In the year 1945, Allied forces invaded a fortress controlled by Nazis in Romania. Within the fortress, the Allies found Nazi scientists and occultists meddling with a circular door that looked very out of place. So thrown by the site, the Allies stood and watched as the door opened.

The gate filled the great hall of the fortress with a bright light. Out of the light came what could only be called Demons. Those events coincided with the end of World War 2.

Most reading this would immediately think that the moment after they came out of the gate, the demons viciously killed everyone inside the castle. However, what followed were a series of talks and cover-ups surrounding the demons. The demons which came through spoke to the leaders of the world on intelligent, peaceful terms. After months of the talks, demon-kind was allowed to live among man as long as they remain undercover.

But with the reasonable demons came the trouble makers. With these more vicious demons came the rise of the Demon Hunters in 1953. These unknown groups kept the public in the dark about Demon existence until 1990. In that year, the United Nations revealed the Demons to the rest of the world. At first, the public reacted with fear until the Demon Hunters came into light. With the Hunters to keep the violent demons at bay, human and demon kind were able to co-exist.

Jump to 2009. Violent demon activity has risen around the world and the Demon Hunters have their work cut out for them. But with the rise of new Hunter groups, they are hopeful. The income for Hunters has also increased.

The source of the activity is a mafia-like group within the Demon underground calling themselves the Black Family. Their members are searching for powerful artifacts around the world. Hunter groups have attempted to get more information, but all infiltrated agents were found out and killed. Something needs to be done. But it is very hard to get Demon Hunters to focus on a single group.


Daemons: Lowest rank. These are easily destroyed due to their lack of immunities and powers.

Daemites: Still rather weak, Daemites are hardly more deadly than Daemons, except that they have a resistance to blades.

Demons: The most common class and encountered almost daily. Demons, as usual, possess speed and strength above that of a human as well as a resistance to blades and projectiles.

Dorgons: Reptilian demons that spawned the legends of Dragons and such. The most well known Dorgon being the Loch Ness Monster. The first caste to show a specific weakness. Mainly a weakness to extreme cold.

Gorgons: Most commonly referred to as Succubi, Gorgons are the more docile and only all female caste. Not dangerous unless angered and weak to iron.


Horrors: Affiliated with tales of the Boogeyman, Horrors are night-demons that terrorize children and the sleeping. However, most rarely hurt those they stalk. They are most vulnerable during the day.

Nightmares: Out of all the demon types, these are the most deformed. That is what makes them frightening. Only appearing at night, Nightmare demons range from shapeless masses to collections of arms, legs, eyes, and pointy things. Only veteran Hunters should approach and be armed with pure silver.

Warriors: Demons built for combat. Most common trait is natural armor. Weakest under the arms and behind the knees.

Gladiators: More deadly fighters. They usually possess some kind of elemental power. Best to use the opposite element to destroy them.

Soldiers: Professional fighting demons. Should only be approached by veteran Hunters with specially crafted weapons implementing armor piercing and some kind of element.

Warmasters: Only five documented encounters between Hunters and Warmasters exist. Two have positive results. Warmasters share a common allergic reaction to the blood of the dead.

Warlords: DO NOT APPROACH. All Warlords are extremely powerful and no Hunter has survived long enough to find out any kind of shared traits.

The rivulets are filled with a mix of mercury and molten steel that he can use to cover his body in flames at will. His eyes take on a shaper shape and glow deep red while his mouth becomes something akin to a permanent grin.

Hunter Group: Demon’s Blood
Short History: Born the son of a powerful demon Warlord and a human lawyer, Neflame spent the majority of his time with his father, as per caste tradition, learning the ways of combat. Blending in with humans was easy for Neflame since he naturally had a human appearance and did not have to go through the sometimes painful learning process of changing out of one’s demon form into a more human one. At age ten, he spent more time with his mother learning about human culture and traditions. When he was fifteen, he met a human boy named Thomas, the two quickly becoming inseparable. They were nineteen when the idea of demon hunting as a way of living sprang into Neflame’s head. It was an idea that his father was very approving of and that his mother did not oppose, knowing that it would accomplish nothing.

Neflame and Tom formed Demon’s Blood, a two-man hunting operation. Neflame let Thomas handle the money and general management side of things and elected to take care of the majority of the fighting. Six years later, Neflame picked up Karen during a job and convinced Tom to add her to the team. A few months later, the half-demon picked up Emily, a technical genius, in the same manner. Since the full formation of Demon’s Blood, Neflame’s name has become well-known within the demonic and human underground, particularly where hunters are involved.

