Rules, Penalties, Requirements, and Expectations.

All RPA rules and regulations apply


These rules are not cast in stone; they can and will be modified if the need arises or for unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.


1. As always, NO god mod.

2. GM’s word is law.

3. No railroading (acting like a GM to drive the RP in the direction you want)

4. No powerplaying (your character knowing things that have been discussed in OOC)

5. No more than two characters a player (one hero, one villain)

6. Don’t waste other people’s time. If you can’t commit to posting at least once post per week, then please do NOT sign up as this is not fair to the other writers that are involved. If you have signed up and find that it will be necessary to be away for more than that time period then PLEASE notify the GM's so the story can be written in a fashion as to be able to continue without your characters immediate interaction. This is very important to the structure of the RP experience. If you do not comply with these rules, your character will be taken over as needed for the rp.

HOWEVER, NO SPEED POSTING WILL BE TOLERATED.

If you wish to interact with another persons character, you can do so in a co-post, and that would be fine. Just remember, only one person can post the co-post, and not the same person posting two different co-posts.

Clarification: If someone wants to join but can't always make the one post a week that will be considered acceptable, but only as long as they communicate to us when they wont be able to post and allow us to move their char if needed in order to keep the story moving.



7. YES, for the sake of a decent story presentation please use proper spelling and grammar. This does not mean that the use of “slang, hillbilly, or country type talk” is frowned upon, it simply means please don’t present your writing capabilities to be that of an illiterate level.

8. Three paragraph minimum per post at least. Try to give the next person something to work with; it makes the story easier to write for all.

9. While your character doesn’t have to be “nice” in IC, You DO, however, have to be tolerant, play nice, and be patient of others in OOC. Real life happens, and at times people have to be away. Give everyone time to post, or else write around them. Rudeness will not be tolerated, no exceptions.

10. We understand that it is not always possible to post going by the previous poster above you, but read what all has happened since your last post. Keep up to date on the story, and keep the story up to date!!

11. Although it shouldn’t bear needing repeated, all MATURE Rules apply. If you are uncertain to as if a scene is too inappropriate for what the gms or RPA will allow, just ask.

12. Submit a character profile using the provided template. Detailed descriptions are appreciated and necessary. Pictures are NOT required. Imagination takes precedence here, not photos. Images MUST BE SPOILERED.

13. Please use standard font color for posting both in ooc and IC. Other colors are hard to read. The only time colored font is allowed is if you are using it to quote another person, and then keep it a color that will be easy to read. Do put your chars current location and time at the top of your post.

14. You MUST pm your char sheet to the gms before posting. Only so many applications will be accepted for normal people, others, and good guys bad guys etc. Your chars powers may not be posted when actually posting the sheet in the ooc after approval.


15. Things can and will happen to your chars in this rp. Accept that it can happen before you join, as there will be no arguing when and if something happens to your char in the development of the story. The gm’s will be guiding this game to some degree although we are hoping to allow as much freedom in developing the story as we can to the players and all ideas are accepted. Again, gm’s have final say.

16. No one will be all powerful and everyone’s character that has a power must have some negative effect or drawback to it.

17. IMPORTANT! I’m sure that we’ve forgotten something so the following rule will be set in place: Other rules can and will be added and or modified when and if the need arises.

18. MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE FUN WITH THIS!!!

Use common courtesy, nothing less will be tolerated.

Use spell checker. We are NOT illiterate here. We all screw up and that is acceptable. Sloppy posting is not.

In order to help keep track of who is where since we will not all be at the same place at the same time, please provide the following at the beginning of each of your posts. (see rule 13)

Appearance: Detailed descriptions are required. If you feel the need to utilize a photo put it in a spoiler so that those who would rather go on descriptions alone have the option of not having to see the image.

Personality: What is your char like? What makes them tick or sets them off? Give a basic insight to their personality, that is all we ask.

Magical/psyche/powers if applicable: Keep in mind that every power must also have a consequence. A second power will be allowed but that power will not come into play in the beginning of the story. As will the first power evolve, so will the second but at a later date and time. Be aware that although you apply for a second power, your char may not receive that power or they may lose that power all dependent upon the gm’s discretion. In plain words, things can and will happen. Make sure that you PM us your powers and not post it here in the OOC.

Earth:
revolves around manipulation of Nature and the body, plants and the earth. (possible ideas: attack with earthquake, make plants grow and attack with them, blast rock and attack with the shards, enchant physical power, enchant speed... so on....)


Wind:
based on the powers of wind, lightning, and the mind (Possible powers: Read mind, channel the emotions of others, move things by the mind/wind force, minor levitate, minor zapping or channel energy.


