Alison stretched as she sat up in bed. It was another long, tiring day and half of her just wanted to snuggle right back into her covers. She did lay back down for a few minutes, but it wasn't long before her alarm clock went off. She sighed as she hoped out of bed and turned it off.
She yawned as she slid her feet into her puppy slippers, yea they were childish but they were warm and comfortable and that's all that mattered. Not like any one lived with her in this small one bedroom apartment. She shuffled her feet a bit as she made her way to the bathroom. She almost screamed and jumped when she turned on the light and saw the mirror.
"I must have forgotten to cover it.." She said out loud to no one. It may have been silly to others, but Alison absolutely hated mirrors or anything else that could cause a reflection and so...she kept the one in the bathroom covered. Why does she hate mirrors, you ask? Well...it was seven years ago during one of her ballet performances...when she sprouted wings of an angel. Due to all the witnesses, she was taking in for testing at some super secretive lab way off the coast of the city...she was trapped there for three whole years. Three years of her life wasted because the government wanted to use her for their little experiments.
Luckily, the experiments did not change her as a person....at least not too drastically; she was no longer trusting of the people around her...and feared that everyone knew what she was and wanted something from her. That's why she didn't like mirrors or anything...even though her wings are safely tucked away...where ever wings go when they aren't in use...she was scared they could be seen in her reflection.
She sighed and shook her head slightly as she went to go get a sheet and then came back to cover it, she had already wasted too much time with her reaction and would be late for work if she spent time wandering about it. Alison had herself a nice little job as the assistant of a music and entertainment magizine publisher; a whole day of nodding her head and running errands...and if not that then she'd be behind a computer all day.It was a job where she would blend in and not be noticed...the perfect job.Though she didn't know why she decided to get a job...or just settled on this simple apartment; the government had given her a lovely compensation for ruining her life...she could have bought a deserted island...
'Come on Alison! Pull yourself together...or you'll be late.' She thought to herself a bit sadly as she pulled off her clothes and fixed herself a shower.
Amber pulled the covers around her more tightly and smiled to herself, thinking about last night, she had finally mastered the duck-slash-flip she'd seen on TV a few weeks ago and couldn't wait for a chance to use it in battle.
She yawned and rolled over, checking the time. She sat up and rubbed her eyes-- wait, was that clock right? She looked again and gasped, she hopped out of bed and banged her hip on the dresser, crying out she stumbled to the bathroom and waited for the pain to subside. After a minute she looked up at the mirror and pinched her cheeks a little before turning around and got ready for her shower.
After it was done she blow-dried her hair and got dressed in light-wash jeans, a Kelly green tank top and her favorite black boots. She gave her mascara one final swoop and was out the door, pulling on her jean jacket as she went. She hopped into her used teal Sebring, and pulled out of her small town house.
She drove to the gym and climbed out, enjoying the fresh air. She breathed in deeply before walking into the familiar volleyball courts she loved. She pulled out her clipboards and smiled as she saw her team already warming up, this was great, she had such a good team this year, they would definitely make Nationals. She barked at them to start running and they diligently went to work, This would be a good day, Amber could tell.
She smiled at the girls and told them to practice hitting drills for a minute while she checked something. She headed over to the public part of the local gym, where all the health conscious people came to work out. She smiled at some of her old volleyball players and headed over to the front desk, she pushed past a couple members checking their card to go through the paperwork at the front desk. She was looking for a specific paper...where was it??

The piercing sound of the alarm cut through the hazy dreams of last nights show. One pale and slender arm snaked its way from under the massive fur quilt, gently tapping the off button with a dramatic grace. The arm simply drooped to the floor, dragging the small clock down with it making a small "thud" as it met carpet.
The fur blanket soon swallowed the arm as it retreated back into the warmth, only to be flung awkwardly to the floor, revealing the sleep ruffled inhabitant within. Covering his eyes with one arm, using the other to slowly find the small reading glasses, Spiral groaned. Once his free hand found the glasses, he slowly withdrew the one covering his eyes, wincing as the morning light blazed through the red curtains his manager had bought him.
"Oh sweet evil Jesus, go away sun..." His voice came out monotone and scratchy, lasts nights drinks reminding him how much he hated morning hangovers. After a long and exaggerated stretch, Spiral placed the glasses at the end of his nose before slowly sliding off the side of the bed, making a loud and unnecessary grunt once his face met the bright red carpet. "Why red?" his voice came out muffled as he spoke into the cool red threads, the scent of lemons clinging deep inside the fabric.
Doing a half push-up, Spiral slowly trudged over to the antique looking dresser, laying his forehead against the top as he sifted through the clothe inside each level. With selected clothe in tow, Spiral then made his way to the coffee machine, jabbing the on button before making his way into the bleach white corner room for a shower. Waiting patiently for the water to warm up, he checked himself in the mirror. A small bruise had begun to form from an unhappy customer slugging him in the face around his left eye. Poking it once, the illusionist winced, then sighed as he slipped into the loving caress's and warmth of his shower.
After half an hour of just standing under the water, trying to collect himself, Spiral then began to clean himself. Once out and dry, he brushed his teeth, pausing to slide his jeans and a comfy leather vest. The scent of hazelnut made its way into the warm and steamy shower room.
" God made showers, but the Devil made the biggest Sin ever...." Using a towel to dry his hair, Spiral made his way over to the now full brewer and pulled out a mug that read " Mornings Suck ". After prepping the needed ingredients, he then poured the tantalizing dark brew into his mug, sniffed it once, then sighed "...Coffee".

