They come from every nation in the world.

They first appeared to the world in the 1930s, and counted amongst them are the greatest heroes and worst villans known to history.

They have been hunted, persicuted, praised, and glorified. And for fifty years the UN-sanctioned World Superhuman assosiation has looked out for thier own. Many superhumans, from grizzled veterans to fresh rookies, belong to the WSA. The Assosiation provides housing, training, medical facilities, and support for members and non-members alike. Most of all, the WSA provides a tightly-knit community for superhumans to belong.

Recently, the WSA has been opening new Centers in thier US regions. They are recruiting, or in some cases rescuing, young superhumans and are bringing them into the Assosiation. Some come to the WSA for answers, or sanctuary, or fame and glory, and still others are found in thier moment of need. In the small, coastal town of Old Cove, between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the WSA has built one of these new Centers...

This may be a little early to post a new RP, but the WSA is one of my most treasured settings and I hope those of you who play it will enjoy it.

Oo, I kind of want to be the combat trainer...which is weird for me...usually I would choose the health monitor...

Name: Evie Rayne (Ee-vee Rain)

Evie has bright, long red hair and fierce dark eyes that can stare straight into your soul. She chooses revealing, skintight clothing more out of her personality then wanting to get attention, she likes to stick out.

Personality: Evie does not like you, she is not your friend. She hates people who don't know what they're doing, and hates even more when people don't even know the full extent of their powers. She's rarely impressed, but when she is, she'll give you respect. She doesn't like people, but she's big on respect. She hates being discriminated against because of her gender. If you underestimate her merely because she's a female, you can expect to get your butt kicked. Other than her hating the world, Evie is sarcastic and likes to laugh, making a joke out of nearly anything because rarely anything happens that she doesn't find amusing in some way.

Power Source: Was covered in magical/voodoo ailments and curses at 4 years old

Powers: Can read all potential powers and weaknesses of a person at a glance, can figure out every way to kill somebody using whatever is around her, and if she concentrates and has a bunch of smelling salts and spirits with her, can read the future of some people.

Weakness: religion, not just religion in general, but strong believers with crosses and the like

Background: Her parents were full blown atheists who hated anything to do with religion, almost to the point of devil worshiping. When she was 4 years old, she was taken to a voodoo store. While her parents shopped, she stumbled around the store, and knocked over a large stand and was covered in voodoo potions and crap. her parents found her in that pile, glowing and shimmering strangely, they rushed her to the doctor, but of course they didn't know what was going on. Luckily one of the doctors at the hospital was an undercover WSA agent and recognized what had happened. He tried to explain to her parents, but they refused to believe it and took her home, where she had a horrible childhood, bullied everyone in school, until finally, after being expelled form 5 elementary schools, they tried to homeschool her, where she accidentally killed her father. Her mom freaked out and in her distress left Evie on the side of the highway, where she was picked up by a WSA agent and brought to the center, where she learned what she was capable of and how to do it. And after studying for years, became the combat teacher of the center.

Goals: Help people understand whats going on, and teach them to love and use their powers. Also she would like to find someone like her.

And now, the grand and marvellous Supervisor of the Old Cove Center.

Name: Julius Maybody.

Codename: Showtime!

Height/Weight: 6'2", 168 lbs.

Appearance: Jules is a tall, thin man in his late seventies, although he looks not a day over 56. He has ruggedly hansome features, black hair with white streaks, a silver close-cropped beard, and teal eyes with slivers of blue scattered about the iris. He prefers to wear suits, although if he's fealing casual he only wears a white shirt with a tasteful blazer and cordiroy pants. His "costume" is a pinstripe suit with a red kerchief around the neck, with a high-collared red cape fastened by a pair of golden broches.

Personality:Julius is, first and foremost, an old-school showman. He all about style and flair, and he very much enjoys making grandiose announcements and speaches. Underneath his gaudyness he is a devoted and responsable person, with a vast amount of willpower and drive. He acts according to his own code of chivalry.

Power Source:Julius is one of the most powerfull psychics in the world, able to effect the world through the power of his will alone.

