She had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, or maybe it was just all this bloody confinement. Kaelyn tied her mass of red curls out of her face with an elastic and changed into a pair of shorts and a tank top. Both were rather dull in colour, but they did their job fine today. She decided to try and lighten up her mood a bit she would go for a walk around the island. She left her room and tucked her keycard into the pocket of her shorts. The cool floors chilled Kaelyn’s feet as she padded down the hall barefoot.

Once outside it was like a weight lifted off of her, the gentle breeze warmed her, her feet sunk happily into the earth. Slowly a ghost of a smile crept along her face as she made her way through the beautiful island. She leaned against a tree and closed her eyes. She could feel the ebb of energy coming from it, beckoning her to join with it. Kaelyn smiled sadly, she didn’t want to use her abilities here if she didn’t have to. She didn’t want to have those stupid scientists knowing the full extent of her ability. Letting out a sigh she put her hand against the trunk of the tree and spoke to it in a low voice, “maybe another time.”

She continued on her morning walk, the sun beat down on her pale skin. Kaelyn cursed herself for forgetting to put on sunscreen and made her way back to the facilities. She kept her eyes on the ground ahead of her, she listened to the earth as she walked back.


. . . Dr. Albert Norf . . .

Dr. Albert Norf didn’t look the part of genius scientist as he carried his surfboard back to the facility. He had been up early to catch some good waves. His skin glinted from the water that still clung to him, his hair was matted to his head and sand stuck to his feet as he walked through the beach. He couldn’t be happier. He had finally found a place to work that was surrounded by his favourite pastime, surfing.

When he finally got back to his apartment he took a quick shower, getting rid of the sand and salty water that followed him back. After the shower he changed into a pair of light brown cargo shorts, a simple dark green t shirt and a pair of sneakers. As he left his apartment he pulled on his lab coat and head towards the laboratory he worked at.

He truly loved his job, he got to see things most people had thought never existed. He smiled and grabbed a cup of coffee, he got to see what made them tick on a cellular level. The work he did here could greatly impact the rest of the world. At least he hoped it would.

~Mauta Sthita~

Waking up, the blinds not closed completely let light into my room which hits my face. The crust in my eyes tell me they wanna stay closed though. Still, I'm hungry, and I know the people who put me here would probably be calling me up sooner or later. So I rub my eyes, then go on to turn on the lava lamps in my room for light. Proceeding to change my clothes, brush my teeth, and put on my signature hoodie for my shade.

Walking out of my room, I decide to take the quick way, even though it's outside walk. Still, I'd rather not walk all the through low light, then to walk quickly through fast light. Besides, I don't think anyone would be outside at the time. Either way, doesn't matter, My minds made up as I walk through the doors into the sun.

While walking, My body moves sluggishly over to shade if it can find it on the way instinctively. As if It knows I don't want to be here, one because of the light, and too, the green around me starts to wilt. I don't want to be responsible for this trees falling down or things dying here. There's alot of green lovers here too, so they probably wont be happy to see me.

The walls... They stared back at me... like they always did, bland grey walls, no color, no life. I slowly sits up and stretch working the knots out of my back, caused by this crappy bed.
I quickly walk over to my dresser, throwing on a light button up, and a pair of tan cargo shorts. Just another day in paradise.. I think to myself as i hurry to get outside. Once i get through the doors I stop and smile, at least outside it was beautiful here...

As I lay in the shade of a tree i notice one of the other "patients" here, a small kid in a black hoodie. The kid seemed extremely uncomfortable out in the sun, but as pale as he was i couldn't blame him. I get up to follow, but stop as i notice the look on his face. It screamed leave me alone, so I step back behind the tree and let him pass. As I let him go by, i wonder what reason a boy that young is here for...

I come out from behind the tree clasping my hands behind my head as I continue my stroll, I can't help but think what other kind of people are here on this island.

Valka Rhzevsky

Valka sighed as she stepped outside. It was the first time in months. She wasn't usually allowed outside and even now she had a "guard", if you would, leashed to her. Yes, leashed. She remembered one of the doctors speaking to her that morning about the situation.

'Now Valka given your track record we shouldn't even consider letting you go outside,' he'd said as if speaking to a small child, 'so far everytime you've gone out thereyou've tried to run away. However, it would be cruel of us to keep you from going outside while we let everyone else go out, so I'm going to assign Darien here to go with you. You are to notify him anytime you want to go out and wait until he is attached to you to do so. Understand?'

Valka sighed and looked about. She could see some of the "others", as she refered to them mentally, walking about freely with not guard around to stalk them all day. Glaring over at Darien she decided to walk down to the beach and stick her toes in the water. Luckily Darien wasn't such a bad guy and would pretty much do whatever she wanted.

"Hey Darien let's go down to the beach," she said flatly, "I want to get my feet wet."

Darien nodded and the two made their way toward the beach.

Victor Nightingale

"This day is turning out to be a bore... just like very other day." Victor sighed.

He had decided to head to the beach to see if anyone else was down here, sadly there wasn't. With nothing else to do, Victor found a comfy spot and stripped off his shirt to use as a form of towel, and laid down on the beach. Time seemed to slip by him as he sun bathed, but his eyes suddenly shot open as he felt others coming.

Victor slowly sat up stretching his arms, working the stiffness out of his back. How long have I laid here? he wondered, Looking around for what woke him, he saw too others coming down to the beach, one was a girl, the other a guard from the facility. Too Victors disappointment, they were too far away for Victor too see any real details about them. So in a rush of impulsiveness Victor hopped up and started to walk over too the newcomers.

Valka Rhzevsky

Valka sighed contentedly when her feet finally met water. The waves lapping at her ankles splashed on her skin like a happy puppy glad to see it's friend back from a long trip. It beconed to her to come and play. To swim away from this wretched place and explore all of te mysteries the ocean held. She wanted to go too. She wanted to swim out into the unknown. To stay deep within the comforting pressure of the water. She wanted with every fiber of her being to leap out into those rolling waves and swim far far away from this place, but even now Darien's end of the line tugged against her waist reminding her of the man's control over her. Feeling her smile fall from her face she looked down an watche her feet bury themselves in the wet sand beneath the waves. She would give anything to be free.

Looking up the beach Valka noticed a person walking towards them. Practically leaping from the water she hid behind Darien's imposing frame and looked around him to watch the approaching stranger. She didn't want anyone to see her like this. She didn't want to be known by the fact that she had to be leashed to a guard like a dog. She hated being the only one who wasn't free to be alone outside. She hated having to tell someone every little thing she felt like doing and waiting for their permission to do so. Not to mention she wasn't to fond of strangers either.

"I really do hate this." I finally get to the building only to find that I don't feel hungry anymore. Somehow, through the sun, I lost my appetite. So now that I don't feel like going back through there, I decide to go over to the inside training room. A scythe , my favorite weapon. Another signature of mine, though it wasn't until I started using it the first few weeks. I've gotten better, though not very great. So, I keep practicing, and set up the dummies for practice.

As victor got closer to the pair, the girl practically leaped from the water and hid behind the guard. "I'm sorry if i scared you miss!" Victor said slowing his pace down to a walk. The girl was afraid of him? well that was defiantly a change? Victor looked from the guard to the girl, and smiled a little. "Hello miss, my name is Victor Nightingale, it's a pleasure to meet you." He politely said, bowing to them both.

Valka Rhzevsky


Valka peered cautiously at Victor as he approached and introduced himself. Something about him made her feel more uncertain of him than usual. She never really trusted anyone and she wasn't about to start now, but he made her feel even more wary than most. She knew from the fact that he was here and not wearing a guard uniform or white coat that he was a "patient", but he didn't show any real signs of abnormality. He looked like a normal everyday guy. Lucky Bastard. Valka made no attempt to tell him her name and narrowed her eyes at him hoping it might frighten him off a bit.

Giving Darien's Jacket a tug she let him know that she wanted to go back inside. When Darien's strong arms lifed her up and placed her infront of him Valka was utterly astonished. What on Earth was he thinking?!

"Oh come on Valka," Darien chuckled apparently trying to sound endearing, "don't be anti-social. You could use a friend around here. It's not like he's going to bite you."

Valka whirled around and glared angrily at Darien. This was not what he was there to do, and she did not want to make friends. Not to mention she could barely talk anyway due to the special necklace around her neck. The necklace was a blue choker (http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/071/9/8/Royal_blue_choker_by_Estylissimo.jpg) which held a small device to her throat which would tighten the chocker should she speak, sing, or scream to loudly. When the guard did not allow her to do as she pleased she sighed angrily and crossed her arms turning her ocean blue eyes back to the boy infront of her.

"I'm Valka," she said grudgingly, "Valka Rhzevsky, and I'm not afraid of you. I just don't like-" a prod from Darien, "It's nice to meet you too."

Looking back at Darien she gave him another unhappy glare knowing that she was probably going to have to have a conversation now and act like "normal" person. Jeez, what a load of crap.

Finished with my training, I decide to just start walking around the facility, wondering if there were any dark places. I'm not allowed to have any sharp objects outside, and even inside the training room, I'm monitored on what I can do. That makes me feel, uneasy, to be watched, and looked at, though I don't have much choice do I. So' that being said, I want a place that I can hide, without being watched. Thats, what I'm looking for, a dark place, were no one goes.

Searching around, I found a place outer roof, though that would only be good at night. My room is too confined, and they can watch me in there too. I keep searching to no avail, so I decide to suck it up, and go outside in the sun too look for a place in the woods. I will find this place, I don't care. Everyone in here is older than me at least, everyone I've seen so far. Even if I did want to talk to them, I'd still be alone here, so I at least I need to find a place that I can call mine. So I check camera's, blinds spots in them, everything, all of it until I find a good spot.

While looking, I somehow come out on the beach, and I see to people, again older, talking. "Mom told me, never enter a conversation your not invited too." I then turn around and head along side the beach until I find a safe place to enter the woods again." My feet, feet hot on the sand, it should be colder. It then hurts so much, that I can't really take it, so I run back out and jump into the water, my hood coming off my head. "...Bad Idea, I hate bad idea's..."

"OI! ITS TIME TO WAKE UP YA NINNY!!!!"
"ugh, OK, OK, Kazou, jeez, (now why?!?! did the Headmaster choose a Freaking Japanese AI to be my eternal tormentor?!?!?!?!) im up already!" after getting up, and using the waste facility, he activates the cleaning prosses for his unique body. after the hour it takes, he is finally ready to go to the mess hall, for some early morning grub."hey, Kazou, what time did you get me up this time?" asked X3715. "7:35 AM your American Standard Time Exactly." the AI returned promptly, however to outside forces, it would seem that he was talking to himself. "Damn!! my shift doesn't start for about 4 hours!!! Ah well, might as well go to the training hall after breakfast." before he leaves, he puts on his uniform, along with the jacket with his name on the back: X3715

as he walks into the training hall, he notices that there are new equipment along the walls. and that his customary equipment was moved away from the window. "Darn, seems that there are some more people currently residing here... HEY! there might be a new pretty women to try to get to like me... though Mrs. captain lady will probably frown over me fawning over the new arrivals... especially how she broke up with me the other day, he he he, she must have done all of that to get me down, well, the jokes on her. HA!"

after a few hours of workout, the sun relatively low in the sky, he left the buildings and went into the forest, to the special lookout point that was to be his station for the next 4-5 hours. "ugh, another pointless day of looking... at nothing, hey, maybe the new people will go the the beach later today..."
meanwhile the AI is scanning through the observation systems, looking for anything unusual.

Victor smiled as the guard, whos name was darien, lifted and placed the girl infront of him. She was a tall girl, amazingly beautiful, with pearl colored scales, and small fins on her body. Victor couldn't help but smile at his luck, he found a beautiful girl here, on this island of all places. His eyes drifted to the choker around her neck. So her power was vocal based... hmm... He locked eyes with her his smile growing all the more " Your gorgeous, I'm sorry for being so blunt, but I can't help but tell you" he said clasping his hands behind his back. Victor took a step towards the girl, and grabed her hand, kissing it quickly before hopping back to his original spot. "I think this, is the start of a very interesting afternoon." He said laughing a bit to himself, his eyes seemed to light up slightly as he watched the interesting girl and her guard.

Valka almost hissed at the boy when he reached out and kissed her hand. Biting back her first response she gave the boy an icy glare instead to show her displeasure. Forcing her lips into a smile she made a nervous giggle and wiped her hand on her shorts. This was way to uncomfortable.

"Er thanks I guess," she said trying to sound stand-offish, "I hope you don't mind if I leave now. I'm in sort of a "rush". It was.......nice....meeting you.................Darien."

Behind her Darien sighed in exhasperation. Looking over at Victor he gave the boy an apologetic smile.

"I promise she's not always like this," the guard chuckled nervously, "she really is a nice person once you get to know-"

"DARIEN," Valka snapped and then lessened her tone when he choker tightened, "I want to go inside.....Now."

Darien shrugged at the boy as Valka started to march away practically dragging him with her. Ahead of him Valka was steaming. What the hell was he doing? She didn't want friends, she didn't want company, and she didn't want to be friendly or nice......right?

'Stop doubting yourself. You want to be left alone. He only likes you because you're a siren stupid. You're pretty so he wants to be around you and he's going to be like everone else. He's going to want to lock you away and never let you go. It's better to just be alone.....'

Alone. It was a word Valka had always hated, but it was one that could always define her. Alone.

Kazou- "hey, there looks to be a fight or something going on in section 45 3A."
"ooh, there might be fists thrown, but then of course I'd then have to punish them, though... still it'll be fun to watch if that happens... "
there appears to be 3 total life forms, one of them is a part of the security detail his name is Darien, he is assigned to a Valka Rhzevsky as her personal guardian, the other life form appears to be a Victor Nightingale the latter two are registered as patients.
"hmm, get me a camera view as well as some audio."
order accepted. there is also another life form nearby, this one is registered as a Mauta Hārṭa Sthita again a patient the purpose for him to be here is UNKNOWN, also a few of the more advanced cameras that are created with living cells, are seeming to malfunction as he passes and for a few hours after he has passed.
interesting, i wonder how that seems to happen? ah well, he is of no concern to me as of yet, so ill just watch the others to see if they fight. that'll be fun!
as he observes the conversation, he also taps into the neural implants to know what they are feeling, and thinking, after the conversation is over, he bursts out laughing.
"well, there was no fight, but that was just as entertaining! whoo!"
about 5 minutes later Kazou in formed him that his term for guard duty for today is over*
well about time! If I'm going to find out what all that was about, I've got to go find Darien! he should inform me of what it was all about. he he he.

I come out of the water, leaving my feet in, and looking over at there conversation, and can't help but to look at her. She doesn't like darkness, though she likes to be alone. Still, she's again older, smarter, and probably wont want anything to do with death, yet. Though if I corrupt, maybe, just maybe. My iris widens about half an inch as I look at her inventively, I try to read her. To know about her, with these eyes. To see what she thinks about death, and about life, I read her, she may want death. I may be able, to find someone to talk to me, even if it's just a little bit. "Umm..." I open my mouth, not sure what to say to her, so my mind comes up with the worst sentence I could come up with. "A-Are you afraid of Death?!" I yell out to Valka, and look back down into the water after realizing what I just asked. 'Stupid, what if she was? You shouldn't have asked that, what if she is? You just did all that for nothing!'

"A-Are you afraid of Death?!"

The words caught Valka off guard as she started to walk away from Victor. Looking towards the questions owner she blinked at him twice. He looked to be a few years younger than her his messy black and white hair and odd eyes the only indication that he wasn't normal. Turning to him she continued to stare silently for a moment. She felt like there was something familiar about him. Something she had experienced before.

"Afraid of death," she asked calmly, "No.....Why would I be? I am a creature that brings death after all. It does seem to be my main purpose...Why? Are you?"

Valka continued to stare at the boy waiting for his answer, but also trying to figure out what about him felt so familiar. Did she know him or something? That didn't sound right, but she knew she had some sort of connection with him. Perhaps it was something less obvious. Something that neither of them could really see or know. Not an aquainted relation, but a passive relation. Something that they shared in, but niether of them knew. Perhaps the boys question held the answer to that....Perhaps.

"Your a creature, that brings death?" I ask, not whole heartily, though more in a happy sense, I look up, only with a expressionless look. It's been a while since I smiled for someone, so I won't do it yet. Still, I'll give her eye contact, "If you bring death, y-you must have called me then." My iris's turn to normal size, feet still feeling cold and hot at random times from the water. I'm actually, holding a conversation about, myself. Its weird, very, though if she is a creature of death, maybe she will like me.

"I cannot be afraid of myself, Death. Thats what I' labeled as, Death, so if I am Death, how can I be afraid of myself. That is why I asked you. I wanted to know if you were afraid of it, and if you were, you wouldn't like me." The most I've talked in a while, beside the time my parents burned, and I- nevermind about it. "You've called Death, Me, before. If you haven't then how do you know your not afraid?"

Valka smiled sadly at the boy. Suddenly her need for solitude didn't matter. This boy was someone she felt she could trust. She had called to him before. Death incarnate. That was what was familiar. She could clearly remember the day it all happened, most of it anyway. The people rushing into her house, her scream. The men fell to thier knees clutching at their ears at that scream. Then she started singing. Some of them must've had in earplugs. Others weren't so lucky. Their souls pulled themselves from the men's bodies screaming, reaching for her. She continued to sing until they gagged her, but it was already too late. Almost all of them were already dead. Their bodies lay scattered around her house in odd positions. Perhaps that was why theboy was here too. Did she get him captured? Things went fuzzy not long after that. Probably sedatives.

"I'm sorry," she said quietly, "this is my fault isn't it? You being here....but no I am not afraid of you. I just...I prefer to be alone, but I suppose it is inevitable that we will be around eachother.......I'm Valka- Oh, Darien knock it off! Stop shying away from him! You're the one who wanted me to make friends you ass. You humans are so weak minded and rude. I'll never understand you."

Valka looked down into the water her cheeks turning an angry red. She knew it was wrong of her to say that, but she was just so angry. She wanted to get away from all of this. To go somewhere no one else could follow.

"I-I'm sorry could we just go inside now. I-I want to go inside. It's too hot out here."

"It's not your fault...I probably would have been captured either way. Whether you called or not. Not even that, someone would have called for me sooner or later, even if it wasn't you, someone always calls for death." I get up, slowly and look at her and Darien, looking confused at that banter she just said. It was funny, though I don't laugh at them. Because it's also sad, how fast people can turn, and then act like there cool. As if nothing happened, that someone can get hurt, and deal with it enough, to suppress, or in human terms, forgive one another.

"I, have to look for a hiding spot, where no one can see. Don't tell anyone I'm looking for it, you either, living human." I look over at him, Darien, emotionless, and begin to run back into the woods, more trees and bushes wilting as I pass by. "I wonder, if anyone else will call too me, too me, not the Real Death"

Victor watched the girl walk away... There was fire in that one he thought too himself. She hadn't gotten far when a boy in the water calledd out to her. Victor looked on in amusment as the too talked, So the boy was Death? Wow... And he she was a mermaid.... No the choker tightend around her thought at her voice raiseing... So a Siren. That would explain his draw to her at first. But his demon blood stopped that, the rest had been hi, fully. He smiled and walked to the waters edge and squatted down, looking at his reflection, and at the deep purple eyes his father ha left him...

When Darien nodded his assent Valka gave a sigh of relief. Finally she could be alone. She felt guilty though. She had treated the other boy-Victor as it?-badly. Glancing back at him she sighed. He didn't seem offended crouched by the water where he was looking at his reflection. Valka sighed in frustration as her conscience won out. Walking back around Darien and down to Victor she cleared her throat behind him.

"Ah, sorry about the way I just treated you," she said trying to be sincere, "I didn't mean to be so rude. I just.....I'm sort of an introvert, so I tend to avoid other people....sorry...."

