After roleplaying for about six years, I've come up with just around 100 characters. Some are far more developed than others. Here's where I'll post my character's bios. Those marked in Red aren't full developed (in my opinion) and will need more work done before I'm comfortable roleplaying with them. Those marked in Turquoise are complete and ready for roleplaying!

Physical Info

General Description: Xylander (at this age) has grown up considerably from his once cocky and arrogant teenage ways. He has already gone through several trials and events in his life that has hardened his skin, both figuratively literally. His heart has softened and his trust in others has improved as well.
Height: 6'
Weight: 170lbs
Build: A lean build with slight muscle definition; a rather curvy figure for his height. He is flexible and slender and has more upper body strength than lower body strength.
Skin Color: A pale tan shade with few freckles.
Hair: A starking blond hue that he gels and spikes. He likes to keep it a medium length.
Eyes: A light violet that sometimes looks blue in certain lighting. His left eye is blind after an accident with a rabid dog.
Quirks: He tends to tap his feet and drum his fingers when anxious, bored, or thinking. He also chews on his lip when he's nervous. He has dyslexia and an auto-immune disorder that allows him to get sick easily, so he's very cautious of illness. He also struggles with alcoholism and has relapsed a few times.
Clothing: He tends to wear comfortable clothing that isn't too tight. He loathes skinny jeans and prefers baggy pants. He wears hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, and sneakers. He's grown fond of scarves in the winter. He also has three piercings, two earrings in his left ear with protection spells, and one earring in his right ear for decoration. He prefers wearing dark colors such as black and gray, but also likes wearing yellow and purple.
Scars: A long scar across the bridge of his nose, and three claw marks over his left eye from his accident.
Tattoos: A fire tattoo on his left arm starting from the wrist, phoenix wings across his back.

Battle Info

Physical Details: He fights using martial arts on occasion. He's not an expert, but he can pack a decent punch. His balance is impeccable thanks to his enhanced genetics, however he lacks in precision and his aim is often off.
Magical/Elemental Details: He is a master at electrical abilities. After several years of practicing and perfecting his art, he has even developed new attacks and techniques for electric and lightning based attacks. He is learning how to control fire by using his electricity as a spark, but is struggling.
Weaponry: When he's not fighting with his fists or with his element, he chooses to use his sword. He has trained with several types of sword, but prefers the heavier set swords. He prefers the weight and the power that he can put behind them. If the blade can conduct a current, he likes it even better.

Other Details
Personality: Growing up he learned how to put on a mask of confidence and bravery. He often came off as arrogant and cocky, which pushed him away from others. He didn't mind because he didn't want anyone to get personal with him. However, over the years he has learned to open up more and has softened and matured. He is still rather falsely confident and cocky at times, pretending to know what he's doing when he's oblivious, but he now has a sense of modesty. He is skilled at certain trades, while being a complete klutz in others. He has matured and grown to be more cautious.
Hobbies: He loves to play video games, drink with his friends, play pranks on others, read history books, ride his motorcycle, and spar with others.
History: To begin, Xylander's parents were not exactly the happiest couple. They met when his father went to rehab for his drinking problem. There, he met Xylander’s mother who was a therapist. She helped him become sober and eventually they fell in love. They were married several years later and had a son named King.

Xylander was essentially a mistake. They weren't planning on having a second kid but he just came along. His mom was happy to have another son, but his dad wasn't too thrilled. Xylander was born on Valentine’s day, almost two weeks premature. Due to complications at birth, his mother died during delivery. He was born with a very weak immune system; so weak that a simple cut or common cold could turn into a deadly infection and kill him.

Ever since the day he was born, his father blamed him for killing his wife. He never wanted Xylander to begin with, so having this extra burden made him bitter. The only reason he didn’t get rid of him was because King honestly enjoyed having a little brother and he didn’t want to take that away from King.

He often made Xylander do extra chores and would go out of his way to verbally abuse him. He didn’t help him when a dog attacked Xylander, leaving a large scar across his face as a reminder. Xylander’s older brother by five years did his best to protect him from the abuse. Not long after, Xylander was diagnosed with Dyslexia, just like his brother and his father. This made his schooling more difficult.

