The interdimensional adventure
In a certain dimension a tragedy struck. A techno-plague, caused by mind-controlling nanites, spread throughout the entire dimension. It, unfortunately, did not stop there. Eventually the collective minds of the nanites figured out how to travel from dimension to dimension. That’s where things became dangerous. As these nanite-infested beings learned of new dimensions they spread their virus with them. Several dimensions have already fallen to this plague. Worlds have tried to make resistances, but they have all failed so far. Four great warriors have been put on a team. Their goal is to stop the plague before it spreads to take over the entire multiverse. The task will not be easy, but these are the best of four dimensions, if they were to lose all hope would surely be lost.

Microscopic robots. They take over the bodies and minds of anyone they are injected into. Their dimension of origin is currently unknown. They can transfer the physical strength and, in some cases, abilities of anyone in the collective to another member or set of members.

This team is made of four specialists from different dimensions. They all specialize in different areas (meaning not everyone may have fighting potential), but are well-known for settling conflict. They have a special dimension in reserve as a base with the most advance technology available for defeating the nanite threat.

While fighting will be important in this RP, it will not be the center. The core of the roleplay will be thinking of new dimensions to explore. I will not be the only person to create dimensions (or I do not intend to be anyway). Every world that the heroes encounter will have problems with the nanite infestation, whether it be that they just discovered the dimension, or have nearly taken it over. Each dimension will have at least one main goal to be accomplished, what it is and how it can be done is up to the person who made the dimension (as long as it does not distract from the main plot too much). Each goal should bring the heroes closer to defeating the nanites for good.

Species: Everyone is from another dimension, so I don’t expect everyone, if anyone, to be human, or a species we rightly recognize for that matter. Do explain a little bit about your species in this section as well.
Dimension: Like I’ve said previously, everyone comes from a different dimension; tell us a little about your characters world

History: Everybody has done something with their life, what has your character done?
Abilities: Anything your character can do, that a human cannot, will go here
Gadgets: not everyone is physically able, put any weaponry or helpful machinery you character carries
Gender: I don’t expect everyone to put male or female, we are talking about different species after all


My character
Name: George Garendium
Species: Human/Amoebia chimera. Made by genetic manipulation. He has the ability to change shape as an amoeba would, but has intelligence and size of a human being.
Dimension: George was made to escape the apocalypse of his world. Though it no longer exists it was something of a utopian society when it did exist. The ground of his planet had been polluted beyond the chance of survival, but by that time most people had moved into extremely tall constructs that were capable to supporting sidewalks, homes, and large businesses from very high up.
Appearance: George looks like an amoeba with a general human-like shape. His "hair" though really just part of his head looks like three ocean waves falling to his right side, the "wave" closest to the left is smallest with the one to the right being the biggest. His only facial feature is his "eyebrow" that is really just part of his body that is extended forward to look and be used as an eyebrow. His fingers look like one fused together except for his thumb. His feet are round blobs that have no definite shape. Otherwise his body looks like an inflated stick figure.
History: George was genetically enhanced with amoeba DNA before birth. He was made to get out of his home dimension before it collapsed and was destroyed. While in his dimension he used the advanced technology there to gain a descent amount of knowledge of physics, math, and other forms of science. After leaving his home dimension he began traveling through space/time as a sort of superhero teaming up with other local heroes in defeating various evils when necessary. Eventually he ended up in one of the dimensions being attacked by the techno-plague and was told to go to another dimension to find help. Once there he learned that several of the dimensions he had previously been to were part of a movement to find a solution to the problem. With his reputation he was one of the four chosen to be part of the small task force.
Abilities: George is capable of changing his shape, size, and mass. He can regrow/regenerate parts of his body that have been cut off by changing the area left into a replacement. George absorbs nutrients, oxygen, and other things into his body rather than eating, drinking and breathing. This also helps as his body and choose not to absorb harmful substances such as toxins.

Gender: Physically none, mentally male

This sounds interesting. I like the idea of different dimensions to explore and like that our characters can be any type of species. I'll post my CS soonish.

Name: Fei Yu’an (Peace Bringer)

Species: Homin – The homins are elusive magical entities capable of taking on diverse appearances; their true nature is not represented in the form of a superior hominoid, instead are a bodiless entity of pure energy that presides over a kind of nirvana. They guard over the plant kingdoms and ensure that nothing destabilizes the fragile equilibrium of the dimensions they cherish. They share a collective conscience and it would seem that no living species can escape their perception, and consequently, their wrath if their laws of conservation are transgressed. Homins travel freely through the dimensions keeping endless watch over living planets.

Dimension: Far across the universe there was a vast synthesis of matter, and a unique world came into being. Eden, the emerald planet, was born. Eden burst in spasms until the first breath was wrenched from her bosom in a throbbing burst of energy. Seeds of existence were strewn on the wind. Its marvels are equaled only by its dangers. Among its forests, lakes and deserts exists both magical places and the face of death itself.

Appearance: Because homins are pure energy they can take on several forms, but usually they mimic that which they meet first. History: There are only a handful of Homins in existence. Fei Yu’an (Fei) is one within the younger generation; the real age is inestimable in human terms. Fei is currently on a labyrinth path, a ritual path, one that all homins experience before returning to Eden where they can then join the life source that sustains their planet. Fei must survive the journey or it cannot return home.

Abilities: Homin’s technology is unexplainable it can only be classified as supernatural. The technology manifested itself through a corporal conditioning as a type of self-defense; homins can manipulate old age chemical elements acid, cold, poison, fire, electric, and shock-wave, and force out this magic from their physical self. They hold a higher connection with nature and through use of what they call the ‘celestial light’ can heal themselves and others.