Valka could feel an embarrassed blush start to rise to her cheeks and turned away to head back inside. At least now she wouldn't feel so bad. Behind her Darien patted her back happily and Valka gave a grudge filled sigh. She hated doing things that these humans praised her for. She was not their pet. She needed water now. It didn't matter if it was in a human container now, she just needed to submerge herself in it. The facility's pool would do well enough, even with all it's harsh chlorene. That's where she could be alone.

"...No where." I sigh and look around one last time, full well knowing that the place was barren of somewhere I could be. Somewhere I could be alone, to run away too if anyone got close. Somewhere I could be watched, it was impossible. My hand, creeps up to my neck, feeling the collar around me, to remind me of something. "I forgot, this thing, tells where I am, the'll always find me, even if I don't want to be found. Though, they can't touch me, or else they begin to rot, and mummify into a corpse." My body then slumps a little, and I start to head back to my room, again, the plants around me leaving a trail of rotting. I'm surprised the water didn't freeze, maybe because of the sun? Worthless thoughts now, there's obviously nothing for me out here, so I don't need to come out anymore. Except if I'm called, which I will be getting called. Alot probably, for test of just what I am, if I can be mass produced as a weapon, or if I can be brainwashed then turned into a killing machine. There scared of me, us, everyone in here, except her.
Though, she'll never talk to me. She wants someone mature, someone who can handle themselves in a normal conversation. Not a walking death kid with Mommy and Daddy problems. Besides, she couldn't even be able to touch me, not hug me, or even give a pat on the head, or else she would rot a little too. I'm, completely alone here for now, spiritually, no both. I can not be touched, nor can I be understood truly.

Victor didn't look up at the girl as she apologized for her "rudeness". Victor just smiled the whole time never breaking eye contact with his reflection... So now what to do? he thought to himself. With a sigh he swatted the water, distorting his image, making it look monstrous, like it should be he thought.... Slowly standing up , Victor slowly scanned the beach, seeing if anyone was still out here. But he was alone, even the death boy had left.
"I wonder where the doctors are?" He sighed aloud, heading back up towards the facility that was his new home.

Valka finally relaxed as she slipped under the chlorinated water of the facility's pool. It was one place where no one had the option of really bothering her. She could stay under the water for hours on end and no one could bother her with words. Sure they could get in and swim down to get her attention, but only for a few seconds. Then she could ignore them and stay right where she was. Of course she could still hear them if they spoke from above the water too, but it was easier to ignore because she could easily pretend that they weren't talking to her. Smiling to herself Valka lay down on the bottom of the pool and stared up at the ceiling. This was her own personal escape. Her haven in this hellish place.*

Flipping over onto her stomach Valka thought about the boy-Victor?-she had met on the beach. His eyes had been such a strange color of purple. Like a pair of deep amethyst gems. What was he? Why did she feel so suspicious of him at first? When she sighed the bubbles rose steadily to the surface swirling about each other. It reminded her of childhood. All the friends she'd had. All the silly adventures they'd go on. Running through the woods pretending to be whatever magical creature caught their fancy. It was fun then. Now it seemed so funny. What would they think now? What would they say if they knew? Humans were so fickle. They would probably run. They'd be afraid. They'd run away and neverwant to see her again. Unless her powers took over. Then it wouldn't matter. They'd cage her and keep her for themselves....they might even......kill her.....

"hey, Kazou, where is our friend Darien? until then, ill just go to the reckroom" X3715 said allowed, on his way back to the buildings. Command Acknowledged. Searching...
Found... Subject Darien is currently headed away from the pool area. probable destination is the restroom nearby.
"interesting, well then, i'll just see what i can do in water, my parts should be water proof, I've not had an occasion to test them though" he mumbled as he made a slight course correction. when he got there, the doors automatically opened for him, "hey, Kazou, are these doors motion activated?" "Negative" was the response. "then why do the doors open for me?" to which the AI responded,"I have access to all of the doors and security measures, and so i can open and close doors at your will, or presence."
"hmm, that might be fun" he said as he went on through the door. as he passed, the door closed, seemingly of its own accord.

With a yawning groan, Eric sat up and swung his legs over the side of his bunk then stretched. "Well, that was a restless night." Getting to his feet he rubbed his face and shuffled to the latrine then relieved himself. Walking past the mirror, he glanced at his reflection but took no notice of his appearance. He didn't care what he looked like, but he shaved and dressed routinly. He made sure to grab his keycard and baton placing them either upon his belt or in his pockets then left his room without a second thought. A distant whistle of a patrol boat sounded in the distance.

Walking through the dull grey bleak hallway, Eric wished they would play some jazz music to improve the mood around there. Entering another section of the complex, he spotted X 3715 headed toward the pool area. "Hey, how are you today?" Eric called to him as cheerfully as he could muster but only managed to sound dull and sleepy.

Victor had ment to find one of the doctors, but he ended up near the pool area. He knew the Valka girl would probally be in there, but would she like seeing him again? He couldn't help but hope for that a little. He walked up to the door but stopped, he saw the "robo-guard" go inside, of all the things here, he made Victor feel the most uncomfertable. He wasn't human, atleast not fully. This thought made him laugh though, most would argue the same thing about him.

Placeing his hand on the door, Victor hesitated, why was he nervos? did that girl really have that big of an impact on him that he was worried to see her again? "What is going on with me?" he sighed as he pushed the door open and walked in. He saw Darein in there, so that confirmed his original thought. He smiled and waved as he walked around the edge of the pool, but he stopped as he saw another guard walk in, 3 guards just in this room? Is something going on Victor wondered. He looked down into the pool thinking to catch a glimps of the girl swimming, but insted he saw her laying flat on the bottom of the pool. "Well that looks comfertable." he said to himself with a laugh.

as he enters the pool area, his augmented eyes and ears immediately identifies both Darien and his charge. the former, just relaxing after getting back from the restroom. and the latter seemingly dead under the water. after a brief start, he realized that she must have some kind of gills. he started towards the other guard, as the first guard, Eric, that had called out to him a few moments earlier walked in as he was about halfway to Darien.

Valka rolled her eyes when she saw the boy from earlier walk by the edge of the pool. He was certainly persistent. Valka suddenly hoped he didn't happen to be an aquatic creature. She really didn't want anyone to invade the only safe haven she had in this corner of Hell. He had seemed sincere about wanting to get to know you though. Valka sighed at her thoughts. "...Hmm" I look over, at everyone going into the pool, my interest intrigues me to take a look, so I do. Walking in, seeing a whole bunch of people, standing there, either talking amongst themselves or looking down into the pool. What's so special about it, it's just chlorine. Then, taking a few steps inside, the cold air makes my body jump for joy, then I begin to look down into the pool. "It's her...again?" My voices comes out again, and my mind makes note that she can spend alot of time underwater. Not knowing her creature yet, I suppose it's a contest to see who can get to her? Maybe thats why security came in? To get her out, and being the kid I am, with nothing to do, I decide to try it. Taking off my hoodie, and black shirt under it, my body gets ready to dive. With me only breathing damp, wet, and cold air, I wonder how long I can go in actual water. Sighing and slowly place one foot in, and then the other. I can swim, though it's been quite a bit since I've been in a chlorine pool. Still, my body becomes submerged, and the water around me gets very cold as well, my body heat being below 40 degrees. I then begin, to swim down to Valka, my breaths becoming incredibly short, I say about 5 minutes before I have to go back up and get air. After I get to the bottom, I sit next to her, waving slowly, the water slowing me down. Again, no emotion, I look up to the boy that was at the beach earlier, and wave at him as well, thinking, wondering 'Are they dating?'
I never had that feeling, of what dating someone felt like, considering I've never dated anyone. It was always something I wanted to inquire though, how someone could care for someone so much, but not be technically married to them. Actually, my brain almost felt the need to ask one of the people in the room. Banishing that thought, I shake my head as fast as I could into the pool, and then try to think again of the situation. Maybe she was running away from him? That guy up there, and maybe she didn't want me down here. Thinking that, my gaze turns to her, giving her a small, somewhat caring gaze, and look up. I then take my index finger, point to myself, and then up to the ceiling, wondering if she wanted me to get out. If so, I'd probably just ask the succubus what's going on, maybe he knew about the date thing. Maybe not, still I'm not that determined to find out what it is.

Valka looked up when she felt the water being disturbed. It was the kid from earlier who claimed to be death incarnate. Could he breathe under water? Why was he coming down here anyway? Did he really want to just be friends with her? Valka watched curiously as the boy descended towards her. What was he doing?

When he got to the bottom he came and sat next to her waving his greeting. Valka raised her eyebrow at him as he turned and did the same toward Victor. Then he pointed to himself and to the surface. She didn't mind him joining her down here at the moment, but she was concerned about the fact that he couldn't really breathe beneath the water.

"Can you breathe," she asked, "I'd hate for you to sort of kind of drown down here. You can't die can you? If you want to talk to me I don't mind getting out. You could've just said something above the water. I would've heard you."

"I-" A ton of air escapes, from my mouth and I close it quickly remembering that I still need air. Seeing as that she has let me be down here with her, and since I was involved in her space, I'd hate for her to leave, so not sure if My gasp for breath answered her question I shake my head no. The air I just released makes me feel light headed, and I swim back to the top quickly, breathing in and out. Then start making my way back down for the next few minutes, seeing as something had piqued my interest. I wasn't sure if I could die yet, I never tried it out. I was in a depression, but I was never really on the brink to death, so I decide to test her theory, and swim down to the bottom and lay down, than open my mouth to try and tell her something. It escapes again, all of it, and my body starts to feel heavier than before, because of the water probably, and I close my eyes, waiting for the feeling of drowning. It doesn't come, the feeling of death doesn't come to me, and I'm fine here. She was correct then, I can't breathe underwater, but I can survive in it, and not die.
"I can't breathe underwater, and I'm not sure I can die either. I just tested drowning, but it didn't work, and besides, this is your own area, like the one I'm trying to find. An area where no one can reach me, so I don't want you to leave if you don't want too" Getting off of the pool floor, I then sit in her direction. "If I do end up drowning, don't try to save me by touching me. Get a rod or something, cause if you touch me, your body will start to rot. I wouldn't want that." Closing and rubbing my eyes, My body feels really weird. "It's kinda weird, your whole body submerged in water, waiting to see if you'll drown, so I kinda wanna see if I do now. To see if I can die or not, I mean I can feel the pain of the chlorine in my eyes, and water gushing down my throat trying to drown me, but my body just wont die for some reason."

Victor stared in disbelief as the kid-death blew all his air out and just laid there. "What the hell?" Victor wispered nealing down closer to the pool to see better. The boy and the girl seemed to be talking, so the kid couldn't drown? interesting he thought to himself, that could be very helpful. Victor smiled, and sat down on the edge and dipped his feet into the pool, he didn't feel like swimming, plus three was a crowed. Victor looked over the guards, seemed like they were just chatting, so either they were waitng for a signal, or nothing was wrong. Victor hoped for the latter, he hated when the guards had to resort to viloence.

Valka looked at the boy with shock. He was trying to drown himself?! Did he have a serious wish to die or something?! Sighing she shook her head at him sending her now loose hair swirling about weightlessly. Watching him let out the air in his lungs she waited to see if his body would start thrashing in the water informing her of death's swift end to his life, but it didn't come and he eventually sat up.

"Hmm, oh I never did? Well, I am Mauta, half-child of death. I wanna be friends with you because your a person who does not fear me, and that means you maybe, can be friends with me, and for pretty people...hmm. I'm not trying to find pretty people, it's just a coincidence that I decided to be your friend, as I've already explained, I'll be friends with anyone who does not fear me, or despise me." Seeing as I think I answered all her questions I decide to ask some myself. "What about you? Do you think you could be the friend of a death kid?"

"Hey, X 3715, Darien." Eric stated with an acknowledging nod as he walked up to his fellow guards. He smirked glad to see familar faces that did not cry out to him in pain or covered in blood. With a quick assesment of the pool area, Eric only noted the boy sitting nextto the pool. 'Huh, he looks familar. I hope he doesn't do anything stupid.' Then aloud he asked his fellow guards, "How is patrol going this morning? Anything worth noting?" As he stood there a small shiver traveled up his spine as the kid at the bottom of the pool exchaled but remained unharmed.

" oh, nothing much Eric, I'm just trying to figure out just what is going on here. Even though I've just been transferred, no one has briefed me of the kids, like the two down there, and the one at the side of the pool. All I've got access to is the files that are not research related. So, in other words, all I know is who they are, and where they where taken from. and Darien here, was just trying to fill me in. But I can always use a few more people with the knowledge to tell me about what is going on here." X 3715 told them

"Oh, and I wanted to try something with my robotic parts, I wanted to see if the stickers actually say what they mean. But, if they don't, I want you guys to try to get me the heck out of the water. it would suck if the lady in the pool got pissed, 'cause I tried to go swimming...." he continued, looking at the pool, nervously.

"Heh I don't know," Valka chuckled sadly, "I've never really had a friend before. I usually avoid people because I don't want to be trapped or anything that could come out of my 'powers'....more like a curse really. Heh do you know how many times others have beat me because they become so jealous? I'm surprised some times that I'm still alive. Humans are so stupid and blind....I can't claim much better though.....can I?"

Valka drew in a deep breath and released it watching the bubbles rise to the surface. It was weird finally telling someone else how she felt. She could fell all of her pent up rage and emotion just flowing out with her words. It felt good.

"Hey Eric," Darien responded cheerfully, "nothing worth mentioning no. You?"

Darien chuckled nervously when X3715 mentioned testing his biomechanical parts underwater. He knew how Valka's temper could flare and it wasn't pretty. Sometimes even the collar couldn't stop her soon enough. He'd heard about one guard who'd pissed her off to the point that she'd put him in a coma and his brain had started to deteriorate from the intense sound waves. Scary.

"Eh heh you might not want to try that at all with her in there," he said nervously, "she might just liquidy what's left of yo- er sorry. I didn't......I hope that didn't offend you."

"A curse huh...I kinda feel the same way. I can never touch anyone, and they can't ever touch me. My curse, being I cannot be hugged, nor shown any physical affection from anyone, in fear that the'll begin to die. I'll never hold someone's hand, I'll never have my first kiss, or any other contact with a living person again. Beatings are usually handed to me with batons, or anything ranged in fear that they will rot as well." I feel my head beginning to hang with every word I remembering what my life will be like from now on. "Humans...they are stupid. Just afraid of what they don't understand. Remember, we were human as well, so I can see where they are coming from, they just want to know what they are dealing with."
Looking back up at the air bubbles she let up into the air I smile and let out some of my own. "Your powers, might not hurt me, because I may not be able to die, but mine can probably hurt you. It would be kinda slow, though I don't know if it's painful or not. You can suppress yours, mine are always on, so trust me, you have it alot better than I do. Though both of us are doing pretty bad right now either way." Looking up, I see a new person shiver. Because of me probably. "Anyways, what about you. You have not fully introduced yourself to me yet, and I'm tarting to get used to the feeling of almost drowning, so I can pay attention better, so please, if you want to, I'd like to know about you as well, a creature that can bring death."

Valka looked over at Mauta as he watched the air bubbles float up to the surface as well. True he literally couldn't touch others, but were they really so different? She may not cause others to rot, but eventually her instincts would take over and well. Carnivores didn't exactly eat plants could they? Not that she'd actually killed anyone yet, but she did get very hungry every now and again. Valka blinked as she came back to reality. Smiling she sat up fully and crossed her legs.

"Bring death," she said sarcastically, "I guarantee it. I'm a siren. Killing is what I do. As for my past. Not much to tell. I've lived alone since I was fourteen. I've always avoided people and now I'm here. What else is there to know? You and I are more alike than different. I haven't had human contact since I was fourteen. No boyfriends. No friends. Not even a pet. The only people I put up with were my parents and teachers for a while. I've been here for two years. The only person I usually talk to is Darien. Everyone else is afraid I'll liquidy their brains with my voice."

Valka giggled expelling more bubbles and shook her head. Looking over at Mauta she decided. Leaning over she wrapped her arms around him. She could feel her cells recoil, but it seemed that the water, for the moment atleast, was protecting her from decay.

"There," she giggled leaning away, "your first hug and not a bit of harm done. Guess we found one way to fend off your powers. Not to mention you've just earned yourself a friend. A first for both of us, eh?"

"Well then, you can always count on me to be there too kill your targets." I look at her, trying to ingest her story and memorize it. Then, when my guard was a bit down, she leans up to me. I wanted to back away, but I started to ask myself if she was really going to touch me. She did, a hug, was what i got. Not much to an average person, but too me, seeing as I haven't gotten hugged in ages, I smile and laugh. "Warm...feelings...there nice" My smile fades away almost as quickly as it appeared, returning to my un amused self, but still smiling on the inside. Then looking up, it appears again, a smile that I'd lost. "Friend? Yeah..friend. My first friend." It starts to disappear again, the two thoughts are still in my head. A first loving hug, and my first friend as well. "I'm glad...I have a friend now." Breathing out, expelling even more bubbles, I'm completely used to the water now. The pain doesn't come anymore when I talk, and my iris's are returning back to white. "T-Thank you...Valka? That was your name right?"

"Ha ha ha, no that's alright, you didn't offend me, and even if you did, the annoyance would have probably dispersed after a few minutes... Though, I would like to see her try, what with my ears and eyes the way they are... could be a fun experiment, just don't punish her, if I do die, it would all be my fault, not hers. she just reacted to what I did, which is probably punish her, before hand." I told them,

"oh, and don't call me my full name, just call me X or something. I don't want to inconvenience you by having you say the numbers in my name. As I think about it, I'm not even sure how much of my original brain is even still in here." as I tap my head.

looking around, I notice the diving board, the little automated venders in the corner, and the pool cleaner, also automated. "hey, who wants some free food?"

Violets eyes slowly opened as a soft moan excaped her lips. She looked around seeing she was in a dark room filled with dolls and stuffed animals. In other words a perfect room"Violet likes." She whispered as she got up grabbing her teddy bear. She then looked at her outfit seeing herself in a black knee lenghth dress tight at the bust but flowy at the rest. She then walked barefoot to the door opening it quickly before heading out.She noticed her apearance at the mirror she glanced at. She should be scared but, at least she's away from them. She then continued walking hoping to find the owner and for her ipod.

Another shiver ran up his spine as the kid exhaled again. "X, huh, uh where are you going?" Eric sighed as X went over to the diving board, "Man, I don't want to have to dive in after you and don't tell me not to." He paused for a moment then looked at Darien, "He isn't. Seriously about to go in there is he? I'd rather not watch murder or death any more than I have to." Waiting for a reply and to see if X was about to be either drown or ripped to pieces, Eric stared after the robo-cop then at the two in the pool seeing the kid death for the first time. "Aww shit."

violet kept walking enjoying the alone time. She kept her bangs covering her eyes from some of the bright objects. She then heard a voice and moaned in sadness. It sounded to young to be an owner. She then decided to find the voice since maybe it'll know a way to find the owner. She wants her ipod back. "Violet screams 'Hello.'"She yelled loudly hoping the person will hear her.

Victor smiled as he saw events at the bottom of the pool unfold. He was glad to see Valka show some emotion other then anger. Smiling, Victor got up and walked towards the exit, casting a glance over to the guards, and couldn't help but laugh as Robo-guard headed for the diving board. "That'll be upsetting to miss." he said as he left the pool. As he got outside, he heard the girl named Violet scream hello in third person. "Well that's something new?" He said as he headed towards the girls voice. " Hope she's okay?" he whispered to himself.

Violet was walking around after yelling with a frown. Is it so hard to find someone thede days? She then saw a young guy and thought to herself, maybe he's the owner. As she was infront of him she tilted her head to the side. "Violet asks polietly 'Who are you?'"

