A brief synopsis of the story:

The Past:

Two warring Kingdoms, driven for dominance over their lands, fight to the bitter end. One king, knowing that his kingdom was going to lose, went to the order of magic, an ancient cult that had been helping him protect the kingdom.

Pleading with them, he asked for his kingdom to be put to rest, and his people sent into the future, where they could hopefully live on, free of fighting and strife. The sorcerer’s, feeling the plight of the king, agreed to help him, and began preparing a powerful spell to send the people of the kingdom into the future.

The other kingdom, catching wind of this, went to intercept bringing their sorcerer’s with them to try and break the spell, hoping to kill the kingdom in one fell strike. Though they had started, they were unable to completely stop the spell, but were able to alter it. The memories of the people of the kingdom were altered, to make them forget their past and to be replaced by one from the current world. The Other kingdoms army was eradicated in the blast, and the Kingdom left standing in rubble. Though they cheered, the other king remained unsatisfied, sitting upon his throne and angered by the victory taken away from him.

The evil king, King Lesh, went to his mages, and proclaimed to them to remake the spell, so that he may send his own men to the same future to kill the people of the kingdom, so that he may wipe out the remains of his enemy once and for all.

Flash forward to the present: Enter the present day, Kingport Cove, Maine. If your char is from the present and has “Powers “they will be a direct descendant of someone from the kingdom. If your char is normal they will not be ancestors, they will be normal ordinary every day people.

A chain of events will occur that will begin to clue the townsfolk in that something is amiss. As long lying dormant powers begin to come to light, everything the people of Kingport Cove, Maine have ever thought they have known to be truth will be changed during the “awakening.”

Name: Include any nicknames as you wish

Age: Self explanatory, yes?

Occupation: What do they do for a living?

Appearance: Detailed descriptions are required. If you feel the need to utilize a photo put it in a spoiler so that those who would rather go on descriptions alone have the option of not having to see the image.

Personality: What is your char like? What makes them tick or sets them off? Give a basic insight to their personality, that is all we ask.

Magical/psyche/powers if applicable: Keep in mind that every power must also have a consequence. All powers must be approved by the gm’s and remain hidden when you post your actual char sheets, until the powers become visible in the story. (see rule fourteen) A second power will be allowed but that power will not come into play in the beginning of the story. As will the first power evolve, so will the second but at a later date and time. Be aware that although you apply for a second power, your char may not receive that power or they may lose that power all dependent upon the gm’s discretion. In plain words, things can and will happen.

List of types of energy possible

Earth:
revolves around manipulation of Nature and the body, plants and the earth. (possible ideas: attack with earthquake, make plants grow and attack with them, blast rock and attack with the shards, enchant physical power, enchant speed... so on....)


Wind:
based on the powers of wind, lightning, and the mind (Possible powers: Read mind, channel the emotions of others, move things by the mind/wind force, minor levitate, minor zapping or channel energy.


Water:
Concerns the control of water, ice, and healing. (Possible attacks: freeze things, the power to seal yourself emotionally, breath a bit longer underwater, heal... so on...)


Fire:
Revolves around control of fire, heat, light and lava. (suggestion: Blind others with strong light, vanish within light source, heat your body and therefore not suffer from cold, channel fire if it is around you, heat things... so on).

Brief Bio: You may provide a brief bio/history about their past, but keep in mind that over the course of time the bios will really not be pertinent. Your char will evolve and progress throughout the course of the rp. Their personality may change throughout the course of the rp also.


Rules, Penalties, Requirements, and Expectations.

All RPA rules and regulations apply


These rules are not cast in stone; they can and will be modified if the need arises or for unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.


1. As always, NO god mod.

2. GM’s word is law.


3. No railroading (acting like a GM to drive the RP in the direction you want)

4. No powerplaying (your character knowing things that have been discussed in OOC)


5. No more than two characters a player (one hero, one villain)

6. Don’t waste other people’s time. If you can’t commit to posting at least one post per week, then please do NOT sign up as this is not fair to the other writers that are involved. If you have signed up and find that it will be necessary to be away for more than that time period then PLEASE notify the GM's so the story can be written in a fashion as to be able to continue without your characters immediate interaction. This is very important to the structure of the RP experience. If you do not comply with these rules, your character will be taken over as needed for the rp.

HOWEVER, NO SPEED POSTING WILL BE TOLERATED.

*SPECIAL NOTE:
Clarification: If someone wants to join but cant always make the one post a week that will be considered acceptable, but only as long as they communicate to us when they wont be able to post and allow us to move their char if needed in order to keep the story moving.


