Introductions:
Not many men have had the honor of marching alongside Ra’Shor. He was praised as a deity nearly as much as Far’Khira himself. The fact that he was going to lead the assault on Talos made those men who were joining him feel honored and blessed.
This was why Ra’Shor was deployed, that and the arid lands of Talos were a much more suitable environment for him than Lake Ilnero.

The troops of Firanos had already breached the borders of Talos, marching through the dry lands. But they had not spotted a trace of their enemy. It made them question whether or not these nomads actually had control over the province.
The only thing the Fieran men could hear was the scurrying of the wild Taeleron, that were quick to hide from a large, marching army.

In the distance, the sound of waves hitting the sand could be heard. A beach was ahead, and that was not something Ra’Shor liked. Throwing a glance to the troops behind him, he kept on marching in utter silence, leaving flaming footprints in the sand.
Reaching the exit of the pass that led to the beach, he gazed upon some old ruins, before turning to his army.

“Heed my voice, warriors of Firanos. Far’Khira has spoken to me. This world must be united in flame. And this will be our first step towards this divine purpose. These nomads think they can hide from us, that they can outrun us. But they forget that fire will spread faster than the eye. We shall set torch their being, and mark these lands for the Blazing Phoenix, for Firanos. Remember that you fight alongside a demigod now. You cannot fail! You shall not fail! The flame of our might burns brightly, and it shall turn those before us to ashes. For Firanos! Purge them with fire!”

With that, Ra’Shor turned to the ruins and proceded forward, with his army following in closely.

Scaravus never relied on solid defences. No, instead, they would let their foes approach them, before locking them in place, like the pincers of a scorpion, and deliver their poisonous strike.
Namar was very adapted to these techniques, favoring them above any other. Talos was a harsh environment, but a perfect one for Scaravian troops. The wasteland had plenty of opportunities for ambushes and pitfalls.

This defense however, had turned into a well-planned organization. Scaravian troops were gathering in the cliffs just past the border with the Scaravian desert, where Namar revealed his plans.

“The plan for this battle is simple. The Fieran troops are already marching in this land. We are going to let them, until we can trap them here.” He gestured to a drawing of a map he just made in the sand, pointing at a beach where an old ruin still stood. He then continued.
“The Fierans are full of themselves, so if we let them march into our land, they will become blinded by the thought they have already won. We will then remind them otherwise.”
He looked around him at his troops. “Assassins and strike teams shall take cover amongst the cliffs, while archers take well-hidden positions. The main bulk of our force shall meet the Fieran army head-on, but before they can get us, we shall jump them from all sides, and dissect them, one by one. Their leader is our primary target. Spare nobody. Any questions?”

His question was met with silence, before he gestured over to the troops to disperse, which they did. The entire Scaravian force scattered, taking up positions in the cliffs, while a large group of swordsmen continued their march down to the beach.
This plan could not fail in Namar’s eyes, so it would not fail when executed either.

Battle Start

When Ra’Shor’s eyes locked upon the Scaravian troops that came forth from a passage leading from the desert, he knew the time had come. “Warriors of the flame! Attack!” His command sounded like an explosion, as Fieran troops rushed forward, spearmen first to a protective barrier, with swordsmen following close behind, and archers preparing to fire in the back.

But Ra’Shor had given in to Namar’s plan. Before the Fieran troops could clash with the Scaravians, assassins and swordsmen leaped out from the cliffs, as archers revealed themselves from higher positions.
Within seconds, the Fieran army was surrounded by the desert warriors. Although the initial surprise claimed many lives, the numerous Fieran force was fast to retaliate, desperately fighting off the ambush. Ra’Shor and Namar had been lost from sight, but a rising heat still secured the demigod’s presence, which fueled the Fieran troops to fight on.

The battle had begun, although this was more a test of endurance than of manpower.

Dammit, Kelsi let me do this or you are going to end up with a knife in your back!!!!

Bloodied bodies of her kinsmen laid around her, some having already breathed their last. Others coughed and gargled. Kelsi shook her head trying to ignore the voice yelling in her mind. Her lips whispered quickly causing a small flame to appear before her. It's flames soothing to her wounded companions. It would take some time but if the flame wasn't put out the wounds would slowly heal.

