[Taylor]

Brooke made her way down the grand staircase which opened up to the ballroom her parents had taken the same path only moments before but Brooke walked alone behind them. She was dressed in a deep red gown which was fitted to her tiny frame and then opened up to a full skirt midway down her legs. Brooke's full perfect lips matched the shade of her dress perfectly and her bright blue eyes shined under the chandelier light. Once she had made her way down the stairs Brooke followed her parents as instructed to greet the various necessary people, associates of her fathers, friends of her mother's and other people of their social class. Tonight was a charity auction in support of Autistic children, not that her parents paid much attention to the cause past writing a significant check. Dinner was to follow the auction as was dancing, Brooke could see her night perfectly planned out by her parents in order to present her and themselves in the best light possible, which meant dancing with the right people and socializing with the others. Finally Brooke made it to her table where she would spend only a small portion of the night but she was glad to have a momentary break from the artificially polite greetings which had proceeded her finding her seat.

Kenji drew the white handkerchief from the breast pocket of his white jacket. He wiped a small spot of blood from his cheek as he looked into the bathroom mirror. "Sorry about the mess man," Kenji looked down towards the waited he had knocked and was now laying on the ground.

"What do you think chief? Kenji ran his hand down his torso as if present himself, "don't worry man I'll bring it back." In addition to white jacket Kenji was wearing a black bow tie, with a creme vest, and black slacks and shoes. The only irregularity was his shaggy hair. He Kicked open the bathroom door an picked up the tray with several flutes of champagne and made his way down onto the main floor. As he saw all the people walking around a grin began to curl on the edges of his lips.

He exhaled once to steady himself as he entered the jungle of millionaires.

Brooke looked around her table which was now filled with the usual people, her mother Victoria's best friend Lydia and her daughter Tinsley who Brooke never seemed to get along with. The men were absent at this point, probably having a drink together at the bar despite the fact that they too did not always get along. Additionally at her table was her father Charles' long time colleague Anderson and whatever woman he was with at this point in time. Brooke was well aware that this evening would be far from enjoyable for her as she gave the room a quick sweep to see what invites to dance she would receive, it was obvious that the typical ones would come to ask her but she always hoped for someone knew to attend an event and have the guts to ask her to dance. She only saw Hunter, Parker, Tyler and a few others whom she had grown up with and who she was completely uninterested in romantically. Brooke had developed a talent for hiding her distaste for these men and managed to flirt with them effortlessly.

Shortly after Brooke had taken her seat the opening speeches began by the executives of the foundation, they gave some tear jerking stories meant to entice the guests to donate more generously and they discussed the foundation's history. There was quiet chatter all around her, silent enough to remain polite yet Brooke still found it incredibly rude. By the time the final speech introducing the auctioneer to the stage Brooke was itching to leave her seat but until that point it would have been completely inappropriate. Brooke excused herself quietly as she rose to her feet and began to walk towards the restroom. As she made her way across the room she smiled sweetly at all the people she knew well enough for that to be appropriate and a few stray smiles may have fallen on some servers.

Kenji methodically made his way around the room with the trey of champagne flutes. His eyes were like that of a hawk scanning the room with intent. He jotted down mental notes of which of New York City's rich and the famous were in attendance at the charity. That devilish grin began to creep its way at the corner of his lips but suppressed it and maintained his current mannerisms. Looks like I'll be able to make a decent haul here was the thought that ran it's fingers through Kenji's unkempt hair. He began to go to work. Every now and than a woman in a pompous voice would address him "Garçon!" and with a mask over his irritation he would oblige them. He would take their empty flutes from them with a friendly "Allow me madam" but Kenji was smooth personified. He would distract the ladies by holding eye contact just a bit too long or with a compliment composed of fluff. With the hands of a Vegas card dealer Kenji would make whatever exquisite piece of jewelry that had been gracing their wrist vanish. He was putting on a clinic of disappearing acts and no on knew. Each time he successfully liberated a woman's wrist he was struck with a terrible itch to smile.

After performing this several times over Kenji listened as the auction was about to begin. That's my cue Kenji thought as he began to make his way back towards the bathroom. He moved with a present yet intangible sense of urgency. Kenji was anticipating that someone might notice what he had done. But he steadied himself and remained calm. As he approached the bathroom he noticed a young women dressed in a deep red gown near the bathroom. A hiccup in his plan but one that was not unexpected. What happened next was a completely different story.

Bursting out of the mens bathroom came the waiter Kenji had knocked out previously. Kenji's eyes flung open and his body reacted. With the agility of an attack dog Kenji ran down the hall but time was running out. In seconds the girl approaching would be right there next to the waiter. Like a Olympian Kenji took the circled Trey and hurled it at the waiter hitting his square in the face, the trey smacked the ground and the waiter soon followed. Kenji exhaled as he approached the body and picked it up and tossed it over his shoulder. As he stood straight up there was the girl in front of him.

A frown mocked Kenji as it drew itself on his face and as it finished Kenji uttered one word, "Fuck."

It seemed as though despite the fact that there was a speaker on stage the eyes of the guests were on her perfectly proportioned body in that eye catching gown. Brooke's eyes were no longer on the crowd but simply on her destination yet she could still feel eyes on her. Brooke picked up the pace of her elegant walk in an attempt to get out of the spotlight she did not want at this point.

Brooke finally made her way to the restroom and wanted to simply collapse into the overstuffed and highly ornate chairs which were situated outside the two washrooms but instead she was faced with an incredibly attractive guy in a waiters uniform with another man over his shoulder. Brooke worked to maintain her composure and remain serious in this situation but a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. Brooke seemed to thrive on the excitement that breaking the rules brought her. "What may I ask is going on here?" she said softly with a serious tone though she knew her face defied her.

Brooke's eyes ran up and down the guy who stood before her, from his perfectly messy hair to his stormy grey eyes which complimented his strong face. He was no doubt attractive and also clearly a different breed from the arrogant, aristocratic guys who vied for her attention here tonight. For a moment Brooke's eyes dropped to the trey on the floor which ad little drops of blood on it, it was clear that she was not meant to have stumbled onto this but now that she had he would have to deal with her.

Despite having to sneak into the building, beating up a waiter, and taking his clothing Kenji had remained as calm as humanly possible. Not even during his brilliant mini series of heist had doubt ever crossed his mind. But for the first time he was sweating out of fear. A young teenage socialite no older than seventeen he had guessed was now causing him to freeze up like an an ice cube. In his moment of hesitation he slowly became hyper aware of the girl standing in front of him.

His eye's became fixated on the culprit. Look at her he thought, standing there all smug in her thousand dollar dress. Her features became more and more apparent like a movie slowly coming into focus. He made note of her eyes which were blue but not too blue. Kenji keyed in on her soft lips which could be perfectly camouflaged in her dress. He traced her delicate frame noting what slight cures he could see. She was a girl who would in all honesty would never have to work a day in her life. She was indeed quite lovely. Normally such women repulsed Kenji as he painted them as unreal. Yet, this one was different, something about the way she stood perhaps? No that wasn't it but she was not the typical over indulgent trust fund baby.

It then dawned on Kenji she had not screamed. Kenji eyes became bright as if struck by the thunder god himself. Most people in her would have screamed but she spoke calmly. A delicate thing like her in a dangerous situation like this and she spoke calmly and clearly.

Kenji looked to the guy on his shoulder than back to the girl and cleared his throat, “Hes my boyfriend” he blurted out almost mockingly. A drop of blood escaped the passed out waiters lips, Kenji followed up “He likes it rough.” He grimaced realizing how stupid he sounded. He than tore then male bathroom door open before pulling her in front of him and stuffing her into the room. Kenji followed and slammed the door shut and locking it. Here he was in the mens bathroom with pockets full of stolen jewelry, a half naked man and a young attractive teenager.

He looked towards her as he moved to an open stall, “Make yourself useful!” He emptied the stolen Jewelry from his pocket and a plastic bag. “Put these in there, you can do that right?” Without waiting for a reply Kenji proceeded to frantically stuff the man into the stall.

Brooke saw the man in front of her freeze unexpectedly, she did not imagine she could make him even pause, he seemed to have a mission but here he was, standing still and staring at her. She watched him as his eyes ran down her body and the back up to meet her own, she wanted to smile but she controlled herself. The guy seemed to be getting flustered in front of her and he began to blurt out an excuse that Brooke couldn't help but laugh at. "I love that you honestly think I am that stupid, take a look around that room, do I seem like them?" she said with a slight smirk and a cocky tone.

As the final words left her mouth the guy grabbed her and pulled her into the men's washroom and then followed her in, he handled her quite roughly but she didn't complain. She looked at the guy for a moment before he laid out a ton of jewelry, which was evidently stolen from her friends, and a plastic bag in front of her. He gave her quick instructions expecting her to follow, "so what makes you think that I am going to do this for you" she said calmly as she watched him stuff the man into a stall.

She was fully in control of this situation because both she and he were well aware she could scream right now and have everyone come rushing to find her. At this moment in time though Brooke was uninterested in doing so, she was too intrigued by who this guy was and what his plan was now that he had to deal with her. He moved quite effortlessly as he continued to force the waiter into the stall which made Brooke figure he was well practiced at ripping off people of her class. It was actually a quite brilliant plan if he had the talent for it which he obviously did, he must have fast fingers. Some of the women and these galas went home not even realizing they were missing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. These women were so stupid and would never even miss it, Brooke contemplated on complimenting this guy but she decided to wait to see how he would react to her lack of cooperation.

Kenji glanced over his shoulder and saw that she was not cooperating. He ran his fingers through his hair and tugged at it before letting it go. Kenji let out a painful groan, "Fine be that way!" he exclaimed with much frustration. He than closed the stall to Brooke and began to remove the jacket as well as the dress shirt and bow tie and pants. He than proceed to dressed the knocked out waiter once more. "Told you I'd return the suit chief," he said mockingly before patting the knocked out waiter on the cheek, "sleep tight big guy."

Kenji kicked open the stall door and emerged almost triumphantly with his entire upper body bare to the young woman. His muscular chest rose and fell slightly with each passing breath. He resembled a gladiator fresh from victory. The suit he had once worn had now been replaced a dark grey janitorial jumpsuit with the upper body portion of the jumpsuit tied neatly around his waist. He struggled with the knot which was composed of the arms but eventually he was able to undo it.

Kenji looked towards the young woman and at the Jewelry and bag on the counter. The happy look on his face abandoned him. He walked with an imposing demeanor. He sighed placed his hands on his face pulling his skin down with his fingers before letting go. "Alright fine," He began to stuff the Jewelry into the plastic bag. Once finished he pulled up the rest of the grey jumpsuit and zipped it finally covering his upper body. He looked to the girl "Did that really look so hard?" He hurriedly placed the bag into his jumpsuit and his composure was somewhat regained.

He looked into the bathroom mirror and produced a matching grey trucker cap from his back pocket. "So you haven't screamed," he struggled to revive the hat from its flattened state, "Which means you're either scared shitless," finally the hat cooperated "Or you're intrigued." Kenji paused for a moment as he placed the hat on his head, "my money's on the last one." He looked to Brook from under the brim of his hat, "How do I look?" The sly grin on his face returned.

Brooke smiled as Kenji became frustrated with her, she found it somewhat entertaining that he was so flustered. Brooke hopped up on the counter and crossed her legs like a lady as she stared at the stall door the guy had disappeared behind. She could hear him moving around and she was unsure of what he was doing but once he emerged changed she understood. His entire torso was unclothed and Brooke blushed a little bit but managed to smile through it. He was definitely in shape and it just made him all that more attractive to her, he managed to be the perfect balance where he wasn't too ripped. Brooke bit her lower lip as she looked at him and then she let her eyes move back up to meet his grey ones. He moved beside her to shove the jewelry into the plastic bag he had previously given her and then made a comment about it not being so hard. "I really just didn't feel like aiding you in stealing from them, not that I particularly care about them" she said with a smile. Brooke watched as he placed a hat on his head and listened as he asked her if she was scared or intrigued. "Maybe I am just bored of those people, did you ever think of that?" she asked with a smirk. Brooke looked into his eyes as he asked her how he looked, she simply continued to smirk and him and ask "depends how you think I look" she said softly.

Kenji adjusted the brim of the hat for several moments. Once satisfied he returned his attention to the girl sitting on the counter. "They are a pretty stiff crowd, but those are your people." His eyes took hold of her figure once more sizing her up from her long slender legs to her small but gently curing torso before arriving to her elegant neck and finally those jewel blue eyes.

Finally his lips parted "I'd do you," he quipped. He smirked at her not with his mouth but with his eyes.He began to shift back and fourth in the jumpsuit before it conformed to his body and became much more snug. Satisfied with his outfit he than turned and opened another stall and from it he produced a cart with two trash cans on it.

He looked to her, "Now comes the best part of this." He took the Jewelry out of the jumpsuit and tossed it into one of the trash cans. Kenji opened the door to the bathroom. Going down the hall was a procession of similarly dressed cleaning men. At the end of the hall was a police officer who was frisking each of the men. Kenji exhaled and nodded to himself before he looked to Brook, "So doll-face you got a name?"

"They are my parent's people, and the people who should be my people, but don't be mistaken, they are not my people" Brooke said confidently to him, her eyes shining in the dull florescent light. "What makes you think you can talk to me like that" she said jokingly in response to his overly crude and aggressive comment. She liked the look that came across his face specifically in his eyes, it was almost as if he was testing her, enticing her to challenge him or to take a risk. Brooke watched as he brought out the cart from another stall "you are so brilliant" she said sarcastically but in all honesty she was quite impressed with him.

Brooke leaned forward on the counter to look at the procession of men who were dressed identical to the guy in front of her and pushing identical garbage cans. His plan would get him past the frisk by the policeman, that was for sure, he must have had a lot of experience. "mm question is if I feel like giving you my name, what will I get in return love?" she asked with a sweet smile which she knew could charm almost anyone. She loved to challenge this guy and he seemed to like to play her little game as well. It was true that she was intrigued by him, she could easily go out back into the room and dance with the same old guys and have the same conversations with them about the same things but she wanted him.

Kenji nodded in approval of her response "Not your people huh?" He cleared his throat, "I'd buy that" he chuckled lightly to himself. Who was this girl he though to himself. Throughout the entire ordeal she had remained calm and confident. There was something definitely different about her, though he couldn't put his finger on it just quite yet. But that was of no matter their short time together would be over soon. "I say what I want, do what I want, whenever I want, which is ironic because although you have more money than I do, I doubt you've tasted the freedom I have."

He rapped his fingers across the handle of the cart somewhat inpatiently. "If you think this is brilliant you haven't seen anything yet." He grinned at the cleaning crew and nodded his head once more.
She had peaked his interest though which is why he wanted to know her name. "Tell you what, you give me your name, you get mine, he parted his lips ever so slightly to tease her "and-" he stopped once more ,"maybe a chance to end your boredom."

She liked that this guy was clearly interested in her, she was so used to guys like him either gawking over her or resenting her but he seemed to be doing neither. She loved the failure of his attempted indifference to her, it was so evident that he wanted to know more about her. "That is most likely true, I never said I enjoy the position in life I was given, other then them paying for my school and my clothes I could not be more unhappy" she said in an honest tone.

Brooke leaned forward and looked at him, there was a wild look in her big blue eyes that seemed to be able to change from innocent to devilish in an instant. She wanted him to show her his world, in fact she didn't just want it she needed him to show her. Brooke smiled at him, her soft, full, red lips parting to show perfectly white teeth "Brooke" she said slowly, her eyes locked on his. "Your turn" she said in an almost seductive voice, she was sure she had caught him and would get his name in return and whatever else she wanted.

Kenji placed the tip of his thumb in his mouth and bit on the tip of the thumbnail and spit into the sink before blowing on this thumb. He balled his hand into a fist and cracked several of the knuckles. He eyed her as he leaned on the handle of the cart "Brooke huh?" he said nonchalantly. The cart rocked back and fourth ever so slightly as he turned back around to face the cart and the open bathroom door, "Kenji," his voice carried a trace of anxiety and he cleared his throat once more.


"Brooke, if tomorrow morning between nine and ten and you're still bored," He paused as the end of the line of cleaning men was soon approaching, "If you're bored come down to the police station." He glanced back at her over his shoulder and gave her a sly smile. With that he exited the bathroom and rolled the cart down the hallway. As he got to the police officer he pointed to the bag of Jewelry in the can. Immediately he was knocked down and arrested. He showed no resistance which was strange as he had proven to be skilled with his hands. As he was cuffed and escorted towards the front door he looked down the hallway and and winked at Brooke.

Brooke watched as this guy did two of the things she hated the most, biting his nails and cracking his knuckles yet somehow she was still attracted to him. She bit her lower lip absentmindedly as she stared at him, he repeated her name in a questioning tone and then turned away from her. As he moved towards the door to the bathroom she got his name, interesting just like him, it was quite different.

As he parted with her he left her with one other piece of information, be at the police station tomorrow, this was not an if you are bored question as she knew she would be so she took note. As she slipped off the counter to the washroom and walked towards the door she smiled to herself. She peeked out the door and watched him as he made his way down the like to the officer and then he very obviously showed the officer what he was leaving with. Within seconds he was in handcuffs which he didn't seem to resist and being taken away, she could swear that as he left he winked at her but somehow she thought she was simply imagining it.

Brooke sneaked out of the washroom after all the men were gone and made her way back to her table. She slipped into her seat as they were midway through the live auction and this time she didn't notice any eyes on her but there was a radiant smile on her face as she got polite questions as to whether or not she was feeling okay. The evening dragged on but her mind was somewhere else as she danced with the men and gossiped with the women and when the night was over she made her way home in a limo separate from her parents. Alone in the back she looked quite glamorous but she could care less she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep with her mind racing and her heart pounding in time with the insane honking of Manhattan traffic.

Kenji sat in one of the interrogation rooms with a very confused detective sitting across the table from him. "You could have made it out of there with one hundred thousand dollars worth of jewelry, why did you give yourself away?" Kenji's smile was as wide as a slice of watermelon. "Get me my lawyer." Was all Kenji said. The detective left the room and Kenji sat there thinking about how smoothly his plan was going. He than thought about the one hiccup of the evening "Brooke," he said quietly to himself. The detective returned with a Lawyer, Kenji looked up at him from the chair, "did you bring your phone? we've got a lot of calls to make" said Kenji.



It was morning now, Kenji looked over to the clock it read nine. Shaking hands with a man in a rather expensive business suit Kenji accepted a briefcase from him in one hand "pleasure doing business with you." The man growled and inaudibly muttered several curses. Kenji Handcuffed the handle of the suitcase to his wrist and rolled the sleeve of his grey jumpsuit over it. He stepped outside and triumphantly walked down the steps of the NYC police station. He looked around to see where Brook was hiding, he knew she would be there somewhere.

Brooke spent the night curled up in bed not sleeping but thinking, she thought about all the crazy things that had happened last night and about what she was going to do tomorrow. When she had 'woken up' which wasn't much of a wake up considering she hadn't slept she slipped out of bed and walked over to her closet, her giant walk in closet, she stared at her clothes for a while deciding what to wear. Ultimately she decided on jeans and a fitted sweater, she undressed and then dressed standing in front of her full length mirror as always. After dressing she moved to her washroom to finish getting ready. One final check in the mirror and Brooke walked out of her bedroom, through her penthouse and down in the elevator. She mentioned to her doorman to not in form her parents that she was gone so early and then headed out. It was 8 30 and she was on her way to the police station.

Once Brooke was at the police station she chose to wait outside rather than making her way into the building. She chose a bench to sit down on and took out her book, she sat and read while sipping her coffee and waiting for this guy who seemed to have so quickly taken hold of her. After 10 minutes or so Brooke looked up and there he was in front of her, she put her book down and smiled up at him. Her bright blue eyes were catching the sunlight which made them even more radiant and her fair skin of her cheeks had a natural blush from the cold wind which ripped through the city on a sunny fall day like this. "Hello" she said softly.

Placing a finger between the pages of her book and pushing it down Kenji grinned devilishly. "Must be my lucky day, one million dollars and a pretty little thing like you," he nodded to himself and raised his eye brows, "Not a bad way to start the day at all." Kenji was completely indulged in himself as he drew a deep breath exhaled excitedly. Kenji took her hand and energetically picked her up off the bench. "Come on princess, you had breakfast yet?" the two of them started walking down the block and and he began looking around until he found a McDonald's sign "There we go."

As they approached the restaurant he began to explain what happened. "The jewelry wasn't what I was after." He pointed to the briefcase, "to make a long story short, I blackmailed all those rich people, told them how embarrassing it would be if the world found out they had all been robbed." He sneezed, "fall allergies" he mumbled before returning to his explanation, "The one thing your parents people prize more than their bank accounts is their pride and reputations, basically they had to pay me to leave prison" His fingers rapped against the briefcase he was holding.

The two of them stepped into the fast food joint. It stunk of grease and cheap body spray. He looked down at her into her blue eyes finding it hard to look away he blurting out "You have eaten at McDonalds before right?" he said condescendingly.

Brooke smiled up at Kenji "must be indeed" she said with a hint of sarcasm in her tone, she was dying to ask how he managed to be a million dollars richer and how he knew he would be out by now but she wasn't one to ask questions. Brooke let him lift her off the bench by taking her hand and shook her head no in response to his question. Truth was Brooke wasn't very hungry but she would eat simply to get to know a little more about this guy who was so mysterious to her. Kenji lead her to a nearby McDonald's evidently hoping to evoke a reaction which would be typical of someone of her class but she had nothing against the place. It was grossly unhealthy but everyone was entitled to binge every so often and the greasy smell wafting through the doorway each time it was opened and closed drew her in.

Kenji began to tell her his entire plan which he seemed to have executed perfectly because here he was, with her and 1 million dollars in a briefcase. It was quite brilliant as expected and demonstrated his knowledge of 'her parents people', Brooke had no doubt that her initial assumptions held true and he had been at this a while. "You are so brilliant" she said in an incredibly sarcastic tone despite the fact that she truly believed what she was saying.

Walking into the McDonald's Brooke was hit even harder with the greasy smell that she had smelled outside. Then, Kenji asked a completely expected question but somehow it bothered her "of course I have" she said, shoving him a bit as the walked towards the cash. Brooke ran her fingers through her hair as they waited in the fairly long line to order their breakfast. "So you are a million dollars richer than last night and you can't manage to treat the princess like a princess?" she asked jokingly as she quite honestly rather be here then at some fancy restaurant. She loved to eat out at the trendiest restaurants in town but sometimes she just got so sick of them and wanted to just hangout somewhere she could relax and not worry about being seen.

The line moved forward and so Kenji and Brooke had but one person standing between them an the cash register. He surveyed the room and looked back down to Brooke. She had an aura about her that was different from the common every day people who frequented this establishment, Kenji himself included. Why had he brought her with him though he asked himself for a moment. He remembered, because she was also different from those rich people as well. He was mildly surprised when she had not objected to his choice of restaurant but she had much father to go before she really impressed him.

