"Young man, do you want me to talk to your parents?"

"Damned goth kid, bringing that Rock crap into our town."

"Who are you to think that God is not the superior being!?"

I'm tired of it all... Grey thought angrily, punching his locker in anger. He hated the way his uniform itched at his skin (Which he's sure is no coincidence). He pulled on the front of the shirt to allow his skin to breathe some air.

"Young man, if you're..." The man's words were caught in his throat as Grey turned and glared at him. "I'm not taking the damn shirt off..." He says in complete malice. The administrator gulped audibly, and didn't even say anything about the cursing as he left.

Grey sighed again, for probably the thirteenth time that day. He pulled his 'Edited' history book. Any look into it would have something about God written into every lesson.

After his mentla bashing of the town, he begins walking to his last class of the day.

Tawny arrived early to eighth period, as usual, and claimed her seat in the rear of the classroom. It had only been a week since the school switched to the winter uniform with the thick blazers, vests for boys, and wool stockings for girls but everyone knew it was still too hot for them. Tawny was tempted to loosen her tie and unfasten the first few buttons of her shirt but she knew the others would chastise her for it. So she suffered in silence as usual. Looks like as I get older the trips to the lake get closer together and more frequent, she thought as the rest of the class slowly filtered in from the halls, I'm sure as hell gonna need one today.

The bell rang. Groaning came from Grey's throat as he thought about the detention he was going to get.

An hour of having psychological warfare with a weak-minded teacher...But I think they've already stopped that since it didin't work. Maybe they'll just stop bothering me. He thought sarcastically, knowing that the people would not.

He entered his classroom, and the teacher looked up, glaring. "Mister Jasto...I expect to see you in Saturday detention..." He said.

Grey glared right back, before going to the seat closest to the window in the back row. Everyone opened their textbooks, going to whatever page they were on. The teacher cleared his throat, and Grey looked up. "What?" The teacher glared once more, saying "Unless you want to be suspended again, I would suggest opening your book."

Grey sighed. Being suspended was worse than this, because they packed three weeks of work into one suspension week. He snuck a glance at some kid's book, and turned to the same page as him.

The teacher then began to talk about the Civil War. He talked about how God allowed the north to win because they were faithful to his cause. Grey simply blocked the man's voice out, and began to stare out the window

Tawny was acutely aware of the boy who had come in late and sat to her left. She had always had a strange noticing of him since he moved to Meadow Ridge, noticing he was different. Special even? She longed to talk to him but her fears kept her silent, as usual. She sighed and sunk slightly in her chair, staring blankly at her textbook. All photographs and paintings of anything "inappropriate for youngsters' eyes" had been covered with masking tape which angered Tawny among the many other things in this town that brought her to the lake for a good vent and smoke. So there wasn't much else to do but stare blankly. Tawny absently twirled a lock of bronze colored hair around her index finger, silently begging the clock to move faster. Looks like another trip is definitely in order, she thought, I'll do my homework there so my folks won't worry. I fucking hate this place.

Grey had somehow managed to fall asleep during the rantings of God and Jesus. He dreamt of his home. His True home. The images of his father clouded his mind. He wanted to feel sorry and agonized over his father's death. But no depressing feelings came to him. He couldn't feel for a man who killed himself.

The bell rang, waking him from his sleep. Grey stood, slamming his book shut, and speeding out of the room, jamming a headset unto his ears.

Home! Home! This house is not a
Home! Home! This house is not a
Home!...

The voice of Adam Gontier made him smirk evilly, and as he left the school grounds, he felt glares upon him. Grey soon hopped into his black Lexus IS300 that he got in the will of his father's death. He turned his CD Player off, and turned his stereo on, with the Bass turned all the way up.

By the time you come home, I'm already Stone!
You turn off the TV, and you Scream at ME!

Levias smiled for once, and began to drive away from the town, towards where his job is.

Tawny left immediately as the bell rang, marking her partial freedom. She walked quickly to her locker and then outside, inhaling the sweet, clean air and wishing it was filled with the exhaust from a Newport. She clutched the Bic lighter in her bag tightly as she started walking to the lake, her throat starting to itch with the withdrawal of her addiction. Speaking of addictions, I need to catch up on Bible Black, she thought, her mind wandering to the brutally graphic hentai series.
Once far enough away from the school, Tawny placed a cancer stick in her mouth and lit up, feeling a cursory relief from the day's stress.
"Fuck yeah," she breathed. And now for an intermission.