Powers: Showtime's strongest psionic talent is his telekinisis, wich is strong enough to manifest teal-colored semi-transparent objects shaped to his likeing. He is capable of low-power telepathy in order to communicate, and can psychoportate over short distances.

Weakness: Julius has no supernatural weaknesses, but his code of honor is realitivly easy to exploit once one figures it out. Of course, manipulating him in this fassion also royally pisses him off.

Background: Julius "Jules" Maybody was born in the Bronx nieghborhood of New York in the 1940s to a pair of married preformers. He grew up along Broadway and other prestigeius entertainment venues, learning everything about "showbiz", from stage acting, music, and dancing to technical aspects like lighting and sound. By age 13 he was participating in many of his parents' productions and studying stage magic and slight of hand. When his psychic powers began to manifest, he drew inspiration from the US superheroes of the era and began his long career of crime fighting. Armed with little more than a domino mask, the occational hooked cane, and his burgeoning telekinetic power, "Showtime!" quickly made a name for himself in the 50's and 60's. He was formally invited to join the WSA in the late 50s, just as Senator McCarthy attacked the multinational orginization for supporting communist (Russian) superhumans. Showtime! was one of the members who defended the WSA publicly, and was able to embarriss the Senator on live, prime-time television. After that, Jules mostly lay low, staying out of the public spotlight in order to activly combat supervillany. A few years ago the WSA's Council of Seven aproched him about opening a new center in Southern California. He did not refuse the honor, and now that the Center is up and running he is ready to recruit some new talent.

Goals: Decades of experience have taught Julius to keep his goals open-ended and fluid. In general he desires to give his recuits a good home and safety while training them for the trails ahead.

Personality: Very gentle natured girl who you would think at first wouldn't harm a fly. By herself no. Alexandria wouldn't, but Tank will dish out justice when it is required. She may be gentle hearted but she can be equally as fierce when seeking out equality and justice.
Power Source: Mutation
Powers: Super Strength in excess of 100 tons, Superhuman durability, Super Human Stamina
Weakness: She isn't very fast so she can easily be taken by a guy with super speed.
Background: Alexandria used to be a normal girl in highschool with her only outstanding skill in mechanics. Otherwise she was average. Her powers were realized when one day she was walking home and an I beam fell on her head dealing more damage to the beam then to her. The beam ended up in a crude v shape while she went home with no more then a headache. Her powers only grew from there she went from only being able to lift 10 tons to lifting over 100 in a span of a few months. Her body to her felt normal but to anyone else who would touch her would feel like they were touching a diamond wall.

She has built her own vehicle (http://th01.deviantart.net/fs22/300W/f/2008/004/9/e/1972_Dodge_Challenger_by_AmericanMuscle.jpg) out of parts she found a scrapyard so it is not the best of vehicles but it was her first. It is quite fast but pass a smog test it will not. She has always found it to be very reliable. She hopes one day she can get new parts for it so that it can run better.
Goals: To start her own line of cars.

Name: Nanite experiment No. 15
Codename: Nanite Master
Height/Weight: variable
Appearance: variable
Personality: He believes that emotion is evil as he has deduced it is the only thing stopping him from reducing the universe to a series of math problems. Nearly all of his actions revolve around eliminating emotion.
Power Source: Electrical energy
Powers: He has the abilities to arrange the nanites that make him up into any machinery. He can even have his nanites create more using the atoms around him.
Weakness: magnetism (gives him temporary amnesia, and ,if exposed long enough, a coma)
Background: Nanite master was created by scientists experimenting with microscopic robotics. He eventually surpassed his original programming and took control of the lab. He has covered the incident up so that it appears nothing ever happened.
Goals: as previously mentioned, nanite master plans to eliminate emotion from the world to reduce the universe to a math problem. Once he does this he plans to calculate a manner of world domination in which he will create a "perfect" world.

Nanite master's regular minions consist of robots called "Munch-bots" They come in a varitey of shapes and sizes, but in general they are silver, spherical (with the exceptions of any add-ons) and have a scanner attached to their top. Thy use this scanner to detect abilities of opponents and reform their shape to become any weapon most likely to achieve their opponent's defeat.