7. YES, for the sake of a decent story presentation please use proper spelling and grammar. This does not mean that the use of “slang, hillbilly, or country type talk” is frowned upon, it simply means please don’t present your writing capabilities to be that of an illiterate level.

8. Three paragraph minimum per post at least. Try to give the next person something to work with; it makes the story easier to write for all.


9. While your character doesn’t have to be “nice” in IC, You DO, however, have to be tolerant, play nice, and be patient of others in OOC. Real life happens, and at times people have to be away. Give everyone time to post, or else write around them. Rudeness will not be tolerated, no exceptions.

10. We understand that it is not always possible to post going by the previous poster above you, but read what all has happened since your last post. Keep up to date on the story, and keep the story up to date!!

11. Although it shouldn’t bear needing repeated, all MATURE Rules apply. If you are uncertain to as if a scene is too inappropriate for what the gms or RPA will allow, just ask.


12. Submit a character profile using the provided template. Detailed descriptions are appreciated and necessary. Pictures are NOT required. Imagination takes precedence here, not photos. Images MUST BE SPOILERED.

13. Please use standard font color for posting both in ooc and IC. Other colors are hard to read. The only time colored font is allowed is if you are using it to quote another person, and then keep it a color that will be easy to read. Do put your chars current location and time at the top of your post.

14. You MUST pm your char sheet to the gms before posting. Only so many applications will be accepted for normal people, others, and good guys bad guys etc. Your chars powers may not be posted when actually posting the sheet in the ooc after approval.


15. Things can and will happen to your chars in this rp. Accept that it can happen before you join, as there will be no arguing when and if something happens to your char in the development of the story. The gm’s will be guiding this game to some degree although we are hoping to allow as much freedom in developing the story as we can to the players and all ideas are accepted. Again, gm’s have final say.

16. No one will be all powerful and everyone’s character that has a power must have some negative effect or drawback to it.

Name: Su Lin Mok

Age: 26

Occupation: Jeweler

Appearance: 5’6” slender build with jet black shoulder length silky hair and chocolate brown eyes. She has a moderate tan complexion which stands out even more with the Bleach white slacks, shirt and open jacket she normally wears.

Personality: Su Lin is a calm quiet and very friendly woman. As a town jeweler, she is out going and interacts with all the people of town as well as visitors. Though not on the Town Council, she does like to interact with members of the town leadership so as to keep current on all regulations affecting her business.

She has remarkable control of her temper as it is needed when dealing with customers on a daily basis and is often soft spoken. On the opposite end of the spectrum, when she has been pushed to the point of expressing her anger, she is hell fire.

Although practicing non violence, she has studied Taekwondo since a child and holds a Black Belt. She often offers unarmed self defense courses to several women’s groups. She will resort to violence only as a last resort, when pushed to violence, she exercises maximum force to destroy her opponent.

She often has restless dreams, faint images she can not place. During the day she sometimes would shiver with no explanation.

Name: Trista Nunrico [aka Trixi]

Age: 26

Occupation: Deputy Police Officer/ Emergency EMT

Appearance: Standing at 5'10", Trixi has a good athletic body keeping in very good condition for her profession requirements and own recreational activities. Long dark blonde hair with natural red highlights that show more in bright light and especially in the summer. Flowing down to the small of her back though usually braided back for greater ease. Emerald eyes that are hard to ignore and tanned skin. Trixie when she's not serious, has a smile on her face. When not wearing a dark police issued blue tanktop, and black jeans while on the clock. She's seen in black spegetti strapped tank with blue jean shorts; hiking boot nearly always on. For her they are the most comfortable things in the world! Clothing attire is well fitted, accentuating her body and larger chest but never skin tight if she can help it...Clothes were made to move with you, not restrict when running all over the town for a thief, or tear easily in a tree with her personal bow sighting for those that would do much more harm to the town than taking money from a citizen.

Personality: Very kind and generous, if someone in their town needs help putting up their backyard fence or pick up their kid from school...she's only a phone call away ready to help. Having been taught by her father, the more generous you are...the more respected by others you become and good things are only to happen. But Trixi does have a bad side to her....which in turn makes her a great officer. Tolerance for ill actions, words, events, thoughts, etc is non-existant. Piss her off and there is great hell to pay!! Mistreat an innocent and not only would they remember HER name...but think nervously twice about ever stepping wrong again in her town.

Bio: 1st descendant born just weeks after the kingdom was sent to the present time. Her mother being a doctor in the local hospital and father an honest, hardworking landscaper for the town. Trixi wanted to help those all over who needed it like her parents..but also protect those who were innocent and bring those in to recieve their fair justified punishment for their crimes. So she graduated top of her class at the Academy as a Police Officer with heavy EMT certification and worked hard to where she is now as a Deputy. Living in her own 3 bedroom house in town with her 2 police german shepard dogs Maxum and Thor.

