DEATH
Every battle is a deathmatch.

You put your hero out there and risk his head(Spongebob killing the crap out of superman, fuck yeah!)

On the final battle post the judges finish off the RP as they do in regular arena battles. Only since this is a death match they will be doing the killing. I recommend putting down a list of fatalities for the judges to look at but the judges can make up their own.
(Sponge bob using using Patrick as a ninja star and splitting superman in two!)

What happens when your character dies is that your characters are put into suspended animation.
For either 5 Rounds of any battle they are a part of or five full battles or for 14 days.
If you're lost. Think of a soccer player getting a red card.

(Makes you want to reconsider doing a five one five battle doesn’t it?)

When those days(rounds) are up you carry on as though nothing happened, alternatively they can carry on with the memory of their part battles.

I still need to discuss character loaning and scoring with the council.

Another way of thinking of Death in smut is a form of legal gambling.

You take a chance with your character, you put him or her out there to fight and when you lose, you lose the oppotunity to fight with that character(instead of losing them all together)

The Death list

What is the Death List?

Why does it matter to you.

The death list is the one thing all fighters will have in common at some point eventually. Because at some point you will lose a game. At some point one of your characters will end up dead.

remember no matter who your character is no matter how powerful or amazing they are in their own individual games they all fall under the same fundamental low.

IF THE JUDGES DEEM THEM LOSERS THEY WILL DIE.

If a judge writes that your character whether they be from (Darksiders or superman) gets a kidney punch which explodes and then turns they blood to milk and then kills them then I'm very sorry but your character dies like that.

If you want you can add, at the bottom of all your character sheets, the special lore needed to kill your character, but remember a judge can still kill your character how ever he/she deems most appropriate.

Now the core idea in SMUT is that in the end of all battles there is only allowed be one survivor.
That's pretty much the idea behind a deathmatch.

As fighters SMUT allows you to do pretty much do what you feel is right to the best of your ability.

But there's one idea we feel should be running through your mind.

The rules and guidelines.

The one in particular being your post count.

And the other being that this is a deathmatch until the final post where the judge decides the outcome.

Many of you may feel certain things during the battle, things that make you want to go against the rules of the game. It's why we ask that you pay close attention to the type of battle your going to have before the battle even begins so you can keep flowing well.

We ask that you do not try to force the outcome of a deathmatch.

Like making both characters part ways early or simply become friends or something along those lines otherwise the judge is put in the uncomfortable situation of forcing a situation where he/she has to murder your characters(and if you're the type of player who lets their characters keep track of their memories that will suck).

We are not saying how to post, simply keep in mind that the game is still a death match.

Death Vs Susan

Now you do get naturally soft-core characters. The nice guys.

The fact that they are nice and cute does not separate them from the rules, this is still a deathmatch.

If you feel you have a character who would not be able to fight in a deathmatch and kill another character then:

DO NOT USE THEM

Put them up as a free agent

Or

If they have never been in a battle then simply tell one of the proud council members.(Jacogos is the man to look for) and then change your character.

Rather get rid of your character instead of putting yourself in a situation where you don't know how to enter them into a fight without losing Susan.

Surviving

But every now and then you get a situation

Now the core idea in SMUT is that in the end of all battles there is only allowed be one survivor.
That's pretty much the idea behind a deathmatch.

The basic idea is that the survivor is healed, recovered and set up for their next big battle.

But as I have discussed before it is up to you how you run your characters and how they go through this process.

It is entirely legal to allow your characters to keep all memory of past battles.
It is entirely legal for characters to form relationships of support or hatred between each other.
It is also legal to erase their memories after each battle.

All is legal, on the one condition.

THEY STILL TRY TO KILL EACH OTHER.

This is a very important rule as it effects the very core idea of SMUT, that it is a DEATHMATCH.

Exception that proves the rule

http://www.soundonsight.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/mexican-standoff-photo.jpg

Every now and then there will be rare cases, cases where a judge will rule that both characters have survived or that both characters have died.

This is of course, entirely in the judge's power.

This can happen from a multitue of reasons.

Perhaps it really was the perfect battle?
Perhaps it simply suited the situation as previous plays have given themselves fatal injuries and the judge is simply following through.

When a death occurs in the ruling it is not a law that the winner is the one who survives the fight(though it is and fucking should be the general case XD)

Try to remember that in SMUT one of the core principles is that SMUT is a continuously running writing contest.

POWER is the statistic that most impacts this result, perhaps your POWER was low but your SUSAN and FLOW were what won you that game, then there's a chance the end result may not end up the way general battles are supposed to turn out.
