Shinra...

The Shinra Electric Power Corporation, they run this city.

A powerhouse of greed and corruption...

Most people think they're a godsend. Shinra gave many people homes, jobs, and improved the quality of life for almost all the people living under their control.

Those who study the planet have found that mako energy, the backbone of Shinra's income and control over the masses, is killing the planet. Slowly, but surely.

Of course, Shinra is making sure most people never hear that... though even without that information...

... Shinra's still run by a bunch of corrupt pigs... and they'll stop a nothing to make sure any obstacles to their total control go away...

... what I'm saying is, they're gonna kill each and every one of you, if you don't walk out of that door right now, and never come back!

FINAL FANTASY VII- MIDGAR CHRONICLES

Rules- (In addition to all standard forum rules)
1) Godmodders and meta-gamers will feel my eternal wrath.
2) If you have a problem, whether it be with the rp in some way, or something another person is doing in the rp, pm me or, if need be, forum staff. Whatever you do, do NOT get into a long, drawn out argument in the OOC or especially the IC threads.
3) Even if you don't like what someone else is doing IC, just roll with it. IC consequences for IC actions.
4) Your character is NOT Cloud's uncle/Tifa's sister/Reeve's illegitimate daughter/etc.
5) No, you cannot have Knights of the Round XD

Materia- I decided to give people freedom choosing their own materia, and just trusting the good people of this forum to be reasonable with it. Keep in mind that if you go overboard, I will request that you dumb it down a tad. To get an idea of what's reasonable, keep in mind that your character is part of an army, not a one-man army. They don't need to be ridiculously weak, but if they can take on a SOLDIER single-handed without breaking a sweat, they're too overpowered. No summons either, they might be found ICly over the course of the role-play. (for more info on materia, see below)

NPCs- NPCs in this rp, are any characters who aren't in QUAKE. Think of it as if the RP is a game, following the members of QUAKE, the other characters are the NPCs that the QUAKE members encounter along the way. They can be civilians, Shinra, whatever. You CAN play an NPC and not a QUAKE member, but keep in mind that the story is going to focus more on the QUAKE characters.

Limit Breaks- As crazy as your limit breaks (particularly stronger ones) can be, your character is going to be exhausted when they're finished, think of them as desperation attacks. Limit Breaks are entirely optional, and if you wish, you can have them develop new limit breaks as the story goes on. One thing to keep in mind is that your character is generally going to use higher level limits in more desperate situations.

Generally speaking, level 1 limits are for when your character is getting their ass beat, level 2s are for when they're on the verge of death, level 3s are for when they're on the verge of death and fighting for their life, and level 4s should be reserved only for the absolutely most desperate and emotionally trying moments.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: Roar of the Lion- Ejecting the existing magazines from his guns, he replaces them with special ones. Using his own energy he can the fire a burst of enchanted rounds from each gun. He only gets one burst off, but the rounds cause tiny explosions on impact.
Level 1-2: Dance of the Wolves- Yuge pulls out several concealed knives, throwing 3 of them in a quick frenzy, at various targets before taking aim with the last. If it hits, he rushes forward, spin-kicking it deeper into his target with great strength.

Level 2-1: Desperado- Switching his ammo for the special ammo listed before, Yuge this time unleashes full-auto sweep with his guns, at all the enemies in the area. He then ejects the spent magazines and just as they hit the ground, the grenade goes off.
Level 2-2: Deliverance- Throwing two grenades into the air, Yuge reaches for his knives and throws them just as the grenades level with his targets, peircing the grenades and sending the explosive projectiles towards his enemies. He then draws another knife, puring some of his own energy into it, and throws it into the air. The knife crashed down it comes crashing down onto his enemies with it's own explosive force, even without a grenade.

Level 3-1: Death From Above- Yuge once again uses his special ammunition, raising his guns into the air, this time. He pours a large amount of his energy into his guns, the tips of them glowing a bright light. He then unleashing a bunch of powerful blasts. Moments later the blasts come crashing down on his enemies like artillery fire.
Level 3-2: Rebellion- Drawing his knife, he pours his own energy into it, causing a blade of pure burning energy to extend from it, turning it into a sort of makeshift sword. His desperation driving him to go on with pure will, his speed, power and reflexes are all highly boosted, and he glows a faint red aura though his ability to take damage drops. This transformation lasts for several minutes.

Level 4: Peacemaker- A bright red aura surrounds Yuge which soon grows so brightly it obscures any vision of him. It floats into the air a bit before a powerful wave of energy erupts through the area, revealing Yuge, though his details are blurred by a searing heat, he crashes into the ground. When the dust clears, he stands up straight, a searing heat blurs and distorts any clear view of him still, and the area around him is burning hot. His physical capabilities are now all very highly increased, and he holds entire blades constructed from pure burning energy in each hand. In addition, all of his attacks are now fire-based. This transformation lasts for roughly the same period of time as Rebellion, but when it ends he passes out for several days straight, and wakes up sore as hell.

That list may change as I work on the character more, but those are examples of acceptable limit breaks. Note, btw, how since his level 4 is a rather extreme move, I made sure to balance it by having him pass out for several days.

Please note that limit breaks are NOT unblockable by default, meaning that you CAN miss or other wise waste the limit by accident.

Note- There is one misc. note I'd like to add. Your character may not be SOLDIER, or anything, but don't be afraid to have them be a bit stronger than real life. For example, if you use a sword, feel free to deflect bullets... just remember, you're not Sephiroth, you're not a tank, you're going to get tired, and if you don't take the people shooting at you down, you're gonna get hit.

This rp takes place before the events of Crisis Core, Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal are still famous members of SOLDIER, and Zack's just a 3rd Class. Cloud is largely irrelevant to the big picture at this point, and the war with Wutai is still raging strong. AVALANCHE hasn't yet made it's major appearance as the major threat against Shinra. However, in recent years there's been reports of an arrogant young man leading raids against Shinra supply transports, gathering supporters and building up an army. Shinra are still confident in their invincibility, however, and don't yet view them as a threat. The roleplay will focus on that group. The QUAKE Rebellion, lead by Yuge Recreant.

The player characters will largely be new recruits to QUAKE. The story kicks off just as the new members are brought in, and will follow them as the conflict escalates and perhaps as they rise through the ranks, and whatever else may happen. It will largely be centered in the city of Midgar, but will likely branch off into other locations for various missions and adventures.

It is important to note that the Shinra corporation is viewed by your average person as good. It gives people jobs, homes, electricity and security. Most of it's shady dealings are hidden and covered up, while the public views them as a belevolent corporate government. Even the vast majority of people who work for Shinra, either civilians, or solders, don't realize the true nature of the organization they work for.

The Shinra Military- The Military is divided into a number of divisions as listed below. They are primarily stationed in either Midgar or Junon when not deployed elsewhere.
(Please note that some of this info is fan-based, and should not be considered official canon.)

Midgar-
Security Force (Military Police, Grunts, Mighty Grunts)
Mechanized Division (Mechs, Tanks, etc.)
SOLDIER
Investigation Sector of the General Affairs Department (colloquially known as the Turks)

Junon-
Paramilitary (Infantry, Grunts, Mighty Grunts)
Mechanized Division (Mechs, Tanks,etc.)
Marines
Aeronavy (Helicopters, Airships, Traditional Ships, Submarines)

The Military Police/Infantry- These two units are virtually identicle in terms of uniforms and equipment, the only major difference is that the Infantry are trained more to fight abroad as soldiers, whereas the Military Police in Midgar focus almost entirely on protected the city and enforcing the law.

Grunts- These soldiers are armed in slim combat suits and wield clawed gauntlets capable of firing bursts of beam shots from them. Though they serve alongside the MPs and Infantry, they often get recruited into the Mighty Grunts, though some do stick around as standard Grunts.

Mighty Grunts- These are recruited from the best of the grunts. Underneath their armor, which is often customized to their individual preference, they wear a suit similar to the ones worn by the Grunts. Their heavy armor is slow and clunky but can take a lot of damage, and can be fited with various melee or ranged weapons.

Tanks/Mechs- These are just various manned and unmanned war machines produced by Shinra.