Name: Bao Kenton, sometimes known as “Kent”

Age: 27

Occupation: Bao is a squatter and doesn’t have an occupation. She gets by with a variety of odd jobs and will take up anything she can to get by, from selling drugs to selling junk.

Appearance: Bao stands at 5’ 3’’ and has a naturally petite frame, though she’s not particularly muscular or even skinny. She has striking straight black hair that falls bluntly past her chest when it’s groomed (a very rare occurrence). Instead, it is usually greasy with many fly-aways. Her skin is a slight tan, and her eyebrows are sharp, standing out above her almond-shaped brown eyes. She has a thin mouth that is set into a serious line when at rest. When she speaks, her mouth opens up primarily to one side, but also becomes quite animated when enthusiastic. Bao usually wears a thing long-sleeved shirt with baggy pants and is almost always wearing an Ushanka hat she received from a close friend.

Personality: Though she doesn’t look it, Bao is the kind of person who enjoys striking up a conversation with the right kind of person (who the right kind of person is, though, seems unclear). She has a naturally stiff posture as well as disposition, and even when she’s happy or relaxed her movements and facial expressions seem awkwardly rigid.

One of Bao’s less appealing traits is her addiction to lying. She lies all the time, even when it’s not necessary to do so. But more often than not, she’s prone to lying to make herself look better, for all of the smallest little reasons, and to get people on her side. Bao has a hard time telling a story without telling it straight.

Bao’s made quite a few friends over the years and has maintained and lost more than a few relationships. She holds the philosophy that no matter how brief a friendship lasts, that person will always be a friend (unless proven otherwise). But Bao’s known for maintaining even the most hurtful of relationships, because if there’s one thing she has a hard time letting go it’s a friend.

Brief Bio: Bao comes from a primarily middle class household that’s had its fair share of ups and downs. They’ve lived in the lap of luxury only to come crashing right back down to poverty and then back up to a middle class status many, many times. Bao’s lived in all kinds of living conditions, but none have been so appealing to her as the squatter’s lifestyle.

She used to maintain a steady apartment but soon found that she much preferred setting up shop in an old abandoned warehouse or two. Her family had scolded her on more than one occasion for being “ungrateful” for the opportunity to have a stable roof over her head. Though the disapproval hurt, Bao couldn’t bring herself to find a proper apartment, and became addicted to the lifestyle. Besides, being a squatter she learned the importance of not becoming too attached to material possessions, and this was the most appealing aspect.

Occupation: Photo Journalist and Columnist. Lina has also written a few novels, short stories and children’s books.

Rosaline stands 5’8’ inches tall and is naturally thin but not skinny. Having caramel highlighted softly curled brown hair with dark brown eyes, she makes for the picture perfect typical girl next door. Her ivory skin is usually brushed with a minimum of makeup for her work hours, although she does at times wear more when doing a night on the town. She boasts a rather large wardrobe including anything from plain jeans to designer suits and expensive dresses. Although she has a walk in closet full of shoes, her favorite type of shoe are Nike sneakers and leather boots.


Personality: Rosaline is generally friendly and outgoing although she can at times become withdrawn and reserved and that is largely affected by her current mood. Harboring a peaceful nature she abhors fighting. Once befriended by this down to earth woman she will be your best friend and ally but cross her and she can become your worst nightmare.


Brief Bio: After attending university and obtaining her degree in liberal arts Lina began her writing career as a columnist for the local paper where she still does some articles from time to time but her main source of income comes from being a photo journalist. Lina lives in a small house at the edge of Kingport Cove with her toy collie Lady, her calico cat Joe, and parrot Mattie.

Occupation: Richard is a world history teacher for the local highschool of *town*. He has been teaching there for 16 years. He additionally coaches the boys/girls waterpolo and swim teams.

Personality: Richard is a confusing fellow. He is actually slightly Bi-polar and has a case of dislexyia and ADD. These three things combined make his moods very hard to follow. He can get mad over the smallest stuff at times and be completely calm and level headed when it comes to major things.

Actually throughout most of his life he has been calm through major crysis' and has only ever gotten agitated over small things. He is a likeable enough fellow, very hyper and very active for a man approaching his fifties, and despite his random mood swings from his Bi-polar disorder he is very easy to get along with and deal with on a daily basis.

Brief Bio: Richard is a kindhearted history teacher and swimming coach. He has plenty of friends and spends most of his time on the beaches of his country, surfing, swimming, and sailing his small boat. He went to a local college for his history degree and lives in a cozy home nestled in the woodlands surrounding the town.

