Characters Sheets
Name: Include any nicknames as you wish
Age: Self explanatory, yes?
Occupation: What do they do for a living?
Appearance: Detailed descriptions are required. If you feel the need to utilize a photo put it in a spoiler so that those who would rather go on descriptions alone have the option of not having to see the image.

Personality: What is your char like? What makes them tick or sets them off? Give a basic insight to their personality, that is all we ask.
Magical/psyche/powers if applicable: Keep in mind that every power must also have a consequence. All powers must be approved by the gm’s and remain hidden when you post your actual char sheets, until the powers become visible in the story. (see rule fourteen) A second power will be allowed but that power will not come into play in the beginning of the story. As will the first power evolve, so will the second but at a later date and time. Be aware that although you apply for a second power, your char may not receive that power or they may lose that power all dependent upon the gm’s discretion. In plain words, things can and will happen.
List of types of energy possible
Earth:
revolves around manipulation of Nature and the body, plants and the earth. (possible ideas: attack with earthquake, make plants grow and attack with them, blast rock and attack with the shards, enchant physical power, enchant speed... so on....)
Wind:
based on the powers of wind, lightning, and the mind (Possible powers: Read mind, channel the emotions of others, move things by the mind/wind force, minor levitate, minor zapping or channel energy.
Water:
Concerns the control of water, ice, and healing. (Possible attacks: freeze things, the power to seal yourself emotionally, breath a bit longer underwater, heal... so on...)
Fire:
Revolves around control of fire, heat, light and lava. (suggestion: Blind others with strong light, vanish within light source, heat your body and therefore not suffer from cold, channel fire if it is around you, heat things... so on).
Brief Bio: You may provide a brief bio/history about their past, but keep in mind that over the course of time the bios will really not be pertinent. Your char will evolve and progress throughout the course of the rp. Their personality may change throughout the course of the rp also.
Everyone submitting sheets please remember that your character will have no current knowledge of their power (if you are submitting a power) and it will slowly awaken as things start becoming revealed so please factor that into your char sheets and remember for each power you wish to have, there has to be a downside to that power, a drawback of some sort.

Rules, Penalties, Requirements, and Expectations.
All RPA rules and regulations apply
These rules are not cast in stone; they can and will be modified if the need arises or for unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
1. As always, NO god mod.
2. GM’s word is law.
3. No railroading (acting like a GM to drive the RP in the direction you want)
4. No powerplaying (your character knowing things that have been discussed in OOC)
5. No more than two characters a player (one hero, one villain)
6. Don’t waste other people’s time. If you can’t commit to posting at least once post per week, then please do NOT sign up as this is not fair to the other writers that are involved. If you have signed up and find that it will be necessary to be away for more than that time period then PLEASE notify the GM's so the story can be written in a fashion as to be able to continue without your characters immediate interaction. This is very important to the structure of the RP experience. If you do not comply with these rules, your character will be taken over as needed for the rp.
HOWEVER, NO SPEED POSTING WILL BE TOLERATED.
If you wish to interact with another persons character, you can do so in a co-post, and that would be fine. Just remember, only one person can post the co-post, and not the same person posting two different co-posts.
*SPECIAL NOTE:
Clarification: If someone wants to join but can't always make the one post a week that will be considered acceptable, but only as long as they communicate to us when they wont be able to post and allow us to move their char if needed in order to keep the story moving.
7. YES, for the sake of a decent story presentation please use proper spelling and grammar. This does not mean that the use of “slang, hillbilly, or country type talk” is frowned upon, it simply means please don’t present your writing capabilities to be that of an illiterate level.
8. Three paragraph minimum per post at least. Try to give the next person something to work with; it makes the story easier to write for all.
9. While your character doesn’t have to be “nice” in IC, You DO, however, have to be tolerant, play nice, and be patient of others in OOC. Real life happens, and at times people have to be away. Give everyone time to post, or else write around them. Rudeness will not be tolerated, no exceptions.
10. We understand that it is not always possible to post going by the previous poster above you, but read what all has happened since your last post. Keep up to date on the story, and keep the story up to date!!
11. Although it shouldn’t bear needing repeated, all MATURE Rules apply. If you are uncertain to as if a scene is too inappropriate for what the gms or RPA will allow, just ask.
12. Submit a character profile using the provided template. Detailed descriptions are appreciated and necessary. Pictures are NOT required. Imagination takes precedence here, not photos. Images MUST BE SPOILERED.
13. Please use standard font color for posting both in ooc and IC. Other colors are hard to read. The only time colored font is allowed is if you are using it to quote another person, and then keep it a color that will be easy to read. Do put your chars current location and time at the top of your post.
14. You MUST pm your char sheet to the gms before posting. Only so many applications will be accepted for normal people, others, and good guys bad guys etc. Your chars powers may not be posted when actually posting the sheet in the ooc after approval.
15. Things can and will happen to your chars in this rp. Accept that it can happen before you join, as there will be no arguing when and if something happens to your char in the development of the story. The gm’s will be guiding this game to some degree although we are hoping to allow as much freedom in developing the story as we can to the players and all ideas are accepted. Again, gm’s have final say.
16. No one will be all powerful and everyone’s character that has a power must have some negative effect or drawback to it.
17. IMPORTANT! I’m sure that we’ve forgotten something so the following rule will be set in place: Other rules can and will be added and or modified when and if the need arises.
18. MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE FUN WITH THIS!!!
Expectations.
Use common courtesy, nothing less will be tolerated.
Use spell checker. We are NOT illiterate here. We all screw up and that is acceptable. Sloppy posting is not.[FONT=Verdana]