"The princess" he said mockingly, "I knew you had to have some conceit in you" he grinned. "This money, although I will be spending a good amount of it, most of it is going towards my business." The two of them pressed forward and were now at the front of the line. The greasy air seemed much thicker here for some odd reason. "Give me one of" Kenji paused and chucked to himself for a minute "One of everything" he continued to laugh. He than slipped open the briefcase and pulled out a small stack of one hundred dollar bills and handed one of the bills to the cashier "Keep the change," he said as he looked down to brook "Oh and whatever the brat here wants too," he teased.

Brooke glanced at the acne ridden teenager behind the cash who was taking the person in front them's order. Brooke moved her gaze back to Kenji who was also glancing around the room, after a moment their eyes met as he looked back down at her and then she looked away. She moved her eyes towards the back of the person in front of them in line and patiently waited for their turn. As she stood silently Brooke tried to decide what she should order and finally settled on a classic egg McMuffin with bacon. At that it was their turn and she stepped forward to the counter which seemed to have a layer of grease on it to match every other surface in the place.

"Of course I am a princess and completely full of myself love" she said with a little smirk on her face and an overly sarcastic tone in her voice. Brooke was impressed by Kenji's ambition and finally chose to ask him a question "what is the brilliant business" she said with a little bit of sarcasm but she was truly intrigued. Brooke waited for Kenji to order and was taken slightly aback at his ridiculous order, what a waste of food. Brooke paused before ordering her egg McMuffin and then addressed his rude comment. It was clearly just him teasing her but she wanted to play along "brat? If I am such a brat why may I ask are you spending your day with me?" she said with a sweet smile.

[Sousuke]

"completely full of yourself?" Kenji repeated, "I've no doubt about that he snickered. He took the receipt from the cashier and pulled Brooke to the side to where their order would be produced for them in a few minutes. He stood there with a satisfied look on his face before then turning his attention to Brook once more.

"You see miss Brook, aside from ripping off rich folks, I work as a, excuse the over dramatic title," he inserted an necessary pause "loan shark." He chuckled for a minute, "You could say I'm a lot like Robbin Hood, except I expect interest."


Their massive order was ready, Kenji took a single egg McMuffin from the two treys with everything on them and instructed the worked to bag everything else to go.

"Better to hang out with a brat than a boring wallflower, even you can agree with that Miss Brook." He handed her the Egg McMuffin and said, "come on let's get out of here, the smells starting to make me sick." The two of them exited the building with Kenji holding several bags stuffed with McDonalds breakfast food under one arm. As they walked down the streets they began to encounter homeless people. Kenji walked up to each of them and handed them a bag of the food. He looked over to Brook as he did.

Brooke smiled at him and then bit her lower lip as they waited for their order "have I not got reason to be?" she asked jokingly before moving her gaze to the workers behind the counter preparing their food. Kenji then began to tell her about what he actually did for a living and she listened quietly, at this point her eyes were still avoiding him. "Robin hood? I doubt that" she said while still not looking at him. After a minute or so more their massive amount of food was ready and she just stared at it, it made her sick how much food there was. When Kenji handed her a an egg McMuffin Brooke felt even sicker but she still took it.

"Oh I see, so I am just your best option" she said in a falsely hurt voice as she finally looked at him with sad eyes. Brooke began to follow Kenji out of the McDonalds, silently nodding in agreement to the feeling sick comment. She continued to walk with Kenji down the street wondering what he planned to do with all the food, but her question was soon answered. He was beyond sweet, so unexpectedly sweet, he was handing all this food out to those who needed it. It seemed so different to her than the millions of dollars her family gave to charities only to be recognized by the press and philanthropists. Brooke was dead silent, she just handed her food to one of the people they passed and continued to walk with him as he continued to hand out the food.

"Still doubt I'm like Robbin hood?" he laughed as he handed the last of the food to a boy no older than twelve years old. As he patted the kid on the head Kenji watched as Brooke handed her food to a homeless person as well, "Well, so the princess has a heart after all." He rewarded her by smiling handsomely at her.

"And to answer your earlier question, yeah you are my best option, but I don't think there's a lot of people who could best you now could they?" he admitted, "So don't give me those puppy eyes," he joked The two of them continued to walk, Kenji glanced back at the group of homeless people now enjoying some food, "I used to be just like that little boy," he said with a hint of nostalgia.

Kenji than looked down at his cloths, he was still dressed in the same grey jumpsuit from the night before. He then looked to Brooke, "Say your an expert in fancy clothing, make yourself useful and help me out, unlike last night with the jewelry." He hailed a taxi on the side of the road and opened the door for Brooke, "Tell him where to go." Kenji claimed into the cab after Brooke.

[Taylor]

"fine, you are robin hood, happy?" she asked with a cute smile on her face, then he commented on her giving out her food "did you ever doubt that I did?" she said softly. She loved his smile, it was so different from the rehearsed smiles of the people she knew, it was genuine like she had actually made him happy and the smile just needed to come out.

She like the way he complimented her, it was in a sarcastic but almost loving way "no, no one can best me hun" she said with a big smile. She ran her fingers through her hair "but my puppy dog eyes are amazing" she said jokingly as they continued to walk. She felt a pang of pain run through her heart as Kenji made reference to his past, she felt so bad for that little boy. It had never seemed fair to her how she had everything and some had nothing, that is what truly separated her from her parents who looked down on the homeless.

"I am quite the expert in clothing, it is my specialty" she said with a smile, it was true, this was her true passion, not that her parents would let her pursue it. Brooke got into the taxi and told the driver where to go "Greene St. SoHo please" she said sweetly. Brooke then looked to Kenji, "do you trust me love? I do have very good taste". Brooke then leaned her head on his shoulder, "you are comfy" she said softly.

Kenji bounced up and down in the seat of the Cab as he listened to Brooke present her qualifications. He sensed a certain passion in her voice when she began to talk about clothing. It was refreshing for him to know that she did have some ambitions other than sitting around enjoying a trust fun doing what ever she pleased. He nodded his head in approval as she said that clothing was her specialty. "Greene st." repeated, he had walked that street numerous times but he had never entered one of the department stores there. He wasn't sure he would even bet allowed in seeing as most of the times he was dressed up as a typical street thug.

"Do you trust me love?" she asked him, "Not as far as I could throw you." he teased her, "but you're getting a chance to earn it," he said reassuringly. Kenji felt a weight on his shoulder and looked down to see Brookes head nesting on his shoulder. She really is looking for an escape he thought to himself. he soon found himself admiring her luscious hair and the sweet sound of her voice was enough to make most men beg. Most guys would give their right arm to be in the same room with a girl that looked like she did "Don't get too comfortable, we're almost there."

[Taylor]

Brooke's favorite area to shop was SoHo she loved all the little boutiques more than anything, she like all of the one of a kind clothes which fit with her unique style. She was excited to show him a little part of her, she really did plan to try and pursue it once she got out from under her parents shadow and she intended to do it on her own without any help from her parents connections. If she was going to make it in the industry she felt she better damn well earn her way into it.

"Well I plan to earn you trust" she said softly as she continued to rest her head on him, the truth was he was truly incredibly comfortable but she would also do anything to be close to him. She was strangely attracted to this guy and she couldn't help but flirt with him shamelessly. She seemed so concerned that he was grouping her with all the other socialites in the city and she despised the idea of being seen like them. She felt so different then them and she hoped he would see that, she was well aware he would never spend time with one of those people. "I know where we are, this is my favorite area" she said softly.

The truth was they were very close and after another minute the cab stopped and they got out after Kenji paid the guy, tipping generously. Brooke began to lead him up the street towards one of her favorite boutiques that carried both men's and women's. As they walked in Brooke was greeted warmly by the store manager who knew her quite well. The woman eyed Kenji up and down but accepted him simply because he was with Brooke, "what are you looking for?" she asked him sweetly.

Kenji handed the cab driver a one hundred dollar bill from the suit case commenting on the crisp dollar he told the driver, "New bills, ain't to many of them in this town though." The taxi driver was astounded and thanked Kenji, "Don't mention it man," said Kenji as he followed Brooke out of the cab. he looked up and down the street, the crowd here was definitely different from the places Kenji Normally hung out in. Even the air was different, he didn't like it one bit. He despised everyone there without even speaking to them. He knew who they were. People who were consumed by greed and ego, he hated them with a burning passion. Yet here he was hanging out with one of their daughters. Except she wasn't really like them.

He wanted to try and find out exactly why he felt that about this little socialite. Which is why he was providing her with an opportunity to show him around. The two of them entered the building and Kenji let Brooke do the talking. When he was being eyed by the manager Kenji opened up the briefcase and produced a small stack of hundred dollar bills, "The most basass suit this can buy." He said bluntly giving the manager a mean look only one from the streets could ever produce. He looked down to Brooke and smiled "After you Brooke."

[Taylor]

"okay suits it is" she said with a smile, though her specialty was not exactly men's fashion her good taste could translate easily to anything. Brooke lead Kenji through the store towards the back where they kept the suits, she began to run her fingers over each one. Every time she saw one she liked she would pull it out and hand it to the woman who stood behind her to take them to the fitting room. Brooke pulled about 5 suits which ranged from a deep charcoal with a incredibly faint cream pinstripe to a black suit with a pale grey trim. Brooke was quite pleased with her choices and then looked back at Kenji, "try them on?" she asked sweetly.

Brooke walked to the couch which was situated directly outside the fitting rooms and sat down, beside her was a full length mirror which would show Kenji every part of each suit he tried on. Brooke glanced over to the women's clothing but told herself that this was not a shopping trip for her and she should focus on the task at hand. She sat and waited silently for Kenji to come out in the first suit.

Kenji watched as Brooke selected suits from the rack for him. He felt somewhat uneasy being in that store but thought that if Brooke was comfortable here why shouldn't he be. He watched her carefully, the confidence she displayed but at the same time she seemed to be thinking about what he would like not just what she saw everyday. "Sure thing give me a minute" He Than took the suits from the woman and headed towards the changing room.

Eventually he came out, he was wearing the cream pinstriped suit, "what do you think dollface?" he asked her in a serious tone as he did not know what he was doing.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled as Kenji walked out of the changeroom, damn he looked good, "you put on my favorite one first love" she said softly. She stood up and walked towards him, she gently fixed the cream shirt she had him try on under the suit and then the jacket which fit him so perfectly. She looked into his eyes with her bright blue ones which were lit up from the excitement of succeeding, she then broke her gaze and moved her hands up to fix his hair "you look good" she whispered to him, so intimately that only he could hear her. Then she moved away from him and smiled sweetly, "don't try the rest on".

Kenji looked at himself in the mirror an nodded at Brooke's comments. "you're favorite one huh?" He looked into the mirror once more, "I gotta admit, you know what your doing Brooke." When she reached up with her hands to fix his hair he was taken by surprised. He gazed down at her and caught a view of her cleavage. When she whispered to him he swallowed to himself and thought how seductive she was. She really was quite beautiful. He the nodded as she instructed him to leave the suit on. He smiled back at her, "I trust your ability to pick out a good suit." He said but this was only half the truth as he was testing her. He now knew that she had the capacity to think of others, as well as ambition.

[Taylor]

She nodded at him as he complimented her ability to pick out a suit she loved the little smile he gave her, it made her believe he truly meant what he was saying. "You are not better dressed than I am" she said half jokingly she bit her lower lip as she looked up at him. "Want to go?" she asked softly, she was working very hard to ignore the staff who were staring at her intimate little moment with Kenji. She was beyond sick of her name on page six and this little moment was guaranteed to land her there but he seemed to be worth it. She pulled even further away from him and turned to look at the manager and staff "thank you guys" she said sweetly before she slipped her hand into Kenji's "let's go" she said, more demanding this time.

Kenji felt somewhat strange sharing the intimate moment with Brooke. Not because of her but because of all the people watching them. Was she doing this just to tick them off or dis she not care about what they thought. Either way she was doing something they would disapprove of and that made him smile on the inside. He reassuringly took her hand in his and tossed the small stack of hundreds in the managers face, it landed with an audible thud. As he followed Brooke while holding her hand he couldn't help but notice how soft her skin was. Soon he found his eyes looking her backside up an down, "Not bad," he blurted out loud, "You pick what we do next" he said in a genuinely kind tone.

[Taylor]

Standing out on the street Brooke somehow felt much calmer despite the fact that everyone on the street could still see them. It wasn't so much that she cared what any of them thought, because she really didn't it was just that she didn't like everyone staring. "I am awful and deciding what to do, can you decide love?" she asked softly, giving him her puppy dog eyes in hopes of convincing him to choose. "also, not bad what?" she asked curiously, she was not one to let a comment like that slip by without questioning, she refused to make this that easy for him. They fingers were still intertwined and it felt right, she liked the way his hands felt holding hers, strong and rough so unlike any other guy she knew.

In one hand was a briefcase full of money which was handcuffed to him, in the other was the hand of pretty, young, uptown socialite. For some reason the hand holding the girls seemed to squeeze tighter, although his knuckles on the briefcase were white. He looked around and nodded to himself for several seconds, "alright, how about we do something stupid now?" he asked with a sly grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. Kenji looked down at Brooke then to each of his hands, "Hail us a cab would you doll?" As they stood there waiting for the cab he realized she would continue to press him about his comment earlier, shrugging his shoulders he gave in, "Not a bad view" he said as he winked with a devilishly handsome grin.

[Taylor]

Brooke loved the way he said that 'let's do something stupid' it summed up everything she liked in a guy in a single sentence, that what the hell attitude. The way in which Kenji asked her to hail them a cab simply because he didn't want to let go of her hand made her smile so wide. Brooke moved towards the edge of the street and put her arm up, in a moment 3 cabs had stopped and Brooke let out a little giggle before picking one to step into. Brooke smirked as Kenji explained his previous comment "you should take advantage of it hun, who knows how long you will have it for" she said softly. His grin made Brooke's heart skip a few beats but she somehow managed to not allow that to show on her face, she had no intentions of showing him how all the little things he did made her want him. "So tell me this brilliant plan to do something stupid" she asked in a light tone as she glanced down at their hands which still had their fingers intertwined.

[Sousuke]

He rolled his eyes around in a comical fashion before letting them settle on Brooke, "Tell me Brooke, have you ever wanted to get back at your parents?" he said sarcastically, of course she did, what teenager didn't. Most of them dreamed for an opportunity to get back at those who raised them. "Cab driver, take us to the nearest hardware store." Said Kenji with their hands still intertwined, her hand was delicate but firm. He could tell from holding her hand that she was dedicated to whatever they were going to do. She was, for lack of a better word, ballsy. "Brooke, your parents have their fingers in all sorts of pies, which one of these big corporate buildings have they invested a lot of money in?"

The cab had pulled onto the curb. "Wait here and think about it for a minute or two." Kenji let go of her hand and ran into the store. One minute passed, then two, then three. Finally he came out of the store with a plastic bag that clanged every time he took a step. Kenji then instructed the cab drive to head back into the heart of the city. He then placed his hand in Brookes, "Miss me?"

[Taylor]

"Don't roll your eyes" she said in a joking tone, "Of course, you know what my parents are like and I am so unlike them" she said softly, she had sensed he didn't need an answer but she provided it anyways. Brooke was confused when Kenji asked the driver to take them to the nearest hardware store but she figured it was part of the whole doing something stupid plan. Brooke began to think about Kenji's question, she was unsure which ones they had invested in though she was sure he had heard some mentioned in conversations her father had on the phone while they were supposed to be having family time.

Brooke released Kenji's hand as he left the cab to go into the store, she continued to think about which buildings she could tell Kenji. After a moment Brooke remembered her father mentioning buying out the building next to the building where they lived in the penthouse. It was a huge glass skyscraper with quite interesting architecture which housed office buildings she assumed. Once Kenji reentered the cab and slipped her hand back with hers she smiled, she had missed the warm roughness of his hand. "Of course" she said very sarcastically "the building beside mine, my father just bought it" she said softly, looking at him somewhat innocently, unsure of what he planned to do or what what in the clanking bag.

[Sousuke]

Kenji spoke to the cab driver, "You heard the lady, step on it man." He looked down to their intertwined hands and grinned, "So earlier you said I should take advantage of it." He pulled at her hand so her body jerked towards him and her face was now against his muscular chest. even through the suit she had picked out for him she could still feel his muscles. He looked down towards her and smirked, "Is this going too fast?" he said playfully mocking her.

The plastic bag clanked as the taxi drove on through the streets of New York City. But Kenji couldn't hear the noises of the plastic bag, nor the louse cab radio which would frequently cut out, he ignored the honking and the other sounds of the city, right now he was focused on Brooke, offering her a dreamy stare with his deep grey eyes.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled up at Kenji as he pulled her against his chest, she placed her hand gently on his chest and pushed away and up slightly. There faces were now very close and her eyes were on his "no" she whispered sweetly to him. Brooke wanted him to kiss her badly but she was not one to initiate it, he would have to.

Kenji's grey eyes were staring into hers, it was rare she met someone with eyes that competed with hers but his did. His eyes seemed to tell her everything she needed to know about him, about his past, about who he was now, and about where he wanted to be going. They were quite incredible and she was absolutely lost in them, here she was, the number one socialite in the city, sitting in the back of a cab with some guy, desperately wanting him to lean forward the couple of inches and kiss her.

[Sousuke]

Kenji sat there for a moment soaking the moment in. As the cab drove down the road beams of sunlight would hit them each time the cab passed in between the gigantic skyscrapers. The light would gently touch Brookes face and give life to her already bright soft blue eyes. It would be easy for a man to get lost in them, and Kenji supposed it did happen quite often. They were gentle eyes that longed for more than the world she had been trapped in for her entire life.

It was because of that fact that made her eyes beautiful to Kenji. With her hand desperately pawing at his chest the expression on his face turned soft which only served to accentuate his handsome sharp features. He eye her soft lips as the glistened with the passing of rays of sunlight, they were temping him, calling him. And for a moment he edged his face closer to hers. But the cab stopped which caused Kenji and Brooke to bounce back and fourth. "We're here chief." Said the cab driver and Kenji laughed and pressed a finger to her lips, "you really want to have our first kiss with this guy watching?" He slipped the cab driver a one hundred dollar bill "Thanks man." Kenji claimed out of the cab still holding hands with Brooke. He sized up the building and swallowed, "your dad bought this place, holy shit you guys are loaded."


Kenji pulled her into the alley adjoined to the side of the building, he opened up the bag, and handed her a white cloth, "Fold it open and put it on, it's a painters jumpsuit." He then produced another one and began to fold it open and put it on. It was Similar to the grey jumpsuit he had been wearing earlier. He then handed her a painters mask and a small white hat. "Put these on two, we can't let your dads people know you're here."

Kenji continued to dress himself and held the plastic bag close to him, it continued to clang and he chuckled each time it did, "This is gonna be fuckin funny."

[Taylor]

Brooke and Kenji sat like that for a long moment, they were so close and she could feel the warmth of his body against her palm. Kenji's face was soft in a way she had yet to see it, the way then sun would strike it at random intervals made him almost seem angelic but then the image of that smile of his would creep into her mind. The smile that said I will never play by the rules and that makes me love life, the smile that said I want you but I am going to play for just a little bit longer with you, the smile that made him so devilishly handsome to her.

Brooke giggled a little as the bumped around in the cab and than her smile grew bright at Kenji's comment about where they would have their first kiss. The light pressing of his finger to her soft lips made her realize how much she really did want him to kiss her despite where they were and who was watching. Brooke smiled at him "maybe I do" but she let him lead her out of the cab, the look on Kenji's face made Brooke lose her smile. She hated when people talked about how well off her family was, she hated being classified by it, "guess so" she said softly.

Brooke looked at the jumpsuit for a moment and then began to put it on over her clothes, she continued to dress herself in the other accessories he handed her. "Don't you love a girl who doesn't care what she looks like?" she said jokingly with a cute smile, she was quick to let the bad feeling of him classifying her go. "I wouldn't know since you haven't told me what we're doing" she said with a cute smile.

[Sousuke]

Kenji looked to Brooke as she finished putting on the jumpsuit, "It's attractive when a girl doesn't care because she knows she can pull anything off." he looked her up and down, "just like that." Kenji chuckled. he walked over to her shook the plastic bag in front of her letting it clang, "You'll see soon enough, I promise."

The two of them entered the buildings lobby and Kenji looked at the buildings directory. He ran his finger down the list before settling on a name, "Brooke this is your dads office here right?" Kenji then walked over to the receptionist and asked if he was in, the receptionist shook her head no and Kenji smiled, "Perfect, you see I'm here to do some slight remodeling," Kenji pulled out a thousand dollars from the briefcase and slid it across the table to the receptionist, "Think you, could give me the Key to the office and by the way miss, you never saw me."


The receptionist hesitated for a moment before reaching out and grabbing the money and leaving a key in its place, "Of course sir, have a nice day" she said. Kenji walked over to Brooke and jingled the keys, "Okay lets go to the elevator." The two of them entered one and as other people tried to follow behind them Kenji shook his head, "We're actually with maintenance, you folks will have to wait for the next one." Kenji then hit the button for the top floor and held the close door button to ensure that the elevator would take them straight to their destination. "Brooke check this out," he opened the bag in front of her allowing her to see its contents for the first time, there were three cans of spray paint, pink, black, and grey, Kenji raised and eye brown and grinned at her, "Figured it out yet?"

[Taylor]

"I cannot" Brooke said smiling and blushing from his compliment, as he stepped toward her and clanged the bag "but I want to know now" she whined jokingly. Brooke nodded at Kenji as he pointed towards her father's name on the directory. She followed Kenji towards the reception but stopped a little bit away, still worried about being seen and recognized by her. Brooke watched silently and in a sort of shock as he bribed his way into getting her father's office's key.

Brooke smiled at Kenji, "impressive love" she said softly before following Kenji towards the elevator and watched still in awe and he convinced the crowd of people not to enter the elevator with them. Brooke smiled at Kenji showed her the contents of his bag which she had been wondering about the entire time, "I have no idea" she said sweetly "but I have a feeling I will like your plan" she finished. She continued to look down at the bag and then moved her blue eyes to look up at him, "Thank you" she said incredibly softly before looking away.

[Sousuke]

Kenji smiled down at Brooke as the elevator stopped and the two of the bounced up and down for a moment before the doors finally opened. At the end of the furnished oak hallway was a single door. Kenji eagerly ran over to it and unlocked it and kicked the door open. It was a nice office Filled with the random nicknacks one might expect to find in the office of a Millionaire executive. "Brook, we're going to spray paint your fathers office." He walked over and spotted a large bottle of whiskey on the table. He walked over and poured himself a glass and sipped on it. "I gotta admit, your old man does have good taste." He offered the alcohol to Brooke and began to shake up the grey can of spray paint. "It's your dads office Brooke, start us off." He tossed her the can full of pink paint, "Or do you prefer black?"