Occupation: High School Student

Appearance:

As you wondered the early morning streets where the sidewalks were still covered in morning frost and people were lazily getting out of their beds you shivered in the cold wind. The timer read a six in the morning close to almost seven in the morning. A few people, mainly adults piled out of the houses getting ready to warm their cars to leave to work. You hadn't considered another kid would be walking the sidewalks. You saw the back of his neck first, blond hair that edge up and fell silently over his bangs. His skin was pale and he wore a white and blue hoodie. You quickened your pace to catch up with him and greeted him with a friendly hello. Just moving in you didn't know many people here maybe he would be able to direct you. As you try to get his attention again he cautiously egde a glance your way. His grayish blue eyes timid and gentle, but they also appear lonely. He wore a pair of dark wash jeans and a pair of black and white converse. A black t-shirt peaked out of his white hoodie. And he wore a teenage mutant turtles backpack on his back. His peachy pinkish lips stuttered as he tried to say hello. He seemed nervous as he took back his hello and nervously gave you a yo instead. His face scrunched up into a frown as if yo and hello was not good enough he gave you a what's up instead. Still not satisified with his replied he gave you a hey. You couldn't help yourself and ended up laughing at the boy who gave you four different greetings in one conversation. This boy who stood at only five feet and one inch not even taller than you was weird. Noticing this the boy seemed to slowly dwindle behind. He quickly turned the oppsite direct and ran across the street to gain distance from you. That was the first time you met that strange boy. The image of that thin short pale boy still lingers in your mind.
Exactly like image- I know the rules. I am visual thinker though so I need both. Or else my head will explode. So don't look if you don't want to.

Personality: Stephen is your typical awkward, shy school boy. He's practically nerdy to the point where some people wonder if he has ever grown up. He's usually seen wondering around with a weird doll around. With a whisk as an arm, and a rolling pin for another arm. A button for a eye it really explains this boys head. Stephen is a rambler he tends to overthink and analyze everything. He spends his days practicing in the mirror how to speak to people and even then that turns into a hot mess. He had a passion for tinkering and adores painting or even engineering little do dads and what nots. He's a collector of knick knacks for whatever reason he spends his time in antique shops buying the tiniest of whatever he finds interesting. He likes cartoons and toy trains. His favorite cartoon is the Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles for whatever reason. He ended up awkwardly embarassing himself for school once by wearing a ninja turtle mask to school on a day that wasn't halloween. Generally picked on with no friends, despite the boys rather gentle and loyal heart there seems to be an air of loneliness that surrounds the boy. At times he seems sad and fascinated with the idea of his own death. He also has had dreams about robots invading the school, but that will never happen unless he builds them. He's shy around girls and ends up doing every person's nightmare when it comes to girls. One would be bumping into doors. Two would be falling the down the stairs. His favorite things to eat are ramen noodles and anything rather Asian. His favorite things to read are manuals to model kits. His favorite drink is Arizona tea. He dislikes dogs cause they stink. And for a very long time he has always wanted a turtle which his parents will never get him.

Brief Bio:

Dear Journal,

We have the technology to rebuild him. I suppose I'm still a kid inside. I never got rid of Mr. Tin. He was some strange doll my dad gave me a long time ago. The dog ripped one of his arms and now it's replaced with a whisk. I don't know where my mom is any more. She left a long time ago. She didn't care much for the family I don't think. I don't even think she really loved us. Her kids. Mom and dad divorced when I was just a wee lad. I was always the baby of the family.

I always had this thing for grabbing things. My dad raised me all on his own. Me and my grabbing hands. I was never the type of child to put things out of the shopping cart. I liked to take them out. My dad would get so mad. I don't remember much of it, but it's what my siblings told me. I also liked to bang pots and for the longest time I thought I was a cat.

Well now I'm more of a turtle. Which reminds me dad won't get me a turtle for whatever reasons he believes he thinks they stink. But they don't. And one day they could fright crime. Word could. Cause I live a lot in my head and the only time robots or turtles are going to do any kick assery it's probably in my head.

That's the problem my teachers say. They say that I cannot apply myself because I am way to imaginative. My art teacher thinks there is something wrong with my head. I bet if he wasn't an art teacher he would be a scientist and he would want to see the things inside my head. Isn't an art teacher suppose to encourage the youth of today be wild and out of the box?

Maybe I'm to out of the box. I wonder if I misplaced my box somewhere. I wonder then could I find it again. I don't know. I don't even know why I am trying to be philosophical here. I get bullied a lot at school. But I'm okay with it because I dream that robots take them as their human slaves one day. To build them spaceships. And then maybe they could make me their human ambassador.

