Dantonio Edford crept through the halls of the small trailer, his pistol glimering in the lamp light. He pushed open a door and found a small baby crib. He peered into the crib to see a fair haired toddler chewing on a teething ring. He smiled at the toddler, "Hello little darling." He picked up the girl and sat down in a chair waiting for her father to arrive.

A few minutes later, a dark-haired man wearing flannel and jeans came into the room with surprise clearly sewn upon his face. "M..Mr. Edford, sir, what brings you here this evening?" The man's eyes darted to Edford then to his daughter then back again. Dantonio smiled, "Quite a beautiful girl you have here Jack. Tis would be a shame for her to grow up knowning that her father was in deep trouble with the Family." he said as he bouncing the sweet girl upon his knee. Jack stoof dumbfounded, "Please I told you I would get the money. I just ran into some.." Dantonio broke him off, " I don't give a damn about what excuse you have this time, Jack. Either pay up now or pay with your life. Either way makes no difference to me." A mask of anger wore itself upon Jack's face, "I think not Dantonio. For it will be your life that pays." Jack pulled out a gun and aimed it at Dantonio's head. A gun shot went off in the room, and a toddler crying came after that. Jack looked at his baby girl and fell to his knees clutching his stomach. Jack leaned againest the wall, his life force slowly seeping itself away from him. He looked at his daughter then to Dantonio, "Her name is Alexandria." His last wordswere sent in a hush tone and he laid there dead.

Dantonio looked down at the innocent child in his lap. She looked up at him with tear streaks upon her cheeks. Dantonio's heart swelled up at the thought of leaving this poor innocent child all alone and without a proper guardian. He decided then and there that he would along with his Family would take care of the child and treat her as his own daughter. Dantonio walked out of the trailer and put the girl in the back seat of his car. He went back to his trunk and pulled out a can of gasoline and doused the inside of the house and the outside of the house. He pulled a packet of matches from his pocket, stroke one to live, and threw it at the trailer. The trailer went up in flames in a few seconds. Dantonio hopped it the car quickly. He buckled the toddler into the backseat and pulled away from the burning trailer, leaving it behind him as he did with everything else.

Alexandria drummed her fingers on the back seat door, listening to her Ipod and nothing else. She was happy and simply excitied for this was the beginning of the many summer vacations to come since she graduated from Madam Thompson's School for Ladies. The car pulled up to her home. She stepped from the car, not waiting for the driver to open the door. It has been a while since I've seen this place, she said in her mind, Everything looks the same yet I sense something is different.

Alex ran up the steps and threw open the doors into the mansion-size house. She ran to her father's study and knocked quickly. She was granted permission to enter and ran to her father, his arms wrapping tightly around her. "Papa, I've missed you." she said squeezing tightly. Her father kissed her head, "I've missed you also my sweet girl. Now tell me what is it like to finely beable to be free of the school life for a while." he said smiling. Her eyes twinkled, "It feels absolutely amazing. I can't wait to just beable to get out of this boring uniform and live my life now." Her father smiled, "Well then go change and you can tell me all about your boring adventures." he laughed. Alex smiled and ran up to her room to find something comfortable to wear

Dantonio sat back in his chair quite comfortably. He thought back to that day, sixteen years ago. It had taken quite alot of therapy to convince the girl that she wasn't an orphan and that he was in fact her father. He had even gone through a dangerous procedure to make sure that he shared her features. She had never opnce suspected that he wasn't her father. There had been one close incident with law enforcement that was investigating her father's death. They had tryed to claim the girl from school. The Family 'Watchmen' had taken alot of percaution to not injure her in the car chase that ensued. It had taken even more memory sessions to make her forget that one. Eventually, when she was ten, the sessions had stopped working. Now, Dantonio was very VERY careful with his daughter, lest she figure out the truth.

Alexandria came running down the stairs wearing a pair of loose shorts and a t-shirt. She headed for the kitchen before she was to return to her father's study. She poured herself a glass of water with a couple of ice cubes and walked back to her father's study. She knocked on the door lightly and was allowed permission in. She smiled as she looked to her father. His hair seeming to become a bit grey, his features softening, his age was showing but to no great lengths. She sat in the chair across from his desk. "So where should I start? The time that Miss Laspuna accidently gave us all homework for no reason other than her being an old hag who can not find a husband or the time when the students from the near-by military school decided to tee-pee the school and let their livestock run wild in the corridors?" she asked smileing brighty, awaiting for her father to reply.