How had they been taken so foolishly. The ambush had come so suddenly and she could hear the waves amidst the sounds of battle. Had their enemies just been waiting to get them here? Again Kelsi shook her head viciously slipping past a Scaravus blade and piercing her kris into her enemies throat. Although taken by surprise it had seemed many of the Firanos warriors had bounced back and the battle waged forward.

'Warriors of the the great fire, do not give sway. Hold the line and do not let them put out that flame.'

Her voice was shaky at best, amidst all this confusion she had lost sight of her master. She could feel the heat of his presence but desperately wished to be by his side. She recalled an earlier conversation about how he warned her that separating was a very plausible outcome on the field of battle. Oh, how she wished he was wrong. She began to fall back allowing the circle of spearmen and swordsmen take the brunt of the enemies attack. Then it hit her, confusion, of course. The Scaravus thought the new heat living in the deserts but they were not forged in the true flames. She began to chat, her voice becoming more confident, the plan was to execute a heat illusion spell. The Firanos soldiers having a much higher tolerance to the heat would feel little of the effects while Scaravus...well there was no point in speculating. Soon she would see the effect her spell would have on them.

The battle was very fast-paced to say the least. Swift and agile Scaravian warriors and assassins, versus fleet-footed, rapid Fieran soldiers. They almost seemed like an army befitting of one another. As spears and blades clashed repeatingly, it seemed the battle was going towards more of a stalemate after Firanos managed to even out the scales.
However, subtle things were threatening the Fieran forces:
Assassins were dashing in between the clashing troops, digging their blades into the flesh of unprepared soldiers.
They kept their eyes on everything that was happening around them.

As the fighting went on, one assassin was dashing through the enemy ranks, spotting the Fieran girl that seemed to be in the process of preparing a spell. Not wanting to find out what she had planned, the assassins dashed forward, rushing towards his target, before launching a solid fist towards the stomach of the girl, seeking to break her chanting this way.
Had his attack been succesful, then he would be quick to follow up by landing a backhand to the side of Kelsi's head.

Archers had begun taking their positions, as they were readying themselves to began the lethal crossfire.

The two commanders however, were still completely out of sight.

Kesli was in the middle of her incantation when the sly assassin launched his attack, his blow caught her in the stomach causing her to lurch forward and gasp for air. It appeared to be a normal reaction to such a blow but the look in her eyes told a different story. Their expression wasn't that of fear or surprise but rather they held within them a fire and burning. In that brief moment Kelsi had retreated enough that Atma came to the forefront. Always the protector, the one that made sure their body would stay breathing.

The assailants backhand came swiftly but predictably so to the fire mage. Atma had experienced enough combat to know most enemies would follow up on a successful blow. She was only slightly surprised that a warrior such as Scaravus assassin would not be trying to kill her. Perhaps he had already convinced himself that she would be a good prize. Her hand moved in defiance to the thought quickly catching the hand before it reached its mark. The flames in her eyes danced as a thirsty flame licked from her hand burning what she was grabbing. Her left hand reached forward as she pulled the assassin her nails getting ready to clench his throat. In a moment both hands were asunder with vibrant flames.

'You hit the wrong girl.'

The idea was to engulf the assassin's neck and head with the clenching left hand all the while her right hand burned through the hand she had caught. The flames in her hands danced along with the flame in her eyes as she awaited the putrid smell of charred hair and seared flesh to confirm her defense. The smell was never something she really enjoyed or delighted it but it was truly satisfying.

Kelsi, you need to stop over thinking combat. Enemies are not something to grow a conscious over, or worry about, or forgive. They are nothing but fuel!

...that sounds so monstrous. I can't help it that it bothers me to take another life.

Bah...you'll learn. What do you think you were doing trying an incantation like that? There are simpler ways to raise the temperature to invoke a heat illusion spell.

In the milliseconds it took for Atma to have the conversation in her mind several tendrils of flame lashed out from her body not only to pierce her attacker but also setting several dead Scaravus soldiers alight.