Valka smiled warmly at Mauta and nodded aknowledging that he had used the right name. A metal clang prevented her from making any more conversation. Looking up she could see the half robotic guard making his way to the diving board. He wouldn't dare! Valka's eyes narrowed as she regarded the hulking frame of the guard. She could hear the slight him of some electrical parts in his body amplified by the water. Electricity,which did not mix well with water. Valka could feel the hair on her neck starting to stand on end. If he so much as put one metal foot in the water.....

Darien winced when he saw Valka's head snap toward X. Chuckling nervously he waved his hands at his fellow guard.

"I don't think that's a good idea," he said quickly, "please don't! Valka will be so mad!!! Please dint make her mad! I'd rather not take anyone to the hospital....o-or end up there myself."

"what is everyone looking at me for?!?!" X 3175 says as he looks to all of the people in the room, then to the diving board, "HA HA HA! You all think that I;m stupid enough to try to swim with people in water?? HA HA HA! I was only joking!" he says, as he walks past he diving board towards the venders in the corner.

"Jeez, If no one had noticed, I just offered free food... What was their problem?" he mumbles to himself, to which the AI responded, "Well, you did just theorize upon what a fun experiment jumping in the water with her would be..." "But I was still only joking, joking with a straight face, but still." He pressed on,

When he reached the venders, he yelled to Darien and Eric, "HEY! come here! I want to show you guys something!"

"Hmm" I look over, the metal guy was walking past the diving board and to the vendors. "Hmm, you wouldn't die if he jumped in. Just get knocked out for a very long time, like a day or so." Looking back, I decide to swim up and poke my head out, looking at everyone. After my head pokes out, I feel a presence, of something I despise. An abomination to even me. The living dead, has found their way to me. What will they rub it in my face, that they avoided my father. No one avoids death, even if their body is already rotting, sooner or later, death comes up with his plan, though maybe this is a test for me. To bring whatever it is here, to test me, to see if I can figure out a way to kill the living dead.
Diving quickly under, I look over at Valka. "Don't stay in to long, you might be able to breath under water, but to much chlorine can even kill a fish." Swimming back up, I take in a breath, and a few more, trying to give my body what it was screaming at me for down there. Then swimming back, the coldness of air hits me again. A feeling I missed. Getting up on the ladder, I feel that I'm already to wet, so I decide to just carry my clothes instead of taking a shower first, and begin to walk using my sixth sense in order to find the living dead person I feel.

After X proclaimed he was in fact not going into the water, Eric gave a sigh or relief. "Thank the deities." Running his fingers through his short hair he exhaled again as X called over to him. Looking over at Darien, Eric stated, "Let's go see what the crazy wants. HonestlyI think those circuits short circuit sometimes when he gets an idea." He walked around the pool over to X shaking his head a little.

On the roof of the pool room, a girl sits cross-legged, eyes closed, and ever so still. She listens carefully to all the noise of the island, and calculates. The one place people would expect a person like her to be is near water, and the island was perfect for keeping her contained... her own little death-trap.
BB opens her golden eyes slowly and then crawls to the edge of the roof. Would it hurt to fall off? Possibly. However, the security and the scientist would most likely try and save her life, they might even give her some blood if she hurt herself enough. Perhaps a running leap?
Contemplating this the girl stands and looks out over the island, out to sea.
It's not like she could swim home, so a boat would be the best option, but she hadn't come across a dock or boathouse in her short time on the island, but then, she hadn't explored much.
Looking at the ground again, BB took a few steps back and then dashed forwards, throwing herself into the air.
At least it would be something to do!
She hit the ground hard, but most of her fall was taken by a pile of dry grass and leaves, so she only gained a few minor cuts and bruises... not enough for some blood...

"Damnit..." she mumbled to herself. The pool it was then.

She entered the room and moved to the darkest corner, sitting there quietly, biding her time.

Spinning towards the voice, to find a small girl with extremely long hair. "Hi, i'm Victor, i'm guessing your Violet?" he said with a chuckle. The girl was young, he could tell that from just looking at her, her voice also gave it away, "Were you the one yelling a second ago?" He asked her politely, taking a small step towards the girl/

Violet saw him come near her and tensed. Must be instincts. "Violet spoke softly 'Yes, I am Violet.'" She gave him a small smile.

Valka pursed her lips at Mauta's words. They were true, but she still didn't take too kindly to being shocked. When he turned away she rolled her eyes and followed Mauta up to the surface. He was right about the chlorine as well which was starting to make her lungs burn. As she climbed out of the pool he watched Mauta leave. He seemed intent on getting somewhere. Almost like someone had calle him away. Strange. The other boy-she swore she would never remember hs name....Victor?-had left too. Shrugging Valka went over to a nearby shelf and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself.

"What are you guys doing," she asked Darien and the other guards flatly, "are you messing with the snack machines?"

"That's what I'm curious to see," Darien said having walked over to see what X was doing, "what exactly did you want us to see X? I hope you don't get us in trouble...."

Darien looked about the room at the cameras which were watching from every corner. He wondered if the doctors were even watching right now. Were they observing the kids outside of the labs at all? Or was it just for security?"

"Ok, now watch this..." X 3715 said, as he put his hand over the buttons. "So, anyone up for a few Snickers?" he said, as the machine started to spew a few Snickers packages, seemingly at the touch of his hand. "Or, would you like Butterfingers instead?" as the machine then started to drop Butterfingers bars.

"Well, I for one, want a coke." he said, as he walked over to the soda machine, and put his hand on the buttons. Soon after, a Coke bottle dropped out, and he opened it up, taking a deep swig from it. "Neat huh?"

Unimpressed Eric stared disappointed at X, "Yeah neat. You now owe $10 to the facility." he held out his hand to the robotic cop, "Come on man pay up." He waited a few moments before having a change of heart, "Aww, the hell with it. Get me a root beer. I could use something to wake me up." He glanced at Valka as she dried on then gave her an acknowledging nod then looked quickly away not wishing to be drawn in any way to any of the experiments. 'This is the weirdest job I've ever had. If ever I'm allowed to leave, I'll definitely have an interesting story to tell. hmm..I need to get to the boats soon.'

"Well then, here you go." as he has the machine drop a root beer. "oh, and I did nothing if anyone comes asking around for me ok?" He says with a grin on his face. "besides, they will probably just dock it from my pay." He continues looking strait at a camera, then he smiles evilly, and runs from a dead stop, strait to the pool, knowing that she, the one with the collar, had just left the pool. He shouted " Cannon ball!" as he threw himself off the diving board.

Valka scrambled back from the edge of the pool as the cyborg guard lept in sending water everywhere. It wasn't that she didn't want to get wet of course, but it was startling. Sighing she went to the edge to watch. Who knew maybe he'd end up needing help getting back to the surface with all that metal to weigh him down. Valkashook her head at the guard. He was going to end up getting himself killed. Darien on the other hand had picked up a snickers and was munching on it when his co-worker lept into the pool sending water everywhere including all over Darien and his candy bar.

"H-hey," he complained, "watch it! Jeez, now I'm going to have to change."

BB screamed in pain as the water splashed onto her skin, sending up hisses of steam, leaving red, burn-like marks on her skin. She pressed herself into the wall and did her best to be silent, but couldn't help the single high-pitched sound.
She stood and ran outside, wincing every time her bare feet touched the water, burning her. She tripped out the door and scrambled to find somewhere to hide, desperately rubbing the water from her skin, her hands reddening even more.
The worst wounds were on her legs, which had been nearest the splash, and running was too painful so she slowed to a walk and limped on-wards, not sure of where she was heading.
She found a large tree, and threw herself into the shade there, curling into a ball and weeping silently.
Perhaps hanging out near the pool hadn't been such a good idea after all?

"There..." I turn the corner slightly then walk back, peeking my head around the corner. There she is, the half dead being, standing before some other guy, he saw near the pool a few moments ago. He watched, iris's growing large again, trying to see what they felt about death as well. "Violet..and...she..hmm." Starting to figure it out, I get disturbed by a flashing light, knocking me to the ground. I remember this feeling, I have to go to the doctors office right now don't I?

Sighing, and walking over to the experiment chambers, I see multiple experiments, including Darien's wife, though I don't know her. The long walk it takes to get there is a torture to me, leaving me in anxiety, wondering what they want me for.

Victor caught the flinch and stopped "I'm sorry, are you okay?" he said holding his hands up in a peaceful manner. "Why were you welling Violet?" he asked a smile on his face.

'Damn, I cannot float, so I will have to swim even harder. It's a good thing that my parts are water proof.' X thought. as he was walking on the bottom of the pool, he looked up, and waved at the others, or at least the ones that where looking in the pool. He walked over the the ladder, and climbed out. "Well, that was refreshing!" he said, as soon as his head was over the water. He walked over the the towels, and grabbed one. He looked over at the others, and said, "What? Why are you all staring at me like I'm an idiot?" He asked, as he put on the towel.

Valka giggled at the robotic guard as he waved at them from the botom of the pool. He was certainly excentric for someone who was part robot. Maybe he could be a friend of sorts. Did his robotics prevent him from having feelings of jealousy or obsession? It was certainly something worth looking into. As he came up and dried off Valka smiled at him curiously. Across the room Darien sighed in exhasperation.

"I swear you're missing some wires or something," he said shaking his head at X, "I've never in my life met someone who is suicidal, but happy. Not to mention you don't seem to mind dragging everyone around you into whatever trouble you caused. Ugh, I smell like chlorine now......eh no offense Valka."

"None taken," Valka said shaking her head, "frankly I think it's kind of funny. Besides you needed something to cover up some of that cologne. Going to go see Lilliana later?"

Darien smiled bashfully and rubbed the back of his neck. He always tried to look his best and act his best on days he went to see Lilly. Valka didn't envy this at all. He had started to treat his own wife like a deity. It was true she could bring life back to things that used to have it, but this drained her of her own energy. Perhaps her own life was taken as well. She never really seemed to recover very well after bringng things back from what Valka had seen. She never really talked to Lilliana, but the woman always seemed a bit sad. It mad Valka angry. She had a good man who cared about her and she made him feel bad enough that he was starting to worship her. Valka frowned. Disgusting.

After the few minutes there were, it was only for more blood samples and eye exams, regular and spirit. Almost as if it were a routine check up, he gave me a piece of sugar free candy, and shoved me on my way. As if I was a kid and this was my first check up, except the candy was rigged. I knew this by now, that it was supposed to do two things for me. One; To keep my mind Sane and Two; To suppress my hormones, to keep me from going through the emotional experience called puberty, keeping me neutral. They thought about it, a death with emotional problems would be bad, so it keeps me from doing something stupid.

Now on my way back, I again pass Darien's wife, she gives me a slight wave. We are to be far apart, seeing that she is for Life, and I am for Death. The doctor experimenting on her, decides to give me a note to pass on. Nodding, I take it, and continue on my way back to the pool, deciding to deliver the note quickly to Darien, so that I may speak with the undead girl again.

Walking once again into the pool area, my body jumps for joy again, as the colder air comes to me. I then immediately walk to Darien, knowing it's him by hearing his name the first time Valka said it. "Here, Life gave this too me, take it quickly." Looking down at the note seems to be losing it's luster. "I have other things to do Rent-a-cop"

BB, laying under the tree still, decided she was strong enough to move again. Water was her worst enemy, and could kill her if she remained in it too long. Sitting up slowly, she moved her cold limbs and decided to warm herself up.
They had no idea what the extent of her powers were... perhaps it was time she showed them?

Standing back from the tree, BB focused her energy into her palms, and then pressed them into the bark. The bark started to spew black smoke, and soon caught alight. Pushing the flames harder, she forced them up, into the branches, and let the whole tree burn.

Smoke alarms went off around her, a red flashing light on the nearest building. She warmed herself in the fire, and sat, leaning against the trunk, waiting for someone in authority to notice.

If she was going to be a prisoner here, she wasn't going to make it easy.

Upon being splashed, Eric shook his head nearly dropping his soda, "Ah! What the?! That wasn't what I had in mind for a wake up call, but I guess that works!" He laughed a little then watched X as he walked the bottom of the pool. He leaned over toward Darien, "No kidding."

"Well, Im going to go outside now! Who wants to join me?" X said, as he walked to the edge of the pool and stuck his hand in, sucking water into a hidden container. "I'm going to see if I can get the CO to scream." as he walked outside. Hearing the fire alarm, He thought to Kozou, 'What is that about? why and where did the fire start?' He leaned back into the pool room, and called," HEY guys! the fire alarm's goin' off! I'm Gonna go put it out before trying to get the CO to scream!!!" and walked quickly away, as the AI told him where to go.

When he reached the plaza, He saw the tree on fire, and the girl sitting next to it. He yelled, "Hey! you! Get away from the tree!" as he ran forward, and readied his arm, with the water in it, to spray the tree down.

Valka looked up from her musings when Mauta came back into the pool area giving him a quiet smile she waved. It was nice to have met someone she could trust and call a friend. When he handed Darien a note she could already see it was from Lilliana. Sighing she turned her head to look away from Darien and then the alarms went off. Fire? But where? She couldn't smell any smoke, but perhaps it was just farther away than she was thinking. Good atleast it wasn't near her. When X leaned back into the room and shouted about finding the fire Valka looked up at Darien hoping he wasn't going to follow him. She hated fire.

Darien jumped when Mauta appeared and handed him the note. He hadn't been expecting him to appear so abruptly and be standing so close. He could already feel the hairs on his arm starting to curl. Reaching out he quickly took the note and nodded his thanks to the kid. Why did Valka have to befriend him? He was so creepy. Sighing Darien looked at the note. Lilly wouldn't be able to see him today. The doctors had her under quarantine. Just a small cold, she said. Shouldn't last more than a week. Darien slowly crumpled the note in him hand. He hated the doctors. They always found some excuse if they could to stop him from seeing Lilly.

"Damned doctors," he cursed, "this is ridiculous

When X started shouting about a fire Darien looked up and finally heard the alarm. Looking over at Valka he motioned for her to stay there and ran after his robotic co-worker. Arriving at the fire he saw another of the patients sitting against the burnig tree. He recognized her from a file he'd seem in one of the doctor's offices. It had mentioned something of her starting fires, but this was ridiculous!

BB sat up and waggled her fingers at the metal man and smiled a wide grin, flames licking over her skin, but doing no damage. She stood and danced in the fire, giggling away to herself.

"You're not allowed to spray me with water mister! You'd kill me and you're not allowed to do that! But if you want the fire put out that bad... I'll do it for ya!"

She skips into the centre of the fire, unharmed, and raised her arms over her head and then dropped her hands quickly to her sides and the flames instantly dimmed into embers and smoke. With a final wave of her arms, BB extinguished the last of the fire and skipped out of the charred bushes.

"So... can I like... leave now? I don't wanna be here, I got stuff to do..."

"So, let down?" Though not interested in the slightest, it's still courtesy to ask someone if there feeling down. At least in my mind. I don't wait for a valid answer, my attention now to Valka to return the kind smile she gave me with a wave back to her. Simple, quaint, though a caring wave back to her. Though then I see her turn away from me. 'Did I do something?' my thoughts start to become clouded and angry, though cleared up by the fact of Darien's facial expression. Mostly Valka didn't want to see him like he was now, though soon, I wouldn't be any better.

"Hmm,...fire?" I hear them, screaming in my ear and I cover them from the noise. Never, have I heard such an annoying sound come from this place, or anyplace from memory. "That's a fire Alarm?!" Then, trying to figure out the source. Heat, that's what I shall look for, though Darien seems to know where it is coming from, so instead I follow him. 'Please stop it , Please stop it' That thought continues to go through my head, wanting this loud noise to stop, though every time I become closer, the noise becomes louder for some odd reason. By the time I've reached there, it is the loudest, though stops when I look over at the girl who caused it.

"...Your, a-" I then can hear the real fire alarm , and it's not as annoying as the thing I was just experiencing. Maybe, she was the cause of the noise I heard in my head. "Y-you..I can't tell your death either." My head hurts, as my eyes again grow wide to examine her. She is, not nearly like me. It was a false alarm. Death, the Harbinger, is a cold being with very little emotion, somewhat few words, and a physical user. She, a Hellfire, is heat, with much emotion in her, she speaks sarcastically, and can use fire. "W-wicked girl..." I back up a little, not from fear, though I just may get into a fight with her, from just shear hatred.

"If you are afraid of water like that... I know just how to punish you. No. One. Messes. With. The. Compound. Or. My. Authority." X says as his eyes go cold, him falling back on his robotic parts to emphasis his feelings, and he walks up and grabs the young lady by the scruff of her neck, and picked her up, with the hand that had the water in it. He then started to let one drop of water at a time seep out onto her skin a few seconds between them, as he carried her to the detention center, scanning his records of which cell would be hers if she misbehaved.

Looking away, towards Darien and the little kid, scowling and hating himself for what he had to do. It showed in the scowl.He was thinking that it was horrible what he had to do, especially to a young lady, but still, orders where orders... And authority was supposed to be there for a reason. It was supposed to assist with order, and safety, to give roles to everyone.

Not concerned with the fire, Eric stayed in thought about boat patrol and how he hoped no one would be dumb enough to try and escape. He'd seen enough violence in his life, which made him question why he even stayed here. Putting his hands in his pockets, he slowly walked out of the pool area past a few "guests" as he prefers to think of them deeper into the compound nearer to the labs. With a sigh he felt as if he were being watched. He assumed it must simply be the cameras and kept walking into a darkening hallway.

BB squealed and fought against X, kicking and scratching to no effect. Her eyes blazed with red-gold fire and she cried out from the droplets of water, fighting even harder.
She placed her hands on X's grip her hands starting to glow.

"If you don't let me go, right now, I will melt you into spare parts!" She places one of her hands on his arm and leaves a small red hot hand print behind.

"You gave to let me go! He'll die if I don't go back! Please don't let my brother die!"

Still wriggling, BB glared at X, and then at everyone watching. She paled at the sight of a boy, glaring at her. He was a Reaper of some kind... but she had no quarrel with him, but perhaps a question.

"Hey! Is my brother dead? Did mother kill him? Can you tell me, do you know?!"

"Your brother?" I look at her in a dazed look now, as I was still in my ow world of not liking her for one reason or another until she then asked me something that changed the way I think about her. Something that reminds me of her human side, and mine as well. Her family, her brother, is he dead. The mother killing him, my pupils become wider as I study her, as they finally come to cover my whole sclera, my eye fully white I actually finish a study, and I know how everything she knows about death. What she's experienced, and how much she's gone through.

'Hey! Is my brother dead? Did mother kill him? Can you tell me, do you know?!' She yells at me, almost in a pleading tone. Hoping that I knew. It brings a tear in my eye too see her like this, as it also reminds me of my family. The loneliness I went through as a kid after losing my parents. I look through information given to me, to try and help her. "I...I-" I find it, what happened to her brother. There's a pattern here, that I somehow become related to everyone here. Valka, is the one who got me captured, though she was not the first who called for me. "Vixen, you've called for me as well, your brother too, though I can't leave here yet." My voice becomes darker, colder, with little emotion to it, trying to get this memory correct. The area around me gets colder, that even the sun cannot pierce through this cold. The ashes of the fire freeze, along with the tips of plant life "Your brother is not in my hands anymore, since I'm trapped here. I'm sorry."

My pupils begin to return to their normal state, as the heat begins to come back from outside. "Everyone here, has maybe called for me. For death, that's how I know her..." AS the sun comes through my cold area, and shines onto me, my body quickly makes a maneuver to put my hood on. This girl, no everyone, has there human side to them still. Even if they wont show it, they do. With this in mind another maneuver, as I place my hand toward the cyborg. "I'll turn you into a full robot if you don't let her go, I'll destroy your human parts...all of them." The guards here, do not nor will never understand what we go through every single day with this place. So what if we have a so called paradise here? It's still a prison, in which no one wants to be in. I then look at Darien. He knows not to touch me already, I believe he's scared of me actually so no worries about him. Just this one in front of me, and the one target. "Let Vixen go."