"I think I'd rather here about the more exciting ones first, the boring ones second, and the regular ones third." Dantonio says with his usual logic. He was always very logical about everything, except for his daughter that is. Most everyone had quessed that at this point. He leans back in his chair and beckons her to do the same. "So, did anyone give you any 'trouble' at school?"

Alex leaned back, "Nope not really. I mean there was this one snooty girl but I just brushed her off and ignored her. Now on to better details. I was thinking since this is my free-loader months or months, I was thinking that maybe I could beable to go out more especially since I'm a young woman now and can properly handle myself. And even for the fun of it, I could maybe volunteer at the local animal shelter. Please please pretty please?" She gave her father the pouty face that always does the trick "Please daddy, with sugar on top." She battered those pretty eyes at her father til she got the answer she was looking for.

Dantonio smiles weakly, barely resisting the urge to totally deny her or totally give in. He knows that if he gives in now, even more requests will follow. But, if he totally denies her, she'll get angry, become unmanagable, and go off and do it anyways. "Sweetheart, you know how dangerous it is for you." Right when that mad look would come about her says, "BUT, if you'll allow people that I know to accompany you, I'll let you go do you little 'community service' thing." The particular guy he had in mind was wanting to become his personal bodyguard. He would have to prove himself with Dantonio's daughter first.

Alex squealed with delight and she ran around the desk and hugged and kissed her father, "Thank you thank ou thank you daddy. Your such an awesome daddy. I promise I won't be a handful for your person or whoever it is. And just think about what the puppies will think when they see me taking care of them." She laughed with joy and ran out of the room her heart filled with the uter most joy for her father. She ran outside and put on some music and began dancing to her heart's content. Her energy level soon worn out and she took a seat by the pool, watching the birds and the sun simmer by the earth's edge and disappearing into the darkness.

Dantonio shivered at the thought about the poor hapless animals that she ended up taking care of. He wasn't going to pull any strings for her this time and get her the easy path. He pitied the unlucky bastard that became her manager. He phoned the guy that was to be her escort and got it set up pretty quick. The unknowing man practically jumped at the chance to prove himself. He finished the phone call and brought up the mansion's security cam. He glanced at Alex who was sitting by the pool and went back to his buisness.

Arthur was seated at the desk in his room. His pen moved quickly over the paper in front of him, he was completing a report on a recent "deed" he was present at. One of Datonio's top leg breakers, Roger needed back up for a collection so Rook volunteered. They went to the man's restaurant job and waited in the alley. It was a very cliché collection session in Brock's own words. But no sense in messing with what works he said. Anyway they skulked in the shadows for about an hour until the man came out carrying a black bag full of scraps. They stepped from the blackness and grabbed the man and the bag. What followed was a lot of begging, crying, and a smashed finger. The money arrived the next day with some interest. He completed the letter then rolled it up and tied it to the foot of his trained pigeon then sent it out the back window.

It's the only way he can get anything out that's not suspicious or traceable since pigeons roost on the house anyway. With this job done he puts everything back the way it was then exited his room twirling his mustache absent mindedly. He adopted this as a quirk Rook does all the time and it's seemed to have worked so far.
"Hey stop playing with your face and get over here the Boss's daughter is back home we gotta do the search." He looks as Roger looms in the doorway of the hall crossing his arms wearing his usual growl. With a slow nod Rook falls in step behind Roger.
"Uh what we lookin' for Roger?" He asks keeping the dumb in his voice. With a sigh Roger explains for 200th time.
"We gotta look and make sure none of her stuff was bugged or otherwise compromised." With a laugh and smile Rook says.
"Oh yeah I knew that."

Alex awoke early next morning and decided to go out for a jog. She dresses pretty quicly putting on a pair of jogging capris and a tank top. She grabbed her Ipod and closed the house door quitely. She jogged to the gate and had one of the guards open it for her, telling them to tell her father that she went for a quick jog. She jogged down the road at an even pace, clearing her mind of all the stress she had from school. She thought about how she can't wait to go to the animal shelter and beable to care for all of the animals til they get adpoted. Of course it will be sad to see them go but they'll be well taken care of, she told herself.