Grey bobbed his head to the sound of pure rock as he drove out of his dreadful town, and began to move towards the city. He smiled softly. "Where I belong..." He said to himself, before his smile turned back into his normal angry scowl. "I can't believe Mom had to go and fucking sleep with John..." He growled out, thinking about the time when his mother told him that she was pregnant.

No matter how much he loved his sister, he hated his step-father. "Damn him...Trying to take my music AND my guitar..." He said, before realizing he was talking to himself, and smirking. "I must have finally lost it..." He said once more, before chuckling and finishing his drive to the music store he worked at.

---

Grey smiled as he watched the last of his students walk away with his mother. He nodded to the manager as he walked out of the building, looking at the sun just over the horizon. Sighing, he placed his guitar into the back of his Lexus, and began the drive back to Meadow Ridge.

Grey sang to the song's Chop Seuy, Feel like I do, Waking the Demon, and Pain on the way back to his own personal hell. As he entered the town, he decided that today would probably be a good day to stay at the lake, doing his homework to metal/rock songs, and practicing his guitar skills.

Pulling up to the lake, he turned his car off, then back on to where there was only elecricity running. He pulled his books out of the back, and sat on the hood of the car as his music blared around the lake.

Tawny took a long drag on her cigarette, her hair freshly soaked from dunking her head into the lake to scream. She leaned against a tree as she smoked, gradually calming down from the frustration that had built up inside her all day. She was just beginning to relax when she heard a car pull up to the lake not fifty feet away from her. Peering around the edge of her tree, Tawny saw that it was the boy from her class, the different one.
"Well, fuck me sideways," she mumbled, tossing the butt to the ground and stepping on it on her approach of the boy. She strode up confidently though she was nervous about what kind of impression she'd give off. But maybe ten feet away she chickened out and ducked behind a tree, hoping he hadn't noticed the shifting of gravel as she jumped back. What the hell is wrong with me?

Levias

Grey stopped, hearing gravel shuffle about slightly. He looked up, and flicked his eyes around in a way he had trained himself to when he fought. He noticed every little detail around him.

Sparkles of dew flashed slightly as the setting sun reflected off of them. He almost put it off, but then remembered. 'It didn't rain today...' He jumped up quickly, readying his small knife in case someone was after him.

With the knife hidden in her hand, he positioned himself low, looking around, and noticing a bag about thirty feet away. He slowly crept towards it, before hearing breathing. He stopped, and tracked the source of the sounds.

Within the next second or so, he jumped through the bush, grabbing his 'stalker' around the stomach, and almost pulled the knife out.

His eyes widened. "Shit..." He said, but still didnt let go. "What the fuck are you doing here? Did your friends dare you to see if I perform satanic rituals here? Well screw off, I get enough shit from the adults." He said, letting go finally, and simply walking away, ready to pack his stuff up and go find another spot to be on his own.

"Dammit, after I finally find a good place to be alone, some person just has to fucking ruin it..." He grumbles as he packs his books and guitar into his trunk, slamming it shut

Tawny cried out in surprise as she was grabbed around the waist and could do no more but stare at Grey for as long as he spoke. Her green eyes were wide but she wasn't afraid. When the boy started walking away she straightened up, leaning on the tree for balance. She mustered up her courage and strode after him, tossing her wet hair off her shoulders.
"Just a little FYI, kid, I haven't got any friends," she snapped, "I'm just as surprised to find someone in my lake spot as you are so don't fucking lump me in with someone who gives a damn what you do in your spare time!" Whoa, she thought, That felt pretty good.

Levias
05-05-2010, 09:51 PM
Levias stopped at his driver seat. He looked up at her, surprised. A gentle breeze ran through the air, tossling his hair slightly.

"No friends?" he asked, surprised at this. Everyone in this town seemed so closely knit together; like a giant knot. He leaned against his car, taken aback slightly by her cursing. "You know, you're the first person in this god-worshipping town who's said fuck besides me." He commented, before standing. "All right, so I won't tell you're here if you won't rat me out either." He said, going to the back of his car, and popping the trunk open once more, pulling his guitar out, and slamming it shut once more.