SOLDIER- Arguably Shinra's greatest weapon, and hands down their most famous. The process used to create SOLDIER is both dangerous and highly classified, but involved being infused with mako. They are very strong, very fast, display great regenerative skills, and generally have a talent for magic. They are recruited from the absolute best of the best Shinra's military forces have to offer, and are generally scouted by the Turks. They wield swords in combat, 3rd and 2nd class generally use standard issue weapons, while 1st Class sometimes use their own personal weapons.

They are divided into 3 classes-

1st Class are tanks. They are incredibly dangerous and should generally be avoided at all costs. On the bright side, there aren't many 1st Class, as the process to become one is extremely difficult. Marines- The Marines utilize uniforms and weapons very similar to those used by the MPs and Infantry, and can be seen as a sort of elite version of Junon's Infantry. However, they train more on entering combat directly from ships or airships, and thus work very closely with the Aeronavy.

Aeronavy- The Aeronavy is comprised of Junon's powerful airforce and navy.

The most commonly utilized members of the Aeronavy are the helicopters, which are often deployed throughout Shinra's territory, as well as being sent out to help their war effort in Wutai. They are used both as small gunships, and to transport troops and personnel.

Materia Notes: I'm sorry for all these notes, but there's a number of points that need to be cleared up about materia usage ^^;; I hope you'll read through this and I promise the rp itself will be more fun >_>;; XD If you are curious about any other materia, please ask, I'm only human and may have forgotten some that need clearing up ^^;;

Overall- Generally speaking, materia is based more on Crisis Core materia than original FF7 materia. There are no levels to materia, however, and each materia casts a single spell (Fire, Fira, and Firaga each have their own materia) The effects are more generalized, and more powerful with the higher grade spells. ie. fire can start a fire, launch a fireball etc., firaga can launch multiple fireballs, start a really big fire, etc. Blizzard CAN freeze objects/people, but not instantly, it's a gradual process which is faster with the later materias, and most conscious people are would be impossible to freeze as their movement would break the ice as it forms around them.

Important- Think of MP as being your stamina. As you cast spells, you'll get gradually more tired, the stronger the spell, the faster you'll get worn out. If you spam a dozen firaga fireballs right at the start of a fight, you'll likely pass out.

Stat Boosting Materia- Stat boosting materia (Strength Up, Agility Up, Spirit Up, etc.) will not make you super human, it will however give you an above average advantage in that area. Strength Up won't let you punch through a tank, but it'll sure make your punches hit hard. Speed Up won't turn you into the flash, but it'll probably help you win a track race or two.

All Materia- The All materia effects the entire area around yourself, not including you.

Command- You don't NEED a materia to do things like steal stuff, it just makes you MUCH better at it. (you can still fail/get caught, though.)

Libra- Scanning someone doesn't allow you to read their thoughts or anything, but you can pick up really strong emotions, their health (in practical terms, injuries and sicknesses they may have, and the like, but they'll just give you the symptoms, don't expect to scan someone and instantly know exactly how to cure them of whatever ails them. You'll still need a knowledge of medicine for that.)

Death/Doom- Lets just avoid this one, shall we? >_> It's kind of overpowered XD

Stop- Like Death, this one is a tad too powerful, I'm sure you'll agree.

Enemy Skill- For the moment, don't use it, but if anyone has suggestions for how it would work, I'm all ears.

Sleep- Sleep won't work on people who are at full attention. Come on, how fun would combat be if you could just sleep everyone and stab them in the head? XD

Poison- When you're poisoned you get gradually more and more sick, until you pass out and eventually die. Good thing antidotes are pretty cheap. XD

Haste/Slow- These two aren't going to be gamestoppers, just like the stat boosting materia, they'll just give you an advantage/disadvantage.

Barrier/Shell- These spells only last a brief period and can only take so much punishment, be reasonable. They'll get you through a few light blows or a couple of fireballs, a tank blast or one firaga fireball, and they're shattering.

Reflect- This has to be cast just as the spell is hitting you, and it doesn't automatically hit the person who cast it, it basically just bounces it back to them.

Life- This won't bring back the dead, it merely brings people back from unconsciousness.

Fact-book: Here's some information that might make it a little easier to get into the rp.
(Please note that some of this info is fan-based, and should not be considered official canon.)

Wutai is like feudal Japan in most aspects, having a separate language and culture than the rest of the world. If your character can speak Wutai, simply put anything they say in the Wutai language in italics, while saying that they're speaking in it, for example:
Yuge looked at Ekiri before shaking his head, switching to Wutai and speaking quietly to avoid being heard, "I swear, Shinra's fortifying that spot more and more each day, if we don't strike soon, we're going to lose this window of opportunity." He smiled for a moment, before adding in common tongue, "Hehe, another drink, please?'

Their soldiers generally wield long pole-arm weapons that also function as assault rifles.

Vehicles- Various modes of transportation exist apart from the military vehicles mentioned above, including cars, bikes, trucks, and the like.

Soooo if you want a skill or spell you need the Materia equiped onto the weapon or armor for your character to have it. Sounds alot like Phantasy Star Universe, if I got it right.

Well, since it's an rp, it would be silly to be like "drat, I don't have a steal materia, I can't steal anything D:" so, to make more sense, materia that let you do normal skills, like stealing, make you BETTER at them.

But yes, the basic idea is what you fit materia onto your gear, and they give you access to spells and stuff.

This transfered to his protectiveness of everyone he sees as family in an attempt to redeem himself in the eyes of his sister.
Personality: Protective, Loyal, Terse and to the point. He does like a joke now and then, but don't expect him to be Mr. Jolly either. His upbringing made him a cynic and causes trust issues until he gets to know you. However, no matter what issue he may have with someone, during a job it disappears. The limits are a tiny bit much, just a tiny bit... the first one's fine, but I'll post my character's limit breaks in a bit so people can see what a good idea is... though I'm not quite done with his entire CS yet, and actually, I should edit the sheet to mention one thing about Limit Breaks that I forgot. Basically the way limit breaks work is, the more desperate your character's situation and the more passion and emotion they have backing them, the higher level they can go... generally I'll leave it up to your discretion, but basically... you character's getting a beat down, level 1 limits. If your characters getting thrashed HARD and fighting for their life, level 2. 3s should be reserved for when your character has some serious motivation to win, and 4... 4 should be the kind of thing your character's only going to do in the most extreme, emotionally trying and desperate of times.

History: Neiv was an orphan found at the steps of a church by the local priest who took him in and raised him. The priest never sent Niev to school, but instead taught him everything on his own. He taught him to read and write, about different religions, political views, how to heal people, and to never segregate anyone. He also taught Niev how to decide weather to help someone or not, and how to follow his heart.

The priest was old, even when he found Niev, and passed away not long after Niev's sixteenth birthday. The priest left the church for Niev and one of the other young priests to take care of, and left his only materia to Niev; Cura.

Niev practiced his ability to heal during the coming years, and gained knowledge about deceases, poisons, and how to cure them. He also managed to get a hold of the Scan materia to aid him.

Personality: Being somewhat shy at first, he soon warms up to people and starts to show his true self. He is a positive person, who believes there is something good in everyone, and will try to help them if he can. He is also a pacifist and will try to avoid fighting if he can, but will fight back if cornered.

Likes: Helping others, learning about new cures, sweets, and animals.

Dislikes: Fighting, and not being able to help someone.

Specialization: Medic

Motivation: While curing a Soldier in one of Shinras medic bays he overheard a conversation about how a group of Soldiers had massacred a group of people protesting against Shinras destruction of the planet. He did some investigation and found rumors about how Shinra kills the planet by draining it's life force, so now he is joining QUAKE to do what he can to help them stop Shinra.

Weapon(s): Being a pacifist he does not carry weapons, he does however know some basic self-defense.

Natural Abilities: He has a natural ability to figure out cures for different ailments, even if he has no prior knowledge about it.

Materia: Cura, Scan and Protect.

Key Items: The only thing he truly values is his Cura materia.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: Angel's shield: A pair of bright white wings sprout from Nevi's back and he ascends in to the air. While in the air he spreads his arms in to the air and a bright light shoots out around him casting protect on everyone he considers allies.