When she jogged for about a mile, she decided it was best to turn back for home. She would be yelled out by her father but he will just have to come to terms that she is becoming a young woman who is capaable to make her own decisions, she told herself. Alex talked and argued with herself all the way to the house. She decided to take a cool shower before she hoped in the pool. ALex bound up the stairs and opened her bedroom door to find a strange looking man rummagin around through her desk drawer. "Who the hell are you?" she demanded.

Dantonio glanced at the security screen by chance at that moment. He saw the man that as assigned to check his daughters luggage being confronted by the very person whom he was told that should NEVER see him. Dantonio nearly fell out of his chair and rushed as quickly, and quietly as his legs would take him. He tripped on the stairs and nearly sent as an original Yang dinasty vase flying. Thankfully, one of his many 'shadows' or rather, 'personal butlers' dived out of the nook he as in and dived to catch the vase. He succeded, put the vase back in place, and helped Dantonio back to his feet. H then promptly disapeared again. Dantonio composed himself outside of Alex's room and walked in casually as if he had just been coming in and had heard her question. "Oh, you don't know him?" He said. "This is one of the family butlers. He as just checking for... things that you're freinds might have hidden." Dantonio glanced at the hapless man and indicated with his eyes for him to leave, NOW, and that they would talk later.

There Rook was doing his duty going through Little Alex's stuff making sure someone hadn't planted anything or none of her shampoos were rigged to explode when who should come in but Little Alex herself. Well she wasn't so little now but he couldn't say that. Anyway there he was looking like a sicko with one of her socks in his scarred hands. He was more dumbfounded then he was usually tripping over his words trying to explain.
"Uh...Miss....Alex...uh...I was...just." He almost had something when who should come in but the boss man himself, the Bruiser almost shit himself when Alex came in as soon as he saw Dantonio throwing up was added to that almost list. But it all went away when the Boss dismissed him, placing the sock back he takes deep bow then hurries himself out of the room closing the door slowly behind him.

Alex turned to her father just as the man left, "Dad I know your an important man and all, but why would any of my friends try to hide things in my belongings. That's just stupid and besides I've grown up I don't assiociate with those kind of people." she said as she looked around her room making sure nothing was taken or misplaced. She sat upon her bed and looked at her father, "There's something called trust in thw world now. I know not alot of people use it successfully but those who do make wonderful friends." She smiled as she appoarched her father, "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to take a shower." she gently pushed her father out of the room and closed her door.

Alex smiled she loved her father with all of her heart but sometimes he was way too over protective. After Alex took a nice long cooling shower, she decided it was time for some sun, that school really did nothing for her complextion. Alex picked out a camo two piece and wrapped a towel around herself til she got poolside. She walked downstairs and knocked on the door to her father's study and was granted for permission to enter. She saw her father sitting in his chair talking with the man that had been in her room. She smiled, "Hello, I don't think we've been properly introduced. I'm Alex, whats your name?" she held her hand out for him to shake.

Dantonio sighed when she pushed him out of the way, then headed back to his study with Bruiser in tow. When they reached it Dantonio waved Bruiser into one of the many chairs centered around his desk. He then sits down in his on chair and begins to talk. "Listen 'Bruiser', we need to talk about this. You must understand, FIRST, you should pay attention to ANY sound of movement when going through my daughters stuff for bugs. SECOND, if you're caught you have to make it look as if you aren't actually going through her stuff. I mean, for God's sake, you could have disguised yourself as a butler and made it look as if you were putting the clothes away. Then finally, THIRD, You sho-" (Here he was interupted by Alex.) "OH! Darling! How are you? This is-" From there he indicated for Bruiser to introduce himself.

Rook listened carefully to the lecture uttering a "Yes Boss" every so often. He couldn't believe he let something so obvious slip past him, he was supposed to be dumb but not that dumb. Ah well maybe it'll work to his advantage. He was about to say another "Yes Boss" when Alex came in wrapped in a towel dressed for the pool he stood as Dantonio started to introduce him stepping forward he grips her small hand lightly and bows.
"I am Rook Andrews Miss Edford. And I'm sorry for earlier I'm new to this position last place I worked was for an old man who was in a wheelchair. Didn't have to worry about him popping in." He looks at Dantonio and bows again.
"Please sir may I be excused I have "other" duties that need my attention."