Tawny folded her arms tightly across her chest.
"Why the hell would I tell anyone you're here?" she asked bitingly, "Then they'd find out I'm here too and there goes my smoke spot." Speaking of which...Tawny then remembered all her stuff, including her cigarettes, were back where she left them when Grey had pulled up.
"Shit," she mumbled, "I'll be right back." She ran off to get her bag wondering why she had such an obligation to tell him where she was going and actually come back.
When she did come back, smoldering cigarette between her lips and bag on her shoulder, she threw her back up against a tree and said,
"So, bet you're glad to find another misfit, huh? Fun knowin' you're not the only freak in town, innit?" She pulled the cigarette away from her mouth for a moment to exhale a cloud of smoke and to discard the ash buildup. "Man, I haven't talked this much to a person in..." Tawny tried counting on her fingers. "...ever, I guess."

Levias
05-07-2010, 12:23 AM
Levias raised a brow as he watched her leave, and when she came back with a cigarette in her mouth he nearly fell over and off of his hood. "I'm sort of qondering how you got one of those. But I'll ignore it." He commented, turning back to his guitar.

"I don't know, you sort of seem normal to me, except for smoking and not reporting me to the authorities." He said bluntly. He shook his head. "I don't think I'm a misfit. I'm misunderstood. I could say the same about you, but I don't know you well enough. And that surprises me. You seem like a kind girl. Besides nearly stalking me." He said, smirking at the end.

Pyro
05-07-2010, 01:14 AM
Tawny made a face at his last statement.
"The fuck are you talkin' about?" she mumbled, her cigarette back in her mouth, "If you haven't noticed, I'm not accustomed to human interaction." She tilted her head back against the tree and stared up at the high branches. "As for me being normal? If you and I are normal then what the hell are we doing here?" The last question was rhetorical but Tawny glanced at Grey as if she expected an answer.

Levias
05-07-2010, 02:44 PM
Levias laid back onto his hood, looking up at the darkening sky. "What is normal? It's simply a stereotype. No one is normal. Most people are unique, but are afraid to show it, and are essentially forced into the normal stereotype that everyone else is in, so that they don't lose friends or a lover." He explained, plucking random notes from his guitar.

"I really haven't paid attention to you before now...So I didn't know that" He explained

Pyro

For whatever reason she couldn't figure out, Tawny blushed. She had paid quite a bit of attention to the new boy in the time he had been here, mostly because he was a novelty and most of all different. It wasn't surprising he hadn't noticed her before but still she felt shy about it.
It had started to get dark out and Tawny knew what kind of trouble she'd be in if she stayed out late. She dropped her half and inch of a cigarette butt to the ground and stomped it out.
"I should go," she said, checking her watch for the time (which was 7: 32), "I might be 'normal' but my parents aren't." On her way to the street she turned back for a moment to say, "It was nice to finally talk to you. You're not crazy...like the rest of this place."

Levias
05-09-2010, 02:00 AM
Grey looked up as she was leaving. "You want a ride to your place? Or near it? I'm sure your parents don't want to see the Satanic offspring near their daughter, so how about I take you to some corner a bit closer than here?" He offered, standing up and walking to his trunk, putting the guitar gently into it, and walking back to the driver's seat. "It's your choice."

Pyro
05-09-2010, 02:17 AM
Tawny smiled and walked back to the car.
"Sure. Thanks." She hopped into the passenger seat and set her bag between her feet on the floor. Who knew? she thought, nibbling at her thumbnail, A week ago...no, a day ago who wouldn't guessed he'd be giving me a lift home? The thought made her want to smile but she suppressed it.
"I'm on Fairfax Lane," she said to Grey, "You can just drop me at the corner."

Levias
05-09-2010, 03:00 AM
Levias shrugged it off, and started the car, the music stopping for a moment, and continuing afterwards. Currently, the song 'Better than me' by Hinder was starting.

He drove through the town, street lamps shining through his tinted windows, flashing over his face as he watched the road, even though no one was even on the streets.

Stopping at the correct corner, he nodded at her. "See you around..." He said, waving a peace sign at her.

Pyro

Tawny smiled back at him and gave a wave as she exited the car.
"Thanks again," she said and started down the street. The street lamps were on already and for once she didn't mind their glare. She stepped casually around cracks in the sidewalk humming softly to herself. Today was a good day in the end, she thought.