When King went to high school, Xylander started getting bullied in middle school. He started relying on himself for protection. He would get into fights and often get in trouble. King began to disconnect from him, focusing more on school work, girls, and sports.

Things didn’t get better when he got to high school. He got a fire tattoo on his left arm to try and make himself cooler, but it backfired. Xylander became depressed and began to cut in an attempt to find release .It was his only way to cope with trying to get through high school with King in college.

As a freshman, he found a friend through a sophomore boy named Embry, but he moved away his senior year across the country. The same year, his father died from lung cancer. King now had to raise his brother until he could support himself. Xylander felt like a burden, knowing that King wanted to travel as soon as he graduated from college.

Xylander graduated (barely) at eighteen years old and began to look for a job. He managed to work at a fast food joint and saved up. He never went to college, focusing on trying to get a living so King could leave.

Not long after King flew off across the world, Xylander found that his job wasn’t going to pay for the two bedroom apartment he and King had. He moved out and lived in a small one bedroom apartment that he could afford. It wasn’t a terrible place to live, but the rodents were a problem from time to time.

Stray cats often lurked around his home, and he soon became fond of a black stray he named Shadow. Shadow chased and killed any mice that came into the house in return for shelter and love. However, one day he fled from the house, frightened by something. Xylander chased after him and ran into the road and was hit by a car. The driver didn’t bother to stop, leaving Xylander bloody and slowly dying on the road.

In his delirium, he thought he saw an angel come to save him. He succumbed to the warm feeling that overwhelmed him, falling asleep. He woke up hours later, in a strangers home. He was bandaged and felt mostly healed. The only difference was now the long tail and the cat ears that were now attached to him.

Scared shitless and confused, he demanded the woman who came in to check on him what happened. She introduced herself as Kaylei, a witch. She told him that she saved his life by giving him an herb from her greenhouse that gave him the lives of a cat. However, that came with side effects - a.k.a the tail and ears. She assured him that he’d get used to it and wouldn’t have to worry about it too much.

By giving him nine lives, he had used one for his first death. He had eight more to go in his life time, meaning that his lifespan was greatly increased; although each time he died, he would be “renewed” and would revert back to his original death age, which is eighteen. Xylander knew that despite the appendages, she had given him a large gift.

Kaylei introduced him to the world of magic, explaining that there were many creatures that roamed across Earth in disguises and cloaks to hide their true forms. All he would have to do was wear an earring as his “invisibility cloak” for anything magical. She gave him a simple silver barbell, telling him that it would hide his cat features from any humans or non-believers. Though any other magic folk would see them.

Once he was fully healed, she let him go to live life again. He decided to live life to the fullest without any regrets or restrictions. Of course, this led to him getting into a lot of trouble.

He started smoking, though that didn’t last long. He didn’t like the taste, though he did like how it calmed his nerves. He took up the habit of drinking, which worked better than smoking. He started going to clubs, getting drunk, and partying before going to work at a public library.

One night at the club, he caught sight of a red tail in the crowd. Curiosity struck him and he hurried after. He ran into a girl with red cat ears and tail named Rei. She was flirtatious, spunky, and cocky. But Xylander instantly liked her spitfire personality and they instantly hit it off.

He lost his virginity to her that night. She was an ex-stripper saved from a bad fate. She had technique and talent. She made sure that he felt good; though she wasn’t expecting him to return to the club the next week, looking for her.

Their meetings became more frequent. Soon, they started meeting up at each other’s houses, at the movies, at the mall. They hung out in public, causing mischief before heading to some place private. They were best friends with benefits. There were no strings attached, until Xylander started falling for her.

She was special to him. His first true friend. He could tell her anything and expect an honest and blunt response back. She took him seriously. They protected and cared for each other. And soon, he started to realize she was more beautiful that what her face and body projected. Her heart was perfect too, if not rough around the edges.

He realized he was in love with her one night when she came to visit him for a drink and movies. He had only felt this way before as a kid with his childhood crush on tv actresses. However, this was more real. He was truly in love with her.