Alex smiled at Rook, "No worry my good fellow. But please call me Alex, all that Miss Edford I got called at the school. And no worries for earlier, no harm done." Alex turned toward her father and smiled sweetly, "Papa I'm going to go for a quick swim. I was wondering who is the man that will escorting me to the animal shelter to begin work?" she teetered on the balls of her feet waiting for an anwser.

Oh she isn't going to be happy with this one, Dantonio thinks before he says, "It will be one of my buisness partner's sons." In the Family that was one of the many codes for a hitman, and Dantonio sincerely hoped that his daughter hadn't picked up the slang yet. Before she got the look on her face that would say, You're putting me with a rich, snobby kid?, he also commented, "Don't worry. I made sure to pick someone that suits your tastes." Oh god I hope this works out... her tandrums are legendary..

Alex narrowe3d her eyes at her father and placed her hands on her hips in a excuse me, "What do you mean by my tastes, exactly. Well, he better be cute because I want something nice to look at if I got to talk to him." she turned around in a humph and walked away towards the pool.

Alex was muttering to herself as she slid in to the pool, "Stupid male species....can't do anything right....main organ ain't their brain." She swam a couple of laps then dried herself off. She walked up the stairs to her bedroom, cursing some men but loving others. She entered her room and turned on her Ipod speakers and turned on her Ipod. She went to her dresser and pulled out a pair of clothes to wear after she was done showering. She entered the bathroom and took a cool short shower.

Alex came down the stairs, keys in hand wearing a pair of jean capris, a tye dye halter top, and yellow flip flops. Her hair in a ponytail to be kept out of her face. She knocked on the door to her father's study, "Hey is that dude here yet?" she asked through the door.

As it was the hapless fello was hear. He wasn't unpleasent to look at, actually most women that he met considered him quiet handsome. He was about 6'1, Tanned skin, swept back blonde hair, and his muscles were toned down to the toes. However, he was trained to be forgetable, as per his job. His name was Andrew. He stood at attention in front of Dantonio's desk, carefully listening to his instructions. Or, at least he was till Alex entered. When she did, he immediantly relaxed into a more comfortable pose, a more believeable way of standing for who he was supposed to be. He looked over and Alex and smiled shyly. My, the lad is quite the actor, Dantonio though before speaking. "Yes darling he is here. The kind boy here's name is Andrew. Come meet him."

Alex eye's open wide in surprise, he is really a looker she thought, but let's play hard to get. She smiled, "Hi Andrew I'm Alex as you already know. I hope we will be getting along seeing as your my own personal charperone. I do have a thing to get to. So if you'll just follow me." She walked around the desk and kissed her father's cheek and then left the room abruptly, letting Andrew follow her.

Once they were in the parking garage, she turned around suddenly. "Okay listen. I know what I'm about to say may seem bitchy but i don't care. I know my father hired you to keep watch on me, but I want you to know, that even though I may look like some fragile young thing I will not be taken advantage of. You got me? An another thing if you piss me off by any means, I will hurt you." She smiled, "Okay lets do this"

As she turns her back to him Andrew's eyes turn cold. Just wait till your father gets tired of you and your attitude, He thinks. His face turns back into that impecable smile. "I'm sure that we'll get along Just fine miss, and yes, I have been hired to watch over you, but be sure that I have no intention of taking advantage of you. That would be a very bad career choice on my part." He then stands, waiting for her to go.

Dantonio stand in his office, watching Alex and Andrew on the secret security moniter. He grimaces when his daughter indicates violence towards Andrew but he shrugs it off. Hopefully she would grow more attached to him then that bonehead friend of hers. He thinks with a smile on his face.

She smiles, staring into his eyes, "Yes let's." She hopped into her baby blue convertible and instructs him to get in. After he hops in, she turns on the radio and pulls out of the drive way. She conentracts on the road as her mind is whirling with thoughts and ideas. Those eyes, she thought, they felt like they could see into your soul. She swirved, barly missing a civilian. She inwardly slapped herself, watch the road her mind told her. She parked in front if the animal shelter and turned towards Andrew, "Okay we need a plan. I want to volunteer here but Icant offically due that if your always watching me like a stalker, so think up an excuse."

Andrew looks at her and says, "First, don't worry, I'll be discreet. Second, I won't always be watching you, that would just be wrong, Third and last, I'll just volenteer myself and say that I'm a close friend. Simple enough right?" He gets out of the car and grabs his things from it. Ugh, animals.... I'm going to have to work with mangy muts and furballs till the end of this. He thought, though it didn't show on his face. He just continued with that infernal, eternal half smile. He opened the door of Alex's side of the car and helped her out like a gentleman. (I also plan for this guy to have a violent end btw.)

