And the fact they're dividing it up into 2 movies "An Unexpected Journey" and "There and Back Again" makes me glad to have five movies from the middle earth.

I'm going to see the Desolation of Smaug this week ^^ Should be good, after the first epic movie. Serious fan of LotR, read the books, watched the movies, even own the video game.

I loved lord of the ring and really enjoyed the hobbit series.

yeah I honestly liked the hobbit more then LOR just seemed more entertaining and had more action in it, plus Dwarves are always a more comical crowd then elves will ever be.