[Taylor]

Brooke ran after Kenji, she too was excited about this and a little nervous, she knew how badly her father would react. Brooke had been in his office several times but it had been a while since the last time, she had to admit he played the role of loving father and husband well, he had pictures of her and the family all over the office to go along with a few of the things which made her resent him. One of those included the ashtray full of ashes because of his awful smoking habit which she despised. She could remember as far back as 5 years old begging him to quit smoking but he just didn't seem to love her enough to have the will power. Brooke pushed this out of her mind as Kenji handed her a bottle of spray paint and explained to her what he had planned. "Pink works" she said softly but a smile was stuck on her face as if it had been painted there, she loved his plan and she needed this so badly. Brooke shook the bottle and then went to his desk, across the giant, antique wood desk she wrote 'fuck you and all your bullshit ideals', "sums up how I feel nicely don't you think?" she asked Kenji.

[Sousuke]

Kenji turned around from his paintings and looked on the desk to see what Brooke had sprayed, "Wow, you're not bad with a spray can, most people can't do letters to save their lives." He chuckled as he mouthed the message to himself, "Not bad at all, do more though, go spray his golf clubs or that little statue of the elephant." Kenji continued to spray the wall with grey paint and chuckled, "Look Brooke," Kenji pointed to what he had painted on the wall. It had been painted across the entire width of the wall, it was a giant penis with the word "Dick" painted beneath it in a legible graffiti styled font. "What do you think?" he asked her as he began to laugh wickedly.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled, "years of art classes" she said smiling triumphantly at her work she moved around the room, she knew exactly what her father cared about the most. He had a box of pens sitting open on his desk, in seconds they were completely pink, them together were probably worth more than most things in the office. They had also all been given to him after he had signed big important deals, it was a sort of tradition. Brooke then moved on to his shelf of awards which also were pink withing seconds. Brooke looked over to Kenji as he called her and burst out laughing "are we four years old?" she asked jokingly "I love it" she finished with a big smile. Brooke walked up to Kenji and very casually painted a big pink dot on his back "I love this too" she said while laughing.

[Sousuke]

Kenji admired his work on the wall for a moment longer before feeling a tingle on his back, "you painted me?" Kenji grinned as he began to furiously shake his can of spray paint. He then aimed it at brook and sprayed a long line down and across the front of her torso. He began to laugh widely, "This is so dumb," He looked at the pens she had painted pink, "Remind me to never piss you off." Kenji took her hand, "I think we're done here, take the cans with you so they can't get our fingerprints alright?"

They left the office and rode down the elevator. Kenji returned the key back to the receptionist before heading out the front door. He then stripped off the painters suit and was back in his pin striped suit they had bought earlier. He than tossed his painters suit into the trash and instructed Brooke to do the same. "Well Brooke, now what?" He looked down at her and smiled. She was pretty and when she sprayed him on the back a very good sense of humor. Kenji had to admit he liked what he had seen out of her so far. Kenji wanted to get to know her more and was glad she had decided to show up that morning.

[Taylor]

Brooke giggled and then watched as the inevitable happened and Kenji painted a line down her front side. "I love being a four year old" she laughed before responding to his comment "sure thing, but don't worry I would not be as harsh with you" she said softly. She let Kenji lead her out of the office and down the elevator. After Kenji returned the key and lead her outside she watched him strip out of the suit with a pink dot on it and back into his pinstripe suit, he still looked as good as before. She then followed his lead and stripped down herself as he asked her what they should do now "what did I tell you? I do not make decisions but you do know what I want from you" she said softly with a sweet smile.

Brooke wanted him to take that step so badly, she wanted him to take her in his arms, bring her close and kiss her ever so gently. She wanted to kiss him back and have him want to kiss her more, slip his fingers into her hair and kiss her deeper as she linked her hands behind his neck. She wanted it to be a perfect little moment and it would be if he only would close that distance between them. Brooke however did not allow herself to get her hopes up about him, he seemed to want to kiss her but unable to make that move and she understood that.

Kenji opened his mouth to say something to brook but was interrupted by a ringing. He reached into his pocket and answered, "Go ahead," was all he said. The voice was muffled and spoke quickly. The entire time Kenji nodded his head as he listened, "Sure thing, tomorrow afternoon, be there." Kenji returned his attention to Brooke, "Listen Brooke, I gotta run," he held up the briefcase and shook it, "Business." He sighed and shook his head, "I don't mean to give you the same bull shit excuse your parents probably have." Kenji approached the curb and hailed a taxi cab before speaking to Brooke. He tossed her his cell phone, "Keep it, I'll text you on there later." Kenji looked into her blue eyes once more before climbing into the cab, "It was fun today doll, let's do it again soon alright?" Kenji then whispered into the cab drivers ear and looked to Brooke one last time and smiled to let her know he was serious about hanging out with her again.

Brooke was staring up at Kenji waiting for a response, a reaction, something and when it seemed as though her were to respond to her his phone rang. He answered the phone in a very business like manner although she knew it was not legitimate business, then again she wasn't sure that existed anywhere. Brooke had learned to doubt everything she was taught about the business world and the ethics that are supposed to be involved in business. Brooke simply watched silently as Kenji talked very briefly on the phone and then nodded slowly when he told her he must leave. She was upset at his excuse until he apologized for giving her the same excuse her parents had all these years, it made her feel like he understood her. She silently watched as he hailed a cab and then she caught the cellphone he threw to her, she had no doubt that he would text her tomorrow but she still wasn't happy about him leaving. She watched him leave in the cab and smiled back softly as he smiled at her before having the cab driver drive off. Brooke reached into her purse and grabbed her own cellphone, she called her fathers driver to come pick her up and then she sat down on a nearby bench.

The entire day had been a whirlwind for her, meeting him outside the police station seemed like forever ago yet it had only been several hours ago. This guy was so refreshing for her, he was so vastly different than any other guy she had ever known or gone out with. She was caught up in his everything, the way he smirked, his smile, the way he looked at her, the look on his face when he had a devilish idea, the way he called her doll. She knew it was not a good idea to be so caught up in him but she wasn't and didn't seem to be able to help it.

As Kenji rode in the cab he thought about Brooke whom he had left there by the side of the road. The feeling of guilt began to creep into his head but he quickly refuted it. He didn't owe her anything to be honest but he had enjoyed her company. She had completely shown him that he was right in his earlier presumptions. She was different from the socialites of New York city that he had come to know and hate. They were the people that earned millions of dollars, money that would last several lifetimes but they hoarded it amongst themselves. competing with one another to see who could get the bigger, faster, shinier, everything. It made him sick to think about them, but he was intrigued with Brook.

Not just her good looks but what she had done that entire day. She had met him outside of the police station, she helped him feed homeless people, she even went out of her way to help him pick a suit. Then there was the painint of her fathers office, he had expected her to do it but he did not predict that she would go so far as to ruin her fathers prized pens. "Brooke," was all he muttered before he got out of the cab.

Kenji walked down and around the blocks for several minutes allowing himself to get nice and lost or so it seemed. Finally he arrived at his destination, chinatown. He entered one of the buildings, a restaurant and met with a old chinese man and followed him into a back room. Takashi then cuffed the briefcase from his hand and handed it to the old man, "I need this money moved, and if you can front me about five thousand, and keep another ten for yourself old man." Without saying a word the old man smiled reached into his pocket and handed kenji a stack of rather old looking dollar bills, "perfect, I'll call you tomorrow to authorize the transaction from the park, and tell the wife I said 'hey'." With that Kenji left the restaurant and began walking deeper into chinatown. He soon found himself a hotel and paid upfront in cash for one night.

Kenji sat on the bed and pulled out another cell phone from his pocket. He looked down at it and dialed in the number of the phone he had given to Brooke and sent her a text, Hey it was fun today, let's meet up tomorrow in central park around one, by the way keep this phone secret, later doll :). With that Kenj lay down on the bed and started to doze off, "That girl wears me out," he said to himself with a smile on his face.

Before long the limo pulled up to the curb and Brooke rose to her feet, her driver Leo opened the door for her and gave her a gentle, warm smile. She and him had always had a special relationship, he had picked her up countless times all over the city, all hours of the day without expecting and explanation as to why she was where she was. Most importantly Leo would never break their trust and tell her parents where she was, most of the time she would tell him stories of how she got where she was but today was different. Brooke was dead set on keeping Kenji all to her self along with what they had done that day, she gave Leo a soft smile and he understood she was not in the mood to talk. She sat silently in the back with her eyes closed and thought of Kenji, she loved what he brought out in her, it was so exhilarating.

Brooke sat in the back of the limo gripping the cellphone waiting for it to vibrate but before long they were back at her building and so she slipped the phone into her purse. Brooke waited for Leo to open the door and then stepped out, she thanked him softly before walking towards the entrance to the building. Brooke walked through the door which was held open for her and before walking towards the elevator she thanked the doorman too. Brooke soon was up in her penthouse and was making her was to her bedroom when she was stopped by her mother and her friends having tea. "Brookie, sit down" her mother said in a very subtly commanding voice and so Brooke sat, she said a soft, sweet hello to all the women and the gave her mother a look, "yes mother?" she asked in a tone she knew her mother would recognize. "I haven't seen you since last night" her mother said in a falsely gentle tone which Brooke was well accustomed to, Brooke sat for a few moment with the women before she felt her purse vibrate.

With the vibration Brooke's heart jumped and she silently prayed it was the phone Kenji had given her. "Will you excuse me, this is quite important" she said softly before jumping out of her seat and rushing to her bedroom. Once inside the safety of her bedroom Brooke ripped the phone out of her purse and saw that it was in fact the phone given to her today. Brooke checked the new message and read it quickly, she then hit reply and wrote so you had fun with the spoiled rich girl? and what if I don't? she hit send and smiled to her self. Brooke laid back on her huge bed and just let herself be consumed by thoughts of the last 24 hours.

Kenji woke up just a few minutes after his phone had rung, "That was fast," he mumbled to himself as he sat up in the bed of the cheap hotel room. He chuckled as he read her text message and replied, Yeah, just a little though. Hey, it's your loss doll. Takahi sent that back knowing full well she was just teasing, its how someone like her was. Not a rich person but a young girl, obviously she didn't want to seem like she was all over him, in fact Kenji preferred it that way.

"At least she makes for an interesting chase," Mumbled Kenji to himself. as he waited for Brookes return phone call he met call a Chinese restaurant with the hotel rooms phone and ordered some food. Within minutes the food had been brought to his room and he slipped the delivery man a hundred without saying a word. Kenji returned to the room and put the food on the bed and began to dig into his rice and orange chicken as he waited for Brookes return text. As he did he received a text message from another number. "Moneys been moved, already?" Kenji shook his head with a smile, "that old man is quick."

With that in place Kenji was now ready for what would take place tomorrow except for one little detail. Kenji dialed a number on his phone and a secretary picked up, "Yeah I need to speak with your boss, tell him it's Mr. Gold." This was of course a half baked alias for Kenji's Loan sharking business. Kenji spoke with a man who had a voice whose deepness normally reverberated with a demand for respect, but this time the man was pleading, and to Kenji of all people. "Listen man I don't care, those are my rates and you don't know anyone else who can move that much cash in the short time you got, so meet me at the park tomorrow." Kenji hung up with a smile, he had this guy right where he wanted him.

Brooke felt the phone vibrate on her chest and she read the text from Kenji If you had fun with me then I think it is your loss she replied quickly with a smirk on her face, she loved these little games. Both of them knew they were playing but neither chose to stop and just be straight forward, it was so much more interesting this way. Brooke then put the phone down again she didn't like the idea of just waiting around for a text from this guy. She looked at the clock beside her bed and saw it was about 6pm, the day had gone by so quickly. Brooke was well aware of the fact that her parents would not be joining her for 'family dinner' tonight especially since her father would no doubt come home in the worst mood ever.

Brooke picked up her cellphone and began to scroll through her friends names trying to find someone to have dinner with but instead she paused on a pizza place down the street... maybe she would just order in, it had been a while. Brooke hit call and ordered a small cheese pizza for herself for take out. She decided a walk would be much better than anything going on in he house and she needed the fresh air anyways. She told them to have it ready for half an hour from now so she could take her time walking and wait a little before leaving. Brooke was so ready to change into sweats and a tank and just chill in her room.

Kenji looked over to his phone and saw it vibrating. It was Brooke, It had to be, he admitted to himself he enjoyed the little game they were playing and had been looking forward to her next text. He read it and a grin fell on his face. Haha, we'll hopefully you don't stand me up, talk to you tomorrow, night doll With that kenji collapsed on his bed. although it was only about a little past six o clock he was worn out. He had stayed up the whole night making phone calls and threatening top level executives into not only dropping their charges but also having them pay him one million dollars. Than he had spent the whole day running around with Brooke. Anyone would have been tired after a day like that. Kenji shook his head and placed the phone on the nightstand as he finally dozed off into a deep sleep.

Brooke read Kenji's text but didn't bother replying, she had some silly rule about never sending the last text to a guy. Brooke just laid there for a moment before getting up and walking out of the penthouse without saying a word to her mother. Brooke headed back down to the lobby and out the front door walking to the pizza place. There was a slight chill in the night air as she walked down the street but it was a beautiful night. The sun was just setting and she stared at it with a soft smile on her face. Brooke walked for about 15 minutes before reaching the pizza place. She quickly paid for the pizza and began to walk back towards the penthouse, she was fully aware that a picture of her carrying a pizza, walking alone would grace page 6 the next morning but she honestly didn't care at this point. She reached her building faster than it took her to reach the pizza place and she headed up. Once inside her penthouse she walked straight past her mother and friends though she was fully aware of the looks she was getting. She knew they were simply jealous because they had to starve themselves to even attempt to have a body as tiny as hers was naturally. Brooke went into her room and closed the door. She sat down alone on her floor and ate a slice of the pizza.

Kenji woke up that morning in the hotel room. It was unusually stale, the air conditioning must have broken as he slept. He grumbled as he made his way to the bathroom to take a shower. Eventually he had finished and put back on the pinstripe suit he had brought with Brooke yesterday. Immediately as he had finished fixing the suit with the helped of the mirror his thoughts turned to her. It didn't matter if she showed up later that day, either way he had business to conduct but he admitted to himself that he would certainly enjoy spending another day in her company.

He left the hotel and checked his watched it read ten thirty, he decided he had some time and decided to enjoy a quiet brunch by himself in the same chinese restaurant where he had taken the money the day before. Noodles and rice, not exactly his ideal breakfast but he took it anyways as he was not one to argue to much with the old Chinese man. He thanked the old man for the breakfast as well as being able to move his money quickly before making his way over to Central Park.

Kenji walked around the park at a slow pace; portraying a man who was simply enjoying a stroll around the park. However, he was scouting the place checking to see which areas the cops were patrolling as well as which places were for the most part empty. He finally decided on one of the more less visited areas of the park and took a picture of a bench with his phone, he than sent the picture to a contact as well as Brooke. He sat on the bench and leaned his head back watching the sun pass through the sky.

Brooke's night went on quite uneventful and she eventually drifted off to sleep. Brooke woke up and rolled over to look at her clock, 11:30 she saw which meant she had to get up now. Brooke got out of bed and walked into her bathroom, she dropped all her clothes and glanced in the mirror before stepping into the shower, after about 15 minutes she stepped out of the shower and wrapped herself in a towel. She proceeded to do her hair, brush her teeth and put on her makeup in her washroom before walking across her bedroom towards a massive walk in closet.

Brooke looked around the closet and tried to decide what to wear, she finally decided on some tightly fitted jeans, a tank top which showed off her figure and a cardigan to go over, she then pulled out some boots and changed into it all. She then checked herself in the full length mirror before walking to her bed and checking both the phones. At this point it was almost 1 o'clock and Brooke saw the picture Kenji had sent. She was unsure how she was to find this exact bench but she would give it a shot.

Brooke walked out of her bedroom and through the penthouse, it was quiet, her parents were probably at some fancy sunday brunch which she was glad to not have been dragged to. She headed down to the lobby and then out to the street, Leo was waiting there with the limo and she stepped into the car through the door he held open for her, "Thank you Leo" she said sweetly. He smiled at her and she told him central park, he gave her a weird look and she threw out a simple lie "just going for a walk, don't give me that look" she said with a smile.

Before long they had reached the park and Brooke stepped out of the limo, once Leo had left she looked down at the phone and examined the picture looking for anything unique in the background but she found nothing. Brooke opened up a text you know I know you would love to see my beautiful face but that picture isn't exactly helpful she hit send and smiled to herself as she waited for a response.

Kenji flipped open his phone and read the text from Brooke. She was right, if she couldn't find the bench than there was no chance his contact for the day would not be able to find it either. Kenji snapped several more pictures of the path both leading to and away from the bench as well as one of the more recognizable landmarks within the park, he sent all three to Brooke and decided to hold off on sending the pictures to his contact as he wanted Brooke to arrive first. Included in his picture mail to her was the text, "Glad to see you made it princess". he sent the text off with a smirk. That feeling of excitement crept all the way to the top of his head, "looks like it'll be another fun day today with miss Brooke.

Kenji was certain she would show up but the fact that she had texted him that she was looking for him brought a smile to his face. It was a genuine smile that he had offered once or twice to Brook the previous day. He thought back once more on all the crazy things they had done. He than began to contemplate what crazy things they would do today. but all of that would have to wait. Business came first today, but it would be over in a matter of minutes than he could be free to do whatever he wanted with Brooke.

Brooke looked at all the pictures he had sent her and then read the text, she decided to not reply but she looked at the final picture one more time, she then instantly knew where he was. Him snapping a picture of the john lennon memorial was a dead giveaway to the general area he was in. Brooke made her way towards where she knew the memorial was, once there she looked around the area and saw the back of a lone man on a bench. Brooke walked towards him quietly, she knew it was Kenji and so once she was directly behind him she wrapped her arms around him and whispered "Hi love". She simply wanted to see how he would react to her surprising him like that, how jumpy he was would give her a clue as to how dangerous his business was. The truth was she was already starting to worry about him getting hurt because of his job.

Kenji jumped a little in his seat when he felt the arms around him. He moved to remove the arms from his body but when he heard that voice he sat back and relaxed. By now he had aleady grown familiar with Brookes voice. he than gently lifted her hands from his body and kissed her on the hand softly, "Hello princess," he said as he let her hand fall. "Have a seat," Kenji scooted over to the side so Brooke would have some space on the bench. "I'm glad you showed up he said as he glanced at her from the corner of his eye.

Kenji than turn his face to her and shot a rather perky smile her way. "Once I finish up here we'll be on our way," Kenji looked down at his phone before typing on the keys and sending out a few messages. "In a few minutes a man is going to come here so I want yo to sit on the bench across from me and wear this," Kenji handed her a hat, "This man is one of your fathers junior executives , hes borrowing money from me because he did something," Kenji paused for a minute as he pursed his lips, "bad I guess, and he needs money to cover it up." Kenji sat with his leg in his lap and looked around, "So you can watch the show but don't act like we know each other or else we'll be equally screwed." Kenji looked into Brooke's eyes kindly, "I am glad you came," he said with the sincerity dotting his face.

Brooke smiled to herself as Kenji kissed her hand gently and then let it fall, as expected he jumped when she put her arms around him but he relaxed rather quickly. Brooke then walked around the bench and sat down beside him, tucking her legs under her and look at him with her bright blue eyes and smiling. "I am glad that I already know what the back of your head looks like" she said jokingly. Kenji quickly mentioned that they could be together for the rest of the day once he finishes up his business. She watched as he texted a few people and then turned his attention back to her.

Kenji went into explaining to her that a man who worked with her father would be coming, immediately Brooke wondered who this man was, would it be one of the men she knew? Brooke brought her mind off of this fact and decided it was best not to worry about this. Kenji handed her a hat and Brooke took it, she smiled at him "I look good in hats" she said sweetly to him. Brooke put it on and posed jokingly as a model, pouting her lips "how do I look?" she said before breaking out giggling. It seemed as though being with Kenji brought the best out in her, she chose not to comment on the fact that if she messed up and made it seem as though they knew each other they would be screwed and just focused on having fun in the moment with him. Kenji then looked into her eyes and said so sincerely that he was so glad she came, "show me hun" she said back to him with a devilish smirk on her face and a twinkle in her eye.

Kenji smiled as she gave him a devilish grin. She wore it well for a suppose prim and proper socialite. But Kenji was over her status and had accepted that she was indeed different from the rest of them. Kenji wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him. His locked her eyes with his own and searched them for a clue that would tell him what was going through that head of hers. "Show you huh?" Kenji placed a hand on her cheek and tiled her chin up towards him. But just at that moment he saw something out of the corner of his eye, it was an older man in a simple black suit with a white shirt and dark blue tie.

Kenji sat up in the bench and pointed to the man with his eyes, "Recognize him? he was at the party when we first met," Kenji regretfully removed his hands from Brookes body, "even if he doesnt know who you are if he sees us kiss that's going to make you a target, sit there," Kenji pointed to the bench across the way and sat up.


The man casually strolled over and sat down next to Kenji on the bench, "Mr Gold?," said the man as he glanced over to Kenji, "Good afternoon sir," said Kenji as he turned his head and looked the older man in the eye, "I understand you're a little short sir, how short are we talking?" The man swallowed hard, "Five hundred Mr. Gold," said the man keeping his eyes on Kenji's. Kenji smirked and sat back more casually in the chair, "You're in luck, but I'm altering the deal, you're going to owe me back double," said Kenji calmly. The other man stood up with his hands balled into fist at his sides, "That is outrageous," the man gritted through teeth. Kenji lazily looked up at the man and cracked a crooked smile, "No one else can you that much cash in the time you need it, and if you don't agree to the terms," Kenji pulled out a cell phon from his pocket and spoke to it, "You record everything hes said so far Mr. Fong?" the phone was silent for a moment before a man with a thick Cantonese accent came through ,"Yes Kenji," said the phone. Kenji smiled at the business man, "If you don't agree to my terms I will blackmail your company with the tape my associate has been recording and your company will pay me the money and you will never work in this town again," Kenji's smile never left his face, as he stuck his hand out, "Do we have an agreement?"

The man's face was completely drained of blood. Kenji had him right where he waned him and now Kenji was mocking this businessman by smiling like a schoolboy. The businessman feebly took Kenjis hand, shook it, and began to walk away. Kenji spoke to the phone, "thank you Mr. Fong, that will be all." Kenji hung up on the phone and beckoned for Brooke to return to the bench, " Have you ever seen that guy so scared shitless?" Kenji let out a hearty laugh.

