The girl screamed an unnatural wale as Jeredai tried to exorcise the demon with in her. "In nomine Dei et omnia bona, et expellam te creatura diaboli. Ego expellere vos," he chanted in Latin, In the name god and all that is good, I expel you, creature of Satan. I expel you. This was one of the harder exorcisms, as was such in all case where one agreed to be possessed of their own free will.

"She is mine, god serving pig!" The demon said speaking through the girl.

Jeredai showed no emotion, though the strain of the exorcism was evident in his eyes as sweat beaded off his brow. "You will not have her, you scum sucking filth from Hell. Leave her!" He yelled as he held his cross to the girl's bare chest as he splashed her with more holy water. The demon screamed along with girl, her skin bubbling as if her blood boiled. This was bad, but once he began he couldn't stop. As chanted more rites, the screams became louder until finally the spell took hold. The girl's chest exploded, blood splatter all over the room and Jeredai as well as the demon was forced from her body. It was unfortunate, but sometimes the possessed didn't survive an exorcism.

As the demon exited the body, he lunged at Jeredai, tackling him and forcing him through the second story window, Jeredai landing on his back with a painful thud with the demon on top of him. The demon then swung at him with his talon-like fingernails, but Jeredai regain his wits just in time to grab its wrist, barely able to hold the demon at bay.

Ysmay ran away from the men who chased her, and she didn't understand why they were. She just knew it was instinct to run. All she did was ask if they knew her older brothers, and soon everything turned into the worst. They all began to growl in her direction after she said their names, and said her brothers were worthless scum. Being the sister she was, she defended them with hate in her eyes. The men didn't take that well, and she began running because they jumped up to harm her.

As she ran, her breathing picked up as well as her fear. She didn't know how to defend herself, even though she's done it before. She didn't remember that night well, and it harmed her even thinking about it. She had killed two men that tried beating her, and it was fuzzy on how she even did it. All she could remember was burning lights, and the men screaming at her to stop. Ysmay began slowing down, as she started to remember that night as if it were the night before.

"Hello boys, may I ask you a few questions?" Ysmay asked, smiling ear to ear as she approached two men in black. They only nodded, and sat down at the table before them. She smiled, and sat down as well. The men stared at her intently, as if they were trying to guess what she was there to ask. One of them smirked, causing Ysmay to roll her eyes. He guessed wrong on that. The other got a confused look, and then it dawned on him what his friend was thinking.

"What is it you would like to ask darling?" the man who smirked asked, and Ysmay took a deep breath.

"Have you seen two boys around?" she asked, raising a brow.

"Yes hon, I mean there are a lot of men around here." the confused friend stated, grinning as if he won a battle or something.

"They are twenty-four, and twenty-seven." she began, and looked to see if they wanted her to continue. They nodded, so she did. "Their names are Jeremy Malic Blouet, and Anthony Trevor Blouet." she finished, and watched as their eyes widened. She tilted her head to the side in confusion, and tried to understand why they reacted in such a way.

"Who are they to you, kiddo?" they asked, and Ysmay grimaced at the pet name. She didn't do well with being called a kid, in fact she hated it more than anything in the world - well accept when someone insults her older brothers.

"They're my brothers, why is that important?" she asked, obviously annoyed by the question. That was her business, why would they need to know?

Before Ysmay could even blink the mean jumped up and began attacking her. They were bigger than her, so protecting herself was a little hard as they grabbed her. She began screaming, but it was cut off when her mouth was covered by a big hand. She tried freeing herself, but it was no use. Then came this funny feeling in her stomach, and then everything went white. All she could hear was screaming, and soon there was nothing. Everything just stopped.

Ysmay was pulled from her memory, as two pairs of arms wrapped around her. She screamed, but a hand clasped her mouth and she was cut off. She trashed around like her life depended on it - which it did, and soon her elbow meet a stomach. She spun around to see a man clutching his stomach in pain, and she took that chance to run once again.

Half an hour later she was sure she lost the men who were chasing her, and came to stop. She sighed in relief, and then heard voices coming from another direction. She slowly walked toward the noises, hoping it wasn't the men finding her again. Of course she would be stupid enough to walk toward danger, it was in her DNA as she likes to say at least.

It was the men like she thought it would be, it was a someone - or something, attacking a man. Ysmay then grabbed a board she saw laying around, and silently walked toward them.

