"I'm not quite sure why we're buying this... thing from DysonCorp... It's just going to get scrapped by Sigma, and it won't have even been worth our time."

"We're not buying it, we're buying the right to battle it. Basically, we just entered into an expensive wager match with no chance of getting out money back."

"... So there's really no point, is there?"

"We're doing this in the name of science, you whiny son of a bitch!"

"Fine, fine... So what was this things name again?"

"Zeta."

"Those rip-off artists!"

In a world not quiet unlike our own... A large limestone construct towered above all but the King's palace. The circular building, if it could be demeaned with such a name, was mostly arches stacked upon one another, at least on the circumference of the building. At least a half-mile in diameter, there was an open field in the middle of the construct that was basically an expanse of dirt and grass. This field was the length of two football fields in diameter, which left the rest of the construct left to house seating for any who might like to see what the field was used for...

This building, construction, stonework masterpiece was fondly known as...

The Colosseum Arena Battleground, and that's exactly what it-

"That's the BEST you can do?"

"What? It's gonna be a showdown! Android versus android! Creation battling creation! Why not in an overglorified Roman Colosseum?"

"... Fine."

The Battleground was empty, completely barren of all life, except for two conscious beings that now stood (or floated) in the center field. Zeta and Subject Sigma faced each other about 50 yards apart, the orb floating about two feet above the ground while the android simply stood there, almost statuesque.

"Okay you two. DysonCorp and Omega Facility are having a little... showdown between their prized experiments. You two are going to prove once and for all which of us is the better underground mad scientist group! Alright, READY?!"

"ACTION!!"

Jacogos will allow The Imposter to make the first move. After you, my friend.

The screen flicked on giving way to a scene that appeared to be a lab. A middle aged man walked back and forth wringing his hands, his face visibly expressing an upset nature. He looked to the screen and spoke in burst, his voice shaking.

'I don't understand how could Sengaru do this? Using the funds for the match in such a horrible way! Everything I've ever done has been for him and yet he looks passed me. He should have never taken that offer....right, of course! It isn't my lovely Sengaru's fault that he spent the money on young, and far more attractive men to keep in his office for days on end. Oh no! It's those stupid, two-bit scientists that think their creation is better than ours. Well...well we will show them won't we...Zeta?'

Zeta's auditory, ocular functions booted up just as a voice rang out over the battlefield. The voice explained the purpose of the battle although Zeta already had been giving its directive. Zeta began to observe its surroundings noting the large construct and the distance to its target. Its internal database turned up nothing in the search for Subject Sigma and searching Omega Facility proved to be useless as the 3100000 results all varied. It could be concluded that such a name was commonly used by petty scientists.

The large android shifted its feet before taking off, its blinding speed being showcased. Its sleek body charged forward towards the floating mass. As it entered into a close combat proximity the SR-Z1922 model veered to its left in an attempt to circle Subject Sigma, as its motion neared its conclusion Zeta released one of its legs in a roundhouse towards the glowing fetus like object.

Sigma became aware, if one such as it could be truly aware. For a moment, there was simply darkness as Sigma's functions began to return to a conscious state. Then, Sigma could see, take in its surroundings. A large stone creation surrounded it, with what looked like tiered levels for... seating? Yes, seating, the seating of people, perhaps? Sigma was unsure, but for now, that didn't truly matter.

What mattered was the large humanoid charging at it, hellbent on attacking Sigma. Sigma's onboard computer activated as the humanoid-robot mixture (Android? Yes, that sounded right... Was that not-) circled and swung its leg at Sigma.

Truly, the flanking maneuver was unnecessary and inefficient, as Sigma could focus its sight in any direction as an orb, which is basically what its computer did during the preliminary moments of the fight, collecting as much 'snapshots' of the surrounding area as it could before processing the area's layout, hazard list, et cetera. What this move did accomplish, however, was catching Sigma while this process was still in progress. There was no defense.

Flying like a projectile launched from a gun, Sigma eventually landed on the ground and 'rolled' a few feet before friction overcame momentum and stopped it in its tracks. Though in this stage, pain was not quite a factor in the young androids processing, Sigma couldn't help but voice its reaction.

"Ow."

The scan completed then, and Sigma was aware of this... colosseum's layout. It was rather straightforward, nothing much beyond the walls of the battlefield. This would be a very one-way fight, in Subject Sigma's mind. With nowhere to hide, nowhere to run, there could only be attack. Sigma registered this word 'attack'; registered it and cataloged it.