Water:
Concerns the control of water, ice, and healing. (Possible attacks: freeze things, the power to seal yourself emotionally, breath a bit longer underwater, heal... so on...)


Fire:
Revolves around control of fire, heat, light and lava. (suggestion: Blind others with strong light, vanish within light source, heat your body and therefore not suffer from cold, channel fire if it is around you, heat things... so on).

Brief Bio: You may provide a brief bio/history about their past, but keep in mind that over the course of time the bios will really not be pertinent. Your char will evolve and progress throughout the course of the rp. Their personality may change throughout the course of the rp also.


Everyone submitting sheets please remember that your character will have no current knowledge of their power (if you are submitting a power) and it will slowly awaken as things start becoming revealed so please factor that into your char sheets and remember for each power you wish to have, there has to be a downside to that power, a drawback of some sort.

To those who participated in the story up to this point, your character will have remained unchanged. To those who are joining in, please note that your powers will begin to rapidly appear during the first few posts, to allow your character to react properly and regain their memories.

A brief synopsis of the story:

The Past:

Two warring Kingdoms, driven for dominance over their lands, fight to the bitter end. One king, knowing that his kingdom was going to lose, went to the order of magic, an ancient cult that had been helping him protect the kingdom.

Pleading with them, he asked for his kingdom to be put to rest, and his people sent into the future, where they could hopefully live on, free of fighting and strife. The sorcerer’s, feeling the plight of the king, agreed to help him, and began preparing a powerful spell to send the people of the kingdom into the future.

The other kingdom, catching wind of this, went to intercept bringing their sorcerer’s with them to try and break the spell, hoping to kill the kingdom in one fell strike. Though they had started, they were unable to completely stop the spell, but were able to alter it. The memories of the people of the kingdom were altered, to make them forget their past and to be replaced by one from the current world. The Other kingdoms army was eradicated in the blast, and the Kingdom left standing in rubble. Though they cheered, the other king remained unsatisfied, sitting upon his throne and angered by the victory taken away from him.

The evil king, King Lesh, went to his mages, and proclaimed to them to remake the spell, so that he may send his own men to the same future to kill the people of the kingdom, so that he may wipe out the remains of his enemy once and for all.

Flash forward to the present:

Enter the present day, Kingport Cove, Maine. If your char is from the present and has “Powers “they will be a direct descendant of someone from the kingdom. If your char is normal they will not be ancestors, they will be normal ordinary every day people.

A chain of events will occur that will begin to clue the townsfolk in that something is amiss. As long lying dormant powers begin to come to light, everything the people of Kingport Cove, Maine have ever thought they have known to be truth will be changed during the “awakening.”

Now awakened to the truth, and with darkness hounding their steps, how will these people survive the upcoming fights that lay ahead. Will they stand triumphant against the darkness that threatens their lands, or will they fall to ‘the rising’ darkness.

Occupation: Photo Journalist and Columnist. Lina has also written a few novels, short stories and children’s books.

Rosaline stands 5’8’ inches tall and is naturally thin but not skinny. Having caramel highlighted softly curled brown hair with dark brown eyes, she makes for the picture perfect typical girl next door. Her ivory skin is usually brushed with a minimum of makeup for her work hours, although she does at times wear more when doing a night on the town. She boasts a rather large wardrobe including anything from plain jeans to designer suits and expensive dresses. Although she has a walk in closet full of shoes, her favorite type of shoe are Nike sneakers and leather boots.


Personality: Rosaline is generally friendly and outgoing although she can at times become withdrawn and reserved and that is largely affected by her current mood. Harboring a peaceful nature she abhors fighting. Once befriended by this down to earth woman she will be your best friend and ally but cross her and she can become your worst nightmare.


Brief Bio: After attending university and obtaining her degree in liberal arts Lina began her writing career as a columnist for the local paper where she still does some articles from time to time but her main source of income comes from being a photo journalist. Lina lives in a small house at the edge of Kingport Cove with her toy collie Lady, her calico cat Joe, and parrot Mattie.

Name: Eldrich Crow

Age: 35

Gender: male

Occupation: Kingdom Sorcerer

Appearance: Eldrich stands at an impressive 5’9” and a very thin frame. He has a very sallow face, and seems a bit .. off kilter. His nose is crooked downwards, giving him a beak like appearance due to his pointed jaw. His hair is a peppered grey, half of the time left scraggly, the other time kept well groomed. His eyes are a deep black, set a bit back into his skull, giving them a permanent shadowy look. His body boasts no physical muscle tone, yet shows little signs of fat. He has a slightly noticeable lean to it, yet it does little to diminish his looks.