Brooke parted her lips just slightly and looked into Kenji's grey eyes, this was the moment she has been waiting for since last night. She was ready for him to close the small space between them and have his lips touch her own soft ones. Just then she saw Kenji's eyes wander to somewhere else, other than her own and she knew she would not get what she wanted out of this moment. His hands dropped off her tiny frame and he pulled away from her, she quickly rose to her feet and moved to the other bench. She looked at the man who approached and instantly recognized him from not only the event where she had met Kenji but as well as from every other event. The man was in fact the man who was only 3 people below her father in the chain of command. Brooke knew his name but she could not bring it to pass her lips, she was very shocked that this was in fact that man who Kenji was loaning to. The man who had done 'something bad' involving the company. Brooke simply watched silently from the bench across the way, she listened as Kenji employed his brilliant tactics to get this man to agree to a ridiculous deal, all in the hopes of fixing his mistake. Once the man left and Kenji motioned for her to come back she rose to her feet and walked towards him. Brooke sat back down on the bench in the same way she had previously been sitting and she just watched Kenji laugh "no, I have not" she said softly

Brooke bit her lower lip for a moment and just stared at Kenji "you know how high up he is in the company?" she asked him softly. She was unsure whether or not he was fully aware that the man he just bailed out was one of the most influential people in the company other than her father. Brooke made herself stop thinking about all of this, she didn't and shouldn't care what happened within her fathers company and she was sure that this man was not the first to have messed up big time. "You are good" Brooke said softly to Kenji, looking into his eyes with a sweet, innocent look on her face as she took off the hat and laid it back in his lap. She simply wanted to get back to where she and Kenji had been before, only this time she wanted him to close the little space between them.

Kenji sat there with a blank look as he examined what appeared to be a very surprised Brooke. Obviousl she knew who that man was. Kenji smiled, "Yes, hes the junior executive, there's only a few people above him." Kernji cleared his throat, "The bad thing he did, it had to do with his "borrowing" of money raised for a charity," Takashi shook his head, "Hes going to replace the money and than hes going to pay me back with a million dollars of his own money." Kenji lazily moved his head in a circle and stopped, "The reason he can't bail himself out is because his wife's got his account by the balls," Kenji stood up and laughed, "Oh well, his bad decision is my victory."

Kenji than took her by the hand, "What do you say we go on a real date and not just random stuff like yesterday," the two of them began a stroll through the park. "Ever been to Coney Island?" Kenji let her fingers interlace with his. He looked down at himself he was still wearing he pinstripe suit from yesterday, "I need to change can't ruin the suit you picked for me," he said teasingly as he approached a taxi that had been waiting there. "Thanks for waiting for old man," said Kenji and the cab driver just smiled, "For three hundred dollars chief, I don't mind waiting at all," said the cab driver. Kenji opened the trunk and pulled out a small bag. he than shut the trunk and slipped inside the taxi, "I'll change when we get there, come on."

Brooke listened as Kenji explained what the man had done, she hated him for doing what he did, and somehow wished her father had never done something like that. Despite the fact that she despised everything her father stood for and how he had treated her since she was born he was still her father and she had to believe he had some integrity. She let Kenji laugh it all off and with that she too let it all go, she wanted to just have fun with him today and not worry about things she had no influence over. Brooke smiled as Kenji interlaced his fingers with her, the way she loved to hold hands "a real date sounds good" she said softly. The two of them looked like they fit together strolling through the park, Kenji in his pricey suit and her in her vintage designer clothes. "Never been, my parents were always too busy" she said sweetly to him, she was so excited.

Stepping into the cab and hearing how much Kenji had paid the man she smiled to herself, he was so generous which is something she was not used to, true generosity did not exist within her class. Once Kenji took his place beside her in the cab and told her he would change once they got there Brooke couldn't help but share her excitement. "You know I have never been to any amusement park" she said excitedly, she had only seen them in movies but she had always wanted to go as a child. She squeezed his hand and laid her head on his shoulder, only he would think to take her to an amusement park.

Kenji eyed the cab driver through the rear view mirror and with that the cab began to drive down towards Brooklyn. The two of them bounced around in the taxi but Kenji smiled down at her resting head on his shoulder. He brushed a strand of hair out of her face and whispered intimately to her, "I think you're gonna like it." Kenji ran his finger down around the rim of her ear teasing her with every inch his finger slowly traveled.

Kenji looked around and watched as they passed the buildings and headed closer to the Coney Island peninsula, "I'm surprised you haven't been." He liked that Brooke could be so full of surprises, she was strong, flirty, and right now, delicate. Kenji searched her eyes as the sunlight between the builds danced in them just like they had yesterday, soon they approached coney Island and were greeted by an amazing display that was the amusement park before them. "Let's go," said Kenji giving the cab driver one last nod before they exited the cab.

Brooke looked at all the buildings as they passed as Kenji brushed a piece of hair off her face so gently and the began to run his finger along her ear she had to hold back a smile. She loved the way he treated her right now, so delicate, like a piece of glass which would break if he put too much pressure. She didn't respond to his comment about him thinking she would like it there, she hoped she would like it. Kenji continued to speak to her, expressing his surprise that she had never been "I didn't have a childhood, love" she said softly as she continued to stare out the window.

After a while they had reached coney island and she could see all the rides up against the bright blue sky, it was such a perfect day for an amusement park. Brooke got off of Kenji and let him lead her out of the cab, her smile was so unbelievably radiant, expressing the pure joy she had. "Come on" she said excitedly, tugging at his arm like a small child, she couldn't wait to get in and get on rides.

Kenji followed her towards the front gate. In recent years attendance of the park had declined somewhat but it was still able to draw a sizable crowd every now and than. Today however the lines were relatively short and in had taken almost no time for Kenji and Brook to get to the front of the line. Kenji paid for the tickets and ushered brook past the gates and into the main park.

It was everything a person thought of when they heard amusement park. The sights, the sounds, the smells, it was all there. They were bewildered by the smell of amusement park food and the smell of the ocean or the sound of the roller coasters mixed with the calm of the sea next to them. Kenji led them to a mens bathroom, "wait here," he slipped inside for several minutes and emerged changed into normal street cloths. He wore a pair of fitted blue jeans, a white v neck with a red sleeveless hoodie with red and white basketball shoes. It was the first time he had worn normal street cloths in front of Brooke. "what do you think?" he asked her mimicking his words to her on the first night they met. Kenji let their hands inter lock once more, "what do you want to do first?" Kenji smiled as the look of sheer joy had never left her face since they had first arrived at the park.

Brooke followed Kenji into line and just couldn't stop smiling the entire time, waiting in line, paying for their tickets, walking to the washroom, Kenji changing (damn he looked good). "I think I want to go on some rides with someone suitable of my company" she said smirking at him "so lets go" she said pulling him along. She walked up to the first ride she saw, a giant rollar coaster, she wanted to see the entire park, it was all so new to her. The sounds mixed with the smells were exactly what she had expected and so much more, it was just like the movies and she was with someone she wanted to be with.

Brooke pulled Kenji into line with her and smiled at him "good choice?" she asked him sweetly as she looked back up at the rollar coaster. One thing Brooke had no fear of was heights, she loved them so much, not that she got much opportunity to challenge that, she thrived off adrenaline rushes, not that she got them that often. "Will you put your arms up with me?" she asked him with a devilish smirk. She looked into his eyes, she was just in pure bliss with Kenji and she was unsure how to express it to him.

Kenji followed her and smiled, "it's a very good choice," the two of them stood in line. For a moment kenji felt like a normal person and not some crazy loan shark. "I'd do a lot of things with you Brooke," Kenji offered her a devilish grin as the two of them continued through the line. As the two of them took steps forward the sounds of the roller coaster became much louder and so did the screams of the people who were riding them.

"you look really happy," Kenji said as the two of them took another few steps forward. "This one has carts built just for two," Kenji allowed his grin to become wider, "so well be all alone," he winked at her. They were now at the front of the line and sat down in a cart. The two of them were strapped and Kenji took Brooke's hand.

Brooke smiled at Kenji's comment, she liked that he felt the same way as she did, only with him could she do some of the things she had done. Kenji made her brave, he made her strong, he made her rebellious but he also made her feel like she could be delicate and feminine. "I am so happy hun" she said sweetly "and all alone works for me if it works for you" she said smiling at his wink. Once they were strapped in Kenji took her hand and she was sure he could feel her heart racing, she wasn't sure if it was from him or from the excitement of the roller coaster.

Brooke looked over at Kenji as the cart began to move, she took a deep breath as she heard the chain cranking pulling them up to the top of the highest hill. This was the scariest part for Brooke and she squeezed his hand a little as they neared the top. Once they reached the peak and began to fall, Brooke let their arms raise up and was in pure bliss as the adrenaline coursed through her body. In the middle of the fall Brooke turned to look at Kenji, her hair blowing across her face but her still smiling.

Kenji Squeezed her hand back through the rest of the turns and drops of the coaster. Eventually they reached the end and the coaster cranked as htey were pulled back into the station. Kenji Smiled down at Brooke and in between his breaths muttered, "How was it?" he stepped out of the cart and offered Brooke his hand once more to help her up out of the cart. Once again the two of them were in a crowd of people, machines, and noise.

Kenji looked to Brooke an watched the excitement breed in her eyes as they still had all the other rides and attractions the amusement park offered them as well as the whole day. "Let's try some ice skating," the two of them began to walk towards the rink and T.K. tilted his chin down and whispered into brooks ear, "We can hold hands the as much as you want there," he said teasingly as the rink came into view. Kenji watched as other couples skated around and were holding hands as they glided across the ice. He was sure this would please Brooke as well as give them a break from the rest of the noise.

[Taylor]

"Amazing" she said excitedly, as Kenji offered her his hand she took it and hopped out of the cart. Then they were walking and she was pulling him along, looking back at him with a look of pure joy. Then Kenji suggested some ice skating, Brooke approved of his suggestion and as he pulled her into him and whispered into her ear that they could hold hands as much as they wanted she laughed "oh but you already hold my hand all the time love, you must like it" she whispered back teasingly.

Once they reached the rink she and him rented skates and sat down to lace up, once they both had their skates on they clumsily walked to the rink, Brooke falling a little as they made their way. Once on the ice Brooke began to skate far more gracefully than she had walked, she had taken lessons for a long time as it was approved sport by her parents. Brooke skated around with Kenji, glancing at him every so often with a smile and bright eyes. After skating for a while Brooke pulled Kenji with her as she pressed her back onto a sideboard of the rink, he was standing in front of her and she looked up at him "thank you love" she whispered intimately to him.

Kenji placed a single foot on the ice to test it. He than set his other foot out and stood there shaking somewhat. Finally he gained his balance and pulled Brooke out onto the ice with him. "No problem," Kenji griped her hand as he helped her steady herself and gain her balance just as he had done. The two of them glided across the ice following a flock of couples similar to themselves.

The rink was cool but somehow with Brooke Kenji's hand never got colder. He continued to push off of the ice in order to pull them across the ice. "Having fun?" Kenji turned and pulled her close the two of them entering a slow spin with their bodies close together. He watched her hair fly freely as she twirled around with him. Kenji gazed into her eyes and felt as if they were in their own world.

[Taylor]

"not at all" she said with a soft smile as they spun in a slow perfect circle Brooke felt as if she was flying, her breathing was slow and calm and her mind was clear. It was rare for Brooke to have moments like this, she may appear outwardly careless and free spirited but she put a great deal of stress on herself, an unhealthy amount, it had to do with her perfectionism. Brooke looked into Kenjis eyes and it brought her out of her own mind and back into their little world, she likes this peaceful world between them.

Looking into Kenji's eyes she smiled, are you having fun with the princess?" she asked, her sweet smile turning into a cute smirk. She liked the way he called her a princess but in no way acted as if he thought she was some snooty rich girl. He treated her as she assumed he would treat any other girl and she felt even more special that way. She was so sick of being treated like she was better than anyone else just because of her parents money and her social status. The truth was it wasn't her who was something special, it was him, he was so willing to test her out and did not disregard her as some stupid rich girl.

The two of them continued to skate for a while. Kenji holding her hand never letting her go during the entire time. He was actually enjoying his time with her. It was a nice change of pace between his so called work hours. From time to time he would glance down into her eyes and watch as the ice would light up in her eyes. He liked that she was already much more than comfortable with him. in the past few days they had shared a great amount with each other, more than most people share. Normally it would be over whelming but with Brooke it was different.

"My feet are getting tired," he lguehd as he skated them back towards the exit, "Lets grab a bite to eat." Eventually they returned the skates and placed back on their normal shoes. They began to walk around looking at random resturants. Eventually Kenji decided what he wanted, "Let's grab some hot dogs." Kenji pulled her towards the line and grinned down at her, "I am having a lot of fun with the princess."

As they skated Brooke looked around at the other couples and determined that they were the cutest out there, of course she kept this observation to herself but it made her smile. Brooke allowed Kenji to lead her off the rink "mine too, sounds good" she said in response to his comment. Brooke and Kenji sat back down, undid their skates and then returned them before leaving the rink to find some food. All around them different scents of food floated around from the many restaurants that surrounded them. Brooke let Kenji decide where to go for lunch as she always let him decide what they should do, she was not one for making decisions like that. When he told her he was having lots of fun with the princess she smiled and squeezed his hand.

After waiting in a fairly quick line Brooke and Kenji were at the front and they ordered their hotdogs, "thank you love" she said softly as Kenji paid for their hotdogs. Brooke took her's from the man and dressed it with mustard and ketchup and then watched as Kenji dressed his hotdog while taking a bite of hers and making a mess on her face.

Kenji dressed his hot dog and ate at it hungrily. He savored the taste that could only come along with the atmosphere. He watched as Brook made a mess on her face. She was just like a little kid which made Kenji chuckle. "Cute," he wiped his finger against the corner of her lips catching a spot of mustard. He than licked it from his finger and smirked at Brooke, "Delicious," he than handed her a napkin, "Wipe your mouth princess we got more stuff to do."

He took her hand before leading her around the park. Truth be told Kenji could care less about what they did next. He was just enjoying Brookes company. She was definitely a nice change of pace from the people he normally hung out with. In fact, he could not remember the last time he had really hung out with someone his age. He had know others his age but they too were criminals but not quite like Kenji. Today though he actually got to enjoy time with someone. He enjoyed the fact that she was enjoying her time with him.


"A picture booth, you like taking pictures don't you?" Kenji led her to the booth and jammed a few coins unto the machine. "Come on," he playfully stuffed her into the booth and sat down next to her. The two of them waiting for the pictures to start, "Go nuts," he said as the timer for the first photo began to count down.

[Taylor]

Brooke laughed at herself as Kenji commented on her eating like a mess and after he wiped a bit off her mouth, still giggling she said "I promise i'm not normally a mess". Brooke then grabbed a napkin and wiped her mouth before smiling at Kenji a very over the top smile. She then let Kenji take her small hand in his and lead her away from the hot dog stand. Brooke then shot Kenji a look as he brought her to a photo booth "only you would be willing to go in a photo booth with me" she said softly before breaking out into a laugh and letting him push her into the booth.

Brooke looked into the camera smiling for a moment and then as the timer hit 1 she pulled a goofy face, over the next few pictures she was just giggling and making the craziest faces and in the second last picture she leaned towards Kenji. In the split second before the camera went off she kissed his cheek gently, and then pulled away as the final picture went off she was just looking at him with a soft smile on her face. Once all the pictures were used up she kept that soft smile on her face and said softly "that was fun".

Kenji smiled as he took Brooke's hand in his own with a soft grip. "Let's see how that last one came out." The two of them stood there infront of the picture booth for a minute or two. "come on," Kenji slapped the machine and after several more moments their miniature collage finally popped out of the tiny slot in the bottom of the machine. He eagerly snatched up the pictures and looked looked at them. "Even when you're making ugly faces you're still pretty," he said in a cool voice. "oh you were quick on that last one," he continued to tease her as he noticed that the camera had not caught her smooch on his cheek.

"These are you for," he pressed the pictures against her chest before continuing to walk with her. his eyes scanned the park back and fourth, they food still fresh in his stomach he was not in the mood for another roller coasted. He looked into Brooke's blue eyes, he knew what she wanted epically after she had boldly kissed him on the cheek. He smiled as he saw a giant steel structure, "How about a ride on the Ferris wheel?"

[Taylor]

Brooke laughed as she watched how anxious Kenji was to see a picture of her kissing his cheek but when the pictures came out it showed that the camera hadn't caught her. She smiled "thank you" she said softly in response to his compliment and the continued "I have no idea what you are talking about" she said with a smirk as she took the pictures he pressed against her chest. Brooke walked with him smiling from the little adrenaline rush that kissing his cheek had given her. It had felt so right to kiss him even if it was just on the cheek, her hand just fit so perfectly on the other side of his face and her lips on his cheek.

Reach the ferris wheel Brooke smiled up at him and then at Kenji "sounds good love" she said softly as they walked into line, it was a relatively short line and they were quickly in a little seat on the wheel. Brooke's hand was still in Kenji's their fingers intertwined as the wheel began to move slowly up toward the bright blue sky.

Kenji felt his hand tingle slightly as Brooke held it. They slowly rose up in the Ferris wheel but the two of them in their own little world. he watched as the sun had begun to set and painted the sky in a variety of pinks and yellows. The colors flattered Katrina as they graced her skin. he watched as the lights sparkled in her eyes. there was something magic about the way her blue eyes caught them. He could see her emotions filter though the shades of blue.

Kenji than gently cupped Brooke's chin with his hand. He breathed calmly as he continued to gaze into her eyes, "Take advantage, right?" he grinned as he closed his eyes and pushed his mouth to hers teasing her as his lips lightly brushed against hers as if daring her to take what she wanted.

[Taylor]

Brooke looked out the the beautiful sunset before them, it was so breathtaking and she almost couldn't take her eyes off it. The only moment where her gaze was pulled off of the sky was when Kenji turned her face to him. She was almost confused as he did so since she didn't expect him to lean in like he did. Their lips were just brushing for a moment but he didn't kiss her, Brooke paused trying to decide what to do but then she just began to kiss him gently. Brooke moved her hand to the side of his jawline as she kissed him, the moment just seemed so perfect and Brooke was glad he had waited. Kenji had known to wait to kiss her at the perfect moment, not in the cab, not in the park, not on the ice rink but here, right now, with the most perfect sunset as a backdrop.

Kenji deepened his kiss by parting his lips hungrily. Soon his hand found its way to the back of her head and pressed their lips together. The kiss was intensified as he felt Brooke twist her head to the side. He knew that she was enjoying this but than again he was too. Her lips reminded him of strawberries and cream. Kenji decided to take it a little further and gently licked her bottom lip with his tongue before breaking this kiss with her.

His eyes opened and he watched the sunset become a backdrop for the girl sitting in front of him. He watched the hues of her hair take on accents on the sunset. "How was that?" he mumbled to her as the two of them gently floated back down to earth in more ways than one.

[Taylor]

Brooke kissed Kenji, matching his intensity as he deepened the kiss, she felt his hand move to the back of her neck and she moved her hand off his jawline and slipped her fingers into his hair. Brooke was tilting her head and kissing him deeper when he moved his tongue to just barely graze her lower lip, and then the moment was over, his lips pulled away from hers and she took a deep breath in. When Kenji asked her how it was she answered in a dreamy tone before thinking "perfect" she breathed before shaking her head and correcting herself "good" she said smirking at him. She gazed out and the sunset one last time as their chair reached the ground again and she heard a voice telling them they had to get out but Brooke's eyes had moved back to Kenji and she was lost.

Kenji's eyes hovered on Brooke as their carriage carefully came to the ground. Even when the attendant had asked them to Step out Kenji's eyes remained fixated on Brooke with a sly grin with eyes to match. Eventually he complied and took Brookes hand and the two of the walked away from the Ferris wheel although kenji was unsure if Brookes feet were really touching the ground. She seemed to float almost and that made Kenji chuckle. "Just good huh?" Soon the two of them were surrounded by the blanket of night and bathed in the glow of the neon lights from the rides. "Let's get you home," he whispered to her as the two of them quickly hailed a cab. He stuffed his small bag under the seat and sat with Brook in the cab. He felt his hand creep over to hers before messaging it warmly. "Did you enjoy it?" he asked her in a low tone as his shoulders collapsed into the seat.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled as Kenji gave her the best little grin he had ever given her and his eyes seemed to be loaded with the same sort of grin. Brooke let Kenji take her out of the carriage and then out of the park, "yes just good love" she said softly but with a cute smirk. Then Kenji suggested she go home "but I don't like home" she whispered as she looked at him sadly with her big blue eyes. The innocent look on her face was one that most guys found irresistible and she had become quite practiced at it. Brooke sat with Kenji in the cab silently waiting for him to tell her she didn't have to go home until he asked her if she had enjoyed it "I enjoyed it up until you mentioned home" she said, cleverly bringing back up the topic. She liked the way he was gently holding and massaging her hand, his hands were nice and warm and made her feel calm.

"Little girls like you shouldn't stay out so late, epically with school tomorrow," Kenji teased her with his eyes. He knew for a fact that she didn't enjoy her home, it was part of why she had been so eager to run around with him for the past two days. However Kenji had decided that they had spent enough time together for now, epically out in public. He knew the measure of her status and understood that there was a good chance that there may be a picture of them together in the tabloids. It was a risk he would have to take, it's not like Kenji was an easy man to find so the tabloids would have a hard time tracking him down. his line of work made is necessary of r him to have an almost completely anonymous lifestyle. Although he liked Brooke having their picture together plastered all over the city didn't appeal to him. "You think people are going to see our pictures in the newspaper?" he asked with a slight laugh at the end. The Taxi was approaching the building where they had been yesterday. Kenji Looked up at it and a light frown drew itself on his face, "Text me tomorrow doll, you got my number."

[Taylor]

Brooke rolled her eyes at him "you are the one kissing little girls" she said with a smirk even though she was disappointed that he was taking her home. Brooke looked down at their hands and she squeezed his a little "I don't like it but fine" she said softly. Kenji then asked her a question she knew would eventually come "yes the probably will be" she said softly, she knew he wouldn't like this even though he had asked with a laugh. Somehow Brooke was already capable of distinguishing his real laugh from a forced one. Brooke looked out the window beyond Kenji and sighed, here she was, home sweet home. She looked back into his eyes as he told her to text him tomorrow and nodded in response before slipping out of the cab. Somehow she was unable to face whatever Kenji's reaction would have been to their picture being everywhere and it was worth missing the possibility of another kiss from him, "Goodnight" she mumbled and then she was walking to the door.

Kenji watched as Brooke walked to the door of the big building. From the way she had said "goodnight," to him, he could tell she was upset at something. "Don't worry about the pictures," He shouted back to her in a cheerful tone. The taxi cab began to pull forward and Kenj shouted back, "You better text tomorrow princess." And with that the speeding cab took his voice. Kenji watched as Brooke disappeared in the rear view mirror. He sighed slightly as he watched the buildings behind them become consumed by the horizon.