As always, though, Sigma wasn't quite unwilling to approach its opponent with a form of communication. With its scan done, Sigma had nothing else to do. And so, staying where it was, Sigma called out to the other creation, the one it registered was called 'Zeta'. Its voice was hallow, lacking femininity or masculinity, underlined with a tone of synthetic design.

"Hello. I am Subject Sigma. It seems you are already aware that we are to do battle here. You are called Zeta, yes? Something in my mind tells me that this is a name not unlike my own. Could you perhaps inform me of its origin?"

The sleek android had set its leg back down and watched its opponent flop along the ground and then stop. It then called out to Zeta inquiring of its name. Zeta's head titled slightly almost giving off a sense of confusion, although it didn't get confused.

'...bzzzt....Zeta is the sixth letter of the Greek alphabet derived from Zayin in the Phoenician alphabet. SR-Z1922 is the sixth android produced by DySon Corporations....bzzzt...unable to access further information for inquiry...SR model types are classified to general populace....bzzzt....does this suffice?'

The voice that came from Zeta was mechanical, and spoke without personality. It was obvious that such a form of communication wasn't something considered important in its make up. The SR-1922 took a step forward and stopped suddenly.

'....bzzzt...correction this model's directive is not "to do battle here"'. When quoting Subject Sigma Zeta played back its own voice and then continued to speak. '...bzzt..directive is as follows...commencing playback.' The voice that spoke during the playback was that of a scientist, in fact it was Gus during his rant exclaiming that he wanted Zeta to tear the other android apart.

Zeta than continued its second charge at the floating orb. This time its tail like appendage stiffening out and readying itself to pierce with its pointed tip into the small floating fetus.

Reciprocate! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJ-F8uZbx2M&feature=youtu.be)

Sigma watched as the other android answered it, the little orb quite entertained by the prospect that it was named after a Greek letter. Did that mean.... was it simply another on a list of failed prospects? The one called Zeta was the sixth of its kind... Were there more before Sigma? Were the others still alive?

Subject Sigma didn't have much time to figure this out, however, as the other android began to attack once again. Yet again, the robot decided to use a frontal assault, though this time it was apparently wanting to use its tail to pierce Sigma.

Well that wouldn't do.

The orb easily maneuvered to the right of the attack, letting the other android sail past harmlessly. It was at that moment that Sigma felt a surge of pain within its body, as if his nerves were all set alight at the same time. It was there, and then gone, replaced by a... power of some sort.... He couldn't understand what it was for, though.

There was, however, an urge... Subject Sigma looked at Zeta, feeling the powerful need to release the energy at Zeta. It was impossible to deny the urge. Sigma must obey the instinct it was given...

Electricity surged from Sigma's body. At first it was simply static shock accumulating around the orb, but without a means to disperse it, the electricity found another way; launching itself towards Zeta. It was simply a ball of electricity, about 500 or so volts, moving at the speed of a tossed baseball.

Zeta's attack had been easily evaded leaving the android open. Its tail missing the target completely, Zeta had only enough time to turn and reach out to the electric ball as it surged through its body. Command pathways glitched becoming corrupted with the new surge of power. It wasn't anything that couldn't be recalibrated in a fraction of a second but it was unexpected. Zeta's sensory functions fizzled for a moment and leaving it without sound or sight.

Suddenly a melody (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BCtns1o95c) started playing from Zeta's audio outputs at a ridiculous volume. The mechanical knight concluded the electric current had changed the pattern layout of its system access. It was impossible that Subject Sigma knew that such an outcome was possible, wasn't it? Zeta quickly reconfigured and calibrated its system pathways but its ocular censors would take some time to reboot. A quick diagnostic revealed that the charge had not been all lost as it passed through the android into the ground, but that it had absorbed some of its energy. The magic infused fuel being able to convert the high voltage ball into something useful. Having gained a little extra juice the only logical step would be to use its other source of energy the sun to power up an attack for later.

'...bzzt...as they use to say back in the dark ages....bbzzztt...come at me bro!'

The voice still was cold and without personality and barely was audible over the music still playing incredibly loud from Zeta. Such noise meant nothing to the android, despite being without sight. Its tail and hands poised in a defensive stance awaiting for Subject Sigma's next move.

Fire!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDXoUjTiVRo)

Sigma was unsure how much it had affected the other android. On the surface, it looked completely unharmed, though it now began to produce a sound that Sigma's latent memory named 'music'. Why was it doing that? Music had nothing to do with this battle. There was no reason to be playing music now... Though Sigma had to admit, the sound fit the mood quite well. It did not understand why this was necessary, though.