Unfortunately, he was too nervous to ask her out. Yes, they already hung out almost every other weekend, and they often spent their nights together. But she was a free spirit, and asking her to tie herself down in a relationship wouldn’t work out well. He valued their friendship more. He often hinted at his interest, but if she knew of it, she never acted on it.

Their life flipped upside down when Rei missed her birth control pill and ended up getting pregnant. Xylander was freaking out over the idea of having a kid, but soon warmed up to it when she told him. She said that she planned on keeping the baby, glad that it was helping her relax from the wild life. This was the perfect moment for Xylander to ask her out, but he decided against it. He just promised to stay beside her and to help in any way he could.

When the baby was finally born, a girl they named Emphys, Xylander decided to ask Rei if she wanted to go steady. He “popped the question” so to speak, which caught her off guard. It was obvious she didn’t love him back, but Xylander didn’t let it bother him. He just said he was happy with her there.

So when she left him behind with the baby, he was completely blindsided. No message of where she was going. None of her belongings left behind.

Heart broken and struggling to keep a living, he did his best to raise Emphys. He was a good father to her, always taking time in the day to play with her and teach her the best he could. He enrolled her in public school and was happy to see she was easily making friends. Her first friend was a boy named Jace whom Xylander thought reminded him of himself a little as a kid (except without the abuse or depression).

Xylander lost his second life at the age of twenty-four in a motorocycle crash when he was coming back from work to go pick up Emphys from her last day of first grade. He dies on the spot, but is revived only moments later from his extra lives. His physical features gradually return to his younger eighteen year old state over the course of the day, healing over any wounds. However, his age remains twenty-four.

The crash destroys his only for of transportation, and he struggles to pay for the damage. He juggles three jobs to pay for their rent, food, clothes, and transportation costs. They live on the bare minimums and manage to survive.

The next few months were a struggle. He began to notice that he would get static shock more often and that when he walked past certain appliances, the lights would flicker. He didn’t understand what was happening and searched for Kaylei for answers; however he never could track her.

To ease his anxious mind, he would smoke (outside and away from his daughter), and drink. He made sure not to turn into his father and kept it limited. He focused on pampering Emphys and during the summer he would take her to the beach to swim (even though it seemed to give him goose bumps and small shocks now). It was their special time to not focus on the struggles in their life. Of course, to the six year old, it was just a part of their routine. However, one day the tides were getting too high and the waves were too strong. They were only a few feet out from shores when a large wave overtook them both, dragging them under and out to sea. Xylander managed to break the surface to breathe, but he couldn’t find Empyhs. Even with her little swim floaties, the current and dragged her out too far.

He called for help, the life guards immediately diving in to try and save her. But the water was too murky and the oncoming storm too strong. Everyone was forced to leave the beach, and Xylander was told that the police and navy would search for her. They never found her.

Depressed and doubtful that his daughter managed to survive despite her nine lives, Xylander began to heavily drink and smoke. It was the only way for him to cope and after months of living alone without his daughter by him, he succumbed to severe depression and attempted suicide by drinking pills with alcohol. Of course, his nine lives save him despite his attempt. Frustrated that his lives continued to bring him back despite his desire not to, he tried to keep living in hopes of finding her again. He tries to work with the police; however his alcoholism only gets in the way.

While sleeping, his accidentally left one of his cigarettes lit. It fell into the trashcan and lit his apartment on fire during the night. He woke up to the smoke, choking as he struggled to get out. He collapsed, losing his six life as the flames surrounded him.

Dying for him is nothing like a normal human. There is no “white light” to comfort him. Instead, he is taken to a world one would consider limbo. There he has to stumble in a daze and find the correct “door” to lead him back to life or ultimately to the afterlife. His previous attempts of finding the door to the afterlife always led him back to the living realm, much to his annoyance.

However, in a situation such as the one he faced in the fire, the limbo world lacks doorways when the living body is in immediate danger of death again. Being stuck inside the burning home put his chances of coming back to a halt. He was stuck in the limbo world until it was safe to return.

