Viatec is a research business facility. They research technologies that could make humanity more simplistic in design. They are a research business facility, they do not design products and send them out to the world. Instead they test and manufacture ideas, which they sell other business who are more into dealing with trading and the global market. In turn as well Viatec researches new technology for the companies as well. Viatec is the leading research designer of better today products. They research everything from medicine to computer software for businesses to complete. Which probably comes to what's hidden behind doors. Because they research in different fields for different companies, the new wonder drug they created and gave up to one of the pharmacy companies has a possibility of killing people. Tested in Viatec labs it was considered unsafe, and even killed one of their scientist. But the medical company thought it good enough and bribed Viatec into releasing the unsafe pill to the markets. A few small incidents have occurred, but under the protection of money Viatec safely lies that they had no idea about this and even the business facility whom actually produces the drug they claim they knowing nothing of this as well. Viatec came out with good intentions, but are quickly being consumed by the marketing mindset some of the companies have. Many products are not as extensively researched as they use to be; companies now require products and new ideas faster than they can be carefully studied and watched.
