Gehenna, No one ever thought it would happen this way. Our apocalypse, the end of vampires, it never was thought to come to pass. But it did.

The year is 20XX, the world…ours and theirs ended, the apocalypse, Armageddon, Gehenna…The world was ravaged and no one knows why. Dark gases where released into the sky, blocking the harmful rays of the sun from our kind, we walk in the day without harm now. Vampires and humans struggle to get by in most of the world. The masquerade is over, Human’s know we exist; some blame us for their world coming to an end, some hunt us down. The few Vampires that survived must find a new way of life…some may cling to their old ideals; some know the time for change is here. Some just want to survive, and live the normal life, and some want to know why this came to pass and what our future holds for us.

Okay this is my first real role-play I’ve hosted in a long time. This RP has basis in the tabletop game Vampires: the Masquerade if you know it, well that’s good, if not it’s really fun. Soooooooooo much thanks goes to Setsa for helping me pull this off~

Some clarifying information…
Frenzying is when a vampire basically goes berserk and almost beast like, this is important because some Clan’s curses revolve around Frenzying. I will also be doing all the rolls necessary. And diablerie takes place when a vampire drinks not only all the blood of another vampire but also their soul.

The modern world isn’t kind to us, mostly…I don’t know much about the world outside the western one… (Pictures in progess.)
Chicago: or what’s left of it, Belongs to a Lasombra known as his title, The Chicago Prince. Human’s and vampires flock there due to his promises of the better life. Ravnos: Each Ravnos has a specific vice ranging from plagiarism to mass murder. When the opportunity to indulge that vice is present, Ravnos must succeed in a self-control check to avoid indulging it.
Malkavian: Every last vampire of Malkav's blood is irredeemably insane in some form or another. Some attribute this to a curse of the blood, while other Lunatics actually call it a special blessing, a gift of insight.
When a Malkavian character is created, the player must choose at least one derangement for that character at the time of the Embrace; this derangement can be temporarily fought with Willpower, but can never be permanently overcome. They are also pranksters, with their "jokes" ranging from benign to sadistic
Ventrue: They have exacting and rarefied tastes, even when it comes to blood. The player must pick a restriction on the type of blood their character can feed upon, e.g. only young men, no animals, etc. A Ventrue will feed on no other type of blood, not even if (s)he is starving or under duress.


Brujah are more easily frenzied
Nosferatu are absolutely loathsome to look at
Toreador: Although lovely and seductive, the members of this clan are as much prisoners of their artistic vision and sensitivity as they are its beneficiaries. They are often overcome by the beauty they see around them, and become immobilized with fascination. Such things as paintings, neon signs, or even sunrises can captivate them.
Lasombra vampires cast no reflections. They cannot be seen in mirrors, bodies of water, reflective windows, polished metals, photographs and security cameras, etc. This curious anomaly even extends to the clothes they wear and objects they carry.
Tzimisce: Whenever a Tzimisce sleeps, they must surround themselves with at least two handfuls of Earth from a place important to them as a mortal.
Assamites grow darker with age. They suffer from an addiction to vampire vitae and an aura stained by diablerie. Even if they have never actually engaged in diablerie, their aura shows their blood lust clearly.
Followers of Set are weaker in bright lights (spotlights, strobes, etc.).
Gangrel are very close to the Beast within; as they succumb to it, it leaves its mark on their bodies. Every time a Gangrel frenzies, they gain an animalistic feature.
Giovanni: When a Giovanni bites a living being, they deal more damage than normal making it difficult to keep people alive after feeding from them.

History: Alex was born into the Giovanni family, she officially died when Gehenna happened, but because she was born embraced her life as a Vampire started that day. After she died and started living the real life of a vampire, she’s been living more like the Woman she was born as, a Giovanni, loyal only to herself, her family and her bloodline. Being a necromancer and all was fun in the first few years after Gehenna happened, but she grew bored of the New Orleans life and with two friends/sisters, she moved out of the city and went exploring, she ended up in New York City and was almost sacrificed to the Cathedral of Flesh, her friends/sisters where not so lucky. After that she saw that her life wasn’t the way she was brought up to believe it was. Now she lives to find a way to make peace between a new generation and the new age of Vampires.

History: Lucian can not remember much of his past. Though the things he does remember are that he was forced into being the thing he is now and that his wife and children, when he was alive, was brutally killed and sucked dry in front of him. Then they turned him and abandon him. As he turned he wandered everywhere around the world, never finding a real place to call home and hating his own existence, he became bitter and withdrawn killing any vampires he could find. Though after the years slowly ticked by his anger subsided and was replace by emptiness. He now wanders this forsaken world with out a care for him self or others and doing odd jobs for his clan.