Levias
05-24-2010, 10:44 PM
Grey nodded, and closed his window, turning the volume up and pressing onto the gas pedal. He felt himself relax, something he hadn't done since he had come to this completely stereotypical town.

His lips turned slightly up at the though of not being alone for the rest of his life here in this town. At least someone agreed with him on certain things.

Then his cell phone buzzed in his pocket. He frowned, thinking it would be his mother. He looked at it, and his eyes widened. He drove into his driveway, and answered the call.

"Levias?"

Grey sighed. Levias was his street-fighting name. From back in Chicago.

"Yea Steele, what is it?" He asked, his eyes sparking with hope and excitement. He could finally get out of here.

"We got a match going on with no substitutions. You in?"

Levias looked at his step-father who resided on the porch in front of the house, tapping his foot impatiently.

"Of Course...Just make sure they wait..."

"Heh. Don't worry, their still in the prelims." The voice said, sounding oddly smug.

"All right, I'll be there in an hour..." He said, before flipping his gear into Reverse, and slamming on the gas, pulling out quickly, and heading towards Chicago, with his step-father yelling behind him.

Tawny spritzed her neck and torso with perfume from her bag before entering her house that was identical to every other house on the block, ranch style, white, boring.
"I'm home," she announced, kicking off her shoes and going straight to her room, "I did my homework already." She didn't wait for a reply and quickly shut her door. Sighing, she dropped her bag on the floor and turned her computer on. Her internet pornography fix was overdue and she needed a hit of hentai.
"Which episode am I on...?" she muttered to herself absently, clicking on Bible Black, "Ah, number three." She sat back in her chair with her headphones and watched as the perverted (and sick) cartoons played out on the monitor.
"Fun," she said, half thinking sarcastically of the twisted plot and half thinking of her interesting encounter this afternoon. Should we talk in school? Nah, not a good idea. Just the lake. She nodded in agreement with herself.

When 'Levias' arrived in Chicago, it was thirty minutes before midnight. He smirked, pulling his hood up and over his head, shadowing his eyes. He wrapped his hands with medical tape, punching them into each other to make sure it would work. He nodded, and exited his car.

Steele stood waiting for him, also hiding in the shadows of his own clothing. Levias smirked and bumped fists with the guy, who was a couple years Grey's senior. "Nice to see you again man. Glad to see you're not wearing church clothes." Grey growled at this.

"Good, you still have some spirit. Don't worry, you'll get a cut of the pay." He said, smirking at 'Levias' once more. Grey let out a breath, and his Fighting persona 'activated', per se.

His eyes were blank, betraying no emotion and showing no weakness. "Let's go..."

-~-~

"And now, we have a very special treat for you all tonight! Former champion Levias is in the House! Give it up for our returning Champion!" The announcer yelled as Levias entered the circular arena. He nodded to all of them, but said nothing. He had his black trench coat on with black baggy pants and no shirt beneath his open coat. His shoes were off and his feet were wrapped around the middle with the same tape he had on his hands.

His opponent came in, and was booed by som of Grey's fanatic fans. He nodded, and they bumped fists before the announcer started the fight.

-~-~

It was the third round. Both fighters had sustained minor injuries such as bruises, one cut each, and Levias' opponent had a sprained wrist.

'Left...Right Hook...Duck, uppercut...Now!' He thought, waiting for the depicted opening. He slammed his open hand into the man's chest, causing him to lose all breath and balance, before Grey slammed his elbow into the man's back, forcing himt to the ground and wrapping his hands ontothe man's neck.

Everything was silent as the man gave up. "All right! I hope this isn't the last of Levias that we see! Come back in a couple of days people, we have another grudge match coming up. See you then!"

-~-~

Everybody was leaving. Grey watched as people walked by him, not even knowing he was there. He leaned further against his car as he awaited Steele.

Soon enough, his 'agent' came and gave 'Levias' the money. Grey nodded in thanks and they shook hands, before Grey drove back home.

-~-~

It was three AM by the time he got back home, and he had to break several speed limits to do it. He smirked as he scaled his house and climbed into his unlocked window. He almost jumped when he saw his sister in there, hugging her stuffed puppy and looking at him with sleepy eyes.

"Big Brother? Where were you? Daddy was yelling at Mommy about you not coming home and disobeying..." She said in a tired voice. He had obviously woken her as he was scaling the house.