"Get off him you insane thing!" she yelled, causing the person on top of the man to look at her. She hit them in head, and watched as it drew back slightly. She then grabbed the mans arm to try and pull him up. She looked at him, and then the other person in disbelief.

"What the hell is going on?" she asked, taking a step back from the scene.

As Jeredai fought the demon, he tried to throw him off so he could get blessed dagger out, but the thing was strong and wouldn't give an inch. But then all of a sudden, someone came up from behind it and hit it hard, knocking it off of him so he could get to his feet, his back stilling hurting from the fall as he grabbed his knife. "Watch out," he called out to the girl, standing between her and the demon. When the demon lunged at her, Jeredai placed a swift kick to its midsection, sending it reeling back but not knocking it down.

When he lunged back at the demon with his knife, the demon used its quick speed and agility to barely dodge, but when Jeredai did a backhanded swing, he caught the demon with the edge, giving it a small cut. The wound steamed as the demon waled, clutching the wound. But this just made it angrier as it lunged back at Jeredai, but he sidestepped and caught the demon around the neck from behind before slitting its throat.

The cried out in pain as it fell to the ground, its skin now smoldering and turning to ash as flames burst from the wound. With in a few minutes, the demons was nothing more than a pile of ash being swept away by the wind. As Jeredai put the knife back in its sheath, he turned to the girl who aided. "Hey, thanks for the assist, but you really should be more careful. One cut from that thing's claws and you'd be dead within hours if ya don't get the antidote." His back aching him even more now since the adrenaline wore off, he took a seat on the sidewalk. "That's a pretty strong arm you got there. What's your name?"

Ysmay watched with wide eyes as the scene unfolded before her, and she took another step back from the man. Sure she'd heard of the demon's but she never saw one so close. She always knew how to avoid meeting on; but not being in the same place for to long. She flinched as the demon waled, and closed her eyes for a second. She opened her eyes just as it turned to ash, and then watched as the ash fell to the ground. Her eyes then fluttered to the man who killed it, and she took another step back. She zoned out, and stared off into space. She'd only met a demon once, and was surly almost killed.

"That's a pretty strong arm you got there. What's your name?" she heard the man ask, and she shook the memory away by shaking her head. She stared at him, and took another step back. In the distance she heard the men from before yelling, and she stared at the man.

"My name is Ysmay, but that is not of importance. I must go." she muttered, and began to run away. She didn't want to be rude in anyway, but she couldn't help the haste. She was only strong like that if given a reason, and she herself was not a reason to harm another. She only used violence on the demon before because an innocent man was in trouble. She stopped running to face the man, and narrowed her eyes at him.

"If anyone comes to you looking for me, as far as you know I don't even exist." she said, and with that she began running again. Only she didn't realized she left the address of where she was going behind, along with the only thing important to her. A cross necklace that seemed to be more than just that, it held something that could awaken her true power if she would only realize it.

She was sorry for seeming harsh toward the demon killer, but she couldn't stick around. If she would, then she would lower her chances of ever finding her brothers. As she reached the next address on the list, and looked to realize that the paper was gone. She hissed curses under her breath, only to be interrupted by a man of sixty. He looked harmless, and she figured he couldn't harm her like the other men could.

So she did what her feet wanted, she went inside with him.

Jeredai tilted his head at the girl as she ran, then blinked when she turned around telling him not to tell anyone she existed. "Shouldn't be too hard since I don't even know your name!" he called after before watching her disappear into the night. He then shook his head, casting the girl from his mind. She helped him out, so if she wanted hide from someone, he'd do her a solid on it. As he stood up, some men came running a few moments later, asking for a girl that fit her description and showing him her picture.

As Jeredai looked at the picture, pretending to study it for a bit, he nodded slightly. "Um...Yeah, I think so actually," he said. "Wearing a cross, right?" When one of them nodded, he nodded back. "Yeah, she went down 22nd street, right there and took off down that way like the devil himself was chasing her," he said, pointing the guys in another direction from where she ran. One of the guys handed him a crisp hundred dollar bill and before running off. "Hey if ya ever need anything else let me know!" he yelled, waving at them.

"Well, that debt is paid," he said as he stuck the money in his pocket and headed for home. As he walked to his car, an '89 Camero, he wondered what those guys could have been after her for. Hopefully that girl he just helped wasn't one of the bad guys, thought it was unlikely since she attacked that demon.