"... But she broke the rules... I have to punish her... My job says that I do..." X says to the kid threatening him, and even though his mind says that he is just a harmless child, his body knows him for what he is, in part, because his soul was snatched from the hands of his father... 'Why am I even listening to this kid?' he thinks to himself, even as he sets the girl down, and backs away, with his hands in the air, the super shilled air, making his mind, the robotic part, and his motorized parts run faster. Feeling both relieved that he did not have to hurt anyone, and that someone felt the same, that this place, although nice, was still a prison and fear for his life, or what was left of it...

BB/Vixen runs over to the Reaper boy and bows low to him in thanks, her own slight tears burning her skin... she couldn't even allow herself to cry... She says nothing, just stares at him for a few moments and then bites her thumb, drawing blood. She quickly draws a symbol on her palm in her own blood, and then offers her hand to the boy.

"A contract of loyalty. I owe you, so you may call upon me to do whatever you wish in the future. And... thank you."

She waits for his reaction, knowing that although her demon half would be immune to his deadly talents, her human side would not be. Should he touch her it would hurt, but at least she wouldn't die...

Valka had come running from the pool past Victor and Violet when she heard the screams of another patient. Peeking from the corner she could see the robotic guard dropping water onto a girls skin which left burn marks on her skin. Valka felt her heart stop and her eyes widened in fear. Grabbing at her shirt she stared at the girl. What could she do? What could she do?! If she touched the girl they would both burn, Valka still a bit wet from the pool and also being an aquatic half breed. If she screamed she would choke to death and there was no garantee it would hurt the guard at all, but it would certainly hurt everyone else. Then Mauta stepped in and the guard released the girl. Gasping Valka sat down heavily on the floor her body shaking from her fear.

She didn't know why, but the thought of any of the other patients dying terrified her. Placing a hand over her mouth she started to sob tears streaming down her face. She didn't know why, but she was so happy that the girl was still alive. Happy that the guard hadn't killed her. Happy that Mauta, the very reincarnation of death, had felt compassion and saved the girl. Even if they were polar opposites, she was glad she was alive.

Darien looked back and forth between X and the girl as his robotic co-worker tortured the young girl. He wanted to say something. To stop X, but what was he supposed to say? What was he supposed to do? It was their duty to punish the patients if they misbehaved, but was this getting out of control? Darien opened his mouth, but no words came and the girls screams rent the air. Then he heard someone gasp. Turning around he stared shocked at the sounds origin. Valka? Darien glanced back at X and the girl. What should he do?! Then the death kid stepped in and made X back off. Sighing shakily Darien went over to Valka and crouched down to where she sat crying.

"H-hey it's ok," he said trying to be reassuring, "everything is going to be ok."

Looking over at Mauta he nodded in respect for what the boy had done. He didn't care if it made the doctors angry. It had been the right thing to do.

"Thank you...I'll take my punishment later. In that room..." I shiver a bit, even for me, being scared of a full punishment room they built for me. Still, I'm somewhat glad that he put her down, that she didn't have to experience pain anymore, and that everyone was being either happy, or lenient to my decision to help the girl. For me, a harbinger, to show compassion and help the girl out. A small grin appears on my face, as the girl runs to me, and bows.

She stares at, while I take a moment to identify her, knowing who she was on the outside. Taking in her facial features, hair, skin without burns, and eyes. Though I'm quickly turned to look over behind me, to Valka, a siren, another person who has called me,. She is, crying? Does she have the somewhat compassion that I did in that moment for her fellow patient in this place? Maybe, just maybe. I also catch eye of the nod Darien gave me, and I turn back again, my grin still there. I'm getting somewhat praised for what I did, by everyone in this area. I'm glad, it is working out the way it is.

Her hand reaches to her mouth, and she draws blood, and makes a somewhat familiar symbol on her hand I know, though somehow do not know. "A contract of loyalty? Whatever I want?" I look at her hand, now reached out too me, and back away from it. "I didn't do this so I could have something in return. I did it because...I don't remember. I didn't like to see someone like me, being hurt. Though...if you want me to make the contract, leave it on your hand until I return." Smiling, now, my body somehow makes it's way to the robotic guard, my head now down to the ground. "Please, take me to the sun chamber...I-I want to get my punishment over with." I tell him, leaving my arms at my side.

"... uh, ok... What ever you say, little guy, but she should come too, I think... since she burned the tree..." X says in confusion,wondering what he should do. And since he doubted that anyone else knew what he was feeling, he said, impulsively, "I didn't want to hurt her... Not really, I hate that I have to punish anyone. For any reason. Its against my nature... I just hope that no one else thinks lower than I do of myself, right now..." as he scans the records for the kid's punishment cell... and thinking that as soon as he could he would apologize to the girl, both for hurting her, and for even feeling anger at all.

BB grins, she loves the sun chamber. With her talents it isn't really a punishment, more like relax therapy. Putting her hand in the air, she shouts at the robotic man;

"I'll go too! I have to go to the sun chamber too!"

She grins even wider inside. Perhaps this way she could repay the Reaper, and halt his punishment altogether... she could absorb the heat, and then expel it once she got back out... if only X wouldn't realise that...?

Valka's head shot up when she heard Mauta asking for his punishment. Gently pushing Darien back she walked over to X her face in an angry frown.

"Don't you dare punish him," she hissed angrily, "what he did was right and you know it. If you punish him I swear I will kill you."

"Valka don't say that," Darien said walking over to her and placing a hand on her shoulder, "just stop ok? We don't need any more of you to be punished."

"None of us need to be punished," Valka shrieked the choker quicklty tightening against her neck, "we haven't done anything wrong! It's not like....*cough* she burnt down the facility!......*gag* She burned a tree and Mauta.....*gasp* he saved her!.....*cough cough* *gasp* just leave them............p-please............."

Darien reached out and caught Valka as she fainted. He hadn't tried to atop her because he knew it wouldn't help. Lifting her over his shoulder he looked at X and sighed.

"Maybe she's right," he said, "maybe we should just let them be. Just send them to their rooms....like normal people. Why do we do this, X? Do the doctors want us to break them?.....I should know the answer to that. I wish we could just let them go........"

"Hmm, you didn't huh? Maybe it was you machine parts, might wanna get them checked." I tell him, then begin to walk away. "You security guards a bit soft, you guys need more training. I'm going to go for something to eat then since you know, you aren't going to do anything about this little thing. Since I can pretty much send all of you into some form of coma when touch me, or you probably will just die, either way I'll get off scot free and you wont do anything." Anger, is probably what got him to do that. The girl being disobedient, and threatening almost everyone here. I wonder just how much anger has to be in one person to be able to do that. Still, I don't mind pain, since I seemingly cannot die. Though Im wondering just what human parts allow me otherwise?

Stoping and looking over at the four, standing there, and Valka passing out. Again, she will not die from this, for I'm not even being the least bit called. It seems like this place will have alot of pain going on in it. The so called paradise is slowly falling into the ocean like the Titanic. One of my father's greatest reaping. I wonder if this will be my titanic? With those thoughts I continue to stare at Valka, and smile a bit while now turning to Vixen. "We all now know you like heat, seeing as you can literally catch on fire and not burn. Besides, the room was built for me, not you. Though punishments aren't really served here. I maybe could kill a doctor, and get away with it, because of the people here."

Turning back around, I begin to head to the cafeteria, my smile dulling, and going back to my soulless look, though half way down the hall, I spot Violet, the girl who I think, maybe couldn't die. The one who think's she has escaped me, death incarnate. Though, I've gotten a new perspective about things now, so I wonder about something that's on my mind. So far, two of the people I've warned about touching, know not to touch me unless under special circumstances. So I wonder about her, will she be able to touch me. This in mind, from behind her, I take my finger, and place it on her shoulder, waiting for a reaction.

Vixen pouts a little and skips off towards Valka... she wonders if she can do anything for her, but instantly realises that if one were to touch the other, then they would both die. She looks up at Darien, concern in her golden eyes.

"What's wrong with her? Is she sick? Can I help? ... Who's Lilliana...?"

She frowns... wondering herself about that information. She'd heard the name around, and knew they were connected, but she wondered how... and what Lilly was capable of. Vixen tugged on his sleeve, looking for all the world like an innocent child... though she was a lot older than she looked, she liked to play up to her little girl looks.

Dr. Julia Stevens sat at her station in her lab working on a new connector design for a mechanical arm occassionally pausing to take a drink of her massive mug of coffee. On one such occassion, she happen to glance up a the monitor mounted in the corner to see X holding a patient in the air dripping water upon her flesh burning her. Interested by this, Julia watched and was astonished to see X lower the girl after a boy exchanged words with him. Frowning to herselft, she flipped a small silver switch upon her station sending a silent signal to X informing him to take the girl to her room for punishment then report to Dr. Julia Stevens lab immediately. Shifting in her seat she went back to her work somewhat patiently waiting for X to cross the threshold of her lab. Absently, she took another drink then worked slightly faster despite her now constant glances from the monitor to her doorway.
'I hope he wiring isn't loose again.' She sighed at the thought yet found herself excited at the thought of working on her favorite success story.

[Pineapples]

The bright red numbers blinked urgently as the shrill beeping pierced Ailani's sensitive ears. It's loud cry was cruely interupted by a feminine hand swiping at it, sending it crashing into a wall. Ailani rose from her bed, placing her small feet on the floor. She chuckled as she recalled the things her mother would have said this particular morning.

"Ailani Harmony Vallenka! If you destroy another alarm clock, I swear, I'm gonna grab my belt and give you the whoppin of a lifetime.

"Yes, Mama."

Ailani sighed angrily. She missed home so much. Ailani got dressed in camoflaouge cargo pants and a crimson red tanktop. She threw on her black sweatshirt with a picture of Gumball, Darwin, and Anais Waterson printed on the front. Ailani put her jet-black hair into a high bun and placed the two chopsticks in it. She slipped on her combat boots, grabbed her soccer ball, and left her room. As she headed outside, she grumbled angrily about mornings. Ailani got outside and began practicing her ball techiniques.

upon receiving the message, X cursed to himself, then said,sadly, "Hey, girl, I just got ordered to take you to your punishment room, by someone higher up than even me..." And walked forward, and gently picked her up, and started to walk away, saying, "The message came from Dr. Stevens, she wants you punished." and sighed. getting sad again, at the thought of pain being given to her.

He takes the girl to her special cell, and locked her in, setting the timer and degree for the settings specified by the doctor. He then made his way to her lab, wondering just what her plan was for him this time.

Valka had woken up as the girl who had been tortured came over and asked if she could help. Her looks made her seem fairly young, but something in the girl's eyes told Valka otherwise. Staring at her silently Valka let her body regain it's senses. Darien barely realizing his charge had awakened so quickly blinked at the girl a couple times and gave her a dumbfounded look. So many things were happening at once.

"U-uh I don't," Darien stammered, "I mean.....sorry. She's.....Lilliana......she's my wife...er not-"

"Darien can you set me down," Valka said breaking off his stammering, "I'm alright now. Thank you though....both of you. What was your name again? I'm sure I've heard it before, but I've never really paid attention to other people before."

Darien quietly obeyed Valka who's eyes didn't look at the girl as she spoke. She wasn't entirely sure if this girl could fall under her "charm" but it was best not to try one luck, yes? Darien frowned at Valka wishing she wasn't so afraid of the world in the way which she had become. She had closed herself away from everyone else and even now she was employing a tactic to do the same. Then X came and took the girl away apparently having been messaged by one of the doctors. While Darien wasn't watching Valka snuck after the robotic guard intent on preventing the girl from being harmed. She knew he probably knew she was there, but when he went into the hall where te punishment cells were she turned a different way going towards the doctors instead. Stopping by Lilliana's room she waved to the doctor who was preforming some tests on here and he let Valka in with a weary sigh.

"Just don't get in my way," he snapped as Valka entered, "I'm working on something very important here."

"Of course," Valka said politely sitting down against the wall across from Lilliana, "I won't be a bother. How are you today Lilly?"

"I'm doing alright Valka," Lilliana said softly smiling warmly at thte young girl, "You seem more upbeat than usual. Something happen today?"

"I made a new friend," Valka said with a small shrug, "maybe more. I'm not sure yet. You probably wouldn't like the one I'm sure is my friend though."

"Why not," Lilliana asked cocking her head to the side, "I like you. What would possibly make me dislike anyone who is your friend?"

"Well he's kind of....," Valka bit her lip and started twirling a strand of hair around her finger, "he's kind of death incarnate, so I don't think you two would get along well."

"Nonsense," Lilliana giggled, "just because we can't physically touch doesn't mean I wouldn't like him."

"Well maybe you guys can meet one day," Valka said happily, "he's really nice....anyway I'd better go Darien is probably looking for me. I'll tell him you said hi."

Valka quickly ran out the door and bck down the hall. Checking that the coat was clear she proceeded to the punishment rooms. She knew it took a bit for the machines that provided the punishment to warm up so the girl would still be fine for a minute or so more. Pulling out the swipe card she had stolen from Darien a few moments earlier she unlocked the door and waved for the girl to hurry out.

"Come on," she said, "before someone catches us. I know were to hide until they simmer down."

Feeling slightly lost Eric scratched his head. After a few minutes,Eric paused as he heard movement up ahead to his right. With a sense of curiousity and potential danger, Eric slowly moved forward pressed his back against the cool wall then looked around the corner to see Valka letting a girl out of her cell. Immediately, Eric drew his batton, rounded the corner, and swiftly approached the girls.

"Hey! Get back where you belong!" Getting closer he recognized Valka causing him to hesitate slightly yet he kept a firm expession. "Don't bother." He stated to the fire girl then looked at Valka, "I assume Darien doesn't know where you are, but I hope you are going to fix this by going back to him leaving her in her cell." He motioned at BB as he spoke.

Dr. Stevens glanced up for the 50th time when she spotted X traveling her way on the monitor. She gave a small smirk then sat back finally satisfied on her work of the connector. She leaned back in her seat and stretched hearing several joints pop and crack. Julia loved that noise sometimes, it reminded her of hydrolics and how the muscle attaches to the tissue.
'I hope this new material works otherwise this connector is near useless.' With that thought Julia set her arms gently fall to her sides then continued to wait for X to enter her doorway.

Vixen looked up from her punishment room and saw the watery girl from before waving at her. She was instantly up and out from under the dripping water, and through the door. She looked up at the camera and snapped her fingers at it, using the electrics inside to create a spark and short-out the mechanisms.

"Thanks... but they'll have seen you helping me... we'll need to hide until they give up wanting to punish us both. Let's run!"

Vixen quickly wrapped her sleeve around her bare hand and then grabbed Valka's with it. She pulled the other girl along, out of the doors of the punishment center, and into the open air.

Glancing around quickly she look a wide path that led downhill slightly, and spotted the docks at the bottom of it. Running in that direction, and still dragging Valka, she reached the wooden platforms and pushed her saviour towards the sea.

"You can go, you know, out there... and you'll be free... go now. I'll steal a boat, hide it and then get as many of the others as I can. We'll meet you somewhere... right?"

Vixen looked uncomfortable standing on the bobbing dock. The lapping of the water made her feel ill, and how she could escape the island... well, she wasn't sure she could do it after all.

Victor stood beneath the tree watching Vixen run by with Valka. "What the heck?" He said running after them, but he stopped a bit back, and dived behind some bushes. They were trying to escape? but the collars? they wouldn't get far before they stopped them. Standing up, "I don't think that's a good idea..." He said walking to the start of the dock. "You need to come back otherwise.... who knows what they might do too you too... please, come back.." He said offering his hand.

Ailani watched as two girls ran away. A boy ran after them, headed towards the dock. Ailani stopped the ball with her foot and grabbed it before racing off behind them. As she got to the docks she heard the boy tell them it wasnt a good idea to leave and that they should come back.

"I agree. Did you guys forget we have tracking collars?" Ailani cut in.

Valka could barely get her thoughts together to speak as the other girl pulled her along to where ever they were running. The guard Eric had yelled for her to leave the girl be and before she could even comply the girl had grabbed her and started running. When the docks came in to view her thoughts raced with terror. If she even touched the water she knew the doctors would have her choker tightened and send guards out to retrieve her.

"You can go, you know, out there... and you'll be free," the girl said pushing her towards the water, "go now. I'll steal a boat, hide it and then get as many of the others as I can. We'll meet you somewhere... right?"

Valka shied back from the water and opened her mouth to speak wen the boy from earlier, Victor was his name, came out from the bushes asking them to come back so they wouldn't get in trouble. Reaching out she grabbed his hand and placed herself behind him not wanting to get to close to the water though her instincts pushed her towards it. If she stayed here without something or someone to keep her from jumping in she knew she would. Looking at the other girl she bit her lip ashamedly.

"I-I know you mean well," she said quietly, "but Victor is right. We can't leave as long as we have these collars on. If I so much as touch the water while Darien isn't here then it will choke me until I pass out and I'll be in the same situation I've always been. Leaving now won't get us anywhere......I-if we could some how get them off or break them without anyone noticing, then........"

Valka bit her lip again hoping someone would know how to break them or even have an idea to get them off of the island of their own. She wanted to leave and if she had others to help then doing so was so much closer than it had been before.

I hear a yelling, and guards running over to the Docks. "A mass escape? No, I'm not even that stupid..." Saying this, I decide to stay out of the way on this one, and walk back to my room. "I'll be there if called, though no sooner...good luck. I hope you live..." Saying this I feel something. I am being called there, for one reason or another I don't know why. Stopping dead in my tracks, I turn around and begin to walk to the docks, unconsciously, and a scythe appearing in my hands, though seems almost designed for me, with white stripes curving up too the pole. The sharped curved metal is pure white, with a black glyph on both sides. One somewhat familiar to the one Vixen is from, and a heavenly one on the other side.

"More neicasse est qi invocavurut....' I say in a foreign language though it isn't even from this earth. Eventually, I pass the guards, and make it too the docks, slowly walking up too them. After I appear near them, I sit down, criss crossed, my weapon now laying across my lap. I don't speak to any of them, I just wait, and wait there, not acknowledging either of them at all.

X fianally gets to the doctors "lab", and leans in, saying, "What is it you want to modify on me this time?" He then continues on in, and sits on the nearest open surface, her desk.

Vixen looks at her feet and bites her lip... she had forgotten about the collars, and just then she realised that she'd put her saviour in danger... she looked around at them all.

"I'm sorry... I... I didn't, I just... I'm sorry..." her lip trembles but she holds back the tears... trying to think of another way out, was there anyway to deactivate the collars? Did anyone know? Looking around she spies her previous friend, the Reaper.

She calms... a sudden crazy but possible idea racing through her head.

"Kill me... kill my human half... leave me soulless, and I'll break our chains, I'll be able to use my full powers and stop them... Kill me Reaper, before they reach us."

She stares at him, gold eyes wide with fear... and with trust.

"N-no," Valka screamed pushing past Victor and grabbing Vixen's arm, "please-ah!"

Quickly releasing the girl she held her now burned hand and stared at her pleadingly. She had no way to stop the other girl without harming them both, but she couldn't just stand by and watch her kill herself. Even if it was just her human half.

"That should never be an option," Valka said sounding panicky, "for any of us. There has to be another way. If anyone of us were to lose what is human in us.....who knows what would happen? We might become just like our other half.....we might even kill each other....No it's not an option."

Darien nearly rounded the corner right into the group of teenagers as they gathered near the docks. Flattening himself against the building he listened closely trying not to be seen or heard. He needed to convince them not to leave and to just accept their punishment for the escapade. It seemed that Valka and the boy, Victor, whom they had met earlier were trying to convince the fire girl, Vixen, not attempt leaving. Sighing in relief Darien began to lower the taser he had upholstered hoping to not need the weapon.