Personality: Smoke is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. He loves the hunt but only with a worthy prey. Loves discord and randomness. History: Smoke knows nothing of his past life nor who embraced. The first thing that he remembers is waking up in the dead of night with the biggest hunger and blood lust he had ever felt. That night he ravaged a local man killing him with uninhabited ferocity. The next two years saw him travelling across England searching for answers about his condition. This finally led him to a elder Gangrel in the heights of the Scottish mountains. This old one led him in the ways that his sire should have lead him. He taught him the history, culture and the control of his new ability's. Finally after three years the old Gangrel took him to the gathering at the base of the mountain. There he was challenged by one other young Gangrel who hated City Gangrels and what they represented. The fight was quite quick as the other vampire did not expect the speed with which Smoke moved nor the skill with which he wielded hes Protean ability's. So in only five minutes Smoke had defeated the other young Gangrel. After this Smoke left the area disappearing for a few years some say he fought in the Crimian Wars at that time but no one knows for sure. A record of him comes back in London 1888 where he met Jack the Ripper a particularly scary, crazy and hugely intelligent Malakavian who turned out to be actually a woman. A brief romance followed which might have lasted longer had not Jaquelin (for that was her true name) tried to kill Smoke like she had so many others. Because of this Smoke escaped the city and left for America because he really did not want to kill her (nor was he so certain that he could even if he tried). This meeting also started Smokes love of the hunt which has stayed with him ever since. After this Smoke traversed America and while conversing with certain other Gangrel found his true beast form which is a white mountain lion. After that records disappear of Smoke until very recently when he has returned from his travels across of the world.

History: all she can remember as an mortal if they still call it that these days. Is trekking through the amazon rainforests with a select few others to an archeology temple site. When she had awakened with a much more heightened sense of everything around her, the elder of that particular clan took her under her wing to teach their ways as well as how to most importantly master her Protean for her own survival. Living with the clan she proved very valuable with her knowledge of past civilizations in protecting their culture and lore. Alas with the constant threat of humans moving in on their jungle town more and more of her tribal clan as they called it. Fell further into the curse after frenzying humans to keep their borders protected. With mastering her protean, restricted to change into just a large, black, leopard. Leani received word one day from a distant transmission about starting a new clan from scratch in the United States. This placed a rare opportunity for her, soon deciding to travel far north to a land she's never been in hopes of this...girls attempts seen victorious.

History: Issy was born August 27, 1850 to a wealthy doctor and his young bride in Victorian era London, England. However, Issy wasn’t like the other young girls. She was often found steeling young boys clothes dressing in them and joining in on the fighting matches. At the age of 18 she had developed into intelligent young woman, unwilling to accept the limitations for women of her era. After she had been denied a position in the British Army, she was furious. She even went as far as attacking on of the soldiers breaking his arm in four different places.

Issy was crushed and looked at by society as a problem child which led to many fights, but her father was always supportive of her. Telling her that’s she was a born fighter and there was no changing what was written in blood. On December 15, 1870 everything she knew and love came to an end when she met Sebastian. She fell madly in love with him, but no matter how close they got she couldn’t help but feel that he was hiding something from her.

One night after their late night dinner her curiosity took over and she followed him but after that everything was hazy. The next thing she remembered was waking in her large bed naked with Sebastian and covered in blood. The image should have scared her but instead of fear she felt hunger.

After that the world started to make sense. She was madly in love with Sebastian and part of a clan that loved and respected her. Sebastian and Issy were a powerful couple with him being an Warrior and her Dur-An-Ki ablity making them highly prized to the Assamites, well until Seastian was murder by a member of the Tremere clan.

Issy swore that she would find the man that killed her beloved, but a century went by and the anger she felt became more of a shield helping keep her distant from everyone, but after the Gehenna she quickly learned that the world wasn't as black and white as she tought. Since then she has had time to channel her emotions, but no matter how hard she tries to get over it revange still rest in her heart.

History: She was always very well known. She has been hopeful that someday, she'd figure out how she became a vampire. She thought she was dead for three or four days until she woke like this-prettier than she was, unbreakable, and had a strange lust.
She has had to leave her parents, hopeing they could move on. She'd been keeping tabs on them until it was 1945, when she realized they'd be dead by now. She'd realized all of her friends, family, and enemies were dead. She bought herself a fast, popular car. It was heavely tinted, in her favor. She had her favorite radio stations, and her favorite thing ever, silence. She often had her radio off. She also had liked to be alone-until the attack. She survived, her car intact.

Personality: Split.

Maiden: Flirtatious and fun loving, regards others as siblings or plants. Acts more like a care giver.

