldn’t talk to anybody for fear they wouldn’t like her. When she heard about Jantiva, she saw it as a chance to show her true personality beneath the shy girl. Since she felt she was a tomboy beneath the surface, as she enjoyed video games more than cell phones or shoes. She created Alek to start to bring herself out, a person that is male but may appear to be female at first appearances.

Name: Suzume Akamine (Akamine Suzume in Japanese order)
Age: 17
Appearance: Suzume is a bit tall, but not gigantically so, though rather slenderly built. She has always been into martial arts, especially spearfighting, being the daughter of the owner of a Hōzōin-ryū dojo, so she always manages to keep in shape, and in fighting condition. Other than that she looks like your typical Japanese teenager. She keeps her hair short, and doesn't really wear anything particularly fashionable or even notably unfashionable. She does, however, have a number of piercings which completely clash with the otherwise normality of her look. Both ears are lined with bar peircings, with each lobe also pierced with an obsidian stud, the right side of her lip is pierced with a ring, and her left nostril has a stud in it.

Whirlwind- Spinning their weapon around their head, the creates a small whirlwind, repelling enemies, as well as causing them minor damage.

Flurry- The lancer thrusts rapidly, hitting their opponent with a vast number of relatively weak strikes.

Spear Throw- The lancer throws their spear with immense force in a straight line. After a brief moment, the spear reappears in the lancer's hand.

Biography: Suzume grew up very clingy to her father, constantly training with him at his dojo and eventually helping him teach classes. She never got along well with her mother, due to her insistence that she grow up to be a proper lady and not waste time with boy's activities like martial arts. Her father, however, encouraged her, seeing potential in her, and enjoying the bonding time he had with his daughter.

Eventually, however, her parents split up, and Suzume's mother got custody of her, and they moved. Now rarely getting to see her father, and being stuck with a mother she despises, Suzume grew very restless and rebellious. Going out without her mother's knowledge one day, and spending all the money she had getting a vast number of piercings. Her mother was horrified when she returned home, and the two got into a vast argument in which her mother forbid her from leaving the house other than to go to school

She grew increasingly aggressive, getting kicked out of a number of schools for starting fights, and forcing her mother to move them both several times. Until finally she ended up in a school where she managed to make a single friend, a younger girl named Caitlin, who she met when she fought off a bully who was picking on the younger girl. She had been recently introduced to a new online game called Jantiva Online, which she began playing constantly as a male lancer character named Obsidian, still not being allowed to leave the house for fun, and she soon convinced Caitlin to play it with her.

Unfortunately, she doesn't exactly have many online friends, either, using it as yet another outlet for her aggression, and gaining a bit of reputation for being a vicious PKer, or Player Killer, a player who hunts down and kills other players for whatever reason, in Suzume's case, the pure enjoyment of it.

A reclusive and obedient student.

Due to her parents constant nagging of how she should be more like her brother who is by far older than her and going off to get a degree in a medical field to be a doctor.

No matter how he approaches her Caitlin stubbornly and sometimes aggressively shuns her older brother because he's a child from her mother's upcoming marriage...her mother's third marriage. First one to include the spouse having a offspring himself.

She was and somewhat still is the constant subject of bullying for some of the more popular girls in the school due to a series of accidents that were far beyond her control. But as of late before it could get any worse each of those girls got a punch or kick to the nose by a girl named Suzume, who didn’t care what anyone thought of that. Much less disrespecting school rules. Caitlin admired Suzume but still kept her wits about the soon very close new friend. Caitlin can’t really understand why Suzume hangs around her. But she thinks Suzume tries hard enough to keep from scaring Caitlin off so the girl can’t be all bad can she? ….so when Suzume brought up a poster about a new online game at first Caitlin was against it saying her parents would never let her…but…

When Caitlin's birthday rolled around her mother was far too busy with her wedding planning, work. …..and taking care of her baby stepsister. So she just Caitlin the money she asked for and got an incredibly expensive Rose Quartz heart necklace. New gadget. And this online game Jantiva.

Caitlin hopes to further ignore the upcoming wedding between her mother and her stepfather that she hates. But has no say in at all.

Talents:
Force Palm- A versitile attack that can be used near or far. Held in the fist or leg it can break 2 kilo boulder in two. Used for a distance attack in a burst or slice can cover a distance of 45 kilometers without dispersing.
Chakra- It is an aura formed in the hands of the user. A healing techinque, which seals the wound and excelerates the natural healing rate of the body applied. The body will be exhausted exponential to the damage on the body.

Meditation-Passive skill

The hours and hours of practice have atuned you to the world around you.
Critical hit rate goes up 5%, Dexerity ( % percent you get hit, and percent they hit you) receives a permanen +1 for every level up from now on. The skill is also retroactive.

Monks have little to no defense and average strength compared to most classes. The rely on Critical hits and evading hits from oponents to survive. With their skill set they are praticily made for handling heavy oponents up close. They are no Archer, but they can handle themselves from a distance also because of their unique first skill Force Palm.

Bio:
Myra is a bit of an enigma. She's never made an effort to make friends, or generally interact with people, and yet she seems quite happy in her own little world. Quite the daydreamer is she, able to follow her own morale compass quite easily without feeling the need to be comfined to rules or regulations. Its not that she's rebeling, and she doesn't do it all the time, but if theres something she needs to do... she does it, only recognizing the consequences she wants. Myra has gotten quite a few detentions for her nature, only attending the ones she wants to attend. Teacher's -in fact, most people - don't quite know how to deal with her. People feel like little they say to her gets truly absorbed into her brain, most things seem to bounce off her. As for grades, she has no continuity. Sometimes right at the top, others right at the bottom - sometimes not even writing anything in tests, her results only seem to reflect her mood and not her skill. Little is known about her home life or family, as she is never seen with them. Myra has been known to walk the streets late at night, often with a small stray cat - only adding to her reputation for being eccentric.