That would never happen. They'd realize my speech defect and kick me off the whole entire ship. I wouldn't even be worth a slave. I like to do a lot of things. I'm a tinkerer by nature. I like to cook. And paint. And even cook. It's why I do a lot of cooking in my house. Cause no one else knows how to cook as good as I do.

But they complain I make to much damn ramen. But it's not the package stuff. I found myself on a Japanese site with a real good authentic recipe. It taste good. I don't really like the weather of Maine. To damn cold in the winter. But then again that is also my fault for not wearing proper winter gear.

Well I better stop writing. Cause I'm writing to much and then I won't have enough room for later. And that seemed like an obvious statement to make. I'm just going to put the pen down. But I haven't. But I should.

Name: Wesley 'Wes' Cooke

Age: 33

Occupation: Manufactured turbines for GE Energy in Bangor ME, for reasons had to quit and now runs 'errands' with some old friends.

Appearance: Thirty three years haven't been kind to Wes. Stress and work have caused severe baldness which resulted in Wes shaving his head. Often wears a hat (usually a beanie unless the weather is nice) to cover it up. He stands at 6'4 and is about 260lbs. Has brown eyes and a little bit of a crooked nose and laugh lines that always hang around. He is built like an ox from lifting heavy equipment at GE and wrestling in highschool. His most notable features are the dark circles under his eyes (lack of sleep), his rough hands, and a chipped upper front tooth.

Often wears a button up shirt with the sleeves folded not rolled up (He is pretty particular about his sleeves being even) and jeans or track pants depending on what he will be doing.

Personality: Motivation is always the one thing that keeps Wes on track. It doesn't matter if it is a job or keeping his temper in check. His motivation is his son; who is in a medically fragile situation and recently lost all the hours Mainecare was giving for someone to help look after him. This factor always vetos everything else. Whether Wes thinks something is ethical or not isn't important if it is stopping him from supporting his son.

In conversation Wes is usually quite cheerful despite how he may feel, he tries to see things as a cup half full situation. He does however have certain things that can set his temper off. Any talk of his late wife or son in a negative light for instance or someone calling anything 'retarded'. If he is able to control his temper it will result in little ticks like chewing his bottom lip or becoming quite fidgitedy. He is a quick thinker but sometimes his words come out too fast before he can filter them. This appears as him making light of most situations even if he is angry.

Name: Julian Rio

Age: 17

Occupation: Julian works in a bookstore as a clerk. He gets paid under the table so it isn't a serious job but it pays for his hobbies.

Appearance: He has a thin lanky appearance like he doesn't eat much despite the moments when he pigs out on some burger king. His hair is messy and a little long but nothing as long as shoulder length. He likes to cut it himself much to the disapproval of his mother. Julian likes wearing form fitting clothes and he keeps up with the latest fashions for people his age, although he prefers dark greens and camo. His eye's are big and brown, they catch just the right kind of light so one could see more of themselves in them than his eye's. His skin is a little pale but he tries to get out in the sun more often now since it makes him look a wee bit sickly. Julian's nose is slightly off to the right from a fight he got in with another kid. It has healed somewhat but it still looks just a little bit crooked.

Personality: Julian is a bit of a social pariah due to some rumors that have never ceased since elementary school. That doesn't mean he isn't willing to make friends, its just that every time he's tried his chances have been shot down by some jerk from school. So despite his best intentions Julian can be a bit depressing and emo-ish. He just needs someone he can trust so they can see the positive and energetic person Julian really is.

Name: Austin Vickers

Age: 28

Occupation: Head of a local gang

Appearance: Standing at 6’1 and having a slim-muscular build, Austin makes for quite the appearance when walking towards you. He has black hair that falls just shy of reaching his shoulders and occasionally falls into his eyes when looking down at something. He has tanned skin from being out and about so much. He has a defined jawline as well as narrow eyes which help in his menacing appearance and his “bad boy” look. He's usually partial to long sleeve, fitted, dark colored shirts with black slacks and boots.

He also wears a small bracelet with a cross dangling from it.

Personality: He’s a very proud man, he doesn’t like being undermined, being told what to do or helping others that he doesn’t like. He has a softer side that some say doesn’t exist, but to two people it does… or did. He has a very small inner circle that he keeps guarded at all costs.

Brief Bio: When he was young his parents were shot and killed thanks to two rival gangs having a firefight just outside where they lived. Police ruled it as gang violence and never really found someone they dubbed as the gunman until the trail went dead and everything was forgotten… Since then, Austin’s lived on his own, taking no handouts, making openings and doing what he has to do to get by. Some say his starting the gang was a way to replace his lost family and fill a void, others aren’t so sure.