Alex smiled, "Thank you." She walked around and inside the shelter. She felt the Andrew was giving off a negative vibe or maybe it was her. She looked at the recepitionist and told her that herself and her friend would love to volunteer a the shelter. The receptionist smiled and led them to the back. Alex smiled, she loves animals even though she owuld have to work with Andrew. Something about him rubbed her the wrong way, but she couldn't place it. She smiled to herself, she was going to have somefun with this guy. She swayed her hips back and forth as she walk, getting a rhythm going.

They entered a big kennel where some people were feeding the dogs. The receptionist smiled, "Well here you go kiddies, have fun." and left. Alex "accidently" dropped her purse and bent down to retrieved it. She came back up slowly and smiled hoping he was watching. She went over to one of the caregivers, "HI I'm Alex and my friend behind me is Andrew and we would love to volunteer here, if you don't mind." The guy shook his head no and gave Alex and Andrew a form to fill out.

As it turns out Andrew was watching. But Alex's pranks might eventually have dire consequences for her. Because her action stirred up some REALLY bad thought in Andrew's mind. Oh yaaaah that would be so freakin great to do, he thought. She is just so freaking hot. Which, admitedly Alex was. As always, he didn't let any of these thoughts show on his body and he made sure to keep his thoughts in check. If his thoughts went to far they might become a reality. He smiled to the receptionist as they passed and she smiled back. When he got into the animal kennel he had sort of a moment. He didn't like animals, especially not hurt animals, such as these were. This moment wasn't noticable however and he didn't miss a beat. He filled out his waiver quickly and handed it back to the man.

Alex jumped for joy. After she handed back in her form, one of the caregivers sent her to the puppy kennel, her favorite place. She had to make an exit before she left Andrew to the hands of the other caregivers. She side-eyed the caregivers,all eyes on her. "I'm sorry I have to go Andrew baby but I promise to make it up to you." She touched a finger to his lips as if to silence him. "Well those puppies won't take care of themselves, so toddalo." She waved and was about ot leave wen one of the caregivers spoke up, "Well this isnt mandatory but your boyfriend can help you if he wants." She turned and put on a bright smile, "What do you say, Andrew? Help me with all those puppies or take care of these helpless doggs?" she asked through clenched teeth.

Andrew feels the glares of about five volenteers and his person and is about to say, "I suppose I'll go help the dogs, they need more help" when fate, or rather Dantonio intervenes. The head volenteer gets a phone call and turns quite pale. He says, "Um... well the dogs need more experienced hands. Both of you beginners should go help the puppies." He says this hurriedly and tries to sound normal, though he obviously isn't. The other volenteers look at him strangely but shrug and go about their buisness. "I quess we'll be together then 'sweet thing'." Andrews says through half gritted teeth. He does a mental wipe across his brow.... Thank God for Mr.Dantonio...

Alex glares at Andrew and turns abrudtly and stalks off towards the puppy kennel. Her mind is cursing at her, what the hell just happenedback there Alex, I dont know she thought. Her hands were balled up into fists, she needed to punch something and now.She stood next to the puppy keneel and waited for Andrew.

She say his shadow before she saw him, she turned towards him right when he was in her line of vision. She walked up close to him but stayed a about 3 feet away from him. She then boldy opened her palm and slapped him hard and quick. She looked at him, "Thats what you get when you piss me off. I've never met someone like you who heats up my blood more than you do." she turned and entered the puppy kennel, looking at him rub his cheek through the fence.

Andrew glares evilly at this impudent girl. He hadn't even done anything and she had SLAPPED him! He rubbed it cheek till it stopped stinging and went into the puppy kennel. He sort of liked this fiesty girl. (As it will later be shown in medical records., Andrew's mood swings from time to time with a seemingly random order.) He knelt down next to one of the puppies. It was a brown pug with white splutched around its chest and head. It shied away from him at first then waddled over and curled up against his hand. I say waddled because, in fact, the puppy had lost a leg. (It will also be shown that Andre was actually quite good with animals.) Andrew seemed to practically project joy off himself so much that it was practically tangible.