Myra finds her true freedom in the Jantiva, finding it quite easy to express herself. Her character Mirim, like herself, seems to be free of boundaries, rules, or laws, doing what she pleases when she pleases. Mirim is quite the upbeat, somewhat cheeky individual, more outgoing then Myra herself but her eccentricity is still clear for all to see. It is difficult to bealive that Myra and Mirim are the same person somedays, if you managed to ask Myra herself, she would claim that they weren't. Unlike in real life, Mirim interacts quite easily with other people, though friendship wouldn't quite be the term - still, an improvement. It isn't widely known that Myra plays Jantiva (in fact most people wouldn't bealive it, doesn't seem the type of person to be interested in games), and it is rare for Mirim to give out her true name, but then there is little about Myra that is widely known - except for her eccentricity, of course.

Biography:

Lisa was always the one to be pushed around because she was too shy and timid to say no. She had very little friends because she wouldn’t talk to anybody for fear they wouldn’t like her. When she heard about Jantiva, she saw it as a chance to show her true personality beneath the shy girl. Since she felt she was a tomboy beneath the surface, as she enjoyed video games more than cell phones or shoes. She created Alek to start to bring herself out, a person that is male but may appear to be female at first appearances.

Appearance: Suzume is a bit tall, but not gigantically so, though rather slenderly built. She has always been into martial arts, especially spearfighting, being the daughter of the owner of a Hōzōin-ryū dojo, so she always manages to keep in shape, and in fighting condition. Other than that she looks like your typical Japanese teenager. She keeps her hair short, and doesn't really wear anything particularly fashionable or even notably unfashionable. She does, however, have a number of piercings which completely clash with the otherwise normality of her look. Both ears are lined with bar peircings, with each lobe also pierced with an obsidian stud, the right side of her lip is pierced with a ring, and her left nostril has a stud in it.

Flurry- The lancer thrusts rapidly, hitting their opponent with a vast number of relatively weak strikes.

Spear Throw- The lancer throws their spear with immense force in a straight line. After a brief moment, the spear reappears in the lancer's hand.

Biography: Suzume grew up very clingy to her father, constantly training with him at his dojo and eventually helping him teach classes. She never got along well with her mother, due to her insistence that she grow up to be a proper lady and not waste time with boy's activities like martial arts. Her father, however, encouraged her, seeing potential in her, and enjoying the bonding time he had with his daughter.

Eventually, however, her parents split up, and Suzume's mother got custody of her, and they moved. Now rarely getting to see her father, and being stuck with a mother she despises, Suzume grew very restless and rebellious. Going out without her mother's knowledge one day, and spending all the money she had getting a vast number of piercings. Her mother was horrified when she returned home, and the two got into a vast argument in which her mother forbid her from leaving the house other than to go to school

She grew increasingly aggressive, getting kicked out of a number of schools for starting fights, and forcing her mother to move them both several times. Until finally she ended up in a school where she managed to make a single friend, a younger girl named Caitlin, who she met when she fought off a bully who was picking on the younger girl. She had been recently introduced to a new online game called Jantiva Online, which she began playing constantly as a male lancer character named Obsidian, still not being allowed to leave the house for fun, and she soon convinced Caitlin to play it with her.

Unfortunately, she doesn't exactly have many online friends, either, using it as yet another outlet for her aggression, and gaining a bit of reputation for being a vicious PKer, or Player Killer, a player who hunts down and kills other players for whatever reason, in Suzume's case, the pure enjoyment of it.

No matter how he approaches her Caitlin stubbornly and sometimes aggressively shuns her older brother because he's a child from her mother's upcoming marriage...her mother's third marriage. First one to include the spouse having a offspring himself.

She was and somewhat still is the constant subject of bullying for some of the more popular girls in the school due to a series of accidents that were far beyond her control. But as of late before it could get any worse each of those girls got a punch or kick to the nose by a girl named Suzume, who didn’t care what anyone thought of that. Much less disrespecting school rules. Caitlin admired Suzume but still kept her wits about the soon very close new friend. Caitlin can’t really understand why Suzume hangs around her. But she thinks Suzume tries hard enough to keep from scaring Caitlin off so the girl can’t be all bad can she? ….so when Suzume brought up a poster about a new online game at first Caitlin was against it saying her parents would never let her…but…

When Caitlin's birthday rolled around her mother was far too busy with her wedding planning, work. …..and taking care of her baby stepsister. So she just Caitlin the money she asked for and got an incredibly expensive Rose Quartz heart necklace. New gadget. And this online game Jantiva.

Caitlin hopes to further ignore the upcoming wedding between her mother and her stepfather that she hates. But has no say in at all.

Chakra- It is an aura formed in the hands of the user. A healing techinque, which seals the wound and excelerates the natural healing rate of the body applied. The body will be exhausted exponential to the damage on the body.

Meditation-Passive skill

The hours and hours of practice have atuned you to the world around you.
Critical hit rate goes up 5%, Dexerity ( % percent you get hit, and percent they hit you) receives a permanent +1 for every level up from now on. The skill is also retroactive.

Monks have little to no defense and average strength compared to most classes. The rely on Critical hits, speed and evading hits from oponents to survive.