Level 1-2: Angel's Breath: A pair of bright white wings sprout from Nevi's back and he ascends in to the air. While in the air he closes his hands in to a prair and a bright light shoots out around him casting Cura on everyone he considers allies that needs healing.

Level 2-1: N/A

Level 3-1: N/A
Level 3-2: Angel's Sacrifice: A bright pillar of light engulfs Nevi, and an angel like image ascends from his body. The angel explodes in a blast of pure life force that will heal one or more people of any injury, disease, or poison that they suffer from. If used it will decrease his lifespan, and depending on the amount of people he he cures he may die.

Level 4: Exus Obliderate: The only offensive ability he has. He sacrifices himself to cause a massive energy blast that will damage only his enemies. The size of the blast is about one square mile.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: Roar of the Lion- Ejecting the existing magazines from his guns, he replaces them with special ones. Using his own energy he can the fire a burst of enchanted rounds from each gun. He only gets one burst off, but the rounds cause tiny explosions on impact.
Level 1-2: Dance of the Wolves- Yuge pulls out several concealed knives, throwing 3 of them in a quick frenzy, at various targets before taking aim with the last. If it hits, he rushes forward, spin-kicking it deeper into his target with great strength.

Level 2-1: Desperado- Switching his ammo for the special ammo listed before, Yuge this time unleashes full-auto sweep with his guns, at all the enemies in the area. He then ejects the spent magazines and just as they hit the ground, the grenade goes off.
Level 2-2: Deliverance- Throwing two grenades into the air, Yuge reaches for his knives and throws them just as the grenades level with his targets, peircing the grenades and sending the explosive projectiles towards his enemies. He then draws another knife, puring some of his own energy into it, and throws it into the air. The knife crashed down it comes crashing down onto his enemies with it's own explosive force, even without a grenade.

Level 3-1: Death From Above- Yuge once again uses his special ammunition, raising his guns into the air, this time. He pours a large amount of his energy into his guns, the tips of them glowing a bright light. He then unleashing a bunch of powerful blasts. Moments later the blasts come crashing down on his enemies like artillery fire.
Level 3-2: Rebellion- Drawing his knife, he pours his own energy into it, causing a blade of pure burning energy to extend from it, turning it into a sort of makeshift sword. His desperation driving him to go on with pure will, his speed, power and reflexes are all highly boosted, and he glows a faint red aura though his ability to take damage drops. This transformation lasts for several minutes.

Level 4: Peacemaker- A bright red aura surrounds Yuge which soon grows so brightly it obscures any vision of him. It floats into the air a bit before a powerful wave of energy erupts through the area, revealing Yuge, though his details are blurred by a searing heat, he crashes into the ground. When the dust clears, he stands up straight, a searing heat blurs and distorts any clear view of him still, and the area around him is burning hot. His physical capabilities are now all very highly increased, and he holds entire blades constructed from pure burning energy in each hand. In addition, all of his attacks are now fire-based. This transformation lasts for roughly the same period of time as Rebellion, but when it ends he passes out for several days straight, and wakes up sore as hell.

That list may change as I work on the character more, but those are examples of acceptable limit breaks. Note, btw, how since his level 4 is a rather extreme move, I made sure to balance it by having him pass out for several days.

Edit: Also note that limit breaks are NOT unblockable by default, meaning that you CAN miss or other wise waste the limit by accident.

Well, the second limit breaks in each level are supposed to be separate moves, not just enhancements of the first one.

My only other issue is with your level 2. It's not that it's over-powered per-say, but it seems like it would be a rather risky move. I mean, it would be just as likely to hit him as anyone else in the room, wouldn't it? If you're alright with that, then the limit is fine.

Either leave 1-2 and 2-2 empty, or put other ones there, and I'll look it over again.

He was sent on a mission out in the bunnies, and when he got there the whole town was in turmoil. Then he was sent into the battle, and told to kill anything that moved. Including the women and children. He was unable to comply with this order. He didn’t train all of this time to use his skills to kill the innocent. This was unacceptable by his superior, and was attacked by the man. He was lying on the ground on the brink of death when someone that had survived the massacre saved his life. He now is going to join QUAKE to stop Shinra.


Personality: He is very serious when it comes to anything that relates to the Shinra Company. He is also a serious fighter, he also has a kind heart that he only shows to those he trusts.

Likes: Music, swords of all kind, as well as flowers.
Dislikes: anything that has to do with Shinra.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: Nightshade - He attacks the person with his sword that is equipped with a poison Materia. This poison will not kill the target it just slows them down. That is if it works on the person metabolism. He slashes the target in the form of a star.
Level 1-2: N/A

Level 2-1: Shadows Call - He looses himself to the darkness that is consuming his heart, and attacks the person with his bare hands. He has lost control of his senses, and attacks anyone that is seen as an enemy. This attack takes a tool on his mental satiability for about ten minuets.
Level 2-2: N/A

Level 3-1: Deaths Song - He shoots the target with his gun. The bullets are made from a concentration of his energy along with the element of the Materia that is equipped with it. He only shots the target five times.
Level 3-2: N/A

Level 4: Devine Wrath - He gathers all of his energy into his sword, and unleashes massive strikes on the opponent. They are quick, and accurate. Then he pulls out his gun and fires a shot of what ever Materia that is equipped with it at the person. As soon as the attack hits he falls to the ground exhausted. He is a wake, but unable to move his body for about three days.

Overall, definitely yes, my only issue is that he's listed as a sniper too... with all the melee and mid-range (handgun) skill he seems to have, throwing sniper skills on top of that seems a bit much, if you don't mind, I'd just have him be infantry.

Other than that, I love it :3

Is this based off the actual Final Fantasy series? I have never played any of the games. Okay a few and had a brain hemorrhage afterwards.

Are there still spots open? And if so, how would we go about this? What are you looking for in a character?


Edit: Biggest question- If me not have been paying attention to the actual story of the game. Would I still be able to play in this?

Oh, there's many many spots open still XD I really don't have any set limit in mind, I don't really mind if people join in half-way XD In fact, I might just keep this running for a nice long while... I mean, if I can keep thinking of worthy plot material (or maybe get suggestions from other people later on :3)

It's based on Final Fantasy VII, though it mostly just borrows the setting, with an original plot, and you should be able to still play, but I'd recommend looking stuff up on the FF wiki I linked in the first post... the only problem I can think of is that you might have a bit of trouble with the materia, but you can probably find some nice lists of them. Just keep in mind the notes I listed here, and that obviously this is an RP, not a turned based RPG, so the effects for some materia aren't going to be /exactly/ the same as they are in the games.

If you need help with anything, just ask. As for what I'm looking for in a character, anything you can offer honestly. Though personally, I'd recommend you maybe try to use your inexperience to your advantage. Play someone who's new to combat. I mean, if your character is from some small village, and never saw combat... they'd probably know what materia is, and that is lets people use magic and stuff, but they would likely not know all to much about it's combat applications and it's specific usages, particularly if they're young.

Oooor, you could try to play someone who lost their memory XD it's a bit cliche, but it's convenient if you want a character who knows just about as much as you do. XD

I know who Sephiroth and them is. Just not exactly specific story plot points. I tried once to pay attention, but soon realized I was going to have a seizure and kill myself as I tried to play the game seriously knowing the story.
The game really did give me brain hemorrhages I'm sure, the lack of common sense and actual characters drive me to insanity. So I just pretended the story didn't exist.


Would you mind if I play a hermaphrodite character? You said something about magic, what exactly do you have in mind?

Okay... uh... you can play a hermaphrodite, I suppose, but uh... considering the forum rules, I doubt that would come up as part of a plot line. I mean, since you can't post graphic sex scenes, it could only be implied in the lightest possible way, unless you intend to have them run around shouting it. And no, no AI. The characters have to be human with only one single character who I'm allowing to be anything else, since he's one of the higher ups in the rebellion.

I'd recommend you look up the basic story, or at least the backstory, and the various facts about the game world though, so you at least have an idea of the world the rp takes place in.

And all I said about magic is that materia lets you cast magic... nothing specifically to do with your character XD

History: (Age: 0-18) Xi'an was born in Wutai, into the Jun-ya family, consisting of her mother; Lee Tran Jun-Ya, her father; Nguyen Cheng Jun-Ya, and her twin sister, Xun Jung Jun-Ya.
-Both her and her sister were trained in the family art of Chakram wielding, when they turned five years of age.