Noel's head rose, staring at the brick wall opposite of him. That same blank stare that sent chills down the average person's spine. It wasn't an evil stare, just.. creepy. Staring into those eyes made people thinking about impending calamities in their lives.
Which was why he avoided them. As a child he'd always gotten taunting laughs because of his eyes, even though the bullies were scared to death of him. Noel grew very weary of listening to it so eventually he stopped going about senior year in high school.
Since he was a dropout, a job was nigh but impossible to find, let alone obtain. Noel always found it amusing, that he should be named after such a holy-sounding word and be considered spawn of the devil himself. "A problem child" they dubbed him, even though he did nothing wrong. He only wanted to be away from everyone.
And he got what he wanted. He was away from them all and minimally happy. He managed to get enough to eat, miraculously, and had a decent life.
He picked himself up and began to walk the streets, averting his gaze from the people that walked beside him.

Alison smiled softly as she stepped out the shower and checked the time. Right on schedule. She wrapped a towel around her waist and stretched as she walked to her room. She took a glance out her window and was glad to see it was a clear day.
'Good...no coffee run in the rain today.' She thought to herself as she picked out some clothes. Her eyes hardened a bit when she remembered a time her boss sent her out on an unnecessary coffee run in the rain because she was late. What made it unnecessary? Everyone already had their coffee.
It took her a good twenty minutes to get dressed and such and then she was on her way to the parking lot. She smiled as she reached her dark blue Lexus and got in. It took her a good thirty minutes to get to the company's building and five minutes to park. It was always so crowded in the provided parking lot...she had no idea why they wouldn't make another. She hopped out the car and headed to the elevator leading to the main lobby, then headed up to her office. She had just got her jacket off when she heard the voice of her boss.
"Just what do you think you're doing?" Came the older woman's cold and stern voice, before Alison could answer she started up again, "I haven't gotten my coffee and you know I need my coffee if I want to effectively start the day, Alyssa!" To think...Alison's been working here for two and a half years and her boss still had no idea what her name was...all she did was nod and place her jacker back on before getting the coffee orders of the rest of the team and then heading out. Just as she was going out, her boss' Senior Assistant came in.
"Don't forget a double mocha with whipped cream for me!" She said cheerily and waved, of all the people Alison worked with, she was by far the nicest.
Amber finally found the paper she was looking for. Finally! she held it up triumphantly and got more than one curious stare. She smiled broadly at them and made her way through the throng of exercisers.
When she finally pushed her way through the crowd she was greeted by Bill, her boss, who also happened to be in on her little secret, due to a incident during a bar fight. He wordlessly handed her a folded note and she took it without blinking an eye. Bill had been pining after her ever since he got over the initial shock of her angel-ness. She unfolded the note as she walked and saw that it was an invitation to the hottest club in town, tonight. You were only able to get in with a pass, or if you were an especially beautiful girl. And Amber wasn't going to lie, she'd been able to get in once or twice.
She smiled to herself and hurried back to her girls. She kicked off her boots and pulled her mocha colored hair into a ponytail before grabbing a ball. There were going to start with one of her favorite drills, the girls would lay on their stomachs, with their toes facing her. Then she would throw the ball on the ground and the girls would have to jump up and turn around and get the ball over the net before it touched the ground again.
Amber threw the ball down, still smiling, this was definitely going to be a good day.

A nudge in the shoulder was all he recieved from the passerby, but as soon as the man had gone to complain he saw Noel's eyes and immediately shrank away. I'm not surprised. Everyone runs from these eyes. he thought quite sternly, merely wandering around town.
Nearby, he noticed a group of girls practising volleyball drills. He wouldn't have noticed if the front of the gymnasium weren't clearly revealed by glass. probably some kind of promotional stunt to "reveal how much fun everyone has" or something.
Noel could remember back in school when they played volleyball, they always tried to spike it at him. Probably to make him close his eyes. It's always been my eyes. he thought quite annoyedly, looking down so none of the people inside would notice his eyes, hopefully. But he couldn't help but look up every once in a while.
As long as they don't do anything.. it wouldn't hurt to watch..
Amber had finally let out all her steam and the girls were playing Queen of the Court. She whisked a stray piece of hair out of her face and headed over to her stuff, she pulled her boots back on and tugged the ponytail out of her hair, her hair fell around her face and she ran a hand through it.
She was just about to grab her clipboard when a serve gone wrong sailed through the air and slammed into the window's. She sighed audibly, her team knew her feelings about the window, it was not right for passerby's to be able to watch young girls in spandex run around a volleyball court. Who knew what kind of perverts were out there? She sighed and stood up to go retrieve the ball. She picked it up and noticed a dark haired guy slyly peeking at them from under his long dark hair speaking of which... she told herself and sighed again before turning around and spiking the ball in the general direction of the girls, who proceeded to continue playing Queen of the Court. She went back to her clipboard and made a few marks.
After about 10 minutes it was time for practice to be over. The girls went to their water bottles gratefully and Amber smiled at them as they headed to the locker room.
When they were all gone she walked around the court contently, what a good day this was. she fluffed her hair again and started packing up the volleyballs. When she finished she grabbed her bag and headed out. She walked through the yard she noticed the guy she had seen earlier was still sitting there. Strange...she was walking past when she noticed the guys eyes. She wasn't really scared, more like surprised, she had only seen eyes like those once before, on a fallen angel she had accidentally dated. She was so surprised she dropped her keys and had to bend down to pick them up, lovely first impression she was sure.