Name: Zachery Acerton (Nick names: Zack Ace and Zack to his friends)
Age: 25
Occupation: Doctor/Surgeon
Appearance: He's 6'1, medium/athletic build, dark brown hair that fall to his ears, hazel-green eyes, and a light tan.

Magical powers: Mostly healing, but he can also manipulate the water in a person's blood, though not to a huge extent(e.g. He can make someone feel really sick or dehydrate them enough to make them exhausted more rapidly.) His powers, however, though they are fueled by magic in part, take a physical toll on him and can leave him exhausted or even unconscious if he uses too much. This is because his powers, especially healing, draw on his life force as well as magic. Because of this, a rarely uses magic unless it's a life or death situation.

Personality: He's an all around nice guy, but he has his limits. He doesn't care much for mean-spirited people and will voice his opinion so if confronted, but he won't result to violence unless necessary. He has a dry sense of humor for the most part, but at time can be a bit scandalous and sarcastic. He acts very stubborn at times, but it is mostly superficial and usually ends up conceding in the end unless he truly believes its a bad decision. He likes his liquor and women, but he's not really a scoundrel out for just a kiss and tickle, though he does try to project that image for his own self amusement. But in truth, he secretly hopes to find 'the one' and settle down and raise a family.

Fighting skills: He's no martial arts expert, but growing up in a lower class neighborhood, he's been in plenty of scruffs over the years of his childhood. So his fighting style is more of a meat and potatoes, rumble and tumble type of fighting.

Bio: Zack was raised in a lower-class home, his mother working two jobs as a waitress and bartender while his father was away a lot working on oil rigs. Though his father was frequently going off for weeks at a time on oil rigs, he made up for it by spending almost every minute he was home with his family and worked hard to provide Zack with the opportunities he never had. But at the same time, he never forced Zack to take a path he didn't want to take.

When his father died in an oil fire out at sea when he was 16, Zack vowed to honor all his father sacrificed and do the best with his life as he could and to take care of his mother so she wouldn't have to work so hard. Zack had always be more fascinated with biology more than any of his other classes, and after his father died, he decided to commit himself to it, dropping half his classes to get a job and concentrating on biology, science, and other similar courses. Eventually, this lead him to become a very successful doctor and surgeon.

Okay so, I've taken a Black and White picture to enable me more freedom at my own changes with this picture.

Okay, so dear Cherilyn has humble height, about 1.61 cm and weights about 55KG. She has curvy features, which are luckily placed at the right places (more or less, you'll never hear a woman admitting she is perfectly okay with her body), which is rather good.

Has hazelnut colored eyes and long straight dark black hair (which reaches a bit below her shoulders, but mostly picked up in a pony tail).

She takes good care of herself, but likes to have a casual appearance.

Personality: She is a self challenging, meaning if there is something she wants, she will get it. Mostly it happens when she wants to proves her clients she can get them any books they want, but it came to pass about many things in her life as well. She is a night-owl, and likes to do things her way than count on others. She is friendly and wise, but sometimes her sense of humor can be a bit too sarcastic for others.

She hates to deals with crap, or people who don't do pull their share despite the fact she will smile and pretend everything is rainbows and sunshine when in truth she hates these people. It's all political game in the end for her and she is good at forming her social moves, although she is kept to herself mostly, enjoying her own private space. That is why only her close friends will read what's wrong with her when she starts with the bad humor jokes.

To some she may come off as a arrogant person, when in truth she just having hard time dealing with people who aren't smart enough in her book.

Aside of that, when she has something she believes in, she will go all the way out for it.

And, although not the 'party' type, she is a rather fun individual to be with (unless caught up with a bad mood...).

She is a night-owl, and likes to do things her way than count on others. She is friendly and wise, but sometimes her sense of humor can be a bit too sarcastic for others.

She hates to deals with crap, or people who don't do pull their share despite the fact she will smile and pretend everything is rainbows and sunshine when in truth she hates these people. It's all political game in the end for her and she is good at forming her social moves, although she is kept to herself mostly, enjoying her own private space. That is why only her close friends will read what's wrong with her when she starts with the bad humor jokes.

To some she may come off as a arrogant person, when in truth she just having hard time dealing with people who aren't smart enough in her book.

Aside of that, when she has something she believes in, she will go all the way out for it.

And, although not the 'party' type, she is a rather fun individual to be with (unless caught up with a bad mood...).

Occupation: Being a cat, lap occupant, keyboard assistant and feline wordsmith.

Personality: Whisper loves attention and will do alot of weird things to acquire the attention he sometimes craves whether it's making long, arduous treks across entire keyboards and gently crashing his head into either the nearest person's leg, arm, waist or face. He loves playing with strings as well as toy mice that make noises when squeezed. He also hates being tricked and will slap those who trick him until they're sorry.