Xi'an and Xun were never the closest, even being twins. Xi'an was always a follower of order, while Xun was really more of a rebel.
When Xi'an was 15, she moved with her uncle to Junon to finally start off the life she wanted, a life as a Shin-Ra officer. Though her father demanded that she become a soldier in the Wutaian army, which she protested furiously, claiming that he should let her follow any path in life that she wanted. Xi'an has yet to speak to her father, but has frequent conversations with her mother.
Her Uncle, who had already traveled around most of this planet, was a tailor, and an accessory maker, and made his living off of creating such amazing pieces of clothing and enchanted accessories, the enchantment of course mainly being materia.
Rebelling against her strict father made her twin sister Xun think that her and Xi'an were more alike than initially suspected, though unfortunately for Xun, she wasn't moving to Junon with her sister to develop their new common-found relationship. To this day, Xun still lives in Wutai, she has no plans on joining any army, but still trains once a day with her father.
The night before her Eighteenth birthday, Xi'an's uncle had brought her to the Shin-Ra headquarters' Military department, grabbing an application for her, and helped her fill it out, waiting until Midnight to officially hand it in.
(Age: 18-Present)
Xi'an quickly traversed through the ranks as the seemingly slow years passed, from Private First Class, easily to Staff Sergeant, even on to 1st Lieutenant, which is where Xi'an spent a couple of comfortable years.
Most notably, Xi'an met Suriel. It was love at first sight for Xi'an, when Suriel came into the headquarters; walking past Xi'an's current post, leaving her with an immediate crush that remained hidden for only a few days, for it seemed that Suriel felt nearly the same way.
In a slightly awkward time for Xi'an, the two finally made it clear that there was something between the two of them, and they both had the desire to further it, resulting a few late-night dates.
The day came when Suriel called Xi'an down for a walk to the docks.
Xi'an was oblivious to what was about to be requested.
Suriel was being transferred to Midgar, to become a SOLDIER recruit, by his choice, but had no desire to stop the relationship. He told her that he understood if she wanted to put this relationship on a pause, or end it altogether. (Clearly not what either of them wanted)
Suriel proposed the idea that she came to visit him certain times in the month, which he made quite obvious that it was every weekend he wanted to see her. Xi'an hesitantly refused at first, just because of the fact that she hadn't the funds to pull that off so often. With a few minutes of convincing, Suriel reassured her that he could pay for the trip both ways, being the son of a wealthy family.
Thinking with her heart, instead of her brain, Xi'an accepted.
The two kept up this routine, missing a weekend here or there for whatever the reason may have been, until Xi'an was offered the position of Captain a couple years later. The only 'downfall' being that she had to transfer to midgar permanently. No brainer.
The two now easily continued their relationship in Midgar.
Nearly a year later, Xi'an was called into an office on one of the higher floors of the Shin-Ra building. As she opened the doors, perfectly on time, she saw her superior sitting at his desk, while her lover stood at attention next to him.
Xi'an received a promotion to Major that day, along with another heart-pounding surprise.
Xi'an became engaged to the SOLDIER 2nd class, Suriel Cyncad.


Personality: Xi'an is a logical thinker, she pinpoints the problem, and searches her intelligent mind for the best answer.
She doesn't like to base her thoughts around "maybe" 's, or gambles, but instead would lean toward the higher percentage of success.
Xi'an likes what she does, and despises when she doesn't receive the respect she solely deserves.
She tries to keep her work life, and her personal life separate, because of a horrible incident-- --In which her Uncle was assassinated for being related to the officer that took down a certain dangerous woman's father.
Notably, Xi'an doesn't 'believe' in using materia as a main combat, but respects the choices of those who do.

Key Items: A pair of black hair sticks with a painting of a vine crawling up the whole shaft, and small tin flowers that hang off of the end.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: OmniSweep-As her most basic limit, Xi'an Throws her large chakram into the air. Now implementing her Speed Plus materia, she lunges forward with a series of blows. Catching her chakram as she delivers the second last blow, she finishes with a sweep, using her bladed ring, aiming for the ankle.

Level 1-2: Razor's Fury- Xi'an releases the mechanism that keeps her two small chakrams combined into one large one. Now holding both in her hands, she rushes toward the opponent, jumping into the air, using the opportunity to spin. As she lands, Xi'an continues the spinning motions, as she closes the final distance between her and her opponent, the blades begin to tear at whatever her opponent has for protection. halting the spinning, she then thrusts her chakrams into the hosts torso, finally walking up the opponent's body, finishing with a knee thrust toward the host's skull.

Level 2-1 Planet Soul- Xi'an merely taps into a hidden mystical force that enhances her physical attributes greatly. Lasting only twenty minutes on record.

Level 2-2: Sorcerer's Ring- Xi'an taps into an ancient chi tactic, that lets her levitate objects, in this case her weapon. Xi'an's weapon once again releases the mechanism that holds the two thinner rings together.
The rings begin to levitate around her body, as her eyes close, but her chi senses kick in. Xi'an begins resiting an ancient fighting style, but with each swing/thrust of her hands and feet, one of the flying chakrams mimics her attack movement, taking a slice at the enemy. Xi'an finishes by concentrating her energy into one thrust of her palms, sending an unseen pushing force spiraling toward the opponent, causing severe knockback.

Question!!! (First let me state I'm an FF7 dork) Alrighty then, May I play a Non-Humanoid? I've always been a fan of Red 13 and no I don't want to be a Dog or Wolf, just wanted to know if I could play a non-human, say from the wastelands, or Cosmo Canyon, etc. Somewhere open and fun (I like open areas) AND also, should the scene occur, would I have to fall in love with a creature or person or thing that can use some form of infatuation tech on me? I've been in several RP's where one person will be a female of my characters breed and try to make me do what he/she wants. Annoying, and very appalling when I play a non-humanoid that's say, "void" of such an emotion.

Sorry, to the requests, I have to say no. Make characters inspired by Biggs and Wedge if you want, but I want original chracters. I don't see how you'd manage to be a sentient non-human like that, since unless I'm forgetting anything, the only one I can think of is Red XIII and he's the last of his kind.

I'm not yet sure what may happen to him in this story, but the original incarnation of Yuge in the rp that this was inspired by, lost an arm, a leg and an eye, and had them all replaced by cybernetics.

All I ask is don't go crazy, it all goes back to the idea that your character is part of an army, not a one-man army XD Mechanical replacements, weapon-limbs and such are fine, just no death rays or miniguns embedded into their foreheads or anything, and also keep in mind I want a nice explanation as to how they lost the body parts and how they got the cybernetics.

If you want, that second one can be explained by one of the members of QUAKE, Ekiri. She's basically the senior medic of the group, and pretty good with cybernetics and stuff. So you could always say that QUAKE gave him some basic cybernetic parts upon joining, as a bit of a welcoming gift... and to put him in fighting condition XD

hehe, I don't think I even mentioned that, but you're exactly correct, I should add that to the rules.

Simply put, SOLDIER are the big bad enemy guys we have to be careful about. So from that perspective, allowing QUAKE to have Ex-SOLDIER would damage that feel.

Also, from a simple plot perspective, SOLDIER who abandon Shinra are generally hunted down and killed. So most Ex-SOLDIER would likely not last long. Other than that, though, your character can pretty much be from whatever kinda backstory you can reasonably explain.

Just keep in mind that the more a person knows in Shinra, the more Shinra is likely to hunt them down if they try to leave. And SOLDIER in and of themselves provide a bit of a risk, since one of Shinra's major military edges is that they're the only ones who know how to make SOLDIER... the last thing they need is their enemies being able to study them.