"......I-if we could some how get them off or break them without anyone noticing, then........"

These words made Darien freeze. They were actually thinking of it. Even Valka. They were trying to leave. In the chaos he was the only guard who knew. He needed to stop them quickly.

'But do I really want them to stay,' his conscience asked in response, 'do I really want them to be tortured and tested like animals?'

'No,' he replied back, 'but it's my job. If I don't......If I don't then they might hut Lilly.'


'No they couldn't risk it,' his conscience huffed in annoyance, 'she's too important. Do what is right Darien. They are only teenagers. Help them. They don't belong here.'

Letting out a deep breath Darien holstered his taser and stepped out in view of the teenagers.

"You guys shouldn't be out here," he said walking up to them, "much less talking about leaving.......or dying......you guys don't belong here though......god, I just don't want any of you to get in trouble. You have no idea the extent the doctors would go through to keep you..........If you're all bent on leaving though........I-........I'll help."

Vixen holds her arm where Valka had grabbed it, the skin red and sore. She looks up at the guard who approaches, and she is instantly suspicious. What guard in this place you want to help them, the abominations of the world...?

"How can we know what your saying is true... if you really are going to help us, you'll take the collars off right? And off Lilly too?"

She hides the excitement inside, not giving away her hope that could be so easily shattered. All she want to do is go home, but she can't leave behind all those who might need her.

"What do you guys think? Can we trust him? Valka, you two are close, what's the story with him?"

Victor spun as Darien came around the corner. "I thought for a second you were Robo-cop... I thought we were screwed...." Looking at Darien carefully "Are you serious?" I exclaim! If he can get us out of here.... I could go home. Victor stopped himself though. It was way too good to be true. "How would we get out of here? The other guards would stop you. We wouldn't get far before they caught us... Or killed us..." Victor said... a bleak look crossing his face.

A faint bleep, inside X's head, warns him that the AI wanted his attention. He gave it to the AI, and it said,"Sir, The experiments are making an escape attempt. And security guard Darien is assisting them." To which he responded with, "Well, delete the data on the cameras, and set them into a loop of clear space from the memory, oh, and get me in contact with them." in his mind, allowing the AI access. A few moments later, the cameras were reset, and on loops, and he had a direct patch to the speakers at the location of the kids and Darien. He sent the message mentally, relying on the AI to get the message to go through the speakers.

The message was this, "Hey, If you guys can hear me, This is X as the guard with you knows, and to the rest of you I'm the robo-cop, he,he,he, anyway, you should trust him, he is on your side, as am I, I also have hacked my way into all of your brain implants, and can feel your untrusting feelings and other feelings. He is wanting to help you, let him. I have done all I can on my end, but I will keep you all hidden, and join you when I can. Trust us, I will join you, as soon as the strange robotics loving scientist woman is done messing with my parts. This message come strait from my mind, so as not to alert her. Good luck on your escape, but If you do get caught, Me and Darien did not help you, this is for your safety as well as our own, for if you get caught, we can assist you with a later attempt. X out"

"If you leave you die" Telling them this bluntly, thats what I was waiting for Darien to say. The cause of death for Vixen is the water, The aqua is vixens last try to survive and will explode the ship, leading a sharp object to pierce Valka, The Succubus will die trying to save both, in the end he will be dragged down with the bodies, Darien will die also trying to save them, though getting captured and punished until he eventually dies from it. All of you die if you leave right now..." Telling them this, I've seen it, though it slightly changes because I told them, but the end is still pretty much the same. "X will have his parts removed, and will become a full robot if he acts too."

Looking over at all of them I stand up, and spin my scythe a bit. "I will have too reap all of you if you continue, and I cannot interfere with destiny no further than this. Stay or die, your choice. What will it be?" Asking this I ready my weapon to follow them if they do leave, though to put it away if they decide to stay. "Darien once your gone, Liliana will not die, she will just get experimented on more. They are backing off because your here, and because you might try to break out and tell someone seeing this as inhumane. Plus she will probably kill herself if you die, think about that. Valka, your my first friend, I don't want too reap you just yet, I saved Vixen for a reason, and it wasn't to throw her life away. X, your an android, yeah. You nearly died once, don't give away your life so easily."

Vixen pales... she would die if she tried to escape...? She would end up killing them all...? She felt so guilty, even though nothing had happened yet...

"But we can't stay here... Will we ever be able to escape? I don't want to die, though I will if I have to, but not at their expense too. Do you foresee a time when it will be safe to escape?"

She stares at her feet, not wanting to look anyone in the eye, and bites her lip. She carefully wraps her shirt around her arms and hugs Valka and Victor.

"Sorry for nearly getting you killed..."

Valka stood pensively thinking things out as Mauta explained what would happen if they tried to leave she had been quite startled by X coming over the speakers, but Mauta's words had shocked her in to focus. All of us? But why? Could it be true?

"But why," Valka asked quietly, "why would we all die? Who says we all have to die if we leave now? Who is it that calls the shots cause I don't particularly care for their decision."

Valka's eyes started to go dead as she grew more and more infuriated. Glaring at the ground she did nothing as Vixen's arms wrapped around her, feeling nothing but numb and cold against the warmth of Vixen's arms.

"No," Valka growled her fists clenching by her sides, "I can't accept that. It's not fair! IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!"

Valka gagged as the choker around her neck tightened painfully cutting off her air supply. Tearing frantically at he choker Valka began slipping farther into the bestial side of her siren nature. Shrieking at the top of her lungs Valka tore at her collar digging into her own flesh and staining the blue lace of the choker a dark purple. Darien nearby clutched at his ears trying his best to block out the pain caused by the shrill, piercing shrieks coming from his charge.
Suddenly a snap sounded and the screaming stopped. Looking over he could see that the choker had tightened enough to snap her Adam's apple causing her to begin to asphyxiate. Darien lept into action as Valka, still fighting to breathe, reached out for his help. Lying her on the ground he pulled a knife out of his belt and quickly slid it under the choker. He could feel the taser charges placed in the choker for just such occasions preparing to send electricity up his arm, but persisted to cut at the choker anyway. It wasn't about escaping anymore. It was about saving a life. As the choker finally broke Darien looked up at Valka's face just in time to see her eyes roll into the back of her head. Heaving her off of the ground he stood and turned toward the facility.

"Come on," he shouted at the others, "if you can leave now then go back to your rooms immediately. Don't leave them until you are instructed otherwise and don't speak of this. If anyone asks what happened to Valka don't tell them. Say you weren't there. Vixen I will get the doctors to pardon your behavior. I promise you won't have to enter the punishment room again. Just get back to your rooms. Now!"

Without waiting for a response Darien rushed off towards the doctors constantly checking to make sure Valka was still in his arms as he could barely feel anything from the taser charges. They were nothing like a real taser gun, but they were just enough to deter anyone not committed to removing the choker and would certainly leave that person feeling numb. Slamming into the door to Dr. Stevens' office he stopped in the doorway panting and looking for the words to say. She needed help fast.

"Please," he gasped, ".........help......"

[Mori]

Dr. Stevens gave X a quizzical ezpression as he appeared to be zoned out, "What's wrong, John? Initiating your AI again?" She stood and walked to his side as she spoke. "I hoped you would let me tamper with the connector of your right arm since you complain about it so much. The was a long pause where silence filled the room when suddenly the guard Darien burst into the room carrying patient Valka unconscious in his arms.

Julia jumped and took a step backward as he burst in. Startled and shocked she looked at him then to Valka and took a quick breath then appraoched them quickly.
"Lay her upon the table over there." She directed gaining her composure again. "What happened?" Julia asked as she looked at the distroyed collar and her crushed adam's apple. "Nevermind, John, give me some assistance." She said giving X a sideways glance as she rummagede through a few droars gathered tools for immediate care.

X snapped to reality, as Darien burst in, and said," Fuck! oh ok, doc." And got to work helping her, get the tools necessary to treat Valka.

Victor sat in his room dumbfounded at all that had happened. Hopefully Valka was okay... She was such a sweet girl... Even through the tough girl act. But he couldn't shake what the death boy had said.. they would have all died? holy shit! Life here was going to get a lot harder now... specially if the doctors found out about tonight...

Vixen lay on the floor of her room, her knuckles were sore and bloody from punching the wall, and there were red rivulets running down to the floor.
She had her eyes closed and was breathing deep, furious at herself, and worried about Valka.
She turned over and crawled to the door, then leaned against it, the cool metal on her skin quite welcome. She fell asleep like that.
Her room was bare save for the bed and the washstand. Her excuse for not picking anything out for her room was that she wouldn't be there long enough for it to feel like home, but she wished she'd at least had some carpet put in, the concrete floor was always cold and she hated it.

Realizing Valka could die any moment, Dr.Stevens shoved a plastic tube into Valka's lung then hooked a small breathing machine to the tube so it would inflate the now deflated lung.

"Johns, please check for vertebra damage as well as artery damage." She instructed as she began to operate on her adam's apple trying to repair what she could and replace what she could not.

'Well, at least she will heal quickly. I hope this does not do permanent damage. No, I will not let that happen.' Julia glanced nervously at Darien and Johns as she worked quickly and carefully.

Day 2
Waking up, again in my-now wait. "...Huh?" This...isn't my room, no it's..sorta my room, the color is different. Sitting up I look around, only for a bit, not caring much about it, thinking that this is just temporary I go over to my old room and place my eye on the scanner. "Denied" What? Trying again, the answer is still he same, denied. "What..is going on? Is this, real?" Punching the door to now Magics and Galtalia's room I want too see what is going on. All teh while thinking of why I couldn't open the door. "I want my room, my darkness, it's all I have!"

Vixen awoke to the sound of someone punching a door. She sat up and looked about bleery eyed.

"Wha's goin' on?" she mumbles to the air. Waking fully she stands and tries to open her door... but it's locked and she can't get out. Frustrated she growls at the door and kicks it.

"Hey! Let me out!" She yells, "You want me to melt the hinges or what?"

She waits for an answer...

Valka awoke in her bed the next morning. Her head throbbed painfully from heavy medication and her throat was dry. Rolling over she groaned lethargically and her and dropped off the side of her bed. When her hand touched something on the floor she jumped. The floor wasn't that close. Looking over the side of the bed she saw Darien asleep against it. Her hand had landed on his chest. Smiling she lifted her hand back up and curled up on to her side. After a few minutes Darien woke up and yawned. Turning around he looked up at her.

"Hey," he said groggily, "how are you-oh wait, don't answer that. Eh, just give me nods or head shakes, ok? Does your throat hurt?"

A nod.

"Badly?"

A shake

"Ok, um....are you thirsty? You haven't had anything since lunch yesterday..."

A nod.

"Alright I'll get you something," Darien said standing up slowly, "ooooh man I shouldn't have slept like that...ugh, man does my back hurt. I'll be right back then. mmmm....I'm ok."

Valka watched as Darien made his way out of the room massaging his aching back. Smiling she stretched and slid out of bed. Walking to the bathroom she looked in the mirror and nearly choked. An angry red mark crossed her neck held together with stitches. Reaching up she traced her fingers along the rough scabbed up skin and the stitches that ran through it remembering the events of the night before. She had fractured her Adam's apple and passed out. Darien must've taken her to one of the doctors and had them fix her throat, but what about her voice box? It had struck her odd when Darien had asked her not to talk, but she hadn't expected this. Had the doctor removed her voice box? Had it gotten damaged? Valka bit her lip as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Valka," Darien called from the other room, "I'm back I got you some wa-hey...hey, it's ok. You'll be alright. Doctor Stevens said you would still be able to talk. She said that since you heal so quickly the damage would be minimal at best. We just need to make sure you don't strain yourself too much over the next few days...um maybe you should learn a bit of sign language to or something. Maybe carry a notebook? Hey, point is you'll be alright....You really scared me last night though. I'm glad I got you to Dr.Stevens in time."

Valka sniffled as she wrapped her arms around Darien. She had to admit. Though she had been determined to not get close to people, she was glad he was there.

Victor stared at the wall of his room. Had everything that'd happened the night before been real? His hands started to shake... It had been. He had no idea how Valka was, or any of the others. Hid mind raced with what the death boy had said... they all were so close to death at that moment... And now there back were they'd started. Maybe it was for the best though? At least here they were relativity safe. And they had some freedom to roam the island. Victor walked into his bathroom and stared at his reflection. The purple eyes that marked him as an Incubus stared right back at him.... With a yell, Victor slammed his fist into the mirror, causing it to shatter into tiny slivers of glass. Looking at his hand, Victor felt distant and detached... he watched the blood quickly well up from the hundreds of tiny cuts. Walking to the door, Victor pounded on the door calling out "I had an accident, I need help." he watched the blood pore out of his hand and only shook his head.

X opened his eyes, and saw the doctor asleep at her desk with one of his joints. He checked himself, and saw that she only had his left arm. He sighed, and grabbed the stump that his arm would go. His head beeped, and the AI said, quietly, "Sir, the persons Victor, Valka, Vixen, the death kid, and the guard assigned to Valka, ar all awake, and most of them are demanding answers, also Victor punched his mirror, and has damaged his hand. What are your orders?" To which X replied, also softly, so as not to wake the doc, with "Well, patch me into Victors room, for a few moments, then patch me into the rest of them that want answers." " First room patched" "Right, Victor, You will get medical attention, in about five minutes, a team of docs is on their way, also they have heavy guard, and non of them are female, or gay, so your powers will have no effect on them,I have to inform you of this, and they have orders to shoot, if you try anything." Signalling to the AI to kill the transmission, and transfer him to the others. When it was done, he said, "right, then, I know that you all will want to know what is going on, Well, the director has issued us all to have one day of Isolation, and then ou will all be moved into a new complex, where you will all have a room-mate, Myself included. For I will be moved there as well. I hope that you will understand, and I shall see you all again when the transfer is complete." and he cut the transmission. and left the room, one-armed, headed to the cafeteria.

Victor just sat on his floor and waited for the team to arrive. The guards were pointless, Victor had no desire to try anything anyways but after the fiasco of yesterday he could understand why they weren't taking any chances with him. Suddenly Victor started to draw on the floor with his blood, it was nothing special, just a few stick figures all together looking happy. With a slight smile Victor began to write the names of all the people he had become friends with here. Valka, Darien, Vixen, X, Matua... Once each name had its own stick person, his room door slid open, and he was quickly guided out by the medical teams guards, casting a look back Victor caught the doctors pointing at his drawing on the floor an dsaw one take a picture of it with a camera he'd brought. That can't be good... He thought as the guards whisked him away.

Vixen sat and glared at the door, eyes dark and without mercy. The next guard to walk through that door was dead meat. She's burn him into nothing, just for the hell of it.
Snapping her fingers she watched the flames leap in her fingers, on and off, on and off. She should kill them all, the guards and the scientists... perhaps not Darien... Valka liked him, more than she should really, but Vixen wouldn't take him from her.
X's voice invaded her thoughts... moved to a new building? Room mates?
This couldn't be good. They would most likely try and split up the friendships that had been formed, and put a halt on those with more active powers. Like herself.
She snarled, an animalistic, wild sound that echoed out of her room and down the hall. She sounded like a caged beast, waiting to strike.
Yes... kill them, kill them all...

"Hmm? What do you mean?" I back up, take a deep breath, and calm myself to my emotionless self again. My thoughts cleared to the point of my blood no longer wanting to boil, I knock on the door again. "Vixen...please open the door." I sit and wait, wanting to at least talk to someone about the announcement just made. My partner, is most likely still sleeping through this, which means, she may be the only contact I have today or even see. Valka, I wonder how she's doing, I heard her voice box broke yesterday, literally. It felt like my ears wanting to die, though a force kept the noise from scattering my brain into a million pieces. Still, I wonder, what would have happened if I didn't go there, if whatever force didn't make me go and tell them about their deaths. 'Would it have happened? Was it all just a rue by my father?' Those thoughts continued to scatter through my mind as I wait for her to open the door.

Snapping out of her daze, Vixen scrambled to the door and knocked on it again.

"Matua? Is that you? They've locked me in! I can't get out..." she pauses and looks at her hands...

"You could set me free... you still have that one thing you can ask of me... then I could escape..."

Vixen bites her lip and waits for a response, all thoughts of death and destruction behind her and forgotton.

Valka had since moved back to her bed where she st with her knees drawn up to her chin. She had known that the doctors would have them put on isolation, but to have a whole new facility built? It was a strange idea, but perhaps it could still work to their advantage if they tried to escape later. Valka sighed to herself and started thinking of her new friends. Were they worried about her? Had anything about her condition been said? Perhaps she could get them a message. Looking over into the small bathroom Valka noticed that anything that involved water had been given a modification that would mix a strange chemical into the water preventing her from moving it to her will. Frowning she pushed her sense of water out further.

She could feel the water that ran through the pipes in the walls and followed it into the other rooms. Now she could contact her friends. Pushing water from the faucets in the other rooms she could suddenly hear her friends speaking the vibrations from their voices transferring through the water.

"You could set me free... you still have that one thing you can ask of me... then I could escape..."

Valka sat for a moment in shock the water she had drawn out no doubt spreading into a puddle on the floor where she had released it. Escape? Pulling at the water again she pushed it forward and right between Vixen's feet being careful not to touch her and up the door to stop in front of her face. It was difficult to keep the water in it's vertical position on the wall, but Valka continued to do so as she figured out the mechanics of using the water to spell out words. Finally after several failed attempts at spelling the right words she managed to conform the water to her thoughts.

"You would leave without us? You would abandon us here? Why?"

Yesterday was a little interesting to say the least, Kylar thought. It started off as a fairly normal day, he woke up a bit later in the day as usual, he was in his room clinging to the ceiling doing pushups upside down like normal, against the gravity which provided more of a challenge. After about 200 he hopped down, and went outside in only his black pair of shorts for a run or maybe you could call it a soar. He ran a few steps then jumped a few stories into the air on to the roof, jumped a 30 foot gap easy and then flipped over another just the same. He continued in this fashion for a few hours. He then flipped over a handrail and descended all the way to the ground landing perfectly on his feet in a crouch. From there he sprinted all the way to another building and jumped onto the wall crawled all the way up stopped at the top, and jumped back from the wall and went head first into a nose dive almost hitting the ground floor. But he didn't, he was caught by strong threads of flexible silk spun from his feet, he smiled and laughed as they sling shotted him clear onto the other side of the roof.

This is the interesting part of the day, from about 30 meters away on this roof he saw six individuals going through what seemed like a possible escape. One with beautiful scales shouting, and not pleasant shouts, one with purple eyes, "hmm incubi" he thought, a guard helping them, strange he thought, but humans are unimportant here, a girl with yellow eyes that kind of reminded him of fire, a girl off to the side with brown skin and cat like eyes, and the most interesting of all, a boy with eyes that seemed like they saw everything holding a scythe.

"How is he carrying a scythe of that caliber outside the training facility?" Kylar had said to himself aloud. He was only able to make out a few words the boy said, something about everyone dying trying to escape. Then the girl with scales went through what Kylar could only call an episode an was nearly killed by her specialized collar. He felt for the girl, things sure as hell weren't fair after all, she had plenty reason to be upset. The human grabbed her carefully and began carrying her off, everyone returned to their respective rooms, and with that the situation was over.

Kylar looked at them all and was kinda upset he had missed out on all the excitement, but there was nothing to be done about that today he had thought. So instead he simply went back to his room and made a mental note to be up earlier tomorrow. " This little spider missed out tonight, but tomorrow is another day" he had said as he closed his door behind him. But today was the new day and he was just itching to find out what lay in store.