Eventually Kenji made it back to his Hotel. He was waved through by the attendant who knew that Kenji would simply pay in the morning. the door to his room flung open and Kenji stumbled through and landed on the bed, "Long day," he muttered to himself as he heard the hotel door close.

[Taylor]

Brooke walked in through the door as she had so many times before and headed up into the penthouse praying it would be empty. Brooke could remember a time when she had wished it wouldn't be empty, but that was a long time ago when she still had a hope that her parents wanted to be close to her. Brooke walked in a saw that she had got what she wished for, she sighed and walked in, still floating on a cloud from kissing Kenji but being incredibly distracted by Kenji's question of the pictures. He wouldn't have asked simply out of curiosity, he either was hoping there would be, or the opposite and knowing him as well as she could in such a short time she guessed the latter. He had however told her not to worry about it as she walked away from the cab, she didn't even turn around in response to his comment but simply walked away. He reminded her that he wanted to hear from her tomorrow but it was little comfort... she couldn't stop worrying.

Brooke went into her bedroom, stripped, put on shorts and a tank top and got into bed, it wasn't late but she wasn't in the mood for anything else. She turned on her laptop and did some homework before deciding to just go to sleep. Brooke shut down the laptop and lay down in her bed, just before closing her eyes to sleep she glanced at the phone which was charging beside her... she would text him tomorrow.

Brooke woke up and rolled over to look at the clock 7AM, she sighed but then pushed herself up so she was sitting up in her bed. After a few moments she got herself out of bed and made her way to the shower. After she had showered Brooke was slightly more awake and finished to get ready. Once she was all ready except for clothing she walked over to her closet and pulled out her uniform, she changed into the short grey skirt, white button down shirt, navy and grey tie and navy knee socks. Brooke walked over to her full length mirror and checked how she looked before heading out of her bedroom, at this point her father was already gone for work and her mother was still asleep. Brooke grabbed an apple, a mug of coffee and glanced at the paper which was open to page 6. There she and Kenji were, spread across and entire page, it was them at coney island holding hands and nothing more than that. The caption under the picture read "New York's golden girl has found a new guy?" she sighed thinking of how Kenji was probably staring at the exact same picture.

Kenji was sitting in the Chinese restaurant sipping on a mug of coffee staring at page six of the news paper. There it was just like he had predicted, him and Brooke. His associate Mr. Fong had brought him the paper the second Kenji had walked into the restaurant. Kenji rapped his fingers across the table top as his eyes continued to pour over the article.

Clearly the article was full of wild accusations and guesses as to who he was. Of course none of them were true as only a few people knew Kenji by his alias Mr. Gold and ever fewer knew him as Kenji. "I wonder if Brooke is freaking out," said Kenji as he took a sip from the coffee. of course Mr. Fong never said anything, he simply sat in the corner sipping on his green tea.

Although this meant hat Kenji would have to do better at laying low the next time he hung out with Brooke. Although the tabloids were loaded with amateurs even they could find out his information if they were dedicated enough. Than Kenji's thoughts turd to Brooke once more and her parents even, "I can't imagine the look on her dads face," he whistled with a smirk. Kenji than grabbed one of the red crays on the table from one of the children's menu's and drew a heart around the picture of him and Brooke. He than took a picture of it, selected the phone he had given to Brooke and hit send. "That should cheer her up," he said smugly.

Brooke pushed the paper away from her and then looked at the cellphone which was sitting on the counter, he had told her to text him but she wasn't about to text him so early. Brooke grabbed the phone, her mug of coffee and the apple and bag before heading out to school. Brooke got into the car which was waiting for her and began to eat the apple while casually conversing with Leo and texting her friends on her own phone. Once Brooke was at school she slipped both phones into her bag, and got out of the limo, walking into school she threw her apple out in a nearby garbage can. For some reason it seemed like forever since she had been at school or maybe it was that something had changed in the past few days.

Once inside school Brooke was greeted by her friends who she found even more obnoxiously superficial than she usually did and she just smiled and politely conversed with them. Soon the bell rang and she walked into philosophy, she was in the mood for thinking today but not such deep philosophical thinking. Brooke was not ready to think about what had changed inside her, she just wanted to be in her dreamy little world which she had entered for a moment after kissing him.

Kenji continued to look at the picture of the two of them in the newspaper. He wondered if any of Brookes classmates at her school had seen the picture. "Of course they have," he mumbled to himself. She was the top teen socialite in new york city. Kenji was just glad that the picture had been in the tabloids and was only on a Monday morning paper rather than a Sunday paper. Either way he was somewhat proud of the picture. It was the first time he had seen a picture of his that wasn't a mugshot.

"I wonder what shes up to," Kenji looked at his phone and picked it up. "No new messages," he looked to Mr. Fong who sat there in his same silent quite stance in the corner of the restaurant. "Of course I can't go to her school Fong, I've got some business to attend to." Kenji looked to the phone and typed in a message, Cute picture huh? The guy I mean, not the girl lol. He than hit send and sat there as he sipped on his coffee.

[Taylor]

Brooke was working hard in class to avoid the questions as to who the new guy was, she would simply smile and shrug her shoulders but she was getting sick of it all. Brooke looked to the phone Kenji had given her and saw it had 1 new message, she knew he would text her before she texted him but she was a little nervous as to what it said. There was no doubt Kenji would have seen the photo by now but Brooke took a deep breath, raised her hand and asked to go to the washroom. Brooke brought the phone along with her and once inside the safety of the bathroom she opened the message.

Brooke sighed a sign of relief as she read the text she quickly hit reply and wrote I know, I cannot believe that guy hangs out with her Brooke hit send and smiled to herself, she seemed to be addicted to these little games she and Kenji played, and couldn't help herself. Brooke then slipped the phone into her skirts waistband and walked back to class. Sitting back down in class she smiled at her teacher, who like all her teachers loved Brooke and then slipped the phone into her bag.

Kenji took another sip from his coffee before looking down at his phone to see it light up. He picked up the phone and tapped it and saw that Brooke had texted him back. his eyes scanned the message quickly and a small smile drew itself on his lips. Who knows, maybe he thinks shes got a nice butt. Kenji snickered to himself as he hit send.

Mr. Fong in the corner had not changed his facial expression once as he watched Kenji drink coffee and text Brooke. "Yeah I know Fong," said kenji as if the man had something. Kenj finally stood up and folded the paper and left it on the table. "Fong I'm going out, I'll be back later, and let me know how my last loan is going." After that kenji walked outside of the Chinese restaurant and began walking towards the heart of New York.

Brooke made it through the rest of the class and as soon as they were dismissed she grabbed her bag and ran out of class. She walked towards her locker and that was when the questions started from her best friend. They started off with an aggressive "why didn't you tell me?" but she quickly moved from that to just bombarding Brooke with the typical questions. Brooke bit her tongue though she was dying to tell Taylor all about Kenji she just wasn't sure how he would feel about it and what Taylor would think, "he's just this guy" she said softly. Brooke saw the phone flashing in her bag, she pulled it out and smiled at the text all while Taylor stared at her. oh well she clearly does but that can't be all he sees in her Brooke hit send and then smiled up at Taylor who was staring at her open mouthed, "I love you Tay, you know that" she said before hugging her and heading off to her next class.

Kenji had arrived at the bank, he was sitting in the lobby. He would look down at his phone every now and than, "No messages from Fong," he muttered to himself, just than he saw his phone light up. "Brooke, just as good," he said with a small smile forming at his lips. He read the message and his smile grew a little wider. She was definitely street smart, he thought to himself. He liked a lot of things about her other than her body but of course he didn't want Brooke to know that. Maybe, he does maybe he doesn't. He typed in than hit send.

He than received a phone call from Fong. Fong simply muttered one word and Kenji smiled, "Thank you Fong." Kenji hung up and went over to the tellers. He opened his account to confirm what Fong had just told him. Kenji's account had already begun to rebuild itself. It seemed that the man whom he had negotiated with yesterday had indeed taken the money, now all Kenji had to do was wait and one way or another he would have more money.

He pulled out his phone and typed in another text to Brooke, So babe, let's grab a bite to eat after school. He continued to grin as he left the bank.

[Taylor]

Brooke sat in her calculus class completely zoned out, the teacher continued to speak on something related to a word problem describing the growth of bacteria. Brooke just sat there biting her lower lip and hearing Scott whisper into her ear, he was talking to her about some party he had gone to that weekend and how he wished she could have come. She just nodded and mentioned something about a gala with her parent but then she tuned it all out. Brook glanced down at her bag and saw a little red light flash.

Brooke reached out for the phone and slipped it under the table and read the two texts from Kenji, the first one made her smirk a little but the second one made a big smile come across her face. Brooke began to answer as Scott continued to talk, asking her if what he had said made her smile. Oh I see, well clearly he does like something more in her, and not sure I want food but you can try and convince me she hit send and then looked at scott, "oh yea that sounds awesome" she said in a falsely interested tone.

Kenji had been walking through the streets for some time. By now he had acquired a massive amount of food from a fast food restaurant and had begun handing them out to the random homeless people he encountered. He felt the phone in his back pocket begin to vibrate. He then called over a young homeless boy and asked the boy to take the rest of the bags and share them with the others. The young boy nodded and happily took the bags and ran with them down an alley. Kenji smiled weakly as he continued to walk before taking the phone out of his back pocket. "Convince her?" Kenji said to himself as he scratched the back of head. It was fun and part of the chase he reminded himself.

He walked over to a bench and took a seat. His fingers rapped themselves against the bench before he rolled his eyes. Why was he thinking so seriously about this, it was just fun and games so he should convince her by being fun and playing a game with her. Kenji turned the phone towards himself, smiled and snapped a picture. I would love to see your smile, and it would make me this happy to see you.. Kenji then sent the picture and text to Brookes phone as he looked up to the sky on the bench. The blue of it reminding him of Brookes eyes.

The class seemed to drag forever with Scott whispering in her ear as he did every class but today was different, she didn't play back with him, she didn't flirt at all. Brooke smiled in anticipation of Kenji's attempt to convince her to meet up with him after school. After a while she saw that little red light flash in her lap and her heart jumped, Brooke opened the message and saw a picture of Kenji. She laughed out loud and then her hand jumped to her mouth to silence her, several people had already turned to look at her but after a moment turned back to the front. Brooke texted back cute but you made me get in trouble in class, keep convincing she hit send and sunk down in her seat with a reddish hue to her cheeks.

Kenji was sitting sitting on the bench in the park. He was taking an unusually long break from his usual rounds today. However, most of his daily task had already been complete and it was only midday so he saw no reason to hurry. In fact, he had almost fallen asleep on the bench. He was sitting with his head tilted back with his eyes towards the sky, not really thinking about anything, except for Brooke. Just than he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He pulled it out and tapped on it several times. He laughed at the image of Brooke getting in trouble in class. "More convincing huh?," he said to himself with curiosity lingering in his voice. "No, now you send me a pic, don't you know how this works dummy?. He then hit send before containing to sit there. Of course he didn't think Brooke was dumb, quite the opposite, but he liked to mess around with her.

Brooke looked down a few moment later and saw that little red light flashing again, it had become her new best friend, the only thing that could make her heart jump and a smile come across her face. Brooke opened the text and smiled even wider, oh so he wanted a picture of her oh you just want to see me in my uniform don't you love? she hit send and looked back to what was going on in the front of the classroom. Scott's tone had become harsher as he continued to speak to her, he could tell she was completely uninterested and even more than that, she wasn't even listening to him. At that moment he grabbed her hand roughly, and she turned to look at him "what the hell scott?" she asked. Scott was looking at her with a face full of anger, she had seen him get violent when he was drunk or high but never just randomly like this "who the hell are you so interested in?" he asked her in an aggressive tone.

One thing that was typical of Brooke, she was teasing and playing hard to get. She wanted him to admit something about her. Did She wanted to trail him down this path and get him to admit other things about her as well? Either superficial things, like which of her body parts he liked the best or something sincere like what he liked about her personality. Had she been hanging out with him that much, no. She had probably learned how to get people to play into her hands the same way he had, watching other people do it. But this was a fun game for Kenji, a nice reprieve from his daily task of plotting and helping in his unique way. He decided he should turn the tables on her and give her something that would throw her a little off. Well I wouldn't mind seeing you out of it either, love

Kenji smirked at the text and hit send. He then reached up and took a bite of the hotdog that was in his hand as he walked through central park.

"a friend Scott, now let go" she said ripping her wrist from his grasp she got up and walked out of class without asking. She stormed off to the bathroom and once inside she leaned against the wall and took a few deep breaths. Brooke looked at the phone and saw what Kenji had texted back, she normally would have laughed but instead she just walked to the mirror, took a picture of herself not smiling and sent it to Kenji along with a text this will have to do love... I really don't want to go back to class. Brooke stared at herself in the mirror and closed her eyes taking a few more deep breaths. Scott scared the shit out of her, he had been aggressive with her before and it had ended very badly and she was scared that he was doing it now, completely sober.

Kenji opened the text message with some excitement but looked at the picture and noticed that Brooke was absent her smile. Or at least, he thought she had been smiling from his earlier messages. He than red her message and somehow he knew something was wrong. He knew she was not mad at him, after all she wasn't the type to get mad at such petty comments, someone else must have made her upset. Whats wrong babe? Kenji immediately got up and looked back down at her picture, there was only one private school in the entire area with that particular uniform. Kenji walked to the road and began to walk towards the school.

[Taylor]

Brooke read Kenji's text, she was surprised he knew her so well to know there was something wrong but she didn't want to worry him with some guys stupidity. its nothing really she hit send and then began to fix herself in the mirror. She felt strange about lying to Kenji about it being nothing, she wasn't sure why she cared so much, she would have said that to anyone else without remorse but to him it felt wrong. She knew Kenji would want to make it all better for her and she felt as if she was depriving him of something which would make him feel good, it would make him happy to be able to help her but she didn't want his help if it meant worrying him

Kenji checked his phone for the time, It was a little past two in the afternoon. By the time he would get to Brookes school she would already be out. That wasn't a bad thing. After all, he had finished most if not all of the task he had set out to do for that day. In trust he was just waiting for a another call from Fong to monitor the status of his funds. He checked his phone again, "it's nothing," Kenji frowned. The fact that she had not been smiling in the picture she sent him was more then enough to let him know that something was indeed bothering her. However he understood why she had not told him the truth. Hardly anyone ever did when they were asking if something was wrong so he didn't take it personally. See you soon, was all that he typed into the phone. he hit send and stuffed the phone into his pocket as he continued to make his way to her building.

Brooke saw the little red light and she checked his text, the see you soon was enough for her to calm down, Kenji would be there soon enough and she could survive the rest of class knowing that fact. Brooke took one last look in the mirror, slipped the phone into her skirt's waistband and then walked back to class, she had to keep reminding herself to breathe and by the time she got back to class she was able to appear outwardly normal. She was unsure of why what Scott had done freaked her out so much but it did and she wasn't one to stand for it. Brooke sat back in her seat next to him but didn't look at him, he began to whisper apologies to her but she wasn't even remotely listening. Brooke's eyes were set on the board and her teacher and her mind was set on the idea that Kenji would be there soon.

Kenji had arrived at the compound for Brookes private school. It was situated in a rather spacious area near the outskirts of the city. He heard the schools bells ringing and knew Brooke would be out sometime soon. He than sat down on a bench and pulled a newspaper off of the ground. He wanted to hide his face, after all, most of these kids probably saw the picture of him and Brooke.

He didn't want them to come up to him and start asking questions. After all, he hated what most of these kids were and what they were going to grow up to be. But Brooke was different from them, that's why he showed up. He looked at the newspaper he had been holding, ironically it was today's paper, and he was staring at the picture of them holing hands, it made him chuckle. He pulled out his phone and typed in, I'm reading the paper He hit send and returned to holding the paper in front of his face.

[Taylor]

Brooke heard the bell ring, she jumped out of her seat, packed her books and walked out of class, scott followed. Brooke walked to her locker as he walked behind her continuing to apologize but getting even more aggressive with his attempt to apologize. Brooke threw a few of her books into her locker and grabbed a few, with that she slammed the locker closed and turned to walk out of school. Scott grabbed her shoulder and pushed her against the lockers and in a very harsh tone said "accept my apology" Brooke said no and tried to push his hand off her while people continued to walk by and stare. "Scott seriously get your hand off me" she screamed and that's when a teacher began to wall towards them, his hand dropped and she began to walk out of school with him following. Brooke looked around quickly once outside and spotted Kenji behind a newspaper, she walked straight for him and then pushed the paper down once she reached him "lets go" she said while Scott near the two of them.

Kenji looked up at Brooke from the pushed down newspaper. He smiled up at her then tilted his body to the side and spotted a boy behind Brooke. He was closer to her age only about sixteen or seventeen. He had that same snobby sense of entitlement about him that Kenji dispised. The boy looked as if he was trying to get something from Brooke. Also she was still flustered. This guy definitly had something to do with Brooke being upset, and based on that alone Kenji no longer felt as if he had to give the boy the benefit of a doubt.

Kenji shot daggers at the boy with his eyes before righting his body and looking up at Brooke. "Babe, whose the shithead following you?" Kenji asked as he stood up and gritted his teeth at the boy. It was like a junkyard dog staring down a toy.

[Taylor]

Brooke looked at Kenji turn defensive right away, she knew he could kick the shit out of Scott despite the fact that Scott was larger than him. As much as Scott deserved it she didn't want to see a fight so she grabbed Kenji's hand and whispered "hes no one love, he just... it's nothing, let's go". Brooke tugged on Kenji's hand as Scott approached faster, seeing Brooke take Kenji's hand must have made him more angry. She saw the anger in his eyes, it wasn't as if she was ever even his but he wanted her and that was enough for him... he got what he wanted. Then again she could see the look on Kenji's face, he was not joking around, he was as angry as Scott was despite not knowing what had happened.

Kenji studied the look on the guys face. Kenji was not sure who the boy was or if he had seen the boy at the party where he met Brooke. But chances were Kenji probably knew the boys father. He was close enough to hear what Brooke had said and kenji relaxed the angry look on his face and grinned. "You hear that? Brooke said you're nothing, so that means you're not worth wasting my time." Kenji took Brookes hand and turned his back to the guy. however, Kenji had stored a mental picture of the boy, he would be sure to find out who he was and everything about them. Kenji believed in knowledge being power and Kenji liked having power over those who thought they were gods.

[Taylor]

Brooke was glad Kenji dropped it but she wasn't so sure Scott would, "he hurt me love" she whispered as they walked away. Brooke squeezed Kenji's hand tight and smiled a weak smile at him "thank you for coming hun" she said softly, leaning into him to kiss his cheek. "So how was your day?" she asked him sweetly as she looked at him innocently with her eyes which seemed grey today. It was a strange occurrence that her eyes were so grey on such a beautiful day. It must be her mood which meant that they would soon return to her normal radiant blue which seemed to captivate anyone she chose.

"Hurt you?" Kenji whispered as the two of them walked away, he frowned for a second but smiled as he was sure Brooke was okay for the time being. "You're welcome babe," Kenji felt her kiss him on the cheek and smiled even more, it had only been a few days but they had progressed quite quickly. Kenji didn't mind, life was too short to take things too slowly anyways. "My day was okay, just took care of some business, nothing special." although the money was important to Kenji he wasn't too worried about it. He had guaranteed that he would get the money back one way or another and when he was with Brooke any other thoughts of money were soon erased from his mind. "That uniform looks good on you," he whispered to her at the two of them walked into an ice cream parlor. "A sweet treat for a sweet girl," he said to her in a warm hushed voice.

[Taylor]

"Yea he is very aggressive with me" she whispered back but she then let it all slip her mind as they continue to walk and Kenji complimented her on how she looked in her uniform. Kenji then began to tell her about his day and how nothing really special happened, he just took care of some business. When Kenji lead her into an ice cream shop a smile came across her face and it only grew when he spoke to her in that intimate tone which made her heart leap. "Oh the princess is sweet?" she asked jokingly and then continued "I think the prince is the sweet one". Brooke loved to tease Kenji, she knew he wouldn't want to be referred to as a prince but she did it anyways, it was all part of their little game anyways. Brooke walked up to the counter with Kenji and ordered a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough and smiled at the guy working behind the counter sweetly then looked to Kenji "thank you baby" she said softly.

[Sousuke]

Kenji waved his palm at the man behind the counter when asked abotu what flavor he would like. "no, Ice creams just for the brat here," he teased. He then took her hand and the two of them walked back to a booth and took a seat in the back of the parlor. He made sure to avoid any windows. Kenji didn't want more picture of him and her to pop up on the news paper. Although chances were, pictures would continued to pop up but he would do everything he could to limit them. "Your welcome doll," She was becoming comfortable with him, he could tell by the way she joked and played games back with him. As she took another bite from the ice cream Kenji watched as a small measure remained on her lips. He pushed the ice cream cone and pressed his lips against hers. He licked her lips then his own and grinned back to her, "delicious," he said in a deep voice.

[Taylor]

Brooke sat down with Kenji "whats wrong with you? who doesn't like ice cream?" she asked laughing a little. As she sat there she smiled at him and played with his feet under the table but when Kenji pushed her cone aside and leaned into kiss her she stopped, she kissed him back gently as she tasted her lips before pulling away. Once he had pulled away and commented on how yummy they tasted she giggled "are you sure? I think you need to taste again" she said jokingly as she resumed playing with his feet under the table like a child. She liked the way Kenji tasted to despite him not eating ice cream she then offered him her cone to taste again though she was sure he understood what she had really meant by her comment.

Kenji looked at the ice cream then back to Brooke. He watched as her eyes shifted colors. He couldn't help but continue to look into them with interest. He felt her feet playing with his. She was acting like a little kid, then again she as a kid. He wondered what's the farthest she had ever gone with a guy. He wondered how far he could go with her. But they were right there in the moment in the ice cream parlor. He pushed the ice cream cone out of her face and planted his lips against hers. This time his tongue had snaked its way into her mouth. They stayed like that for a moment or so. He explored her tongue with his own nothing how she tasted and how warm her mouth was. He pulled back and exhaled slowly and grinned, "Still delicious."

[Taylor]

Brooke looked at Kenji with a soft smile in between licks of her ice cream he seemed to be trying to figure something about her out, or at least that is what his expression implied. She liked having a little mystery to her but she was curious what he was thinking about. Brooke was sure she got her answer when Kenji leaned forward once again and began to kiss her again. This time his tongue had made it's way into her mouth and his played with hers. Brooke dropped her ice cream onto a napkin and gently brought her hand to his cheek, pulling him in more. Brooke felt Kenji pulling away and she let her hand drop and let him pull away. "I am glad I taste yummy" she said smiling at him as he returned to how he was sitting before. Brooke began to giggle for some reason, she was unsure of why, maybe it was just nervous energy but she took a deep breath and bit her lower lip trying to stop this giggling.