History: Part of the Wutai district, and associated with the city's many children schools. Cuff spent his time either helping out with the elementary children, studying, or taking care of his fish.
Taking college level courses on machines and human cell grafting, Cuff sought to create new ways of applying cybernetic technology to children who were injured during the local gang raids, or by birth.
nine months into his schooling, not but a few seconds before he stepped onto the Elementary campus to start a routine day of letting the children have some fun at the park, an air strike began. No warnings,
no time to hide or anything. The Aeronavy ships that began their path of fire and destruction were on a hunt for supposed criminals using underground pathways. The school had luckily been forewarned a few days
before, so the children were still at home safe, but no one called Cuff, who made his way into the school in search of people no longer inside. In the midst of his frenzied search for the children and staff,
fire's burned away part of left ear, a fallen rafter landing against his shoulder scorching his neck and shoulder. Several explosions caused many small ebrasions and a few glass and stone shards marring his
body. After giving up his search for anyone when he realized that no one was inside, Cuff made his way down to the basement to hide and await for the attack to stop. Barely making his way into the safe room, the
ruined man made a vague attempt to bandage himself, using gauze to help cease the bleeding from the deeper cuts and trying to clean out the places that still had small flecks of things in them. Before he could
properly patch himself, the safe rooms door slowly opened, one man limping inside. Blood ran from a brutal looking wound somewhere along the mans side, burns running down the exposed legs. Both men stood facing each other
in silence, fire and explosions becoming louder and more frequent. Then the injured man spoke once, though too low beneath the bombing from above, but was blasted into Cuff, who was then forced into the steel plate wall as the
other mans weight sent them both flying from the collapsing building. Cuff's world grew dark and silent soon after, dreams taking over him. When Cuff awoke again, he lay under the gaze and hands of people who didn't recognize,
and could barely understand anything they said. Fainting then re-awaking, Cuff now lays upon a stretcher trying to remember what happened before the fire, and the injured man. The rest of his memory long sense gone just as the
burning school that fell before the flames.

Personality: Most of the time casual, though sketchy when asked a question about himself. Tends to become excited when given an opportunity to tinker with a new machine.

Likes: Books and Human Cell Grafting, Machines, Cybernetic Augementations
Dislikes: Shinra, Alcohol, Flying.

Specialization: Mechanic/Driver. Do to many classes and a minor obsession, Cuff is outstanding at making, disassembling and reprogramming machines. From wristwatches to Shinra combat mechs.
Also, his favorite past time has become street racing his new designs or "Steeds" as he calls them. His current Steeds are "Taurus" and "Apollo". Taurus is a small van meant for recon, with reinforced platting and a set of actual "bull horns" built into the front. Apollo is an odd bike that Cuff built from scratch, its front possess a side by side set of wheels, and the back has a sort of small jet pack meant for quick bursts of speed.

I love it, though I'm confused as what you mean by Wutai district. The land of Wutai or... like... Midgar's version of Chinatown? If you meant the later, I doubt they would utilize a full bombing run on their own city, especially considering how densely it's populated. They'd likely kill a whole family of innocent, loyal, obedient citizens for every criminal they managed to hit.

There came a time, however, when his father left for Midgar, in the hopes of joining SOLDIER, to try and aid in bringing a resolution to the growing conflict with Wutai. His mother had been from Wutai, and he spent some time there as a child, but everyone knew Midgar was going to win this war, the only thing that could be done is try to end it with as little bloodshed as possible. Both Yuge and his mother were proud of him, and every day while he was gone, Yuge practiced fighting, himself, based on some basic lessons his father had taught him.

Eventually, they were brought to Midgar, as he had found a suitable home for them in Sector 8. There they resumed the happy life they lived before, for a while. Eventually, his father succeeded in making SOLDIER. One day, however, he was reportedly killed in an attack on a patrol he was involved with in the slums by a band of rebels.

Heartbroken, the two barely managed to survive for a while on the upper plate, but were soon forced to find a much cheaper home in the slums. His mother began to whither away, before finally passing as well, leaving him alone. He struggled to make ends meet, but managed to survive, and as soon as he could, he signed up with the Shinra MPs, hoping to move up to SOLDIER over time. He tried his hardest to impress his superiors, but as time passed by, and he began being trusted with more and more unsavory missions, he started wondering what exactly he was fighting for.

Justice, came to his mind first, not just for the death of his father, but the justice that his father had died for... but he began feeling more and more like Shinra didn't represent the justice he sought. If he fought for peace... why did Shinra only seem to create conflict? Why did these rebel groups even exist if Shinra was the group they claimed to be... He began, in secret, investigating these rebel causes, trying to piece together some puzzle he wasn't even sure existed... Then came the day his patrol was ordered to eliminate a young girl.

The superiors claimed she was a hostile, a terrorist agent, and that allowing her to live would only sew the seeds of destruction further into the society of Midgar. He wasn't sure he believed such a young girl was such a danger to Shinra, and part of him wasn't even sure he cared. He knew he couldn't follow such orders and instead assisted her escape. He was caught in the process however and placed under arrest. As luck would have it, she really was a scout for a rebel group, and before he could be carried off to the prison cells, they attacked, and he was free... for the moment. He was also a fugitive, his ID had already been electronically noted about his crimes, and no doubt more would be added now.

He discarded his uniform and fled. He found himself in a bar, plopping down on a stool next to a peculiar man, who appeared to be concealing his appearance for some reason... and he he seemed kind of... furry... but before he could wonder on this any longer, the bar maid caught his attention. He quickly made his order... and continued to have his attention caught by her, the snow white hair and the pretty face, not to mention a really nice body, in fact, she looked kinda familiar... until she slammed his drink down and told him that if he stared any longer, she was going to find an inventive way to serve him that drink.

The man next to him let out a chuckle, and before long he started laughing too, rubbing the back of his head apologetically and offering an extra tip... and thus it began.

Personality: Young, fiery and passionate, he believes wholeheartedly in his cause. He believes in honor, justice and freedom above all else, and is more than willing to sacrifice it all for those ideals. Those around him aren't always sure if he's just a naive kid, or whether there's really a chance for what he preaches, however, whatever they believe, his charisma makes it hard not to rally behind his banner.

However, this passion of his isn't without it's drawbacks, he has quite an emotional nature, which can sometimes impair his judgment, or send him into a depression, given the right catalyst. He also has a tendency to drink quite a bit, going so far as to use a bar in the slums as sort of a secondary base for the group.

He is also known to be quite protective of those close to him, to a point that some may see as a bit much.

Likes: Booze, Ekiri's secret concoctions, girls, occasionally boys, his motorcycle 'Angelus' and Freedom.

Motivation: Even if anti-shinra rebels killed his father, it's Shinra's corruption that spawned them and Shinra he died serving, and Yuge doesn't believe Shinra represents the ideals his father was fighting for. He believes overthrowing Shinra is the only way to bring about an actual age of peace. He is also sympathetic to Wutai's plight, wondering if perhaps Shinra can be brought down before too many more Wutai lives are lost in this conflict.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: Roar of the Lion- Ejecting the existing magazines from his guns, he replaces them with special ones. Using his own energy he can the fire a burst of enchanted rounds from each gun. He only gets one burst off, but the rounds cause tiny explosions on impact.
Level 1-2: Dance of the Wolves- Yuge pulls out several concealed knives, throwing 3 of them in a quick frenzy, at various targets before taking aim with the last. If it hits, he rushes foward, spin-kicking it deeper into his target with great strength.

Level 2-1: Desperado- Yuge throws a grenade to start, switching his ammo for the special ammo listed before, Yuge this time unleashes full-auto sweep with his guns, at all the enemies in the area. He then ejects the spent magazines and just as they hit the ground, the grenade goes off.
Level 2-2: Deliverance- Throwing two grenades into the air, Yuge reaches for his knives and throws them just as the grenades level with his targets, peircing the grenades and sending the explosive projectiles towards his enemies. He then draws another knife, puring some of his own energy into it, and throws it into the air. The knife crashed down it comes crashing down onto his enemies with it's own explosive force, even without a grenade.

Level 3-1: Death From Above- Yuge once again uses his special ammunition, raising his guns into the air, this time. He pours a large amount of his energy into his guns, the tips of them glowing a bright light. He then unleashing a bunch of powerful blasts. Moments later the blasts come crashing down on his enemies like artillery fire.
Level 3-2: Rebellion- Drawing his knife, he pours his own energy into it, causing a blade of pure burning energy to extend from it, turning it into a sort of makeshift sword. His desperation driving him to go on with pure will, his speed, power and reflexes are all highly boosted, and he glows a faint red aura though his ability to take damage drops. This transformation lasts for several minutes.