It was then that the other android spoke again, saying the words 'Come at me, bro!', which only helped to confuse Sigma even more. Why would it say something like that? It did say it was making a reference... But, whatever. Sigma felt the need to answer it. "Very well. Here I come!" When the android made no attempt to attack, however, Sigma realized that it was waiting for something. Which meant it was time for it to attack first!

... But where was the energy? Where was the attack? There was no power, no pain that told Sigma that it could attack. Where was-

Heat. Fire. Pain. Burning. Hot. Power. Heat. Pain. Ow. Burning. Scorching! Burn them all! Scorch them to cinders!! INCINERATE!! The pain was unbearable. Drawing in on itself, Sigma found a safe place, huddled inside of itself, in a ball smaller than the orb it already was... And began to change, shifting, evolving... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfeBNwWGmzs)

The orb began to glow, the light quickly growing to blinding as the experiment began to change. The energy it put out was astounding, off the charts in most ways. It spiked, then quickly dispersed as the light diminished. As the light went away, though, a ring of fire burst out from where the orb was. It went out in a 360 degree arc, parallel to the ground and dispersed whenever it hit something.

In the meantime, though, Sigma had changed. With the light gone, the orb was as well, replaced by a small child of androgynous gender. A long white shirt turned into a 'dress' on the small child, though that wouldn't have looked too out of place on a boy going to sleep. However, it was the long snow white hair that decided the child to most likely be female. Her eyes were odd, for instead of pupils, she had three circles arranged in a triangle pattern, of a teal-ish color. For a moment, her pale skin emanated a blue aura, but it faded after a moment.

The attack completed, the child simply floated there as the orb had, two feet above the ground. She contemplated the android in front of her, wondering what its next move would be.

Oh golly I can pick youtube music to set the mood to. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGy70BxOQwY&feature=related)

Despite Zeta's defensive stance there was little it could do against the surging wave of flame. After all its sensory functions were still rebooting from the electrical surge. The fiery burst was short lived but as the flames licked up the the metallic body of the android. It's pointed face expressionless...or rather its head. Zeta didn't have much in the way of facial features. The flames did little in the way of phasing the sleek mechanized fighter as the force of the blast was weak, however the event was stored on its memory banks. After all its fuel was incredibly flammable and now that its opponent had showed it was capable of causing a spark and flame such things should be cautiously observed further.

The visual scene that loaded for the SR-Z1922 had changed, the orb from earlier was gone and in its place the white haired girl child. Zeta's head titled slightly as it processed the influx of new information. Recording the change as a progression, assuming that its enemy may continue to adjust. Once again it was the bigger faster better looking sleek metallic fighter that whizzed through the air towards its adolescent counterpart. As it sped towards the midget child of white cilium a vacuum was created near the SR-Z1922 hands.

Confirming its target in its sites and now in very close proximity it released its Windslicer offensive. The barreling X-shaped magically infused razor wind blades both formed crescents arching slightly with the apex where the joined together aiming right for that little witch-like looking child's body.

Defense (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXxaf0VaDsA)!

Yelping in surprise, Sigma floated backwards, trying to outrange the attack. However, Zeta was much too fast, outmaneuvering Sigma and unleashing its attack at near-point-blank range. Sigma braced for the impact, squeezing her eyes shut as she waited for the pain.

Something flickered in her mind, something so quick that a lesser mind might have missed it. It was a long moment before Sigma realized that she wasn't bisected. Opening her eyes, Zeta was slowly moving away, as she was still moving backwards after the android's attack was completed. What had saved her was the shimmering shield around her hat she didn't even realize had been up, completely rendering the attack null. Settling back down on the ground, Sigma studied the defensive matrix for a moment before it disappeared.

"Huh..." she muttered, now returning her odd gaze to the android before her. Assuming that her move for the moment was spent, Sigma peered around her to get an idea of what she could do next.

Not even a few feet behind her was the wall of the Colosseum, and about a few feet above that was seating for the audience. Since Zeta was out on the field, Sigma decided that getting to higher ground, perhaps giving her the advantage...

Blinking once, Subject Sigma wondered where that idea had come from. She had never heard of 'higher ground advantage' before. So...? Shaking her head, she turned and immediately ascended the wall, placing herself among the stone seats that blood-thirsty viewers would be sitting upon to watch such a violent and gruesome match. Wondering what her next ability would be, Sigma turned and slowly floated backwards, keeping her eyes on the android that was no doubt waiting to charge her.