The assassin's eyes widened as he felt the omnious heat from the girl engulf his neck and soon his head, before he cried out in horror as he was burned through by the flaming tendril, dying a horrifying painful death.

As the girl also lit some of the dead Scaravians on fire, the heat was visible building in the battle, although this seemed to leave both armies unphased for the moment. Although the Fierans were the true masters of flame, the Scaravians had learned to live in extreme conditions, esspecially heat.

The battle raged on nonetheless, and Ra'Shor was still completely out of sight.

However, Namar made his presence known. He had been stalking the battlefield, and now, he had set his sights on the girl that just slaughtered one of his kin. While dazing around the battlefield, using the fighting, death and even the flames Atma had conjured up as cover, he flung a flask towards the girl, aiming to have it smash to pieces at her feet.
The flask contained a thick substance, which was tinted with a dark blue color. As soon as the liquid emerged from the flash, it would have covered the ground upon which Atma was standing and as the heat from the nearby flames was working its magic, it seemed the substance grew ever more dense and sticky as it heated up, signalling it was about lock Atma's feet in place.
Namar knew he should make use of a good way to use Fieranos' heat against them, and now that decission proved invaluable.

Atma had been completely oblivious to the preying assassin general as he launched his flash of mystery fluid. Utterly defenseless against the oncoming trap it was chance that stayed the hand of helplessness that was pressing toward her. Atma had shifted expectantly and the flask broke with its contents only covering one of her feet.

Atma's response was about as far from ladylike as one could imagine. She cursed loudly and pulled viciously to break free of the now solid substance. She was completely clueless as to its properties or why it had solidified so quickly. As the sweat on her brow began to stream steadily she realized the unpleasant truth. Now stuck in one spot she quickly became slightly worried, her soaked brow furrowing. However all was not lost to the fire mage, she immediately barked out towards the five closest spearmen.

'Spear wielders I request aid. I have been caught by some encasing substance! One of you try to break it was your blade while the other four guard us! I may not be able to move but I'm not useless.'

Lifting her hands she motioned them and whispered beneath the clanging of the battle.
O Blessed Kindle from the Undying Soul
Lend us your fabled strength of yore
Enchant these blades with an everlasting flame
That we may conquer in your name!

When the last word passed through her lips a blue flame danced from Atma to the four spearmen's weapons resting on the blades the flame did not burn their weapon but most certainly burned with an intense heat. Atma breathed a sigh of relief when the formed their guard and fended off attackers as the fifth tried to free her. Despite the increase in temperature in the battlefield it still hadn't reached the point required for her illusion spell.

The substance proved to be incredibly durable, as the spearman was visibly having trouble trying to get Atma free, jabbing and cutting away at the dried up sludge.
The four other spearmen stood ready, fending off any Scaravian who risked it to get too close.

Namar was not afraid of them however. Out of the crowd of the battlefield, a throwing knife dug its way into one of the spearman's throat, who gurgled in a desperate attempt for air, before collapsing. The other men were alerted by this and looked around desperately for the source of the weapon. But it wasn't even two seconds until another knife dug into the side of a spearman's skull, causing him to topple over onto the ground. With only two spearmen left, the one working on freeing Atma was trying to get the substance as soon as possible, but wasn't really making much progress. "It's not working!"
The spearmen couldn't find a single trace of Namar who subtly made his way around the battlefield. He had already invaded Firanos on his own once before, so he knew how their military worked.

Atma's language only became more vulgar as the spearmen fell, their soul's flame being snuffed out by an unseen attacker. Still unable to freely move about the battlefield Atma was becoming desperate. Her magic reflected her emotions more strongly as several fire tendrils burst fourth setting three more Scaravus a blaze. Despite the spearman's best efforts it appeared to do next to nothing. With the heat increasing continually she could now see the heatwaves rising from all over the sands. It was then the thought struck her like a slap from her teacher.

'Maybe it will soften with moisture? I have little water left with me, perhaps the bodies of the dead around us? Go quickly gather what you can, we only need enough that I'm able to pull my leg from the mire!'