When not working, he wears a simple black tunic, tied at the waist by a braded leather belt, and simple leather breeches. He has three separate pouches, where he keeps his cards and other important ingredients. He also wears polished black boots that were custom fitted, and has two inside hilts to hold small daggers.

While working, he wears a robe of deep red, inlaid with gold trim in the shape of seals. A hood hangs back, the inside lined with pockets to hold different types and sizes of daggers, each a pure silver and more wicked looking than the last. Though capable of fighting, he only uses them for sacrifices during his rituals.

Personality - Crow is, most of the time, a near emotional mask, hiding his twisted desires behind a cold façade. He hardly ever shows his emotions, keeping a polite demeanor while interacting with people. He has been known to make people quite angry while he keeps his cool. When angry, or having a bout of insanity, he lashes out at the nearest things inside his range, regardless of their personal ties, or their strength.

Bio- Eldrich’s past is somewhat fogged from the increase of the mental degradation. All he can remember is the death of his own parents, though he is unsure if he killed them or not. Along with that, he has other flash backs of his past about how he has joined the route of the occult, and being blessed in the blood of virgins, though he can hardly accept these as true moments, due to his own mental stability.

OMG, I hate to come in on this at the last chapter, but I hear from a very reliable source who has NEVER steered me wrong that this RP would be one to join and so I am casting in my ticket and will have my character up soonish. I do have to work today (Sunday) from 10 AM to about 6:30ish and after I get off I will be going throughout all of the RPs I'm in to see if I need to post and to finish up characters, so this RP will be one of my main priorities aside from Mystics III of course. :)

Name: Bao Kenton, sometimes known as “Kent”

Age: 27

Occupation: Bao is a squatter and doesn’t have an occupation. She gets by with a variety of odd jobs and will take up anything she can to get by, from selling drugs to selling junk.

Appearance: Bao stands at 5’ 3’’ and has a naturally petite frame, though she’s not particularly muscular or even skinny. She has striking straight black hair that falls bluntly past her chest when it’s groomed (a very rare occurrence). Instead, it is usually greasy with many fly-aways. Her skin is a slight tan, and her eyebrows are sharp, standing out above her almond-shaped brown eyes. She has a thin mouth that is set into a serious line when at rest. When she speaks, her mouth opens up primarily to one side, but also becomes quite animated when enthusiastic. Bao usually wears a thing long-sleeved shirt with baggy pants and is almost always wearing an Ushanka hat she received from a close friend.

Personality: Though she doesn’t look it, Bao is the kind of person who enjoys striking up a conversation with the right kind of person (who the right kind of person is, though, seems unclear). She has a naturally stiff posture and disposition, and even when she’s happy or relaxed her movements and facial expressions seem awkwardly rigid.

One of Bao’s less appealing traits is her addiction to lying. She lies all the time, even when it’s not necessary to do so. But more often than not, she’s prone to lying to make herself look better, for all of the smallest little reasons, and to get people on her side. Bao has a hard time telling a story without telling it straight.

Bao’s made quite a few friends over the years and has maintained and lost more than a few relationships. She holds the philosophy that no matter how brief a friendship lasts, that person will always be a friend. But Bao’s known for maintaining even the most hurtful of relationships, because if there’s one thing she has a hard time letting go it’s a friend. Her current best friend is Duke Grenier, though their relationship is currently rocky.

NEW: The supernatural events have taken their toll on Bao's personality. Now whenever she lies, she feels a strong itch in her arms, and on occasion icicles shoot out of her skin. She's begun having flashbacks that are foreign, yet familiar all the same, of herself--a General named Baoli. Sometimes she even thinks like Baoli. The more Bao remembers her past, the more she becomes her past self.

Brief Bio: Bao comes from a primarily middle class household that’s had its fair share of ups and downs. They’ve lived in the lap of luxury only to come crashing right back down to poverty and then back up to a middle class status many, many times. Bao’s lived in all kinds of living conditions, but none have been so appealing to her as the squatter’s lifestyle.

She used to maintain a steady apartment but soon found that she much preferred setting up shop in an old abandoned warehouse or two. Her family had scolded her on more than one occasion for being “ungrateful” for the opportunity to have a stable roof over her head. Though the disapproval hurt, Bao couldn’t bring herself to find a proper apartment, and became addicted to the lifestyle. Besides, being a squatter she learned the importance of not becoming too attached to material possessions, and this was the most appealing aspect.