Kenji sat there and smirked at her as she began to giggle. He found the sound of her laughs to be positively musical. Normally he wouldn't care for a rich spoiled child to be smiling, but he didn't see Brooke as one of them. Her happiness for a small smile to appear on his own lips. "I wonder how the rest of you taste," he said with a smug grin as he sat back in the chair and let Brooke's feet play with his once more. She was cute but not more then a minute ago had she deepened an already passionate kiss between the two of them. She was indeed a mystery to Kenji, but he liked that. He sat there gazing into her own eyes with the smug look on his face never leaving.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled and shrugged her shoulders and looked up giving and 'I don't know' look to him before sliding her hand across the table wanting his. "To find out might be a challenge for you love" she said with a soft smirk. She liked that Kenji pushed her but wasn't overly graphic and that he didn't force her into any of his games. It wasn't that Brooke didn't love these little games they played but she didn't like to be pushed into them, she freely joined in. She liked that she was able to challenge Kenji like she just did and work him to take that smug little look off his face, she felt that he knew she would be a challenge and just liked to mess with her.

[Sousuke]

"I love a challenge," said kenji with a rather smug look on his face. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a ma sitting on a bench who appeared to be taking pictures of the neighborhood. Kenji twitched his lip and frowned, he what that photographer was really up to. Although the man was really just trying to make an honest living Kenji could not afford too many of his pictures to be in the newspaper. He didn't want to be known and he didn't want any of it to lead to harm for Brooke. "Babe, lets go get cozy somewhere private," Kenji knew what he said probably sounded really suggestive but he was certain Brooke would understand. His eyes glanced towards the window then back to her several times. Kenji than stood up and offered a hand to Brooke.

[Taylor]

Brooke smirked back at Kenji as he said he loved a challenge, his comment was no surprise to her, in fact it was exactly what she had expected him to say. Brooke saw a frown come across Kenji's face and she gave him a confused look before following his gaze, she saw the man with the camera and when Kenji said let's go somewhere to get cozy she nodded. Brooke stood up and gave him a look of understanding before taking his hand and letting him lead her out of there. "I get it" she said once they were outside and she squeezed his hand a little tighter, "now where are you taking the princess to snuggle love?" she continued with a sweet smile to change the topic. She knew it must be new for Kenji to be so in the spotlight and she knew it couldn't be good for business for him to be so public. At the same time she was kind of happy that he was still willing to risk all that to be with her but she was okay with going somewhere more private.

The truth of the matter was Kenji didn't know where he was going to take Brooke. All of the places he hung out in were fairly public places. Even his deals and loans took place in public areas. It was of benefit for Kenji to not have a designated office. The only place he had like that was Fongs restaurant but he couldn't take Brooke there. Could he take her to time square and get the both of them lost in the crowd? no he had already told her they were going to go somewhere private. his mind began to race as the two of them walked down the streets of New york hand in hand. "How about the movies? we can make out all you want in there," he joked, but unfortunately it was the best he could think of, "Unless you have some private getaway somewhere princess." he said as he tugged her along.

[Taylor]

Brooke watched Kenji's face as she waited for him to respond as to what his idea was but it seemed as though he hadn't thought his plan through well. Kenji's face had scrunched up a little as he thought and she found it incredibly cute. Brooke finally got her answer, the movies and she didn't like it, sure it was dark and all and they could kiss but she wasn't in the mood for a movie theater. Kenji then asked her if she had anywhere, Brooke hadn't planned on bringing it up but she would really rather it than a movie "I uhh... I have my own apartment" she said softly "I mean, I haven't moved there or anything yet but I have the keys and its somewhat furnished, I told my parents I had to move out if they wanted me to go to the university they chose". Brooke looked at him innocently with her bright blue eyes to gauge his reaction, she was sure like any other guy that he would be down to go there but she wanted to see what he had in mind. Brooke was not easy by any measure and there was no chance Kenji was getting more than she was ready to give but she wanted to just go somewhere with him.

Kenji breathed a relaxed sigh, "Oh good you have your own apartment," he continued to tug her along before he paused and gave her eyes a hard look, "You have your own apartment?" Kenji blinked several times and shook his head. his smile reappeared, "Rich kids get everything," Kenji took her hand and the two of them continued to walk along until Kenji decided to hail a cab. Once the cab pulled up he playfully stuffed Brooke into the cab and sat down himself, "we can just relax there without being bothered," he smiled and looked to the cab driver, "the lady knows where we're going."

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled at Kenji as he said that rich kids get everything "but remember baby, i'm different" she said with a cute smirk before getting into the cab with him. She smiled to herself as he said we can just relax and not be bothered and then he indicated that she should let the man know where they were going "Prince and Wooster" she said sweetly to the driver. Brooke then turned to Kenji and smiled "I love SoHo" she said before shifting herself once again and leaning into him. "The best part is, it is as far as my parents would let me go" she said softly as she stared out the window, she truly did love this city so much.

Kenji let the cab bump them around as it made its way to the Soho neighborhood. Normally he never had to pay attention to photographers as his line of work wasn't the kind not be publicized. So why was he taking the effort to avoid them? After all, he didn't have to spend time with Brooke. they had just kissed, they weren't officially together or anything. Kenji comforted himself in the fact that he didn't have a whole lot else planned for today anyways. Now that were were speeding off to Brookes own apartment he figured it might be nice for a change for them to not run around and do stuff, but to just spend time together doing nothing. The cab began to slow down, "Is this it?" he asked Brooke.

[Taylor]

Brooke nodded and looked up at the building, it outwardly appeared quite shabby but inside was her very own beautiful studio apartment. Brooke smiled and grabbed Kenji's hand, she suddenly was a mix of excitement and nerves. She loved this apartment, beyond the fact that it was far away from her parents it was also in SoHo which was much more her speed than the upper east side. She loved the artsy, boutique feel to the area and she just felt so at home. Her apartment was spacious but at the same time quite cozy, despite not being fully furnished she had her couches picked out, a coffee table, a kitchen table, and a bedroom set. Brooke pulled Kenji along after she rushed his paying of the cab and the walked into the building. Brooke grabbed out her keys as they took the stairs up to the 5th floor, they walked to the end of the hall and she slowly unlocked the door. Opening the door she turned to look at Kenji's reaction with a big smile on her own face as she lead him in.

Kenji was alittle confused by the apartments outward appearance at first. He knew what kind of money Brookes parents raked it, a condo with an Oceanside view would not out of their range by any means. Neither would a private little penthouse or even a house to herself, all would be affordable options for Brooke. In fact Kenji wouldn't have been surprised if she had any of those as well. Instead Brooke chose to take him to a quaint little studio apartment in SoHo. The expression on her face said that if this was just one of her private hideouts it was definitely her favorite one. She was taking him to her own special little world something that caused a brief smile to crack on Kenji's face. "Cute," he murmured, but whether he was referring to Brooke or her Apartment was unclear.Kenji stepped inside and immediately made his way to one of the couches. He plopped himself down letting the cushions of the couch suck him into them. "Come here," he beckoned for Brooke to join him.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled even wider as Kenji said cute and smiled as well, Brooke watched for a moment as Kenji walked over to the couches and when he called her to come sit with him she gladly obliged. Brooke walked over to the couch and sat down, she leaned into Kenji and tucked her legs under her. "Do you like it?" she asked in almost a whisper and she looked around the place. Brooke knew his answer to question but she wanted hear him say it, it would make her so much happier. Brooke sitting there took Kenjis hand and intertwined their fingers, she was so comfy all cuddled into him and she just wanted to stay with him like this forever. She didn't want to go back to her penthouse with her pretentious parents who didn't give a damn as long as their reputation remained intact.

Kenji grinned when she asked if he liked it. "It's not bad," he said floated out of his mouth as he sank further into the couch. Kenji then wrapped his arms around Brooke's waist and he kissed her once more on the lips. He tasted her delicate sweetness on his lips. Kenji than decided to slide his own tongue past her lips and into her mouth. Kenji groaned teasingly as he did so. His own tongue greeted and danced with hers for a moment before he pulled back and smirked at her with his grey gaze. "The views not bad," he teased her as he pushed her down onto the couch still smirking this time down at her into her eyes.

[Taylor]

Brooke looked at Kenjis irresistible grin and then she let him pull her body into his to kiss her, his kiss was sweet and gently but at he kissed her again it became rougher and more passionate. His tongue made his way into hers and their tongues seemed to be doing an unexpected routine, like one knew where the other was about to go. Brooke was suspended in this moment of spontaneous choreography before Kenji broke the kiss. Brooke giggled as Kenji commented on the views and then she let him push her down onto the couch, as he did she pulled him with her so he was suspended over her in almost a push up position. Brooke stared as his even more irresistible smirk before pulling his body down on hers and kissing him deeply. The kiss seemed to be fluid, their mouths moving together like a dance and it seemed to her as if time had stopped and they were once again suspended in the moment.

Kenji was a little surprised when Brooke had pulled him into a kiss in the way that she did. He dismissed the thought and allowed his lips to playfully crash repeatedly into hers. "You taste good," his smirk deepened as his lips jumped from hers to her neck. He began to kiss it repeatedly. He wondered if he was going too far but decided there was only one way to find out. He gently nipped and sucked away at her slender neck. As he kissed at her one of his hands made its way up her down her side and came dangerously close to touching her butt. "Am I going too far?" he whispered teasingly into her ear.

Brooke kissed Kenji deeply and playfully and as she did she slipped her fingers into his hair, as he moved his kisses down to her neck she smiled. As Kenji's hands wandered and his lips moved down her neck, gently teasing her she bit her lower lip and continued to play with his hair. When Kenji whispered in her ear asking if he was going to far she shook her head no and whispered back "you will know if you are babe, keep going". Brooke tilted her head back slightly as she let Kenji continue to kiss her, she liked that he had asked her, it made her feel like he truly didn't want to push her any farther than she wanted to go. At the same time she liked when a guy took control and he seemed to be able to master both in a perfectly balanced manner.

Kenji continued to softly suckle on Brookes slender neck but he eased off before a bruise could form under his lips. He was glad she was comfortable with what he was doing, from then on Kenji decided that he would do as he pleased, if he had to have a second thought about it then it would probably too far. Up until now ever move Kenji had made on Brooke had been a gut feeling. Kenji pushed his lips against hers once more. As he dis so his had made its way under her and he playfully squeezed her butt, "Not bad," he said as he kissed her but his words came out all mangled.

Brooke was lying with Kenji on top of her, head tilted back and biting her lower lip as she tangled her fingers in his hair. When Kenji brought his lips back up to hers she kissed him back deeper than she had before, in between the kissing she let out a little giggle as Kenji grabbed her ass and made some comment which she couldn't quite make out. Brooke kept one of her hands in his hair but she slowly moved the other down to grasp his free hand. She let their fingers intertwine and continued to kiss him, nibbling on his lower lip a little before moving her kisses to his jawline. Brooke kissed down his jawline pausing at his ear for a moment to whisper "you taste yummy" before continuing to kiss him with a smile on her lips.

Kenji growled playfully when she giggled at his hand touching her ass. For every kiss he gave it felt as if she returned it and then some. Kenji couldn't but find her both sexy and cute at the same time. From the way she kissed with the way she laughed at the same time. Kenji could see why she was consistently landing spots in the tabloids. Her family reputation, combined with their money and her looks, it was a no brainier. Brooke's images probably helped quite a few of those daily News papers. Kenji would be lying to himself if he ever said looks weren't important. But the fact that she was someone whom he enjoyed being around because of her personality as well.

Kenji grinned at both her and his own realizations. He squeezed her butt once more and kissed her neck, "You should model or something," he breathed into her ear.

Brooke stifled another giggle as Kenji grabbed her ass again, it wasn't that she wasn't used to it, it just seemed to trigger a reaction in her. Brooke broke the kiss for a moment and whispered back "I prefer to share myself with only people I like", with that comment she kissed him again and moved her hand to push up his shirt. Brooke had always had a thing for a guys torso and she always preferred a guy to be bare when they were making out. Brooke never broke the kiss and she continued to push his shirt up, once it reached his upper chest she let him do the rest of the work and just continued to kiss him.

Kenji pealed the shirt from under his neck and over his head breaking the kiss with Brooke for only but a second. She was definitely being a little aggressive by the way she had moved to remove his shirt. "Bad girl," Kenj said as he lightly flexed his muscles on the way down to continue kissing Brooke. He kissed her on the lips once more twisting their heads to deepen the kiss. With one hand son her cheek he slid the other from under her jeans and up to her waist. He then drove it under the top to her uniform and felt the soft skin of her stomach. Kenji grinned as he did so, "why should you have all the fun?" he asked as his hand traced small but sensual circles against the flesh on her side.

Brooke watched with a sexy smirk as Kenji lowered himself back down after revealing his perfect abs to her. It seemed impossible that he was exactly what she liked, toned but not too much muscle. Brooke kissed Kenji back, matching his increased passion but then she broke the kiss for a moment to whisper "I like to know what i'm working with". Brooke returned to kissing Kenji feeling his hand wander, it made her chest tighten for a moment but she decided he had right since she had taken his shirt off. Brooke broke the kiss and took a breath, they were moving incredibly fast and it was a little scary for her, she was very easily caught up in a moment but once she took a breath she kissed him again.

Kenji's hand explored the subtle curves running up from the peak of Brookes waist all the way to the bottom of her breast. Against the thumb of his palm he felt the fabric of her bra. He hesitated momentarily and decided to back off and pushed his hand back down her side once more. Kenji engaged her lips before sliding his tongue back into her mouth. Just as his tongue went in his hand came out from under her shirt. He then placed it on her though just at the bottom of her skirt. He let his hand creep around her lean limb grinning as he pulled his tongue into his mouth but continued to kiss her.

Brooke kissed Kenji deeper though her heart was pounding as his hand explored her body more, she felt him reach the bottom of her bra and then he paused. Brooke let her heart slow a little as she slid his hand back down but she never stopped kissing him. She let his tongue slip into her mouth and began to play with his a little, she could feel his hand slip out of her shirt and move to the hem of her skirt. Brooke pulled him into the kiss even more as he slipped his tongue out, her fingers were once again tangled in his hair and her kisses were as deep as before. Brooke then broke the kiss and began to kiss down his jawline again, this time with was sweet kiss she moved further and further down, making her way to his neck. Kenji's firm hand snaked its way down the outside of her thigh just down to the top of her knee. He raised an eyebrow mid eyes with Brooke an decided to get a little bold with her. He didn't want to push her too much but at the same time he wanted to enjoy himself as well. He felt like surprising Brooke would be a good way to do that.

Kenjis hand began to creep up Brookes leg leaving a soothing warmth as he did so. One he had returned back up to the bottom of her skirt he continued right through. His hand pushed up and under her skirt. Her upper thigh was warmer then the part not covered by the skirt. He continued to push nothing the flawlessness of her skin and the subtle balance of soft and firmness of her muscles. "do you work out?" he muttered at the top of his thumb nicked the thin piece of cloth around the outside of her waist, it was her panties, Kenji grinned down at Brooke as he brought her into another kiss.

Brooke continued kissing her way down Kenji's body but once she reached his lower chest a laid a sweet little kiss there she looked up at him and smiled. She then slid her body back up to kiss his lips, in her kisses of his skin which tasted almost comfortingly like the city she missed the sweetness of his lips and smiled with the pleasure of regaining that taste. Brooke could feel Kenji's hand sliding down her leg and she took in a breath of relief between kisses but then she felt his warm, strong hand make its way back up. Brooke's heart lost the calm it had gained and it was once again beating fast, as Kenji's hand passed the hem of her skirt and moved upwards it felt as if it would leave her chest. Kenji tilted his head, a brief "hmph," came from his closed mouth as his head slide back down her slender leg. Kenji kissed at her once more before his hand could fully make its way from out under the hem of her skirt. He then placed it back onto the side of her uniform and ran his hand up and down once before breaking the kiss. He knew she had said no to something else other then his question. He simply smiled and returned to planing kisses onto her neck. He had to admit, for a moment his heart had skipped a beat, just like it had on the night had caught him beating up the waiter outside of the men's bathroom, in a way he was glad she had said no, he enjoyed the little chase between them. "Then you must have good genes," he murmured into her ear in between the soft quick kisses he continued to land onto her.

Brooke felt Kenji's hand removed from her upper leg and she breathed once again, he heart slowed, he was not mad, he had even played it off, and he had listened to her. All of these things made her want to kiss him even more, he was so different, he pushed her but didn't force her, she liked the excitement, the way her heart raced but when she made herself clear he had listened. Brooke kissed him deeply, nibbling on his lower lip as she broke the kiss, he whispered something to her about good genes and she connected it to his previous comment. Brooke smiled "not in all senses" she whispered before she tilted her head back a little and allowed Kenji to continue planting his kisses, her fingers slid to his bare back and began to slowly and gently run her fingers up and down his back.

Kenji Broke their kisses and glanced over to the clock, e raised an eyebrown when his mind made sense of the time. It was already a little bit past six. Just getting ice cream and making out with her made a few hours feel like mere minutes to Kenji. He liked how she could do that, he was right when he thought that she would be able to offer him good distractions. She was a a welcome change of pace from Kenji's strange lifestyle.

Kenji hopped off the couch and picked up his t-shirt before popping it back on. He walked over to Brooke on the couch with a smirk, "You're uniform is all messed up," he chuckled as he noted where a few buttons had come undone and the skirt had shuffled slightly to the side and down exposing part of her hip. Kenji laughed as he sat back down next to her and playfully pecked her once more on the lips.

Brooke continued to kiss Kenji and run her fingers across his back gently until he broke the kiss and popped himself up off the couch. She had caught his glance at the clock and figured this must be the reason for his ending of the moment. Brooke silently admired his body for the moment that he stood shirtless in front of her. His perfectly toned body made her heart beat a little faster but in a moment it was gone behind the light fabric of his shirt. Brooke smiled at Kenji as he commented on her uniform being a mess and as she began to fix herself she responded with a smirk and "that would not be my fault love" she said.

Once she was all fixed up and Kenji sat back down with her she asked him "so what would you like to do now, you are the one who ended the moment" she reminded him. It had not been overlooked by Brooke that Kenji was always the one who ended their kisses, she wondered about it. Was it simply that he wanted to leave her wanting more, or was it that circumstances forced him to do so or was it more along the lines that he got bored of kissing her. Brooke worried about this but she worked to not let it show on her face, she wanted to push it out of her mind and just live in the now. If only Brooke was not such a perfectionist, it seemed to come out in all aspects of her life and it was sometimes crippling.

Kenji stretched out as he watched Brooke right her uniform once more. Kenji tried to read the look on her face but was unable to decide what she was thinking about. He shrugged off any hopes of translating the look on her face as he began to sat down his short hair. She claimed that he had ended the moment, was she disappointed, did she want more? or was she accusing him of something. All three options perfectly reasonable, he did break off the kiss and he understood the suspicion behind that.
"I wish I could stay here and make out with you all night, and I mean all night," he winked at her, "But I've got to check on something again," his lip twitched, "sorry," he muttered as he walked over to her and kissed her softly on the lips once more, "next time," he said to her before plating yet another kiss on her lips. "I'll hit you up later Brookie," he teased her as he took her hand into his own, "Let's get you on your way."

Brooke saw Kenji studying her for a moment and she knew that her face puzzled him, in some ways she liked that she could have this affect on him. Brooke smiled a genuine smile as Kenji told her he wished he could stay with her all night but that he had business to do. Brooke returned the quick kiss gently and let him help her off the couch, Brooke checked herself in the mirror before letting Kenji kiss her again. She let out a girlish giggle as he called her Brooke and it reminded her of all her nannies over the years who had called her that, it was a loving nickname to her. Brooke gave her hand easily to Kenji and let him lead her out of the condo, she was happy with her choice to share this place with him. She was unsure before when she had told him about it but now she felt so much more comfortable with him.

Walking down the 5 flights of stairs again she had a sweet smile on her face and stepping out onto the street into the dimming light she said in a light tone to Kenji "did you know that we have only met a few days ago and I already hate your job". With that comment she squeezed his hand and then pulled him out to the street to hail a cab which she did with ease.

Kenji opened up the cab door and allowed himself in after Brooke. He told the Cab drive the address to Brookes building with the penthouse on top. "Gotta make sure you get home safe," Kenji chuckled as he fell back into his seat when the cab sped off. By what she had said to him when they were walking down the stairs he was certain that she had been somewhat disappointed in his decision to break off their little make out session on her couch. He was becoming more invested in Brooke but his business was important to him as well. He had managed to make time for Brooke. He was certain she knew this as well but felt the need to say something, "I'll make more time for us later," he hushed to her in the cab as the noises of the city berated the cab windows.

Brooke smiled at Kenji "I know baby, thank you for coming to get me today" she said softly to him, she truly was grateful for his presence at the school and for making Scott back off. Brooke knew she would have to deal with it tomorrow but she knew she could handle it this time. Brooke could tell that Kenji meant what he said when he promised her more time but she didn't want him to feel obligated or that she was needy, she just enjoyed having him with her. Kenji gave her a thrill like nothing else, it was like a non stop adrenaline high with him, even when they were just like this in a cab.

The cab pulled up to her building. It up lit up with lights, Kenji could only imagine what the actualy penthouse looked like. He shook his head with a smile, "home sweet home," he said. But not in a matter to insult Brooke bunt more or less in a way that reminded her she was lucky to have a bed. "Listen, I'll see you soon or something okay?" With that he popped open the cab door, stood, and reached down to guide her out with his hand. Kenji cupped her chin once more then kissed her on the lips. He was unsure but he swore he could have heard a camera or two clicking across the street. At least his face wasn't exposed like last time he thought. "Goodnight Brookie," he whispered to her as he pulled away and stepped back into the cab. As it pulled away his head swiveled back to look at her.

Brooke nodded and gave him a soft smile, she understood what he meant by that and she was well aware that she was lucky but it was not a home but a house. Brooke continued to give him that soft little smile that was very ambiguous as he told her he would see her soon. She stepped out of the cab with him and let him have that little kiss, it was quite an innocent gentle kiss, vastly different from how they had kissed earlier. It left a little tingling feeling on her lips that the others had not and when he said goodnight Brookie she smiled a true smile, she let out a little giggle and responded "goodnight love". Brooke turned and walked straight for the door, she did not pause, she did not turn to look at him but she could feel his eyes looking at her through the back window of the cab. Brooke made her way up to her penthouse and went through simple pleasantries with her father who for once was home. He asked about school and she said fine, and told him all the amazing marks she was getting and he told her work was good and he told her about all the money he was making. This had been their relationship for a long time though she did remember growing up she had always only wanted her father, never her mother but he was never there and she soon grew out of the phase. She believed he still viewed her as daddy's little girl but he was so unable to show it or so unaware that it needed to be displayed. Brooke then headed to her bedroom, undressed, got into sweatpants and a tank top before heading to her antique desk to get her homework done.