Grey smiled at her, squatting down on the balls of his feet and looking at her in the eye. "Christy, you need your sleep. I'll let you sleep in here okay?" BUt she woldn't have that. She stubbornly shook her head and pouted. "Why won't you tell me?" She asked.

Grey chuckled at her pout and gave into it. "All right. You know how your big brother doesn't like this town right? I went back to Chicago for a while, okay? Everything is all right." He said, before picking her up and carrying her to her own oom, and tucking her into her bed. She tugged on his arm once, before falling asleep.

Grey smiled, before putting his emotionless mask back on and walking out and into the hallway. His Step-Father stood in the hall, a door to the left. "What the fuck do you want?" Grey asked.

His step-father moved to smack Grey across the face, but he was much slower than his opponent from earlier that night. "Don't you fucking dare..." Grey said, before going into his room and closing his door. Soon afterwards he fell asleep.

Tawny did not have the best night's sleep but still forced herself to get up and go to school early as usual. Her father had already left for work and her mother was probably taking her makeup hour so Tawny left a note on the table saying she had gone to school. The school was only a few blocks from Tawny's house but tired as she was it felt like a few miles. As she got to homeroom she couldn't help but yawn a little, drawing attention.
"Whoa, what's the matter, Brant?" one of the other girls asked, "Did you not sleep well?" Tawny pushed her hair back over her shoulders and nodded.
"Late night studying," she said and thought ...what not to do in a sexual emergency. She inwardly smirked and took her seat in the back of the class, trying desperately to keep her head away from the desk.

Grey awoke to his mother and step-father arguing about him. He sighed, getting up and took a cold shower. It helped calm him down slightly. He wa still severely angry at his step-father and everyone else in this community.

"God dammit..." He says, looking through his closet. He finally finds a pair of clean pants, black of course, and pulls his pentagram shirt over his head. He smirked, and nodded into the small mirror in his room. He walked down the stair, only to meet his mothers saddened eyes and his step-father's hateful glare.

"Grey...Honey..." His mother started softly, but the male of the house stepped it up. "I will not stand for your incompetence!" The man yelled. Grey scowled and said "That makes two of us..." Before simply walking out of the home and into his car.

"Get back inside of this home!" THe man yelled, walking out after Grey. Grey looked back with emotionless eyes. "Home is where the heart is. This is no home." He said before stepping into his car and driving off to his school.

He arrived five minutes late, and walked into his first class, which was math. He received many glares from the population of the class, and many frightened gazes. He evilly smirked, his eyes taking their average spiteful look. He sat in the back, and turned to the window, staring out into the rising sun.

Tawny perked up when she saw her friend enter the classroom but immediately mellowed out again in case people noticed. She passed it off as a brief neck stretch and tossed her hair over her shoulder. Ugh, how I'd love to cut this mane off, she thought bitterly. But if she did that she would be shunned and probably suspended until it grew back. She didn't want a skinhead look or anything, just a chin length bob or maybe a pixie cut if she was feeling bold enough. It was just the mass of hair always got in her face and made her neck too warm. And she wasn't allowed to wear it in a ponytail (that was for radicals) or even a bun (only mature women could wear those). Tawny inwardly groaned and leaned forward in her seat, pressing her chest to the desktop. Fuck my life.

Grey watched in slight interest as the girl he met yesterday tossed her hair over her shoulder. She seemed to be thinking some very 'sacreligious' thoughts, by the expression on her face. "Okay kids...And Demon...Today we will be going over Trigonometric Trinomials..." The teacher said, before marking down with the white chalk on the old, green chalkboard.

The girl from the lake leaned forward. That was where Grey pretty much lost focus. He simply wanted to rest. He felt the bruise on his cheek distinctly as he leaned back into his chair, closing his eyes lightly. Memories of the previous-nights fight rushed to his head, and he smirked very lightly. He hoped to be called back sometime again. It felt great to be in his real home, even if only for a couple of hours.

(I'm going to skip ahead to the lake just cause I have no idea what else to do ^^; )
It had been another rough day for Tawny so she was smoking more than usual when she finally got to the lake. She was sitting up against her favorite tree overlooking the water and stubbing out her sixth fag when she dozed off. It wasn't like her normal sleep when she napped at the lake. Usually she was restless, uncomfortable. But under her tree Tawny was calm, undisturbed by real life...