Alex sat down in the hoard of puppies, letting them play with her and nibble on her fingers. She forgot that Andrew was even there, that she began to talk to them, "You guys are so precious, and cute and fuzzy." She rubbed the tummy of a chow pup. "I would love to take you all home, but you might not like it there since my dad doesn't like pets at all. YOu know he didnt even let me have a goldfish, I was mad about that for a while." She picked up a lab puppy and hugged it, " Thats okay thoug I have you guys and girls." She giggled and began wrestling with the puppies. She turned around and saw Andrew play with a few puppies, she smiled but before he could see it she replaced it with a frown. She picked up a ball and throw it, watching some of the puppies run for it, tripping over others to go get it.

Andrew doesn't notice that she even knows that he's there. He just plays around with a few of the more misfit puppies. He feels drawn to the ones that have serious injuries or the ones that have mental issues. Those at the bottom of the food chain. There is a certain study in the world that says ninety-nine percent of people are drawn to those that they identify with. Maybe said study involves Andrew to a certain level with the puppies. He snuggled one ambitious one with a sigh of hapiness. For once in his life he may have been just a little happy on the inside. The ball rolled around in his direction and he tossed it back, with the horde of puppies following.

Alex thought she saw something on Andrew's face for a moment but it was gone before she could register it. Her cell phone alarm went off, indicatating it was time to go search for a job. Fun fun she thought. She stood up and began walking to the door, "Hey it's time to go." she indicated to Andrew. She hed open the door dor him as he got out and latched it behind her. "Come on, there is a food place we can eat a store or two a way that serves up a great vegan salad." She said good-bye to the caregivers and the receptionist.

Once she was outside she breathed in the air, cooling her frazzled nerves. She thanked her lucky starts that she was a few steps ahead of Andrew, so she could be alone. But that didn't last long as he was right beside her in a minutes. She began to walk towards the restuarant and she let her mind wonder, needing a distraction from the guy behind her.

As it was there was a certain distraction waiting for her... A seemingly harmless old man was walking by with his cane in one hand and a shopingbag in the other. He walked straight into Alex and was gone a second later. Andrew happened to notice that her purse was gone at that moment and made the connection a few seconds later. He began to look around for the old man but to no avail. At least not until he rounded a corner and saw the old man, no seemingly as fit as a tri-atholon running down the street away from him, with the cane under one arm and the purse in the other. Andrew ran after him. In a couple of minutes the oldman took a wrong turn and Andre cornered him in an alley.

Alex turned around and noticed that both Andrew and her purse were gone. She was pissed with capital P. She wanted to scream or something but all she did was walk the way she just came and saw Andrew sprinting down the street chasing some guy. "Great not only am I stuck with an ass all day long but now some guy steals my purse." she said to noone in particular.

Alex ran after them and found them both in a alley way. The man was curled up in the fetal postion while Andrew was kicking him in the gut. She ran over and pulled him away from the guy. "Andrew stop it just what were you thinking? That man could have died or soemthing." She bent dow na nd grabbed her purse and began exiting with Andrew in tow when a heavy set police officer was about to round the alley corner. Alex couln't really think of anything else so she pressed herself up to the dumpser that was in the alley and pull Andrew to her, and smashed her lips to his, her fingers in his hair, hoping to fake out the officer. The officer grinned and left. She stopped kissing Andrew, "That was so close." she said then turned to look at Andrew

((Kicking? Where the hell had that come from?)) In order to explain the kicking you must understand this. The slimy old man had charged at him with his crane to bash him over the head. Andre and dealt with him quickly and kicked him once or twice for good measure. He was a tough old bastard. He even tried to get up again but Andrew held him to the ground with his foot. When the cop came Andrew panicked but thankfully Alex dealt with that. When she kissed him Andrew just about passed out in surprise. To tell the truth he had never kissed a girl but he wasn't about to say so. He stuttered out something along the lines of, "Y-y-yah that was close."

Alex smiled at his stuttering, "You know we may wanna disguise it again, just encase he comes back." She pulled his head down and kissed him gently, every fiber of her being being awakened. She released him and look to the alley entrance, "I think we're safe. Let's go eat." She grabbed him by the hand and dragged him out of there.

Alex couldn't believe she actually done it. She kissed him and it felt like a jolt of eleticaty each time she did. As she walked to the resturant with him in tow she kept thinking about the moment before. The thought of getting caught and then she just pulling him into it. She wanted to do it again and again but now wasn't the time nor place. They entered the resturant and picked a table near back. The waitress took their order and left. Leaving eachother in their thoughts and wordless.