NEW: Only recently has Bao been having flashbacks. After being caught in the diner explosion, Bao and Duke tried to hobble to the hospital, but Bao was lead away by a mysterious force. There she fluxed into her past life self, Baoli, where she was reunited with her past lover Crow.

Now, Bao is slowly reconnecting with who she used to be. Where she will go on from now is unknown even to her.

Name: Duke Grenier

Age: 33

Occupation: Duke is a squatter and has no official occupation, but he does a whole lot of side-work that often involves the peddling of drugs. His primary “employer” at the moment is a man named Paul McKale. Once upon a time, Duke used to be a dentist.

Appearance: Sunken green eyes, dirty blonde hair cut choppily short, and a pasty pale complexion, Duke could hardly be called even a shadow of his younger days. If he weren't so degenerated, he might look half normal, but his eyes have always been strangely large.

Personality: Duke is a fickle character with a personality that constantly ebbs and flows. Duke’s become consistently more erratic over the years and is prone to making sudden, illogical choices. He can stand very few people, and even the people he likes he often cannot stand (Bao included). He’s addicted to any drug he can get his hands on, but heroine is his brand of choice. He used to write poetry in his spare time, but has long since abandoned it.

NEW: Now with all the insanity going on around him, Duke feels like one of the sanest people in town. As his best friend Bao degenerates, Duke becomes more conflicted with how he should deal with the situation, or if he should just let her deal with the baggage herself.

Brief Bio: Duke Grenier used to be a dentist, and a pretty bad one at that. He was married to a woman named Addie, but was not able to bear a child. Though he was not very good at his job, he reigned in a reasonable amount of income that was more than enough to support his wife. They both had terrible spending habits, though, Duke especially. He was determined to look and feel rich, to prove his family wrong for a few poorly-chosen words said in the past, and to also satisfy Addie’s need to have the perfect “white-picket-fence” life. The two slowly drove themselves into debt, and eventually the two had a divorce. Duke lost the house and was put on the street. Later, his malpractice caught up to him as well and he lost his job. He lived out of his car for a while before he was forced to sell it for food.

Duke made his way from homeless shelter to homeless shelter. He hated hanging around squatters and the like, but often had no choice. Eventually he met Paul McKale, along with a few others in his inner circle, and began vaguely doing business with him. Unrelated, he also met Bao Kenton, a girl with an even larger circle of friends, or at least acquaintances. The more the two saw one another, the more they enjoyed one another’s company, and eventually became close yet dysfunctional friends.

NEW: Having been swept up in recent supernatural events, Duke has noticed Bao begin to drift away. Normally Duke would just walk away from her whenever Bao even vaguely annoys him, but her degeneration has him genuinely worried in her mental well being. One thing is sure to Duke: Bao is viciously ill, and needs some kind of attention. He may have been a mal-practicing dentist, but shit, he ain't a doctor. Right now he's trying to decide whether or not he should leave her to her own devices or if he should try to help.

[The Imposter]

Here we go!

Name: Wesley 'Wes' Cooke

Age: 33

Occupation: Manufactured turbines for GE Energy in Bangor ME, for reasons had to quit and now runs 'errands' with some old friends.

Appearance: Thirty three years haven't been kind to Wes. Stress and work have caused severe baldness which resulted in Wes shaving his head. Often wears a hat (usually a beanie unless the weather is nice) to cover it up. He stands at 6'4 and is about 260lbs. Has brown eyes and a little bit of a crooked nose and laugh lines that always hang around. He is built like an ox from lifting heavy equipment at GE and wrestling in highschool. His most notable features are the dark circles under his eyes (lack of sleep), his rough hands, and a chipped upper front tooth.

Often wears a button up shirt with the sleeves folded not rolled up (He is pretty particular about his sleeves being even) and jeans or track pants depending on what he will be doing.

Personality: Motivation is always the one thing that keeps Wes on track. It doesn't matter if it is a job or keeping his temper in check. His motivation is his son; who is in a medically fragile situation and recently lost all the hours Mainecare was giving for someone to help look after him. This factor always vetos everything else. Whether Wes thinks something is ethical or not isn't important if it is stopping him from supporting his son.

In conversation Wes is usually quite cheerful despite how he may feel, he tries to see things as a cup half full situation. He does however have certain things that can set his temper off. Any talk of his late wife or son in a negative light for instance or someone calling anything 'retarded'. If he is able to control his temper it will result in little ticks like chewing his bottom lip or becoming quite fidgitedy. He is a quick thinker but sometimes his words come out too fast before he can filter them. This appears as him making light of most situations even if he is angry.