Gadgets: Homins use special gloves they call amplifiers that increases the magnitude and voltage of their magic with incredible force and range.

Gender: Asexual

Cool tnx. I based my character on my favorite MMO. I know my character is more of a fantasy type but I thought it would be a good contrast against the futuristic setting for this RP. I think the challenge for Fei will be trying to understand the technology behind the Nanites since it comes from a world where such technology is non-existent. Plus I want to play a more diplomatic and investigative role than a warrior type.

What is the idea behind the dimensional worlds we create, are we expected to run the plots within these worlds?

basically, yeah. You control the world(s) you make. While I will be controlling the overall plot I will not fully control this RP, rather who the RP is controlled by will be determined by who made the dimension the characters are currently in.

Name: Grant
Species: Dragon Kin is a small dragon about 8 feet tall that walks on 2 legs and has the ability to fly because of its wings.

Dimension: It came from a demension of many different species it was lush with a lot of plant life and also there is a lot of volcanic activity which this is where Dragon Kin live.

Appearance: It stands about 8 feet tall and has a wingspan of 11 feet, wings do fold in so it can go anywhere a human can. It has raptor like claws but with 5 claws in front and 2 that stick out the back so it can clamp things like a bird. It does not have any feathers, lot of people say this is because of where they live and although these creatures are aggresive this one is kind. Its skin is thick to make up for the lack of feathers not even a low caliber bullet can pierce it skin. It has 3 hearts and 5 lungs its stumick is made to digest anything and its teeth are made for taring. The head is much like a raptor but ears stick out the side and poin back slightly for aerodynamic purposes. Its eyes are catlike with the narrow pupils and eyelids that double like an aligator this is because the eyes are crutial for its survival, but one eyelid closed and it can see through it like a heat vision. The hands and arms are basically human but claws instead of hands and a horn that sticks out each elbow there are also 3 horns on his head 2 small ones that go in line directly on top and one that kinda feathers back and is broken off. It has a tail that is 5 feet and spiked at the end. It is all red with black stripes along its body.

History: You may have heard that these creatures are bent on war and are more territorial then dogs. But this one grew up in the forest away from its habitat. It was raised by a familly of Ents or tree spirets that are nice so generaly they brought him up the same way. And it paid off except when it started to go through puberty then it got hungry and started to kill much of the wildlife for sport or food. The Ents put a curse on him so he can never become a full monster like the rest of its clan of beasts. He does not know what the curse does but since then he never hungered for flesh but started to help the local wildlife even protected it from his own kind.

Gadgets: He carries a scyth that is made from the ents as a gift for protecting there forest this scyth is heavy so no human could carry it but it gets as small as a pendent and weightless so he can fly he normally wears it around hi wrist on a chain. When he calls its name Ruthor it will grow 5 feet tall and way as much as an anvil. It is nicknamed the moon scyth for it is double bladed and loops inward.

I'll flesh this out more later, but this is good enough to start the RP for now.

Name: Dante Alighieri
Species: Loup-Garou; The loup-garou are a species of wolf like humanoids. They're one of the most advanced species of their dimension with their intellect being the level of humans.

Each Loup-garou has different abilities but the three that all of them have is the ability to shape shift into two different forms and their highly developed senses. The first of the forms, and the most used, is the full wolf. It's the main form of the Loup-Garou, which looks just like a normal Earth wolf, although two times it's size.

Their second form is bipedal, is also about the same size of a human and is mostly used for ceremonial type things or warfare because it gives them the ability to handle weaponry. The only times the first form is used is in a duel, a scouting mission or close quarters combat, (the shift between forms is near instantaneous)

Dimension: The Loup-Garou planet , Firis, is lush with plant life, mostly forests. There are two intelligent species living Firis, one is the Loup-Garou-who stick to the forests- and the other species are the Cieles-which live in floating cities in the planet's upper atmosphere. (I'll flesh this out later)
Appearance: 1st form: Wolf with black fur and golden eyes standing at about six feet tall at the shoulder with his fangs being about four inches long
History: Although almost everything about Dante was average as a Loup-Garou there was one major difference, his ability to manipulate shadows, there were other Loup-Garou around with his ability but they were far and between and because of that they were held in higher regard than others.

With the threat of the nanites the Loup-Garou sent out one of these rare members of their species to help, Dante.
Abilities: Shape-shifting, highly developed senses, the ability to manipulate shadows

Hey, this looks like fun-ness, I see you already have the character's you need but if it's not too much trouble I'd like to suggest a couple dimensions you could do :)

Dimension 1: The planet of Emporia, it is a lot like Earth actually, except the technology is way less advanced, the people who live on Emporia don't need technology because they have their own set of special abilities. Let me explain:

Emporian's are each born with 4 special "powers". Whether it be ability to control lightning, ability to talk to animals, ablility to move things with mind, and so on. Usually the powers are some what similar. The world of emporia is split into 2 groups, the Physical's and the Mental's. (yes I know, I am clever with the name making-up) The kingdom of the physicals is full of all the Emporian's who have powers that do something you can physically see, like moving objects or controlling water. The mentals however all have powers you can't see, and are used with your mind, reading minds, mind control etc. Then there are the rare people who are born with a little bit of both powers, those are the Inbetween's who are able to cross into both kingdom's as they wish. Now the Physical's and the Mental's have a little rivalry going on, the physical's are typically happy-go-lucky's who enjoy life and like fighting and stuff, the Mental's are typically elitist's who like to calculate everything they do before they take an action. So you can imagine that they don't get along.