It was over shortly after he had gotten there. A shame, really. it was the only thing entertaining him at the moment. He noticed the woman drop her keys and bend down to pick them up, but it didn't really affect him. He merely turned the other way and began to walk, keeping his eyes averted to the ground.
Not my interest to get involved. he told himself, shrugging his shoulders. Noel remembered he had a dark pair of sunglasses, and even though the sun wasn't out, he decided to put them on, just to be safe.
Shades on, he continued to wander the streets, head up. Only some people were giving him weird looks and others thinking he was a blind man and getting out of the way.
The guy just got up and walked away well then she thought to herself guess I'll see you around
She stalked to her car and got in. She thrust the key in the ignition and turned it, the car made a sputtering sound and wouldn't start, she tried again but the same thing happened. "ssssshhhhhhiiittttt!" she said and banged her head on the steering wheel, now what was she going to do?

Cate sat on her throne all lazy like. Things were getting quite boring here in her lovely paradise. She stood up and began to take a wonderdful walk around the kingdom. She loved being queen. She had demons and souls do her bidding and she only had to lift a finger. She snapped her fingers and the soul of a middle aged man rushed to her side, bringing her a drink. "Very good, my pet. Now what is your name, so next time I must torture a servant, I will know the name of the one I want to replace him with?" she asked. Tha man stuttered, "My name's Paul, ma'am." Cate smiled, " Thank you Paul. Now go away." With a flick of her wrist, she sent him flying and hit hard into a wall. She laughed wickedly, "All in a days work."

Ali let out a groan as coffee split on her wrist. Holy hell that was hot! But she couldn't do much since she was juggling two trays. A light hiss left her lips as the burning set in. She then sighed...if she wasn't so hell bent on not using her powers...maybe just once...
She watched her arm and the trays carefully as she walked, making sure not to drop anything and making sure to do this right. Within a few moments water began to circle and inclose her wrist, cooling the spot and washing away the coffee before it disappeared. She looked around nervously making sure no one had saw and let out a content sigh to know she was the only one on the sidewalk.
'Let's never do that again...' She gave a sigh as she continued back to her job.

Noel paused as he noticed a girl carrying two trays of coffee. She didn't seem too unusual, probably just some poor sod who got sent for an entire office's worth of coffee. Noel would have felt bad for her but he also remembered being sent to do things by his teachers because they didn't want to look at him.
Some days just suck. he thought. Two memories in one day was quite unusual, since this city usually wasn't so eventful. Normally nothing would catch his attention and he would go right back to his alley and fall asleep. Day in and day out. He was lucky anyone was even kind enough to give him a nickel or a scrap of food.
Not very easy when everyone is afraid of you. he thought scornfully, continuing onwards, pushing his shades up farther.

Dmitri finished the beer bottle and stared down at the ground. there was a loud knocking on the door and someone yelling."Your rent is due, pay up!." Dmitri just threw the bottle at the door, then the knocks stopped. After a few minutes Dmitri stepped outside and walked to the local bar, but when he got there it wasn't open. He headed to the cafe to see if some coffee would sober him up. He sat down in a corner away from everyone else.
After a second Amber got out and slammed the door angrily. She stalked down the street, past the guy who was staring at her volleyball team earlier and past a girl carrying coffee, but she hardly noticed either of them.
Then she felt something, a strong pull in her chest, the unmistakable feel of another angel using powers. She gasped and turned around looking around wildly, but all she saw was a few humans doing human things. She slowly turned back around shaking her head you must be going crazy Amber... she told herself. but in case your not, there is one way to make sure. she glanced around and slipped inside the first place she saw, a small barber shop with a lot of windows. If she used her powers the other angel would feel the same pull she did and maybe make some facial expression. She glanced up at the sky and concentrated on sending a small, small spark of lightning to a lightning rod on one of the tall buildings, no need to make a scene, she just needed to know.