Summary of Chapter 1:
In the first chapter, the world is a normal place, with the small hiccup of Crow’s appearance, which cause people to have flash back of their past life, and that their powers slowly begin to appear. More weird things begin to happen, from a kid attacking a large group of people, to a bad drug bust gone wrong. Things became even worse as crow appeared, stole the soul of the diner owner Jackie, and had her blow it up.

Summary of Chapter 2: More people developing their powers as two more people come from the past, Dimitri and Alex. Crow becomes more active in collecting members and causing havoc. Current total stands at him kidnapping a female child and Inspector. He also had Jackie attack Trixie, who develops her power. Su is attacked by someone of her past and kills him, which prompts Crow to find her and convince her ‘Mother’ Gail to train her powers to go and work for crow, who is actually plotting to use Su to defeat Crow while she has Kant help bring out more of Su’s power. Bao has mentally borked and fallen in love with Crow, who is using her for her power and to cause problems. Wes is at the hospital since his sun is tied up and connected to wires. The chapter ended with Alex kidnapping Rosa (Mysteria’s character) and heading off with her.

If you communicate with the gm's as we say in the opening, we will work with you on that! We realize everyone has real life and that always has to come first. Even for the gm's and since we are all three staff, it often happens. So please don't let that stop you!

I'm super busy this week and weekend coming up but have been reviewing the c/s's with Kris and Keep and most of you should be hearing back from us asap or possibly have already heard back from us. As well, a few co op's to open the IC are in the process of being completed as well that will set the stage for chapter three and open it up for others to be able to jump in.

So, in plain words, we will be able to get this thing started fairly soon! Also, everyone remember, if you need help with getting your character in, or find you are at a loss for what to post at any point in the story, I've got to tell you when it comes to idea generating my two co gm's are simply amazing so please, pm us if you are struggling because it is as has been from day one, to see this rp through to conclusion and to have EVERY amazing player we are working with to make that journey with us!

Quite a while might I say and the Twin #1 that I submitted was hard finding a picture of him clothed, as is for Twin #2. *sigh* I declare that I am so going to try and find other photos once they are approved of course. :)

Name: Crillaxa "Lax" Filli. No one but her mentor knows her by anything other than Lax Filli. It's even on her certificates.

Age: 32

Occupation: Owns a popular tattoo parlor during the weekdays and fights at the local MMA ring for a hobby.

Appearance: Lax doesn't roll for boring anything. So, why would her body be anything but unique? Her long thick hair that was once almost silver blond when she was young was died a stunning snow white with pitch black tips. Her skin which was always pale and easily burned grew even whiter as she spent more and more time inside. Her eyes are so pale a blue that it is almost thought that she has no irises if it wasn't for the navy outer edge. Her eyes are another contributor to the reason she doesn't spend much time outside, since light easily blinds her. When she does escape her parlor or room, she is sure to wear sun glasses.
Furthermore, as she grew she began to show her love for body art. Her first tattoo was a flying demon on her right arm, done by her tattoo mentor. Only the two of them know the reason she wanted that as her first. Others collected on her came over the years. She started wearing shorter clothes, several piercings, and flashy make-up. Her body is a moderate hour-glass shape and stands about 5'7". Some of the smaller details of her include the ink-stained tips of her fingers from her job, the bright blush she gets across her cheeks when she is hot, and the occasional bruises or nicks from fighting.

Personality: Lax has a rough attitude to say the least, although she tries to rule it by logic and respect if she can manage. Part of this is caused by her anger management issues, while the other part is due to her raising. She is not comfortable with the unknown at all and it will generally piss her off to talk about the things she doesn't remember; among the many other things that piss her off. She takes over jobs herself when she deems someone else inadequate and is very impatient. She'll say pretty much most of what she thinks (as long as it doesn't screw up her business) and she relatively doesn't care if someone is offended by what she says, though she has been known to go too far. When she is mad, her actions can range from cursing, yelling, breaking things, or even throwing a few punches if she can't hold back.
The biggest exception to her life of aggression is her tattoo art practice, which somehow has always been rather good at calming her down for long periods of time (unless she with particularly annoying customers). Since she doesn't get to print all the time, she also lets out her anger in all sorts of fighting that she does at the local ring. Another habit she has gained as a quick fix is her addiction to cigarettes and goes through at least a pack a day. Not healthy in the least, but she stopped caring.