"We never formed the contract...it'd be null. If it works indirectly, then we could touch. But for now...I can't really." Looking down, I feel a wetness in my shoes, and look down to see water leaking out from the door. "W-what's going on, Gatalia?" I ask her then begin to wonder. Who's affiliated with water...that I know. Anyways, I'm going to get you out Valka, One sec?!" I yell out the highest I can with my small voice, then begin walking to find a security member to let her out. Meanwhile, on the way I could visit people..and other rooms too see what their like. "I wonder...what came over me...that day, that scythe in my hands. It felt....right."

Carter's breaths were coming out in irregular and quick bursts. He didn't know how much time he had spent sitting there, attached to the machine. However, all through the day he could hear people moving about above him. He longed to be anywhere but the basement, and yet Reickvik had made no indication of stopping anytime soon. The man was damn near insane, and Carter knew it.

"Look at you! You're so pale! The Assimilation must've taken a great deal out of you!" Reickvik's voice bounced off of the tall, iron walls of his cell. Carter was only vaguely aware of what was happening, but the pain in his arms seemed to lessen for the first time in hours. Looking down, he could see that the syringes that had been plugged into his body for so long were at last being removed. Carter let loose a sigh of relief, and hoped it was all over. His vision was blurred, and his mouth tasted suspiciously like metal. Perhaps at some point the doctor had done tests there too, he would never know.

"C-Can I go know? Are you done?" Carter huffed, hoping to be free at last. There was a long silence, and Carter didn't think he'd ever hear a response. From somewhere in the darkness, Reickvik's voice slithered back in response. "Yes," he said, "We are done for now. I will require your presence later of course, but for now please go and eat something," Carter didn't need to be told twice. With all of his energy, he dragged himself out of the cell, and shambled down into the general facility. The lights immediately caught him off guard, and he ended up falling over himself the second he saw them.

With a great heave, Carter stood off the ground. The pain and desire from a moment ago seemed to be ebbing away again. He had no idea how he was recovering from the pain so quickly, and yet he did. As soon as he got used to the light, he dared to venture outside of the facility building into the garden. The beach looked calm in the morning sun, and yet the many footprints and marks in the sand indicated that he had indeed been underground for a very long time. He had thought that he heard others above while his experiment had been going on, but the doctor had always silenced his outbursts. At last, he was free. Suddenly, he desired to go swimming more than anything else. His skin had begun to return to that awful, flaky texture, and he hadn't showered in what was probably days.

As soon as he had washed himself off, Carter noticed the red welts and bloody holes where the syringes had been. He counted thirteen in total, hardly believing that he survived the entire ordeal. Shocked, Carter rushed out of the ocean. Perhaps it would do him better to rest, instead of over-exerting himself. Something was amiss though; the place was empty. Carter could not find a single myth, and quickly realized that something must've happened while he was out. Shambling towards the cell-block, Carter gripped his arm. Perhaps he would find someone to explain the situation to him.

Vixen stood, stepping away from the water and tilting her head slightly as she read the message.

"I ain't going anywhere without you Val!" she shouts as loud as she can, pressing her palms to the lock and handle on the door, forcing a concentrated heat onto that area, the metal twisted and melted, dripping onto the floor and forming a pool that solidified when it cam into contact with Valka's water.

She would get into so much trouble for this, but right now, Vixen didn't care. She pushed against the door, the heavy metal giving way and as such she stepped into the hallway.
Vixen skipped down the hall and towards the door that led outside, whereupon she nearly crashed into a pale boy with tired eyes and an ancient aura.

"Oops! Hey, sorry, didn't see you there."

I was walking down the halls holding a clip board. I greeted some of the other scientist with a slight smile. I sigh an then looks at my clip board. "Shoot...I completely forgot about that... Dang it... I'm sooo in trouble!!"

I bite my lower lip and runs to get the medicine quickly. I look everywhere in the room to find all of them, I sigh with relief as I got them all. I start to walk to Vixen's room. "Vixen? ... Not here..." I scoff and tells other scientist to find vixen. Then I walk to the next room.

Klacno'ormor wanders out of his workshop, hte third prototype heat absorbing generator finally finished, and heads to the cafeteria, and as he round the corner, he sees X. He walkes over to him, and says," Hello, X how are you, and why do you only have one arm?" As he accompines the security guard to the cafeteria.

X replies with, "Oh, one of the others has it, but she fell asleep while working on it." As he opens the door, letting the doctor in first.

"Oh, didn't you hear? She got transferred a few hours ago..." Klacno said, as he walks through.

Carter hardly noticed the girl at first, but when he did he at last felt relieved. At long last he would get some answers to his questions. Perhaps this girls knew where the others were in all of this mess. It would be nice to have some idea of the place, even if he was days away from being able to recognize any particular structures. Carter attempted a smile, he did not want to come off as an unfriendly guy.

"Hey, I'm new around here. Well not really... but I have no idea where I am or where I am supposed to go. Who are you? A doctor or a myth? I'm Aren, but you can call me Carter. Everyone does."

Carter hoped the girl wasn't particularly busy, because he needed a few answers, and the longer he waited the more anxious he became. The girl seemed to have an excitable air to herself. Carter noticed that she had been running not a moment before, and he wondered why more than anything else someone would bother running here at all. It wasn't as if any of them were going anywhere anytime soon.

Valka smiled when she heard her friends. Looking up she caught Darien staring at her. His look said that he knew she had done something to get in to contact with them, and he wasn't too thrilled but he knew it was going to happen eventually. Sighing he went to the door and punched in a code that was accompanied by the sound of thick locks withdrawing. He was letting her out.

"No funny business now," he said quietly, "none of you are supposed to be in the hallways, but as long as you don't try anything like last night and keep it on the down low I'll allow it."

Valka smiled happily and walked out in to the hall way to see Mauta. Grabbing his sleeve she smiled at him extremely happy to see a friend.

Still in deep thought, my body recoils a little when Valka tugs my shoulder. I turn to face her, my body wondering if it can harm anyone else. Luckily, she's learned not to touch me directly. As a matter of fact, something is off about this picture. I can see her face without having to look fully up, the light seemed to be hitting me a bit harder too. "Ahh, my hood..." Going back to grab it and place it over my head, it seems that I've gotten accustomed to light a little more since I kept it off. My white Pupils dilate a bit more, and I can see a bit clearer now.

After my small monologue to myself, I decide to keep my hood off my head for today. Still, I have yet to acknowledge Valka, who took the time too meet me here. "I liked your siren yell, it was pretty when I focused on it not killing my brain cells." I give a very weak smile, and look up with her with my weird eyes. "I think I'm glad that your...ok." Taking one of my off white hairs, twirling it around in circles, my head turns away a little.

"how am i going to work if i cant find anyone i really need to give meds to..." I groan. I never really look this like this during work, i usally have a gentle smile on my face but not right now. I heard an announcement calling for me to give victor medical attention. "thats not good..." I started running to the room. "you called-" I felt a chill running down my spine as i say blood. I shake my head to not think too much about it
"what did you do, Victor?" I ask in a caring way instead of being mean. I take a wipe and walks to him and takes his hand and wipes the blood out of his hand. "Good... not much of a bad wound.. I will give you a pill that will make you heal faster. "

Kylar woke up earlier this morning just like he said he would. He threw on a grey t-shirt, a pair of jeans and some black boots. He walked out the door of his room and began walking down the hall heading towards the cafeteria to get something to eat.

He yawned, not use to being up so early, "hey this is what you wanted, just hope it's worth it" he thought. And with that he continued his walk to the cafeteria, hoping for some excitement soon, or better yet to run into that group from yesterday.

Vixen smiled up at the boy and waggled her fingers at him in a wave.
"Hey! I've not met you before have I? I'm Vixen! Hmm? You look sleepy... come with me! I know a good place to sleep!"
She takes his hand and drags him back out into the sun, towards the beach. There is a tall palm tree there and she stops in the shade.
"Here we go! You sit there and I'll keep you company... and if you get cold I'll warm things up for you... sometimes the sea breeze is freezing..."
She grins and plonks herself down on the warm soft sand, running her fingers through teh white grains.

Carter was astounded at how quickly this girl could move. He hardly had time to register her name before he had been whisked off to wherever it was she wanted to go. A place to sleep? Although sleeping was the last thing on his mind, Carter still needed answers. For the time being, it seemed he would have to roll with whatever she had in mind. He couldn't quite place it, but for some reason he already was starting to feel more comfortable.

The beach was a familiar sight, but the adventure still seemed exciting to him. Before, he hadn't noticed the palm tree, but wouldn't have thought much of it anyway. The tree was nothing special: just your average palm tree. Vixen seemed to enjoy herself though, which made Carter happy too. Perhaps he would end up sleeping after all. The sand was rather warm, but he was still gracious for Vixen's offer. After she had spoke though, he was curious as to why she had been put in the facility after all.

"A-Are you a myth too? I am. At least, I was told I am," Carter scratched his head. He hadn't experienced anything abnormal since his 'incident'. Reickvik must've sedated his powers somehow, and Carter wasn't sure how he felt about that. Maybe it was for the best, after all he would never forgive himself if he -gasp- killed someone or something in this place. "I've got some questions. What were you running after when I found you? Where is everyone else? What should I expect out here?" Carter knew he was asking a lot, but he needed to know the truth.

"Oh, well, I'm sure that she's gonna finish my arm, before she leaves." X said, pausing to look around. Nothing out of the ordinary, well, exept for the unknown person walking down the hallway, towards them. "Kazou, just who is that?" he asked the AI, silently. "That is Experiment 2A324D... Or Kylar, if you want to be more friendly." The AI replied. X raised the stump of his arm, that he had left in his room, and said, "Good morning! I haven't seen you before!" as he held open the door, waiting to the kid to approach.

Klacno continued in, and got himself some food. When he was finished, he made his way over to an empty table in the back.

Victor only nodded as the nurse took care of his wound. The mention of a pill made Victor grumble a little bit. He hated medication, specially when it messed with his biology. No matter what the pill was intended to do, it always made his power act up even more then usual. He gave the nurse a small smile, glad she was being polite to him at least. "Thank you..." Is all he said as he looked back down to the floor.

I smile brightly as he said thank you to me. "Well, I got something for you." I walk across the room, to a desk and i open a jar. I take out a red lollipop and walks back over to him. "Here you go, Victor." I unwrap it for him and pops it in his mouth before he could respond. I laugh and messes up his hair as if he was a little kid.

Another scientist looks at me weirdly thinking that it was really strange for me to treat victor a little kid since he's much older then me. I stick my tongue at the other scientist and then looks back at Victor. "Will you tell me how you hurt your hand?" I ask politely, hoping he would tell me so maybe we can prevent it from happening again.

Kylar was getting near the cafeteria, not really paying much attention, when all of the sudden he saw a man, or something like one, with what seemed like a missing arm holding the cafeteria door open for him. He had on a security uniform and had said good morning.

Kylar stopped, looked at him, and wanted to be polite and say "hey, I'm not usually up this early, but nice to meet you" unfortunately what he was thinking got the best of him "uh hi.. do you know you're missing an arm" is what ended up coming out instead.

"Heh, yeah, I know, I left it in my room so that one of the mechanically inclined scientists could work on it." X said, laughing. "So, I have yet to formally meet you, so my name is X 3175, but you can call me X, and though I know you name, probably, It's still nice for introductions." He said, letting the door close.

[Metro]

"Hmmm, well nice to meet you X. As you "probably" know im Kylar. I'm not usually up this early unless I'm in the training center or called in for experiments and what not. That's why you haven't seen me around much, and no offense but I'm not used to speaking with security on the regular".

"Well interesting is what you wanted today", Kylar thought. What better way to start the day than meeting a one armed cyborg. Kylar's stomach then grumbled loudly, he looked down at his stomach then back up at the cyborg. "Haha well thats not good, this day seems like it could be a fun one, shouldn't go hungry". Kylar began to enter the cafeteria, held the door and looked back at X. "I'm gonna grab something to eat, would you like to join me. Maybe you could tell me what goes on in this part of the facility".

"Sure, I'll join you, and in regards to this part of the facility, this is where we get our food." X said with a straight face. He followed Kylar into the cafeteria. the only thing that gave that he was joking was the twinkle in his eyes.

Kylar simply hoped X was joking, as they walked in, because his face seemed like that's what he really thought Kylar had meant. "So uh if you need any help with your food, due to the whole missing arm deal, just let me know" he joked. Kylar looked around, not too many people were there although he was able to identify a very short scientist sitting by himself. He had made friends with enough of the staff for one day he thought.

He went inside got a few plates of what was being served and sat across from X. There's one thing he could give the facility, the food was amazing. After a few helpings he smiled and said " so you were kidding earlier right, I know what a cafeteria is, kinda hard to tell if your joking or not.

"Na, I was just joking, couldn't you see the twinkle in my eye?" X said, again with a straight face. He smiled, and said, "Anyway, this part if just the average, what with the dorms, of both the experiments, such as yourself, and the guards, such as myself. The midget scientist lives with the others of his breed, but I don't know where. Oh, and just never comment on his size... I learned the hard way, he kicked me in the only appendage that isn't robotic." He then said, so, how have you been settling in here so far.

Vixen grinned and tilted her head in a childish way before answering the boy.
"I wanted to be outside! I hate being locked in my room... so I melted the lock off... there aren't many things that can stop me see, 'cept water of course. That's my weakness... my friend Valka is a water myth, and we can't touch one another, not even a little, because we'd end up killing one another most likely. I'm not too sure where everyone is really. Mauta, the reaper, went to find Valka, Victor's been carted off by a white-coat and everyone else is around here... somewhere? As for expecting things, you get fed, you sleep, you do as you're told and you make your own fun... What kind of myth are you? I'll show you mine's if you show me yours?"
Leaping up Vixen held out her hand, palm up and let the heat take hold, fire burst from her palm and spread up her arm to her shoulder, she laughed with glee.
"I am a Hellfire Demon! And I really want to burn this place to the ground and go home!"

Valka smiled tearfully at Mauta and wrapped her arms around him knowing that his hoody would protect her from his powers. She was so happy to see the younger boy and know that he had been worried about her. It was nice to finally have friends. To finally have people who worried about her just because they could and not just because she was pretty. Finally letting Mauta go after a few minutes she smiled at him and opened her mouth to talk before remembering Darien's warning. Holding up a hand she ran back to her room and began digging about for a pen and some paper.

"What are you looking for," Darien asked sitting on the be opposite hers, "I can tell you where it is."

Valka motioned like she was writing and Darien smacked himself on the head. He'd completely forgotten to get her anything to write on. Standing up he crossed the room and opened up a locked drawer on the desk that was in the corner of the room. Pulling out a pen and a pad of paper he handed it to her.

"There you go," he said smiling, "sorry I didn't give it to you earlier."

Valka smiled and shook her head running back out to Mauta and scribbling a quick note on the paper.

"Hey dont cry..." I see her shadow coming over me, then take my hand off of my head, once I feel the hug. That warm feelings again, even if it's through clothes, makes me smile. 'She...feels like mom. Or at the least...she feels nice.' My eyes close, and memories begin to pour in, and my eyes do something else, something I haven't felt in a long time either. '...I'm...crying.' Much less crying, and more like one tear comes down my left eye and freezes up against my skin. It's gone by the time she lets go, but the feeling is still there. I look back up at her mouth opening. '...Won't tha- yep.' I nod when she places her hand up then walks off.

Memories come again. Me waiting here, brings me back too a memory when speaking with my father and mother. We were speaking about...my father. My real father. Death. I asked where people go when they die. I asked why do people die, and they told me to find my own answer. Thats what religions and are for supposedly for, but as we've seen, myths are becoming true as well. I begin to wonder, then sit down and close my eyes. Meditation, trying to clear my thoughts an everything but one thing, and then he comes. Daddy.

I shake my head quickly trying to get his horrifying image out of my head. Under the cloak, his face may have scared me to life, but, he said something before I awoke. I see Valka coming back then get back up as she shows me the note. 'I'm glad yoru ok too' Nodding, my face goes to slowly to her throat. 'If I am the harbinger, then you boy are my equal. If I can take life, then the balance would be' "I can give life back."

Kylar laughed, "I wondered what that was to be honest, but I figured it was some strange cyborg thing so I didn't pay it much mind". Kylar then listened as X described this part of the facility, if he needed someone that could give him information he certainly found it in his new cyborg acquaintance. Then X asked how he was settling in. Kylar wasn't sure how to respond, this was still a guard he was talking to, but what the hell he thought.

" I love the food, rooms are amazing, the training facility is top notch, with each day I learn more about who I am, it's a nice island... and I hate it here. It's all an illusion to the fact that were kept here against our will, and experimented on at the leisure of some scientists". Kylar gave X a serious look, " even now X, me and you speaking, you seem like an okay guy, but if I do one thing the facility deems unfit your here to put me down. And believe me when I say I mean no offense, but given your situation, can you even fight the orders your given"? Kylar took a breath and smiled. "Sorry, I guess things have been getting to even me more than I thought. But uh yeah, that's how I've been settling in. What's it like working security"?

Valka gave Mauta a strange look. He seemed deep in though almost as if he'd seen something he hadn't wanted to think about.

Is everything alright?

Valka held the paper up but frowned inwardly. This whole paper and pen thing took too long. She couldn't wait to start talking again. There were so many questions she wanted to ask and only a small amount of paper to write them all on. Valka sighed and stared at the paper. She needed something faster.

"None taken, in response to your question about fighting orders,I shall stay silent, just so that I keep my job. I hate that you guys are restrained, and experimented on. " X said, with a scowl. "But anyway, I'm glad you like the accommodations, and the food." He finished, as he sat back. He smiles conspiratorially, and says softly, so softly that his mouth does not move, and Kylar could barely hear him, "If you want to know more, just meet me in the janitorial room down the hall and to the left, 5 door. Knock 4 times, then say 'meat' and it will open."

[Metro]

This is what the Cyborg had said, if it hadn't been for his enhanced senses Kylar wasn't sure he would of even heard it. Question was, could he trust him, this could be an elaborate ruse to find subjects hell bent on escape and eliminate them. In the end Kylar decided he didn't care, and that the best way was to simply find out.

Kylar finished his food, got up, shook X's hand and gave him a quick glance that said he'd be there, "It was nice meeting you X, maybe we could do something like this again sometime". Kylar left the cafeteria, and began his walk towards the semi agreed upon location. He walked at a slower but not unusual pace, for two reasons. One, to think of all possible means of survival if it ends up being a trap, and two so that his possible new ally will have time to get there without raising suspicion. He eventually got down the hall, made a left and knocked 4 times on the specified door, "meat". The door opened, and with no hesitation, Kylar walked in ready for what may come.

X was sitting on the edge of the mop bucket thingy, when Kylar walked in. "Well, nice of you to walk in. This is the only area that no one actually cares about surveillance, sure there are a few cameras and audio bugs, but for right now they are disabled, thanks to my unauthorized access in the mainframe." He said, once the door was closed. "But now to say fighting orders, I almost helped a large group of you guys escape, but something when wrong, and they had to stay. they are getting moved into rooms with room-mates, for their trouble." He said, after a bit. He sighed, and said, "And I was almost caught, except that I took measures to prevent me being accused. I was in a room with a scientist wanting to work on my arm. There was another guard helping them, but I shall protect his identity, just in case you are a mole, sent by the higher ups to get me to confess, but any electronics that may be on you will be disabled until you leave this room." He said, with a scowl, "I hate the fact of this trust-less situation..." he muttered when he finished speaking.