You are expected to follow along in the story and keep the story progressing forward or at least reply to those who have directly addressed your character in it.
In order to help keep track of who is where since we will not all be at the same place at the same time, please provide the following at the beginning of each of your posts. (see rule 13)
Location: (where is your char)
Day /Time : ( Monday, Tuesday, etc. morning, noon, night. Everyone needs to stay within the same day.)
The immediate neighboring towns where your char may work if not in Kingport are Kendey and Lousiville. We are creating our own mini world here inside of Maine and more towns will be added in the future.
A brief synopsis of the story:
The Past:
Two warring Kingdoms, driven for dominance over their lands, fight to the bitter end. One king, knowing that his kingdom was going to lose, went to the order of magic, an ancient cult that had been helping him protect the kingdom.
Pleading with them, he asked for his kingdom to be put to rest, and his people sent into the future, where they could hopefully live on, free of fighting and strife. The sorcerer’s, feeling the plight of the king, agreed to help him, and began preparing a powerful spell to send the people of the kingdom into the future.
The other kingdom, catching wind of this, went to intercept bringing their sorcerer’s with them to try and break the spell, hoping to kill the kingdom in one fell strike. Though they had started, they were unable to completely stop the spell, but were able to alter it. The memories of the people of the kingdom were altered, to make them forget their past and to be replaced by one from the current world. The Other kingdoms army was eradicated in the blast, and the Kingdom left standing in rubble. Though they cheered, the other king remained unsatisfied, sitting upon his throne and angered by the victory taken away from him.
The evil king, King Lesh, went to his mages, and proclaimed to them to remake the spell, so that he may send his own men to the same future to kill the people of the kingdom, so that he may wipe out the remains of his enemy once and for all.
Flash forward to the present:
Enter the present day, Kingport Cove, Maine. If your char is from the present and has “Powers “they will be a direct descendant of someone from the kingdom. If your char is normal they will not be ancestors, they will be normal ordinary every day people.
A chain of events will occur that will begin to clue the townsfolk in that something is amiss. As long lying dormant powers begin to come to light, everything the people of Kingport Cove, Maine have ever thought they have known to be truth will be changed during the “awakening.”

At the very least, I can copy and paste Duke's character sheet from the last thread to make him more official (he was already approved a while ago, he just needs his place in the character list XD).
Name: Duke Grenier
Age: 33
Occupation: Duke is a squatter and has no official occupation, but he does a whole lot of side-work that often involves the peddling of drugs. His primary “employer” at the moment is a man named Paul McKale, but Duke usually goes through a bunch of other people too. Once upon a time, Duke used to be a dentist.
Appearance: Sunken green eyes, dirty blonde hair cut choppily short, and a pasty pale complexion, Duke could hardly be called even a shadow of his younger days. If he weren’t so degenerated, he might look half normal, but his eyes have always been strangely large.
Personality: Duke is a fickle character with a personality that constantly ebbs and flows. Duke’s become consistently more erratic over the years and is prone to making sudden, illogical choices. He can stand very few people, and even the people he likes he often cannot stand (Bao included). He’s addicted to any drug he can get his hands on, but heroine is his brand of choice. He used to write poetry in his spare time, but has long since abandoned it.
Brief Bio: Duke Grenier used to be a dentist, and a pretty bad one at that. He was married to a woman named Addie, but was not able to bear a child. Though he was not very good at his job, he reigned in a reasonable amount of income that was more than enough to support his wife. They both had terrible spending habits, though, Duke especially. He was determined to look and feel rich, to prove his family wrong for a few poorly-chosen words said in the past, and to also satisfy Addie’s need to have the perfect “white-picket-fence” life. The two slowly drove themselves into debt, and eventually the two had a divorce. Duke lost the house and was put on the street. Later, his malpractice caught up to him as well and he lost his job. He lived out of his car for a while before he was forced to sell it for food.
Duke made his way from homeless shelter to homeless shelter. He hated hanging around squatters and the like, but often had no choice. Eventually he met Paul McKale, along with a few others in his inner circle, and began vaguely doing business with him. Unrelated, he also met Bao Kenton, a girl with an even larger circle of friends, or at least acquaintances. The more the two saw one another, the more they enjoyed one another’s company, and eventually became close yet dysfunctional friends.