I'll post mini-sheets for those five important minions if this first one gets accepted

Nanite Master... What the heck, Approved! Under this condition: the five major minions must have quirky personalities.

Just as a warning to you guys, there are going to be NPC villians and other situations bouncing around that may help or hinder either/both sides.

Also- it looks like smashing munch-bots may become a recurring gag in the RP.

First important minion!
Name: Munchy
Codename: Munchy
Height/Weight: Five inches tall, 12 lb
Appearance: He's a green ball with large red eyes and a mouth that, if you look at him from the side, appears to be a radius when closed. When opened (as it often is, in a smile anyway) he reveals large, sharp teeth that may or may not follow the laws of physics while in his body (that is, they're so big they shouldn't even fit in his body, but they do anyway)
Personality: Munchy is extremely hyper. His favorite activity is spontaneous destruction, though he gets distracted easily. His personality could be compared to an invincible eight year old with no authority above him.
Power Source:natural abilities
Powers: Munchy cannot be physically harmed, his teeth are known as the hardest thing... of this dimension anyway. His body seems to have an unlimited amount of space. He has slight gravity-manipulation, but he can only do this to himself and only as a form or normal transportation (he has no legs, feet, arms, or hands so he has to get around somehow)
Weakness: he is utterly ADHD, if someone is fighting him, and they mention the latest videogame (or something that he likes in general) he will immediately forget that he was fighting and start in casual conversation with his opponent about said topic. This works for anyone.
Background: Munchy comes from another dimension, in that world everything is powerful to the point that very little from this would could survive there for very long. Nanite master finished the interdimensional teleportation project that the scientists that had made him were working on. After finding this dimension he took Munchy when he was a baby and raised him from then on.

Personality: Hamman loves to smash things, that's about as deep as he goes.
Power Source: Natural ability
Powers: he has the ability to control his movments in the air to some extent. He is not capable of full flight, but he can hover in the air for a moment, "swing" himself, and even "throw" himself. He also has some earth-moving ablities, but they only extend to increasing the amount of damage to ground he hits.
Weakness: he is slow and can break if hit by something hard enough
Background: Nanite master had complete another experiment in the lab. This experiment was intended to bring dead things to life. Having completed this project he brought Hamman into the world
Goals: No particular goals, he follows Nanite Master with great loyalty

Background: From a very young age Taku had been a child prodigy and got the attention as such. He became spoiled from this attention and to boot he loved the ladies. He would always use his money to have a good time with and without ladies. His only true friend Alexis stood by him even in his jerky stages. He eventually calmed down with age but that still didn't stop his playboy attitude. He still enjoyed having fun and loved the ladies. but now he uses his money in more personal pursuits that he sees as better for the world.

Julius came to him brought it up to him that the WSA was recruiting and he saw this as an opportunity to help in his endeavors as well as keeping the world safe from those things he wants to stop so he took it as the crisis analyzer which was good for him because of his high IQ which not only allows him to store great amounts of information but also makes him a great tactician..
Goals: To rid the world of it's dependency on weapons.

Personality: Rash, wimsicle, but hard headed when he decides on anything. Not very trustful of people in general.
Power Source:Simplest answer would be a mutation, but if you asked him, he would say necessity.
Powers: Budding Weather Manipulator (Storm). At the moment only able to manipulate winds and air pressure.
Weakness: slight case clostrophobia, drowning, rash attitude
Background: A gutter rat of East L.A. He never got to see the other side of the tracks unless he was helping jack a car or steal money. He had a harlot for a mother and a one-a-day father. His powers manifested during a beating with one of them. The poor bastard was eating sidewalk from three stories up. It was reported Dead On Contact, but anyone could see, if they bothered to look, a small fist sized impression on the chest. A few days later a pair of suits showed up at the house looking for him, but he was already gone. He could no longer take being anyones punching bag nor pretend that his mother was his mother and what happened was just the quid pro quo.