Andrew looks out through the window... He has a bunch on his mind. She kissed me.... what a world. The boss will definetly kill me for this but... He turns to Alex and says, "Um... about earlier.... I'm sorry for doing whatever it was that upset you. I didn't mean to..." He then quickly looks away and continues to think until the food comes. He plows through his food as though he was nervous. He downed is drink with a couple of gulps and wipes his mouth on a napkin. He gets the hiccups... and starts laugh softly at himself before managing to get the hiccups under control.

Rook dismissed himself from the study before the new escort arrived. Looking at his watch he was nearing the end of his shift so making a beeline for his room. Closing the door he takes deep breath.
"Close one Rook you fucking fool. Get your head blown off this close to closing the case." He pops a few mentos before going to his dresser and pulls out his 45 loading a clip he slips it into his shoulder harness and makes his way slowly to the shooting range on the grounds. After showing his ID to the suit on duty her enters and takes up lane 6 and begins unleashing his pin-point marksmenship on the unsuspecting paper target.

Alex laughes at him quittely, " Its okay hun. My temper gets the best of me sometimes. Listen I'm sorry for slapping you. I usually have this policy where I don't slap guys across the face. But I just couldnt help myself." She began to pick at her food, and sipped at her drink, "And listen about the kiss, it...it was a distraction, yeah a distraction." she said trying to convince herself as well as him. She looked at her food, with many thoughts running through her head.

Andrew finishes his food in another couple of minutes. He smiles at Alex and says, "Its okay. I understand that I can be right annoying sometimes." He scratches the back of his head and looks away. "Um... yah the kiss was just a distraction." He practically has to force those words through his teeth. He would love to think there was something more to it even though there more than likely wasn't. "So... um, hat do you have to do next? Unfortunately I still have to follow you around." He says the last part in a joking manner.

Alex smiles and looked down at her sala, wanting more than anythign to feel those lips on hers again. " Um...well there is this movie I want to see, but I've been sorta chicken to see it. Now that I have a strong man I guess I can." she said smiling. She paid for there food and left, watching Andrew follow her.

Se entered the theater and bought the tickets. She bought herself a coke and some candy and waited for Andrew to buy what he wanted. She picked a mid seat and took her place, her eyes watchign every move that Andrew made. She popped a pice of candy into her mouth and chewied slowly waiting for the movie to begin

Andrew doesn't say anything about the strong man comment and follows her into the movie. He buys a small bucket of popcorn. He had an obsession with the stuff but he tried to limit himself. He sat down next to Alex because it only seemed proper. He wondered just how he was going to explain this to Dantonio...

In fact, Dantonio knew the exact explination for what was going on between his daughter and her supposed bodyguard. He was actually glad about it. At least it was better than having her bonehead of a friend as her lover. He felt happy for the first time in days and got himself a tequila.

Alex smiled and almost squeled out loud, she muffled it thank goodness. She didn't know what movie she picked all she knew that it ws scary and that was a good reason to do this little get together. When the open credits revealed a person being hacked up to pieces and screamed for help and jump and grabbed Andrews arm, "I don't like scary movies, I don't like this as all." she said in a mock scared voice. She hid her face in his sleeve hiding her smile.

Andrew vaguely wondered why Alex had picked such a cruddy horror movie, then he wondered why she had picked a horror movie at all if she didn't like them. hose thoughts were quickly wiped out when she grabbed his arm and buried her face in it. He blinked a couple of times and look over at her. Her voice had sounded scared though it wasn't really believable. He smiled hand patted her on the head with his free arm. He still wondered why she had done that though... Once again the thought as wiped out when she pressed closer.

Alex smiled all was going to plan. Sure she had feelings for this man but what would her father day? Would she be banned from seeing him, she wondered. They exited the movie theater, seeing as how the movie was over, and watched couples and families enter the theater hands in hands. ALex immediately shook the thought from her head, sh didn't like the way her brain thought sometimes. Alex pulled out her cell and texted her father, "I'll be home soon. Promise." She shut her phone and placed it back inside her pocket.

On the way home, Alex ignored Andrew loving the side-way glances he kept payign her direction. She parked the car in the garage and bade him fare-well. She ran up to her room, and called down to the butler's quarters, "Bring me the man named Rook, now!"

