The Story

A year before, of those who entered fought in the presence of the gods until only one survived.

So much so they pulled another gap in space and time to create the location for a second Deathmatch.

Where only one man, or woman, will stand.

The System

It's really simple but I've had issues explaining it before. Here is how it works. It's every man for themselves.

You attack and you will be attacked until you run out of lives(Frags as they are called).

Who ever still has lives at the end of it is the last man standing.

And the winner of the entire game.

Player appearance: I actually recommend a picture over words but know that's what we'll take as your full appearance.
You should definitely add writing to change the clothing if you want.
If you only post a picture then we have to assume that that is exactly what your character looks like.

Player weapon power: *This is a super power attached to your weapon, you only get one power, no power absorbing powers*
Player Power:*This is a power attached to the player, you only get one power, no power absorbing powers, power nullifying powers..sure!*

The rules
These are important as they don't exactly follow the rules of role playing as you know them.

No double posting!

There have to be 2 posts between your post and your next post.*Give everyone a chance. And stops the game from moving too quickly.*

Don't get upset when someone controls your character in their post, you are allowed to do that to make your post good, remember it's about having fun and having complete writing freedom.

Kill posts(Or fragging posts) are only allowed on a player's third tag

If by any chance you run out of Attacking posts then, that's it. You are not dead but you are incapable of posting until the game ends, there is a way to avert this but you'll learn it later on.

Tagging posts inflict some form of damage or impact, but do NOT kill. (Ie you injure the character you are attacking but never kill them)

Killing posts kill a character opening them to a respawn.

Characters respawn automatically, either on their own or by A GM or my CO-GM if its taking too long.

Attacked once Lose a tag

Attacked twice Lose a tag

Attacked the third time, Lose Tag and Frag(Life).



Very important rule - Have fun.

Additonal Rules I have thought up since the last Deathmatch

If you do not post in ten days of your last post you will lose a frag. If fifteen days pass without a post you will instantly die and the last player to attack your character will gain your attacks.

Pther players are allowed to join in once the game starts but you will gain an equal number of attacks/tags/frags as the player with the lowest Tags/Frags.

How it All Works.

There are exactly three statistics you have to worry about.

Attacks
It's all really simple. This is the total sum of the number of time you are allowed to post there by attacking or fragging an opponent.

Tags
There are only so many times you are allowed to be hit before you die. This hits are called Tags. When you are attacked you lose a tag. When you lose a specific number of tags you are killed, or fragged but when your tags run out your total health runs out too, which means you are dead.

Frags
There are so many lives a person has before they die. When you lose a certain number of Tags you run out of health and die. When you die you are fragged.
When you are fragged you character suffers a temporary computor game type death and is respawned.

You can only be fragged so many times before you run out and you die.

In the previous game Each player had 62/09/03
62 Attacks
09 Tags
03 Frags(Or lives if you want to look at it like that)

If you run out of attacks you run out of posts.
If you run out of Tags, you die.
If you run out of Frags, you die.

Certain moves will make you a target while other moves will keep you under the rader, very much like suvivor if your think about it. Merry somehoww managed to stay under the radar. It would be stunning of she could do it again. And no one likes a tiny post, even in this game xD

This is how this battle rolls but still this is not enough people. But a good number to justify a
12/09/03 system instead of the 12/08/04 system(Which would have been two tags to a kill instead of three)

Yes you can.
I forgot what I called them before lets just call them non attacking posts.
you can have unlimited non attacking posts
But before you can a attack twice you have to make sure there are at least two attacking posts between your last asttacking post.
In fact everyone's first post will bee an attackign post so we know where your character is on the map.

Think of that post as spawning in a Quake or COD Deathmath

I'm assuming that if everyone opens with an attacking post, then the initial tags can be directed against anyone rather than just those who have already posted to spawn in? Otherwise the first couple of posters will be disproportionately picked on because those who come after will have fewer targets to choose between.

Does location on the map in any way restrict who you are allowed to attack or be attacked by, or is it just to keep people's posts consistent with each other?

I'm thinking about this too much aren't I... :P

Hmm. . . This catches my interest. . Hopefully I understand everything correctly. Lets see here, is a Tag like an auto-hit or does the opponent have the choice of dodging? Also, is it allowed if a chara stands by and watches, attacking when there's a chance?

Dagger x1 - A simple dagger, as you see it in the pic.
Throwing knives x5 - Your typical throwing knives, only cooler.
Mini-bombs x10 - Their blast radius is rather small, about as big as a large beach ball. Its blast power is the equivalent to a sledger hammer in full swing, and it sends shrapnel from its metal casing flying. It's entire lethal unless the opponents head or chest is seriously inches away from the mini-bomb as it explodes.
Smoke bombs x5 - Puffs out a rather large cloud of smoke, lasting for only a few minutes at most.