By this time, the firefighters had rescued him and were taking him away to a hospital. The limbo world allowed him to come back once he was stable in the hospital room. He was in the hospital for several weeks, healing from his burns and the damage caused from the smoke. He suffered from withdrawals from the lack of alcohol and nicotine and was admitted into a rehab for his problem. He celebrated his twenty-sixth birthday there.

He was in rehab for a little over half a year. When he was released he was sober and ready to try again with his life, he met a woman named Jane. She talks to him about his powers, confusing him greatly. He questions why she knows so much about him and she tells him that she keeps an on all people of mythical origins, that included synthetic cross breeds.

She took him to her home and told him more about his powers and that they were based on his genetics. She hints that his mother may have been a rare breed of human with an elemental affinity to electricity that was passed down to him. Suddenly the reasons behind why he would get shocked in the water and why the lights would flicker made sense. He is fascinated and wants to learn how to use his powers and begs her to teach him. She agrees and gives him an earring to wear that would help control his powers. It helped the conductivity to water level out, although he still couldn’t bathe properly. Even with the earring, he skin still tingled when he tried to submerge himself in water for a long time. He was warned that being submerged too long would eventually short out the effects of the earring.

She’s tough on him through their time together, teaching him the basics and expecting him to master them after only a few hours. She sparred with him, testing his abilities, and made sure he was the strongest he could be in as short of time as they could manage. She would use the reward of writing his name in her book of strong beings as incentive to grow stronger. He was determined to have his name written inside to prove he was stronger than his father had ever gave him credit for.

In only a few months, he had mastered basic attacks and techniques. She claimed that he was as strong as he was going to get. He couldn’t believe that he had already peaked. He asked if he could be put in her book. She laughed and said it’s more of a diary of names than a book. She said he’d never be able to be in her book at this level. He asked what he’d have to do, and she said his best attempt would to find a man named Mihael.

Xylander set off to find this man who would be able to train him and spar with him. He wasn’t sure what made him special, but he was determined to find him. On his trip, he meets up with a demon named Venus. She stood out like a sore thumb to him, and he wondered how anyone who was oblivious to the magical world would see her.

Her entire body was gray fur, her eyes gleamed golden, and she had a fuzzy tail and ears. But what was most frightening was the claws that grew from her fingers. She was a fierce fighter, as Xylander soon learned when they began to spar after an argument. Despite their heated fight, they became somewhat friends. Venus hung around with Xylander as he searched for Mihael.

During his travels he ran into a demon names Venus. She was quite a sight to see with her dark gray fur, fuzzy ears and tail, and the long claws the seemed to grow at her will. They didn’t hit it off at first. They argued and bickered, and eventually fought to see who was stronger. Venus’s super-human strength easily overpowered Xylander, but his electrical abilities wore her down. However, they found a common link between them when it started to rain. Being a fire based demon, she was also weak to water.

As they began to talk like normal people, a bounty hunter came to capture Venus. Despite Venus easily being able to protect herself, Xylander helped out after deciding that she was a good ally to have. The three way battle raged for only a few minutes before Xylander recognized their attacker as his brother.

Now he was stuck between a new ally and his own kin. He fought between them, trying to protect them both. He managed to convince them to stop pouring water on Venus to stop her attacks, and by reuniting with his brother by revealing his identity.

Venus uses this chance to run off, claiming she had better things to do with her time. King and Xylander use this time to catch up. By this time, Xylander is at the strong and healthy age of twenty-seven, and King was nearing his thirties. Xylander teases him a little and explains where he has been this entire time, explaining why he was now a cat-human. He learns King has been hired by bounty hunters and was given a stone of immortality while he worked for them. However, King had to move onto his next mission and had to leave by that night.

Xylander realized he misses his brother more than he would have imagined, and begs to follow him. King declines, saying that it was too dangerous and Xylander was better off finding Mihael. King departs, leaving Xylander alone and restless.

While Xylander travels, he runs into Venus several times, catches up with her, and makes an ally out of her. They find a lot in common between them. Their affinity to fire based elements, their relations to felines, and their inability to stay submerged in water. He found that she was the first person to actually understand how he felt and found comfort in that, despite the fact they did spar often and wounded one another.