Alison almost dropped the trays as her body went through what seemed like an out of body experience. Then her back began to ache and she along with the trays fell to the ground. She looked around and gasped as she saw...herself in angelic form and a bit transparent hovering by a rod that had lightning dancing around it and staring into a barber shop. She blinked once and it felt like something had entered her. She glanced back at the building as she stood and saw there was nothing there.
'I don't have time for this...' She sighed softly as she went to pick up the mess she made. She glanced into the window of the barber shop just to prove she was in fact going crazy but tilted her head curiously when she saw a girl staring in her direction.
'Was it...her?' She shook her head a bit before turning around and headed back to the coffee shop. It was then realization set in and she began to worry. Did the girl see her? If she say her then who else did? She looked around nervously again, everyone seemed to be paying no attention to her...keyword: seemed,
Amber smiled, got her. She's obviously a newbie, I won't give her such a hard time. Amber walked out of the barber shop with a spring in her step. The barber looked after her curiously but Amber ignored it and made a beeline for the girl who dropped the coffee.
She walked a few feet behind her until she had re-ordered the coffee and was back outside balancing the many cups. Then she hurried up to her like she had just noticed her, "OH wow, that's a lot of coffee. I couldn't help noticing you dropped a lot before. Allow me to help you" Without waiting for a response she grabbed one of the trays and walked along beside her smiling helpfully, "I'm Amber by the way. When you dropped that coffee you looked like you just seen a ghost. What happened?"
Okay, maybe I'll give a little bit of a hard time she told herself and waited to see what this poor unsuspecting girl would say.

Now my eyes are deceiving me.. what else could they possibly do to torture me further? he thought, but paused as he noticed the same girl from before helping the one he had just seen.
eh.. why not.. I haven't had any human interaction in days.. As he walked over, he could feel a distinct burning sensation on his back increasing as he got closer and closer to the pair.
What is this odd feeling..? It's like I'm being pulled to them..

Cate looked around her hellish domain and sighed. Why must I be bored on such a gruelling day, she asked herself. She decided to take a trip up top just for the fun of it. She ran-sacked her closet til she found the perfect outfit. She smiled at herself in the mirror, "Well I look so beautiful for someone who is so evil." she laughed and transforded herself up top.
Once she got to Earth, she sneezed. "Wow seems forever since I've been up here. The last time I was year, I believe Ewlvis was still alive." She smiled and began to stroll the town. She came across a coffee shop, she smiled. She entered the coffee shop, her presence causing some sort of silence. She waved her fingers causing some mortals to move out of her way. She smiled at the cashier, "Hi can I get a large double mocha with half and half?" She looked around the cafe, noticing a few souls that she has when they were younger. She grinned knowing that these pathetic mortals would do anything for whatever they wanted.

"Uh...um thank you. But where I'm going to is quite far.." Ali stuttered a bit, her voice low, as the girl lifted one of the trays from her. She glanced behind her and could see another person coming towards them. She was becoming nervous again, this was a little too much attention in a short time. Still...she couldn't shake the feeling...that they all had that certain...thing...in common. She could feel a slight tug at her back where her wings are..both the dark wing and the white one was picking up...something...She gasped a bit when the girl's last question brought her back to reality.
"W...what happened? Oh..um my name is Alison.." She said in that low, shy tone of hers. It wasn't long before the another person, a young man, caught up with them. She felt trapped...should she just take a chance and tell the truth?

Gabriel sat at the window of the coffee shop with a cup of espresso in hand. His blindness never stopped him from enjoying one of America's best inventions besides the car, even if it was a sin. He was not a celestial yet like his brother, Jesus Christ, so he could still enjoy a good coffee now and then. He felt the Queen of Hell enter the same store and pass him by without a thought. She was kind of chatty, if he remembered right, and he disliked that. A peaceful time with coffee was always the best.
He set up doplegangers of himself to monitor the actions of the angels under his perview. He also, had some of them talking to the newly "winged" to inform them of their duties and their access to training. He, himself, was investigating the new sensation he felt 3 years ago. It was a winging like no other, one that could tip the balance or maintain it. The higher 3 wanted it destroyed and sent him to Earth to do so, but Gabriel believed in maintaining the balance of all things and maybe this new angel could do just that and make all creatures Gods included held responsible for their deeds. Gabriel tracked the energies to here and it was only a matter of time before he found her or him.

After three mugs of bitter sweet and sinful coffee, Spiral made his way around the suite. Running his hands across the curtain, the walls, and whatever else happened to be along his path towards the stereo that filled most of a wall, the only open space was dedicated to a massive CD collection of all genre's. Flicking a few switches, the behemoth of a machine slowly awoke from its slumber. The low and steady beat of a Bass Guitar rocked the floors, the music growing and growing until the speakers shivered with each note.
Closing his eyes, and holding his arms wide, Spiral let the music dance through his body. The world outside was drowned away by the beating of the band, every muscle and bone in his body shook. When his body could no longer enjoy the sonic booms his stereo made, he slid the volume down to a safe level before making his way over to a small jar of candy canes. Spiral gently plucked out one of the jar, then began the laborious attempt of peeling the plastic from its minty sweetness.
Using the time it took him to peel off the plastic shell, he absentmindedly wandered about the place. He paused around a small trash bin to dispose of the shredded wrappings, then placed the candy cane under his tongue as he slid one of the curtains aside and allowed the full force of the sun to wash over him. Warmth washed over his skin, and the strong mint of the candy flooded his taste buds. Even though he had work later down at the club, Spiral knew tonight would be interesting. Almost as if on cue, he glanced down and snickered as a young girl fell on her face, dropping a massive load of coffee all over the sidewalk. Another young girl who seemed to be making faces at nothing, and a man who seemed to be having worse a day than the women came into view as well. After the chain of events, another woman walked up to the coffee stand, an air of...something came from her as she ordered her drink.
"Humph, Klutz, Mental, Gloomy, and ... Snobbish" Were the labels he gave them. Leaning against the glass, Spiral decided to watch how things would unfold as the man suddenly seemed interested in one of the women, and the Mental one seemed to glare at the Klutz. "Now what move will you make?" He whispered as he watched the third female.