Weapon power: Once the throwing knives gets even the smallest drop of blood from its target, once thrown in any direction, it will go back to its target. They only home in on their target. They can be blocked and once their on the ground, they're harmless until someone picks it up and throws it again.

You do not attack in the first post. You simply spawn!
It's like you land and set your character's backgrounds and move forwards.

No, technically it does not restrict you but it does effect your post in a big way.
You can attack anyone but you have to move your character to the location of the intented character.

If the character you want to attack is on the roof, you can't move their character off the roof. You have to get up to the roof and confront their character there.

Intro Post! Fear MY AWESOME!

Plasma fire rained down upon the SS Hell Fire offering little room for the ship to manoeuvre let alone land. Its three escorts had already been blown apart by large flying insect creatures which could jam themselves into the ships thrusters, creating an explosive chemical reaction. So far the ship had survived, but its time was running out as more and more ships were destroyed around it.

Clad in heavy armour, four hundred and forty five nervous grunts clung onto their seats hoping against hope for the opportunity to touch ground and just maybe survive the onslaught which awaited them even if they did survive the landing. It appeared clear that they would not receive such luck when a massive turquoise ball of hot plasma covered the ships screen, both pilots screamed. The door opened behind them and a dark skinned man with no armour reached his finger out, pointing at the plasma bomb. The finger twitched left and the bomb followed melding into a swarm of bugs vaporising them. The man with no armour turned without a word and returned to his seat with his fellow soldiers.

Gunnery Sargent, Heather Riise, turned her head in bewilderment. “Who was that?”
The ship shook under a heavy impact “Does it matter Sargent!” The copilot yelled clutching his controls and pulling back hard. The Sargent woke up from her trance like state and took control once again, a landing opportunity had been opened and she would be damned if she would lose it.

The ship landed in the Heart of the Omega 6 compound. An important location as it was potentially near one of the enemy Brains. It was unfortunately also being over run. The soldier marched out with little need to be told, all relieved to be off the death trap the top brass called a ship.

The compound's very walls were being over run, the spider like arachnids were tearing at the walls, climbing over the bodies of the dead to try gain height to breach, unfortunately, it was working. They were almost two thirds of the way up and only moments of the way from breaching.

The Blue Afro calmly walked his way up the ramps leading to the potential breach. He was dressed in his pristine white Gi and had nothing more than his long thin edged Katana to protect him. The Sargent climbed out, rifle in her hand, and stared as the Blue afro moved, her heart skipped a beat, her breath became heavy and she bit her lip. He was a rock star, he was epic and awesome rolled into a big ball of win.

The Blue Afro climbed up to the wall'sramparts just as the first arachnid cross over cleaving a trooper in half. For the first time his sword saw sunlight, shining a light into the Sargent’s eyes as she stared. There was a flash and the Arachnid was cleaved in two, followed by the two behind it. The Blue Afro jumped over the edge and dissapeared.

On the other side the Blue afro took full stride slashing through everything in sight, pulling those which sought to run and pushed those who'd sought to fight, tearing a path though the monsters. There are was cheer from the compound as a new courage was found and they burst into the enemy’s near limitless numbers. The Blue Afro reached the heart of a massive cave where the enemy’s numbers were most concentrated

Slash!

Their numbers dropped under the purity of his awesome.

The cave was clear, one arachnid tried to run only to be pulled by the Blue Afro's ability.

Crack!
The Arachnid was gone. The battle scene was gone. He found himself one the mast of a pirate ship, slashing through the top of the mast, it cracked and threatened to drop when it fixed itself. A ship which had clearly seen better days but appeared in capable of being destroyed. He spread his feet out and dug his sword quickly into the mast to retain his balance after his slash.

You are the first chosen to fight for survival in the hall of immortals! Called a voice in the sky.

“Who are you!” The Blue Afro yelled.

A deep booming disembodied voice

“I figured that part out! What are you in maybe a little more detail please!” He yelled at, he wasn't sure what he was yelling at.

It doesn't matter the first of your opponents arrives! Kill or be Killed! Its up to you...you...you...you

The only thing you're achieving is giving the rest of us gods a migraine. Now move on to the next....