Kenji found himself sitting at the table of Mr. Fongs restaurant. Fong had just informed him that the man who had borrowed money from Kenji the other day had intended to pay the money back himself out of his personal account. It would take the man several days to do this as he would slowly withdraw money over a period of a few weeks in order to avoid suspicion from the bank as well as his wife. Kenji sat there smiling, in a few weeks he would almost double his bank account with this next loan. Kenji thought it strange that the night he decided to become a loan shark was the night he met Brooke. It was hard trying to balance business with pleasure but Kenji remained that trying to balance the two was just another thing separating him from those at the top. "Brooke," he muttered to himself as his eyes poured over the numbers he was calculating by hand.

Brooke stared at her work, she seemed to be incredibly distracted and unable to get into the work she was supposed to be doing. She did everything she could to procrastinate, she made a to do list, updated her calendar with all her new assignments and anything else she could think of. There were some nights she was just like this while there were others where she would just get into the work and be able to do it for hours. Brooke gave up after a while of getting nothing done and grabbed her phone, she was about to text her friend but then Kenji's phone caught her eye, it was too soon to text him but she wanted to.

Kenji stumbled out of the restaurant a few hours later after eating as much food as he possibly could. During his time with Brooke he had forgotten to eat something during the course of the day. He didn't mind though, he enjoyed spending another day with Brooke. Eventually he found himself walking into the lobby of another hotel. He rode up the old elevator, down the hall way and into his room. Kenji hit the thermostat to cool down the room a little bit. as it did he tossed off most of his cloths before throwing himself onto the bed. He checked his phone, no word from Brooke, he closed his eyes and tried to doze off.

Brooke sighed and went to pick up the phone, she stared at it for a moment and then threw it in a drawer by her bed and went back to her desk. Brooke got just a little of her work done before she was bored out of her head, the work was monotonous and easy, it was honestly a time waster. Brooke closed her books and then got into bed, she was sleep, after all it had been a long day with Kenji. She curled up on her side hugging a pillow and closed her eyes trying to go to sleep, she truly hated sleeping alone. Brooke reached over and put on some music quietly, Death Cab for Cutie filled her head and allowed her to drift off to sleep. It was 7am and there was music playing again, this music far more upbeat and loud in order to wake her up. Brooke slowly sat up in bed somewhat surprised she had ever fallen asleep, her first thought was to check the phone in the drawer beside her bed. She reached over, grabbed it and stared at the screen.

Kenji woke up at seven fifteen, he was unsure as to what time exactly when he had fallen asleep but he was sure glad that he had caught as many hours as he had. It was a relativly short day for him, he wouldn't need to check the bank, or make too many phone calls. There wouldn't have been any changes from the deal he had made, he simply had to wait for the money to begin flowing into his account. Truth be told he wished Brooke had the day off, maybe he could make that happen he thought to himself. He picked up the cell phone and dialed in her number, pulled up the text screen and typed in, you're ditching class today. He smiled and hit send.

[Taylor]

As Brooke was staring at the phone's screen a text message popped up almost as if she had willed it to. Brooke opened up the text and smiled, she fell back down onto her pillow and laughed a little, she considered it for a moment. She well knew that she could afford to skip class but she wanted to make him agonize about it a little, oh it that so? she replied with a little smirk on her face. Brooke then got out of bed and walked to her washroom, she slowly stripped down, shivering since it was cold and then stepped into a hot shower. After her shower Brooke did her hair and makeup and then, still wrapped in a towel walked back to her bed to check her phone.

Kenji looked back to his phone, a smirk crossed his lips just as his eyes ran over the single line of text. I know so babe said kenji. He hit send but frowned, the message didn't seem enough, especially after what the two of them did on her couch the other day. Kenji then took of his shirt, snapped a picture of his flexed abs, and sent that along to Brooke's phone as well. Feeling quite pleased with himself Kenji put on a normal pair of jeans along with a black t-shirt. He waved to the receptionist as he made his way out of the hotel.

Brooke opened up the text and smirked, she still loved these little games they played, then another message popped up on the screen. Brooke opened it and saw a picture of Kenji flexing his abs, her heart jumped a little but the she bit her lower lip and let her heart calm. She hit reply and thought for a moment what to respond to that, he had no chance of getting a picture back from her, then she had it you have to be more convincing than that if you want to see me today love she hit send, and then satisfied with herself she went to change. Brooke realized that she couldn't fully get dressed until she knew what she was going to do so she just slipped on pantie and a bra and then went back to her bed.

Kenji flipped open the phone only to find that Brooke was offering him another challenge. Are you asking for a naughty picture? Because you should send me one he sent to her as he began strolling down the street. Eventually he walked into a McDonalds and made his obscene order of one of everything on the menu. He left the chain building behind him and begun to hand out the pages as per his usual routine. Once he had finished he found a bench and sat himself down on it. Kenji then glanced down at his phone to see if Brooke had messaged him back.

Brooke looked at the phone and laughed out loud baby, use your words to convince me she hit send and smiled to herself. She could not believe he asked for that, she understood it was all part of their little game but she was still surprised. Brooke then thought of something I have a problem, I can't get dressed until you decide where I am going today so here I am in panties and a bra Brooke was surprised at herself for saying that but at the same time she was smiling. Brooke couldn't wait to see his reaction, she sat staring at the phone just waiting for the little text message icon to come up.

Kenji sat there on the bench, with his phone in hand, he almost jumped when the phoned beeped unexpectedly. Kenji normally kept his phone on vibrate as he didn't like to draw too much attention to himself. He flipped open the phone, and he quickly read her messages.Come on baby, please hang out with me, he sent it knowing that Brooke would be able to hear his teasing voice in just the words. then she mentioned that she was just in her bra and panties, Kenji smirked, Prove it, give me a pic haha. Of course Kenji was only joking, but he wanted to make Brooke squirm even if he couldn't see it.

Brooke smiled at the first text but she knew that was not his response to her second text, she could hear his tone in the text and it made her smile even wider. Brooke then felt her phone buzz again and she saw that he wanted her to prove it with a picture the real life thing is so much better though and you still need to work to get it Brooke had made up her mind that she would hang out with him, it would help her avoid scott and she wanted to see him, in fact she couldn't wait. She rose off her bed and walked to her giant walk in closet Brooke slipped on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a very fitted shirt which showed off her body. She then walked back to her bed and grabbed the phone.

You little tease, come down to the sidewalk. Kenji hit send and placed the phone into his pocket. He was sitting outside Brookes building. Actually he was sitting across the street on a bench. He had quickly called a cab to take him to the building and had even paid the cab driver in advance to get him there faster. Although Kenji had no idea what the two of them would do he was sure it would be fun seeing as he was kidnapping Brooke for the day. Kenji thought about her last message and wondered if she wasn't kidding about letting him see the real thing.

Brooke read the text and pushed herself up and off the bed, she put a pair of knee high boots on and grabbed her cellphone and purse. Brooke knew that by now her father would be gone for work and her mother would still be sleeping so she had no problem getting out of the house out of uniform. Brooke took the elevator down and walked outside her building. She looked around for Kenji and at that moment he pulled up in the cab and stepped out and towards her. Brooke smiled and closed the space between them, slipping her arms around his neck and hugging him "you love that I am a tease baby" she whispered in his ear before pulling away.

Kenji chuckled as Brooke ran up to him and hugged him. He was still weary of the tabloids so he quickly pulled Brooke into the cab with him. The cab began to speed off with the two of them in it. Soon Brooke's building had faded out of the rear view mirror in the cab. "How about we grab some breakfast?" asked Kenji as he sat back into the seat of the cab with the smug smile on his face. He then leaned close to her for a moment, "So will I get to see the real thing?" he whispered in her ear as not to let the cab driver hear him.

"Breakfast sounds good, coffee is necessary" she said softly with a sweet smile as Kenji began to lean close to her. His mouth was at her ear and he whispered to her asking whether or not he would get to see the real thing. "Ill decide once you impress me, because you have yet to" she said with a sexy smirk, she knew he would be offended by that but he had to know it wasn't true, she had been impressed many times by him, but it was true that he would only get the real thing when he impressed her even more. Brooke pulled away from him while continuing to smirk "how was your sleep baby?" she asked sweetly, changing the topic but keeping the smirk on her face.

"Driver take us to a cafe," Said Kenji as he resumed leaning back in his seat. He looked over to Brooke who was wearing a little smirk on her face, "you could always let me impress you after i see the real thing." Kenji winked as he bounced in his seat as the cab took a left turn. "I slept fine, what about you?" he asked her. The cab passed by Brookes school which caused Kenji to chuckle, "Look," he said as he watched students who were wearing the uniform similar to Brookes enter the building with depressed looks on their faces. "What do they have to be sad about," Kenji muttered almost disgusted.

"Why boo, do you honestly need more incentive than you already have?" she said continuing to smirk, "I slept well baby but I do hate sleeping alone" she said, softening her tone for the second part. Brooke heard Kenji mutter something about all the kids at her school which they had just passed "do you think I have nothing to be sad about either?" she asked him curiously. She was of the strong belief that money did not buy happiness since she had lived it, it would be a huge problem for her if he were to believe it did. While Brooke understood that her issues were not the same as those who are homeless or starving or from abusive homes, they were very real to her and he needed to accept that. Brooke waited patiently for his answer but she was very unsure of what she would do if it was not the answer she wanted from him.

"No, but should stop acting like they've got hard lives," is all Kenji said as the cab had finished passing the school and the stream of uniforms dried up. The cab took another turn down another road and soon they ended up in front of a quaint little cafe somewhere in what Kenji believed to be SoHo. "You know this place?" he asked her as he handed the cab driver some money to cover the fare as well as a generous tip. Kenji led her out of the can, then into the cafe. The two of them took a booth away from the windows where they could have some privacy. Kenji rocked back and fourth of the cushion of the booth before finally settling into it, "your couch was more comfortable," he chuckled.

[Taylor]

"Baby, money doesn't buy happiness, we have different kinds of hard lives, I have never felt real love from anyone with the exception of the hired help who raised me" Brooke said this with a very straight face, maybe the most serious she had ever been with Kenji so far. Brooke's fingers were intertwined with Kenji's and she squeezed his hand a little and looked at him with shiny eyes. This was not a subject she liked to brush on, she was very good at putting up a fun and flirty front but she was very sensitive and vulnerable. She was surprised at herself for letting him see this side of her but at the same time proud of herself for opening up.

[Sousuke]

Kenji shook his head, "I promise you, that doesn't match up with the stuff people put up with on the streets," Kenji looked up as a waitress approached the both of them in their little booth. "Coffee and scrambled eggs," said kenji as his eyes shifted to Brookes. He understood why she had said what she did, but he also understood most of those kids were probably frowning not because they felt unloved but for more selfish reasons. But he didn't want to bring it up again with Brooke, he just waned to enjoy a quiet day almost nothing. He smiled into her blue eyes as he tugged on her hand urging her to both order and forget what they were talking about.

[Taylor]

"babe... you seriously don't understand?" she said sounding very hurt, she simply ordered coffee from the waitress, she was very upset and didn't feel like eating. Brooke stared into Kenji's grey eyes with her own which had turned grey, her eyes always shifted with her mood and they were a tell tale sign that she was upset. She understood that what people on the streets went through was awful but regardless of what the problems are they are very real to those who are experiencing them. She may have never had to fight to have food or a roof over her head but the emotional struggle growing up was a different kind of awful. She never felt like she was enough for her parents and it killed her, she had learned to cope over time but that came with a lot of struggles over the short years she had lived. Brooke had battled many things as a result of her upbringing and from it she was stronger but that didn't make her problems any less real.

"You can't act like I'm exactly wrong Brooke," siad Kenji a little harshly as the waitlress brought them their food. Kenji sipped on his coffee, wincing a little as the heat reached the roof of his mouth, "Forget I said anything," he muttered as he took a fork and pushed around the scrambled eggs. Kenji began to remember why he didn't do dates, he hated it when girls got all quiet and emotional like this. Sure he cared about Brookes feelings, but not more so than his own beliefs or his experiences. Emotional problems were of little concern to Kenji when he considered what he had gone through as a child on the street. He brought a fork full of eggs to his mouth, chewed and swallowed.

[Taylor]

Brooke stared at Kenji and then rolled her big, now grey, eyes, she didn't like that he didn't understand her or accept that she could have problems. She really didn't like the harsh tone he used with her before proceeding to silently eat his eggs. Brooke sipped her coffee and looked at him at he ate, he seemed to eat like he was protecting his food, she guessed it was instinct from being on the street. She understood him and what he had been through, why was he so incapable of doing the same with her. She continued to sip her coffee and stare at Kenji waiting for him to say something, she was not going to be the one who broke the silence since he was the one who had brought it on.

[Sousuke]

Kenji continued to munch away at his food quietly, why do chicks always think the silent treatment is a punishment, he thought to himself as he continued to eat the eggs. Kenji could only imagine what she was thinking about, she was clearly upset with what he had said about rich kids not having any problems. But in some ways he believed it was true, especially compared to those who weren't blessed with the same bank accounts. He didn't really feel like he owed it Brooke to agree with her. "I don't care if you don't agreed with me, but you can't change my mind Brooke," he muttered as he finished the eggs and sipped once more from the coffee, "Would you just forget it already." he said in between another few sips of coffee.

[Taylor]

"I just want you to recognize that maybe my life hasn't been fucking perfect just because I have money" she said in an icy tone as she tried to control her volume "I am so god damn sick of people thinking that" she finished in the same cold tone. She stared at him as he so calmly ate his eggs and drank his coffee, asking her to once again just drop it. One thing about Brooke was that she didn't like to drop things when she was invested in them, she didn't need to be fighting with Kenji, she so badly wanted them to just be happy but if she didn't talk about it her happiness with him would be fake. She needed to discuss it and he had to get used to that, he was being so stubborn, yes her life had been blessed in many ways that his had not but that did not mean she was not allowed to have real issues. It is not like she was comparing typical rich white girl problems like her parents not letting her borrow the car to his very real problems, the issues she was pointing out were real, and very real to her.

Kenji lazily rolled his eyes when Brooke got harsh with him. He wasn't going to lose his temper with her seeing as he always kept his cool in hot situations. "World doesn't revolve around you Brooke," he said as he finished sipping his coffee. He would see that Brooke was deeply hurt but he felt no need to apologize for his belief that whatever she had gone through had not been nearly as bad as what she had. "Have you considered that there are kids who have emotional problems as well as no home and food," he pulled out some money from his pocket and tossed it on the table, "Like I said, get over it," he said as he got up and proceeded outside of the cafe. Kenji felt that it was a waste of time trying to talk with Brooke over this issue. He had his beliefs, and she had hers, he could care less about her trying to convince him that she was right. Maybe she was but that wouldn't change anything, at least not in his mind.

[Taylor]

Brooke glared at Kenji as he rolled his eyes at her and when he said that the world didn't revolve around her she was about to get up and walk out. That was one of those comments that killed her, it was something her father had said to her when he did see her that would make her burst into tears because she tried so hard to not be like that and everyone else she knew. The problem was, Kenji beat her to the walking out, she sat at the table silently biting her lower lip and holding her breath. Kenjis words had been so incredibly hurtful and she had a feeling he knew that and didn't really care. Finally Brooke took in a gasp of air but was still struggling to keep herself calm. Once she was very sure that Kenji was gone from outside the cafe she pulled out her phone and called Leo to pick her up. She knew he could hear how shaky her voice was on the phone and he said he would be there within minutes. Brooke knew that Leo would never chastise her for skipping school and would just listen to her. She rose to her feet and walked to the door of the cafe, she pushed her way out the door and into the sunlight and waited for Leo to come get her.

Kenji had made his way down the alley sidewalk, his hands stuffed into his pockets, his shoulders slumped over. He didn't worry about Brooke being safe, he knew she could take care of herself. Kenji had adopted what he called a no bullshit policy in which if he didn't like something meaningless rubbed him the wrong way, he walked away from it. He figured it was better that he cut his losses and get out of there for the time being. Would he talk to Brooke again, he didn't know, at that moment he didn't really care. He didn't see why she couldn't just drop it, he grumbled on as he made his way down the street not knowing where he was headed.

[Taylor]

Soon Brooke saw Leo pull up with the limo, he quickly got out, knowing she usually got in on her own before he could open the door for her, and opened the door. Brooke got into the limo and lay back in the seat, closing her eyes "Leo, I am stupid" she said softly and she pressed her fingers to the bridge of her nose. "Ms. Astor, you are a very intelligent girl, what is going on?" he asked her in a caring voice "I thought this guy was so different but the truth is no one will see me as anything different from how they view the entire upper east side" she said sadly to him. Leo had been with the family since before she was born and he and Brooke had a very good relationship "I skipped school for this guy and the truth is he just sees me as some selfish, ignorant rich girl" she continued in a soft tone. "Brooke," Leo said in a less formal tone "if this boy cannot see you are so very different from your parents and all the other people your age then he is truly blind. This boy cannot see what goodness is and doesn't understand your life because he lives trapped in his own past" Leo said. Brooke pondered this thought a moment, it was astonishing that Leo could pin Kenji down without her telling him a word about Kenji's past. "I don't want to go to school, but I guess I have no choice, is my mother still home or can I get in to change without getting caught?" she asked him softly.

It had been two weeks since Kenji had spoken with Brooke. They had an argument over the problems of the rich. Of course Kenji still believed that Brooke had taken what he had said a little too personally. It wasn't as if he had been talking about her, but she spoke as if he did, which was why Kenji had told her, the world didn't revolve around her. On occasion he would check his phone only to find she hadn't messaged him, of course he hadn't messaged her either. The only reason he was recalling Brooke at this particular moment in time was the fact that he had just received another payment back from the man he had loaned money to several weeks ago after meeting Brooke.

He had negotiated the deal with her watching the entire time. Kenji flipped through a newspaper he was reading in the lobby of the bank. He saw a picture of Brooke in the gossip section of the paper. He wondered if he should call her, but the thought perished from his mind once a bank associate had waved him over, he wanted to check the fullness of the bank account himself, it was something Kenji always did.

[Taylor]

Brooke, since that day which she left the cafe had not spoken to Kenji, though he had crossed her mind several times and she would open her beside table drawer and stare at the phone she had not texted him on a matter of principle. Brooke spent her time having mindless conversation with the boys at her school including Scott and with the girls who may have been even stupider than the boys. Brooke threw herself into her art and managed in just two short weeks to create a couple stunning pieces, or so people said they were, she tended to be very hard on herself. Brooke's picture with several different boys had been in the paper since she had last saw Kenji and she was sure he had seen the pictures, she almost expected a text from him but he seemed to be as stubborn as her. Her true question was if he was thinking about her as much as she was about him?

Brooke was on her way home from school and had chosen to walk since it was a nice day outside, she had the phone in her purse along with her own as she did most days. Brooke made a stop and a starbucks and ordered her typical, grande half sweet, non fat, caramel brule latte, with her drink in hand she took the big couch at the back of the starbucks and spread out her books on the coffee table and began to study for her upcoming test in world issues.

Kenji had run his eyes over the bank reps computer screen, the bank account had already regained what he had loaned out, this payment was the first of the interest payments. A small, smile found it's way on Kenjis lips, not at the money, but at the fact that one of his plans had worked once again. Kenji took a printout with him of the bank statement as he liked to have Fong keep records of each transaction, it was tedious but necessary in his line of work.

Kenji left the bank and began pacing around the blocks. He had already made his rounds, as well as returned his calls. It was times like this during the past two weeks that made him want Brooke to be there to keep him busy. During her absence from his side he had returned to working out at the gym regularly, but today he didn't feel like doing that. As he rounded another block he spotted a Starbucks which had some seats outside. He decided to help himself to one and sit down, "What to do," he muttered to himself.

[Taylor]

Brooke was bent over her books with her laptop open on then table and her headphones in her ears blasting her music. She was mouthing along to the lyrics being careful not to sing since she had the worst voice ever. Brooke's eyes were glued to her textbook as she took notes from the chapter and every so often glanced at the articles displayed on her laptop talking about the financial crisis in Europe. Brooke liked world issues despite the fact that all her teacher did everyday was scream at the class about how scary things are. I didn't matter anyways since like most teachers he loved Brooke for her witty comments and her interest in what was going on in the world around her. She had traveled to many places and seen so much suffering that she couldn't help but be invested in keeping herself informed. Her business mind also kept her interested in the economic issues worldwide. So Brooke sat there, not looking up, just occasionally sipping her coffee until she heard a familiar voice order a drink. It was Scott, since their confrontation about two weeks ago they had been better and she smiled at him as he looked over at her. She then looked beyond him and saw a man sitting outside who looked so much like Kenji but she convinced herself that it couldn't be him.

[Sousuke]

Kenji felt his stomach rumble uneasily. He groaned as he realized he hadn't eaten or drank anything since last night. He stood up from the outside table and stepped inside the coffee house. He gingerly took a place in line and when he had reached the front of the line he asked for their strongest blackest coffee. He then left them with his name and took a seat near the bar counter so he could quickly take his drink and leave. Soon one of the employees called his name, "black coffee for Kenji!" said the man. Kenji got up, thanked him, and took his coffee. As he began to step outside he checked his phone for the time, he sighed, "Nothing but time," he muttered.

[Taylor]

Scott once getting his drink came over to her and started to talk to her, they discussed school and what they were doing the coming weekend, there was a big party as usual. Brooke smiled sweetly at him as he sat down beside her and continued to distract her from her studying. Brooke then heard the employee call out an order, she then froze and looked up, just as she did she saw Kenji leaving the coffee shop. She knew deep down it had been him outside all along but before she could deny it, now she couldn't. Brooke told Scott quickly that she would be right back and pushed herself out of her seat. She walked quickly out of the starbucks and then paused for a moment, what was she doing? why was she chasing after him? but she soon found out that it was too late. Kenji turned around and looked up at her and she remained frozen "uh..." she said softly.

[Sousuke]

Kenji cocked his head to the side, his eyes bounced up off the ground several times before his head righted itself and his brows unwound, "Brooke," he said casually. Kenji felt his palm heating up from the cot coffee in the paper thin cup in his hand. The corners of his lips twitched not sure if they should frown or smile but eventually they remained in a blank line, "How have you been?" asked Kenji as he twisted his torso as to allow people to pass next to him as they walked by him and Brooke. He hadn't expected to talk to her already, but how long had it been? Two days, he reminded himself.