While out roadhopping he happened upon the stoop of a black lady. The kind that had bosoms too big for her body, but were as big as her heart, strict, well mannered, and attended church on Sunday for the gossip. Her husband, whom he met later, was muscled as his wife was large, but just as kind and quick to the switch. They were both advanced in age and had no children that would visit unless they were formerly "adopted". The pair in the neighborhood were known as Mama and Papa J. They took care of the orphans, runaway, and the general children that did not have a home. They made sure they all went to school and we're able to take care of themselves on the outside. Mama J was a former educator and Papa J was a former Mixed Martial Arts champion. They made sure all the kids we're well taken care of, and Gale had a home until he graduated high school.

He went to a technical college of technology to study computers and their systems. He visited Mama J and Papa J when he could. He was able to finish with a degree in 1 1/2 years from a 2 year technical school. It was during the celebration of his success, the WSA showed up. He was to either be recruited or imprisoned as a dangerous person. He chose to be recruited. Though he never seriously used his powers much in the past, except to get away quickly or to slam an oponent around when fists were not advantageous. He felt a sort of duty to the elderly pair for what they did for him. He was determined to pay back that debt and the WSA was only going to make him better.
Goals: Protect what he loves most and return the debt he gained from from the kindness of a couple.

WSA Xenolinguistics/Cryptoanalytics Expert

Name: "Kohaku-Yoru"

Codename: Watchmaster

Height: 6'6"

Appearance: One of the more ominous figures of superhuman society; always seen wearing a dark leather trench coat with distinctintive amber flame patterns enblazoned. During night, he can be seen to have luminescent amber irises, but finds daylight uncomfortable without his enhanced sunglasses. Considered to be in his early twenties, but despite what his Japanese heritage would suggest, he has the form and accent of a Spaniard.

Most people would miss Kohaku-Yoru's inhuman finger-length carpal claws and carnassial molars, since he prefers to retract them for cultural sensibility.

Personality: A satrical, misanthropic individual who sometimes fails to grasp the urgency of foreign dilemmata. Despite this, he will avidly become involved whenever mystery or cryptics are the subject of a situation. He has never stated his reasoning behind working for the WSA.

Power source: Unknown to most, and uncertain to anyone who has spoken with him. Kohaku-Yoru once said he delves into "a quantum realm" to derive his powers.

Powers: An almagation of manipulation of fire and pure energy, which he can use to rearrange or disintegrate matter. When these powers manifest visibly, they are usually colored in a shade of amber. The true extent of his powers are unclear. Outside of his superpowers, he possesses a strange ability to translate codes and languages despite having no prior encounter, and occasionally recieves cloudy visions.

Kohaku-Yoru is clinically nocturnal. During night periods, he exhibits preternatural athleticism, agility and dexterity, and possesses retina well suited to very low light levels.

Weaknesses: Struggles to even stay conscious during daytime, and has poor depth perception in sunlight.

Background: The origin of Kohaku-Yoru is entirely unknown. The birth name of "Watchmaster" is apparently a fragment of one of his memories from this time. His visions, of unearthly golden plains, may hold the answers.

First of all, that's not the way the WSA works. A fresh recruit would not only have to show ability, but prove to be resposible, trustworthy, and experienced enough to handle the position. This takes several years to occomplish.

The WSA is all about the practical approch. They are in the buisiness of saving lives, and a mistake by somebody in charge can have disasterous consequences.

If you want this guy to be a recuit, I'm fine with that. Just tone down the powers a little.

Kohaku-Yoru is capable of flash-understanding of foreign languages and codes, so shouldn't he be the sole analyst in those specific areas?

-_- I don't think you're getting it.

The position you made up is not available. You can't show up and expect an orginization like the WSA to just hand you a position like that. I understand it is part your character's concept, but this is a new Center. Even if Watchmaster is an experienced member of the WSA, with his skills they would place him in a region where they know his talents would be used to thier fullest rather than gambling him in an area that would likely not need it.

Even if Watchmaster is an experienced member of the WSA, with his skills they would place him in a region where they know his talents would be used to thier fullest rather than gambling him in an area that would likely not need it.