Mother: More mature and regards others as children. Acts more like a teacher.
These personalities are always contesting control and will change depending on who is around and the scene itself.

Date of Death: Unknown, though assumed to have been on August 23rd*1996*when the Wolfsblood family was brutally murdered.

Flaws: Split Personality (see above), Dark Secret (Former Camarillan), Enemy (Clan Ventrue [Cam only]).

Perks: Ambidextrous, Catlike Grace

Specialty Skills: Performance (Dance, Sing, [Any]Instrument), Melee (Daggers/Scythe), Torture.

Interests: Plants, Teaching, Nature, Torture, Having fun.

Appearance: Larissa is always wearing her black cloak - which appears as black as the abyss itself. This conceals her body from her shins up to her neck. With the hood raised it hides all but her mouth, thought some may see the soft glow from her bright, yet deep blue eyes. Brown hair flows to an unknown length into her cloak. Her skin is as white as snow and her entire body (except her face and head) are covered in a large variety of scars [Those with medical / torture knowledge will still struggle to find two scars that were made the same way / method] Underneath this cloak she wears form fitting shorts and a colorful T-shirt like someone her age would be expected to wear.

Known Powers: Protean, Potence, Presence, Vicissitude, Celerity, Fortitude, Obtenebration, Body Armory

Larissa is not overly fond of combat, generally observing and watching rather than simply going headlong in. She has no love for war - War wastes life, wasted life is wasted students, which are wasted servants for Mother.

Larissa will not ghoul anyone - this goes against the Path of Lilith as well as her own beliefs - she also has no desire to embrace anyone.

ALL of Larissa's weapons are made completely of bone.
Weapons:
Bone Scythe: 8 feet long and 3 foot long sickle. Carried on back (In plain sight)

Knives / Daggers [They are all different] - 11 are carried in various quick draw holders on her legs, hips, arms, and waist. 4 more are inside her rib cage.

While not weapons per se - There are shattered fragments of a blade inside her arms and hands - though for some reason she is unable to remove them, she can expose them and use them as claws and spikes on her hands and forearms - though is unable to move them anywhere else. These obsidian black blade fragments are sharper and stronger than her bones.
This is mostly for RP, not a true factor in combat.

Larissa loves experimenting with her Body Armory in her free time. As it allows her to literally rip and rebuild her body as she chooses, she often takes bones she finds and thinks are suitable for something later and saves them. These bones are of course used to fuel experiments that may / may not change her appearance completely.

Larissa has taught me much since kidnapping me from the remainder of our family... The fact that Vampires were real...and this Dark Mother...are so intriguing... I only wish I had more time to spend with her - we lost so many years after, well, she changed... I sit here writing this small missive for you as I await her to come back for me and claim me - Yes I'm dying, and a mortal no less. You fools will not be able to stop them now... not after this... The following is what I have managed to remember regarding your pitiful attempt to send a Werewolf to kill us ahead of your little rag tag bunch...

As Larissa was sent through a wall from a single blow from this Werewolf - What emerged was an image I will never forget... Large, sharp obsidian black claws followed by a much...larger creature emerged from the whole in the wall. What was once that small woman was now what appeared to be a Werewolf itself. This was quickly deterred as a possibility as more of that shattered blade - The blade of awakening she called it - began forcing its way through her arms and even the sides of her wrists... Moreover, her image further mutilated as the sounds of rending flesh and cracking and snapping bone filled the room... Bones began forcing there way through her body - No, she willed them to move... They covered her in razor sharp ivory spikes. Horrified, I watched the Werewolf laugh as he rushed at her - Larissa met his aggression with equal strength as her head tilted - she whispered something to the Werewolf after which I had seen something in it's eyes that I have never once seen in a Werewolf before...It was fear - No, Terror...in it's truest sense. Suddenly the room was filled with the sound of a howl and tearing flesh and snapping bone once more - Larissa's Scythe...was burrowing into it's chest with unbelievable ferocity. In awe, I glanced up only to see in horror and shock she made it into a tail - her knives must also be inside her...or apart of her spikes somewhere... As she hurled him across the room she laughed - a laugh neither human, nor Werewolf... I tell you all of this for yourselves... She is a demon...embraced by her Dark Mother....Fight her if you dare but know this... Next time - I will be with her... We shall be one after I am consumed...