When he got back home, he yelled out for Constantine. "Hey Dad! I'm home! You won't believe it, I got a hundred bucks for giving some mooks wrong directions. They were after some girl, but she helped me out, see, so I sent them in another direction figuring I'd do her a solid." As he walked into the living room though, he froze. With his father was the girl he just met earlier. "You...Kinda hard to forget you exist when you're waiting for me at home. Who are you?"

Ysmay had just got done asking the man if he knew her brothers, but didn't get an answer when the guy from before walked in. She cocked her head to the side, and narrowed her eyes at him. "Didn't come here for you, I came here to meet him." she stated, jerking her head toward his father. "I told you once before, my name is Ysmay." she stated, her tone sounding as if she were bored with the conversation. She then turned to Constantine, and smiled as if she knew him for years.

"So, about my brothers. They are big, names are Jeremy and Anthony. I need to find them, and they wont show themselves. Warn me if your going to chase me like that others for asking, so I get a head start on running." she said. She now forgot the other man was in the room, and ignored him as if he were a ghost. She was focused now, though she did thank him for giving them wrong directions.

"Jeremy has blond hair like me, and Anthony has green hair." she said, and showed him a picture. It was the three of them, only Anthony was holding Ysmay in a lock hold for dying his hair green. While Jeremy was laughing at his screaming little sister. She didn't know if he would still have it green, but it was worth a shot. She figured he did, because she used the if you love me you'll keep it like that until you die routine. Ysmay smiled to herself as she remembered, and shook her head.

After five minutes of no answer, she turned to Jeredai. She tilted her head as she looked at him, and then looked at his father. She tried to see their resemblance but failed because she wasn't good pairing others up. She then gave up, and kept her focus on Constantine. If she could get only one word of information then she would be set, and a little closer to finding them.

She once heard her brothers talking about demons and angels, but every time she went into the room they stopped talking. "Oh, and do you know anything about angels? My brothers talked a lot about angels and demons, and something about an angel being in the family. What ever that means." she mumbled, wanting to find out as much as she could. Even if the man couldn't help her, she would still walk out with her head held high.

"Yeah I got your name, lady. But I wanna know who you are and what you're.." Jeredai was cut off when his father raised a hand.

"Jerry, be quiet," Constantine said, and Jeredai scowled, but held his tongue. Constantine then turned his attention back to Ysmay. "This one," he said pointing at Jeremy, "is dead. Killed by jiharl demon, pretty things, they like to kiss men then spit digestive acid down their throats and drink suck their insides out like a human milkshake." His tone was cold, as if he didn't even care about spring Ysmay's feeling.

He then pointed to to Anthony. "This one I arrived in time to save. He's hiding at church in Manhattan. But I won't tell you where so you can go running of and lead those morons from the Mafia to my friend's church and I'm too busy to play chauffeur to some girl. No matter who she might be related to," he said as he looked at her cross then back into her eyes intently."

He then stood up and fixed himself some whiskey before pointing to Jeredai. "But perhaps if you make nice with my son Jerry there, he'll volunteer to take you there."

"What?" Jeredai said, bemused. "Hey, I do have plans. And I ain't gonna break just so I can drive some strange broad with smart mouth all the way to Manhattan for some half baked family reunion." He then looked to Ysmay. "No offense lady, I'm sure you're a very lovely person somewhere deep down."

Constantine went on like Jeredai had said nothing. "Tell Father Hernandez I'll see him tomorrow around noon. And don't forget to pick up some some milk on your way back." Jeredai gave his dad a 'what the hell' look before looking at Ysmay and narrowing his eyes slightly.

Ysmay stayed silent, staring at Constantine with no emotion. Memories of her brothers played in her mind but never once showed that knowing her brother was dead killed her inside. She then heard Jeredai speak, and she looked at him. One again, no emotion of hurt showed. She just stared at him, her face and eyes blank. She then looked back to his father, and to him once again. She looked down at her cross, and narrowed her eyes.

"I don't need your help. I'm fine, learn manners before talking about someone you know nothing about." she hissed, though it didn't sound angry, or sad. She just hissed blankly. When she's hurting she doesn't show it, for it shows weakness. She then turned from them, and walked out of the house. She yanked the cross from around her neck, and threw it to the ground. She kicked it away from her, and began walking.