Andrew sighs when tthe movie ended. It had been as crappy as he suspected. He walked out of the movie theater with Alex and walked to the car. He wondered still why she had chosen that movie, she had practically been clinging to him the whole time. Not that he didn't like it but he was sure that the boss would kill him in eventuality. He got in the car and was silent most of the way back. He glanced at her from time to time, but kept his face straight ahead. He did know that she had noticed and saw her smile. When they got back to Mr. Dantonio's he said a polite goodbye and left the premises.

Rook had finished one of his best shooting excercises he cut the heart out of the target with one clip. He even won a bet set by the other guards to make the tri-force symbol with bullets, he did it with bullest to spare. After collecting his winnings and holstering his weapon he makes his way back to his room noticing his pigeion has returned. Quickening his pace he takes the back door into the house then walks a little quickly to his room. Taking the smalll bird into his room he unrolls the litte note and begins to read it before Roger pounds on his door.
"Come on Rook the Boss's daughter wants to see you stop playing with your gun and get up there." With a sigh he rolls the note into his pocketc and shoos the bird away then walks out.
"Oh what'd I do now?" He asks closing and locking his door. Roger shrugs cracking his knuckles.
"Probably about that fuck-up in her room you're lucky the Boss didn't take you for a long walk off a short pier." Rook sighs rubbing his sore eyes slowly.
"Yeah, yeah I know." With a grunt he walks off to Alex's room going over what the reason for this summons could be. He reaches her door knocking on it lightly.
"Miss Alex how can I be of assitance?"

Alex turned in her chair and smiled, "Rook pleased to make your aquitance again. Please take a seat." she gestured to her bed, "NOw I know this is a little unexpected, since it's usually my father who sends for you but times changed. I want you to do a little digging for me." she raised both brows, " A little information digging, on a certain someone. This new guy, Andrew Something or other, I want to find out all about him. What he does for fun, who hangs out with, and why he is working for my father." She stood and wlaked over to him, "Now if you can get me the information I want, I will pay you handsomely." She laid a big wad of cash on his lap. "Your dismissed." Alex smiled, her head rolling with ideas.

Things happened so fats Rook was more reeling then normal to register it all. First she was ordering him to stalk the guy her father hired to protect her. Then she was dropping a wad of dough into his lap with nothing more then a snuff.
"Uh Miss Alex I'm a butler I wouldn't even know where to begin with this digging. Besides I'd need a picture and his last name to do anything." He places the money back on her bed.

Alex stared at Rook and leaned down and looked him square in the eye, "Honey how dumb do you think I am, seriously? I know what my father does and what type of man he is. I know that your not a butler *air quotes* so your gonna do this little thing for me okay or I will be taking some drastic measures. I don't know what this guy's last name is but I'm sure if you look at the videocameras you will see his face, espiecally if your able to break into a police database, that you can find out who he is. Now take that wad of cash and find out who this miserable guy is before I scream." Alex pointed to the door, "Now out!"

Rook nodded slowly then walked away, biting his tonuge a little.
Well she may not be Dantonio's blood but she definetly got his brains. Shoving the money into his pocket he makes his way back to his room. He shakes his head pulling the note out of his pocket reading it over.

Dantonio was on a collection run. Several of his clients hadn't been paying like usual. he rode his black limo all the way around town, collecting bills. Most of them had simply not had the money at the time and Dantonio understood that and forgave all but the most behind. There were, of course, those who didn't pay up and lied as to why they didn't have the money. The only thing to say for those luckless bastard was that they had hospital bills to pay aswell afterwards. Dantonio came to his last stop. It was a ramshackle building, with the paint peeling and the boards creaking. Dantonio got out from his limo with two thugs, pistols drawn. This was a bad neighborhood, it was known for violence against any type of authority. It was silent... to silent. Dantonio didn't notice and clibed the step and knocked on the door. The man in question opened the door...

Alex stood looking outside her window, staring at the backyard. There was nothign significant back there but when she had many things on her mind, she had to think. She thought about what she was making Rolok do. Sure she felt bad about it but then again she had to find out who this guy is and why was he on her father's pay roll. She turned around and sat on her bed and pulled out her diary. She wrote down what had ahppened that day, especially about the kiss that her and Andrew shared togather. Her lips started to tingle and her fingers touched her lips, her heart was beating a little fast, she couldn't help but smile.