Noel felt a tug on his back as he was a mere few feet from them. The back of his jacket began to tent, as black feathered wings began to form.
W-What..? he thought, glancing behind him to find the strange appendages that weren't supposed to be there. Something was causing them to be revealed. But why? He had held this secret for so long and had never been caught before.. why now?
His dark wings came to full spread and he quickly tucked them back in, knowing full well anyone in the area could have gotten a full view of the odd spectacle.
Noel pulled off his shades and began to glance at the shocked human faces, further scaring them.
His hair partially obscured his eyes as he took his back to the coffee shop and began to back towards it, away from the two who had perked his interest earlier.

Cate grabbed her coffee and left the cafe. She walked slowly to the park, people passing her by, as if they had somewhere to go. She sat upon the bench and sipped her coffee. Pathetic, she thought, how these humans are able to waste the day away hurrying to things that aren't truely important. She was getting quite bored with watching these humans, so she pulled out her "cellphone" This wasn't no ordinary cellphone, this phone told her where all of the people without souls are, fallen angels, and some demons. She smiled when she saw one or two fallen angels were in the area. Time for some fun, she thought.

"Now If you'll excuse me I'll be on my way." he growled, trying to push past the lady.
Amber grinned This poor girl, I should really stop torturing her like this she shifted the tray to her other hand and was just about to console her when she stopped cold. She could feel her hidden wings turning ice cold, the feeling sinking down and spreading all over her body, then as if they caught on fire it suddenly started burning. There was only one thing that could make her feel like this....but it couldn't be....Amber turned around, but it was....The Queen of Hell. The good news was that she didn't seemed to have noticed Amber yet. Amber sighed and recovered herself, she had to stay calm.
Just then the fallen angel that had been following her since volleyball practice's wings spread out and everyone was distracted for a moment. Then the girl next to her had the same thing happen and Amber was shocked to see a black wing and a white one. She had heard myth's about these people, who belonged to both sides. She was also feeling rather annoyed, was no one able to control their wings anymore?
The Queen snapped and all the mortals cleared the room, and she sat down and addressed the fallen angel and the balancer. Amber set the coffee tray down and sat down behind Alison, there was no getting out of it now, she might as well just wait for her turn.

He walked towards Amber, his aura cancelling what he could from the effects of the Queen's.

Alison's head snapped up slightly as she jumped up from the chair, her wings turning into a shadow and a light, respectively, before disappearing. How could she have blocked out like that? She stared towards the elderly man and then to the woman....she knew them both too well. Even though she herself was not able to enter either domain physically, her mental self took frequent trips to heaven and hell. If there was one place the Queen and Prince could reach her effectively...it was her dreams.
"I'm sorry...but I.." She backed away from the table and turned around, heading down the street. She felt angry and responsible...if she hadn't used her powers..none of this would have happened. But atleast she knows for sure..she's not alone

Cate looked sternly at the young man, "Hey now don't go insulting my well beloved Hell. And as for who's concern it is, it's mine my little friend. Now look what you've done, I'm all mad and I don't want to be. Listen I think we got off on the wrong foot, I'm Cate the Queen of Hell." she said bluntly. She looked towards Gaberial and smiled, "Gaberial, darling, its been years hasn't it. The last time I saw you was probably about 1865, when Lincoln was killed." she smiled remembering the good 'ole times

Biting off a small section of candy, Spiral watched with a very perplexed expression now, his mind reeled at what he saw down below. Using the warm glass to push himself out into the room, he began to run the candy across his teeth, using the sound to keep his head out of the clouds as he thought about "them".
Striding across the suite, Spiral almost Waltzed up to a stack of paper, one singular pen laying atop the pile. Snatching the pen up with a practiced hand, the young man began his mental Tirade upon the pages before him. Quick notes of what was happening outside, small sketches of all the women, and the man he saw. Some standing, others doing other odd things like flying or dancing. Pages littered the floor as his mind practically vomited from his hand, poems, stories, theories, biblical phrases, and more pouring out from the end of the pen. His eyes grew possessed as he worked, a deep growl beginning inside of his chest.
As soon the the final idea and page touched the red carpet, Spiral unleashed a brief howl of triumph. Beads of sweat forming along his brow, and a lone tear slid down his flushed cheeks.
Almost as if on cue, the stereo began to play an upbeat salsa. The need to move overwhelmed Spiral, so he soon began to spin and twirl to the song. Literally dancing in his thoughts, the papers fluttered about his feet as if alive. His heart beat wildly, his breath began to waver, and the world around him slowly blurred into nothing.
Spiral awoke a few minutes later on the floor, several pages laying along his legs, chest, and face. The stereo had turned itself off after it finished the CD inside. Remembering he had to be down at the club in less than half an hour, Spiral slowly stood up, grunting once as he did. After grabbing a thin hoodie, his shades, he set out for the bar. Using his access card, he locked the door, waving to one of the other suite residents across the hall who also seemed to be headed out.
Walking through the main lobby, Spiral decided to grab a small drink before leaving, giving him a chance to observe the coffee shop across the road. Once his cup was full, he shrugged then began to make way towards the club, the sun was hidden behind one of the taller buildings, so the world seemed almost red through his sunglasses.
"Angels...and Humans... Humph" Spiral muttered as he stared at the shop one more time, then began to recite the rest of tonight's show inside of his head.