Some people who worshiped the God above them yelled after her for doing such a thing to a cross. She ignored them, and stopped walking slightly. She began taking in her surroundings, and sighed. She took out her picture, and looked at her brothers. The way he told her Jeremy was dead sunk in, and she began to cry. From afar no one would notice, but up close they would see the water pouring from her eyes.

Anger then kicked in, and she turned around. She walked back to the house, and back up the old man that spoke so harshly. "You're a heartless prick that knows nothing about me. Don't tell me about Jeremy's death so rudely. You piece of shit asshole." she hissed, and then turned to Jeredai.

"And you," she growled, walking up to him. "Talk about my family again, and you'll give me a reason to act as I did when I knocked that demon off you." she hissed, narrowing her eyes in anger. "Say all you want about me, but bring my brothers up again, and I'll cut your man parts off while. you. sleep. Now take me to my brother as your father said, because if you don't I'll follow you around until you do." she growled, her rage showing in her eyes. She never lost it like that, and it annoyed her.

She then felt something around her neck once again, and narrowed her eyes. She yanked the necklace off, and stared at it. It always happened, if she would take it off, it would appear once again. Just like when she lost it and the paper back near jeredai it was there once again. She threw it onto their floor, and glared at them before going back outside. She stood outside the house, and ran a hand through her hair. She didn't know what got into her, but she liked the feeling. Power, it would help her to save her brother.

She thought of Jeremy once more, and held the picture to her heart. "I love you big brother, and I'm sorry I couldn't help save you." she whispered, and looked out into the distance. Her eyes began clouding over, as she remembered a time that involved her, her brothers, and her father all together before her father passed away.

Jeredai stood their surprised for a moment as he registered everything she said. "Hey now you wait just a minute. You don't just come into my home like some fucking crazy broad and you don't demand nothin of me. So you can go eat shit and wipe your lips on my nuts if you want..."

"Hey!" Constantine said to Jeredai. "You watch that tongue boy," he said, and Jeredai snapped his mouth shut. The older man then walked over to Ysmay and grabbed her by the back of the neck and pulled her in front of a mirror. "Before making demands of us in such a manner, I think you should understand what it is you're getting yourself into. Your brothers were fool to be messing with forces they don't understand and you should be thankful the one died, cause he could've been pulled to a very bad place." he then started chanting some words in Latin as he held Ysmay's face in front of he mirror.

Flames appeared in the mirror, surrounding her reflection as the mirror seemed to suck her inside. Suddenly, Ysmay was standing in a wasteland of raging fire, skulls and bones everywhere of various types, and in each of the skulls were a soul spending eternity in torment. The heat was so intense that it burned her skin, making her flesh bubble and blister in some places, melt away in other revealing the flesh underneath. Monstrous creature ravaged the land, both on the ground and in the air. In the distance a woman fell from the sky, a sinner who had just died, and she was attacked by a small demon, who ripped a hole in her stomach and crawled inside her, ripping her apart from the inside. But the woman still screamed as she couldn't die.

Suddenly, a large beast, a hell hound about the size of a bull, came and tore the woman's arm off before sniffing and turning its gaze towards Ysmay. It then growled and started charging at her, but as soon as it seemed like she was going to be eaten, she was pulled away. Suddenly, she was back in the house, soaken wet as Jeredai stood there with an empty bucket. All the painful blisters and charred skin were gone as if it never happened.

Constantine regarded her with an ice cold stare, his voice calm and emotionless. "Both your brothers might have ended up there if hadn't showed up in time. Me and my son risk that fate everyday when we go to send demons back to hell and save lives. So like I said, make nice with my son and maybe he'll take you to your now much wiser brother." He then shoved Ysmay to the floor and took a drink of whiskey.

Ysmay didn't have time to react to what was going on, and only tears escaped her eyes. She didn't understand what was happening, and tried to scream. Nothing came out because it hurt, and it burned. When she saw the woman fall from the sky, her eyes widened. She wanted to leave, wanted out of that place, but she couldn't move. She was in to much pain, not to mention scared. She could feel her heart beating rapidly in her chest. The woman screamed but wouldn't die, and Ysmay finally let out a low scream. She shut her eyes tightly, and tried her best to stop watching.

She opened her eyes slightly, and then watched as a beast tore off the arm of the woman. She stood there her eyes wide at the sight, unable to save herself. Once the bull began charging her, she finally let out a scream. A scream larger than one that anyone has ever heard. It was like her heart stopped, but before the hound could get her, she was jerked away. She stood there her eyes still wide, even though she was back at the house. Her body was shaking, and her heart started beating even faster. She was wet, and scared. She felt like such a cat, but she still couldn't move.