Level 4: Peacemaker- A bright red aura surrounds Yuge which soon grows so brightly it obscures any vision of him. It floats into the air a bit before a powerful wave of energy erupts through the area, revealing Yuge, though his details are blurred by a searing heat, he crashes into the ground. When the dust clears, he stands up straight, a searing heat blurs and distorts any clear view of him still, and the area around him is burning hot. His physical capabilities are now all very highly increased, and he holds entire blades constructed from pure burning energy in each hand. In addition, all of his attacks are now fire-based. This transformation lasts for roughly the same period of time as Rebellion, but when it ends he passes out for several days straight, and wakes up sore as hell.

Appearance: Roze is the the very model of a pretty boy. His skin is very fair with no noticeable abrasions. While he doesn't have large muscles, he is in great shape. Which is odd because he never works out. His black hair flows gracefully over his face. It's just above shoulder length and moves constantly whenever he looks around. His silky hair is a unnaturally well cared for despite the fact he is often quoted saying, "I just wake up this way." It is sometimes hard to tell if he is awake or not because his hair often gets in front of his eyes. His eyes are a dark green and, when visible, are often half closed.

Clothing: Roze wears the normal black business suit that is common for the Turks. The main difference is his red undershirt and tie.

History: Roze has always said that his life has always been to boring to get into. Thanks to his attitude almost no one knows where he came from or even. When Roze arrived at Midgar he walked strait up to the Turks and told them he needed a job. They of course laughed and turned him down. Roze simply shrugged and walked away. The next day when the Turks where on an important assignment, Roze showed up and asked again to join. This continued for some time, Roze always appearing at their job site before they could. No one knew how he did it.

One day while a few of the Turks where being pinned down, bullets rained down from the distance as the creatures fell. The Turks went to the site of the shootings to see Roze taking a nap. A week later one of Turks heard some music playing and walked to the sound. He saw Roze dancing around and beating down numerous opponents without taking a hit. When Roze appeared to ask the next day, they welcomed him with open arms. Ever since Roze has been a well respected member of the Turks. But they asked him how he always got there before him. Roze turned laughed and told pointed and said, 'You guys are so loud, I heard you talking about where you where going.' He then turned on his boom box. The sound of the head Turk came through. Roze had wire tapped their phones.

Personality: Roze is extremely lazy. He doesn't even like to fight because it interrupts his sleep. He admits that he hates dealing with QUAKE. Not because of their attacks on shinra. They cause to much paper work for him. And the explosions are really noisy. When he is forced to fight, Roze constantly complains about it but never seems to try and force a finish. If the reason for fighting is done, Roze will simply shrug and leave.

Roze has a habit of popping out of no where. When asked how he got there, he shrugs. Roze can be completely silent if needed, which may be why no one notices that he is already there when they arrive. Roze loves to dance and play his music. This is odd due to his hatred of loud noise. He will often incorporate dancing into his fight.

Likes: Sleep, kittens, dancing, sleep, upbeat music, sexy school girl oufits, and sleep.
Dislikes: Work, loud noise, depressing music
Occupation: Investigation Sector of General Affairs for the Shinra Electric Power Company. Also known as Turks.

Lilly - Roze's revolver. The barrel is extended allowing higher accuracy. The entire thing is cast in silver and has a picture of a lilly on it.

Tulip - A body length sniper rifle. The entire weapon is painted black. A long range scope is attached to the top. It also has a silencer.

Daisy - A stun glove that Roze often wears. It can stun a man with only a few hits.

Natural Abilities: Roze has a natural shot. The first time he picked up a gun, he emptied the clip. Each bullet when through the exact same spot. Roze is extremely good at fluidly moving. This makes him a hard target to hit. Oddly enough, Roze can seem to appear out of no where. This may be due to his talent of becoming completely silent.

Materia: Sense, Power Osmose(osmosis through contact), Luck Plus, Speed Plus, Cura, Fira, Thundara, Blizzaga + All, Barrier

Key Items: Roze's boom box.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: Here I am - Roze starts to walk off and reapears behind the target. Now equipped with Daisy, his stun glove, he grabs the target by the shoulder and shoves him to the ground.
Level 1-2: Pay attention - Roze again vanishes, he then appears behind random objects and fires a single shot from Lilly or Tulip. Each time appearing from behind a different object. After 15 shots, he appears behind the main target with Lilly and fires a single shot through their back.

Level 2-1: Dance off - Roze sets his boom box on the ground and starts playing an upbeat song. His speed and luck are increased and he becomes harder to hit.
Level 2-2: King of the dance hall - Roze slams his boom box down and presses play. The song 'King of the Dance Hall' starts to play. Roze flashes up to his target and delivers a series of punches and kicks all while dancing to the beat of the music. The final strike ends with a sledgehammer kick to the face.

Level 3-1: Watch the bullet - Roze steps back into the shadows and vanishes, a bullet flies down at the main target. Before the first shot reaches, it is hit by a seconds bullet causes it to ricochet. The original bullet is hit by 3 more bullets causing it to circle around the main target and hit him in the chest. Each of the stray bullets hit a target while everyone is watching the original.
Level 3-2: Count the rounds - Roze pulls out Lilly and fires off 8 shots, he quickly reloads and fires more rounds. This continues for 79 shots. Each shot exploding on impact. Roze appears behind the main target and places the gun to his head. He pulls the trigger but nothing happens. Roze looks at his gun flips up in the air and pulls the trigger again. This time it causes and AOE fire attack.

Level 4: We're the Turks - Roze yawns and pulls out his cell phone. A smile comes to his face as a large group of helicopters appear and start firing down on the targets. As they try to run, cars surround the targets and 6 Turks start to open fire on them. A large man and a small girl appear by Roze. The gun fire stops and the three charge in for the kill. This is the normal attack; however, it changes depending on where they are. If they are in a compact area, Turks rush in on foot. If they are to far from Midgar, only helicopters appear and men rapple down from it. (other instances will be dealt with if they arrive)

I love it, but there are a few points. Namely, I'd remove the status boost from King of the Dance Hall... generally, I'd go with either an action or a boost, but both at once, for a level 2, is a bit much.

In most games Luck is that undefined skill that no one levels up because no one knows what it is. It effects everything slightly. Double Cut makes an action happen twice or times in game.

The last limit: I can say different things happen in different areas.

Watch the Bullet: He makes the main sniper bullet bounce off other bullets. The first one is a distraction. The other bullets actually hit other people in the room. I will try to explain it better.

Count the Rounds: Nope. Speed loader. You can instantly load 8 shot and fire them off. I'll lower it to 79 though.

Luck: Well I just planed on making him luckier than the average human.

2 X cut: I had some ideas on that. A good thought would be after he hits a kind of shadow hit follows behind it.

Crazy shit: Do you mean vanishing and appearing out of no where?*cheshire* I will explain.

History: Suriel was born and raised to a relatively wealthy family in Junon. His father had been some higher up in Junon's military before retiring. Due to this, he received a good education and lived a bit of a pampered life. However, once he got older, he found himself exploring outside their pretty little home, and occasionally even sneaking out to the village on the outskirts of the city. He enjoyed going down to the docks and fishing. Occasionally, he met a girl from the village... they were far too young to worry about romance or any such things, but they did become great friends.

Suriel spent most of the free time he had from his studies, hanging out with his new friend in the village. They would often sit around the docks fishing... Suriel would often give her all the fish he caught, since he had perfectly good meals prepared for him at home without bringing home fish. One day however, they got caught in the middle of a battle with Wutai insurgents, and Suriel was unable to protect his friend, who was hit by a stray bullet and killed.

For a time, Suriel went into a depression, but when he got out of it, he vowed to become as strong as he could, to bring peace and make sure that nothing like that would happen again. From that day on, it became his dream to join SOLDIER, and he strove for it without hesitation. It was all he focused on, developing a bit of a coffee addiction, due to his desire to spend every possible moment furthering that dream... until he met Xi'an. She managed to get him to wind down, and relax, and enjoy himself at times. It wasn't long before he was absolutely certain that he was truly in love with her, and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

One day, one of Xi'an's superiors let it slip to him that she was getting a big promotion, and Suriel asked if he could stick around and add another surprise to her day. When he asked her to marry him, all the SOLDIER strength in the world couldn't keep his stomach from wanting to get the hell out of his body... but he was overjoyed when she said yes. So now, he has another dream. To make the world a peaceful place where he and Xi'an can live happily together.