"Queen of Hell..?" he questioned aloud, disbelief quite evident in his voice. What did I walk in to now..?
"Well, I'm going. None of this is my business, clearly."
Noel knew it was best to just leave, so he started to make his way to the door, not intending to look back. it may have been her business but it certainly wasn't his. Noel just wanted to be alone, not get involved in whatever was going on.

Cate appeared in front of the door instantly, "Listen here bub," she poked his chest, creating a scorch mark upon his shirt, "If you will act like a child, I will treat you like a child. Now sit." She pushed him down into a chiar she had placed behind him. She sat upon a table in front of him. "Now look what you did, you made her leave." She sighed, "Guess I gotta call in a inforcer." She pulled out her "cellphone" and noticed a untransformed in the area. This person must do, she said mentally. She pressed the number and waited for this person to answer.

"You touch me again and I'll freeze you alive." Noel growled, his left hand turning to ice and becoming sharp, like the blade of a sword.
"You think you're so damn important. You're the same as the rest of them." he said annoyedly. He tried to move, but for some strange reason he couldn't leave his chair, it just came up with him.
"It would help if you told me what the Hell is going on here."

Standing outside the club, Spiral frowned at the large crowd that had formed for tonight's festivities. His eye and cheek began to sting when he remembered Last nights event. Sighing once, he made his way over to the back door alley way, running a hand along the rough brick walls to distract himself. As soon as he began to reach for the doorknob, a small ringing came from his pocket. Looking down at his side, he noticed a slight bulge in the shape of a small rectangle. Reaching in and pulling out the phone he didn't remember having, Spiral flipped it open and read the unfamiliar number to himself.
Pressing the Answer button, he held the small thing to his ear and answered with a confused tone to his voice, a slight tinge of humor made its way in as he awaited a reply from this unknown caller, "Hello?"

Cate smiled, "Hello Spiral, yo u don't know me but you will. Come to the coffee shop just around the corner. I'll see you soon." Cate looked down at the man in the chair, "Again if I were you I would refrain from using the word Hell from anything meant to be bad. Now before you go around demanding to know things, I must know the name of my new found friend. So whats your name?" she asked kindly, while pushing the chair back down, causing it to be held down by some unseen force.

Flipping the phone closed, Spiral stared at it for some time, an eye brow rising as he did. "The Coffee Shop?" he asked out loud to no one, his thoughts back tracking to all the happened at the "Coffee Shop". Looking up at the rusty steel door, random spray painted words and pictures covering its face, he contemplated what he should do.
"Go inside, and risk getting punched in the face again, or worse. Or, go to the shop and risk being seen by the wack-jobs...hmmmm, choices choices." Several minutes of musing, Spiral decided. Flipping the phone back open, he dialed in the only number he knew and waited for his manager to pick up.
"Yeah, what do you want?" a gruff voice answered. " Well, I'm just not feeling well enough for tonight,I think I'll cancel it"
"Spiral? That You? When'd you get a phone?" The corner of Spirals mouth formed into a smirk "Eh, not that long ago I believe, either way. I think that last guys attack's made me delirious, I'm gonna take tonight off. Let Ray and Mike have tonight." With that, he shut the phone and slid it into his pocket again. Looking around the alley way to make sure no one was watching, Spiral grabbed the near by ladder and climbed up to the top of the building. Then began a joyous run-and-leap game across the roof's until he made his way to the coffee shop. The buildings in this area where so close, that a half-hearted skip was all he needed, but something about the mystery of the call made him run.
Once he made his way to one of the shops side buildings, a small business that sold shoes, he slid down the ladder. Landing with a solid "Thoomp" sound, Spiral braced himself against the wall as his lungs ached from the run. Once level headed again, he made his way to the front door and entered the small shop. The heavenly scent of fresh coffee, and crushed beans filled his nose. The sight that lay before him though, was ver perplexing and caused his mind to briefly shut down.
"Ah...Er...Hmmm... May I ask what is going on here?"

Crossing his arms, Spiral leaned against the wall, his eyes hidden behind the sunglasses he forgot to remove. His posture exuded impatience and eagerness at the same time.
"Might I inquire once again as to why I am here, when I could be doing my show?" A brief thought passed through his mind before he made another statement "And might I say that what ever show you have HERE isn't really interesting me. I don't do SM or Drama's" With that, the corner of his mouth twitched into a smirk again as he watched the one man struggle to stand like a cripple. He also made note of the other girl, the Klutz, which made him wonder where Mental had gotten off to.