Finally, after months of wandering, Xylander stumbles upon the Academy of Woe. He literally walked directly into an invisible force field and finds himself staring into a large courtyard with colorful gardens and a pond. There, a woman finds him and allows him in when she finds him sleeping against the wall. She introduces herself as Light Mistress, he headmistress of the Academy. She gives Xylander some green beans to snack on while she shows him around.

Xylander is placed in the fire wing in his own subsection. It’s a specialized room that is decked out to suit his needs, including: a mini fridge, a television, a bookshelf, a full sized bed, and walls that are specially modified to conduct strong electric currents. He is able to lock and unlock his door, turn on his appliances and lights, and send messages with electrical pulses he transfers into his wall. Light Mistress said it’s a good way to practice his control and power.

Once he is set up, he decides it’s time to walk around and get to know more people. He meets Dark Master, who turns out to be the person he has been searching for. However, upon meeting him, he doubts they will get along well. Dark Master is too uptight for his liking.

However, he became friends with the third Master, Sand Master. He was calm and seemed to have an understanding for Xylander’s personality. He also meets a few others he makes friends with two earth affinities named Rhombus and Lycan, He also makes enemies with the water affinities by pranking them on a daily basis.

However, he creates his biggest enemy in a woman named Eryn, a fairy in the air wing. Based on the layout of the Academy (Fire North, Air South, Water West, and Earth East), they are directly across from each other. This causes a problem because Xylander often sneaks his way into the air dorms to play pranks on her. He wasn’t prepared though when she pranked his room by placing a bucket of water over his door. A simple prank, but it did the job. He considered her a worthy enemy.

Light Mistress created an earring to protect him from water. She knew large amounts harmed him. Even showering was difficult for Xylander. With this small yin-yang shaped earring, he was protected. Of course, he could still electrocute himself if he were to be drowning or submerged for too long.

Soon after, Sand Master starts to teach him swordplay. Xylander already knew how to wield a sword, but didn’t know of anything else except swinging it around. Sand Master taught him tricks and techniques, as well as proper foot work to be a deadly swordsman. He was given a sword made of copper and silver, which would be a good conductor for his electricity.

Xylander was the first being in the Academy to have electric powers. This posed a problem for his training. He had to work with Dark Master to practice sparring and utilizing his powers. He had to essentially train himself.

Now that Xylander had been living at the Academy for a few months and had gotten to know the grounds better, he was allowed to go on his first mission. He was forced to go with Eryn for his first assignment. They had to pretend they were dating to try and get close to their target for capture.

Eryn noticed that there were hidden cameras in their bedroom the moment they walked in, and knew that even in private they couldn’t break character. She pushed him to the bed, straddled him, and hid their faces from view of the cameras. She warned a now very flustered Xylander of the cameras and told him they had to keep acting.

Despite how terrible of an experience it was for them, with all the kissing, hugging, and other forms of affection, they managed to succeed. Unfortunately he soon learned he couldn’t stand having Eryn so close to him. Their personalities clashed and he hated how serious she was.

He learned the hard way that sometimes being serious was a smart move. One of Xylander’s pranks went too far, and he destroyed part of the Academy. Higher ranked Headmasters from the central Academy came, and after a long argument with them he was kicked out of the Academy. He acted like he didn’t care, but it was obvious that he had no where else to go.

Before he left, Light Mistress told him the best way to be allowed back is for a formal apology. He had to give the six masters gifts. So Xylander went on a journey, traveling across the country to try and find gifts for the masters. But first, he had to figure out who the masters were. He eventually ended up with a strange little collection: A rune lock, a monster beetle, a stack of video games, a preserved dragon egg, a dark phoenix egg he stole from a nest, and a hand made bracelet that took him a month to complete. He went to each Academy, presenting each gift to the appropriate headmaster with an apology. Finally, he was allowed to be back in the Academy due to his bravery, persistence, and skills.

He was welcomed back with open arms. Even Eryin welcomed him back, albeit she didn’t seem enthusiastic. Dark Master was mad that Xylander was allowed back in, but Xylander promised that he wouldn’t prank anymore. Not when he had a solid home and job on the line.