2: That's two points against you Undying. This is no longer up for debate or discussion. No, I will not "import" Watchmaster from anouther region. I have my reasons for doing so, and that is that. Make anouther character, adapt this one, or leave. It may be harsh, but I don't want this arguement to continue any longer. It gets in the way of the fun.

3. On a much lighter note, yes that did rhyme. Quite easy to do with letters,
but overlooked by poets, who prefer to use the meters. :3

Awe.... I was about to do some rule quoting, Oh well. Undying you don't have to Rp with me. I honestly don't care. I was just going by the rules. The GM settled your discussion. Miss GM never said that you couldn't adjust your character to someone that was good at espionage, but a recruit and not the head, co-chair, or veteran of WSA. The only positions that are open are Heath Monitor or be a recruit like mine. If I speak anymore, I am afraid that I will flame on a fellow Rper.

Personality: Very friendly, upbeat, and a great bedside manner
Power Source: An Android Body
Powers: Superhuman strength (up to 10 tons), Superhuman durability, Superhuman Speed (up to 40-50 mph), Superhuman Reflexes, Infinite Stamina. Several built in tools mostly for hacking, espionage, and surgery. Plus two razor sharp blades stored in her legs.
Weakness: Jamming equipment, and energy weapons, she has to be charged once every 24 hours (can be prolonged by a few hours if put on standby).
Background: Valentine or Doc as she is called can't remember her past as a horrible accident and head trauma robbed her of her memories all. She was revived by a mad scientist who was testing as new technology out on her and taught her everything about herself. The purpose of her body was meant to extend the life of a normal human being. You would think someone would be angry at this but she was actually pretty happy with the idea. The man who revived her though died shortly after due to a heart attack leaving her the sole person with the knowledge of her body.

Valentine spent the next 70 years going to Medical school at different intervals of her long life to learn more about the human body and eventually become a doctor. Soon after her recent graduation under one of her many Aliases the WSA came to her offering her worn down body full repair and upgrade provided she used her medical expertise and various other abilities to help. She got the upgrade from simple clockwork to full on cybernetics. Being the sentimentalist she was she wanted to keep the look of her old body so she used her knowledge of chemistry to create a synthetic suit that looked like her clockwork body and now uses it as her normal look. She also made it to be symbiotic with her cybernetics so she can use her various tools without any sort of hindrance but it still makes her look like a patchwork stuffed person.

Alright, here's the scenario for the first post:
Administrators: Showtime calls a meeting in his brand new office to discuss preperations for incoming recruits. Introduce your char, talk a little to Julius, and get comfortable with your character(s)

Recruits: You're in Old Cove's downtown/tourist area on your way to the Center, when a low-threat villain crashes out of the bank and wreaks a little havoc with the local police.

Mastermind: Introduce yourself, your lair, and your minions. I would prefer it if you kept out of the Recruits' action, but if you want to be observing that will be okay.

FYI, here's the character sheet for my whipping boy. I mean the first NPC villain. ^_^

Name: Zachary Indrumm
Codename: Switchblade
Height/Weight: 5'2", 136lbs.
Appearance: Switchblade resembles a humanoid badger/weasel hybrid, with predominantly black fur and a white underbelly. He likes to wear baggy, oversized clothing to hide his appearance. He wears a pair of high-tech, metal combat gloves with extendable claws.
Personality: Two words sum up Zachary; mean and petty. He was never the brightest guy either.
Power Source: Mutation due to Gene Splicing, Kinetic Energy Enhancement Gloves.
Powers: Switchblade is slightly faster, tougher, and stronger than the human norm. The primary threat to his enimies are the KEE gloves he wears, which allow him to make devistating claw attacks or extend thier range, easily tearing through stone and some metals.
Weakness: Petty and stupid with a battered and bloodied ego, Switchblade easily flies into a rage at the slightest insult or fustration. He also has a habit of sabotoging himself when things are going his way. His gloves are also extreamly finiky and unreliable.
Background: A petty criminal who lucked out, Zachary Indrumm was a minion of a mad scientist who "enhanced" his lackeys with dangerous gene splicing therapies and low-grade weaponry. One of the only minions who got out of the situation without developing malignant mutations, Zachary declared himself "Switchblade" and proceded on a solo criminal career stunning in its legacy of failures. For the last ten years he has spent jail time from coast to coast, made a decent try at a "strait life" as a mercinary, and lost so much money to law suits and lawyers that despite how many millions he pilfers he is in debt for the rest of his natural life.
Goal: Make money in any way possible. (Originally become the most famous, sucessful supervillain ever. Time and desperation have reset his priorities.)
Theme: The Original, Guilty Gear X (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GR7N9AXGqAA). Strange and silly, all over the place.