Bio: Lax can't remember pretty much anything but a few flashes and her first name from her first thirteen years of life. Her first steady memories were of waking up in a foster home in Maine. Over the next couple months she scrounged around until she came across this lady in the town who was famous for her excellent tattoo art businesses. Turns out she took an interest in Lax too (because she was looking for an apprentice at the time) and adopted her (Lax's last name is her mentor's). They never really became mother-daughter like. Instead the relationship was exactly as it was, apprentice-mentor. Though she was still who Lax trusted and cared for the most. Learning under her mentor was hard, especially with her impatience and quick temper, but practice paid off and she became an excellent artist with an extreme passion. After finishing her apprenticeship at seventeen, she worked in her mentor's shop for two more years before moving from Florida, where she had moved to from Maine after adopted, to California where she set up and ran five more shops for her mentor's business on the West coast periodically until a year ago when she decided to return to Maine. For several months she has wanted to return to figure out more about her past if she could, but hasn't gotten far.

Occupation: Eric is currently studying to become a certified welder, but his real passion lies in being a smithy with a hot forge.

Appearance: Eric stands at 6'2", 195lbs. He a littled out of shape, but who isn't? He has Hazel brown eyes, and his head has been regularly shaved bald since he was 19. Eric also sports a severe burn mark on the underside of his right forearm.

Personality: Eric is very much about putting his everything into his work, but that has never stopped him from being social should the need arise. He's a tireless worker and a hopelss romantic, even if his approach towards women may seem...inappropriate at times.

Brief Bio: Eric was adopted at birth, though Eric will tell you that his adopted parents are his real parents since they're all he's known. When he was 12, he was taken to his first Renaissance Fair his parents worked at and instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. The one thing that caught attention the fastest was the smithy's forge. The ability to make so many cool swords and other things had him hanging around the smithy all day. At 16, Eric's parents asked the smithy if he could apprentice underneath him and the smithy gladly agreed knowing that the boy was already interested.

Six years later, Something urged Eric to move out to a couple miles outside of Portland, Maine and set up shop. He's been keeping in healthy contact with his parents, while still waiting for what ever inside that brought him here to show up.

Occupation: Tre’von is a college student who also works at a bank. He is also a famous drag queen and performs every Friday night at an alternative club.

Appearance: Tre’von stands about 5’8”, relatively short compared to others his age. He has shoulder length hair that he dyes on the regular and keeps it kept. His hair currently has wine highlights. His beautiful hazel skin is near flawless aside from the scars of childhood and various fights throughout high school. Tre’von has beautiful blue eyes that make him an oddity due to the fact that no one in his family has ever had blue eyes, aside from his very very very distant relatives. Tre’von has a swimmer’s build, not to muscular but not lean either. He has just enough muscle to accent his body. He is very flexible and has piercings in both ears as well as a phoenix tattoo on his back.

Personality: Sincere and caring, though fierce and determined. He doesn’t let anger or his emotions get the best of him. He can be a bit stubborn, and overly optimistic, but he is always focused on the issue at hand. There aren’t many things that can distract him; however, he does have a weak spot for candy.

Brief Bio: Tre’von was born into a wealthy family, a family that in the past was high up in the chain of command. They gave Tre'von and his twin brother whatever they wanted and in return all they asked for was obedience and loyalty. His family had a secret, and that secret they would take to their graves. From the past they had somehow managed to KEEP some of their collective memory of the past events and knowledge and have since been preparing their children in secret for a day they hoped might never come. They never told Tre'von nor his brother the reason as to why they were pushing them so hard to learn and practice. They lived mostly in silence about their memories, but they made sure to enroll both of their children into martial arts classes at a young age to make sure that they were prepare. His parents were considered uppity, at least that is what those in the neighborhood would exclaim when asking about the Meadows Family. Tre’von had a twin brother of which he doesn’t speak to much as the male decided to go off on his own and pretty much cut himself off from the rest of the family. One can imagine the hurt his parents experienced when one of their children went off to never return. Tre’von grew up being tossed into martial arts classes and other classes to utilize his gifts by his parents who were preparing him for something he knew nothing about. This was his parents way of keeping him and his brother busy and safe. Of course after graduating high school Tre’von took the initiative after his brother left to also leave, but unlike his brother he kept in touch with his family. He has a beautiful apartment and got a job working as a bank teller. He is currently a lead teller and is going to school to become a mortgage broker. During his time out of high school, he joined a gay family and began performing as a drag queen. His drag name, “N’rajah DaVinsiaga Evating” was a name that became pretty famous in the gay underworld of things. His parents don’t speak about his sexuality much, but they still love Tre’von and his brother.

