Lol I'm not exactly an expert but I could probably help. What kind of fight you need? 1x1 or 1xmultiple? Swords or guns? I'm not good at magic at all but I'm fairly proficient with the other two, at least I like to think so.

I'd also be willing to throw my name into the hat if you'd like.

Hello Epostle!

The first thing you'll need to do after acquainting yourself with the Battle Arena Rules (http://role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=27832) is create yourself a thread in The Barracks (http://role-player.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=231) where you can post your finished characters. This thread (http://role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=27833) will show you the rules on creating a character, and it also includes the standard form used for Battle Arena characters.

Once you have a character ready in the Barracks you can request a fight in Throwing the Gauntlet (http://role-player.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=340)!

A battle progresses in a way that is meant to prevent god-modding: the first two posts often introduce the characters to their environments. Once the two characters are introduced, then [theoretical] player A makes an open-ended attack. Then player B decides how this single attack plays out. Does it hit? Is it dodged? Does the attack graze the opponent? Player B then gets to make an open-ended attack where player A gets to choose how the attack lands if at all. The process continues for as long as the two of you agree upon. How long do you both want the fight to go on? 10 rounds? 20 rounds? etc.

Both players can decide to have the match be judged or not. Here (http://role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=27834) are directions about a distinction between the two.

If you need any more help, feel free to ask!

Good luck!

I haven't had a good spar in a while. Throw my name in as well but make sure to post in here if you'd like me to compete so I can get started on making another character. Also, if you need help with a battleground I'd be more than willing to chat up a place for it the fight to happen in.