Before I begin posting I will introduce the last three minions

Name: Larry Danerson
Codename: Blaster Knight
Height/Weight: 1 foot, 25 lb

It should be noted, his armor is purple, his gloves are white, and his visor has a blue beam going from side to side, similar to an eye. Under his armor he looks like a large purple bean with arms and legs. That's it, he doesn't even have a face under that armor.
Personality: Blaster Knight is a hired gunman, but he has a strangely laid-back personality. He'll converse in semi-friendly conversation while kicking your butt, or shooing it as the case may be.
Power Source: He uses technology
Powers: No powers per-say. He does have incredible accuracy. Other than that his guns do a wide variety of things. Regular bullets, energy shots, grappling hooks, lightsabres, they can even be used to create unstable black holes for a moment (though this destroys the guns)
Weakness: It's not like he's bullet-proof or anything, his armor is though.
Background: Most of his life before going into the assassination business has been destroyed. During his assassination business he was known as the best of his galaxy (the Beanian galaxy to be precise). Upon discovering Blaster Knight, Nanite Master hired him as a payed minion (and the only payed minion... at this time anyway)
Goals: get money doing what he does best, and get some thrills in along the way

Name: Darkly
Codename: Darkly
Height/Weight: height is variable, weight is indeterminable

Personality: Darkly likes manipulating people. He sees it as fun. As of such he does not really agree with Nanite Master when it comes to weather emotion is evil or not. He does not like to hurt people physically.
Power Source: Darkness
Powers: Darkly is intangible, he can teleport from one dark place to another
Weakness: light, it doesn't hurt him, or kill him, but limits where he can be.
Background: Darkly was another being created in a similar fashion as Hamman. Nanite Master was attempting to create an air monster, but created Darkly instead.
Goals: No particular goals, he does hope that Nanite Master is defeated so that he may do whatever he pleases, but does not dare attempt to defeat Nanite Master himself

Name: Scott
Codename: Scott
Height/Weight: 1 ft, 20 lb
Appearance: Scott is a black-furred hamster. Note that he actually looks like a hamster, he is not a "furry." He is of the Siberian dwarf sub-species, though much larger due to genetic manipulation.
Personality: Scott thinks he's the best at anything. He considers nearly anything as a challenge. He's out on a mission to make everyone see that he's the best.
Power Source: Prototype super-speed shoes, genetically manipulated
Powers: Scott can move at undefined speeds. He has nearly unlimited endurance.
Weakness: He's got the defense of a hamster, if you can hit him it usually only takes one good smack to bring him down
Background: Scott was one of the "lab rats" of the lab. The scientists changed his DNA and tested their time-altering devices on him. He was doing a speed-test when the scientists were killed by Nanite Master. As he lacks thumbs he was never able to take the super-speed shoes off, not that he minds. Nanite Master quickly decided that Scott was useless to him. Scott did not appreciate that, and ever since he has tried to do every mission he gave to his other minions faster and better than they could. He has never succeeded in doing so.
Goals: as if it hasn't been explained enough, Scott wants to prove he's the best