Appearance: Stands at 5’ 8” with a refined, elegant bone structure that is only enhanced by the fluid movements and bearing that has been ingrained with her dance career. Her appearance has often been compared with that of a china doll. Porcelain skin with a natural rose tint along her cheeks bones. Deep auburn hair that falls in large, natural curls to the bottom of her shoulder blades, bringing out the blueness of her eyes.

When she is relaxed and not thinking about work she is bubbly and outgoing, usually ready for an adventure of some sort. Is not very good at concealing her emotions.

Bio: Is usually traveling with her dance troupe, but a recent injury caused her to have to take a few months off while it healed. Taking advantage of the time off she decided to visit an aunt in Kingport, teaching a couple of dance classes at her aunt’s studio to keep herself busy.

Occupation: Hunter

Appearance: Stands at a tall 6'8, with a slightly muscular body type. His skin is slightly tanned, and on his forehead he has the roman number 3 (III) engraved with blood. He is bald, and has no facial hair except for his eyebrows. His eyes are different from each other; His left eye is perfectly normal with a blue pupil. His right eye, however, has a large scar over it that reaches from his cheekbones to his forehead. This eye has no pupil or iris whatsoever (in other words; completely blank/white.)

He wears a brown, long coat that he always leaves opened. His clothes under his coat consist of a simplistic white blouse combined with a brown sleeveless jacket. His pants are baggy, yet somehow nicely fit around his legs. He wears large, brown boots. On his hands he wears black fingerless gloves, and on his back he carries a large, silver buster sword with red decorations on it.

Personality: Azrael is a very silent, emotionless man. Even though he hides his emotions, he's not cold-hearted or careless. He can be a very heart-warming, caring man if you get on his good side. He hardly ever speaks, most of the time he is just thinking about things rather than speaking them out loud.

Brief Bio: Azrael woke up in present-time, not knowing where he was. The only thing he remembered was his name and the most important happening in his life; the death of his father. More importantly, the death of his father caused by him. Azrael only remembers his father's hand slipping out of his hand, and watching his father fall to his death. This happening still haunts him to the day, he constantly has nightmares and flashbacks of this moment.

Scared by the 'modern' world, he cast himself away from the city and went to live in the woods, traveling from place to place. He earns money by selling animals to butchers. It's not much of a living, but its good enough for him.

Age: 26

Occupation: Deputy Police Officer/ Emergency EMT

Appearance: Standing at 5'10", Trixi has a good athletic body keeping in very good condition for her profession requirements and own recreational activities. Long dark blonde hair with natural red highlights that show more in bright light and especially in the summer. Flowing down to the small of her back though usually braided back for greater ease. Emerald eyes that are hard to ignore and tanned skin. Trixie when she's not serious, has a smile on her face. When not wearing a dark police issued blue tanktop, and black jeans while on the clock. She's seen in black spegetti strapped tank with blue jean shorts; hiking boot nearly always on. For her they are the most comfortable things in the world! Clothing attire is well fitted, accentuating her body and larger chest but never skin tight if she can help it...Clothes were made to move with you, not restrict when running all over the town for a thief, or tear easily in a tree with her personal bow sighting for those that would do much more harm to the town than taking money from a citizen.

Personality: Very kind and generous, if someone in their town needs help putting up their backyard fence or pick up their kid from school...she's only a phone call away ready to help. Having been taught by her father, the more generous you are...the more respected by others you become and good things are only to happen. But Trixi does have a bad side to her....which in turn makes her a great officer. Tolerance for ill actions, words, events, thoughts, etc is non-existant. Piss her off and there is great hell to pay!! Mistreat an innocent and not only would they remember HER name...but think nervously twice about ever stepping wrong again in her town.

Bio: 1st descendant born just weeks after the kingdom was sent to the present time. Her mother being a doctor in the local hospital and father an honest, hardworking landscaper for the town. Trixi wanted to help those all over who needed it like her parents..but also protect those who were innocent and bring those in to recieve their fair justified punishment for their crimes. So she graduated top of her class at the Academy as a Police Officer with heavy EMT certification and worked hard to where she is now as a Deputy. Living in her own 3 bedroom house in town with her 2 police german shepard dogs Maxum and Thor.

Appearance:

For what most people consider a "couch potato", Stephanie's managed quite well for herself. Somewhat taking care about what she eats, a cobbled-together exercise regime and a hefty dose of natural luck, Stephanie's physique remains slender and shapely against the odds and even manages to be a few pounds under standards for people of her age and height, which is a quite average five and a half feet tall. Her waist-length mane of blonde hair is likely her most defining feature from afar, which she usually keeps untied. It frames a somewhat heart-shaped face of delicate features, of which only her blue eyes somewhat stand out. If she took any effort into improving her looks, she could likely stand out much more.