No robots, no traps, no guards to cart him off; Kylar still didn't know if he could trust X, but this was a hell of start."Aww and hear I was hoping you were gonna set me up and I'd have to fight for my life just to get out of here, maybe next time then." Kylar smiled at X and then grew serious " First off I'm no mole, and second I think I saw that group you were talking about, well leave descriptions out of the equation until were sure we can trust each other. I was hoping to meet up with one of them. It isn't easy to find those willing to risk it all to escape, and when you find people like that you get to know them, and then find more like them. But things of this nature can't be spontaneous, unless you want everyone involved dead, slow and steady unfortunately wins this race. We need to get together. They need me just as much as I need them X, and I'm not sure yet, but I guess we all need you and people like you. This is were the road to freedom can truly start". Kylar smiled, "but first things first, we need a meet and greet".

"Heh, good luck getting that done, my EMP field can only go so far. And though this is the smallest room it can cover, its also the securest." X said, as he stood up. "If you want, I can get the guard on the line for you though." He offered, after a bit. "Heck, if necessary, I can get some mining equipment in here, and we can make our own lair, but it would be detected by all of the seismic sensors everywhere." He added.

" The mining, unnecessary, as for the guard... hmmmm." Kylar was already taking a gamble with X. It did seem like X was on his side, and Kylar did say escape would require more humans, but still. Kylar sighed, " yeah ring him up, maybe he can help" Kylar would of said no thanks, but he remembered how ready the guard had looked yesterday when faced with helping those myths escape. You want people like that on your team Kylar thought.

"Right, well, then this meeting shall be put on hold, at least until I can get him away from his duties." X said, as he stood up, once again, and opened the door, offering to let Kylar out first. "You may want to leave first, that way, the cameras will not see us together, I would suggest you wait for about 3.34587 seconds before you actually leave, so the cameras will all be facing away from us."

Victor was surprised when the sucker was put into his mouth, but he couldn't help laughing as Isabell messed his hair up. The laugh quickly died in his throat though when she asked about his hand. He looked up at her and gave he a half smile, and sighed. "What happened was I punched my mirror.. I got really mad and well... You see how that ended up." he said with a small chuckle. He was glad that his nurse was Isabell, and not her mother.

Kylar was beginning to like the perks of having a cyborg ally. He still didn't necessarily trust X, but until the cyborg gave him reason, Kylar wouldn't doubt him. " I would ask how will I contact you, but I have a feeling you'll find a way to contact me; you know, do to the whole plugged in to the system deal. So let me know when I can meet this guard, and until then be careful, take care of yourself, and get that arm back." Kylar joked. Kylar was glad he hadn't woken up earlier in the day for nothing, Kylar waited 3. however many seconds X had said and left the room. He then began walking down the hall, to see if any other fun meetings would occur today.

"Valka? N-no no...nothing wrong." My eyes pull away from her throat directing their gaze to her face, after looking over the the notepad. I went into somewhat deep thought after this, and also after seeing her discomfort of writing. My body began shuffling too, with this weird speech of me speaking and her writing, I began to get impatient, and decides to go find someone to help fix her throat or at the very least enable her to communicate faster.. "Valka, lets go try to find something better than the notepad. We can check up on everyone too. While we're out."

With out warning, nor waiting for her sure answer I begin walking over to check on the Incubus Victor, and 'I wonder if Vixen ever got out.' With that, a small grin comes too my face. "So many V's." Ends up coming out, almost as if I wanted to make an inside joke to myself.

Valka quickly followed after Mauta keeping the notepad clutched to her chest. If they ran in to anyone on the way she'd need some way to communicate after all. She silently wondered how everyone else was doing. Were they all ok? Had she hurt anyone? Had anything happened afterwards? Sighing she cleared her mind and focused on following Mauta. She'd drive herself crazy if she kept thinking of things she wanted to say and ask. Where exactly were they going anyway?

Johns left the little store rooms, and walked over to where he was assigned for his time at guard duty, after retrieving his arm from his room. He was rather bored of doing nothing, but entertained himself with playing Solitaire inside his mind.

Vixen, easily distracted, turned to look at the compound and let the fire in her arms fizzle out with a hiss. She waved the boy goodbye and ran off towards the building again, where she scrambled onto her favorite spot on the roof and discovered a few seagulls there. She shouted at them and chased them away, and when one didn't move fast enough, she shot a few tiny flames at it, singeing its tail-feathers.
She then lay with her head over looking the door so that she could watch the comings and goings of everyone, and listened at the large vent nearby for activity in the corridor into the main compound. There was whispering in the vent at that moment, and leaving her view of the door, Vixen quietly prised the vent cover off and stuck her head in.
She heard only a few words, but they were exciting to hear.
Escape! She had to find out who was in that room!
Vixen had no idea where the vent came out, but she slammed the cover back on and rushed to the side of the building, half sliding half falling down infront of the door. She dashed inside and had to squint to see in the sudden change of light.

"Huh" Kylar was walking down the hallway when all the sudden he felt a slight increase in temperature, unnoticeable to normal humans, but palpable to any capable myth with enhanced senses. The thing is, Kylar felt this before, it was a little weaker the first time from 30 meters away, but he remembered it. Strange, first he meets a cyborg who aided in an escape, and then this. Well he wasn't gonna sit around, he began following it back to it's source. He wasn't a blood hound and it took a little trial and error, but he found it, partially due to how close it was. To make things really funny, it was coming from the room he and X had just left, and chances are whoever was in there didn't know about the cameras watching the door.

So much for secret base of operations, Kylar waited for the cameras to point away and silently dashed into the room. Once his eyes adjusted, he saw her. It was the girl who's eyes had resembled fire; should have known Kylar thought. In any case, the cameras only saw her come in, so they did have time to talk. "Hey I don't wanna sound rude, but me and a cyborg kinda already have dibs on this little hideout, but depending on how you feel about the facility and what goes on in it, you might be allowed to stay" Kylar joked. "I'm Kylar, nice to meet you" he stuck his hand out in greeting and waited for her response.

"...Hmm, where should we go?" I ask myself silently. Valka seems to like water alot, it also helped her hug me. Maybe that helps her alot. She's a siren right? "Lets head to the water." Water meaning beach, place a sleeve over my hand and hold her pulling her to the ocean. "Lets try to get your voice back with water." My brain gets into motion, seeing as that's are number one priority right now, getting her better. "If that doesn't work, we'll try something else."

Vixen starts but calms quickly, and smiles shyly at the newcomer.
"Hey... I'm Vixen... Nice to meet you Kylar."
She shakes his hand, her skin increadibly warm, but it doesn't burn the young man.
"I heard you and X talking... the vents sometimes carry sounds to the vent on the roof... that's kinda where I hang out. I don't exactly have many friends... well more so here than ever before. Valka, Victor, and Mauta. And well... I want in on what ever your doing!"
She gets a fierce look of determination in her eyes, and they flare from their usuall molten gold to a flickering red, flecked with black. She then stares at her feet, as if unsure what to say next.
"Um... so... what are you anyhow? You don't feel demonic or angelic... and neither do you feel all that elemental... so I'm guessing something animalistic perhaps?"

Anyone on the outside of the compound would see a beacon hit the ground, and project a medium sized circle, green in color.

X saw the beacon hit, and smiled, remembering that there was a new transfer. He was just getting off duty, so he walked over to the area of the beacon, not sure just how the newbie would make his entrance.

The light around the beacon had now turned to yellow, and now made a sound, one high in pitch.

Her skin was almost burning it seemed, good thing his could take a beating. " Nice to meet you Vixen and good guess, I don't really have a name for my mythological fore fathers. I only know that they're responsible for most spider myths in the world; from Anansi the Spider in Africa to the Tsuchigumo of Japanese folklore. They left me a pretty awesome spider hybrid body, and a few other useful tricks that make them worthy of myths, I'm honestly still figuring out some things".

Kylar sat down on the edge of the mop bucket and looked at Vixen. "What about you, I know your capable of generating heat, that's how I found you. But now that im near you I'm picking up something a little different."

Valka pulled back trying to keep Mauta from trying to leave this part of the facility. They weren't even supposed to be out of their rooms much less outside. Pulling him back from the door she gave him a worried look and shook her head. Quickly writing on her notepad she held it out to hi.

'We aren't supposed to even be out of our rooms really. Darien's just being nice so long as we don't cause trouble,' it said, 'I appreciate the thought,but I'll be fine for now. We should just stay inside and keep our heads down for now.'

Valka hated not going outside, but it would only make things worse if they tried to go outside. Biting her lip she stared at Mauta hping he wouldn't keep trying to go outside. If he really wanted her to get better he'd just have to wait.

Vixen's eyes widened a little at the mention of spiders, but then smiled.
"Does that mean you can climb walls...? Ah! Nevermind that! I'm... a human-hellfire deamon hybrid... my father was a full deamon, but only I got his powers, my little brother is still human through and through."
She tilts her head and looks at Kylar from under her red fringe. She paused, listening... sensing...
"Would you like to meet my friends? Valka's... well, she got hurt... I think it's my fault... I tried to get everyone to use their powers to escape the other day... and it didn't go well..."

A shrill whine was coming from the beacon now. The circle was a dark red color, and anyone close might want to back up

"brilliant, a flashy entrance person." X thought to himself, as he leaned against the side of the building nearest to the beacon.

[Metro]

"Ahhhhhh, so that was your idea. I was actually there the day you guys tried that, well near the end of it anyway". Kylar looked at Vixen, he could tell the incident upset her. " I don't think you should blame yourself for your friends injury, I saw how upset she was, I don't think anyone could of kept that from happening. But if we work together and take things slow, I think we can keep horrible things like that from happening again". Kylar smiled at her, trying his best to cheer her up, to help he jumped on to the ceiling and then looked at her. "Oh, and yeah I can climb walls".

[Neshimo]

"Valka? Your not thinking." I tell her and then put my hood over my head for a while, while I get my explanation in order. Making sure their are no mistakes in my plan, my voice starts out slow, calm, and Emotionless while giving my explanation. "They wont hurt us, because they need us. The only reason you nearly died is because you almost lost it and screamed. They put that collar on you, so you wouldn't hurt anyone with your voice. It's so beautifully loud it can hurt any normal person's ear drums. They won't ground you, they won't sic dogs on you, they may punish you, but only if you've almost caused harm to humans. We are not human, they know this. So they let us roam free in this prison, to do whatever we want, whenever we want. As long as we don't harm humans, or come close to harming one, we can do whatever we want."

Nodding at my explanation, I take my hood off then look up at her with my weird eyes. "Although, we can go some place damp and cold and dark, or somewhere with light and sorta watery. Where ever you wanna go, we can go. I'd like to see what places Valka likes too, besides the water." Lifting my fingers I begin to move towards her hair and touch it, knowing it would have no affect on her skin or insides. "Long hair looks nice."

The beacon was almost screaming by this point. Anyone with even human hearing would hear the noise, and may or may not want to investigate.

jeez, this guy really wants an audience... X thought to himself, as he started to idly mess with the wires of the now open side of his arm.

Valka blushed as Mauta drew close and touched her hair. What was he doing? He liked her hair? Where did that come from? Blinking at him she smiled in a slightly confused manner and motioned for him to follow her. He was right. They wouldn't hurt them so long as they didn't try to leave or try to hurt someone. She knew just where to go. Her secret spot.

It was a spot she had found one day when she'd first come to the island. No one knew it was there and she could hear if they called for her. It was her sanctuary. Her place to sit and think. Her place to get away and hide.

'You're going to share it with him,' her conscience asked, 'you're going to share it with the reaper kid? I thought you wanted to be alone.'

Valka shook her head at the thought. Yes, she wanted to share it. No, of course she didn't really want to be alone. Mauta was the one person she trusted the most of everyone. If anyone deserved to see her secret spot it was him. He was.....her best friend....Funny. The one person who could kill her just through touch was her best friend. The world really worked in interesting ways.

Smiling happily she headed for the outside door again. When she stepped outside she had to shield her eyes from the sun. She'd forgotten how bright it was. The last time she'd been outside it was night time. It was almost noon now. Time passed so quickly sometimes...

Vixen grins and laughs, eyes all-a-glitter, and then pauses...
"What is that noise...?!"
She peeks around the corner of the hallway and look towards the door, there's a strange light reflecting against the door.
"Hey Kylar? Wanna go investigate?"

"Hmm, ok." I tell her then begin following her after her weird blushing motion. Blushing...first time I've seen that. Wondering where we were going, I begin to think again, and place my hood over my head to block out distractions, though reminding myself I still do have to follow Valka. My mind begins to wonder the three V's again. 'Valka, Vixen, and Victor.' About my experiences with them, especially Valka. Out of everyone here, she's the only one who's gotten me to smile. My first hug since I've been this way was with her too. She's like my mom who isn't dead.

Walking outside a weird beeping hits my ears. 'Should I?...No.' I keep following Valka, wanting to see what kind of places she likes, not sure where she's leading me. I see her shielding her eyes, and blink mine a few times after letting the sun into my eyes as well, while my iris's become weird white dots. "We are going outside? Where outside?"

Valka held her finger up to her lips to say it was a secret. As she walked she noticed the strange metal object that was making all sorts of noise and flashing bright lights all over the place. How obnoxious. Frowning at it she shrugged and continued on her way. As they got closer to the beach she angled herself towards the cliffs and glanced behind to make sure Mauta was still following. He reminded her of a younger kid she'd taken under her wing when she was growing up. He had been an outcast and all the other kids would pick on him and even throw rocks at him. The first day she'd met him he had, had a cu on his forehead from one of the rocks and she had helped him get it cleaned up. From then on she'd been his protector and had always run off the other kids when they decided to pick on him. She wondered where he was now.

As they reached the cliffs Valka reached out toward Mauta she they could make their way carefully to her secret spot without falling in to the water and being dragged out to sea. It was only a few feet away now, but it would take them a little bit to navigate the rocks leading up to the mouth of the small cavern. She hoped he'd like it.

[Metro]

Yay, got to her laugh Kylar thought. But then he heard a strange noise, what the hell was that?
Vixen heard it too, and immediately asked to investigate. Well then, why not he thought.
"Sure, sounds like fun, but be careful leaving the room, there are cameras watching. We can never be seen entering or leaving the room together. I've been keeping tabs on the camera. I'll leave first, then you wait about 3 and a half seconds and meet me outside okay". Kylar waited then left the room and waited for Vixen to show up.

Impact in 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.Impact. Starting facial scans. setting up radar preramters. Scott's software binged into his helmet. When he hit the ground, and caused a lot of dust, dirt, and other things around the beacon up in the air. The beacon its self was gone, crushed under Scott's weight, and its noise and lights died. Looking around, Scott's scanners detected about 3 or 4 people. One guard, the rest experiments. Scott drew his sword, wanting to see what they would do.

"Fucking shit!" X yelled, when he saw the sword. He started forward, his arm now closed, and prepared to fight, if necessary, "Put that damn thing away! Are you stupid?! These people could kill you, should you threaten them! Myself included! Not to mention that that little spit would have almost no effect on most of them." the last bit he added, as he got into range of the sword, his arms raised, looking like a boxer. He scowled angrily at the newb, thinking, 'Fucking hotshot here is gonna get himself killed within a day.'

Scott turned to look at the other guard. "The sword was not meant to threaten, but to be ready, in case the someone should attack. One doesn't jump form close to low orbit, just to be killed with out a fight, if i comes to that." Scott put his sword back into it's sheath on his back, but was ready to draw it right back out. Scott was nothing if not cautions

"Dude, the people here have a system, one that the experiments cannot get through, where they get hurt, just as badly, should they attack a member of the staff, so there is no need for the sword." X said, lowering his arms, after a moment, he held out his hand, "by the way, the name's X 3715, but you can call me X." he added

Nodding at her silent gesture I continue to follow her up too the cliffs. "Eww...climbing." I sigh and as I'm about to take her hand I stop and look at my hand then at her again. Declining her gesture, I decide to follow behind without her help, seeing as us touching may not be the best Idea. "I'll follow behind...promise." I say, looking behind to make sure no one was following us. "It's probably secret cause no one felt like climbing so much."

Scott shakes X's hand. "Scott. I know of the system in place, but i'm a cautions person, and I didn't know the current situation on the ground. So, what has happened before I arrived?" Scott was wanting to know the things that went on here, and he would have his answers Begin infiltration sub-routine on all data systems in the compound. This will take time, use brute force or go undetected? Undetected. Command confirmed. Begin infiltration

"Well, there was an attempt at an escape, but one of the other experiments stopped the others from leaving, knowing that the collars would kill them. Oh, and could you end that sub-routine, I can feel it trying to access my mind, and its not something I like." X replied, a smile playing on his lips, as he blocked the worm trying to access his mind, which was majorly connected to the mainframe, and it was thanks to the AI that he even knew what the pain was, otherwise, he would have just passed it off as a headache.

End infiltration sub-routine. Command confirmed, sub-routine terminated. "So, that one got now where fast. An escape attempt, stopped by one of the experiments? I shocked. So, where do the guards stay?" Scott was processing the info he got from X. So, he's that wired into the mainframe? This place sounds like fun. Better then what happened in Russia.

"I'll upload the map to your interface, as it seems that you can be connected remotely, and the only reason I'm as connected as I am, is because I've been here for a while, and as I need or want info, I get it, slowly, in most cases, because it isn't necessary." X said, smiling, as he thought to the AI, 'Hey, Kazou, can you try to infiltrate his frame, just a lot more low key? start your worm when you send the info he wants, just don't let your systems be compromised, I don't wanna wake up in the morning with my heart not working properly, you know.' "You should be getting the data in a moment or two." He said aloud. He then said, after a pause, "I'll get you to meet the others of the experiments that I know, and I'll point out which one stopped the escape attempt."

Vixen skipped out after Kylar and then waved him to follow her. She jogged to the exit and peered around the corner, seeing a young man drop out of the sky, seemingly unharmed by the experience.
Her eyes widened for a second in shock, and then narrowed as she examined the stranger.
"Let's be careful with this one... I don't like the look of him... and he has a sword... sure I could just burn it up, but I have the feeling he wouldn't like that."
She paused once more, and watched X talk to the newcomer. Once the sword was sheathed, Vixen stood and held her hand out to Kylar.
"You lead... okay?"
It seems her nerves were getting the better of her.

"okay. So, just how long have you been here?" Data transfer directed at this unit. Accept Y/N? Y. Transfer Accepted, uploading map to main HUD.

"Oh, about 3, 4 years, but for most of that, I was in the dark about the experiments." X replied, as he looked around, he saw Vixen, but didn't recognize her, other than the one that he was supposed to punish, did, but then the escape attempt started, he wouldn't say any of that to Scott, but he remembered it none-the-less.

[Metro]

Kylar took her hand and began walking towards X "Sure, but I know the guard he's with. I think things are gonna be okay". Kylar smiled "Just stay close, and no sudden or supernatural moves alright?" Once he was close enough he noticed the man's armor in detail, fighting him would be complicated and therefore very annoying. But Kylar had to admit, the armor did look pretty cool.

"Hey X, surprising running into you again so soon. This is my friend Vixen, but you probably knew that already" Kylar turned his attention to the armored man. "Who's your well armored friend, and may I ask why he fell out of the sky?"

"Oh, hey Kylar, this is Scott, Scott this is Kylar, I'll send you the data on them, now" X said, turning slightly, to include Kylar in the discussion. 'Kazou, send the data on said experiments.' he thought to the AI, as he talked.

Valka nodded and continued across the rocks deftly leaping from one to another with surefooted movements that proved she had done exactly this what seemed like a million times. When she reached the flat sandy bank of the caverns mouth she turned and waited for Mauta. They had made it this far and the true sanctuary lay a few hundred feet deeper in the cavern. Normally when she would come she would fill the entire cave with the sound of her singing, but the soft steady sound of the tides would suffice for now. Could Mauta even be mesmerized by her song? Valka pondered the thought for moment. It could be that he was immune, but then again it could be entirely the opposite. Best not to test it out.