The spearman took off hurriedly leaving Atma with the other two. Had she not been trying to increase the heat so dramatically perhaps she never would have been stuck. It was little time for her to question now though as she realized that time may not be in her favor she decided now to invoke the illusion spell. With the heat increasing the illusion would only become stronger she concluded. Her words spat out quickly and a tad slurred, Kelsi was clearly the more precise and held a greater expertise. In this case however it mattered little on form and ritual and more on getting the spell started. In a moment her last word clapped out from her lips signaling that something had definitely changed. Her immobility didn't stop her from trying to formulate a way to make the unknown enemy visible. With a several quick movements she pulled some of the flames from the burning bodies and formed them into runes in the sand. Her movements weren't necessary but she often used them so that her opponents would assume so. Now with three explosive runes laid out in the sand she waited to see who or what would trip them off.

Please Atma, you need to get free!

'You don't think I know that? I can't really do much about it from here. Hopefully that spearman will find something.'

The spearmen that rushed to find water to help out Atma wasn't able to make it far, as a Scaravian assassin's blade dug its way into his spinal cord, severing it.

The two spearmen around Atma were looking almost frightened, before they noticed the runes laying out in the sand. However, Namar was not the only thing to worry about. Scaravian swordsmen came rushing out, some of them triggering the runes, causing them to blown away along with some of their brethren.
However, as temperature was still rising, the substance keeping Atma trapped had grown so solid, that it seemed to be cracking. None of the spearmen noticed this yet as they focused on keeping the Scaravians off of them.

Namar himself was still nowhere in sight, but as another rune exploded, he came dashing out of the smoke at insane speed, twin daggers at the ready as he leaped in between Atma and one of the spearmen, his eyes locking onto hers for a moment, before he rolled over the sand and dashed away once more.
However, what he had left was a small clay jar with a burning fuse attached to it. The jar had a corrosive smell, but neither of the spearmen seemed able to notice this, as they tried to keep Scaravian swordsmen at bay.

Would none of them respond in time, the clay jar would burst open, spraying an acidic and poisonous substance. A more lethal, modified version of the poison of the Taeloron.

Ra'Shor himself in the meantime began to show up once more, walking up onto one of the cliffs overlooking the battle, his burning eyes gazing down at the onslaught, his fists flaming as he seemed to be looking for something.

Atma use your eyes! It's cracking!!!

It was Kelsi who quickly bent over and grabbed a spearmen's blade and began smashing the substance around her foot. Vigorously she stabbed and pried, with the pieces that chipped off getting slightly bigger with each strike. The effort it was taking had caused her to pause for a brief repose only to lock eyes with the Scaravus general. As he quickly vanished amongst the throng Kelsi's rather innocent gaze settled on the clay pot and the fuse. Fear was the emotion that produced action, scared of what its contents could be she screamed out to warn her comrades.

The spear seemed to strike with new conviction freeing her foot from its strange tomb. She began running away from the pot when it went off. The sound was small and seemed to be swallowed by the rest of the battle but Kelsi felt it more than she heard it. Her lower left side was splashed by the corrosive contents as it ate through her close to her skin. Her body shook and she wobbled only to find a Scaravus assassin take his opportunity. Had it not been for Atma's reappearance it would have marked her end. The assassin's dagger stuck through her right hand as the assailant tried to push the dagger the rest of the way to Atma's throat. In some twisted sense of favor Atma managed to use her own Kris and stab the assassin through the ear into her head. The Burner lapped up what little latent magical ability the female attacker had as her eyes rolled up into her head and she collapsed to the ground. The dead body was too heavy for the Flame Eater to hold up and the dagger ripped through her hand on the way out.

Kelsi held the bloodied hand and tried to wipe the sweat from her forehead with it. Her vision blurred and her stomach turned. Amidst the fighting going on around her she managed to get to her feet and she attempted to make her way back to the healing flame she had set up earlier. Hopefully it would be enough to combat whatever it was that had burst from that jar.

Namar was once more gone in the masses, though his presence was obvious as a few warriors fell to seemingly nothing.
Namar had his sights set on his prey however, dashing through the warriors at blinding speed as he suddenly rushed in front of Kelsi, remaining crouched as he simply passed her, but while doing, sought to slice his shiv along the girl's right leg, seeking to disable her movement. Right after the attack, he was already gone in the masses, before dashing out once more, this time behind Kelsi, seeking to strike her in a random location to ground her even further.