Powers

Kitty Stare: He can stare at anyone for an inhumane amount of time before blinking or looking away. If you stare too long, he will feel tricked... and slap you.

Sad Face: When he doesn't get something he wants he will look at you with the saddest of looks until you feel too guilt-ridden to deny him any longer. If you don't feel guilty... he will slap you.

Hell Cat: On certain nights when he's in the mood, he will find you and run at you sideways with his tail curled up, giving the appearance of a halloween cat. If you don't appear frightened... he will slap you.

Keyboard Cat: When you're typing something very long and not paying attention to the wording and corrections, he will point out what's wrong and tell you to change it in his own kitty way... by slapping you.

Bio: Whisper was once an abandoned cat that roamed the countryside, looking for a home day and night and finding none until one day he happened across a small shack titled "Whispers of the Past". In his mind, he knew that the home was meant to house him. Upon entering said shack he smelled all sorts of glorious aromas filling the air, his lungs almost exploded in ecstacy from the smell that bombarded him.

Setsa, I'm in a bit of a rush tonight but to answer, yes we can figure something out to let people know if they haven't posted/etc.

Clyde, I will get with them. I actually thought you had been pm'd so let me double check that first, okay?

And to sort of expand on what I said earlier know that Kris, myself and keeper will not always post each round depending, especially Keeper since his char is unique to this rp. We will let you guys know though when our posts will be delayed. And the rounds of post is not to delay people but to guide the story in a certain direction. We want our players to have freedom but there is a goal for the story and that will take some bit of direction from the gms.

Unfortunately as much as we three love to write and want this game to succeed, the other two work and go to school, and I work full time and we are all three on staff with staff responsibilities, so our posts will many times come on weekends thus the need for the speed posting rule. We truly have put together what we feel is a kick arse element for this rp and we refuse to see it fail! And with the group that we have, we can't possibly fail!! As long as everyone in the rp works together, doesn't move others chars or place them somewhere without their express permission, and they wait on one another, this rp will be one of the best RPA has ever seen, I've no doubt. I've been fortunate enough to be in some really great rp's here, and I am positive this one will join those ranks!

Appearance:

You wandered through the brightly quicky mart. It certainly was bigger than most quicky marts you have been to though, it was like a mini grocery store selling all kinds of rarities you could hardly find anywhere else. Excited you had picked up yourself a basket and were piling all kinds of rare finds like a jewel hunter. Strange sodas you haven't heard of in a while and can't find anywhere else. Foreign snacks still wrapped in their important packaging. The store felt empty though, for it's bright lights and inexpensive inventory there was no one around, except for the young man sitting on a chair behind the counter. You hadn't heard him welcome you to the store, then again why would he. He was doing what appeared to be sudoku puzzles while you were busy shopping for the rare items hidden in the shelves. You wondered who would hire the apparent goth. Well that's all you could assume since he was wearing black cargo style pants with combat boots. You imagined behind that sudoku puzzle all kinds of piercings and eyeliner. You felt somewhat nervous as you walked up to the counter. It was if he sensed your presence and put the sudoku book down. You were surprised at how clean he was. His black hair was cut short it stuck up in places, but you got the feeling that was the way his hair behaved. His skin was a smooth milky color and his eye color was unique. Orange and red like the fiery pits of a volcano, they snapped with both furiosity and sadness. He wore a plain white t-shirt and two necklaces. The shortest one around his neck had mini fangs made from what appeared to be seashells and the other appeared to be a real sharp fang. There were dark circles around his eyes as if he had many sleepless nights, his hands were banged up lots of small cuts. "You going to pay" suddenly appeared in front of her. A black cellphone in his hands written with this text alone. You felt a little embarassed here you were watching his appearance and had completely forgotten about him. You handed him the money and as you made your wait out, you watched the "Be back in five minutes" sign appear on the counter. The boy grabbed a black trench coat and left the counter towards the back.