Motioning for Mauta to follow her in to the cave Valka ducked in to the entrance and began walking farther and farther back in to the nearly inky black darkness of the back of the cave. It wouldn't be dark the whole time, but where it was she knew exactly where to go and what to watch out for. She could remember the first time she came when she'd stubbed her toes on every hidden nuisance regardless of her use of echo location. She had come back with quite a few bruises and blood blisters to prove it too. She'd have to make sure Mauta missed those spots so he wouldn't have to endure those injuries as well.

Data transfer directed at this unit. Accept Y/N? Y, and set systems to allow all data form unit X-3715 to be accepted. Command confirmed. Setting saved Scott put his hand out for Kylar to shake. he didn't view the 'experiments' as beings less then humans, unlike most people. He saw them as people how have amazing powers, and could use them for good, or for evil if pushed in that direction.it depended on how they were treated.

For every time she jumped flawlessly it took me two tries to get the jump, and even after wads getting the just of it, still falling here and there in between the rocks, but still finding my way out every time. What ever the place was, it was sure to make sure no one would find it, or if they tried, they'd have to go through some trials to get here. Thinking about it, how did she find something out here? Just exploring? I barely even left my room when they placed me there. The darkness, I liked it. My solitude from everyone, even with the camera's, was my room. Maybe that's where we are going, to her place of solitude. 'She trust me that much? I mean if that's where we're going.'

It brings a slight smile to my face, and after my little thought process, we arrive at the flat part of the cavern. A dark narrow hole is in front of me, well narrow for her, me it was about just high enough that I barely needed to crouch. "Can you see in here?" I whisper as I begin to effortlessly navigate through the cavern. Enough to that I catch up behind her. "Or are you blind in here? I can see pretty well in the dark, there's alot of sharp and blunt stuff in here."

Vixen peered out from behind Kylar and blinked innocently up at Scott, her gold eyes reflecting the sun. She waved her fingers at him slowly, the slightest of smiles ghosting her lips.
"Hey... Are you a new scientist... or a guard...?"

"I can't see mostly," Valka chuckled, "but I've stubbed my toe on everything so many times I know where everything is. Otherwise I'd be running in to things and tearing up my feet. My eye sight has gotten better in the dark though. I suppose it's from being a siren. They do have to operate during all times of the day and night. You never know when your next victims are going to be sailing over head."

Valka shrugged and continued walking the shapes and shadows of everything in the cave slowly beginning to define themselves in the darkness. After a while of walking the cave actually started getting brighter, but it was blue light this time. The light spilled about the cavern casting longer shadows from the surrounding rocks and stalactites. Smiling Valka started to walk a little faster. When she finally reached the opening that she called her sanctuary she leapt off of the path just as it made an abrupt end and splashed down in the cool water. Laughing as she resurfaced she swam out to the small Island in the middle and went to its center. Holding her arms up she made a quick circle and turned back to Mauta her face bathed in the soft blue lights of the glowing crystalline formations that dotted the entire cave like stars.

"Isn't it magnificent," she giggled, "I absolutely love this place. It's my own little sanctuary."

"Ahh, that's pretty cool. More killing jokes..." A small grin, which appears more and more with this Siren, appears with her stories of pain. "It's the same with me as well isn't it then." A similarity between us, never noticed. That being the end of the conversation at this time, we continue on the trail too the end of the cavern. The darkness keeping my grin hidden, until a, 'What's the word?' , light shines in through the darkness, my pupils slowly becoming normal with each step. Noticing Valka speeding up, I quicken my pace to keep at her level until...

"Hmm, gravity..." Seeing as I began running after her, at the cliff end of this cavern which at my first glance, look nice, upside down. Falling, I close my eyes then reach my hands out to the water making a nose dive, cutting through the water. After doing so, the weight of these clothes start to bare it's toll in the water, and I begin to remove my jacket, shirt, socks, and shoes, accordingly, placing them on a weird crystal coordinated with the water, emitting the...bewildering? No that's not the word either, and I turn to look at Valka on the middle island, looking...Intoxicating there's the word, and swim over to the piece of land in the middle off her paradise.

"It does look nice." Laying half of my body on land, and keeping the other half in the water, enjoying the cool water. "It's great for people who like to swim...and for people who like to be alone. So I'll ask since you fit hose terms...why'd you let me into your Siren sanctuary?"

"Hm," Valka asked giving Mauta a confused look as she sat down and stuck her feet in the water, "Why? I........I don't really know.....I guess I've just been alone for such a long time and you're kind of the closest thing I've ever had to a best friend.....I-it's kinda silly I know......but I just felt like I really wanted to share this place with you......You know like when you have a best friend and there's one place you always hang out that no one else really knows about? O-or at least that's what I've always heard of......"

Valka felt a blush rising to her cheeks and dove in to the water. Why did she have to say something so silly? Now she felt like an idiot. What was she twelve?! Valka exhaled and watched the air bubbles rise to the surface. Why did she have to embarrass herself so much. Just then Valka realized she had been talking normally ever since they'd entered the cave and her throat barely hurt at all. Smiling at the development she let herself sink to the bottom of the pool which was several hundred feet down. From there it almost looked as if she was looking in to the night sky and Mauta was flying. It made her giggle. How funny.

"They have me as a guard, but if they moved me to work with the eggheads on something technical, I wouldn't be shocked." Scott had a joking tone in his voice. Then he did something one might not expect. He put two fingers up to his visor, where the eyes were, and then traced a smile on the bottom part of his helmet.

"So you're good with tech?" X asked, just as he got a mental ping, 'Firewall 1 through.'
he smiled, "Because I would love to have you be my side-bar technician, next to myself."

"If i wasn't any good with tech I'd wouldn't be standing here. Arms and Legs aren't just armor. they really are my arms and legs. I wouldn't mind. Always good to work with others. " Just as Scott said this, a message popped up on his HUD.

Unknown program attempting to breach low tier levels? attempt to exterminate? No, leave till it tires to get to the main data stores. Attack with extreme prejudice if it gets that far. Command confirmed.

"Whooo! so your like me? Arms and legs replaced?" X whistled, then asked. mentally, he responded to the AI, 'has he noticed you yet?' to which the AI responded, 'Affermitive, but his systems have yet to terminate, do ya want me to change my label, so he knows your testing the system he has?' He tapped his arm, having it make a semi hollow knocking noise.

"Yeah. Cars aren't my friends. and this was originally going to be a set of full combat armor, but plans change." Scott knocked on his arm, it making a solid-sounding reverb. "Had to fill in the arms and legs. it left more room for certain things, but not much."

"Not bad." X said, while thinking, 'might as well Kazou... Just don't go over eccentric...' He pressed a button, and a panel popped up, holding the barrel of a sawn-off shotgun. "I have a few surprises of my own, not geared for war, like you, most likely, but more special ops." X said, tapping the panel.

"Really all I have is the katana. its all I've felt I needed in a fight." Scott left the blade in it's sheath. No need to wear t out by pointlessly drawing it.

"well, I'm not as skilled as you are, but I know my body inside and out, because I designed it all. I can probably hold my own against you, in a duel... Whada say we have a good old fashioned duel?" X asked, pressing the panel down again.

"Now, when you say duel, do you mean with swords or the old western style 'draw at noon'?" Scott was up for a duel. guns or swords, it would be a good time, and them both being cyborgs, it wouldn't hurt as much, well, for Scott it wouldn't anyway

"Na, nothing like that, just a good ol' sparring match." X replied with a grinn. "A series of challenges, devised by random people around the complex, to put us through our paces." He continued. he got a second mental message: 'Firewall 2 through, and the name of the program has been turned to "X's Troller, Just Testing"' He responded with, 'Great, now he's gonna think I'm a fool.'

"Eh, why the hell not. I haven't done anything like that in god knows how long." Jackson Commander, the worm that appeared seems to have named it's self 'X's Troller,Just testing'. Do you wish us to terminate it yet? No Legion, not yet. wait till it reaches the main data stores, then kill it. Yes, Jackson Commander. Scott had made a VI program to run the minor functions of the armor, and made it talk in third person. It had called it's self Legion, as it was multiply parts through out the armor.

"Great, lets go ahead and round a few people up to tell us what the challenges are, and to watch." X said, as he patted Scott's shoulder. Mentally, he tole the AI, 'there is a plan, otherwise, he would have disabled the worm, right before you get to something that has more activity than usual, spread out rapidly, and infect everything, giving me complete control.' He looked over at Kylar and Vixxen, and said, "Why don't you two go and see if you can round up the others? Tell them that X and the new guy are gonna fight." with a smile.

"This is going to be right bloody fun. man, I haven't knocked anyone's head since, well since that time in Russia. Those guys can fight, normal people or not." Scott was smiling under his helmet, remembering those times. Legion, beef up the firewall proto-call's around the motor functions. I don't want to lose control of my own body. "A place...you bring a friend." After she jumps into the deep waters of this cavern, I begin to wonder what I can share with her. I don't really have anything special, mostly spending time in my room, secluded from the outside world, except for my doctor. She cares about this place enough to share it with me, I'm sure that I'm her friend now. 'How do I make her know I'm her friend too?' It's not that I haven't spent time for her, well I've known her truly for 2 days only but that's it. Maybe I need to find something special in my life. I'll have to ask about that tomorrow, maybe I'll hang out with Victor...he's a succubus right? He should know about girls more than me.

I decide, if me and Valka will be friends, I'd probably be better off learning how to deal with being underwater, and also swimming faster. My decision final, I push myself into the water, floating before closing my eyes, and letting my body drift and sink into the water, being complete relaxed, until I am down to the bottom of the cavern with her, then open my eyes, and open my mouth slowly. This is different than the pool, the Chlorine isn't burning my eyes, it's actually calmer, and I can get up faster. "Don't swim away, I still need you to help me if I get trapped in here somehow."

"You won't get trapped," Valka giggled easily, "I promise. Here hold on to my hand. If you're going to try and be underwater you've gotta get a feel for the water when it's rushing past you. Oh! and if you start to feel like you might need air give my hand a pull and I'll take you right up, alright?"

Smiling Valka held out a hand for him and waited for his reply. She thought it was so sweet that he was trying to swim without breathing, but it did worry her a bit. She would hate herself if anything went wrong. As long as she could ensure his safety that would be ok. Otherwise she wasn't sure if this was a good idea or not......

"Uh sure X, will do, this seems like it could get interesting. Cyborg match up of the century" Kylar joked.
"So Vixen, about those friends you told me about earlier, what do you say we go find them and watch two guards go at each other for once." Kylar looked at her and gave a mischievous smile. " Is it horrible that I think it'll be fun to watch them turn each other into scrap?

Vixen smiled and giggled.
"Nope! It'll be fun to watch them fight! Let's go and find everyone! Come on! See you soon Bot Bros!"
She laughed and dashed off to the rooms to try and find her friends.

"Well, thats two for a phisical fight..." X muttered, with a smile. He got another mental report: 'Fire wall 3 breached, and there is a larger quality of firewall protection at where the motor controls seem to be. Shall I bypass it?' he thought about it for a moment, then replied, 'Negative, I'm not the cheeting type, just skip on ahead, I want the data that he's got, not to immobilize him.' He snapped back to the real world, and said, "Well, lets go see if some of the scientists want to give us an audience. I know of a dwarf, but he's a bit temperamental."

"I can't...hold hands remember, well though last time. You were able to touch me. If your hand starts to hurt, just let go of me, I'll be ok." I tell her closing my eyes, trying to suppress my powers, knowing it wouldn't work at all, and hold only two of her fingers with a tight grip. "Water rushing past me...you can swim that fast?" My eyes open a little wider, becoming intrigued about what abilities she has, what a siren really is. The most I know is that they have scales, and and that they sing. Apparently they both kill as well. "Actually, before we start...can you tell me more about sirens." I let go of her hand, and like a child I stare at her intently.

"Are they really good singers? Do they really kill sailors? Are they really pretty? Why do they sink ships?" One after another, my curiosity pops out more and more questions for her, stopping at this last question. "Do you think that they are close friends with my dad since they kill?"

"Alright, lets get going." Scott walked behind X, ready to get a nice group for the cyborg brawl. Commander Jackson, mulitply firewall breaches on level 3. take action? No, let it keep going. pull all firewall strength from lower level data and reroute it between motor controls and the main data stores. Yes, Jackson Commander. Firewall protocalls rerouted.

X walked over to Klacno's lab, and knocked on the door, not even bothering to wait for a responce, he entered. "Hey, doc, you need any assistance? Or would you rather take a break and watch me and the new kid brawl?" The short little scientist jumped, slamming his head on the metal over his head, wedging him in farther. The only thing that was visible were his feet, sticking out of an air intake tube. "GET ME THE @#$& OUT OF HERE! YOU STUPID ROBOT!" the little dwarf swore savagely, then he said, "OR I WILL TAKE YOU APART AND TURN YOU INTO A CRATE FOR PINEAPPLES!"

Valka giggled at Mauta as questions started to pour from him like water from a faucet. Smiling at him she allowed herself to sink down to the cave floor and placed her hands behind her head.

"Let's see," she said, "I've never met any other sirens, but my family has always had extremely good singers. I've never personally killed a sailor, but I've always heard accounts of sirens drowning and eating sailors. Um, I am a really fast swimmer. Even the fish have a hard time keeping up. As for being pretty...well, do you think I'm pretty? Er, uh, don't answer that actually. Heh I was just kidding....uh what we're the other two questions? O-oh right! Un sinking ships I suppose would be for the food....Er, and maybe territory. I don't know I've never had to survive out in the open water....as for my kind being friends with your dad....well I don't know. Maybe. We could ask him I suppose. Maybe he could tell us if there are any sirens left somewhere. It would be interesting to meet them.....Up to you though I suppose."

Valka smiled and watched as her hair started to float upwards through the water. It looked like seaweed and made her feel like she was in the ocean. She really missed it. She wanted to be able to swim out in the open ocean and mingle with the fish. The deep salty water an colorful fish always made her feel more alive.

As Kazuki opened his eyes, he let out a sigh. The last several days were a blur, as the effects of sedation still lingered in his veins. "You knew this day would come eventually," he mumbles to himself. "They're going to make you go outside today." The mere thought seemed absurd. Why would he want to be around people? It had been so long since he had any meaningful conversation with anyone. "Maybe I can make some good come from this. I haven't trained since I got here."

With a sigh of resignation he gets dressed. A white jacket and baggy pants seemed appropriate. He didn't care what the weather was anyway. He shoves his keycard into his back pocket, then pulls out his only real possession, his MP3 player and earbuds. He plays a random song as he makes his way toward the training center. He keeps his eyes low, walking to his destination from memory alone. When he arrives, he observes his surroundings, making note of anyone who might there as well.

Kylar and Vixen were running through the facility looking for the friends Vixen had been missing. But as they're running Kylar noticed someone near the training facility. Well X didn't say only people we know have a say, and the more the merrier for escape he thought.
"Hey Vixen I've never seen that guy by the training facility before, but maybe he'd like to jump in on the shenanigans". Kylar went to approach and felt some kind of static in the air. "Hmm this one pulses with electricity, better tread carefully" he thought. Kylar walked over, cheerful as usual, careful not to invade any personal boundaries.
"Hey, never seen you around before, I'm Kylar and this is Vixen, don't mean to cut into your training time, but would you be interested in a cyborg death match between two guards?"

Kazuki stops, hearing footsteps running his direction. He clinches his fist, expecting to be attacked. When Kylar approaches and speaks, he loosens his grip and looks him over. Almost instantly he analyzes Kylar. Roughly his height, though he lookes stronger than Kazuki. The tendril marks, probably a product of his ability, "He may be able to hit multiple targets at once..." His focus changes to Vixen, summing her up as best he can. He thinks to himself: "Golden eyes, slight build but most likely very nimble. Fiery hair and pale... she looks like she hasn't eaten in a week. Might be to weak to be worth anything in a fight."

"It would have to be somewhere outdoors. It's been so long since i've been outside..."

He nods after a moment. "Sure, I'll come with you. Perhaps I can benefit from this exhibition." He tucks his hands into the large pockets of his hoodie. "By the way, I am Kazuki." He speaks his name with almost a spit, as if he really doesn't care if they know his name or not.

Sitting there, processing all of her questions, making sure I have the information right with all of my questions, except that last one. I'm not sure I want too speak with my father, ever. He told me something today, but through his scary look, I don't want too see him again. "My dad is...special. He might know...but then if he knows..I know." I close my eyes and slowly open them again, there is no white in my eyes, as if I'm robotic, about to restate something as if it's normal everyone should know. "There are exactly 397 Sirens on sector 576, planet 5, otherwise known as earth. 57 are children, 150 teens, and 190 Adults/Senoirs. Age groups these creatures, seeing as they age slower than most creatures in the world, are 0-25 are children, 26-42 are teens since still not fully developed, and 43 above are adults, on average. Since the break out on Earth, for your case, you are still a child still in both cases, until you go through 10 more years instead of 2 if you were human."

After stating this, my pupils come back and I stare at the ground. "How would a Siren make babies...no, over thinking. Ok, I'm ready to swim." After having no recollection of what I just said, my mind has tracked all the way back to when she asked me to hold her hand and get used to the water.

Valka blushed when Mauta brought up the question of mating. Of course she knew how it worked, but telling a guy about it?! Laughing nervously when Mauta changed the subject she gently grabbed his hand and took a shaky breath.

"You ready then," she asked sounding more relaxed, "cause if you aren't then you might get dizzy and pass out. Like I said I go pretty fast. I don't want to have to give you CP...R-Um, but you are ready right?"

Valka mentally kicked herself as she tried not to blush or think about anything intimate. She had to stop that or Mauta would think she was a total weirdo! Placing a smile on her face she kicked off of the cavern bottom to get them floating. She had to get going fast or she was going to do something really embarrassing.

"Hmm? Red under water..." My head tilts a bit to the side about the strange combination, though I laugh, well under hearty, laugh with her as she takes my hand. "I'm ready, Valka. Don't worry, I already can't drown, so being unconscious under water, or asleep probably wont kill me either. My body will be the judge of your speed." I tell her then look down at the cavern floor when she mentions CPR. "You'd..probably die if our lips touched...even down here. Besides, I don't need air, apparently."

My head and body straighten's up when she ask me if I'm ready. "Yes, I'm ready to get used to swimming with you." I tell her and shake a bit when she lifts me up off the floor so easily, though we are under water. "Lets go."

X burst out laughing, as he reached down, grabbing the scientist's leg, and giving it a quick jerk, pulling the scientist out, with a loud pop. He came out, and hung there, momentarily stunned, then he started to thrash about, yelling "NOW PUT ME DOWN!" which only caused X to laugh all the harder, as he dropped the scientist. "So, hehe, what's your answer, do you want to see us brawl?" The scientist muttered darkly under his breath, then said, "So long as you get your butt handed to you, sure." X turned to Scott, and said, "Right that's one down, lets go to a few other people.

Valka felt her face heating up even more and nodded when Mauta said he was ready. Giving a powerful kick she shot off through the underwater tunnels like a bullet. Her speed forced water past them in a way that would prevent most creatures with gills from breathing. Fortunately being a siren her gills were powerful enough to continue pulling oxygen from the water rushing past. Smiling as she gained more and more speed she glanced back to see how Maura was fairing. She hoped it wasn't to fast for him because it felt good to stretch we legs, but she would stop if he wasn't doing well. No matter how good it felt she wanted to make sure he was having fun too. It would be no good if she was selfish and didn't let him have fun too.

"K-AAHHHHHH!!!" As she kicks, a strong rush of adrenaline passes in my body, as well as the powerful rushing water which forces me to close my eyes for protection. It feels a little painful, but a little exhilarating. A little like a roller coaster, except I don't when the end will come. This rushing sensation makes me hold on tighter to her hand, but also makes me smile liking this feeling of excitement. This feeling helps fill my next sentence with excitement. "DON'T STOP!" I yell out and laugh a bit more as I enjoy this ride.