Name: Cormack Eamon

Height/Weight: 6'6''
Appearance: Cormack is a very tall man, and his body is composed almost entirely of well-defined muscles. His face is very severe- though handsome, in a sort of malicious way- and gives on an air of contempt at all times. His dark brown eyes match the exact hue of his ragged hair which extends to his chin, but he keeps it no longer than that, He also has a full goatee, but no other facial hair. In addition to his sheer size, Cormack also has several tattoos of celtic origin along his body, the largest one being the celtic cross displayed on practically every inch of his back. He almost always can be seen wearing long, flowing clothes to obscure his form, and to make others underestimate him.
Personality: Cormack has a temper the size of the sun and is just as fiery. He is normally very cool and calculating, but his aggressive mentality shows up very easily, which arises from his history in the mob, which required him to be as ruthless and bloodthirsty as everyone else in his "line of work." He jokes every now and then, but his humor is incredibly dry and is usually sarcastic or satirical. Despite his temper and scary level of efficiency, Cormack lives his life based on his personal code of duty and honor, and is utterly respectful and well-mannered when not enraged. He believes in a higher power, though he is unaffiliated with any churches or denominations.
Power Source: Mutation
Powers: The ability to control his body's tangibility, which serves two purposes and creates two effects, likewise. For the first, and the easiest, Cormack can make his body become intangible and can move freely without any sort of physical obstruction. Walking through walls, levitation, and the other benefits of not being physical are present in this power. Second, and the more difficult of the two, is the power to make his body far more present and tangible. This ability presents itself as condensing his body so much that his weight and resistance to impacts and other such damage is on par with titanium steel, if not stronger.
Weakness: Since his powers rely on his ability to maintain a steady stream of concentration, his temper can interfere with his ability to think clearly and thus make his powers difficult to properly control.
Background: Cormack was raised in poverty in Manhattan as a first-generation Irish American. His mother and father were immigrants from the Emerald Isle, and they had fled their home during the worst fighting between the southern Republican forces and the northern Free-State troops. Tragically, his mother and father died of typhoid fever before the boat carrying them ever reached American shores, and he was taken in as a ward of the State at the age of four. He was brutally picked on because of his inability to speak English, and the difficulties this presented to the young boy- in addition to his traumatizing experiences so far- severely harmed his views of right and wrong. Warped and utterly without compassion, the boy grew from a frightened and confused child into an angry and venomous young man with a grudge against the world. He vowed that he would never let circumstance or fate change him ever again, and he left the orphanage when he was 15. He discovered his powers soon after, and began to use them to fight the gangs in the street. He didn't do it because he was concerned for others, but that competing with organized crime units united the street gangs in their hatred and cause to destroy him, and once that was done, he wiped them out and took their possessions as his own as a trophy and reward to himself. He has lived for over a decade as a soldier-of-fortune and is contracted through the private military corporations based in the United States and around the globe. Due to his massive exposure in the criminal underworld and the warfare business, Cormack was approached by WSA representatives to gain his membership. At first, he was skeptical about the entire thing, unsure that it would prove to be a liable asset or a detraction, since the reps refused to say whether or not he would be paid for his work. However, he was successfully recruited once he learned of the massive connections the WSA held, and decided it would be in his best interests to represent not only himself, but others like him on a global scale. He is currently a raw recruit within the association.
Goals: Get money, and lots of it. He intends to form his own PMC.

Okay, restating my point.

The WSA really don't approch people with the amount of experience that Cormack has in his background right now. Recruits are generally young people that have very little experience using thier powers in combat situations. A character like Wraith with his background as an active mercinary would not be approched by the WSA, as they try to avoid assosiation with morally ambiguous persons as a matter of reputation.

Take away some of his experience and have the WSA approuch him earlier in his life and he'll fit into the Recruit mold much better.

Also: FYI, the Irish speak English. The accent can be a little heavy and indeciferable to Americans though. :P

In case anyone did not know the acronym BDU, it stands for Battle Dress Uniform. The military's camoflague clothes. You can get them at military surplus stores sorta cheap. They are made of highly durable cloth and water tight. They have a lot of pockets and all of them are large and deep. They seal with with over laping buttons instead of zippers or anything else for ease use and repair. They are actually quiet cool becaue they sit almost a size larger than normal clothes, but you sweat alot to keep it that way.

*Contrary to popular belief, Switchblade's common sense did not jump ship out of the desire for self-preservation years ago. It couldn't get through his skull. So now it just huddles in a corner whimpering incoherently.