[Taylor]

Brooke stared at Kenji somewhat blankly "I... uhh, I have been alright, what about you" she asked him formally. She seemed to be talking very impersonally as if their days together had never happened and he was just some acquaintance. She continued to look at him blankly as she waited for an answer and contemplated what she would say next. He was standing there almost as unsure as her but he managed to keep his tone incredibly casual, so casual that it was almost painful to her. Her eyes seemed to be incredibly blue today which greatly contrasted the intense grey of his own. She didn't even see a flicker of excitement when he stared at her, his eyes simply seemed as frozen and he was.

[Sousuke]

"I've been okay," he said as he downed another sip of coffee. His eyes scanned the features of Brookes face, trying to read it, however she had maintained a blank look. Kenji was unsure as to what he should tell her. He twisted his torso once more as another man passed by him. "Good to see you've been alright Brooke," said Kenji. Of course he was sure Brooke wanted him to say something, anything really at this point. But nothing really came to mind. But she didn't seem mad at him anymore which was a good thing. His lips simply twitched themselves into a smile, "I'll hit you up later Brooke," he said before turning around to disappear into the crowd.

[Taylor]

Brooke bit her lower lip as she looked at Kenji, a smile came across his face and she bit her lower lip harder to prevent a smile from coming across her own. Kenji then turned and walked into the crowd but not before telling her he would talk to her soon. Brooke stood there and watched Kenji's back as he disappeared into the crowd, once she could no longer see him she lingered there for just another moment. Brooke then turned and walked back into the Starbucks to Scott, he was sitting there on the couch and when she walked in he looked at her as if he had been watching her outside. "So hes back" he said icily but Brooke just shrugged and sat down beside him, she didn't want to discuss this with him, especially after hearing his tone. "Brooke he was an asshole to you" he said in the same harsh tone, she looked at him and paused "so were you, but here you are sitting beside me" she said matching his cold tone. She stared at him with her bright blue eyes and he just shut up "I guess I am very forgiving, but maybe I won't be next time so don't push it" she said to him. Brooke then turned back to her books and continued on as if nothing had happened.

Kenji had let most of the day pass by without a single incident. After he ran into Brooke at the starbucks he went into downtown to have some lunch. Once he did that he found his way at the golds gym in town.He stayed there for several hours quietly working out by himself. Once he had finished he had his way back to the hotel where he showered and napped until his alarm clock set off at five P.M.


"Five o'clock huh?" mumbled kenji as he picked up his phone. He slowly clicked down the list of names until he found Brooke/princess. He then typed up a few messages, read them, then deleted them. He repeated this process until he finally settled on, "Hey, dinner, my treat?" he sent her. He put the phone back on his nightstand as he tried to wake himself up.

[Taylor]

Brooke stayed there for another couple hours or so before packing up her books, saying a quick good bye to Scott and heading home. She liked to study there because it was a way to get out of the house that her parents approved of. Once she was home she checked the phone and when she saw no word from Kenji she brought it with her and heading into the studio she had set up. Brooke began to work on her painting, it was an image of a woman's bare back as she walked into a dark lake. All around was a forest with brightly colored flowers crowding the forest floor.

Brooke then felt the phone vibrate on her lap, she put down her paintbrush and picked up the phone. It was an invite to dinner, Brooke paused for a moment as she thought about whether to go or not and then she realized she was fooling herself. Brooke would never be able to resist going to dinner with Kenji so she hit reply and typed when are you picking me up? At this point Brooke had not forgotten what had caused them to stop talking but she had let it go. She missed him too much over the past few days to worry about some fight.

Kenji had just finished ironing his dress shirt when his phone had lit up, "Brooke," he said to himself as he picked up the phone knowing that it had to be her. A small smile drew itself upon his face when she had asked him what time he would be picking her up. No games, just a straight froward answer. "She must have be excited," he said to himself as he placed the iron up as not to burn his shirt. Kenji's fingers glided over the touchscreen of the phone before he began to type out a message.

In one hour, wear something nice. Kenji hit send before setting his pants out on the ironing board. Once he finished that he hopped into the shower, whistling as he washed himself. "Where should we go?" he asked himself as he paused his own whistling.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled at the text and then closed up her paints and headed to her washroom to wash up. Brooke cleaned up and then began to fix her hair and as she stared at herself in the mirror she couldn't help but smile. She was happy he had texted her and her stomach was full of butterflies, she couldn't believe she was so nervous about seeing him. Brooke then put on some more makeup and then walked to her closet to pick out what to wear. Brooke searched through her racks and racks of dresses and finally after trying on several dresses she decided on a deep blue fitted v neck dress which showed off her legs and chest. Brooke slipped it on and then walked to her full length mirror and stared at herself. She decided Kenji would like this dress, it brought out her eyes so they looked insanely blue. Brooke then looked at her phone and saw that 50 minutes had already passed so she slipped on a pair of black heels and grabbed a purse and headed to sit in the living room. She then pulled out the cellphone and texted him come upstairs to the penthouse

Kenji had arrived in the pinstripe suit which Brooke had picked out for him their first outing together. He was sitting in the backseat of the cab when he flipped open his phone and saw the text message. Instantly glad he had decided to wear the expensive suit Kenji jumped out of the cab but not before instructing the driver to wait for him and to keep the meter running.

Once kenji made it into the ground floor he told the receptionist he had some serious business up at the penthouse. The suit made Kenji's claim all the more believable. Kenji was granted access for the special elevator which was the only one that could go to the penthouse. He rode it all the way up before getting out. The elevator opened up into a short hallway that led to a door. Kenji stepped through and knocked on Brookes door. "Hello, room service," he said, chuckling a little at the end.

[Taylor]

Brooke waited for a few minutes, her heart pounding in her chest and her constantly checking herself in the mirror. She then heard a knock on the door and in a voice that was so distinctly Kenji she heard 'room service'. Brooke laughed and rose to open the door for Kenji, when she opened the door she saw him dressed in a suit she instantly recognized as the one she had picked out for him days before. She was glad she had dressed appropriately and was not overdressed for whatever he had planned. Brooke smile smiled at Kenji and said a soft, innocent "hello" as she saw his eyes look her over.

Kenji gave her the up down with is grey eyes, "Nice dress," he said to her as he took her hand an led her back towards the elevator. The ride was silent all except for the elevator music. Kenji held Brookes hand firmly the entire way until they were out of the building. they had ducked through the lobby to avoid being seen. "Driver, take us someplace nice," he said as he closed the door behind him. "What you been up to?" he asked her casually as the cab pulled away from the curb. Of course he had seen the pictures of her with other guys, but him and Brooke had never been anything official so he didn't really mind. Besides, he knew what she thought of those guys anyways.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled and thanked Kenji as he complimented her on the dress. Brooke felt Kenji's tight grip on her hand almost as if he didn't want to lose her again "Figures you don't have a plan" Brooke said with a smirk as they slipped into the cab. Kenji asked her what she had been up to and she knew he would have seen the pictures of her with other guys just as he had seen the picture of them the other day "the typical stuff" she said softly. Brooke turned to look at Kenji "what about you?" she asked in the same soft tone, her stomach was still full of nerves and she squeezed his hand a little out of habit in an attempt to calm herself. This was the first fancy date they had been on and it seemed so different from every other time they had hung out, Kenji had seen Brooke all done up before in her beautiful red gown the night they had met but the way he looked at her tonight seemed different.

Kenji shook his head, "The only restaurants I frequent aren't legit," he said in explanation of telling the cab driver to take them someplace nice as he had put it earlier. "Can't have you seen at those types of places," he added as his body swayed when the cab had taken a turn. Kenji felt Brooke squeezing his hand a little more then she normally did. Did she really miss him that much or was she nervous, Kenji figured it was one of the two, either way she didn't seem mad anymore. "Sorry about saying that stuff," he said as his eyes glanced out of the cab window. The cab had stopped at a respectable three star restaurant, not the fanciest but definitely a place where Kenji felt he could be comfortable. "Let's go," he said as he offered her his hand after stepping outside of the cab and paying the driver.

[Taylor]

Brooke smiled at Kenji "or course not love" she said softly as she leaned into him with the turn. Brooke couldn't help but want to kiss Kenji when he apologized for what he had said previously but she resisted her urge and just continued to smile and said a soft "me too". Once the cab stopped at a restaurant Brooke recognized but not one she frequented with her parents of friends, "perfect" she said softly. Somehow Kenji knew how to take her out places she would enjoy without having to see anyone she knew, she smiled at him as she stepped out of the cab with his help "you think we are going to be the best looking couple here" she whispered in his ear as she leaned into him and giggled. Kenji always managed to bring out this cute, bubbly, flirty side of her that she had a lot of fun with.

Kenji smiled slightly at her question as to if they would or would not be the best looking couple there, "I didn't know we were a couple," he teased as he opened the door to the restaurant for her. He followed her into the restaurant and the two of them were quickly ushered in by a waiter who instantly recognized Brooke. The waiter showed them a table but Kenji shook his head, "One in the back," he slipped a roll of cash into the waiters pocket who nodded and took them to the much more private booths in the back. Kenji sat down across from Brooke. The two of them were handed menus by the waiter who had stealthily disappeared into the crowd of people, kenji looked to Brook and smirked before opening his mouth, but before he could the waiter appeared, "I'll have a streak," Kenji said to the waiter who was now looking to Brooke for her order.

[Taylor]

Brooke giggle "of course we are baby" she said in a very sarcastic tone but it had a hint of sweetness to it. Brooke bit her lower lip remembering what it was like to kiss him, how he tasted and how they moved together so perfectly. Brooke smiled at Kenji as he asked for a table in the back "he want to be alone with me" she joked with the waiter but she knew Kenji was probably doing it to keep from the prying eyes of any photographers. Once they were sitting across from each other and had menus in their hands Brooke tried to concentrate on reading the menu but she kept glancing up at him. It seemed so quickly that the waiter came expecting her order and she paused, she had no idea. Brooke looked at the menu again and saw some sort of salmon so she simply ordered that. Brooke then looked at Kenji again who seemed as if he wanted to say something but had been cut off. "yes love?" she asked him softly then she paused "this is our first grown up date" she joked with a cute little giggle.

Kenji pursed his lips into a small smile, "It's nothing," he said to her as the waiter brought them two glasses of water and a larger pitched of iced water. Kenji sat there with his mouth closed as the waiter poured water for them. The entire time Kenji kept his eyes trained on Brooke, still trying to gauge her emotions. "So you were just playing around with those other guys," he said casually before taking a sip of water from the glass. He cleared his throat, and just as he did the waiter brought out their food for them.

[Taylor]

Brooke looked at Kenji confused when he said it was nothing, he had a strange look on his face and she highly doubted it was nothing. Brooke saw Kenji staring at her intently and she looked up at the waiter, smiling and thanking him for the water. Brooke's attention was then turned back to Kenji, he had the same look on his face and then he spoke, he mentioned the other guys which he had clearly seen pictures of with Brooke in the tabloids. Brooke paused, she took a sip of her water, he was right when he said she was just playing the those boys and her feelings for them were vastly different then her feelings for him but she was surprised he didn't already know that. She put her glass down and looked at him innocently "Kenji, you should know I would never be serious with any of those guys" she said before pausing "they are so... typical" she continued and then after another long pause she finished "they were not like you" she said softly. She was worried he would take that the wrong way and think she was moving to quickly but it wasn't that at all, she just wanted him to know he was the kind of guy she not only wanted, but needed.

As Brooke spoke Kenji took the knife in his hand and began to cut up the steak before him. His eyes shifted between the meal, and her, he found it easy to pay attention to both. When she had told him that the other guys were typical and not like him, a small smile found itself on his lips. "I wasn't worried about those other guys you know," he said as he took a cut of steak into his mouth. As kenji chewed on it he looked to Brooke, trying to read the emotions beaming from her eyes. "Let's just enjoy this," he said solemnly after swallowing and taking another cut of steak into his mouth. "But I am glad you came out," he said as he lifted another cut of steak to his own lips.

Brooke saw a soft smile come across Kenji's face and she couldn't help but let her face shift to match his. Her smile was soft and sweet but it said a lot about how she was feeling and he eyes seemed to also show her emotion so well. Brooke was putting it all out there for this guy and she had absolutely no idea what possessed her to do it. Brooke laughed a little when Kenji said he wasn't worried about the other guys anyways but she could see it was just a front he was putting up. Brooke watched him cut his steak up methodically and when his tone changed as he said they should just enjoy this moment and that he was glad she came out she paused and looked at him. "Kenji, what's wrong?" she asked him softly, his tone, his gestures, and simply what he was saying seemed so off. She wasn't sure if it seemed in genuine, forced or rehearsed but it just wasn't what she expected of him at this moment. What had happened to that adventurous guy with that unbelievable smirk that she had met that night at the charity event?

Kenji swallowed another piece of steak before wiping his mouth with a napkin. He shook his head as he heard Brooke's question, "Nothings wrong." His eyes surveyed the restaurant before returning to Brooke, "we're just in a nice place is all and I'm not trying to draw attention." Kenji then reached down into his pocket, his eyes glanced down to see his phone, he slipped it back into his pocket before returning his attention to Brooke. "You can't expect me to go threatening and ripping people off every time can you?" he chuckled as he continued to eat, "Like I said, let's just enjoy this night out." Kenji offered Brooke a bite of steak from his fork.

Brooke looked at Kenji and only when he joked about threatening and ripping people off did her smile return to her face. She laughed a little and her whole body relaxed "but I like you like that" she said jokingly with her laughter spreading to her eyes which were incredibly blue tonight. Brooke leaned forward and took the steak from his fork with his mouth, chewing it slowly and then saying "yum, do you want any fish?". She was starting to like that Kenji could be that reckless guy she found so attractive but could still take her out nice like this. "Do I get the other Kenji back later tonight?" she asked him softly with a mischievous smirk on her face which said so much.

Kenji shook his head when Brooke had asked if he wanted some fish, the words coming from his mouth reflecting this, "No, that's all I eat at Fong's," he said with a chuckle as he pulled his fork from Brooke's mouth and returned it back to his steak. When Brooke had asked if she would get other Kenji back later that night he raised an eyebrow, "Later tonight?" he repeated with a grin. "We'll see," he said calmly. Of course in his mind he wondered what Brooke meant by that, but before his mind could race any further he remembered his own words to her, enjoy the evening, his mind said to him before he smiled to Brooke before finishing his meal.

Brooke continued to smirk at Kenji as he raised his eyebrow at her, she knew what he was wondering but she was honestly unsure what she even meant by what she had said. She just sort of wanted the other him back but now she had put herself into a position. She wasn't entirely sure she dislike the position she had put herself in but she hadn't decided that she liked it. Brooke knew she wanted his kisses again but she couldn't flat out say that so she just kept her mouth shut on that topic. At least for a few minutes she stayed quiet, then she spoke again "yes when you come cuddle with me" she said in an incredibly innocent voice as she tried to make her face match that innocence.

"Cuddle?" he said questioningly as his grin widened ever so slightly, "if that's what you want to call it," he said in a low voice before. Was she planning on taking him back to her cozy apartment in SoHo after dinner, or was she just making a little joke, playing the game that the two of them often did together. Only time would tell, Kenji finished his meal and placed a tip on the table. When the waiter came over with the check Kenji simply handed him several bills, "ready to go?" he asked her as he stood up out of his chair.

Brooke smiled at Kenji sort of mumbled 'if that's what you want to call it' his tone and what he said made her want to giggle but she resisted the urge and simply continued to smile. "Thank you for dinner baby" she said softly as they rose from their seats and exited the restaurant. Brooke's hand was snug in Kenji's much larger one "where to now?" she asked him softly though she knew where he was thinking she didn't want to offer it, she wanted him to ask her.

"What do you mean?" asked Kenji as the two of them made their way past the other restaurant patrons. Once outside Kenji hailed a cab, and allowed himself in after Brooke. The cab sat there with both Kenji and Brooke silent for several moments , "You're the one who said cuddling," said Kenji finally before glancing over to Brooke with a grin, "So do you want to go to a cheap hotel or what" he asked her, daring her to step her game up.

"Do you think the princess wants to go to a cheap hotel" she retorted quickly, her eyes were set on his almost as if on top of the conversation they were having which was a battle in itself, they were having a was war with their eyes. Brooke had a sexy smirk on her face as she stared at him "say what you want Kenji, I know where you want to go" she said in the same tone as he had used with her. This little game they seemed to be playing was exciting and new to Brooke, it was a step above anything they had played before or anything she had played with anyone. This whole thing just made her want to lean forward and kiss Kenji but she had to hold her position and continue on in this game.

Kenji sat back into the seat of the cab, "SoHo," he said confidently, the driver nodded towards Kenji in the rear view mirror. The cab set off from the curb and made it's way towards the neighborhood. Though Kenji was not sure of the exact address of Brooke's apartment, "Give him the address," he said as his cocky grin reemerged. Though in his head he was unsure as to what he would actually do with Brooke once they reached her apartment. Of course he wanted to sleep with her, but certain he wanted to do more than just cuddle with her.

Brooke smiled as Kenji very confidently directed the cab driver to SoHo, he did exactly what she had wanted, took charge. Brooke very willingly gave the driver her address without ever taking her eyes off Kenji. That cocky grin made him so irresistible to her but she was so unsure of how far she was willing to go with this guy. The truth was that she really just hated sleeping alone but she also was so incredibly attracted to this guy that she didn't know what her mind would do. She had quite strong morals and was quite certain she would not sleep with him tonight but that honestly depended on how convincing he was once they started. Brooke was a virgin, not that she put it out there, she was, but somehow Kenji seemed to bring something out in her and she trusted him so much. Her trust in him scared her a little bit because usually when she trusted she got hurt and she didn't want him to do that to her.

The cab had arrived at Brooke's apartment in SoHo. Kenji paid the cab driver and got out with Brooke in tow. The two of them entered the building, and traveled up several flights before they reached the door to Brooke's apartment. Kenji had not made up his mind about what the two of them were going to do or rather, what he was planning on doing. But he figured he had nothing better to do that night. Was that really why Kenji was there hanging out with Brooke, because he was bored, he would be lying to himself if he said that wasn't part of the reason why. Still part of him did enjoy her company, he looked to the door then to her, "Well?" he asked her with the grin that had never once left his face.

Brooke ran up the stairs with Kenji and once they were inside her apartment with the door shut she took a breath. Kenji turned to her with that irresistible grin and said 'well?' she paused, then dropped her purse on the floor, not caring where it landed, and moved towards him. Brooke's body was pressed against Kenji's as she slipped her arms around his neck "well?" she repeated with a smirk on her face as she looked up at him. In this moment everything seemed flawless, there wasn't an ounce of hesitation in Brooke and she saw that there was none in Kenji. Brooke paused as Kenji spoke, his words seemed to mystify her in her present state, she was in no mood for contemplating what he meant by that and when he kissed her ever so gently the words flew right out of her head. But when Kenji pulled away he left her wanting so much more, Brooke bit her lower lip and continued to look up at Kenji and then, after a moment of hesitation she pulled him back in. Brooke kissed Kenji deeper than he had kissed her and much longer before pulling away to gauge his reaction.

Kenji's grin only widened after Brooke had kissed him so passionately. He allowed his hands to run up and down the back of her dress before allowing a hand to slide under her and squeezing her ass. Kenj eyes flickered open as the sunlight hit them. Something hard pressed against his back or so he thought. When his eye searched around him he had fallen from whatever surface he was sleeping on, onto the hardwood floor of the apartment. Brooke rolled over on the bed, her eyes opening slowly but still not all the way, she then looked down to see Kenji on the floor. Kenji wasn't wearing anything but his boxers and she then found that she was completely nude under the covers. Brooke's memories of last night flooded back, it was strange that she had forgotten all that had happened while she slept, it was almost as if she was drunk. Brooke continued to look down at Kenji with a soft smile on her face "good morning baby, planning on coming back to bed or is the floor more comfortable?" she said all with a very light tone. The enormity of what she had done last night didn't seem to register in her mind, Brooke, despite her friends and environment had very high morals but it felt so right with Kenji that she didn't regret anything at the moment.

kenji rolled on the floor, now he knew why his head hurt, he had only gotten a hour or two of sleep and had suddenly been jerked from the depths of it. his mind replayed the events of last night, thw two of them naked on her couch were about to have sex ontop of it but she mentioned there was a bed, which is what led them to where they were. He recalled having Brooke multiple times in order to satisfy his wants as well as her own. A grin crept on his lips as he recalled the squeals and other noises Brooke made throughout the night. Kenji stood up and sat down on the side of the bed. He then turned to face Brooke with his devilish grin, it was a school day, right now she should have been heading to class, but was laying in bed under the covers naked.

Kenji licked his lips and crawled confidently towards Brooke before kissing her on the lips once more. A single finger of his began to tug the covers down from her body, stopping them just below her collarbone. He Broke the kiss and hungrily whispered into her ear, "Hey."

Brooke watched Kenji, her eyes locked on that grin of his as he crawled toward her on the bed. When his lips met hers she kissed him back, matching the passion with which he kissed her and when he pulled away the slightest bit and whispered 'hey' she could do nothing but reply with a simple "hey" in a soft, slightly seductive voice. Brooke then pulled back the covers, keeping herself covered but opening the bed up for Kenji to join her "I believe I was promise cuddles" she continues in that same soft voice. Brooke thinks back to last night for a moment, she remembers telling Kenji just before he was about to have her, she then recalls how he started slow for her. Beyond that moment Brooke only remembers how perfect it felt being with him and how much she had wanted him in that moment.

Kenji's lips twitched downwards flatting the grin on his face into a blank one. Did he promise "cuddles" as she called them, he recalled no such thing. But at the possibility of cuddles turning into good morning sex Kenji decided to oblige her. His lips curled up softly once more as he lifted up the covers. The grin deepened as he looked at Brooke's body before pulling the covers back down over the two of them. Kenji noticed the heat bouncing over their bodies due to the blankets, which only caused a momentary erasure of his smile. He then set his arms about Brooke and pulled her on top of him, smirking as he could feel her naked body pressed against his own. Brooke smiled at Kenji as he slipped under the covers with her and grinned upon seeing her naked body. Kenji shifted beneath Brooke as he felt more heat accumulate beneath the sheets. Eventually he kicked open the bottom corner of the sheets in order to let some of their body heat filter out into the rest of the room. At the mention of a reward his teeth bared in a devilish grin. Perhaps she would reward him with something they hadn't done last night, the thought only served to excite Kenji. As a result his hands on her body more intimately massaged her skin. "What kind of reward?" he asked curiously.

"fine" Brooke said with a roll of her big blue eyes but as she did so a large smirk came across her face and she began to shift. Brooke continued to make her way down his body, kissing each ab separately before slipping off his boxers and casually throwing them to the floor where Kenji had woken up. Brooke glanced up at Kenji as she paused just where the top of his boxers would have started if they were still there. Brooke then began to work Kenji in her hands slowly before taking him into her mouth.