Personality: A Paladin at heart, Suriel views the protection of his friends and allies and those weaker than him as his top priority in life. His fiance, in particular he is highly protective of, though she hardly needs to remind him that she is fully capable of holding her own. Of duty he relaxes a bit, mostly when he's with Xi'an or his close friends. On duty or off, the most striking elements to his personality are his fierce sense of justice and unwavering loyalty to his friends.

Limit Breaks:

Level 1-1: Defender- Suriel charges foward, shield up, deflecting incoming attacks, charging up his strength before powerfully shield bashing his opponent with deadly force.

Level 1-2: Shield Toss- Suriel gathers his strength, then throws his shield. It flies in an arc before returning to his hand, moving with such force that it strikes like a blade.

Level 2-1: Coup de Grace- Suriel charges up his strength, shield bashing his opponent as with Defender, however, once the oponent is knocked down, Suriel gathers all his remaining strength into a thrust into the downed opponent.

Level 2-2: Fight to the Last- Suriel rallies all his allies into fighting on, granting them all an increased damage threshold, resistance to magic attacks, and the effects of both barrier and shell. The stat boosts last until they're taken down, but do not stack, and the effects of barrier and shell have the same limitations as the normal spell effects.

Level 3-1: Guardian- Suriel, refusing to go down, gains a massive increase to his damage threshold, allowing him to withstand far beyond the normal amount of damage before going down, as well as an immunity to magic and a massive boost to his natural regeneration, causing his wounds to gradually heal right there in the battle field. This state lasts for roughly 10 minutes or so.

Level 3-2: Last Stand- Suriel rallies all of his allies into one final charge, giving them all the effects of Fight to the Last as well as a temporary increase in their speed, strength and curing many of their wounds. (roughly the effect of Cura) The stat boosts lasts for 10 minutes or so.

Level 4: Never Give Up- Suriel sacrifices his own health, passing out and requiring several weeks of resting after this move. However, all his downed allies are brought back to life, and all of them (whether or not they were down) have all their wounds restored and given the full effects of last stand. The effects of Last Stand, that would normally fade in about 10 minutes, generally last for roughly 20 minutes to a half-hour.

Appearance:

Short and slender in stature. Her eyes are dark brown and her skin tone is pale with a yellowish tones. The muscles in her arms legs and abdomen toned and trained. Scars littering her body from head to toe. One large scar on her right eye adorned by an odd mechanical gizmo that holsts a single material, the scar trailing down to a barbed puncturing scar that trails from the right side of her mouth. Her face usually interchanges between piercing types but rows of rings or barbells line her ears wherever possible. Only thing that stays consistent is that she has two hang down earrings. One of a crystal shaped into a flame and one shaped into a lightning bolt. Theme stays within her hair beads, red and bronze beads for the fire earring’s side the green and black metal beads for the lightning side.

Extra body modifications are as just: A forked tongue and sharpened teeth. not just the canines a majority of them are sharpened to a fine point.

The beads in her hair are woven into red and green dyed hair at the side of her head while the rest remains white. Extremely short in the back. yet frayed in the front. She sports a mechanical arm with holes in the fingertips. Clothing consists of a makeshift Black Kevlar suit. Albeit not perfectly woven noting fishnets at the sides. Covered with dark grey slacks and a modified tactical vest she wears over both. Her right arm is covered with a cutoff Kevlar connected to her under suit by similar mesh like material.

History:


Born Yuuki Tsen the bastard child of a Wutian soldier and his mistress. Her mother at the time did not want to forever give up the aspect of having a daughter. So she conspired with a good friend of hers who also had a son to send Yuuki back with to Kalm with him. And that the mothers would soon follow before the conflict and war swallowed them up. but Yuuki’s mother was too naive. The soldier found out about his illegitimate child. And instead used her to pay off his debts to the northern glaciers for specialized weapon shipments only made from far up there. Yuuki was seven years old when she was dragged from her home to caverns. Her mother only wept when her dear friend’s son asked where his friend was.

Yuuki’s name was stripped from her. and had a #91 branded on her right forearm. And her hair dyed snow white For several years onwards she endured a harsh regimen type lifestyle of primal survival, a test from her and others overseers. You fought. You survived. You fall. You were buried.

Unless someone came to take you away. An outside source. #91’s source was in the form of two mercenaries. Who forwent their payment for a bounty job and took her instead. Reluctance was to be had but saving a huge chunk of gil was more profitable to the ones who kept her.
Yet her life didn’t change from what she had known for the last several years.
An apartment was her new cage. But her new overseers weren’t the cruel dictators she was used to.
And with time. one month.
Two. She began to trust that she didn’t have to fight with her fists or bite at whoever came near her.
But that just opened up a whole new door of insecurities when she had to face that life wasn’t as simple as fighting for survival and winning.

They wanted to know her name but the only name she had was written on her right forearm. #91;
That was riddled with bad memories of the past Instead Kai, one of the mercenaries gave her a new name. but one that carried more burden then he realized. Ekiri.
Ed. the other mercenary taught Ekiri hand to hand combat maneuvers that he had learned in Corel from a traveling martial artist named Zangan. Kai himself taught Ekiri how to work a combat knife and senbon needles once she became proficient enough in hand to hand. When they were out on bounty jobs she would read the medical journals that Kai and Ed had stolen over the years. she would be up from morning to late into the night to early morning the next day memorizing the human anatomy as the book had taught her. And when it came down to the wire when either Kai or Ed came home covered in blood and open wounds. It was up to her to know what to do. And to do it well. Or else to face the consequence of losing her guardians-….or rather her kin. Her new family.

But it was not all hardships and awkward understandings over the years. On her sixteenth birthday instead of going out on a job Kai and Ed took her around Midgar teaching her the routes to take to avoid patrols. And which stores in sector six of the slums offered black market deals on looted machinery and medicine, not just from ShinRa. But from quality sources. They also made it adamant that the store owners knew who she was and who to contact in case Kai or Ed ever went missing. But after a while of traversing around Kai couldn’t resist pulling a rather crude prank on an off-duty MP and nearly got a bullet lodged in his spine.
Not a lot had changed but this was something vital. Over the next two years Ekiri did minor errands for the stores that Kai and Ed introduced her to. But in-between her errands Ekiri managed to start seeing a ShinRa MP on a daily basis around the slums.

Ari Orosco. He wanted to be a pilot. But first had to charm his old man to it so he became a generic MP first…but sooner than later Ekiri found out that was just a ploy to get into her pants. It didn’t work. but that didn’t stop him from forcing his way onto her. he was dared by his buddies to “Make it” with a Wutian girl. But he never returned to report back. Ekiri’s pride wouldn’t let him.

Kai and Ed were furious at her for months on end for what had happened. Kai disposed of the evidence but didn’t speak to her more so after the event until…even eight months later neither Ed nor Kai had a choice but to continue to ask Ekiri to lay low. Neither of them seemed to have educated her on one very important fact of dealing life and death. And what consequence bringing a new life to this world had. But Ekiri dealt with it by herself. Even if it meant giving up a lot of chances to see this life. For work. the hunt. Studies. And her kin had more importance in her mind.

In the years that Ekiri had known them Kai and Ed did many stupid things. That included fighting incredibly dangerous slum monsters….sometimes they would be hurt…more badly hurt than before..
After a while. Ekiri started all of a sudden taking Ed and Kai’s bounties. Not answering anyone who asked where they had gone publicly. Or privately. Gaining a rather large source of enemies. For what would one think if the girl whom your best workers stayed by existed. While your workers had disappeared entirely?
At the same time she made a quandary of allies who kept to the shadows and kept her secrets well.