Personality: Despite his rough appearance and dangerous exterior, he's pretty much a well rounded person. He's calm and gentle. He's a loner type who spends most of his time by himself. He enjoys puzzles. Being the type of person who spends a lot of time in his own head, he is somewhat fascinated by puzzles and enjoys working on them. Even though he isn't much of a talker he realizes this is the world of information and communication and will speak to people when it is is necessary. Pryce is mute a situation explained more in his history has left him unable to live the world the same way we do. He feels isolated and ghost like for the most part. He is an insomniac and rarely sleeps, he tends to have feverishly destructive nightmares. I wouldn't say Pryce is a genius type of person, but he is above the standards. He's rather mature for his age, which gives him the aura of someone much older. Unable to talk to real people he tends to retreat online or retreat into his own head. Pryce has also created his own coded language to deal with the difficulties of being unable to speak to anyone. The things Pryce fears the most are death and dying alone. He also fears his own loneliness and sadness, but he doesn't no how to escape from his own paranoid nightmares. He tries his hardest to remain as busy as possible so he doesn't have any time to think, which can be hard. Pryce is the type of person who is only on or off there is no in between. His hobbies include puzzles and computers. His likes are puzzles and computers. His dislikes are graveyards and difficult people. His favorite foods include pizza and pudding, but being vegan means he makes his own pizza and tends to eat soy pudding. His favorite drinks include Izze Sodas and Sobe Life Water, but only Pomegranate Cherry.

History:

There were her legs, long and slender just hovering over the steps of the stairs. There was something dead in her eyes. Something about her at this pinnacle of death silently frightened me into retreating within a shell. She had no tears, no regrets. No note. I don't remember if I ever picked up the phone, but I remember all I did was sit at the top of the stairs and stare at her body. It felt as if I was spying into the most private parts of someone's life. I don't remember how long I stood at those stairs, looking at the pale skin of my own mother.

I think from then on I forgot what to say. It was as if my ability to speak was stolen I suppose. Some people thought I was faking it, but my words seemed to disappear. My brain had stolen my words. You can't go on in this world without communication. In the day and age of texting there should be something to learn. My canvas was the screen of my cellphone and my language became something of my own, though this happened much later in my life. My first canvas hadn't appeared at this time. You have text slang and then I suppose you have my version of slang which people felt was complicated sometimes.

I remember those days being my dad feverishly trying anything he could to make me better. To fix me. To make me human again. He tried everything from trying to bring back the childish pleasures of holidays to psychologist. I remember sitting on a lot of strange people's couches. They weren't even couches, just really ugly hard chairs. Even the ones with the cushions ended up being really hard to sit on for more than a few hours. I remember them asking me questions, like why won't you speak to anyone Pryce? Well they used my first name. And I remember not being able to answer. I didn't know why.

There were his legs, large and meaty. The appearance of a muscular man now going soft and fat. His hands were entwined in rope like tinsel as he wrapped it around the banister. He said to me, Christmas is coming up son. I just stared at him. I was fifteen, it had been four years since I had seen her legs dangling down the way the tinsel seemed to dangle. He was staring down at me from the ladder and I stared at him too. "Do you have an objection?" he asked me. "No" I replied, but only in my head my father couldn't hear me. My words were stuck in my head. He only sighed as he stared at me. I remember that December sitting on the stairs everyday coming home from school, sitting on the stairs staring at the tinsel.

And from there I even after school was out just sitting on the stairs staring at the tinsel. Dad had met someone too. He brought her over several times and she was somewhat nervous I got the feeling with me staring at the tinsel. My father seemed somewhat annoyed with my past time. It was sit on the stairs watch the tinself. I even brought my pens and puzzle books to the top of the stairs just to watch the banister. I don't know why. I just did. One day someone sat beside me. It was her the woman I didn't really know even though dad had been bringing her over for months now. "What's wrong Pryce?", but she too used my first name. "It's Pryce," I correctd her, but only in my head she couldn't hear these words.

"Do you miss your mom?" she asked again with her mouth.

I just stared at her. This woman. Her long blond hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall cascading down a mountain range. She smiled at me and put her hands on my cheek. Even if I knew how to speak I wasn't sure what to respond with here. She smiled at me.

"You know it's okay to be sad," she said, "I lost my mother too."

"You're just trying to make me feel better," I replied in my head only inside my head.

She seemed to smile again.

"I know it isn't Christmas yet," she said, "But I want to give you a gift early."

I watched her figure walk down the stairs. Her long slender legs reminded me of those long slender legs hanging in the air. She darted behind a wall and disappeared for a rather long time. She wore a curiously beautiful smile as she came back up the stairs with a box wrapped in red and gold wrapping paper. She smiled at me.

"I know it isn't a puzzle," she said staring at mine at the floor, "But I thought it would help. I had to convince your father of course."

I opened the box without the childish excitement most people represented on the holidays. There was in a white box. A cellphone. My first. My first canvas. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to be excited or was there a better reaction in play. So I remember just staring at her. Two years after that Christmas the woman wedded my father and I was there with my own language and my own ability to speak. Partly because of her. I don't think my father appreciated it. He felt it encouraged me that it was okay not to speak with my lips. He felt it encourage me to remain silent.

But even now I don't remember. Don't know how to make my brain communicate to my voice, to my lips. To my father's disappointment.