Cate materilized in front of Spiral, " You dare call this drama, I'll show drama." Her eyes flared. Cate lay her hands upon Spirals head and projected an image into his mind. A little girl was standing in the middle of gun fire between a few people, screaming and crying for her mother. The mother lay a couple yards from her, dead blood spilling from her lifeless body. Cate removed her hands from Spiral's skull, "Now thats drama. As I was gonna say, you have been activated as my personal little helper. You will do what I say when I say." she laughed wickedly, waiting for his reply.

The smirk simply grew into a wild grin as the woman before him stepped away. Memories of his youth flooding the image away like a raindrop versus a river. Pushing himself forward with his shoulders, Spiral sauntered up to Cate. Slowly lifting his sunglasses, he aimed an excited and severely eager look to her. "You are nothing but some snobbish woman with a few tricks" Something began to stir behind those crystal blue eyes, something that had been held back ever since he became old enough to feel. "I do nothing for noone!" He whipped a hand out for effect, emphasizing his displeasure. "I am my own master, not some womans toy, and You!" His fingers now aimed at Noel "Get up, you look more foolish than this woman does"
Taking in a deep breathe, then letting it out slowly, Spiral placed his shades back on and made his way over to the counter and began reading off the list out loud in a whisper. His mood had faded down to a simmer.

Do you really know who I am and what kind of Hell I can bring upon you and your loved one?" She walked over to him and tore off the shades to get a deeper look into his eyes. "Listen here, little boy, I have seen things you wouldn't have imagined. So you will do as I say or there will be consequences. Get it got it good. I will be seeing you both soon." Cate snapped her fingers and was gone in a puff of smoke. She appeared in her hellish sanctuary, glad to be home. She screamed causing the whole domain to shake. The woman finally left, and apparently took her show with her. This left Spiral in a state of bewilderment, his face almost in shock as he bent over and picked up his sunglasses. After a few seconds, he placed them back upon his nose, glanced back up at the menu, then at Noel, then the Girl, back up to the menu and began to laugh. A Loud, maniacal laugh filled with what Sounded like humor, but held more pain and rage than anyone seemed to notice.
Once he was finished, he ordered a small espresso and a large mocha latte' to go. Once his order was filled and finished, Spiral made his way over to one of the large fluffy couches and enjoyed his drinks for awhile until one of the teens who had seen him come in started whispering to her friend and making gestures as they talked in a hushed tone.
"Is no where safe anymore?" he muttered as the exhilarating espresso filled his body with a much needed jump start.

"I'd say thanks but that's not my kind of thing. Later." Noel immediately left the shop, not interested in talking to him or anyone else for that matter. He'd had enough to today and all he wanted at this point was to fall asleep in his alley nook.

"Yah it is" Gabriel waited for Cate to leave with her charges. He almost wanted to be a sadist and watch her torture them, but he had to be the guy with the white hat.
"Amber, follow my lead for a sec. You don't have to do a thing, but stand there and look pretty." Gabriel turned to the scared girl near him. He smiled BINGO! and cordually bowed.
" Am sorry Miss for putting you through this let me help you." He held out his hand for her to hold on to, and erase the stains of the coffee from her clothes. "Now let's see about that boss, shall we?"
----------
He acted the part of the blind man, and let her pull him to her job eventhough he could feel his what there just fine. The boss teared down the hallway and decided to give her a good rip for not getting them their coffee and even gave the guilt trip to the poor girl. He smiled a little bit since his last job was in the Pony Express, and the #$@# bosses still use that trick. The boss turned the "evil eye" to him, and it almost made him laugh. Dear Father..... mortals don't change that much do they.
"......And who is this blind old idiot.... your grandfather?"
That ticked him off.... but he knew how to make their kid squerm.
"This blind old idiot as you say..can still hear. Now this young lady had the initative to aproach me with an offer to be interviewed for your magizine. She gave me a good first impression of your company. Now you can continue to be an ass now and call me at a later time, or start making apologies....and quickly because this is your last chance."
Gabriel flipped a business card from his shirt pocket, which literally appeared from thin air. It had his name, number, and e-mail address, but no one ever looked at that. They usually stopped at: A Founder of Sun Records. Sun Records is one of the most popular record companies around famous for their Rap, R&B, and Rock music artists. It is true that he was one, and he never carried around a business card. The important thing is the founders of Sun Records never......never interview for anyone. It came to be believed by the publicPeople that the founders were a myth, and Sun Records is just a bunch of random bands slapping a record label on their albums to be legit. The problem with that is the artist are amazingly good.
As soon as Gabriel approached her the icy hot feeling went away and was replaced by a warm lazy feeling, as if her blood had suddenly turned to warm thick caramel. She couldn't help but smile giddily and it took all she could not to act like a 7 year old meeting Hannah Montana.
She had met Gabriel once before of course, but she hadn't seen him for a long time, not since the last big battle. When he turned away she felt a pang of jealousy, that girl was just a balancer, not nearly as important as her. Amber sighed and pushed away the feeling, replacing it with happiness that at least he was paying any attention to her at all, after all, at the last battle she fought with him, she was just a newbie, and admittedly she might have hurt more than she helped. It was a wonder she was still alive, but she was, and since then she had become much stronger and much better at using her sword and lightning control, and she couldn't wait to prove it to him.
So she followed after them faithfully, not saying anything as he'd asked and stood behind Alison, looking "pretty".