@Joe Kerr, if you have not indicated if you are going to continue in chapter two by the end of this week you will be removed from the cast of characters.
Anyone else who is listed and is having a hard time finding time to post please let us know asap so that we can move your char to the inactive list for now but find a way to incorporate your chars until you can return. I know that school is keeping everyone fairly busy, and we want to work with you to keep you in this instead of losing you.

In act one we became aware of something we didn't understand, in act two we will come to understand and even utilize them, to some degree, and in act three, we go all out! Su Lin senses what Crow is doing and leaps through the diner walls before he can steal Jackie's soul. She kicks Crow's arse every way but left as Crow yelps out realizing she is too much for his plans. Crow opens a time portal and runs away. The crowd goes wild as Su Lin saved everyone and Chapter three is no longer needed. A statue is built in Su Lin's honor as she becomes the first Female President of the United States then the World. The End.
Wait, I posted this in the wrong section, let be hurry and post in the IC ... lol.
Seriously though, have my IC up, no need to ask, anyone can help Gail and move Su Lin aside and such. (thought the healers would want something to do :D)

This is my other character. He'll die at some point.
Name: Alexander Garreth
Age: 30
Occupation: Wizard
Appearance:Blonde hair down to his shoulders, blue eyes, fair, peach skin, about 6'1", and a medium-large build with broad shoulders.
Personality: He very calm most of the time, hard to anger, but his temper is fiery once set off. He is very passionate and once he has his sights set on something, he will not likely quit until he has it.
Magical/psyche/powers: He can manipulate time in a given area, making his targets move really slow or himself move really fast, and he can manipulate gravity, enabling himself or others to jump really high and fall slowly.
Bio: He is a prince from the old world who has come into the present to help battle Crow and his minions and to also reunite with his love, Rosaline.

Appearance:
Lukah has the emotional competency of a rock; apart from his grave face and his habit of drawing his lips thin, his face is a blank canvas.
With nothing else to work with but his swampy-green eyes, thick jaw bone, and black stubble that has never had a clean shave, he's considered quite a looker in the lesser area of his town.
Any infatuation, however, is highly disappointing, because getting him to stop for a chat would be troublesome enough, without his cynical, smart-ass attitude. He keeps to himself, even amongst his coworkers, but despite his self-righteous attitude around woman, he's not bothersome with his work and prefers to do so alone.
On the other hand, his isolation from others, strenuous work days, and lack of effort have given him close to no opportunity to recognize said attraction. He had a wife once, nearly eight years back, but even with her gone, he was still nearly as distant as a married man could be.

Personality:
Lukah surely wouldn't be himself without his secrets, or even the feel he gives off, the amused looks when certain topics are discussed, that silently deems him above everyone else, already knowing more about the situation or its outcome.
He's excelled at managing to piss people off, even get in a fit or two with them, without speaking a word. This normally happens when he holds the slightest of emotion- an all-knowing smile, a small sneer, even raising his eyebrows in interest. He's reflected so little emotion over the years, that even the twitch of his brow is more powerful than any words he could speak.
But despite his smugness and attitude, he's not difficult to work with and his quietness can even be considered an advantage, depending on the situation that he's in. He's got good intention, if not a bit selfish, but he has an overpowering rationality that he abides by, at all times.
Brief Bio:
Lukah grew up in what was considered "middle class" for their town. He was neither rich nor poor for their conditions, although they cooperated being hungry, much more than they did with being full. However, they never had the risk of starvation and with a limited food source, their metabolisms learned to adapt to what they were given.
He was stationed to a mining troop shortly after puberty hit and had managed to work in silence, ever since. His neighbors were quite friendly to him and it didn't take long for him to marry their eldest daughter, who in return was a year older than the seventeen year old boy.
They never had children and after two years of marriage their town was invaded, so Lukah hastily recruited to defend their land. Eight months later they managed to fight the men off, driving them a safe distance away from their home. He returned to find that many of the women had been captured, the men killed on the spot.
He later found a clue in their house that tipped him the idea that they had managed to escape, but in fear of the hopeless quest, he never saw through with it.