Ra'Shor's eyes locked on all the burning corpses, a smirk settling on his face as he raised his hands.
"Far'Khira al'terio. Kha'sara ni ohr rao. Shi'uh devah na raka'bra, har'sha!"
Ra'Shor turned into a true living inferno, his humanoid shape gone as he became a whirling pillar of flame, the corpses Atma had lit ablaze turned into similar hurricane of flame and ash. Ra'Shor was channeling his power into the flaming corpses to turn them into lethal fire hazards. Both Fieran and Scaravian avoided this at all costs, but it was obvious that the Scaravian troops were suffering the most under this intense heat.

Kelsi was only feet away from the warmth of the healing flame when he right leg gave out beneath her. She looked to see a fresh wound and screamed as many emotions flooded her mind. With the crashing waves of emotion came Atma who spat out to the ground. The effects of the poison taking its toll much too quickly. She had just managed to rip off some cloth and wrap it around her leg when a sharp pain sent her sprawling back to the dusty sands. Having absorbed much of the heat the sensation caused her to roll over quickly to see who stabbed her. The wound felt like it was in her upper back but she couldn't be sure.

Atma's glaring gaze settled on the Scaravus general with her emotions and pain running wildly beyond her control. Her instincts reacted quickly as her hand clutching The Burner ignited and the kris slowly began to misshapen. The flames fueled by her unstable state burned violently and she quickly threw the now flaming dagger straight at the silent killer. Clouded by emotion her eyes were like an animals, now set on only surviving. She thought nothing of strategy and wasn't even able to gauge if the small inferno around her weapon would melt the enchanted blade before it met its mark. Perhaps if the weapon struck true either as a solid or liquid it would drain what little mana the general's essence held within it.

The frenzied girl slowly tried to back away towards the healing flame, unable to grasp exactly what was drawing her to it now. However her body yearned for its warmth instinctively.

Namar never stood still long enough, as by the time Atma turned to face him, he was already gone once again, dashing through the chaos of the battlefield, before he suddenly made his presence known, by slicing the throat of a Fieran spearman and shoving the corpse towards Atma, hoping it would drop onto her and keep her from reaching the healing flame she so desired.
Right after this, the assassin vanished once more.

Ra'Shor grinned, gazing down at the battlefield, until he finally found what he was looking for.
He saw the wounded girl being assaulted by something too fast for the human eye. Sadly enough for Namar, Ra'Shor was anything by human.
The flaming demigod leapt off of the cliff, launching barrages of fire to strike down Scaravian assassins around the battlefield, before smashing down onto the soil with a fiery blast, his eyes now locking on Atma. She was his key to getting this fool, as the flaming beast rushed forward, although slowed by the numerous soldiers in his path.

The Flame Eater managed to pull her legs up as she continued to pull herself backward, seeing the body of the spearman hit the ground with his armor clanging. A small crimson pool inched its way from his throat out onto the sand growing. The sudden outburst of movement caused Atma to wince but she could now feel the healing warmth radiating from the flame.

U'naan, I remember him. He use to try to make small talk with us Atma. Now he is there snuffed out, his essence pouring out onto foreign soil. He was young....I think he use to talk about his kid sister.....Atma?

It was useless now, Kelsi would have better luck talking to a wall. Atma was lost to the instinct to survive. The healing flame's effect was slow but was enough that Atma was able to force herself back on her feet. Cautiously she looked about but was unable to spot the vanishing general, so she continued to back towards the flame. The closer she got the stronger its healing touch, her vision was slowly coming back into focus. She searched for something around her feet, a weapon she could pick up but everything was too big for her form and seemingly none of the Scaravus daggers were about.

With the clarity of her vision came clarity of mind, and Atma began trying to formulate a defense. Not being able to put much weight on her leg she favored it as she looked around. The field was burning intensely with the aid of her teacher as the flaming cyclones continued to ignite those foolish to get close. Her hand quickly clutching the pendant over her heart beneath her clothes. If she could focus perhaps she could drain some of the magical essence from her master's traps to recover her own spent mana. Her eyes got heavy with the concentration and desperately wanted to close them to help her concentration but she refused fearing such a thing would quickly result in her demise.