Alison watched eyes wide as her boss started to clam up and she started spluttering over her words and then an amused grin graced Ali's lips as her boss rushed off to set up a room. She stared up at Gabriel, of course she knew who he really was but the fact he had such an influence even as a mortal blind man amazed her.
"Exactly what are you planning?" She asked softly, her voice returning to its calm and shy state.

Gabriel smiled. It seemed ironic to him the Prince of Heaven could smile in such an evil way, but he just got what he wanted. Time.
" I am going to tell your boss a bunch of B. S. that will never see the light of day, and in return, you and I will have a little chat. No ones I am not some old man that gets off with younger girls. Hell, It would be rrreeeaaaaallllyyy hard to find any creature equal or greater to me in age. Just sit back with Amber, and I'll fill in those blanks you have about your 3 year vacation. I will tell you that little fiasco had nothing to do with me or my kind. It was all overzealous government slime."
"I am sorry to impose on your time a bit more Miss Amber, but this wont take long."
He calmly waltzed his way to the room where the boss was setting up for the interview. On the way, Gabriel's smile lightened a bit more because the entire building apparently believed that blind ment deaf because the employees around him were talking about stuff the boss would be aghast to hear.
Amber was more than content to do as Gabriel said, she didn't really have anything to do tonight, though she did have that invite to the club from Ben, or Bill...she always forgot his name. But that didn't really matter, she would much rather be fighting for good against evil than partying it up. Plus she couldn't wait to try out the new move she learned. So she smiled good-naturedly at Alison and said, "sorry for making you drop that coffee earlier, it was out of pure curiosity I promise" her eyes sparkled happily as she sat down in a rather comfy chair.

Flipping through a vacation magazine, Spiral recited old memories back to back. His eyes stung as tears tried to creep out, but then one memory burned them away as hot rage pushed the sorrow away. Taking a deep breath, then a swig of mocha, he sighed and went through the calming exercise. Letting every muscle in his body slowly relax until he almost dozed off on the plush couch, his eyes staring back at themselves as he watched their reflection in his sunglasses.
Blowing one strand of hair off of his face, Spiral stretched then rose, grabbing his coffee and dropping the magazine on the table in front of him. Several people watched him as he left the small shop, a small group of girls stood and slowly followed after him as he made his way down the sidewalk. Enjoying his espresso last, he dropped the empty cups into a small trash bin as he made his way through what little people where about. The girls still were in pursuit when he tried losing them down an alley.
Spiral made his way down another alley way, noting that some of the girls had split up and managed to get ahead of him. He slowed down and waited as the girls and a few guys slowly boxed him in. "Well, how can I help you ladies and gentlemen this fine afternoon?"

The interview seemed to take hours. The interviewer peppered him with questions about him, his businesss, and the rest of the founders. Gabriel calmly deflected the questions
with skills from thousands of years of questions. Finally, the interviewer got either bored or angry; Gabriel could not tell, blind after all.
"Well that was.... boring. You'd think after a thousand years or so they could change tactics."
Gabriel left the room after the last of the people inside had left, and made his way through the maze of offices until he found the two girls he left waiting. He stood at the door with a smile on his face. He did not face any particular person because his senses could not tell where they were without a little motion.
"I am sorry for the trouble. Miss Amber, I believe you have a few girls at a gym to take care of... and OH good luck with your next match."
He walked closer, in the general direction of Alison, to let Amber out the doorway.
"Well, I believe I owe you a coffee or two from the shop down the street. If you want to go, I can also talk to you about what has happened to you....... Oh snap, I almost forgot. My brother, Jesus Christ, wanted me to communicate to you his sorrow with what happened to you.... before. He could not do much for a while because he has to have a willing heart to act through nowdays. Well, since he assended.
I on the other hand are not bound by those laws, but I have talked to long already. If you wish to leave, we can continue the conversasion."
Amber was disappointed that Gabriel didn't want her there anymore, but she didn't show it and stood up and walked quietly out the door. Then she remembered, her car was broke down. The feeling of annoyance came back to her and she leaned against the wall frustratedly, guess I'll have to call the tow truck as she stood up and resumed walking down the hall she whipped out her cell phone and started dialing. She gave the man the address where the car was and he said he'd be there in 30 min. She sighed and closed the phone before heading down the street, when a guy said 30 minutes he really meant more like an hour. So Amber had some time to kill. She headed down the street before she came upon a quaint little library. She slipped inside and breathed in the smell of hundreds of books. She walked over and grabbed a random book off the shelf before sinking into one of the insanely comfy chairs they had. She opened the book and lost herself in the story.