That winter, Xylander managed to catch a cold, he kept that hidden to not burden the other members. However, his immune system was still very weak despite his new powers. He developed pneumonia and almost lost his first life of his second set. Light Mistress found Xylander lying in bed, too hot and weak to even move. The only way she could heal him was to kiss him, because it was a direct path to the lungs. Xylander tried to fight it off at first, not wanting to kiss his boss, but gave in.

Now weak from his battle with pneumonia, he was easily getting sick. He wasn’t allowed to go on missions until he was able to recover completely. He stayed away from everyone who was sick. The only person who actually visited him was Eryn. She kept him company, playing video games with him to keep him happy. Nothing was worse in her eyes than a bored Xylander.

Xylander’s twenty-eighth birthday came and went, and he was now an adult again. With his paychecks from the few missions he had, he bought a used motorcycle and took a weekend off to visit Jane. When he found her, he showed her his new talents, but she said he still wasn’t strong enough to be written into her diary of names. He knew he had to train harder.

Desperate to excel, he asked Dark Master (the strongest of the Masters) to help him. After evaluating him, he noticed that Xylander had reached his cap. He couldn’t get any stronger than how he was right now. Xylander asked if there was any way to fix that, and he mentioned ascending.

Ascending was a long and painful experience that allowed your powers to extend their natural abilities. This allowed the person to continue getting stronger. Xylander joked and said that is was like evolving your pokemon, in which Dark Master dryly agreed with him.

Xylander went through with the ascension. Once the ritual was over, Xylander recovered for a few days before training harder. His electricity was stronger. To the point that the earring Light Mistress has given him cracked. He had to get that replaced, and he began to learn more tricks.

For another year, Xylander’s life was mostly normal. His missions were never too difficult for him. He still clashed with Eryn on a regular basis, and he was learning all of his new abilities thanks to his ascension.

That summer, a young teen named Kish came to the academy. He was a pure elemental being with an affinity to electricity. Xylander was given the job to train him. At first, the two didn’t get along. It was hard to when Xylander was constantly pulling pranks on you and randomly sparring. But Kish was a fast learner and soon adapted to Xylander’s strange teaching techniques. The moment he was able to prank Xylander back, Xylander accepted him as a friend. The two grew close during their training sessions and soon became good friends and allies. Kish was given his own room next door to Xylander, and the two often spent time together practicing in their rooms.

Soon, Kish was stronger than Xylander. He was able to learn all the moves Xylander knew after ascending, even though he hadn’t ascended himself. This bothered Xylander and made him feel like he had completed his job. There was nothing else he could do for his protégée.

Kish left the Academy soon after to go with Sand Master to his home planet. Now with his partner gone, Xylander had bouts of cabin fever. He went back to his pranking days, though he never harmed anyone despite disobeying rules. He often got into trouble after trying to prank the Masters. He and Eryn also began to grow closer. They often ate lunch together and played video games after Xylander’s constant begging. Their playful teasing became endearing, and the two started going on several missions together. Knowing now that they made a great team, they began to request missions.

By the end of summer, Xylander decided that he was ready to face Jane once more. He was much stronger than before, and he was certain she would accept him. He wrote Jane a letter, waiting months for a reply. When he went to her home, she was out on leave.

Just before the beginning of October, Jane came to him and began to explain to Xylander that there were five people whom she needed to keep an eye on. Xylander was one of them, however she only had one more slot left in her diary. He knew his odds weren’t with him, and he would most likely never make it in. She told him that he was close though, and that just maybe he’d be able to squeeze his way in.

After two years of training, fighting, and losing two more of his lives through battles, Xylander felt that he has reached his peak again. Not only that, but he was at the age of thirty-one and was feeling rather “old” despite his renewed youth.

Kish returned to the Academy. Kish was twice as strong as Xylander at this time, which made Xylander feel that he couldn’t train him even after being asked to. Kish begs Xylander to train him, but Xylander tells him that he doesn’t have the skill or strength to. However, he promises to spar with him to keep both of them quick on their feet and strong.