The Blue Afro couldn't hear the rest the voice had faded softly in the breeze leaving him alone on the mast, There was little he could see, a heavy fog had covered the area. Slowly The Blue Afro began to slide down. He didn't have time for this. The war needed his awesome and he was determined to give it, even if it meant doing what he was told to do by these 'gods'.

That's the trick about this Role play! ^_^ That's why I remind people that it is different from regular Role Playing rules.

In regular role play playing rules, you are absolutely not allowed to control another person's character. Absolutely not allowed to.

In this game. Your evey single attacking post will have you controlling a role play character inn some form or faction.
Wether like in the last example you could kick the character to the ground in a non lethal tagging post. Or kick the character off of the roof in a lethal fragging (kiling) post.

This is it!!

This is my big game. This is a posting game where you kill everyone until there is only one man standing.

This is the first real attacking post. The intro posts of every member(Except Hatless) had been sent. And now the intro posts are finished. Every post from this single post onwards is potentially an attacking post. (You are allowed none attacking posts but the attacking posts are what matter)

Posting Rules(Revisted)
One attack per post.
Your only attack one person.
Leave a gap of 2 attacking posts before your next attacking post.
You are allowed to godmod the shit out of any character but be cool about it. Don't make up too much shit and Don't be too over powering. Think about it, you Don't want to piss off everyone with your posting or every attacking post will be aimed at you.
So people can keep track of how many tags till your next frag, at the end of your post please leave, centred, your status(Attacks/Tags/Frags).
I and my co Gm will regularly post will regularly post the groups over all stats so you Don't have to keep going back to the start.
NB New comers, MUST, MUST!! Post a CS in the OOC and then wait for approval which is generally a technicality, and be given their status which will met those of the person with the lowest stats. If a character is Game over no new character may enter.
Pictures and props may be thrown at excellent player achievements pay them no heed, they are just for fun and will only really count once the game is over.

These are the game stats There are seven of us which means we each get 63 attacks, nine tags and three frags. Only worry about the number of attacks you have much later in the game....(When they start running out.) not in the beginning.

The Blue Afro stared down at the world below as he slowly starting dropping down to The deck of the Black Pearl, his sword stabbing into the mast and letting him slide side ways instead of simply falling. There was something strange about world around him, everything outside the dock and the two ships was a blur. He was looking but couldn't identify anything. It was as though he were staring into a dream. Closer, on his right side he saw a glimmer of light, the light of a Katana blade such as his one, though not as long. Impressed, he kicked off the mast using his pushing powers for lift. He managed to gain height and speed with the move and flew straight for his fellow Katana wielder becoming a blur in the night.

The plan was simple, blow right through and cut right through the man's chest splitting his heart in two before his enemy had the chance to react. His blade could cut through anything, something as weak as a human rib cage would be child's play. It would be as honourable a death as any man could receive in this, place. To the Blue Afro's surprise the man turned quickly, just as the Blue Afro was about to strike, raising his sword to block.

Both weapons clashed and the other samurai took two steps back, the Blue afro jumped back on his heels and stabbed his sword into the mouldy pier boards cutting right through them. The impact was heavy, if it wasn't for his improved weapon grip his fingers would have been numb. His opponent on the other hand seems just as unphazed, which was unfortunate. A weak opponent would have fallen. He would not have regained his stance. “The call me the Blue Afro” He said, his voice love and rough. The Blue Afro stared at his opponent for a moment, then bowed.

His opponent did the same, that was when the Blue Afro struck jumping up high and dropping his sword down as though it were a sledge hammer being dropped on a watermelon.

Chink!

His opponent’s sword didn't break. This was a first, his sword broke through everything. He'd never seen anything like this before.

The Blue Afro grinned tightening his Gi so he could move quicker. He'd never had to do it before today, which was sayign something.

Bouncing on his heels he attacked swinging fast with his weapon, using both hands as though powering up for one powerful swing, matching his last two. His opponent blocked smashing his sword against the Blue Afro's to match the expected impact, but did not get the expected impact as the Blue Afro pulled back early, twisting his body and dropping a spinning kick into his opponent’s skull, smashing his heel against his opponent’s ear, knocking him backwards and dropping him into the water.

The Blue Afro made to pull him out of the water but a noise outside of the burning timbers and the odd blast of cannon fire drew his attention. He swore, tightening his Gi further. If his opponents were as strong as this opponent, he'd have to fight hard and keep to the shadows to stay alive, he couldn't waste time focusing on one opponent the whole way through, any single minded thinking such as the would get him killed. There'd be none of that if he could help it. He swore and broke into a run heading for the broken mast of the Buccaneer and dropping down onto the Burning Deck. The flames looked good, he could handle fire easily, there were good places to hide in fire. He tightened his gi a little more and checked his hair one more time before looking for his next attacking opportunity.