Which also applies to her choice of clothing. Worn blue jeans, oversize tees over tanktops and such could easily be substituted for something more appealing if she ever cared for such a thing. The American standard of beautiful pale-skinned blondes in sexy clothes seems to have passed over her head by a mile. Her clothes usually haven't seen an ironing board since they were made and have a slept-in look more often than not, which is probably the case. Her unoriginal attire is usually coupled with some simple black ankle boots and a plain dark grey sweater coat, kept in the side sling bag she always has with her, for when it gets colder. Not strong on the heavy decorations or jewelry, Stephanie only rounds off her "look" with cheap, pearl-like earrings and a hefty-looking silver watch.

Personality:

It's with a generous dose of lazy that Stephanie leads her life. This can be partially explained by the fact she has trouble getting started on things not immediately part of her focus or that perhaps she's simply not motivated to act by much. Doing up her hair is too tedious, making elaborate meals takes too long and going to the gym involves getting up early and cutting on sleep. Fashion, makeup, body looks, diet, going to parties, multiple things girls her age usually take a lot of attention and care about, she lets pass her by. Unless she decides to make it rank as important on her list of things to-do, it's simply beneath notice and not worth more effort than the minimum, if at all.

If someone takes the time to sit down and talk with her, she is an easy person to get along with. Stephanie's very sociable, is devoted to her friends (they rank on her list once she's been with them a while and earned her trust) and is a very motivated person for what she likes or aims for. It might take some prodding and effort, but once she has her eyes on a goal, it's hard to shake her off the path. Not stubborn, but determined to finish what she started as completely as possible, if she's going to do something at all, it's going to be done right.


History:

Born from a modest family of average parents, Stephanie quickly went on her own when she came of age. Her memories are a bit fuzzy about her childhood, but she chalks it up as nothing more than her mind discarding unnecessary things or just because she's tired a bit too often and never kept picture books around. In any case, she started up her Master's Degree recently, which is taking up most of her time. She helps pay her bills partially from the grant she received and in part due to odd jobs and contracts she takes on.

She's currently back in town after extended leave with living at a friend's, in the apartment complex she calls home. Or at least the three rooms in it, of which the computer one is of most importance. Currently on leave for a month to finish her reports and homework, she's been reading the local news and newspaper and only now discovering how many things have been going on lately... of which none of them drew more than a shrug and a “huh” reaction of mild interest, before shuffling to the back of her mind to be promptly forgotten. There was this artist's site she really wanted to check out first...

Okay, here's a quick version of a recap for everyone since it's been a while since Keeps been able to post. Anyone jump in and add or correct me if I'm wrong but here goes.



Zack attacked Kiera in the hospital. He sees himself in the mirror and realizes who and what he is and that just as was in the past, he is again under Crows control. He tries to force Kiera to receive a shot, a 'muscle relaxer'. She fights back, the nurses notice and call security. Crow is controlling Zack but tells him not to worry when he is taken into custody, he will be freed soon.

Tre'von meets Duke at the diner, Duke tells him the story about Ryan visiting dreams and how Bao has dreamed of another time and place in the past. Tre'von wants to stay in touch with Duke so he can meet Bao as it lends weight to the stories his parents told him about the past that he thought were mere tales of some sort. Tre'von leaves in his car and hasnt been seen in our story since.

Lina concentrates, making herself sick but makes a mental connection with Cheri, projecting the image of three what looks to be like smoke stacks.... Cheri, Su Lin and Trixie meet up at WOW to set out to find Lina.

Bao is on her way to the funeral but has remembered her life as Baoli and longs for it again.

Wes readies himself for the funeral and puts a gun to his mouth but it's empty. The shadow of Ryan shows up, asking if he's really going to bury him. It's an evil presence though that Wes is recognizing but he leaves for the funeral anyhow.

Eric and Lax are at his house after Lax has been attacked by Jackie with the machete. Both Eric and Lax learn that they can heat things, stone included. Eric gets a headache when he uses his power to make blocks of earth, and as Lax answers a call from the police Eric sees himself at that forge in the past. When he snaps out of it, he's back at his place with Lax, but his headache has diminished greatly.


And that's it in a nutshell but I'm sure I've probably missed something or even don't have it all right, so like I said, if anyone notices anything out of keel, feel free to note it here!

And on we go into the void where past and present collide..... :eager:

Yay! As well we are considering doing another chapter to this. Anyone who is interested in continuing and knows they will want to be a part of it please indicate it now so we know how to plan accordingly.