When she was pushed to the floor after his words, she didn't look at them. She didn't say anything, she just crawled to her cross, and put it back around her neck. She stood up, and almost fell over but caught herself. Her body was shaking more than before, and tears poured from her eyes. She didn't say anything, because she didn't want to be killed. She feared for her life, and she hated when others mad her feel that way.

She was only defending herself, and that man put fear into her. "Daddy, you promised that would never happen to me again, you said he wouldn't get me..." she whispered so low, no one would really hear her. She slowly walked out of the house, her eyes still wide. Once she was outside, she felt her face. She tried her best not to be scared, but she's only seen something like that once before. It seemed so real, it was so graphic. She got across the street, and slid down a wall. She stared at Constantine's house, not blinking. She was scared he would come back, just like her father's friend did when she was ten.

She figured Jeredai would know talking around his father wasn't an option. If he didn't then he didn't have to help her, she just didn't want to enter that house ever again. She was still wet as she sat there, her hair sticking to her face. She took off her shirt, but remained in her tank top. She then took off her pants she had under her skirt, and decided all she had to wear was the tank top and skirt. She was to scared to remain wet, and to shaky from the cold water on the clothes and fear.

"Jesus Dad!" Jeredai yelled when Ysmay left the house, loud enough for anyone to hear. "You didn't have to do that! You could've just smacked her around a few times, but Jesus Christ! You didn't have to do that to her! She just found out her brother is dead."

"She had it coming to her," Constantine said as he took a seat on the couch. "She'll get over it."

Jeredai shook his head. "You can be a real bastard sometimes, you know that?"

Constantine gave him a level stare. "Yeah, so I've been told."

Jeredai just shook his head and went outside to find the poor girl, seeing her across the street sitting against a wall. "Hey. You shouldn't have had to go through that. Come on, I'll take you to your brother," he said in a low tone as he pulled his car keys out of his pocket.

Ysmay nodded, and slowly stood up on her shaky legs. "Thank you." she mumbled, as nicely as she could. She walked toward him, and then past him. But stopped when she only got two steps passed him. She didn't want to go near that house, nor anywhere near that man. She stopped to turn toward Jeredai, and waited for him to lead the way. Though as she waited she caught site of the men from before. They spotted her, and grinned.

They then saw Jeredai, and their eyes narrowed. They wanted her, not him. Doing the best thing she knew best, she began running. They chased her, and because of what just happened she didn't run fast enough. They grabbed her by her waist, and her eyes widened in hear. Fresh tears came to her eyes, and she began screaming. No one was around at that time, so she was glad they wouldn't get into it.

"Let go of me!" she cried, and because she was scared, something happened. The same thing that happened only weeks ago. A light shined off of her, and all she saw was light. She heard the men screaming for her to stop burning them, but she didn't understand what they meant. She began screaming in more fear as they grabbed her again, and the light got brighter. It was like she was blinded.

When the light finally went down, she noticed the men on the ground. They were dead, just like the last one. She looked around to see who would have done it, but the only one near them was her. She stared at them, and then looked at Jeredai with a blank look. She didn't understand what happened, just like the last time. She looked back at the bodies, and let out a shaky breath. Her body was shaking once again, and she walked to Jeredai.

"Can we go?" she asked, acting as if she didn't kill two men. She really didn't think she did it, but how was she supposed to know when she didn't know her own power. She tilted chin so she could look up at Jeredai, her eyes pleading to take her to her big brother. She needed him more than ever, and she wanted to find him. "Thank you again, for taking me." she whispered, and then looked away to search for his car.

When the guys grabbed Ysmay, Jeredai grabbed one of them an punched him hard before grabbing another and throwing him to the ground. But when the other one got and and tackled him from behind, the other one went back to help the others with Ysmay. But then suddenly, a bright shone, sending a tingle through Jeredai as it killed the other men. Though he didn't know it, the cross he wore his father gave him him protection from angels, cause as his father taught him, not all of them good, at least not in the way humans were used to. It was amazing what one could do in the name of God.