Namar didn't stay hidden for long however, as he dashed out of hiding once more and this time sought to dropkick Atma in the back, trying to knock her down again. Wether his attack had failed or not, he would land down on the ground again and rapidly push himself up, before taking on a defensive pose, finally staying put for a moment as he gazed at the girl. "Fieran girls should get out and go run off with their precious princes, like they always do." His voice was burning with hate as he spat out those words.
This could explain why he was focusing on Atma.

Namar wasn't alone, though, as soon Ra'Shor came into sight, roaring out as he blasted two orbs of flame towards Namar, making the assassin vanish in the following explosion of the fumes produced by it. Namar was gone by the time the smoke cleared, but Ra'Shor was now standing by Atma, empowering the effect of the healing flame.
"Shadows must be feared, but the light of our fire can snuff them out. He is but a mortal, girl."

Atma felt the continually warmth of the flame but once again the assassin general was gone. She wearily held her guard before the force caught her in the back and dropped her to her knees, the pain caused her to arch her back and gasp. Unsure what would come next small flames began to light on her body, if the Scaravus general was going to attack she was going to make sure he would feel the repercussions. However, the attack never came instead he spat out words viciously at her.

"Fieran girls should get out and go run off with their precious princes, like they always do."

The next thing Atma realized as she grew puzzled by the words was Ra'Shor stood over her and increased the healing flames effects. Soon other wounded soldiers began rising back up ready to attack once again. As her teacher spoke it was Kelsi who came to the forefront and answered.

'Shadows don't always need to be destroyed by the light, sometimes the can be twisted and changed....manipulated even.'

The Scaravus general's words held within it something useful, Kelsi knew it. Her mind focused on trying to dissect the rage filled speech from the enemy. Like whispers blowing in the hot desert the truth burned into her mind like a flame.

There is only one Fieran girl who has ever ran off with a prince! Atma he is speaking of the princess isn't he? Why? I do not know, but I have an idea. Resorting to trickery are we? I suppose so.

Chanting Kelsi began to draw from the heat of her teacher and the flaming cyclones concentrating it heavily creating to illusions: The first was an image of herself standing by her master, while the second wrapped itself around her instantly changing her form to that of the traitor princess: Peluya.

Ra'Shor held little regard for Kelsi's words as he was letting his eyes roll over the battlefield to try and find the shady general.
Some of the Fieran troops around Kelsi blinked a bit in confusion as they saw the girl take on the image of the infamous traitor-princess. But soon focused on the important thing again: staying alive against the Scaravian assassins.

Whatever Kelsi's plan was, it did have an effect, for as Namar was dashing around, his eyes widened when they locked onto Peluya's image, pulling a quick halt. "Pe-.... Peluya...?" He ushered quietly to himself, letting his guard drop as he was mesmerized by the princess' appearance.

Ra'Shor saw this however, and as soon as he realized Namar was weak, he rushed towards the Scaravian man, snarling as he sought to grasp the man by the throat, squeezing down on it with his burning hand as he lifted him up.

Namar was taken by surprise and gasped out in shock, looking down at the Fieran elemental general.

"Letting your guard down? I will make sure your ashes fly back into the desert you came from."

Ra'Shor let fire energies gather in the palm of his hand, preparing to execute Namar on the spot.

Atma was overjoyed by seeing Kelsi's ploy work, cheering loudly in the back of her mind. Kelsi however stood in the guise of the princess even more puzzled. Why? Why did the traitorous princess have such an effect on the Scaravus general? Between Kelsi's emotional state having been broken and her curiosity she tried to call out to her master and the opposing general. However her words were lost as the two armies clashed ever harder against each other the scene before them now coming into the light.

Weaponless she used the last of her magical essence to light herself ablaze taking on the form of living flame. The illusions being swallowed by the devouring fire. She swept through the ranks of Scaravus soldiers leaving behind her a charred path. When she emerged before Ra'Shor she collapsed under the strain the transformation had taken. She looked up to the deity clutching the assassin and weakly asked.