I'd like to think its pretty clear who I used my attacking post on and its pretty clear that this is a attacking post.
Notice how I didn't kill phoenix's character, its only a tagging post, but did attack and do damage, just nothing fatal.
Notice I used phoenix's character completely, but I didn't go crazy like make him/her bow to me or speak. I used what I needed to make a good post.
Obviously if Phoenix wants to add to this scene he can either add it to his attacking post or make a separate nonattacking post.
He can either chance after my character and tag me back or he can look for another character and tag him.
Alternatively other characters can attack his characters or attack mine(attack anyone), if 2 attacks posts go by posts go past I can attack someone else or I can attack him again.

But a simple tagging post has very limited meta gaming power. You can only harm. You cannot be killed and you can not kill.

When on opponent is on their third Tag and you are allowed to attack, you will be able to kill the crap out of that one opponent in any fucked up way you want,

The Afro shut his eyes and focused and the battles all around. He heard the female vampire cry out after being struck and he extended his hand. He focused his power relying on an old technique his father and japanse master had taught him. He took a heavy breath.
"Shingetense!"
This was his almighty pull attack, his best.

The female vampire was pulled backwards. she burst through the Black Pearl and past the pier right through the side of the ship. There was enough time for her to turn once before his glowing sword swung, dissapearing from the sheer speed it used.
his arms became a blur, the glow of hisweapon turned the firery room blue with its constanlty moving light.

I'm just trying to add a bit of see-saw to the fight, and to make sure that I'm showing respect for other characters' abilities. Basically I'm trying to just write cool fight scenes, with tags a kind of secondary detail.

That would be the same as if there were two people left, each down to one tag a piece. Person A preforms killing blow. Person B... counter attack? It wont work in this rp. Out of universe, I was looking for something that could possibly match Phoenix's head-cut-heart-rip double whammy for the Most "Holy Shit"-Inducing Kill Award.

Went to an awesome restaurant, the dance was alright (I think there were way to many school administrators there but...), and afterwards we got ice cream and I performed the classic ice cream drop right onto the pavement to the amusement of my friends and a few other customers. @Dark_potato: um sorry to be picky and such but several references to Keravnos were wrong.

1) Keravnos was in the passenger cabin when the time reversal happened. She had already crawled through the cockpit with no intention of going back though.

2) Keravnos was luring people in with the innocent, scared high school student. She wouldn't openly attack you before tricking you into thinking she was a student.

3) Keravnos does not have brown hair at all she did change her appearance but not that much. She still has her own eyes, most of her very curly hair (though it is shorter and clipped back around her face), and all that changed was her height and facial structure.

Sooooooo......yeah sorry I'm gonna have to say that post was basically scrapped. Sorry. Unless you van save it then by all means! Just try to read very closely next time please. :)

Yeah the time warp thing was on my mind, but I though it would give your character credit to say that she got Huntsman the first time 'round, rather than saying that he dodged because he was simply that good. I'm afraid that I'm going to make him that good, lacking the time warp.

As for her appearance I was just going off the picture you posted. You didn't mention which facial features she kept so I assumed with good reason that she had completely shifted shapes.

As for the luring people in thing, I can work that into the post. It will decimate the awesome battle introduction, and I will never be able to use it again, but that would be less embarrassing -hides-

I didn't think it was appropriate for Huntsman to run past Seras and Shrk'Jaar without them having a bit of a go at each other, so I added a bit of non-score-relevant fighting. It would be boring if tags were the only hits characters received, since there's plenty of scope for minor wounds that don't affect the character's combat ability.

Not in Alice's post no. But references in DP's post to Huntsman keeping "his back pressed to the side of the plane", accidentally discharging his shotgun into the plane's "flank" and running "around the back of the plane" before dashing into the cargo hold all indicate that this is taking place outside. DP has applied a small amount of godmodding (which is allowed in this RP) to bring Keravnos to him, and since it's a very well-written scene I don't have any particular problem with it.

Its perfectly fine DP Azazeal will just need to adjust his post so that perhaps and Seras went to investigate what the huntsman was fleeing from and perhaps Shrk'Jaar's first attack punched through both cabin floor and the bottom of the hold landing them on the blacktop. That would set everything up just right for both posts to work perfectly (although I resent the all too soon from my recent recovery frag -_- , may Keravnos destroy you quickly for if not good luck) and set everything back into motion correctly.....and further piss off the already quite ticked off Keravnos.....gods help your poor souls.