In these troubled times she also began looking for more stable work to make her own ends meet. She wanted to provide more. Something that mercenary and assassination work wasn’t cutting for her or providing her. An alias in case things with police went sour. An old man in the slums was looking ready to blow up angrily. He didn’t want his bar anymore. He didn’t want ShinRa breathing down his throat. Was sick and tired of the fighting and wanted to move to Kalm. So Ekiri stepped in and told him she’d take the bar off his hands. He just tossed the signed paperwork at her and told her where to find the rest. He was done and was going to go retire with his wife before the city collapsed in on itself.

Once Ekiri sorted out the bar paperwork. Restocked and redid everything….the bar was a hit with fugitives and those wishing to forget their dreadful jobs entirely. Ekiri made a tidy sum hiding contraband. Weapons. And all other manner of things under the floorboards and denying any accusations by officers stopping by. She still kept up the jobs that clung to her from the past.

But one day while working at the bar she noticed she had more than one odd unfamiliar face. She had been having one hell of a day with figuring out her schedule for that month when some jerk off was staring at her-

It wasn’t out of the ordinary for jerk-offs to stare at her but usually they wore suits. Since Kai and Ed’s disappearance one suit in particular. Darrel. An Ex detective from Costa Del Sol kept asking where they went. But never gets an answer from Ekiri. The same with Ed’s many girlfriends. Ekiri just tells them to keep their whore mouths shut.

-she just slammed the drink down and told the idiot to stop staring at her like he was some moron rookie and this was the military. Also contemplating the inventive ways to slam it down his throat so he would choke and then promptly die on the drink. But this just wasn’t her week and it wouldn’t get any better with a dead pretty boy on her floor.

Things simply flew from there; Ekiri is in a position where when someone’s badly injured to a serious surgical degree she’s on it right away. Though if it’s something minor she leaves it to the medic rookies so they can get experience. If they need guidance they’re free to ask her. You get your arm blown off and you’re a rebel she’s the one you go to free of charge. Though you’d hear or ignore a mutter or two from her about a debt she owes to the mommy and daddy of the rebellion.






Personality:

Ekiri is a very blunt and a rather cynical loner type of person who plays by her own rules outside of her immediate QUAKE related duties. Only real respect she has is for the two who she met before she joined the rebellion. As far as everyone else is concerned they can go throw themselves off a building. Within her duties in QUAKE she’s to the point, does what needs to be done give or take a few conversation starting or comedic comments as a protocol distraction if she’s treating someone for something that’s bigger than a paper cut to limit their panicking over nothing.

Endurance: Ekiri has an uncanny ability to endure with an iron will. She can be downed like any opponent but even injured regardless of outcome she will try to keep moving until her objectives are complete unless it severely conflicts with survival.

Contortion/extreme flexibility (Within human boundaries of course.):
If the job’s fitting into a tight squeeze area where those burdened with more muscle or armor may not Ekiri’s usually the best bet for it. She’s double jointed and has been trained to be extremely flexible from an early age.

Acrobatics:
When it comes to doing a fancy flip or keeping her balance Ekiri is all about keeping on her toes in a weird sort of way. The woman knows how to do a mean set of splits.

Hunting:
Sometimes remedies and poisons have to come directly from the source. Ekiri sometimes goes out to the slums to hunt monsters as either game. low bounties or for their innards.

Medical and anatomy understanding:
In her eleven years of medical experience and study Ekiri has seen a lot of wounds. A lot of broken bones. A lot of ways to treat things And a lot of ways for shit to go horribly wrong. She understands both how to mix remidies and mix poisons for gunners or knife specialists of QUAKE to coat their bullets/knives with.

Mechanical know-how:
Combining this with her medical understanding Ekiri has basic and advanced theory of mechanical limbs. What will work and what won’t work calculated in her head. she tends to make everything from scratch from her personal apartment. Even if it’s whole and ShinRa made she’ll tear that thing apart. For one you wouldn’t know if ShinRa slipped a barcode in there that would trigger through a check. And if you were lucky it might survive three bullets before needing extreme maintenance. She doesn’t do much else with her mechanical work skills aside from fixing up the bar every now and again and tuneing her motorcycle.


Acupuncture:
The treatment of pain or disease by inserting the tips of needles at specific points on the skin.
Ekiri often does this for her upper left shoulder from the strain. But understands how to alleviate other’s pain with it. But seems to not believe that acupuncture could cure disease or illness.

Advanced Ballet:
Whenever Ekiri had time she had been self teaching herself ballet. And since the age of fifteen had been strengthening the bones in her feet. She uses ballet as a fighting medium as well to keep herself quick. going on the point of her toes and practically launching herself in any given direction while keeping her balance with minimum stagger. But she cannot stay on pointe forever. And the grace of it is accompanied by the harm she does to her own feet. Yet as Ballerina’s do. she endures it for the odd creativity.
An odd quirk inspired by this is that Ekiri’s footwear themselves force her to rest on the pads of her toes instead of her heel or otherwise and imposes a bit of dominance in her stride while walking one foot in front of the other.


Driving (Motorcycle): Ekiri is rather dangerous with a motorcycle. Even though she can drive normally and about as safe as a soccer mom odds are she won’t. Half skilled in it but more than often cutting it really close to the danger zone of either a crash or a possible speeding ticket/reckless driving.

If nobody has been enlightened on the Rendecker Case regarding the beads I’d suggest you look it up right now, Blue hair beads... it’s signs of an inexperienced Bounty hunter. That was when we assumed she was fifteen. Now she’s twenty. And wearing red green and purple beads. Again referenced to the Rendecker case. Red for seasoned. And purple for how many comrades she’s lost. Two. I counted two purple. It means that Target one and Target two are dead. Or she’s trying to make someone think they are. Followed by minor insignificant reports that hint that Target one and Target Two’s work has steadily continued regardless of their status as nonexistent shadows. This is only theory. We have no evidence that she has killed. Or if she has a death wish. We can’t take her into custody and hold her. and the lack of evidence isn’t enough to warrant even one Turk to keep eyes on her from a legal standing. We can’t clean this one up.

It is like running around in circles with no end.
All I can ask. Is that all future Turks keep their eyes open.

I understand that this is hard to swallow. Raised in Sector 7 as a child, Kashido (his real name seemed to have data corruption) dreamed of joining shinra and become a powerful warrior. But his fate would change as he was chosen to become one of Hojo's test subjects to create the perfect soldier. He was exposed to large amounts of Mako along with DNA splicing of a rare pure blood wolf breed, hoping to gain its speed, power, keen senses and teamwork mentality. Years pasted and his body began to change, turning into a demi human, a freak of nature. The project was soon later scraped and was dubbed a failure. Plans were made to dispose of the subject; however, he was able to escape from his glass chamber. He is noted to be very Intelligent and a quick learner. Was last spotted deep within the slums. It is also noted that his life span was shortened shorten by hojo on purpose and was unlikely to see the age of 30 or 40.

Personality: Known to be very quiet and by himself from time to time. Very loyal to the ones he trusts and always strives to get the job done no matter the cost. He prides himself over his weapons and is known to shoot a person in the foot just for annoying him.

Weapon(s): Kashido is a weapons fanatic. He is known to carry different types of weapons depending on the mission he is on or how he is feeling.

Main Weapon: Custom MP7 Submachine Guns

Kashido’s favorite weapon. He carries two with an extended clip on both guns. He also has different attachments for any situation and also holds a materia slot system on the side of the gun (for holding his materia, and adding elemental effects to his bullets) They are small enough to wield them both like a pistol in each hand on semi auto and burst mode, but un full auto mode he normally only holds one in both hands for the stability and accuracy. (it would be overkill for him to have two auto submachine guns in both hands and fire them without shooting himself)

Natural Abilities: Reported to have a split personality. One being from his normal human like state, and another where he draws from the power of the mako and wolf DNA, turning him into a killing machine. A pure evil monster. This form is known as the Anti-Kashido or Anubis. In his Anubis state his power is increased, has a great control over the element of fire, and a great weakness against Ice attacks. His body is covered in flames and if they are completely put out (if he is submerged in water for more than 5 seconds) the body will die along with Kashido. When in this state Anubis is in full control of the body and is known to commit evil deeds. (This Transformaiton happens randomly, even more so during a near death moment as a way for Anubus to protect the host body)