Short History: As one of the oldest vampires still living in the world, Mannfred has seen and experienced just about everything one could wish to. Well traveled and well heeled, he regularly seeks novelty and new diversions to keep him entertained. In his long life, Mannfred has been witness to just about every major world altering event. He has fought in most major wars in some fashion or another, been the secret lover of countless noble ladies and princesses, and many other dubious activities not to be discussed among public ears. After the connection of Earth to the demonic realms, Mannfred’s constant travel came to a halt. The vampire wished to view the new change from a stationary position. He became active again once the various hunters and hunter groups began popping up to deal with the more troublesome demons. He took on the role of selling information to any hunter willing to buy. With the amount of connections he has, getting the information is an easy task for Mannfred. For some of the hunter groups, he also acts as a weapons dealer, selling the goods provided by a personal friend.

Short History: Dinath was born in the human world and had almost no contact with his own kind. in his late 20s he realized that both worlds needed people willing to fight evil people Human and Demonic. So for the next several years he patrolled the streets of his home city killing any evil person he found, murderers, rapists, drug dealers, any one who willingly commited evil acts.

Well, Hatless...As Co-Gm I can say that I'm rather displeased with your attitude...but as Mathias is meant to be human, and Atrum was going to play him anyway before you asked, I would ask you to please make him someone else.

Sorry if my attitude came off as sour or anything, I just wanted to point out that it was my character sheet and offered a compromise since you didn't like what I did with the "New guy" role. In hind sight I probably could have sounded more polite, and for that I apologize.

No big thing. Just a couple little details about the CS as it stands now:

It would be a big help if you could make it just a bit more clear what demonic caste he falls into. The only other thing that needs changing is the reference to Demon's Blood in the bio. Fix those and you're good to go!

Brief Description of the Group: A family of powerful warlocks. Using power from demonic origins to hunt demons, people, and track down powerful artifacts.

Appearance: 5'6" Waist length black hair, with streaks of silver. Her eyes are emerald green. She prefers to wear well fitted jeans, tailored long coats, and cosy long sleeved shirts. She sports a pair of worn yet sturdy black leather boots.

Warlock abilities:
Mara has a multitude of spells at her disposal. Her main attack spells includes a blue mystic fire known as the Eldritch fire, which she summons along the length of her arm and can be cast at her enemies. While not causing any physical damage, it effectively "burns" in the target's mind, causing them to feel as if their soul were aflame, visiting mental anguish and torment upon the victim. Can be lethal if a single enemy is attacked repeatedly. In addition, if she's able to touch a victim's wound, she can mix her blood with that of her enemy, enabling her to control them for a limited amount of time.
Mara also has the ability to side step, or teleport. If she chooses to invoke the great amount of power needed, she can teleport a short distance, leaving behind a double that looks, acts, and even smells like her. The image left behind disappears after a few seconds.
If a reflective surface is at hand, she can use it to step a little further, the destination being another reflective surface such as a mirror or body of water. She can take a few subjects with her as long as they are all touching.
The reflective surface must be big enough for all subjects to either jump or walk into, such as a puddle as wide as the shoulders or a mirror as tall as the subject.
The last important invocation she can use is her demon sight, a direct gift of power from the demon bond of her family's bloodline. She can see through darkness as if it were daylight. She also gains a certain amount of clarity and is able to move much quicker than normal. It also gives her the ability to see supernatural auras and spirits.
There are many downfalls to this use of power. The power itself is of demonic origin. It takes its toll on Mara physically, mentally, and spiritually. When she invokes the power of the demon she becomes weak or even incapacitated depending on the severity of the spell.
Visibly, when she uses the power, her eyes turn completely black and dark veins become pronounced on her temples, hands and arms. In between invocations she is quite sickly, with dark circles around her eyes, a bloody cough, and an overall ill and fragile constitution.
With every invocation Mara takes a step towards loosing her soul entirely to the demon. If she were to continue usage without break or pause, the power would begin to manifest at the demon's will trapping her within her own body. She would become nothing but a tool for his bidding, an avatar of the demon.

Hunter Group Affiliation: The Seras Family

Short History:Mara is from a ancient family of witches and warlocks. Their first encounter with anything supernatural happened a very long time before Mara's birth, but this much is known. One of her ancestor's made a pact with a very powerful demon to receive it's power. This man would receive the abilities of the demon and an abnormally long life span. On the other end, the man promised to serve the demon and furthermore that the rest of his family would also serve him until the bloodline died. The pact was made and from then on the Seras family was bound to this evil.
Since then none of the family has every been face to face with the demon. None until Mara was born. None but a few family members know what truly happened. But all know that after Mara's sixteenth birthday she manifested the demon's sight. A gift none of the other members can lay claim to.

Don't know if this works. I kinda chopped up a character I made before and never got much use of.

So will there be a rough storyline to this? Or rather a direction you want it to head or are we making everything our own way.

Just weighing up whether or not to make a loner character.

It'll start out as everyone doing their own thing for a bit. Then I'll toss in the plot point where everyone important starts lookin for a set of powerful artifacts that do...something. I haven't quite got EVERYTHING worked out, but I will once we start.