When they made it to his car, Jeredai sighed. "So you're a half-ling," he said. "That's just terrific. No wonder my father did that to you. He can smell and angel a mile away and he doesn't like most of em. You people really give us head aches sometimes, ya know. Like we're not on the same side or something. Just because we don't go entirely by the book."

As they got in the car, Jeredai buckled his seat belt and started the engine. "Name's Jeredai, by the way. Dunno if you've heard of me or not, but most call me Jerry. Just do me a favor and try not to do holy light thing. Some demons make it their passion to go after angels. Scores major points with Lucifer if they manage to bring one down to hell."

Ysmay tilted her head at him, and raised a brow. She scrunched up her nose, and looked around. Her eyes then rested on him, and she stared at him intently.

"Who the hell are you talking about?" she asked, still staring at him. Yes, she's heard her brothers talk about angels, but never heard anything of importance. "I'm not a half-ling, I'm fully white.." she mumbled completely confused on what Jeredai was saying. She looked back to see the dead men laying there, and she looked back at him. "No, I haven't heard of you. I have no idea who you are." she answered honestly, and puffed her cheeks as she took a breath.

She didn't understand what he meant about holy-light, and clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Who killed those men anyways?" she asked, looking around once more. It was clear she had no idea what he was talking about, that's for sure. She looked like a lost puppy, searching for it's owner.

Jerry shook his head at her comments. "Yeah, I know you're white. Whiter than an Irishman in the arctic. But you're a half-ling. Half human half angel. And you killed those guys back there." He then sighed again. "Fuck me! You really don't know? Really? Fuck me. That little light show back? That was all you. My father and I protected, so it won't hurt us, but damn! Let's just get you to your brother so we can put this fucking night behind us. Okay?" Jeredai sped up, going almost double the speed limit.

Ysmay's eyes widened, and she stared at Jeredai intently. Why was he yelling at her for not knowing who she is, and how the hell did he know she was some half-ling. She narrowed her eyes at him, and crossed her arms. Then it sunk in, and she made a confused face.

"I'm not an angel. It's not even possible, I'm only a human girl, in search of her brothers that have been missing for like two or three years." she stated, and looked away. She didn't want to come to terms with it, because she didn't understand what he was saying. He doesn't know her, therefore he doesn't know what she is. She stared out of the car window, her face blank of emotion.

"And don't yell at me. I didn't do anything to you in the first place." she said, and laid her head against the window. She didn't really like Jeredai, he was a bitter, bitter man. He may be cute, but that didn't give 'em the right to yell at her as he pleased. It actually made her even more mad than how he talked about her family. She was dead serious about cutting his man junk off while he slept, but she wouldn't tell him that.

She needed to get with her brothers, even if it meant this guy hanging around. She knew exactly what she needed to do, and she was dead set on doing it.

She would give 'em the silent treatment, and not talk to him. It may be childish, but she didn't care. She never got the chance to be a kid, so she would take it out on the man before her. She looked at him one final time, and rolled her eyes. "You're a horrible person." she mumbled, and looked away. She didn't believe he would hear her, but whatever.

Jeredai grunted at Ysmay's comments about him, he had been told as much before by others. "Well it doesn't matter what you or anyone else thinks of me, half-ling," he said, puting emphasis on the last word. "Just because I don't know you doesn't mean I don't know what you are. Like you know a dog's a dog even if you've never seen it before. So seeing as your brothers aren't half-lings, I'd say at least one of your parents has been keeping secrets. Rather you believe it or not changes nothing. Let's just get you to your brother so I can be rid of ya."

As they were driving, Jeredai felt they were being followed, though with there always being traffic in New York, especially on the way to Manhattan, it was hard to tell who it might be or if he was just being paranoid. But then suddenly, as he looked into his rear-view mirror, he saw a man with sunshades, and there was only one reason to wear shades while driving at night, and that was because he was a demon. "Great, told you that little display of yours was like a beacon. Now we got a demon tracking us. Hold on."

Jeredai then turned at the next intersection as he tried to lose their follower, turning down a few alley ways and small streets, but the guy was persistent. He then did a sharp turn suddenly down a one-way street in the wrong direction, tires screeching as he maneuvered to avoid other cars, knocking over trashcans and such in the process. The demon was still behind them though, matching them move for move. He hated how demons could do almost effortlessly what took him years of practice to master do to their heightened reflexes. Eventually, they made it back onto the main road, the demon still on their tail. But then Jeredai smiled, a red light. He knew this could just as likely kill them instead, but he decided to take a chance. So he ran the red light, swerving to avoid the incoming traffic as he barely made it through. The demon, though, wasn't as lucky as he got T-boned by a large Hummer, sending it flipping several sideways before landing upside down.