After a few months of training, Xylander went to find Dark Master. He asked if he would be able to ascend for a second time. Dark Master confirmed that someone can ascend for a second time, and multiple times after that. Xylander asked for a second ascension, and Dark Master agreed.

The process took longer, but proved worthwhile. Xylander felt stronger already, and began to train immediately. He took Kish back under his wing, saying that as he learned new techniques, he would teach Kish.

On the anniversary of Xylander’s fifth year at the academy, Dark Master gave Xylander the chance to receiving a “gift” from the Masters. He said it would be painful, but the gifts received are great. Xylander jumped at the chance and agreed.

He was told that he would be getting a small pet dragon, one that he could carry with him at all times and use as an ally. However, it was no ordinary dragon. It had to be connected to Xylander’s soul and element. Xylander was forced to train for months, practicing controlling his electricity to create a small sharp instrument to essentially carve a rune on his chest.

When he was finally ready, Dark Master guided him in creating the rune. Xylander lied down, and using his abilities, created a very thin and very sharp needle to begin carving. It was long and painful, but Xylander managed to draw a dragon that looked similar to an ouroboros. With that, Dark Master healed him, and carved the same rune into the side of the dragon egg.

Xylander had to hatch the egg successfully for the souls to be connected. After a few more months of taking care of it, his egg hatched. A small electrical dragon came out whom he named Seether. For the rest of the year, the two trained together and got used to each other’s fighting techniques.

Seether was similar to Xylander in many ways when he was younger: cocky, arrogant, and a trickster. It’s no surprise that most of the academy didn’t like the little dragon, especially Dark Master’s phoenix, Pyros.

Light Mistress soon gave Xylander a tattoo on his back for extra protection, now that his body was connected to Seether’s. If Seether were to ever get hurt, Xylander would feel it. The tattoo (of Phoenix wings due to Xylander’s request) would provide protection for both of them. She warned him that Seether can feel his pain too, and if he were to ever die, Seether would die. Xylander made a promise to himself to not be as risky and to not let himself die easily to protect Seether, who didn’t have nine lives to live.

Later that year, Xylander runs into Venus again after a long time of not seeing her. They briefly catch up and he learns that she’s on the way to “kick some creep’s ass for hitting on her mom”. Intrigued, Xylander tags along. He meets Venus’s “adopted” mom, a mer named Dani. She is happy to meet one of Venus’s friends and Xylander finds that he enjoys Dani’s warm and welcoming personality. However, he sees her more vicious side when her “stalker” comes near.

However, their tryst ended with the Askadon nurse’s pregnancy and birth of her twin children; a boy and a girl. The twins were born at dusk when the moon and sun were still visible in the sky together. They named the children Sorin, after the sun, and Diana, after the moon. However, their families soon discovered of their affair and forbade them from ever seeing each other again. Although they tried to reunite, they were unable to.

Diana’s mother struggled to care for her. They were always poor growing up and she had to work hard from a young age to support them. Her biggest dream as a child was to become a dragon rider. Her mother was always afraid of her getting hurt and was very strict and always watched her. Diana began to develop a rebellious streak and would sneak out to do things her mother disapproved of.
When she was old enough, she signed up in the army to become a dragon rider. She knew that it was rare for anyone to become a dragon rider, but she had to try. Her mother was outraged and threatened to disown her, but Diana continued on anyways. She, and several other dragon riding hopefuls, were presented in front of the dragon that had yet to be tamed. Many people have tried to coax the dragon to choose them, and they had all failed. Diana, however, had a way with animals; that included dragons as well it seems. However, the dragon understood Diana’s kindness and from that moment on became loyal to her. She was named Lilith. After several years of training, Diana was able to achieve her dreams and became a dragon rider. Now, Diana and Lilith are training for the army, practicing to fight from the air alongside the other dragon riders.

However, he vowed to never kill a person on the battle field. His goal was to wound and disable; not to kill. His father was proud of his choice and supported him, training him after hours to perfect his skills. Many were struck and wounded and after another hour of fighting both troops had to retreat. However, Sorin’s father was one of the men struck down by the attack. Sorin was devastated at the loos of his father and vowed to get back at the dragon riders for what they had done.