Looking back now - I have no regrets. I had nothing to live for as a human... I was like a bird in a cage. Sure, my family was wealthy and I was pampered and being raised to take over the estate along with my twin sister - but I wanted freedom... Val got it at least when she was sent away to our Uncle in Italy. Eventually I ran - then they found me... Years later I would learn their real target was Val - but they did not know she was sent away - The servants of the Ivory Tower had failed in that regard (Though they do so in so many others...) I awoke as something different - I was scared at the time, especially as I was forced to slaughter the entire Wolfsblood Estate with my own hands. I could not have stopped myself even if I could have disobeyed - The beast had taken me... I learned and grew under them for a short time before being sent away to the Ivory Tower, where I would find my place serving my Clan and Bloodline - as one of the last Rook in existence, it was my "duty", or so I'm told.

My...free spirited and freedom loving self was not welcomed by the Ventrue there. They sought to house break me and force me to conform to their suit and tie only life. I would not - I will not - ever go back to that caged life. Even though the Whip understood, and tried to be more...gentle about it - the others were relentless. Being put under house arrest and then truly caged and chained - they did unforgivable things to me - Some of them now I can forgive, as Mother would be displeased should I truly not embrace it. I first heard of Mother from a close Malkavian acquaintance who saw my desire to break the chains and learn the truths of this world. Though my Clan did not know of this - I sought after Mother whenever given the chance, and in the end got rather close to the Baron of the Anarchs (I was referred to as his niece by most of the Anarchs) as well as the Jarl of the wild Gangrel (Whom also welcomed me as one of their own). They taught me much - as they both saw much potential in me. I had and still have the up most respect for them both - I became much stronger under their tutelage. Because of my ties to two factions (More specifically their leaders) my Clan could not afford to kill me. With war approaching the city, I was an asset they could not lose under any circumstances. I abused this whenever given the opportunity and as such got certain freedoms back.

On route to my Clans formal meeting - I would meet several VIP's for the first time while giving a rather important report (Though my hate for them was burning, I could not help but feel excited). I was on the phone with a good friend from the Brujah Clan driving to the meeting ahead of time when suddenly someone walked in front of my vehicle. I was going to fast to stop in time and my phone shattered against broken glass as the front end of my little neon was pushed in to the steering column. As I got out the figure smiled at me and began walking around what was left of the front end - a metal on metal scraping sound could be heard - Before I knew it I was on my back being dragged off with a meat hook in my knee - Yes I'm serious, a meat hook. I saw a familiar symbol on the back of his neck I would later have on myself, and began asking about him, about Mother... His response came swift - while telling me to shut up - with one arm - swung me face first into the roof of my neon and then the back of my head into the cement. I don't know how I managed to stay conscious, but I blacked out shortly after.

I awoke in a dark room, and was unable to move - save to look around with my head. Two IV's were in my arms feeding blood into me, though I was strapped down heavily (There was no chance of escape). There He was... observing me with that smile - After some small talk... I heard liquid dripping - Water, surely I thought. No, I could not have been farther from the truth. My stomach burned and seared as my screams filled the room. It was acid, my dear sister, and I still bear the scars today. I will not trouble you with the rest of my..."lessons" and "tests" as he called them as I remember you being rather squeamish when it comes to this sort of thing. It sounds horrible yet it was truly my salvation.

This man saved me from the cage and chains of the Ivory Tower and brought me knowledge and enlightenment. I could truly hear Mother for the first time those nights - and I wanted more. The gardens are truly beautiful sister - And you will see them in time. He knew much about our history (Vampires that is) as well as that of the Rook bloodline - much to my surprise. He also further taught me to control and use my powers, and taught me many new ones as well. I became much stronger under him - all while learning of Mother. It was not easy learning under him - He does not tolerate failure, and it is dealt with rather...well swiftly we'll say. Sister I tell you this not to encourage you to forsake humanity - I tell you this to encourage you to seek out Mother.

Weapons: Crossbow, Pair of daggers with silver edges.

History: Nykyrian was a colonial in the early 1700s. In 1734, an unknown person attacked his family, slaying all of them while he was taking a long walk with a woman. When he returned home, he found his home painted with the blood of his family, all of them torn to pieces. Torn by a need for vengeance, he sought the killer. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, he found the vampire who had killed his family.

A lover of irony, the vampire turned Nykyrian instead of killing him, and brought him, albeit unwillingly, into the clan. Over the years, Nykyrian's hatred did not abate nor fade away, instead growing stronger with more passion until he finally gained the power to kill the man who had slain his family.

Afterwards he tried to re-integrate himself into human society as best he could, fighting in the revolution and many years later the civil war, and every war America has been in since then.


Not as long as I'd like it to be, but I'll flesh out some more of his history as the RP progresses. Also, Sarnith, I know his personality is not like my other character, but I'm sure you'll find some depth that might be interesting in and of itself.

I think you misunderstood - We were asking for the Inn scene primarily since we can easily drag that out with one on one and group IC while waiting for you to get back before leaving the Inn. We didn't want to ruin the plot Sketch :s