Jeredai let out a sigh of relief. "That was fun," he said with a chuckle. He then smacked his steering wheel with both hands out of excitement. "Woo! No one chases me in New York and wins," he said confidently as he let out a laugh. Finally, the turned onto the highway leading to Manhattan Island, the church they were heading to located in the middle of the island. When they finally got there, Jeredai pulled right up to the front steps, not bothering with the parking lot. The church was small, on the outside, nothing special or significant about it. But underneath was a whole other section that seemed to stretch below almost a mile in each direction. "Here we are. Your brother will be underneath somewhere," he said as he the preacher came out of his booth to greet them. "Father Hernandez," Jeredai said respectfully with a small bow of his head. "This girl is looking for her brother. Dad says he brought him here.

The preacher nodded and smiled. "Very well, child," he said before looking at Ysmay. "Tell me, young lady, for whom is it you search?"

Ysmay said nothing, and stared out of the window. She was sticking to her silent treatment, and nothing would stop her from it. She rolled her eyes as he spoke, and yawned in the process. She wanted to be rid of him, as much as he wanted to be rid of her. She came to the decision that she didn't like this man, and it was clear in her body language. Yes, she was scared he could kill her at any second, but she was also bitter because of how rude he was being. It wasn't her fault she was a half-ling, it was her parents. Ah, her parents. The thought of her mother made her blood boil, and the thought of her father made her eyes well up with tears. She hurried and wiped them from her face, and leaned her head against the window once more.

Her pity on herself was cut short, when Jeredai announced their was a demon behind them. She did as told, and held on to he sides of her seat. They were picking up speed and it caused Ysmay to close her eyes tightly. She shot forward when they came to the red light - that Jeredai ran, and banged her head against the dash. She yelped in pain, and growled under her breath. She turned her head around to see if the demon was gone, and it was. Of course it was flipped a couple times, and Ysmay grinned. "Ya' got what you deserve you nasty prick." she hissed, as she rubbed her head. She flinched slightly, but ignored the pain as she did any other time. She ignored Jeredai's victory taunt, and leaned back on the seat to rest her head.

As Ysmay closed her eyes, it was brought to her attention that they were now at the church. She didn't waste anytime on getting out of the car. She held her head as she walked, and came to a stop when Jeredai talked to the priest. She smiled sweetly at the man, and bowed her head. Though she hissed while doing so. "Nice to meet you, Father Hernandez" she said, her voice the most respectful she's ever sounded around someone other than her family.

"My name is Ysmay Burlesque Blouet, and I'm searching for my older brother, Anthony Blouet." she stated, her voice soft and polite. She knows how to show respect to those who deserve it. "Is he here?" she asked, her voice almost a whisper. She looked at the ground, not ready to hear that he may be dead as well. She missed her brother more than anyone whom is living. Her brothers have always been her important family, even more than her father. Though it should be her father is most important, but he never exactly showed his love for her. She just grew more close to her brothers after her father's passing, and she couldn't bare to lose them all.

The preacher nodded in response to her question. "Yes, My dear. Please, follow me. I will take you below. Just remember it is very important not to tell anyone about this place."

As they walked to the back, Jeredai waved at them. "Okay! Was nice seeing ya father! Dad says he'll see ya around noon tomorrow. But as he turned to walk away, Father Hernandez called out. "Wait, Jeredai. There is something I need you to take back to your father for me. Please, come with us."

Jeredai sighed. "Fine, let's just hurry this up please. Be careful though, father. She's a half-ling." The preacher then paused. "Half angel, I presume?" When Jerry nodded, the man grunted. "Well, I will take you to see your brother, but you cannot stay here. Some demons can sense angels, even half-lings, and I have no reason to doubt young Jerry here. We cannot allow this place to be discovered, you understand yes? And whatever you do, do not use your powers, cause then any demon close by will sense you."

As they all went to the back, the went to the baptism room where there was a large tub used for baptizing. The preacher drained it, then they got inside and opened up a water tight hatch in the floor. The area below was huge, the size of a small town. There seemed to be only around a hundred people though, including children. "He is right this way," the preacher said as he lead them down a hall way to the left where the bedrooms were.