'Why? Who was the princess to you?'

Atma cared little for the question and condescendingly made it aware that such trivial things meant little to their master. He was an impossibly hard to sway or convince when his mind was set on something. Kelsi however strained her ears to see what the Scaravus general would say, if he was given the chance to speak.

Just as Ra'Shor was about to deal the finishing blow, Kelsi stood in between him and the Scaravian general. As she collapsed onto the ground, Ra'Shor gazed down at her, before summoning flaming bindings onto Namar's wrists and ankles. It was not his habit to leave survivors, but it seemed his pupil knew what to do with him.
Instead, Ra'Shor turned to secure this victory for Firanos, roaring out in flame as he rushed into the battle to continue what Kelsi started.

Namar's eyes slowly gazed up at Kelsi, but before he could speak, the intense heat in the area became too much for him as he passed out, now laying unconscious on the ground.
As warriors rushed past the Fieran girl and Scaravian general, it was obvious they left his fate in her hands.

Finish him now Kelsi, think of all our brothers that were slain by his blade. End him....
Doesn't his words make you curious at all...and the hatred behind them? His hate for the princess, he knows something.
Stop being so pathetic, we both know you've always been jealous of the Princess who had a family then chose to run from it. She squandered the gift she had and you hate that. That is all this is about...now finish him for the glory of our King.
No!

It was obvious that the Flame Eater was struggling, her hand reached to her side grabbing a stray dagger only to drop it into her lap. She shook her head violently as her two personalities fought and argued with each other. Eventually the blade was picked up again and she moved herself over the the unconscious general. She raised the blade and clutched it with both hands it's tip pointed over the confined man's heart.

'NO!'

She screamed out standing up and dropping the blade. She called over a few soldiers and explained to them what needed to be done.

'This man is now a prisoner of Firanos, he will be interrogated for information concerning the traitorous princess Peluya. See to it no Scaravus assassins kill him before he is able to be questioned. See that he is held in a secure location and his exhaustion is treated, I will see to it that he gives up what he knows before his fate is decided....understood?'

The three men nodded before picking up the unconscious body. Kelsi turned back to the battlefield and watched her master perform, as her eyes followed the Firanos general a whisper kept eating away at her. Her face slowly turning from a smile to a scowl. Kelsi you just made a terrible mistake.....

As Namar was taken away, Ra'Shor held nothing back.
The sun itself seemed to burn even brighter as the temperatures of the area were rising rapidly. Even Fieran soldiers began to feel the heat become something too much, causing the flames dotted the area to burn even more furious.
Eventually, the demigod let a smirk creep onto his face, before he dashed over the battlefield, in the shape of a frightened heatwave, washing over the troops, sparing the Fierans, but scorching the Scaravians alive.
Those who were lucky enough to survive turned tail and ran.

The battle was for Firanos, but it took a moment for the troops to realize this. Until suddenly:
"We won!" A single soldier cried out, and as he did, the remaining Fieran forces began cheering and calling out to their Meragaia.
Ra'Shor simply gazed at the pass leading to the desert, through which the Scaravians escaped.

Kelsi sat tending the healing flame as Fieran soldiers brought the wounded to its soothing touch. She smiled as she heard the chatter of the soldiers: how Ra'Shor utterly wiped out the opposition, how he was a true testament to the ever burning flame of Far’Khira. Even the whispers of the Scaravus general that was captured, and some said they saw the traitorous princess. The Flame Eater gracefully made her way about helping those she could when she was stopped in her tracks.

You really think you've done something good, don't you?
Atma why must we argue...let us enjoy the victory.
Enjoy? You let the enemy live!! And only because you 'think' that he may know something! He killed so many of us. What does he get? No punishment, there has been no vindication. You let him go, and now you're naive enough to think he won't even try to escape. You are so stupid, you actually believe he'll just want to talk?!
Stupid stupid girl, you should have let me end him....
Ugh, SHUT UP!

Several glances caught Kelsi's and she realized she had just shouted amidst the ailing warriors. With a heavy sigh she finished her duty and began to make her way to where the new prisoner was being kept. After all Ra'Shor had given her some time before they would discuss the battle.