Imposter! It was great! It led right into Ryan's powers which is what we are hoping for. Everyone is now supposed to be realizing that what they thought might be something really is something. While the powers may not be at their full potential yet, they need to be recognized and acknowledged throughout the course of this chapter, even utilized at times.

Twas much fun to write and I can't wait to see some of y'alls posts coming up. Have I told you each how much I enjoy having you in this rp? We have such great writers, who have come up with such great characters. Man, we are going to rock this rp off the charts!!
With a bit of luck, the three amigos (gm's ) will be having a sit down pow wow this weekend and will be working on some...surprises to keep it fresh and moving in the right direction towards chapter three.
But not too soon. Much to go on in this chapter before we hit chapter three. Our powers will begin to come into play, we will become more aware of them and possibly how to control them more going forward. Not sure when we will all be aware we are from the past yet, but that will come in time too.

Everyone, the posts here are so spectacular and each of you is helping to build this and direct it into the direction we were hoping that it would take. It is our goal to get everyone interacting with each other on a solid level, and also, to drive the story to where it needs to be for chapter three.
Wattz, Stryker, and Imposter, we want to work towards incorporating your chars more into the story line and Keep and Kris have some ideas on this. They may have already contacted you or one of us will be contacting you on just how we are going to accomplish that.
We will be introducing Wes's son Ryan into more and more dreams. Imposter has given us permission to utilize him as NPC (if that is incorrect, Imposter, please let me know). With this round, please feel free to utilize him in dreamscapes. These could be night dreams, or even day dreams. I believe, the intent is in the beginning for Ryan to begin showing up in dreams and then that will be developed further and utilized as our needs may arise. These dreams will start as the others did, with Ryan implanting himself in other peoples dreams. You may recognize him as Wes's son if you've ever had reason to see Wes's son and wonder how he even got into your dream, or why.
If you are not certain on what to post in this round, a dream is probably the best way to go. If anyone is struggling to fit their chars into this in any way shape of form, please let the gm's know! Like I say, we have plans to make sure that everyone's char is involved and stays active in this.
Also, Storm, Kris will be contacting you regarding something that will possibly involve Su-Lin and all of the other women who were in the diner at the time of the explosion, and Bao will be included in that but only if she chooses to be.
I'm not sure if I've forgotten anything else yet, but we will discuss things further as we go.
Also, Maria won't be with us since he has new adventures to make in his life and we wish him well and leave the doors open for him to return any time he wishes, should time allow him too.

Was thinking with the recent explosion and Su Lin having several incidents, her next post might be using her connections in town to organize a self defense class at the local Rec Center. Been waiting on the self defense class to work something in ... not giving a reveal but thought might be fun ... and would not use any of her powers. GMs could also write into any of their posts that the advertisement is already out which would save on the post of Su Lin in touch with the Business leaders.

Norfolk, VA. Her flight leaves 5:45 AM Thursday. I have already told her that she should call her Command and have them extend her leave and report no later than date. I have the perfect reason she could give the Navy. We went to the Zoo Labor Day weekend and it was packed as well as temps in the upper 90s. This weekend temps will be fantastic and the Zoo is sure to be less crowded. I think that is reason to delay her deployment and delay her ships deployment.
US Naval Orders: Due to a trip to the Zoo by one of our sailors, we are delaying fleet deployment for another week.
Yea, I don't see an issue with that :D. She could just add "My Daddy said it's okay" to ensure the delay goes through without any issues. :D

Basically, everyones powers are beginning to become more noticeable to themselves, some are even sort of trying to learn to control it. Crowe is reeking havoc within the city, starting the fire and we are all in the aftermath of it, and Kris has tried to tie all of this in to Strykers char too.

I'll give Edy a day or two more to get back to me on the co, then I'll see if I can't finish it up myself or something somehow so we aren't holding the story up any longer.
I want to remind everyone of this rule:
6. Don’t waste other people’s time. If you can’t commit to posting at least one post per week, then please do NOT sign up as this is not fair to the other writers that are involved. If you have signed up and find that it will be necessary to be away for more than that time period then PLEASE notify the GM's so the story can be written in a fashion as to be able to continue without your characters immediate interaction. This is very important to the structure of the RP experience. If you do not comply with these rules, your character will be taken over as needed for the rp.
Anyone who hasn't communicated with the gm's by Wednesday as to their intentions on posting will be moved to the inactive list until further notice and your chars will be utilized as npc's if it makes sense for the story. If your active in the ooc and/or have let the gm's know what is going on, or have pm'd them you will remain on the active list.
